We were searching for a solution and we googled and Cambridge Credit Counseling popped up. They had really good reviews and then when I did the initial discussion with our intake person, it was really good and it felt like they took care of us. We went through the enrollment process four years ago and we really felt like we have been listened to. We had issues that's why we went to them. We weren't ever made to feel like what we had done was wrong. They were like, "Okay, this is the situation we're in. Let's find a solution. And here's how we're going to take care of you."
We had a lot of interactions with the Cambridge counselor initially in the first few months. There was a lot of communication and we liked that they listened to us and helped us find a solution. That was our favorite part. I've had a really good experience. The payment plan went really well and it was great. We laid out where we were, the situation we were in, and what we can afford. The cost of the program was good. They moved it back out that we saved so much by going with that program. We appreciated that there was a lot of interest that was able to be negotiated on or eliminated. So, the fees really didn't bother us and we saved significantly.
We just finished in February with our last payment and that was awesome. We now budget better and make more informed choices. We don't use credit cards at all like we used to. If we do use one, we pay it off that month and we don't pay any interest. It definitely completely changed our financial outlook and how we manage our personal budget. I have recommended Cambridge Credit Counseling to several people and we tell them that they are the place to go especially if we know that they are having financial issues and they want to get out of credit card debt and really find a way to get control of their finances.

Congratulations, Natalie, you're debt free! We are thrilled to hear what you have to say. We understand that getting onto our program takes a lot of trust, and some people might feel embarrassed or ashamed. Our counselors are not here to judge and they would like nothing more than to help you move forwards in your journey to being debt free. The first step is the hardest part!
We're also glad to hear that you have changed the way you approach credit card usage. We are advocates of financial education, and the real goal of our debt management program is to ensure that our clients truly understand the value of a budget.

I used Cambridge before when I had a credit debt that I needed to get rid of. I interacted with my counselor the first time just to set up but I did the process automatically. So it was very easy to enroll the second time. The only thing with the automatic withdrawal was when I messed up my one payment and then after that I had to do money orders the rest of the time. I wish I could have paid with my card online or on the phone.

I've been laid off and when I missed one payment on my Citi card, my interest rate went from 12% to 18%. I thought that I’d never be able to work my credit card debt out. But Cambridge Credit Counseling was pretty easy to work with. They arranged everything and the counselor was really good. He was easy to talk to, he explained everything to me, and we worked out payments that I could make. One of the companies wouldn’t go below a certain percentage, so I just paid that one myself. Still, I was happy with my experience. Being able to have auto payment and not be worried every month really took a load off my mind. I’m struggling with one of my Citi accounts now though, so I might contact Cambridge in the future about that.

I had an overwhelming amount of bills. I called Cambridge's number and they answered. They saw my needs and were very good. They were able to get me into a payment agreement and I paid monthly. It stopped the creditors from calling me and they lowered my interest rates as well. They got me into a reasonable payment that I could afford and got me back in better financial health than I was. Their reps did everything I asked and if I had questions, they were available to call. The only thing is, their hours were 9:00 to 5:00 and I work 9:00 to 5:00, so that was a little hard. But I was very pleased with the program and I would refer them if anyone was in a financial situation and needed their help. They put something into a process that worked for me and I was very happy with it.

Cambridge consolidated all my debts and gave me a payment that was doable. I could pay off my creditors and I don't have to file bankruptcy and I can get things squared away in a reasonable amount of time. I got email updates from them if anything changes or when one of the creditors just paid off. Also, the cost was fine and reasonable. My wife and I were in a whole lot of less stress because of Cambridge. My wife has lost her job and it took her six months to get another one. That put us in the hole and we got behind on everything. With Cambridge, there were no threatening, harassing and bugging us. It was a major weight taken off our shoulders. So we're still able to get everybody paid off the money that we owed. I would definitely recommend Cambridge.

I got into some debt and I needed to get out of it. I'm disabled so I need some help with things and my sister recommended Cambridge Credit Counseling. The amount I paid was $101 per month and $13 of that went to Cambridge Credit and the rest went towards my bills. And the bills are all paid now. I worked with a counselor and I only really saw him one time. We got the process going and the payment just came out of my account automatically. Then once the account is paid off, they sent me a groovy looking certificate or diploma. There was only maybe once or twice when I had a question and I just went into the place and I saw the lady at the front desk. She got the appropriate person and got me the answer I needed. The cost of their program was reasonable and Cambridge helped me out a lot. They're a good company and I would recommend them to other people who got debts. Don't get into debt.

I was looking for a way to get out of my situation and Cambridge offered the best solution. They did consolidation for me and got my debt down to where I could afford and I had $61,000 in debt. The only thing was when I first got into the program, the rep, Chris, didn’t explain the credit situation to us. But other than that, I got through it for four years so it was fine. He didn’t explain to me really well about trying to get a loan after I was so far in the program. But he was really nice to me and that kind of persuaded me to go his way. I had trouble making the payments but as far as what they charged me and what I had to pay, that was no problem at all. It was all explained to me fine. I'd certainly tell friends to do the program because Cambridge did me a good job. They improved my life and it was a good experience.

We needed to pay off our debts, our cards, and different loan accounts. And what we have been doing was that we would make payments on cards and then turn around and use what we could out of it minus any interest that was being charged. It's called seesawing. Then we got in touch with Cambridge and for a while, they put us in a crunch because we were accustomed to being able to make a payment but then we got overloaded with credit card debts. When we tried to calculate, since we received payments like my wife's pension and then we'd get her annuity and her Social Security, we had to work around those three payment time frames that my wife received funds every month. It was driving her nuts and I understood why. But once we were able to make everything work, everything was great.
Tim was our first contact and our conversations with him were always good. In addition, the $30 a month fee was fair given that it got the interest rates on all my different accounts reduced substantially. One thing we did not like though was that it showed us a negative on our credit record and it made a dent in our credit report. That kind of stuff should not be on our credit report because we're doing what we need to do in order to make sure that our accounts all get paid. We've been responsible instead of just telling a company that we don't want to make payments and that they should just leave us alone. Still, everything was good. We appreciated that the whole system worked for us and got everything paid off. In fact, I referred someone to Cambridge for the third time.

I felt overwhelmed with all the monthly payments I was making for my different credit card debts, and I was starting to fall behind. I had used a credit counseling service years ago and when I called their number, it directed me to Cambridge. I reached out to them for assistance, and for the most part, everything was automated. My payments came out automatically but anytime I had any concerns, I could call their reps. And if they didn’t answer, I would leave a message. They were always pleasant, helpful and quick to respond to me and I don’t have any complaints. The cost was fair and I was very satisfied with it. The program was around five years and the debts are paid off as of February. This is my second month now not having to make the payment and knowing that the accounts are paid in full and having a little bit of extra money in my pocket. It's a good feeling. Cambridge Credit Counseling has been great.

I’ve been paying the right amount for my bills but I wasn’t getting them down and I needed something structured to help me. The Cambridge counselor, John, told me the best thing to do and I tried to stick with it. They told me how much I would have to pay and the payments were set up automatically and I would have certain payments coming out every month. Cambridge put all three credit cards I had together and they went to the companies and got the rates dropped and the interest charge lowered. And Cambridge paid the debt payments for me. Working with them helped me get rid of that debt and realize that I can't live that way anymore. Also, I no longer use credit cards as I’m not good with them. I was able to pay the program early and I’m done with it. Cambridge Credit Counseling really works well for me. You’ve got to stick with the program and do it.

I had credit card debt and my company has self-help where they offer assistance to a certain program. It was like a free help upfront and they lead to the right direction. I called them and listed out that I was having financial issues. They tried to help me out and set a budget and they recommended Cambridge to me. Cambridge's enrolment process was simple. I called them and told them what the debt was and they took the credit card numbers down. When I dealt with their counselors, everything was smooth and mostly upfront. I would get statements after that and I get a call once a year seeing how things are going but it was hands off. The fees were very reasonable and it was withdrawn automatically. Cambridge docked down my interest rates and all my credit cards except for a couple of credit cards that they couldn't work with.
As the program got close to the end, they would let me know that I'll be finishing up soon. Then they'd call afterwards and they even asked if I have any other problems. I completed the 60 months program and it worked out nicely. After I made my last payment, I got over a thousand dollars more to me so that was a big help. I have no control over the deal in five years and where they combined it. They just kept withdrawing the money and I paid it off in five years. I was very happy with putting me back on the right track. I would recommend Cambridge to my friends. I will tell them that if they're in debt and paying high interest, Cambridge will talk to each creditor, knock down the interest rate and put them on a payment plan that will be less than what they're paying.

Caroline, the lady I was taking care of at the hospice, got overextended on her credit card and she was scared to get in too much trouble, so she started looking for credit counseling services. One of her friends who had used Cambridge Credit Counseling before and had a really good experience might have told her about them. Caroline had Cambridge consolidate all of her credit card debts.
During the enrollment process, she had to get all her bills and stuff together and then she had a meeting with somebody from Cambridge. They looked at what she had coming in and they figured out how much she could afford and they took that out of her checking account directly every month. The communication was mostly through fax. But in the beginning, she was a bit leery because the process was taking a while. There was a lot of going back and forth with the credit card companies that they had to do and we weren't prepared for that. Also, there wasn't a lot of communication and we had to call Cambridge and check up with them if the process was still on track. They could've had more communication upfront.
Nonetheless, the overall process was very easy and fairly quick. Cambridge took care of everything and they were very professional, and there was very little that Caroline had to do. If she didn't feel comfortable doing something, either I or my sister would've had to call and talk to Cambridge. But they were able to answer her questions without us having to call them and Caroline was able to handle everything on her own.
As Caroline's accounts were paid off, she received letters. Then, at the beginning of this month, she got a certificate saying that she was done with the Cambridge program, and that was exciting for her. Caroline kept two of her cards and she has been able to manage them. Cambridge's program was a positive experience for her overall. In addition, the cost of their service was good. I'm going through bankruptcy myself and I should have thought of going through the same process myself because the cost of the service was good and I'm seeing firsthand how much my bankruptcy is costing me. The Cambridge program was a good value in helping take care of Caroline's debts.

We talked to the Cambridge guy and he said we would be needing this and that, and that was easy. Also, the cost was not that bad, like what I was charged with the interest rate. They're charging $35 every month to pay them extra, and $500 went to my credit card company. There were a lot of changes because I had a lot of credit cards and I got charged a lot from there on. At that the time, Cambridge handled everything and we were happy with that. They did everything well. We did everything in 4 years and they even sent a certificate.

My friend’s child underwent major medical stuff and they racked up a bunch of medical bills that they could not pay off right away. So, they entered into Cambridge to get those medical bills paid off. My friend said that Cambridge came up with a really reasonable payment plan for them and they were able to get the medical bills knocked down. So, I talked to Cambridge and I enrolled with them five years ago. Their reps asked for a budget and what my current outgo was with my bills. I told them what my budget was and what my pay was. Also, I told them how many bills I had and then they were able to formulate a payment structure from that. They came up with a payment that I could afford. I was able to have them do automatic debit and they took it out every month until my credit cards were paid off. I just watched the balance go down.
Everything was pretty much automated and I didn't have much interaction with their people. Although, the reps were really nice if I had to reschedule the automatic debit out of my monthly because my paydays fall on every two weeks instead of twice a month so it was hard for me to make the specific payment on a specific date and they were able to adjust the date for me. They were really professional every time I requested some balance information and they were able to get back to me with it.
Since working with Cambridge, my life is less stressed. It's nice to be out of those big debts that I was in. I was paying quite a bit of money per month to get it paid off and it took me a long time to pay it off. So, it was very nice to have that weight lifted off my shoulders. Everything about my experience with Cambridge was positive and great. I would recommend Cambridge because they were non-invasive, and they didn't give me a hard time about being a few days late with the payment. I would use them again.

I had been with Cambridge a few years back with another account when my friend initially told me about it. And then I decided to go back with a higher credit card debt with another credit card. My mother passed but she left me some life insurance money so I was able to pay them off this time quicker.
As for the enrolment process, the Cambridge rep told me what they could do. I was interested in the payment per month and how long it would take me because I’m a retired school teacher so I had to make sure it was going to work for me. My counselor felt like I had more than enough money per month to survive without using Cambridge based on what the numbers were, my monthly income and what I need to pay out. But I have a house and I didn’t have any excess emergency fund in case something came up with the house for repairs. My house was over 20 years old so you just never know. Also, I didn’t want to go back to work so, I knew I had to get my credit under control and I’m just a shopper by nature.
With Cambridge, my monthly payment was much lower than what I could have been paying on my own. They have a really good customer service. Hopefully, there won’t be a third time that I have to be with them, now that everything is paid off. Cambridge did a good job and I would recommend them to a friend if I knew they were in need.

The interaction that I had with their counselor was great. I called them when one of the credit cards would not be quite in sync, but outside of that, I didn't have any problems. In terms of the cost in relation to the quality of service, Cambridge made it affordable. The payments were billed into our monthly payment and what I got out of it was well worth.
I was paying a very large monthly payment towards that and it was tough initially. But as things started to get paid off, I learned how to budget better and got a better control at handling things. The program was wonderful and I truly appreciate everything that they did. They were there when I needed help and I'm happy that I dealt with them and had such a good experience. I got them to restructure my credit. I went to their website, filled out a request form, went over the details of the service and then I had to fill out a worksheet. I had it all filled out with all of my credit card or whoever I owed money to and submitted that to them. I received an email and a regular mail confirming all of that. And then, they submitted the paperwork to the creditors and got back to me. They helped in reducing some of my payments. They broke it down to how much it will cost monthly and they were very upfront about where the money went as far as the money that they kept. Also, before a payment was due, I get notified a week earlier.
I've finished the program and now that those debts were paid off, I have extra money each month. It’s like getting a little raise. I have found out that I may have been able to do some of this on my own but being able to turn it over to them and allow them to do the services for me and do the work really helped. Their cost was about right considering I allowed them to do the legwork. They, however, should've given updates on what was remaining and showed where we were in the process with the creditors. I would like to have known exactly how much was owed to each creditor. I could get that information in my email but it takes time for them to respond to those requests. It would be nice to be able to log in and be able to see it real time. Other than that, Cambridge is a good option to look into especially if one is caught in the situation of getting beaten with debts.

I had Cambridge Credit Counseling last time and they helped me out. I chose them again and their program has worked for me better this time. My counselor was very good to me. Every time one of the credit card statements came, I called him and he explained it to me. And every time I asked him a question, he helped me out and told me what I needed to do. I felt really comfortable working with him and when I called him, he got back to me in a day. I did auto payment and that way, I felt comfortable when they took the money, I never missed payments, and all my payments went through. Before, I had too many credit cards and my credit was no good. But Cambridge helped me with that and it built up my credit. Every time I pay for one credit card, it goes to my credit reports that one credit card was billed then it shoots my credit off. I would recommend anybody to Cambridge if they have any problem like mine.

We were falling behind too many payments and it made me look for Cambridge's services. I reached out to them through work and they put us in contact with them when I told my work I was interested with Cambridge. Cambridge was available and I didn’t look at any other companies. I've got their consolidation program and we had to give them all the cards and other debts that we had. And then, they reached out to the companies to come up with a payment plan. They went a whole lot on that part and we had a few that we paid off early.
I called their counselors and they made changes. Everybody was really nice and I was impressed that nobody made me feel bad about the situation we were in. They set us up on a plan to get it taken care of and the payment was a lot lower than what we were paying each creditor. We had our payment deducted out of our account and it helped us get out of debt. It was a surprise just to know that we did it and I gave their name out to a couple of people during the process. I'm relieved now that it's over.

I was highly satisfied with what Cambridge did for me. I got a lot of credit cards and paying them back was overwhelming. My income was a little bit lower than what it had been and I couldn’t make minimum payments. When I was researching who I wanted to go through to manage my debts, Cambridge stuck out to me the most. They had a good recommendation and people were talking good about them. I reached out to Cambridge to manage all my debts in a debt management program.
I reached out to my creditors to find out my account numbers and how much I owed them. Then I gave Cambridge my creditors, and they worked with them to reduce my interest rate and my payments. The guy I first spoke to was simply doing his job, but based on the way he talked to me, I felt that he cared. I took his extension line number to always get a hold of him if I had questions and he answered any question I had. Even to the last day, he was the last person I spoke to. Also, I had a cell phone that went into debt collections but the people from T-Mobile changed debt collection companies and I was not notified. I notified Cambridge about the situation and they took care of that for me. I didn’t have to do any extra work towards that and I was very happy about that.
My payment a month was $340 and there was a big difference between what I was paying monthly and what Cambridge gave me price-wise. Compared to paying every individual creditor, having one payment was wonderful. Cambridge charged their own fee, which was 50 bucks from the $340. I was very happy that it wasn’t an excessive fee and that I didn’t feel taken advantage of. The interest rate that I got from most of the creditors was wonderful as well. I saved almost $20,000 going through Cambridge.
I was with them for four years and I thought I was going to be done by March, but as of January, I was done with my creditors. I was very happy to be paid off two months in advance. Cambridge also told me that they would help me work on investing, saving money and planning for my future so I really appreciated that. This was my second time of being in debt management and I liked the way Cambridge worked with me on things that I had to go through. I was very happy with everything I experienced with Cambridge.

I talked to them about three to three and a half years ago, and it was short and sweet. They filled out some paperwork on the phone, and then they sent me the paperwork to sign. I returned it to them with all my credit cards and then I had to verify bank accounts with them. It then started within a month or two. They had everything going on, they talked to my creditors, and everything was taken care of. I only talked to my counselor when I first signed up and I never had any questions after that. The reps at Cambridge were very helpful and informative.I had some numbers that I was figuring out that would cost me a month and they were very accommodating as far as the cost. The service and the cost were good.
Everybody says Cambridge is outstanding and, as for me, it's also outstanding and perfect. There were little glitches but they were very good at taking care of any problems that I didn't have to so the cost and everything else was worth it. My credit score went from 600 up to 750 and I have about $10,000 to $12,000 worth of credit card debt that is now gone. They worked out well for me. If others are looking for some way to take care of their issues that I had, I'd tell them to go with Cambridge.

I had a credit card that I needed to close out and make payments to complete. One of my mom’s friends used Cambridge in the past and gave great feedback about Cambridge Credit Counseling. So I called and their service was great. They were able to take care of everything and explain things right. They asked me questions about what was holding me back from making sure I was keeping up with paying the cards off on time. They also worked out a plan that would not only help me pay it off but also make sure that it was consistent and that it went over the minimum amount.
They took into consideration what my monthly expenses were and came up with a number that worked for me. It was manageable and I was able to hold up my end throughout the program. They were able to electronically withdraw the funds from my account and pay on the credit card monthly. They sent emails with my statements and they would reach out if there were any concerns.
They were also really good with communication and that’s pretty huge, coming from a big company. The follow-up was really good and it was never too hard to get in touch with someone. They would leave a message or email, and they made it personal. There was always an extension where I could get someone as well. That’s one of the troubles sometimes when you call a bigger financial institution. You don’t know who called and who to reach. Cambridge not only veered from that, but I was also assigned someone who I could always go back to if I had any concerns or if I needed additional help. I really liked how easy it was to get someone and have that personable experience with them.
They also offered budgeting advice and they were able to help me get the debt rectified and get the arrears down. I started the consolidation program back in 2013 and I just finished it all within this year. Working with them in those five years really helped. Now I have more cards and I might consider calling them again to get some budgeting advice and getting it going again. Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp. is a great company with a great staff.

They were detailed on what I needed to do and it made the process simpler. They told me what I needed to send in and I put it in. They handled everything and communicated monthly, and it worked well for me. And because I'm busy with my life and so it was just nice to have somebody to handle it. They didn't hassle me with emails and calls. I just set up the program and the money came out, paid every month and got it paid off. They counseled me some at the beginning and they gave me not just things that you can read online but helpful tips and things I could use in my everyday life. They walked through some things with me. I got a bit of debt paid off in a short amount of time and that positively impacted my life. I would recommend it to my family and friends if I need to. We were over our head in some credit card debt and our brother-in-law used Cambridge so we gave it a try, too. The enrollment process was good and very helpful. The gentleman took his time to work out a plan for us and even recommended some other stuff that we have to put in there. I spoke with the counselor and then we did the little surveys that they sent out to see where we were. We felt comfortable working with him. Cambridge's pricing was fair and the payment plan they had for us worked out perfectly. We stuck with the plan they designed for us and incorporated it into our lives so that we wouldn’t be in the situation again.
We have completed the program and it worked great. Our credit scores went up tremendously. Cambridge is an actual legit company. They’re very informative even when you’re on a consult. We had an idea of what we would need to do, but it was beneficial to have them there and be our voice to the creditors. We had a very good experience with them. I referred Cambridge to people that I know are having the same issues that we had. They can trust that Cambridge is going to pay their creditors off. I’ve had a few friends who have reached out to Cambridge after being scammed by other companies.

I had a lot of bills and I wanted to get it manageable. I had used Cambridge in the past and I'm currently using them for debt consolidation. The first time they reached out by phone more. This time it was always through the internet. During enrollment I spoke to their rep on the phone and I told them which credit cards I wanted to consolidate. They also asked me how much I wanted to give a month and they did a contract.
Based on my contract they started taking that amount out each month off my checking account. I'm done with both program and I was able to completely pay off my debt. I was paying more attention to my contract now and how I paid them to do the program. In the future if I need to do that I probably would do it on my own. With the extra money now I can pay off something quicker than I would have normally.
If you're being lazy like I was and you want to make sure that your debt is taken care of Cambridge is a good company to depend on. I had a business I had to shut down and I carried debt for that business so I was trying to get that paid off and get it off of my head. Instead of going bankrupt, I did the responsible thing and paid it off. Cambridge was reasonable and they had good reviews. I did debt consolidation management where I pay them monthly, and then they pay my debtors. The enrollment process was simple. I gave them all my information on the account that I was starting a loan with. They called and negotiated the interest rate and how much the debtor would take, the lowest they would take on a monthly basis to make sure it would fit my needs. Then they told me what they came up with and I felt it was reasonable.
The total process took about four years. Cambridge had it set to how much it would cost per creditor, what the minimum they wanted, how much interest it was going to be, how much their charge was per month and a projected timeframe. I paid it off early although they had a projected timeframe of how long. They called me and sent me emails. Every month, I got a statement. The rep said to make sure everything was going down, not up, or if there were any problems, to give them a call immediately. When I had an issue, I had to move one of my checking accounts and they were right on it fast.
The amount that I owed determined my monthly payment. They called the debtors and negotiated what the debtors would take on a monthly basis, and what they thought I could afford. I had to fill out the long sheet of my bills I was paying then we determined what was fair. The interest rate was reduced in some cases. Some weren’t much but some were significant, and it helped. I kept my interactions with the staff at Cambridge simple. I started an account solely separate from my wife and I’s personal joint account. Luckily, my employer did that and they put money in auto entry into that account and made it streamlined. I made sure the money was there so I wouldn’t stress out about it.
My counselor knew how much the debtors would take off for the most part and what they would reduce the interest rate to and how much they would take on a percentage basis every month. He submitted that to the debtors and they said it was fine. Then he came back to me if I was good with it, and I said yes. He was a compassionate dude. He understood things happen. The people at Cambridge didn’t make me feel like some big fat loser just because I got behind. I liked that they would call me and they wouldn't hound me if I got any questions or concerns. They offered other programs and an assortment of things and they weren't pushy like a used car salesman. Sometimes I had to call and ask them for a bit of help doing something and they were right on and got it taken care of quickly. There was always somebody there I could talk to and it wasn’t just email.
The cost of the program was reasonable. There was an initial setup fee of 50 something bucks and I paid them $20 to $29 a month. The statement showed every month how much they were charging. It was the same every month and I paid everything off a month ago. Working with Cambridge helped tremendously. Everybody that's in this situation should use them or someone like them to help them out and get them back on their feet. Cambridge reassures you if you get in the program and you stick with it. You got to stick with it and try to think of it as a car payment. I tried to forget about it although I knew it was there. I also made sure the money was there. Cambridge did the rest and that made it a lot easier. I just checked my creditors to make sure it was going down and I calculated how many months I had left.
Anybody having debt issues should really consider this before going bankruptcy because bankruptcy lingers on your credit for a long time. Being on this program doesn’t affect your credit negatively although it shows up. Once I started making those regular payments, I saw my credit going up until someone stole my identity. Cambridge didn’t know about that and my credit took a dump. Then I got that all straightened out so it's starting to go back up again. It's only been a month and a half and it’s a big pain in the butt. Cambridge is very proactive in helping me, but it's the person who's in debt that needs to put forth the effort. They weren’t shady, which I was worried about at first. I was a little skeptical so I did some reviews online. That helped but I never knew how much of those reviews were real. By talking to them, I knew it was a legit company. I've recommended them.

The only thing that I didn’t get was the running balances of how much was owed on each card. I got the amount that was paid on each card every month but I didn’t get the amount that was due. Whenever I asked for the balance so I could tell where I was, they would give it to me. But it was the total balance, and they didn’t really break it up per card. Now I make sure I pay at the end of the month because I don't want companies gouging people with 12 and 18 percent. I'm not going to go shopping and go buy stuff if I have to pay 18 percent on it. I'm so done with those companies. I have a girlfriend and she was at one point, using that overdraft all the time. And I said, “They just take it out of your account every month, you don’t even know it." I set something up. I told them I wanted them to send me a paper like, every month, that it was taken out of my account and they did. It would just deduct for my checking accounts and it worked out. My debt was so large that I couldn’t handle it on my own. I was living down in Delaware at that time and saw Cambridge's ad on an internet website and they sounded good. I inquired with them and everything worked out. I submitted to them the total amount of debt and all the creditors and supplied the account numbers. I also supplied my personal income so that they could figure things out. They looked at the debt that I was in and they structured a payment plan. They also reduced the interest charged on a few of my debts which was extremely helpful. Then, they made my monthly payment affordable, so it turned into a 4-year loan to pay off. All they did was set one account up and I just paid it every month and I absolutely liked it that way. Also, my fee to Cambridge was very low. I couldn’t have asked for a better deal. I was very impressed.
Most of my interactions with Cambridge was done online and I rarely needed to talk to anybody except at the very beginning. Once it was all set up, it just flowed every month. However, in June of 2017, I was hit by bank fraud and my checking and savings accounts were wiped out, so there was a hurdle I had to go over because if I didn’t give Cambridge my money for the debt, they were going to discontinue their relationship with me. I had to scrounge up a couple of hundred dollars to give them even though the bank fraud wasn’t my fault.
Cambridge made my life extremely easy for four years though. It was such a relief to pay a company just one lump sum and have them distribute it to all my creditors, rather than having me fumble through eight bills trying to figure out who gets what money and how much. The efficiency was very good. At the end of paying off all my bills, they sent me a little exit package and they’re very helpful on how to structure a budget. They also have money experts to help me with taxes and investments. All these are free stuff. They even sent me a certificate of achievement for paying off all my creditors. I kept the certificate of achievement because I want to be reminded that it’s no fun to be in debt and for me to watch my money more carefully.
The Cambridge staff is extremely nice and very helpful, and they respond very well. They're genuinely concerned about people and the fact that these people are in debt. I’m impressed that they are letting me continue on with them if I have any further questions about staying out of debt or building up my own income. They’re a 5-star company.

I sent the documents back to them along with my bank information because it was an automatic draft. It was a very quick process. They had three of my cards and one had quit charging me the interest. They lowered the interests of the other ones so most of my payment was going to the principal instead of the interest. I was overextended and in a lot of debt. When I called and spoke with the guy at Cambridge, he seemed to be on the up and up. They were the opportunity to get control over my debts without filing bankruptcy. They were able to consolidate all of my bills into one payment and negotiate the interest of my creditors while I was on the credit reduction plan. I was able to have a working amount of capital to live off of each month. The most difficult part of it all was getting all the account numbers, addresses and contact information for each and every creditor, because I had multiple cards. But the enrollment process was pretty simple. Early on, there was some difference in some of the creditors with their due dates versus my Cambridge due date. So we had to do some tweaking where I had to pay one of the creditors a month in advance so that the due date didn’t fall behind every month. But it was all pretty seamless.
$24 was the amount that went to Cambridge every month, but that cost was minuscule compared to what I received in service. Working with them made it that much easier to have disposable income, to not be stressing, to not cringe every time the phone rings ‘cause you’re wondering which bill collector is yelling and screaming on the other end of the line, or not being afraid to go to the mailbox. I had a great experience with Cambridge Credit Counseling but enrolling in their program was not easy at all. They didn’t understand my hardship, which was frustrating because I needed help. If I look towards someone for help, I need them to understand me, not to reject and reject. Not, "why, why, why," nor, "not acceptable, not acceptable." It was harsh and it broke my heart. They didn't understand that I was helping my family in Mexico, I didn’t have enough money here and I don’t have any evidence to show where the other part of my money is caught.
There were too many questions and I was sincerely honest with them. They need to have a bit more conscience and a bit more open mind and make it easier rather than be tough. They did come back and talk to my husband, he gave them a little bit more information and then things worked out thanks to my husband. It was hard in the beginning but later on, things worked out good. Cambridge did a good counseling and they were awesome to me. Their counselors helped me a lot and I appreciated the talk but I don’t know if I will go back again. I have to be more careful and more prepared.

Socorro, thank you for taking the time to review our services. One of the services our company provides is a full budget analysis and debt consultation with a certified counselor. These appointments are meant to identify all areas of spending and income, as well as identifying any circumstances that could be causing debt or making it difficult to pay off debts. We do not intend to make this a difficult process, we only strive to identify areas of improvement within your budget! We wish to develop the tools and information necessary for our clients to foster a better understanding of their finances before, during, and after they've gone through our program.

I was consolidating my debt to get my credit correct and I was referred to Cambridge Credit Counseling. They set up a payment plan in such a way that I'd send an electronic payment every month. I have completed the process but it was a struggle dealing with their reps. Notes were taken and phone calls were never returned. Towards the end of the agreement, dealing with their people became a process. I would stay current on how much I owed and what the deadline was, and they ended up sending me money back. In the end, I felt jaded because they helped me, but they really didn't. They could have done better.

I sought debt consolidation with Cambridge Credit Counseling. After the phone conversation, they were the friendliest. The person I’ve spoken to assured me that after the first three on-time payment with them, it would increase my credit score, and basically wipe off the bad debt which I did see that it happened. The initial conversation and how that went really kept me with them.
Enrollment was all over the phone. They took care of all that so they asked me a bunch of lifestyle questions, such as where is my money going and what do I like, and what I don’t like. So, that way when we came up with a payment it wouldn’t be a sacrifice. I wouldn’t be sacrificing going shopping or going out to eat, or whatever to make these monthly payments. We then came up with a payment that was doable every month, and they just walk me through all that, and we did the automatic deductible every month. The cost is fine and they take out $10 for my payment. They attached it to the total number of payments and that is fine. Cambridge gives me a peace of mind. I’ve already recommended two or three people over to them. If people are looking into consolidating any type of debt or student loans or what have you, I just always go straight to referring them to Cambridge.

I was looking for help in my financials and somebody mentioned Cambridge Credit Counseling. I got them and a counselor called me and I explained my situation and what I wanted. And they helped me close the account and they made an affordable payment plan for five years. We did the last payment in December and we closed in January. My experience with them was excellent.
The counselor kept in constant communication with me, asking me if everything was okay, if I needed to do any change, improvement, and if it was still possible to continue with the program as scheduled. I didn’t have major changes like loss of work, but I appreciated that he was more helpful and always available. He was very kind, attentive, and supportive.
Our payment plan was good, especially because we were paying about the same amount each month, and for years, my balance did not go down. So, with the five-year plan, Cambridge managed to make a deal with the bank and close the credit card, put on a low interest rate, and make affordable payments, which was something I could manage. The money was withdrawn month after month, so I didn’t have to worry as long as I had the money in my bank.
Working with Cambridge gave me peace of mind. I’m planning retirement in a few years, and I cannot retire if I have debt. So, it was a major step because it was a $50,000 debt. We couldn’t really tackle it before for many years. We were sometimes paying twice as much monthly but the interest was compounding. We never saw it coming down. Cambridge helped me, and my wife and I have more confidence now and we live more relaxed. We still have debts and trouble sometimes with some utility bill, but getting used to paying every month helps us now to manage better all our debts and tackle them using the same pay pattern that we had.

I needed help paying my bills, getting it all done and keeping it on time. I was getting behind and I was overwhelmed. I had looked in town and couldn't find anybody locally, so I Googled it and Cambridge came up. They sounded really nice on the phone. They had a list of all my bills that I owed and they worked with the companies to get the interest rate down. And then, they told me how much each one would be paid each month and the total amount. I signed over something so that they would take that amount of money out of my checking account each month and then they used that to pay off the bills. So, I didn't have to worry about keeping up with which one was due.
I gave them the money and they paid the bills. I kept getting bills from the places as long as they were not completely paid off, but Cambridge kept them current and let me know when things were finished. I paid off about $26,000 worth of bills. What I didn't realize was how being with any consumer credit company was going to affect my credit rating. But part of my problem was it was too easy for me to get credit and to start owing more than I could really pay. Working with Cambridge kept me from doing that, and hopefully now that I've finished with it, it'll help. They were very good and I'm glad I did it.

We used Cambridge once before and we were also recommended to use them from our tax accountant. Life happened and we had an issue with our house. We had two house payments in five years so things got a little crazy. My husband enrolled the first time and he took care of it. The second time, I enrolled and the decrease in aggravation was worth the dollar amount that I paid for the service fees. I've recommended them to friends too.

I was very happy with Cambridge. When I enrolled, the guy I talked to was very informative and he gave me all the information I needed to know. Plus, my son had hooked up with them years early when he was having credit card problems, so he had already coached me on what was going to happen. Cambridge was able to call the credit card companies and get down the interest rates on them, and I was able to pay everything off. It cost me $50 a month and it was worth it. I didn’t have to file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. The only thing is every once in a while, they’d have a promotional thing to give away stuff, and it was kind of wasn’t up to snuff with me because I could never get in the program. I don’t have a computer and all I have is my phone, so it was kind of difficult. But otherwise, they did a nice job and I would recommend them to someone else.

I went into a consolidated debt repay program with Cambridge where they were able to reduce the interest on my credit cards. I provided payment to them and then they paid my credit card bills. In the beginning, there was a lot of interactions. I was concerned about the large payment because I had lost my job, but after I became employed, I didn’t have much contact with them other than I kept wondering when it was going to be over. I would call them and they'd be really good about calling me back and letting me know how much more I had to pay off and how the pay off date looked like.
The counselor was personable, friendly and understanding. We worked through email and they would reply back quickly. Also, their customer support is better than a lot of places these days. I like the fact that everybody that I talked to spoke English, and I got a person, not a computer. I felt very comfortable with them, and the fact that they were able to help me get my debt down within five years was worth the small cost that I had to pay. A few friends had financial difficulties as well, so with my experience and how well everything went for me, I recommended Cambridge to them.

And then they contacted the creditors and set up a plan and got back to me relatively quickly and we moved on. It went very well and we've completed the program. I had so many credit cards open due to trying to get through college, being a mom and teaching. Having seven different payments on seven different days of the month was difficult. Being able to do one payment and then take care of the debt was really helpful. Cambridge worked with me on what was going to be best for me monthly and what they thought was going to help. Then I was able to add on to help decrease the debt faster so they were really flexible. The communication was always open too. I had contact with my counselor every few months just to check in and I did the statement every month to see if I had any questions.
Last month was my last payment and I've received a certification of completion. I also got a monthly statement of payments made since day one until the end of the program. Now, I don't have money coming out every month and it's savings now. I'm appreciative of the help and the guidance from Cambridge and I'm proud of the progress I've made.

I went with Cambridge Credit Counseling for the consolidation of my bills. I was looking at your rating online and I saw you had a good rating. When I called, I was connected to a counseling person. The ease of having just one payment worked for me. Although the automatic deduction was rough for four years having that tie. But knowing that I have a goal, I was just counting like how many more months I have left. December was the final payment and I only had like $200 left at that time. The enrollment was easy and straightforward. I text all my information and then if I had any concerns, like one time I said, “I am still short. I need a few days,” and they were helpful with that process. I may have asked a couple times if they could wait a couple days before doing this up and it was easy to talk to anybody. They were helpful.
The cost was 50$ a month, and they were able to lower down the interest which is a big thing for me. It was affordable compared to the higher interest that I will probably not be able to pay within that time frame. It was a relief that I was able to complete the program. I was just thinking I have like a second mortgage. I’m sending somebody in college, so that would be definitely helpful that I don’t have to think about with those high-interest debts. The application was easy and they were able to negotiate with the taxes to significantly decrease the interest. We have no problems or issues, and I would recommend them if somebody asks me.

And then my other son has Prinzmetal syndrome, and he’s still struggling. With all of that, I used my credit card to the limit. The Cambridge rep Philip was very helpful and kind. If somebody is helping you to do something, you hope they’ll cooperate with you, and he did that. Also, the cost was real cheap. I had $10,000 worth of debt and now I don’t have any. It's really saved my sanity. I would recommend them to anyone.

Shirley, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We were in a credit card consolidation program with Cambridge. When I was enrolling, I gave them all the information and all we had found about the credit cards and balances and account numbers. It was a simple process. The cost was very reasonable, too. The counselor I worked with was very good. He explained everything very well, and there weren’t any hitches. He got all information from what we owed, and came back and told us what our monthly payment would be and that they would draft it out of my account every month of the same day. It was smooth. With Cambridge's program, my debt is gone. We just got it paid off about a month ago. And it resulted in a lot less stress. I would definitely recommend Cambridge to anyone who is in the same situation we were in.

I preferred Cambridge over other companies for the experience of the personnel and the ability to get the payments to quite a substantial difference as far as what the percentage rates were in the program compared to paying them off individually. They were able to negotiate down on the it quite a bit and once agreed upon, they averaged out of the payments so it was manageable for us as far as on a monthly basis. We did a consolidated program for five years with monthly installments. There was a lot of email messages, but not too much one-on-one conversations as far as any updates throughout the length of the program. Still, there were email verifications as we reached certain pinnacles within the program so they stayed in touch.
There was a minimal fee that they charge for themselves and overall, it was a good experience. I would recommend it to anybody who would be in a similar situation. Call in and see what could be adapted to your needs. They take an overview assessment of everything that you have and that’s really the biggest part of the program, either you’re all in or you’re not. It may not be right for everybody but, for me, it was what I needed. What I took out of it was my ability to pay the debt off myself as compared to them getting it negotiated down and having a five-year plan instead of me trying to stretch it out to 10 or 15 years. That was the biggest sell point. You just have to hunker down for five years and get it paid off.

Cambridge offers a lot of helpful services and they certainly have a good website and people who are willing to help. When we were enrolling, they needed the specifics of our account. And as to what the balances and terms were, once all those stuff was handed over, they were able to negotiate specific rates and followed back up with me to show me where they would be, what the payment plan would be, and set up a budget so that I knew where I would be at each month, and from there, it was to start to make the monthly payments.
Being in the program allowed us to allocate money to other opportunities. And in the long run, Cambridge was able to save me a large percentage of my amount of debt I had in interest, so I didn’t have a problem paying them for the service monthly. I just made my last payment in December, so I’m credit card debt free, and it was fast. I have recommended Cambridge. People just need to be open and honest with them and tell them what’s going on and where they need to be at, and let them do what they do. And as long as people are willing to make the adjustments and not continue to get themselves into debt while paying off their debt, the program will work.

I opened the account with Cambridge seven years ago and at that time, I was a young kid. Cambridge seemed pretty good in what they told me. They said that through credit card consolidation, they'd be able to close out the card, make sure interest wasn't going in and get me a monthly payment that I could afford. I filled out some paperwork and then they sent me some disclosures for me to read. And then, I sent it back in. They reached out to the card company, negotiated on my behalf and let me know what the deal going to be made was, and I agreed to it. And then, we ascertained on everything.
There weren't too many interactions beside the initial ones but any time that I had to communicate, it was a pain-in-the-neck process. I would have to call them and get some type of number that I didn't even know. Then I just update my direct deposit for which account I want them to take it out of. But they were very nice, friendly and informative. They disclosed everything upfront except they said that I would be paying some one-time fee. But after a year, I realized that it was a recurring fee every month. But I didn't mind it because it was very convenient to me so I didn't have to worry about anything.
I could do the monthly payment and the program helped out at that time. Over time, it was definitely something that I could have done on my own and I would have probably been in the same exact situation. But if anybody is in need of some help or trying to get your financial ties settled, this is the company you should reach out to. They have a great network of people who can help you get on the right path.

I called Cambridge and talked to somebody on the phone, and I told him what my bills were. I sent everything in to them and they called me back within three days, had me with a plan and it met what I could afford. They contacted my creditors and worked out how much, and they called me back and said what it was going to be. I told them that I would like to have one payment and have it at a certain time of the month. There was a couple of my creditors that said my payment was due on the 10th of the month and I couldn't do that since payments came out around the 15th. Cambridge sent me the paperwork to sign so that I would never get any late bills. They set it up so that my payments could be due at the 15th instead of the 8th or the 10th of the month.
I started paying Cambridge and it took about two years to pay off. But I never received any more communications from any of the people that I had bills with. They took care of all that. A couple of times, I called them and they always got back to me in a reasonable length of time. The government was shut down and we were furlough for 16 days in 2013. We didn’t get paid and our pay was not retroactive. So, there were two pay periods that I didn’t get a check. Once I got behind, I knew I was in trouble. I had to really dip into my savings which went to nothing. It was the right timing when I received something in the mail which said, “If you want to reduce your debt, sign up for this program.” which was what I did because I was afraid that my credit would go right in the toilet. It was from iPayDebt which transferred over the years to Cambridge. I happened to have transferred from one military base to another in California, so I was familiar with the area where the company resided. I contacted them and they asked me what kind of bills I have and what my minimum monthly payment was. They put it in the computer and then told me the amount that I would have to pay every pay period.
At that time, even when I was still enrolled, I ended up transferring from one military base to another from Utah to Colorado. When they did the credit check, they looked into that and they were like, “Uh-oh. She’s entered into a debt reduction program. Why? What is that about?” So, I had to explain what that was about which they understood. When they found out that I was being proactive, not trying to become in arrears with my creditors but trying to pay them off, and not charge anything more against those accounts and reduce it, my credit went through so quickly and so easily.
There were six different companies that I entered into the program. In contention with me, they contacted my creditors and asked if they would be willing to enter into this program where they would pay a particular amount of money to reduce my debt. They added up all the minimum amounts for each month and then I called Cambridge to make sure that it happened on a certain date every month. So, we went on that program and I had money allocated out of my check every two weeks once it began. It was applied directly to particular creditors which brought my credit down and paid them off.
When the last payment was due, they called and said, “I just want to let you know that the full amount is not going to be deducted because you’re done basically. It’s going to be half the normal amount that we deduct.” And they asked me, “Is there anything else we can do for you? Do you want to enroll maybe with some other debt that you have? Or do you know anybody else that would be interested in the program?” They were always one-on-one with me. And when I finished up my plan with Cambridge, they sent me a diploma. It really was an accomplishment. And if it wasn’t for them, I don’t know how long it would have taken me to be debt free. It’s a really great program which gave me a good feeling.
I also focused on my financial planning as they set me up with the U.S. Education Plan to make sure that I was able to stay on top of my bills and balance each account, so that I knew how much was coming out every pay period and how many years or months it was going to take me to reduce my debt to zero. But the most impressive part was that they stayed in touch with me. They contacted me once every six months to see how I was doing and how the program was working for me. They made me feel comfortable, knowing that my debt was going down. And if I had any questions, I was free to call them any time. They also gave me a newsletter which showed snapshot of where I was in the process which I really liked.

We had a lot of credit card debt and couldn't seem to get ourselves out from under it by ourselves. At the time, my sister and brother-in-law had used Cambridge and they had been involved with them for a couple of years. We talked to an adviser, told him what was going on and what the debts were. From there, they gave us a list of what we had told them. Then, they negotiated some lower interest rates and set up the payment plan, all the while going back and forth and checking with us to see that it was accurate. We didn't need to do anything drastic like bankruptcy. It was just a matter of being disciplined, and Cambridge helped with that.
There was a couple of times where I had to switch from the first date that I had and I needed to postpone it a couple of days, and Cambridge was easy to work with. Everyone seemed to be very helpful. They continued sending monthly online statements, and they would also send information on budgeting purposes and tips. Anything that I wanted to try to help myself continue was all provided to me online. We came up with a five-year plan and there was a $50 processing fee each month to them, which seemed reasonable. Working with Cambridge has definitely made us more aware of trying to budget more. We have a lot of medical bills, so even though it was hard, we were able to finish within four and a half years rather than the full five years. Every month that we paid was a big chunk of change, but it certainly put us in a better financial place than what we were almost five years ago and that's what we wanted and needed.

That was a confirmation that we had everything lined up. And then, they set me up on a payment program where I had monthly payments deducted from a banking account. They were able to negotiate with my credit card companies to reduce my interest rate and consolidate the debt to where I could handle the payment and get it under control. They made me feel very comfortable and the cost was very reasonable too. I have wanted a little bit more involvement but it was a very good experience. I have recommended Cambridge to a few friends and I would tell others to reach out and give them a try.

I had four credit cards I was paying on every month, and it was easier to make one payment instead of four separate payments through Cambridge Credit Counseling. Enrolling was an easy process, and this was three or four years ago and I am already done. I called the company and they got me signed right up immediately. The credit counselors were wonderful and they were easy to work with, polite and they answered questions. They had a system where they set up so I would pay one payment every month and they would pay a certain amount of money from that payment to my credit card companies.
It was affordable and definitely worth doing it. They also provided a lot of counseling and budgeting, where they gave tools and budget plans to help me. Since then, I have a budget whereas in the past I did not really pay attention to having one. It was an excellent experience. They can help a lot of people get out of debt and help a lot of people in multiple ways.

I could not pay my bills so I went to Cambridge Credit Counseling four years ago. They talked to my creditors and lowered the interest rate on everything. They also set up a monthly payment plan. I'm not in as much debt anymore, and I've gone from $37,000 to $5,000. The counselors were all very nice and professional. The cost could have been a little less, but they provided a good service.

I had too many credit cards and making those small payments was not making any headway on anything. I looked at several companies and Cambridge came out to be the best for me. They understood that things happen and didn’t make me feel like I didn’t want to pay my debt. I was on the phone for about half an hour with them, discussing what was going on. They explained to me the program and their way of working. We went through everything and I submitted all my paperwork to them. They came back, gave me a proposal, told me how it was going to be, how long it was going to take, and how the payments were going to be taken care of.
We went through a lot of my bills, what I had to pay, what expenses I had, what money I had coming in and they worked with that. So, the payment that they gave me was very reasonable for me to complete my plan in three years. I was surprised the price was so little, because I looked into bankruptcy which was a lot more money and work. However, there was a month that I was not able to pay at that time and I called them up right away. I had to give them a little notice before the payment goes in because it’s direct withdrawal. They made arrangements and worked with my schedule.
But what impressed me the most was that the counselor was very honest and didn't try to sell me something that I couldn't go into. They covered everything and now, I'm done with the program. They kept me on budget and taught me not to go into debt. I learned to stay away from things that I didn’t need. It’s a great service. If anybody finds themselves in that situation, they should take a chance and talk to Cambridge to see what they can do for them. They'd be happy at the end.

It was really easy enrolling with Cambridge. They asked me what the credit cards were and they pretty much took it from there and they sent me paperwork to sign. I worked with one rep at the very beginning. They took into consideration my house and car payments and I sent them money every month. They spread it out amongst the creditors and got the interest rates lowered. They would then send me an update every month. I would get an email with my statement that showed what was paid out from what I had paid them.
There were options for me to do if I needed to but Cambridge was working well and there was no reason in my mind to get on the phone with somebody. I was very comfortable working with them because I didn’t feel the need to talk to them and everything perked right along and it worked out really well for me. They did what they said they were going to do and were very helpful. I finished with their program and I'm very pleased. Now, I have 803 credits. I've recommended Cambridge to several people too. If you have credit card issues, they're the place to go.

Cambridge Credit Counseling's service is great. I was trying to get out of debt and bring my payments down, and their enrollment worked out fine. I contacted them, they called back, and we went through the deal. I told them that I want to take them completely out of my checking account, that I don't want to bother with payments. They wanted to know how much I could afford to pay on them, and I gave them a ballpark figure, so they went from there. It was all fine and good. I finally got my last statement in December and it said it was all paid off after the December payment, which I thought I had another couple years to go. So, I was delighted. They were honest, upfront and helpful in every way, and they communicated greatly too. The cost was fair for the quality they give. They also said if I ever have any more difficulties, I would have to get a hold of them, of which I would. They made it a lot easier, to put it point-blank.

Cambridge's program got me out of debt when I had too many credit cards and I couldn’t keep them under control. Cambridge has a good rating and their enrollment process was easy. I got enrolled both through online and on the phone. I was impressed with counselor's knowledge and he was able to help me with anything. I got a straight answer every time I called for a question. If he didn't know then he'd find out and call me back. Also, I was told how much the fees would be and how much I would need to pay a month. In the end, my debt got paid off and that took a lot of worries off my mind. It was simple and I was very satisfied.

Congratulations on completing our program, Phyllis! We pride ourselves on helping our clients find a simple, safe way out of debt. During the initial set-up onto our program, our counselors go into detail concerning monthly payments and interest rate reductions so that people can see just how much they'll save on our program. We also think it's important to provide our clients with financial education whenever we can, so we're thrilled to hear that your experience with your counselor was smooth and informative. We had a lot of credit card debt and we were just barely making the minimum payments so we wanted to consolidate it and get rid of our debt quicker. My brother had gone with Cambridge and he said it was fairly easy. We talked to one of the representatives and I sent him a list of the credit cards we had with the payments we've been making and the balances on the cards. He worked it up on how much it would be and dealt with the credit card companies and sent us paperwork to sign on the internet. It went pretty smoothly.
They set up the initial payment plan and sometimes they set it up as an automatic withdrawal from our checking accounts. Sometimes I called in and changed our withdrawal date by a couple of days like if it was right before a payday or if I knew there wasn’t going to be enough money in there. I was comfortable working with them and anytime I talked to anybody, they were always very nice and helpful. They always seemed knowledgeable about the questions that I had, they explained things and walked me through the debts.
They also always let me know that it was possible the payments could be made late since I was making a payment late, but it never seemed to affect anything. I was satisfied with their service and I got rid of a lot of our debt. We made our last payment in December and completed the program. The original balance that we started with was $45,000. It was a lot and it was a relief to have a big weight taken care of in five years because it could have taken way longer. It could’ve probably taken us four times that long if we had tried to do it on our own.

Jennifer, congratulations on paying back you $45,000 debt! We know it can be stressful when the minimum payments don't let you chip away at the debt, and the high interest rates can even be adding to the debt. We're glad that you decided to reach out to us for help. Thank you very much for taking the time to review our services.

Credit cards won’t ever lower their interest rate and we needed some help. We were in Columbus, Ohio and we watch Channel 10 News. They did a story on Cambridge and since we trusted our Channel 10 News, I thought that Cambridge has got to be good because Channel 10 wouldn’t report bad stuff. Cambridge gave us the help that we needed. We paid some things off and Cambridge is getting closer to a couple more. It makes me feel better that they’re willing to work with these credit card companies. These companies know that Cambridge knows debt consolidation stuff and I don’t. Cambridge called them and they did really good. The cost has been good for us. Now that we’re far down the road, I know we’re still buried but it might be up to my ankles now and not over my head so that’s good. I have recommended them.

Someone had Cambridge and mentioned them all to me. I used the company once years ago and I availed of their services again. They consolidated my credits card debts and they helped me to go on and pay my debts off at a lower interest. At the beginning, they told me my expected pay-off date with everything. I called to see when I thought that it was close to the time to being paid off. I also talked to them a couple of times about some questions that I had. I’m done with the program and I feel good.
I had a wonderful experience with Cambridge the first time I used them but it wasn't quite a good one during my second experience because I was told one day that I was supposed to be paid off then they changed the date again. They changed my date three times. They have to make sure that they’re giving the correct information out because once you have a date in your head thinking that you’re going to be paid off and then when you call and they changed the date, it’s kind of discouraging.

A friend who did Cambridge recommended them. They got my payment down and closed the account. I finished everything in November and it was a huge relief considering I had $60,000 in debt. Now I'm only at $20,000, and I’m pretty happy. My counselor had all the right answers and he was able to get me the monthly payment that I needed. The quality of service that I received from Cambridge was excellent. I loved my experience with them and I’d recommend them to anybody.

I enrolled with Cambridge when everything was getting out of control. Cambridge had the best rating among credit counseling companies and their program was a big relief for me. I had to get all the information together and I called all the places that I had accounts with, and then sent that in. They're very thorough and that's what I like, too. I always had a great interaction with the counselor. He was very professional and I was impressed with his knowledge. He was also always willing to get back to me and he did when he said he would. Then we set up a date for payments that would be best for me and set up a base account in order for them to take it from. Everything went freely and it was great. Also, the cost is very inexpensive.
Working with Cambridge has freed up a lot of stress and it has helped me a lot. So, for anyone who is going through something like that, Cambridge is the best place to go to especially when you want to get something taken care of that you know would help you in the long run instead of doing it yourself. Cambridge takes care of so much for you to get you started. Otherwise, it would have been very stressful.

Cambridge Credit helped me lower my debt and get my bills paid off. My son recommended them. I contacted them on the phone to enroll. They e-mailed me some stuff, and we went over and reviewed it and we got started. The Cambridge counselors have been really good. They were quick and easy to deal with, upfront with everything, and honest about it, which was great.
Their service was excellent. I really appreciated what they did for me. I monitored them, too, by checking my statements every month and then from those creditors, and if I got my balance down to less than $100 or whatever on a certain account, I’d pay off that account, call them, and tell them, “Look, I paid that off. Now switch this money. You’re gonna go to this one, to this account. Pay that one off.” And we got it done three months faster than scheduled by doing that. It worked out good. I’d recommend Cambridge to anybody.

The interest go up so bad on my credit card that I couldn't pay the payments. Since I had just inherited two grandchildren, I was trying to raise them and it was hard. I called Cambridge up and they just helped me get it set up. They rolled up the interest and lowered my monthly payments significantly into one monthly payment. And it really helped me out a lot, where I could pay all my bills. It was really a wonderful thing. They were really fair, nice and helpful to get me through this whole ordeal. They sent me letters regularly and let me know where I was at. I would tell others that Cambridge is a good solution if they got credit problems. They're honest and would stick to their word. They’re a good company to go with and I really enjoyed my experience with them.

I have seen debt solution type of companies and I didn’t know one thing about it. In the search thing, Cambridge was the fairest when it comes to pricing. Pricing was a big thing and I liked their CEO’s little candle message too so I went with them. I was with their debt consolidation program where they talk to my lenders and I pay a monthly amount, and they distributed that amount to my lenders. I’m now done with that program. They paid off so much and because of that I was able to save and with that savings, I hit off all the other stuff that I was in debt too. Otherwise, I would not be able to do that. It was a five and a half years plan and I completed it in four. I've never felt so much happier these days.
Their cost was absolutely the best. They'd tell you, “Hey, we’re going to reduce it.” And they do. I'd check it with the creditors and the lenders and they really take care of it. So I feel like the cost is great. I know I paid some money, but I know I didn’t pay more than I had to. In the end, I know someone has to get paid and I’m totally fine with that. But I don’t want to be taken advantage of in the situation that I’m in. Overall, their communication was great. I didn’t feel like I was being held up by a credit card company. The guy who I worked with at East Coast was like, “What do you want? When do you want to get out of this? Okay, I’m going to take you this quote.” Boom! Done. That was so straightforward. I'm much more stress-free than I was before.

I was so overwhelmed and I didn’t know what to do, but she was comfortable to talk to. They were very professional, courteous and understanding. It was almost like a friendly situation. I gave them all the information that they needed. They took my bills that I told them to take and they lowered the interest rates, then I paid every month. Anytime that I called, they were right there. It’s paid off and it was a really good program for me. I don’t regret paying the $35 a month. And this has taught me not to spend what I don’t have and to seek the best buy.

I didn't know how in the world I was going to get rid of the bills that I had so Cambridge's service was recommended. I called them and found out how to do it. Everything was taken cared off from day one. They set it up and said that I would have to pay a certain amount to a certain number. They would take it out of my paycheck once a month. I had left a couple of bills that I've always been paying my half to do one, and do the other half with them. I dealt with them for a few years and was very pleased. They said everything was done and that I was paid. Now, I have been able to do a little bit of savings for myself. I buy what I need and once a month, I buy something for myself. But I don't plan on making any new bills because getting out of it was a big blessing for me. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend Cambridge to someone.
