    We had an issue with gambling with one member in our family, and we had some credit card debts. I went to Cambridge, and it was the best decision. I looked at all the reviews and at some consumer things, and they had a triple-A rating. I asked some questions and they answered them, and they communicated very well. They called back in a timely fashion if I had left a message. They did an extensive interview during the enrollment process. We did it over the phone and we went through the accounts that were of concern. They checked on their own to verify everything. The process was quick, streamlined and convenient.

    They made sure all the stuff from the creditors versus the information we gave matched. They contacted us back, told us they'd work out a plan, which they did. They contacted us again, went over the plan and what it entailed, what it would cost, how much per month, how many months, how many payments, and when we could expect to be done if we kept our part of the bargain, which we did. The reps were wonderful. After taking a financial hit through the gambling from a family member, having the credit cards seemed too high. The one good thing we had in our favor was that they were all getting paid on time, but it was taking a real toll on our end worrying.

    Going through Cambridge was the last resort. We wanted to pay what we owed and get some control because we understood that if they got involved, the interest rate would get frozen almost and drop to a lower thing with our promise to keep up with the payments every single month. We paid one entity, and then they dispersed all the money. The cost was reasonable. But I hope I would never have to do it again. I've been very down about it and very worried, but they were encouraging. The fee was small compared to what we were dealing with. They were able to get everything straightened out, they contacted everybody on our behalf and worked out something that was agreeable to both parties, the creditor and us.

    I'm looking at this five years later. I remember one of them running over the TV program and saying, "At this point in time, you'll be debt-free.” And here we are at that time, debt-free. I was very pleased. I would highly recommend Cambridge to anybody that would be unfortunate enough to get in a credit card debt. It worked so well for us.

    My daughter had used Cambridge in the past and so I also went with them. The enrollment process was easy. The service has also been great but yesterday, I was trying to call because I know I have a refund coming, and I couldn’t get through to an agent by their telephone system. It was very frustrating. I finally gave up and hung up. Other than that, the cost of the service was good and the payments were easily set up by Cambridge. I was able to get a new furnace and I'm also debt free now because of the program. Overall, my experience with Cambridge was very positive.

    I had gotten into some credit card debt and somebody was talking about Cambridge on the radio. So I reached out to Cambridge and it sounded like they could help. When I first started with them, they got everything set up. And once everything was set up, it was pretty automatic. I communicated with their reps when I had to reschedule a couple of payments and it was really easy. They were always pleasant to talk to and very helpful. They were easy to work with, to get into their system, and to get in touch with people there. Everything that they said happened, and I was able to pay off all my credit cards so much faster and I was freed financially. They were super friendly and every experience that I had with them was positive.

    I was with Cambridge for about five years and my last payment was in September. I’m out of credit card debt now and that’s a life-changing thing. It’s something I don’t have the burden of anymore. The fact that I was able to do it through Cambridge, not only saved me a lot of time but a lot of money.     I was at a point where I couldn’t keep up with the credit card payments. I reached out through my employer and I was recommended by them to Cambridge. I spoke to a guy named George, and I like him. He was very personable and he explained everything in a way that I could understand what was gonna happen. He was also patient with my questions. I also like what Cambridge has offered so I went with them. The enrollment process was easy. I just had to identify the cards and provide the last statement. I also paid off the lowest balances first, so that helped my credit faster than if I just started with the highest one. The payments were automatically taken from my account every month and the cost was reasonable. It was $15 a month.

    Cambridge lowered most of the credit cards’ interest rates. We also lowered the payment for a couple of months, and they figured all that out with the different credit cards. And then whenever I called, they were always quick to find an answer about what my balance was. Also, once the program has been set up, I didn’t really have to think about it, except for having the money in my account on the right day. I eventually got divorced, and so having the program already set up really simplified the divorce. The whole process worked perfectly. I used to have $180,000 in credit card debt but now, my credit is way up in the 700's again.

    I had an experience in the past that my money was taken and ended without proper use. After my research, I decided that Cambridge was a good program for me to get into. They provided me with debt consolidation services where I could make payment with no pressure of having to pay too much out of pocket.     I had two credit cards and the interest rates were really high. Cambridge said they could help me pay the cards off and that was what they did. The counselors were very nice people and they were very knowledgeable. I had no problem getting in contact with them. They told me every month when they would send in the payment and how much they sent in. The payment plan wasn't difficult and it took me about two years to pay them off because they were really up there. I just got a letter from them saying that everything was completed and I got statements from the two credit card companies that it was $0 that I owe.     I was really in debt at that time and I needed help, so I called Cambridge Credit Counseling. The person who talked to me on the phone was really reassuring, so I went with them. Cambridge gave me a timeline and they even gave me a year when I would be finished. I gave them all my information and they took care of the rest. The payment ended up being a smaller amount than what I was paying each month if I were to be paying my debts individually. The credit counselor that I worked with was really nice.     I knew for a fact that I wouldn’t be able to pay off my two cards on my own. So I called Cambridge and they've helped me out well. The person that I got was good, and the enrollment was simple and easy. I just gave them my information and 1-2-3, it was up and running. So far, it’s going okay.     I've dealt with Cambridge Credit Counseling before and I felt comfortable with them so I used them again. I had an issue when I first tried to make contact with them again. I had someone that I didn’t particularly care for that took the call initially. So I called back a couple of minutes later and spoke to someone else. The guy was able to accommodate me, consolidate everything, and get everything rolling. He just got right to the business and that was what I wanted to do. I just faxed over the information, and we went from there.

    I had a lot of debt and I was on their program for about four and a half years. I paid $196 a month and it worked okay. The first time I went through them, my payment was a little higher. Their customer support was good. As long as they have my email, they kept me abreast of what was going on, what payment came off first, or what was finished paying for first. They just emailed me and let me know. Cambridge was very good and I've recommended them to other people.

    I saw Cambridge Credit in the phonebook and I took the chance with them because I've talked to other people and I wasn't getting anywhere. Nobody could tell me anything and the bank would just charge me a whole lot more interest in getting my credit cards off. We did everything over the phone when we enrolled with Cambridge, and it went really well. If I had any questions, I would call and ask Steve, and he would explain it to me. If I couldn’t get a hold of him, then I would talk to somebody else, and they helped me out too. I went through their program for four years and I've paid off over $10,000 of credit card debt. I'm really happy with that. I’ve talked to other people about Cambridge, and they thought that the amount I was paying was pretty high. But that’s the way things work. You have to pay for services.     I had some extremely high credit card bills. Cambridge considered everything that I had and they worked out a financial plan for me that I could afford. The program worked really well and that helped me to pay off my bills. I was able to complete the program. However, I had difficulty towards the end when the bills were hitting pretty low and I had to adjust the payment. Also, there were times when I had trouble getting the correct amount paid and I called in and told them the actual price. We had miscommunication and things didn’t get done exactly right.

    I ended up overpaying on one account and then when I was scheduled to make the last payment, I had the amount worked out and had that all set up. They transferred me to someone else to stop my electronic funds transfer, which should have been stopped after the last month’s payment, but they ended up stopping it too soon. So I had to do last month’s payment and deal with all that problem. Nevertheless, Cambridge made things a lot more convenient and I was very well-satisfied with the quality of their service.

    I had cancer and there was a lot of things going on in my life at that particular moment so I thought I needed help. I went online and started looking at different places that would help me.     Cambridge paid my bill. They had a monthly fee that was tacked on, they cut down the interest rate and I just paid it every month on automatic withdrawal. The payment plan was doable. But at first, I thought the fee I had to pay was a lot and trying to pay off a bill and having to pay in addition to that seems counterintuitive to me. But then it was fine and they did their job.     When I first talked to Cambridge, they were never condescending. They said that if one of the creditors called me, I should try to pay it and then they would deduct it from what went through them. Sure enough, there were two companies that I had to pay one month, and then I received information from Cambridge reflecting that it had been paid. It blended in so well that I didn’t even see it as a cost. They were doing the dirty work and taking care of my bills for me. I didn’t have to worry. I just sat back knowing that everything was taken care of. Everything was smooth sailing.     At one time, I had a debt of $15,000. I got a call from one of Cambridge's representatives asking me if I have credit card problems. I asked her what we would do to help me out of the jam. She put me on a payment plan of 8 to 10 years thereafter paying $400 a month. Usually, when I pay off a bill, Cambridge sends me a contract stating I have paid. Cambridge also sent me a letter stating that creditors had overcharged me. The letter also stated that I needed to call Capital One, tell them that I overpaid $25 one time and $75 another time and that they owed me a refund. However, I'm still getting letters from creditors that I still owe $5 or $25. Still, I had a great experience with the company as I didn't notice payments were automatically deducted from my account. They treated me well and got me out of debt. Now, I'm back standing on my own two feet.

    I tried with another debt relief company but they weren't accepting any clients. I went to Cambridge and their enrollment process was pretty standard. I did everything online and talked to someone in the Agawam office. At first, I called up, said I wanted to pay my debt off, and I needed a quote. I got a callback from somebody telling me over the phone what I was gonna pay and I told them that that was not how we were gonna do it. I told them I wanted corroborating evidence of what the payoff was gonna be and they sent me something. In the payment plan they gave me, I paid $30 a month. I was in the program for two years and now the bills are paid.

    But it turned out that the payoff they told me was not what the true payoff was because I got a check back for $33.90 from Bank of America and now they’re telling me I owe them $3.04. I have no intention of paying it and if I have to, I will be over to the office in Agawam and Cambridge is gonna give me me back $3.04. Also, I have a very small credit balance on one of the other cards, so I was not even sure if they went through the credit card companies to obtain the balances. Cambridge should make sure they know what they're doing when they calculate the payoff balance. And they shouldn't call someone on the phone and tell them what their payoff is without giving them something to back up what they're saying. I had to ask to have something sent to me via either email or mail.

    As an undergraduate, I racked up a lot of credit card debts. So, I was seeking for something to help me as I graduated from college to start balancing my financial life together. I had a colleague who had used Cambridge and she recommended it. The enrollment was super easy. The agent had me list all of the stuff I needed to be covered and he walked me through the process. Once everything got done, it was a peace of mind for me.

    The program worked because I just did one easy payment. I had more than eight accounts and it helped me organized all of it. Also, the financial information that was sent helped. When I would wonder about certain things, I would just look up what Cambridge had sent and I would use that. And I would call the counselor when I had updates to my account and it was quick and easy. I didn't have to go through too much information. I would let him know what account I paid and how much. I completed the program six months early and it took three years and a half overall.

    In the beginning, I thought how much it cost for the debt consolidation was a lot but as I started paying it, I realized how much I was paying per month and the interest. After I added all that, it wasn't a lot. The interest of what I would be paying afterward would have been way higher than the month-to-month payments. Also, it was an overall easy process and it was very helpful. If you're stressed out with your debts, Cambridge is a company that can combine all of your accounts together and make it easy for you. I have some friends that have gone through Cambridge since I have gone through the program.

    I had been looking for a company that would do consolidation and had gone to another company. I had a conversation with them, started to sign up and started getting some negative information. So, I continued my search, which put me in a better position when I talked to the next one. And so, when I got to Cambridge and asked them questions, I felt like they were the ones that could help me get through my debt issue. The enrollment process was very easy. I had already gathered everything together so when I was told what I needed, I already had them.

    They told me they had to go to the creditors and negotiate for a payment. And once that was done, we talked about how much I could afford to pay. There was a worksheet that I could look at as to what my expenses were, what my receivables were and come up with something that would be comfortable that would allow me to live. After we went through that, they went back to negotiating with the creditors. And once that was done, they told me exactly what my monthly payment would be and how long I would be in the program.

    Whenever I called for some questions, I was able to speak to someone quickly. They answered my questions and I just moved on. I received correspondence, a kind of acknowledgement along the way that said, "If you need anything, let us know," or "How's it going? Did you wanna make any changes? How are you doing with your budget?" So, they were checking in. They were very informative to let me know where I was. I'm finished with the program. As we finished, they sent me notifications that say, "Your last payments are made. Keep a lookout for a letter from your creditors,” and also offered to assist in any way if there was anything else I needed before they closed the account.     My ex-husband and I wanted to get rid of our debt and that was why we enrolled with Cambridge. Our aunt had used them before and she said that it got rid of all the creditors and all her debts, and that it helped her in the long run. A caller asked us information about our creditors and our debts. Then they tried to figured out a way we could get rid of our debt completely. They said we needed to escalate and we had to be strong, not to try to use the card and close all the accounts. It was affecting our credit in the long run but at least we were getting rid of the debt and we could start over.

    They were really helpful too. Normally, creditors will call and bark at you all the time to make you pay. But the people at Cambridge told me that I wouldn't have to worry about the creditors and that they would deal with them directly.     I moved my mobile home and bought land. I got behind on quite a few of my bills and the only solution I had at the time was to combine everything down into one payment so that I could catch up. I had used Cambridge once before, so I went with them again. They provided consolidation service at $50 a month for the fee. Whenever I had an issue that came up when I was discussing what I needed to do or if there were something that I didn’t think the merchandiser was doing correctly, I would call and ask the Cambridge reps. Some of the merchandisers weren’t getting it cleared off of my credit report like they should have and Cambridge would always step in and fix it for me.

    Cambridge was very helpful and they got my bills paid off, which was all I was concerned with. They handled everything and got it taken care of. If there were any issues, they would step in and help me resolve them. They were able to do away with some of the overage and late fees. They handled getting it set up through each one of my retailers so that I didn’t have to deal with all of that.     I racked up some credit card debt and I was looking to get it down so I could start saving for a house. I heard of Cambridge through my job at The Gap. They had a sign up for those who needed help with debt. The rep went over each of my credit cards that we were gonna be putting onto the account. They reached out to the credit card companies, got them with 0% interest and gave me a roundabout. It would take four and a half years to pay it off completely with the amount that they were gonna take out every month.

    The payment plan that they set me up with was definitely something that was doable. I had to pay a $30 service charge to them every month and I was fine with paying it. It was worth every penny. The amount I had to pay monthly was still less than what I was paying every month for all the bills. I have now moved into an apartment complex because my credit was so much higher. I didn't have to stay at home with my parents anymore and was able to get other credit cards with lower interest. Now, I don't spend more than 30% of the card and I'm really just paying the full balance off by the end of the month.

    We were broke and our credit cards were piling up. We did a Google search and Cambridge was one of the highly recommended options. We learned about them there and we saw some of their overall experience. The enrolment process was swift and easy and the rep was very helpful and kind.     I had too much credit card debt at high interest rates. I was slightly losing control and I was trying to tame that. The idea of dealing with consolidation with the credit card being closed and getting paid off at a lower interest rate had high appeal. We had an employee assistance program at work and when I said I was interested in doing debt consolidation, they referred me to Cambridge. So far, it's been going well, especially after dropping the $1,200 monthly payment. When you're in the process, you don’t have additional credit to depend on and it's definitely a little more painful. But it needs to be, right? Then you'd get out of debt.

    With the Cambridge payment dropping off, we're gonna actually be able to buy a new car. We have an old car and I'm just waiting to build up enough money to have a down payment. Even then, I'm not completely using that money for down payment. There are still some credit cards but they're not out of control. The one thing that I was sad about was my credit rating falling. It took a little bit of a hit but it seemed like it was going up very slowly. That would be the only thing that was a little different than expected. But Cambridge did what they needed to do and it was done very well. It wasn’t perfect but it was as good as it could be.

    Customer service was always good too. I had my own tracking things so when something didn’t go right, I knew about it before they did. But when it came to the problems, things were typically resolved quickly. One of the creditors was a little difficult to deal with. I had to use my bank where I had a home equity line of credit. Even then, the creditor was difficult. They wanted to be in first position on the home equity line of credit. But the Cambridge people solved it so that was good. Overall, the Cambridge experience has been very positive and helpful.

    I called Cambridge and they were super friendly and helpful. I spoke to a guy when I first enrolled and he explained everything. I could do everything over the phone and it was super easy. They were able to email me the stuff and I could electronically sign it and didn’t have to even leave my office. I had several credit cards so Cambridge went in and talked to the companies to reduce my interest so I could pay it off. The program worked very well. They automatically took the payment out of my checking account every month and I didn’t have to worry about making sure I got the bills paid on time.     A radio station has a business finance type segment in their morning program. It was about credit card consolidation things on what to do and what not to do. I've always thought the expert who was talking was very fair and very honest. When he was asked for a suggestion, he suggested Cambridge. My husband talked me into hiring them. The enrollment process was very easy. I spoke with them on the phone and reviewed all the information with them. There were a lot of things that they wanted me to do such as doing a budget review and looking at some of the credit cards that I had and what some of the interest rates were.

    Financially I could afford paying my debts, but it was going in so many directions that I knew that I would miss one eventually so I decided to put everything together and make it a lot easier to make one payment. I looked at what Cambridge had to offer, not just that they could consolidate but they also gave financial literacy to help guide and support me on how to use my credit better and build it.

    There was some paperwork during the enrollment - some phone calls and little corresponding of what I needed to have taken care of. We correspond mostly through email and it was easy. They paid off my credit cards and I learned more responsibility when it came to having, earning, building and using credit. I've completed the program in three and a half years. Their reps gave me basic updates. Mostly, everything was paperless. I made my payments or I deposited them and they withdrew them. I got statements of my credit cards on a regular, so I kinda kept up with that as well and I knew that they were going down.

    If I saw that my payment was gonna be late by a couple of days, I can always call in a couple of weeks ahead of time and let them know to not pull the payment yet, which I thought was really good. They made sure I was staying on top of my monthly bills. It was a huge burden that they had taken off of me. It was a little pricey, but I think it was worth it considering the amount of service that I got. The customer service was very consistent. It was very solid and stable. I really like that I could pick up the phone any time and give them a call and just, “Hey, I just wanna get an update to see how things are going.” They weren’t always able to give me my end balance because I fluctuate at times, so I would have to wait for my monthly statements but they would let me know if there was any issues or when one would fall off like, “Okay, that one’s been paid off.” The payment was always consistent.

    When one got paid off, they would pay more on the other ones.The only thing I wasn’t clear on was when my credit cards were paid off, they were also closed. I was always under the impression that when one closes, it hurts your credit. In which case, they always told me that, “Yeah, when it got paid off, it was closed." It’s a good thing because I don’t need those credit cards and I’ve learned to delegate a lot better with that. Cambridge was a great learning experience and if I ever find myself in that predicament again, which I don’t foresee because I did learn a lot through it, I would definitely use Cambridge again.     I got a debt management program with Cambridge Credit Counseling services. The enrollment process seemed fairly easy two and a half years ago because if it would have been difficult, I would have backed out of it. They were the easiest to navigate and to get in touch with. I was able to pay off the credit cards that I needed to pay off. The interactions I had with their counselor were all very positive. They answered all of my questions and they helped calm any anxiety I had about going into debt management.

    When they worked on my payment plan, they took an inventory of my income and all of the costs that I needed to pay off. We talked about what was required in terms of getting paid off in the time that was allowed or what I needed to do. They let me know that I had options and I remember realizing that paying that amount in that amount of time would be to my advantage over not going into a debt management program because then I would still be paying almost the same credit cards for the next 20 years and still not having paid off. The counselor explained that to me and how it all worked and how I have reduced the interest rate.

    Working with Cambridge felt like 10 horses off my shoulder. It feels great to be out of debt and not to owe that much money.     I was tired of juggling my credit accounts and I wanted to get my debt under control. But I’m a big stickler about protecting my credit and also what companies were going to charge me to do it. I did research on a couple of companies and Cambridge had good ratings. With the way they went about things I thought they would be a good company. I paid them one payment per month instead of paying seven credit card bills. It helped my credit not to take a crash, because if I were to try to settle out all those credit cards by myself, I was going to let them all go and that’s just going to kill my credit. Cambridge helped me prevent that from happening. The credit counselors sent me monthly statements, which was good. If I asked for a payoff amount, they made sure they got that to me.

    Furthermore, they also sent emails with little courses I could take, or little tips or things about how to keep my credit good. They also make sure I’m on track and don’t take too much new debt. I have two credit cards now, and that’s it. Considering they took care of all the paperwork, they charged me $35 a month which is not a ton to pay considering they take the burden off me. They worked with the credit company on my behalf and they pay them out every month. The charge is reasonable. Cambridge is a good company and I would recommend them to other people.

    I was trying for a consolidation loan through LendingTree and I didn’t get the loan because of my debt-income ratio. So, they got me in touch with Dan from Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp and he started me up. He told me what it would be like to get my credit cards in order and what cards I wanna get rid of. He told me that once we started, they were gonna be cancelled and he worked with me on the monthly payment amount and he tried to get them down as good as he could.

    The representative was very easy to get a hold of. He gave me his extension number and I could call him any time and he was very reasonable and helpful.     Four years ago, like so many people, we found that the debt that we had accumulated on credit cards, was more than we could handle. Every month was a struggle.     I had a significant amount of debt that and needed to get a payment structure in place so that I could work towards the goal of getting them all paid off. And since I've worked with Cambridge in the past, I decided to use them again. I signed up for a program where they negotiated and collected the payments and distributed them to the creditors. I've worked with Cambridge's fantastic and supportive reps who asked a lot of really good questions. There were some who looked at my creditors or balances, came up with a plan and presented it to me. They wanted to make the payment plan something realistic and we mutually agreed that we were gonna be very aggressive, given what my goals were. They were very honest about the level of commitment that I would need to make and changes that I would need to make in order hit those goals.

    Then once the plan was put in place, that person went away and I didn’t get to speak to him again throughout the entire program. The plan was difficult but it was exactly what I wanted to do.     I had some credit card debt and I wanted it to be gone. I researched Cambridge Credit Counseling on the internet and I liked what they said, so I decided to go with them. I liked the enrollment process. I had a guy talk to me and set everything up. They helped me a lot and they set up a plan for me. We went from there and the money came out every month. I didn't have to worry about it and they were all paid off. The counselors listened to what I had to say and they worked with me in my budget and the amount that I had coming in at the time. They made it so that I could get everything paid off and still be able to live comfortably.

    My house is completely paid off and I am credit card debt free. I really liked the program because it came automatically out of my checking account and it lowered my interest rates.     Cambridge Credit was great. My credit rating has went down some. They set the program up and I just kept paying. It was so good. When we had the hurricane I called and told them when I realized that Puerto Rico had shut down and we shut down. I made my deposit and it didn’t go anywhere. We couldn’t get any money. The ATMs and the banks weren’t open. We had a category two category 5 hurricanes. We were tore up and they were really, really good. Once I called them and I told them the situation, they gave me a couple of days for the bank to fully process and send the payment in and I was good. In a crisis like that, Cambridge worked with me.

    They also made the cost affordable for me. I also liked the way they set it up where if in case I wanted to pay a little bit more into one of my accounts, I could do that. That was really awesome because once I got out of the rocks, I started to have extra money and I started paying bank amortizing. When I started paying a little $50k it helped to bring the balance down. All I have now is two other credit cards that they didn’t take and that’s good because now I’m able to pay more money on them.

    I like that every month I got a statement from them letting me know what was paid. They were upfront and honest. I didn’t have to call them to ask what my balance was and what was going on. They made it very clear by their communication where I was at. I was telling my friend about it and I hope she calls them and try to get her bills paid up because I, too, underwent that. I told her that was what I did and it helped me. Cambridge helps you to manage your money. I was trying to help my nephews and my niece go to college and then I was spending up more than what I have and as the economy got bad then my part-time job didn’t really help that much so I got in a bind but I’m out of it now. I’m glad and I thank Cambridge. I didn’t realize that I was almost in the end till I got a call and the guy said, “Would you know in your July payment you only owe us $6.” And I was like, “$6.”I cried. I also looked up a whole bunch of companies, and the rest of them ruin your credit and they'll put your money into escrow until you keep getting calls and calls and calls, but Cambridge didn’t do that.     I Googled information about Cambridge and with their help, I was able to pay off almost $30,000 worth of debt. Their reps were easy to get a hold of. They got a couple of the accounts to lower their interest rates, some more so than others. It wasn't a huge difference with the amount that I was paying on a monthly basis, but the timeframe was much shorter because they got the insurance reduced. They ended up taking approximately 40 bucks a month, which I think was all right. However, when they're paying off the cards, it's better if they can get an exact amount and just pay if off because it takes a really long time to get the balances.     One of our relatives had used Cambridge Credit Counseling and had the result, so we went with them too. The enrollment process was very easy. Once everything was set up, they had automatic enrollment. We worked with only one guy and I gave him all the accounts. Then he called me back and it wasn't long. Cambridge was flexible in working with me on my payment plan and the rep told me when he got the interest rate down and I would be paying the minimum fee. They said they were gonna send me something that I have to sign because we've finished the program, but I haven't gotten it yet.

    One thing that could help is if their website would show us our estimated payoff fee. It only shows us how much we have left to pay on our accounts but it doesn't tell us how long we have left to pay. I called Cambridge a couple of times to try to figure out how many more payments I had and they were forthcoming with that, but being able to get that from the site when we log in would be nice. Other than that, however, the cost of the program was good for the quality of service that they gave.

    I had been through credit counseling and paid off all my debt 30 years before when I was much younger, but I didn't learn my lesson well enough the first time. I had nine bills and I had to cut off my home phone so I didn't have pesky bill collectors calling. I wanted to be in a financial standing to live a lifestyle to which I’d been accustomed to, so I reached out to Cambridge out of a referral from a relative. The enrollment process was very easy because with technology, it was just a matter of being able to do most of it online. Cambridge has a great process and they have a wealth of information that’s helpful to get my financial health in order.

    Immediately once I enrolled, they took over my bills and got the interest rate from 27% to 2%, and I didn’t have collectors calling and sending me letters anymore. Cambridge gave me peace of mind and I realized that I was not alone and I didn’t feel shame. Their rep was great on the phone. After a while, once I got really set up, I realized that my rep was working all day so I had to cut the cord. I realized that I was on my own and everything was set up and I could do it, but not that he didn’t want to take the time with me. Cambridge would send me letters every time a bill was paid off in full. One time, I took one bill out of Cambridge because the company wouldn’t lower the interest rate and after I took it out, all of a sudden, they wanted to work with me.     I had concerns with debt and I wanted to get things together before they got worse and I fall into bankruptcy. The process of enrolling at Cambridge Credit Counseling was very easy and they were very kind. They extended their plan a little bit for me because normally I think they did, at one time, a four-year plan and we were on a five-year. And what a big difference it has made.

    I worked with their rep occasionally. We set everything up to pay and it got paid every month for five interventions. And I really understood what they were doing. The rep explained why we needed to do it this way and he called me back afterwards and said, “This is the arrangement I had made with this credit card. And now we’re able to get a great deal here but not right here.” But still he explained the whole process so I felt very comfortable with it. I don’t think there was much cost involved for us. It was very reasonable, what they were doing. So contact them before your financial concern gets over your head. I had a very good experience. I wouldn’t be afraid if something happened to use them again.

    I was pleased with the reviews I read online about Cambridge and their enrollment process was easy. All the information was done online. They set up how much it was gonna cost me and how much was gonna go to each credit card. So it went smoothly. I was also able to go online and check when I wanted to and see where it was going. In some situations, I was able to pay off certain cards and then I would call Cambridge. They would ask what I would want to do with my remaining balance and if I would want to put it towards another card. Then I would explain what I wanted to do. They were great to work with. They also assigned a counselor to me that I spoke to periodically. Anytime I called them, they jumped through hoops. They explained everything and answered any questions I had. Cambridge was really good and last month, I paid all the debt off. I’d recommend them to anybody.

    I signed up with Cambridge Credit Counseling many years ago. They charged me a flat monthly fee and I would suggest lowering it because it really added up after five years. Also, some of their fees were more than what I had to pay down on my credit. I paid my debt off early and it took me 5 years to do that. I feel good now that I've paid everything off.     I was looking online for a debt counseling company because I needed to consolidate my bills and I ran across Cambridge Credit Counseling. I called and talked to the reps and they were very thorough, so I decided to go ahead with Cambridge. I had a very good experience with them and I was very satisfied. They were always on time with everything that occurred. If I had something that I needed to talk to them about, they would get on it and they would call me back.

    In the program that I signed up with, they asked me what to bill and they added these up, and they told me what I could pay in a month. Once that bill had been paid off, the money that I sent to them was rolled over into the next bill and then that gets paid off in turn. I had an outstanding account with Mint Velvet and they helped me a lot with that. It took me two years to complete the program and I'm relieved now that everything has gone through.     I wanted to get out from underneath all my credit card. I had used Cambridge before so I used them again for debt consolidation. The enrollment process was simple but it took a month until all the cards came in and statements came in. The counselor was as active as I needed him to be, and wasn’t over pushy. Anytime I had a question or concern, I talk to him and he answered my questions. Then Cambridge would send me monthly information and updates. And when the first set of statement came up, it was fine. The cost of service was fair. Now, I’m no longer $40,000 of credit card debt. I was pleased the first time when I paid off a bunch of stuff and then I was just as pleased the second time. Cambridge has been very helpful but I hope not to ever need them again.     I got divorced and I had to consolidate all my bills down. Cambridge did not let my bills go past due and then try to negotiate. They went in before the bills were past due so it didn’t affect my credit score near as much. The enrollment was pretty simplistic. I did it all within 15 minutes on the phone and they told me exactly what they needed. I had one counselor the whole time and I was impressed with the attentiveness she had to me and my account. She always seemed to be on top of it and they always sent out updates. They got back to me as soon as I called and I felt very comfortable working with them.

    The only thing that could’ve been improved is I wish that they could’ve gotten the remaining balances from my creditors instead of me sending to them. Still, the cost was minimal compared to what they had to deal with. They'd come to me and say, “This is what we came up with.     Cambridge saved me from a lot of money. I was paying over $3,000 a month and I couldn’t find anybody to help me. I tried to borrow money to pay but I didn’t like the interest and companies wouldn’t loan me money because I owed too much. I saw Cambridge on TV and called them, then they helped me right away. They figured out everything and told me my payment was gonna be $600. I was shocked. I agreed to it and Dave was the one who enrolled me and got me in there. I felt very comfortable working with him because if I needed to ask any question, I could call him.

    Cambridge worked with me on my payment plan and they were pretty good about it. They would take out the payment and and explained to me that there were some statements that would have the late charge so, if I could pay that they wouldn’t grow some more. I did some of the payments which were about $5 or $7. Sometimes I was overdrawn at the bank, so I had to get an extra job because I didn't have enough money to go around. My daughter was figuring out my payments for me and whatever little money I had left, so I was doing okay. With Cambridge's help, at least I had a little bit of money left. Before I entered their program, I used all my money to pay all of my bills and there was no money left.

    I was happy with Cambridge and I've been telling everybody about it. Working with them gave me a little freedom of not worrying so much because I was stressed out and worrying too much about my money.     When enrolling for Cambridge’s debt management program, there was some confusion about what the actual amount of the credit card debt was. I was not able to pay that difference, so I let it evened out. But my credit is better and my score is about 720, so that’s good. The Cambridge counselor was all right, but there was one woman who was not empathetic and supportive at all. I was concerned about my inability to pay for two months because I was gonna have a surgery and would be bedridden. When I tried to talk to her about it, she told me that I could skip one month and that was it, or I would be starting up the program. But, I ended up paying the program off early.     I owe a bunch of money to several entities and had a problem getting them paid on time. My credit was horrible and I couldn’t do anything.     I made payments on my credit cards, but they were always not on time. I was getting late charges and it was getting out of hand and it was stressing me out. Somebody told me about Cambridge, so I got in touch with them, did the enrollment over the phone and the person I spoke to was excellent. They went through my expenses and I told them that I had started paying for my own health insurance. Their counselors told me to modify my spending, but spending wasn’t the problem. It was lack of money.

    They also made plenty of suggestions that I was already doing, but they were very helpful and if I needed anything from them, they were there. I also liked the lengths that they worked with the credit companies. Chase was one of the credit companies that didn’t want me to pay a certain amount a month and they wanted more. I talked with the first counselor what credit cards I had and interest rates and they worked with the banks to reduce the interest rate.     I had a couple of credit cards that I felt like I couldn’t get rid of. Their fees were starting to be as high as what I owed, and it was just overwhelming. The salesperson was very helpful in getting me setup with Cambridge Credit. I got into the program where they consolidated everything. They then came up with a fixed fee and they asked me if I would be able to do that, and that was what I paid. But when I called back one time with a question, the salesperson was really curt and not very welcoming of questions. I could tell that it was her job to sell it, and she did that. And once she did that, she was done with me.

    But the program was definitely worth it and I would recommend it. My debt is clean so I'm thrilled with that. It feels really good to be out of that debt, and it also made me realize how much trouble I can get into very quickly so I'm much more savvy about credit and charging.     I had debt and had a little moment where I had a lot of stuff in the collection. I could have taken care of it a long time ago, but I chose to take care of other things. Cambridge Credit Counseling helped me clear up all that old stuff with debt consolidation. We set up how much I would be paying and it was monitored very well. The whole time I was on the program there was not one time where I felt that something did not look right or was not done to my specification. Even at the end, for something that was paid, they sent the check back to Cambridge and disbursed it somewhere else, so it was good. If they were sending it to me then I would have spent it, so it worked out.

    There were a lot of emails going on, which was also good. Every month I got my statement informing me what was going on. The rep would always tell me that if there was anything he could do for me, I could reach out. Everyone was courteous and concerned about my needs. It was consistent all the way around. I was paying about $15 in fees and a total of $94 a month. If I had done that myself, I probably would have paid myself a little bit of money, too, but it was convenient. There is a convenience fee for everything now. But, Cambridge eliminated the phone calls and letters that came from the creditors. I have completed the program now and it is nice to see that once I paid, I could take that money and invest it somewhere else.

    Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience with Cambridge Credit Counseling and if I ever find myself in that situation again, I will absolutely reach out sooner than later. In fact, I have recommended Cambridge to a few friends already.

    My husband got laid off, I was the only one working and I was on a fixed income. We got behind and couldn't keep the payments up because if you were late, they would charge you that fee and they would keep going. So, we finally decided to look into credit counseling services. I called Cambridge Credit Counseling and they did a debt consolidation. They combined all my credit cards together and I made one payment each month and then they paid the credit cards. I have had other people try to do my debt consolidation but Cambridge works with you on the payments and your due date.

    Other people called me but Cambridge always kept in touch with me. They were really good about that. Every time they paid my bill, they would send me an email. When I paid them off, they sent me a graduation letter on my debt. If you had a problem and you call them, they would talk to you. I learned a lot from them not to take out credit cards.     Everything worked out really well with Cambridge. When I saw their ad, they looked reasonable and practical. And I knew that they took very small fee for the service. So I didn’t have any red flag going in with them. I worked with Chris and he was really right to the point. He got me signed up really quickly. I had several cards and wanted all of these get paid on time, and Cambridge contacted all of my creditors and they started paying the bills for me. They were the communicators between me and the creditor. It gave me more time and less stress.

    It's just that they don’t have new technology and don’t have an app that you can go looked at. There is no way to log on online and make changes. I definitely have to call them, which is not a big deal. I appreciate that they’re there and they called us at 5:00 or 4:30 but there was no option after 5 o’clock. So I would recommend that they add some technology that makes it a bit more user-friendly for the customer.

    We were in a credit and financial stress situation and we've been working with another financial counseling place. They recommended Cambridge who could organize a monthly thing on my behalf and get some better rates on paying off the credit loans. So, I called Cambridge and set things up. The process was quite straightforward and a number was withdrawn from my checking account. We discussed things and I continued payments with Bank of America directly but we did the other credit accounts through Cambridge.

    In our initial contact with Cambridge, I worked with somebody directly but since then, I just had to call a few times to follow up when accounts got closed. But everything went smoothly. There was a point in time when I worked for engineering on the services company and my rate was reduced. So, we had to defer a couple of payments and we were able to manage that quite well. Cambridge Credit was very supportive when I had an issue so I felt very good. The fee's only $15 a month and worth every penny. I would recommend people to go with Cambridge.     A bank quit owning the account that I had and transferred banks, so I ended up not receiving anything for a couple of years, and then out of nowhere I received a giant bill. So, I was unable to take care of that all upfront. I spoke with my uncle, who had experience with a lot of financial stuff, and he recommended Cambridge to me. Cambridge offered the debt consolidation beside a couple of other things that I was paying on, so it was easy to get it all done and down into a single payment.

    I reached out online and about an hour later I received a call to talk about what I wanted to do, what the situation was. And then, once they got a feel for it, they made a couple of recommendations on how I'd go about it. Once I chose an option, we went through the paperwork, the digital stuff, the explanations, and verified that. And then, they had me do the real budgets and balance analysis for them. And then, they gave their recommendation and that was what I got out of the registration.

    The first couple months, I had a bi-weekly communication with their rep. They would reach out and check in to see how things are going, seeing if I was staying on budget. After that, it was once a month. They would send a document saying, "Hey, this is where you're at," and they would reach out to see how I felt I was doing with the budget we have gone over and made sure I was staying on track with that. Once there'd been a track record I was staying on, after four months I started switching to quarterly and they had reached out and kept following up to make sure things were going well and everything was working out.

    My payment plan was set up in five minutes. They just gave a breakdown of what my bills were and then what my income was, and then looked over a couple of options for how long I wanna be doing it. The cost was completely worth it. I told them my stuff was about 7 and my consolidation was only a payment of roughly $140 a month and it was only a $29 service fee, but for the first payment it was $50 service fee. It worked great and I finished off all the payments two months ago.

    Overall, it took two years to complete the program. They were really good about following up on the closing process. I received a packet in the mail two weeks ago congratulating me on the success of completing their program. Cambridge was really good and really understanding with any situation that was going on. They'd work with you to get the best thing that you could get for your situation. And it doesn’t even matter what time you contact them. They make sure that they work around your schedule with you. I recommended them to several friends.

    I've used Cambridge Credit Counseling before with success. I had credit card balances that were ridiculously high and they could negotiate a lower balance and set me up with a payment that I could handle. I added creditors to my account and they were very helpful, got it done quickly and they were a good intermediary between me and the creditors. The payments were high but that was my fault because I was close to $70,000 in debt and if I was gonna get it paid off quickly and in a reasonable amount of time, I was gonna have to make big payments and I kinda knew that going in. Working with Cambridge gave me a little bit of discipline as far as closing the accounts out but I couldn’t use those cards again nor run the cards out while I was paying them.     I ended up having to retire four years before I planned to so I had bills that I still needed to pay. I went through Consumer Credit and they sent me to Cambridge who then consolidated all my credit cards and paid them off for me every month. The enrollment went fine.     I was in debt and wanted to pay it off faster, and so I looked up credit counseling agencies and chose Cambridge. They were excellent and their enrollment process went smoothly. I gave them everything that I had as far as my credit card and they took everything that I gave them. And they did an evaluation and told me what my monthly payments would be and how long it would take me to pay it. Cambridge's customer service was excellent and my experience with them was wonderful.     I'm in Connecticut and working with Cambridge Credit Counseling gave me a certain comfort level because if I had any issues, they were within driving distance. It made me feel like I had the ability to personally address something instead of having to do it on the phone and I didn’t even know who I was be speaking to. And if their place was in California and I was over here, it would make it more difficult for me to go in person to reach out if needed.

    Cambridge did more of a debt consolidation for me which was good. They were able to lower my rates while giving me a monthly installment plan in order to eliminate that. The payment plan was reasonable considering everything that I combined and the amount that I owed. Plus, it was in a timeframe within which I was hoping to have my debts all paid off. And everything worked out because if I had to do deal with my debts individually, it would’ve been a lot more stressful and would've taken me a lot more time.

    Cambridge's reps periodically gave me updates, made sure that I got my monthly statements, and answered any questions that I had when I called. When I was first trying to consolidate everything, there was a little bit of difficulty in getting one of the creditors to sign off on the deal that Cambridge offered. Originally, that creditor was supposed to be involved in the process, then they weren’t, and they were again. So, that created a little confusion and kind of delayed the process as far as any money going towards them. There was also a little bit of communication breakdown between me and what the creditor's expectations were. But that was not the fault of Cambridge, and was more or less on the creditor.

    Aside from that, I had a well-rounded experience with Cambridge. Everybody was very polite to me when I spoke to them and gave me accurate information which to me was the most important. If there was a miscommunication, they corrected the problem. I understand that those types of things happen, especially when you’re dealing with third parties. Cambridge was also very flexible. If I needed to stall a payment, they would help me with that as long as I called within the timeframe and I appreciated that.

I called them and the counselor who spoke with me discussed what they would do for me. She told me what the monthly payment would be and that the debt would be paid off after three years because the credit card company would negotiate and take a settlement.     My husband did a consolidation before and I called them and they said they weren't in this area and they gave me Cambridge's information for the area that I'm in. I called them and their reps were good. They stayed on top of things. I didn’t know if I have a say in it, but after we paid off our cards, I would call and tell them, "Can we put more to this one, so we can get it paid off?" They said, "Okay, okay. Just keep us up with the balance so we don't overpay." I think we overpaid two cards but it wasn’t even a total of $6. They kept in touch by sending me monthly counseling. And if they had any concerns, they would call me and address them. They would always send an email. They kept me informed with everything that I needed to know. my experience was really painless.

    They helped me out a whole lot because I had two Capital Ones, and because I'm military, we have something like the Service Relief Act that I knew absolutely nothing about. In the beginning, they ended up helping me get $5,000 and the interest was taken off in one of the Capital One cards, but they never combined. On one they gave me almost $2,800 and the other one was at $2,000. It was great and this was the first week. They said, "You may need to contact Capital One because they owe you a refund." I was thinking I owe them but I called and they said, "Yeah, we just needed a way to send the refund to you." So they were great.

    The payments were not significant where it would damage anything else I had going on. The payment plan is in the budget because they ask what do I do, how much I spend. They didn't interfere with the regular monthly bills that I have that's outside of credit card by paying off the credit cards. And they get paid off fairly quick. The program was completed under two years and they sent a letter and a certificate. I had never done it before and it was a great experience.     I've seen a lot of good reviews about Cambridge, so I called and asked a bunch of questions to see how much it would be and about how long of a period. Everything seemed to work out fine. My enrollment process went very smooth and I was able to do everything over the phone and over the internet. Working with Cambridge has impacted my life really well since I was able to pay down a credit card that I wouldn’t have been able to pay down myself because of the interest that was accrued on the bill. Cambridge came in very handy as I wasn’t charged that much interest and it wasn’t that big of a payment than I would have had been paying the actual credit card company. My balance was $6,000 but it only took me three years to pay it off. I liked the counselors that I worked with over the years.

    However, I would like to be able to do a Chase account and Cambridge said that if I do one of my Chase credit cards, I would have to close down all the cards that I've got concerning Chase and I didn’t wanna do that. So, I decided to go against it because Chase is a very good bank and I bank with them. Nevertheless, the payment plan with Cambridge was very reasonable and they made sure that I could pay it, so that was a good thing. Unfortunately, I got cut off on one of my jobs, so I was trying to juggle the $125 payment. But I was able to manage it, so I didn’t have to go and call although it would have been easier if the payment would be a little lower. I was almost at the end of the program then, and it worked out eventually.     I have tried working on my financial debt using a different company but the way they conducted their business was more harmful to my credit situation than it was beneficial. They held on my money until I was in defaults and then they’d paid it off. I then went with Cambridge and we made mild improvements every month. They got a list of all of our debt and then they contacted the companies, reined the interest rates and negotiated monthly payments. They worked with us to lower our payment and put us on a schedule that allow us to pay off everything in a timely, less stressful manner. Then the cost of the service was an additional $50 a month. Once the program was in place, there was limited interaction required. I just wish they would improve their hours of operation which seems limited to banker’s hours on the East Coast.

    Having worked with Cambridge, we had a lot of our finances under control so that we could start working on the things we really want and need, so that we could start working towards the goals we really want. And although we try not to talk to our friends about financial situations, we'd give them the guidance to look into Cambridge. But in the course of the period that I worked with them, hiccups came up once in a while and those were a little bit more difficult to maneuver. They wanted more time than sometimes was available. They would pay off my debtors, give me a summation of how much was taken out and then a column with how much until date, yearly. Once in a while, you check with your creditors to see at what point you're at and how much is left to pay because there could be some discrepancy.

    I had seven cards and they negotiated with the debtors to decrease the percentage rates which helped me out and I was able to pay off the debt. Cambridge Credit Counseling was the first one that I heard and didn’t need to go anywhere else. I enrolled five years ago and it was straightforward. They wanted to know what my spending looked like so I filled out a form that listed where my income and expenses were going. Then I listed the credit card and the debt and they evaluated that to determine whether I was somebody that they could help, and I happen to be so it worked well.

I wish our payments would have been a lot easier to make at the time because it took a big chunk out of our budget monthly, but we had high debts so it was probably what was available to us at the time. But that's not even really a negative thing. It's just more along the lines of what helps fit with us personally.     I was with somebody else then I was automatically transferred over to Cambridge. I did a debt consolidation program with them and they could be a little more organized and up-to-date on their end. Also, if you needed up-to-date information on an account, it took them a little while to get to it. And even if you made your payments to them on time, it might not be processed to the actual financial institution that you're paying off until after the due date. Also, when my cards were put in the program, they weren't very upfront about some of the consequences as far as the accounts being closed. There was a little lack of information regarding that. But I'm not gonna blame them because it did come from another company beforehand.

    On the other hand, there was always somebody available. Everything that was already in place beforehand was really the same once they took it over. I had automatic payments and it just came out of my account. There's really nothing in the whole process you can't do on your own. In my opinion, you're better off doing it on your own because all that they really do is set up a payment plan for you and they close your accounts. You could actually set up your own payment plan through all your institutions, keep your accounts open, and then your credit is not affected.

    I had a very good experience with Cambridge. I got in over my head trying to help my sister. Her husband was the breadwinner of the family. He had several major strokes and was unable to work and they have four kids at home. So I kind of took on the four kids and a lot of their expenses. I also helped to pay their power bill. Things just escalated very quickly. I never got to a point where I couldn't pay my bills, but it was coming to that point where I didn't know how much longer I could keep figuring this out.

    So I called Cambridge and talked to them. They worked with me and it had been a very good experience. They answered all my questions before I even had an opportunity to ask them and they made me feel very comfortable with the whole process. They were very helpful and we weren't being scolded. They took over paying all my credit cards and instead of paying like 12 different creditors, I was paying them directly once a month. It was just one lump sum and it was the same every month. And there was always somebody there if I had a question. And then they renegotiated all of my credit card rates with the credit card companies so that was much more manageable.

    They sent me a notification to tell me that a card had been paid off. They gave me a phone number to call to ensure that it was paid off and also to ensure if there was a credit balance that should be returned to me. And then they met with me two or three times a year to make sure where I was at. So I've gone through four and a half years, finished a month ago and now, I am completely debt-free and that's a very good feeling. It was excellent. I know some other people who have gone through some other companies and paid a lot more money and didn't have such a good experience.

    It was a huge weight off my shoulders to know that everything is paid off now. I had good credit before, but now I have better credit. They actually counseled me to determine what's the best thing to do. And they had recommended doing this instead of filing bankruptcy. So, if anybody ever told me that they were in a bad spot with debts, I would definitely recommend Cambridge.     If we had a question and I would make a phone call, the Cambridge people would always be there.     I was paying large fees every month to my three credit cards and no matter how much I paid, the total number never went down. And then I stopped using them altogether and we were just kept paying, and that was my concern. Then I called a number for the credit counseling on TV and it was Cambridge. I requested them to pay my debt off, and they were very accommodating and nice. They negotiated lesser amounts. There was an automatic withdrawal every 22nd of the month for $902 from my checking account and they distributed it to the three credit cards and to them. I owed about $37000 and ended up paying almost $51000. So what I paid was a slightly lesser amount and they took 2% and, in the end, I paid it with $10000 interest.

    I was glad that every time I got a statement, the amount I owed finally went down and I saw some reduction. I was finished in March, but I was getting statements from the bank even though I really didn’t owe them any money. So I called Cambridge to find out and then they adjusted everything. And my last payment was this May 2018 and it was around $600 and that was the balance that I owed Chase. I was happy to get rid of the credit card debt and I would recommend Cambridge Credit Counseling. They did what they said they were gonna do.

    I saw Cambridge Credit Counseling's information on an article and there were different people saying how Cambridge was able to save them thousands of dollars and get their credit cleaned quickly and efficiently. Cambridge is all about trying to get you to better your credit, which is what I like the most about because my credit wasn’t as great until I got a hold of them. I called them and told them my situation, like what bill I had to pay, and they pretty much took me step by step with the creditors. They contacted them for me and told me the minimum amount of money that they were requiring for me to pay at that particular time. Everything was affordable. They do it within your budget and ask you the questions like what your mortgage is or how much you’re paying in gas, grocery, and so forth, which I think was a big deal because that played a factor in your everyday bills. They based it off of that and they came up with a number.

    I was dealing with Chris and he was really great and very helpful. He answered any questions that I had and made me feel comfortable. He explained everything to me as he was doing it, which I actually like a lot. Also, he said after the first payment, I would be able to up it if I wanted to and if I can afford it so I can get this payment paid off in full as quickly as possible. They took care of all my debts in that last payment thing I had. I just finished paying it off and I was getting my credit pooled. I never thought my debt would be paid off in full until I was able to get my income tax and they told me the minimum payment was this. And I was able to pay it through my income tax and get it paid off in full.     When my grandson turned 18, I was gonna cut him off the cell phone because I just bought a house, so I had more bills. I was charged with a $1,000 phone bill and he was gonna get a job and pay. I kept paying the bills while they got ahold of the creditors. We started paying Cambridge and then they made smaller payments to the companies. They got them to knock down the interest.     Having too many payments and not being able to keep up, I tried reaching out to Cambridge and the woman that I spoke with seemed to be amicable. Then I got set up, and I'm glad I did. The enrollment process was a little tedious though. Some of the questions were redundant and I had a lot of information like account numbers provided to the individual I spoke with yet I got about three follow-up calls, asking me the same information all over again. And I was left with the impression that it was a commission kind of thing for her because once she got me set up, she moved on. She was never available when I had questions or I needed to call and get guidance on something. And I didn't have any other person that I dealt with so they just sent me off after I got set up.

    However, I'm relieved that it's now done and over with; that I have that less pressure on me.     A friend of mine told me about Cambridge Credit Counseling and he heard about them on the radio from one of the radio critics, Tom Martino, who said that they were good. He said to go with Cambridge and so we did since my marriage was failing and I have (HAD) a ton of debt. Cambridge provided their debt consolidation services and the enrollment process was upfront and they were honest. I talked to the counselor to get enrolled, [and I don’t think I ever talked to that person again] (WORDY). But they took care of it and it was a lot of stress off the plate.

    We had one card that had a really good rate, and they could’ve taken that card and made themselves some more money. Cambridge said that they can’t beat that rate and that if the rate goes up, to let them know and they would roll it in there. They didn’t have to do that. I’m out of joint debt with my ex-wife and my credit rating has gone up, [in which] (x - AND) I would attribute that a bit to Cambridge. They could improve something where I would’ve talked to them more often. However, I didn’t reach out either.

    We overpaid and then they cut us back a check, which was issued probably in February. Again, they didn’t have to do that. I didn’t know we overpaid, and I would’ve never known the difference had they not say anything nor would my ex-wife have known. I was comfortable working with Cambridge. I made that call and kept getting them the information that they needed. They took into consideration other bills that I had to pay since we still had a mortgage and we still had a truck payment for about a year and a half. Cambridge provided me with debt consolidation services. I talked to the counselor to get enrolled in their program and he went through my debt situation with me. I talked with him a handful of times five years ago. I was comfortable working with the team at Cambridge and I kept getting them the information that they needed. They took into consideration other bills that we had to pay since we still had a mortgage and a truck payment for a year and a half.

    The Cambridge guys were upfront and honest. We had one card that had a really good interest rate and they could’ve taken that card and made themselves some more money. But I was impressed that they were honest about that and they said, "We can’t beat that rate. If the rate goes up, let us know and we'll roll it in here", although they didn’t have to do that. We could have talked with the counselors more often, but I didn’t reach out to them either and just left them to handle things. Then we overpaid and they cut us back a check, which was issued in February, and again they didn’t have to do that, but it was the right thing to do. With the state of mind I was in, I didn’t know that we had overpaid and neither I nor my ex-wife would have known the difference if they had not said anything.

    Hopefully, most people wouldn’t go through that situation more than once in a lifetime. My number one thing is that it’s all self-motivation. I’m out of joint debt with my ex-wife and my credit rating has gone up, and I would attribute that a little bit to Cambridge. My credit rating is good and my life is better, and I'm more comfortable now. Cambridge took care of my debts and that was a lot of stress off the plate.

    Elizabeth: What are your thoughts about the ongoing customer support that you’ve gotten from Cambridge? You said that you wish that they would’ve reached out more. Was there anything else?

    Jeff: No, I don’t think so. My number one thing, it’s all self-motivation. Self-motivated comments is that, my one main thing is just, “I’m out of debt. My credit rating is really pretty good now, and life is better, less stress.” I guess I don’t know. I’m pretty comfortable now I guess.

    Jeff: Yeah. “Here, someone take this off my plate,” type of deal.

    Elizabeth: How did Cambridge work with you on a payment plan? Did they take into consideration other bills that you had to pay, or just give you a lump sum that you had to pay every month?

    Jeff: I think they took that into consideration. Obviously, between my ex-wife and I, we had discussed, “Can we do that number?” which we could. So, I would think they did, because we still had a mortgage and I think we still had a truck payment for about a year, year and a half.

    Elizabeth: With all of that being said then, on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being that you would recommend Cambridge to a friend, and 1 star meaning that you were very dissatisfied with that experience, how would you want to rate them?

    Cambridge Credit Counseling was recommended to me by my bank. They are good people to work with. Their program helped me pay off the bills that I owed and they all made it easier to pay my bills off. Back in 2013, I was in big debt and my bank recommended them. Cambridge then contacted the people first to make sure that they would work with them and then made it where I can do my monthly payment. Additionally, they took off the interest fees so I didn’t have to pay anymore interest on any of the bills that I was paying on. To check on me, the credit counselors called quarterly and also emailed me. I'm done with the program and I'm happy that those bills are paid for.

    I got overwhelmed with bills and I remembered that I had been in the program of Cambridge Credit Counseling before, a long time ago, and I wanted them to help me with their services again, so I sought their help. I had prayed about which credit counseling company to go with and Cambridge was the first one that I got to, and I called them. The services that Cambridge provided for me were nice and good. I was trying to pay down my debts and when one got paid off, they would put my payments to the other debts that I had. So, the program worked out fine. Also, my interactions with my counselor were nice every time I called in.

    But the only thing that could have been done a little bit better was getting the correct amount that I had to pay. When I was paying off one debt and thought I had paid off another one, my balance wasn’t right. Then, when I had finished with the program, Cambridge had to reimburse me some money that I had overpaid and that could have been because, when I first gave them the amount that I owed the creditors, it wasn’t correct. I didn’t understand from the beginning if it was left for me to call the creditors to see how much I owed them. Nevertheless, I'm now confident and good to know that I don’t have debts because I felt like I was losing my mind at the beginning before I got into the service.

    I had quite a large debt on credit cards. I read about Cambridge somewhere and I signed up for their debt consolidation program. At first, I set up an appointment to talk to one of their people and he told me what it was all about. He also told me to send in my list of debts and and after that, the payment was taken out of my check each month. I was very satisfied and very happy to have been able to clear that debt off my credit history. The payment plan that they had me on was a good one, too. It was an excellent experience and I've told my friends how nice it was. I told them that with Cambridge, you don't have to worry about the payment as it comes out of your check each month and before you know it, you're finished.

    I was with Cambridge Credit Counseling five and a half years ago. I just paid the bills and I depended on them to pay them out to various people and they did it. I paid off all of those credit cards, something like $35,000, and that was nice. There was a time when I skipped one payment when I was in radiation for cancer and they said that I could skip one but I could not skip two payments. And then I ended up bringing the payments back to current. They were charging $40 a month which I didn’t find that bad. I would recommend Cambridge Credit Counseling.

    I used Cambridge back in 1985 in Buffalo, New York. They had been around that long and they’ve been doing what is right for years. I came back and I had about 25 credit cards that they consolidated. They got rid of the interest or lowered it. The enrollment process was easy. The cost also seemed fair and the monthly payment was very doable. Sometimes I even made double payments which was nice. The customer support was consistent as well. The counselors were very concerned about me and they gave me a lot of tools. Cambridge helped me be more responsible, taking care of my bills instead of going bankrupt. My debt was about $35,000 and it went off in four years. Cambridge took care of everything and also helped me take care of my business. They made me feel really good to be debt-free and I have recommended them.

    I was feeling overwhelmed with debt and I wanted to try to get ahead and pay off my bills faster. I was directed to a Cambridge rep and he asked me questions like what bills I had. I finished making my payments last month. But I’m not sure if using Cambridge worked in my favor. The only bill that I was able to end up going through Cambridge with was from my Home Depot card in which I had to build up the balance for a couple of promotional deals where they offered 12 months without interest. But by the time I got down to a 0%, it seemed like I owed another $4,000 again because Home Depot wouldn't allow the promotional offers to be valid because of the third-party involvement.

    Had I known that Home Depot was not going to allow the promotional offers, then I might have stayed without doing Cambridge. So there could have been more understanding of what I was doing at the time. Still, I’m not a hundred percent that I did the wrong thing. Besides, I had used Cambridge with my ex-husband many years ago and they really helped me. I know what services Cambridge offers and they can get people out of a lot of debt. I would recommend them.
