I think Cambridge used to advertise on TV a number of years ago so I contacted them. Since signing up, there hadn't been much change. They just figure out what I needed to pay every month and I paid it. As of last month, everything is paid off and I'm free and clear of it. They were able to lower my interest rate and I was able to reach my credit counselor whenever I needed to. They give good service. I would give them a 5.
I was always able to get a hold of the Cambridge counselor whenever needed. They're outstanding and a very good company to work with. I would recommend Cambridge.
I just found Cambridge on the internet and started looking around. I don't have a bit of problem with Cambridge. I interact with my counselor all the time, and they were available when I needed them. They got my interest rate almost down to 2.5%. It was great. I couldn't ask for better things. You feel a lot better when you had a credit card paid for. You don't have to worry about it anymore. I thought that I might use them again, maybe. I don't know yet. For another, definitely.
We really didn't interact with them very much once we got everything set up, but when we called, they were there. They managed to bring down our interest rate. They were very kind and knowledgeable about everything and just kind of eased our minds about being able to take care of everything for us and get us on the right track. It made a big difference for us to get things in order so we could borrow some money to get our farm (we have a dairy farm). And so it kind of fixed our business up a little bit because it was getting messed up.
We first heard about Cambridge through our accountant. Prior to contacting Cambridge, well, it's a lot of stress. So I'd say it was a satisfying, gratifying, good overall experience with Cambridge.
I first heard about this company on a morning show, TV. During that time I needed some help how to get out of debt - and Cambridge really helped me get rid of debt! Once they set up the program, I didn't even need to call. I get an email every month, what they were paying, showing where they take the money. They lowered the interest rate and paid our plan and all that. They did what they said they would do. Very pleased.
It's been so long ago when I heard about Cambridge. I called them and talked to them and I just signed up with them and let them take over my bills the first time. I did it twice with them. I think they're great. I was able to get in contact with the credit counselor every time I had to. They did a wonderful job. They were able to help lower my interest rate. In fact, on a couple of calls, they got the interest completely cut out. It has almost got me out of debt. I still owe a bank in California a little bit on a Visa card that I have that is okay to use, but I only have that and then another Visa with my other bank. And that's the only ones I have. And my daughter is working with me to pay off the one in California. And since I don't have Cambridge now, it's much easier to make the payments to them and not borrow the money back. I would say it was a great experience. I am totally satisfied with them. I have recommended it to other people.
I had plenty of opportunity to talk to their credit counselors. I mean, they called but once my debts were placed in a debt management program and I was on the program paying, I really had no need to really contact them. So it was good. It was professional, but not always the best advice...
I don't know if this is a sequence. One problem that I did have that I didn't realize really messed up my credit was I thought they were advisable for one of the creditors that I had added to the debt management program. It was Barclays Bank or Juniper Bank. The name of the card was Juniper Bank but it goes through Barclays. They required that I'd be at least 30 days late in order to enroll the account in debt management. And Barclays, their computerized system, because I was over my limit for more than 10 days, because I didn't pay on 10th day, they notified that I was over my limit. (The payment wasn't even late. It was just days past). They expected you to pay down to under your limit and because of that they raised my interest rate from like 13.99% up to 29.99%.
I did get that overridden but the problem was their computerized system kept like throwing it back to 29.99%. So to get out of that and stop all that, I thought I'm just going to put it in debt management. Well, to be able to qualify, I had to go late on that and no one told me what kind of problems I would have. Actually, the fact that I went late on that payment probably has a worse effect on my credit and a more everlasting effect on my credit than even doing the debt management itself. Another problem I've had is I was only 30 days late once and they continued to record me as 30 days late three times. And I have not ever been able to get it resolved...
We just kept having a lot of calls prior to contacting Cambridge. I think it was friends of ours that have used it who told us about them (I can't remember. It's been a while ago.) With their help our interest rate went down and it helped us pay off those bills. We were able to get in touch with our certified credit counselor whenever we needed to, maybe once or twice, but it was fine. I didn't have problems with that. It was a helpful experience.
I think I heard about Cambridge on the radio. I needed help and I heard that they were not one of the scam ones. The first gentleman I talked to, I talked to him a couple of times and after that, I wasn't able to really get a hold of him. But the other people that I would talk to on the phone gave me the answers I needed. It went fine. If I had any questions and stuff like that about where I was at or when a bill was paid off, now what was it going into, and stuff like that. Also, they did lower my interest rate.
It was a good experience. They did what they said they'd do and things got paid off, so it's all done. I've recommended them to four.
My brother-in-law actually told me about Cambridge. I just needed it because of the time to clear some of the debt that we had and everything. It helps with taking care of what we needed to and was great. It was very easy and there were no issues, and I like that.
I think I had applied for a loan or something and then I guess I owed too much. I was in with a loan company and it didn't go through or something because I guess I had too much credit. I think that's how I found out about the Cambridge Credit Company. I was able to communicate with my counselor whenever I wanted, but I didn't have to. They tell me what they were doing so I didn't have to do too much calling. It was good because I don't ever go over there - just talk to them on the phone. I just got my bills paid off. So the people stopped calling me every day and everything. I already recommended Cambridge to people and to a couple of my friends.
My partner had used Cambridge in the past and had good experience with them, and I just needed to deal with my Chase credit card since it was in collection. I talked to some other people, but I just decided that Cambridge was the better choice. It was easy and very convenient. Once I got everything set up, it just was very useful, very quick and basically they made dealing with Chase a hell of a lot easier. They were able to lower my monthly payments.
Well, I heard about Cambridge on CNN and somebody was talking about them and recommended them. I was looking at our financial situation and we were paying a thousand dollars a month and all the credit cards with a base rate totaling up to 30 percent. So we were not using any of the credit cards, but they raised the credit rates in 2008 I believe. All the credit cards did that, I believe. We just kept paying $1000 a month and nothing ever changes. So we were just paying the interest only. So I looked at Cambridge, I called them and then I got involved with them.
Basically, we signed up. They gave us the spiel about what's going to happen. I came over and I decided we're going to go ahead and do it. So I submitted the facts or (anything like that) I brought all the different credit cards with me. They quickly had it turned around. They got all of them reduced down to a certain rate. They explained to me all the terms. They explained to me this was not getting rid of the credit cards; it was simply managing the credit cards. And so I understood that this was not any type of debt release as far as like getting rid of the debt. It was just able to pay it down. So we got all the credit cards paid down to 90% and they set up a payment for them of $697 per month which saved us $300 plus. That was including a $35 fee that they charged. They explained the fees to us and that was very reasonable for them to charge $35 per month for doing their services. So we set up an automatic draft and we did it from 2009.
We just finished last month. And we paid up a total of $27,000 of debt. Every month we got a statement showing us what has been paid and what was left over. And then towards the end when the credit cards would be paid, after each one was paid off, they automatically sent us a congratulation letter for each one plus information about if there was any overpayments and how to get the refunds back. That was done one by one and they automatically consolidated too, which ones had the highest amounts of rates and highest amount on the card. So it's very systematic and organized. I already recommended them to four or five different people.
I don't remember how I found out about Cambridge the first time because this is the second time I've used them. I have used them before so I went back to them again. I did seek assistance from my bank and other institutions but they all wanted money upfront. I forgot the person's name from Cambridge but he was always there if I had questions. And my fee went down every time my bill was paid off. I like the way they kept me up on the monthly financial statements that they sent.
Cambridge was a way of knowing that the bill was going to be paid every month and how much exactly was going to be taken out and the length of time it is going to take to pay it off and no more interest was being charged.
I've used Cambridge before this last incident I had. Somebody recommended them to me a couple of years ago. I went back to them again. I really tried to handle it myself and then I worked with this company called Fourth something which really screwed me around. And I thought it was similar to what Cambridge does but what they were doing was banking my money and then making an offer to the creditors so I settled that. And I paid probably about four or five months and then all of a sudden, somebody was running a credit report or something. And they were like, 'Man, you got all these things.' I'm like, 'Wait, I'm talking with these people. I was taking care of it.' And they go like, 'Hey, they've been taking your money.' So it took like months and months to get them to stop taking... and I got some of my money back. So I remembered Cambridge again.
With Cambridge, I really didn't have to run around, to have these people not know what I was talking about. It seemed like everybody had enough information. Somebody had some information pretty much about the day I called. So I had no problem with it. They were able to lower the interest rates. I had a couple at Washington Mutual, I believe. And I asked them for like 20 something and then I think two or three of those were down to 10 percent or something like that. That helped with the payoff.
I was pretty satisfied with Cambridge. They took the phone calls away and took the anxiety of just dealing with the credit. It just made my life much easier since they were good at doing what they were supposed to do. I recommended them to my sister. She had to take an early retirement to Texas and she's on Cambridge right now.
I felt overwhelmed. I got so many bills that I know I can pay but I can't handle like writing checks every day... I just wanted to consolidate it. And Cambridge has been very helpful and I'm very grateful for them. They are very good and they are very helpful and they listen and are very nice. Working with Cambridge has affected my life very, very positively. I was able to reach my goals and I feel free right now. I will recommend them to a friend definitely.
I heard of Cambridge Credit through my sister-in-law. It was great. It came at a perfect time. My husband had lost like half of his earnings at work and there were no commissions anymore. It was really a bad time. And we're not the type to file bankruptcy. We're not the type to not pay our bills. So my sister-in-law told me, 'Oh, I called these people. I had the best experience.' Her name was Betsy, I think it is. I never got to talk to her again. I think maybe one other time but she just helped us so much. They did everything. They consolidated it all. They lowered the interest rate. They paid everything off. I give them a 5 for sure.
I had tried to get a loan, and either the interest rates were too high or the other, and I didn't want that. I already had high interest rates to start with. So I said, no, there's no solution for me at the bank. I really don't remember how I heard about Cambridge but I think it was their phone on the internet, and I decided to just call to see. They gave me some good information and then I decided to give it a try and it worked great.
I actually didn't have much interaction with the credit counselor except at the beginning, where they suggested I do not only just make the payments with them but also how to go about saving a little bit of money and this and that. And I probably did most of what they suggested and things worked out pretty good. We didn't have much counseling after that. I talked to them a few times to see how I was doing. It worked out pretty good and they were able to lower my interest rates.
Working with Cambridge has gotten me out of the hole and out of being so tight in my finances every month. It freed me up to where I'm using basically the same credit that they used in paying off a few other bills that I had and concentrated paying one off and then going to the next one. It made sense. It gave me a rule to follow. I have already recommended this to other people. I had nothing but good experience.
I heard about Cambridge Credit Counseling from my brother in Ohio. He had used it and he sent me some information on it, helping me to use it. I needed help and I didn't know where to turn. I had thought about seeking assistance from other institutions but I really hadn't. I simply called and my brother gave me the information he had on it. They really served the purpose.
The Cambridge people were very concerned, and they gave me confidence because I really just didn't think I'd ever get free of all the debts and things I had gotten myself into. They were very helpful. From time to time, they gave overviews and checked to see how we were doing and whether or not it was working. This summer, I've cleared all those debts I had! What really got me out was the lowering of the interest rates.
Working with Cambridge has taught me to be more responsible in how to deal with things and do some evaluation before I just jump in, especially going in debt. That was an awful burden and then it was so much a success that it's just like a feather because I just felt that light, just like the burden had been lifted. I have completed all of the things I asked of them and they did it for me. I rate them a 5.
They were very friendly, very on the ball. You call them and they don't have an issue answering any questions. They are really good and more of helping out with one base rate rather than 15 credit cards in different rates. They did a really good job with that. I have a couple of credit cards here and there but they're not extreme as the one that I just finished paying out from Cambridge which they really helped me out a lot. I give them a 5.
I don't remember exactly how we heard about Cambridge Credit. It was well over five years ago. But we decided to do it because we had a lot of credit card debt. And they had a pretty good program. It turned out to be a very good program for us. I tried calling the different credit card companies, but they weren't real helpful.
I'll be honest with you, and I think this is probably the best recommendation I can give. It's that I didn't contact them a lot and they didn't contact me a lot in five years. It just went and it was finished and we got finished paying everything that was on there. And we're in much, much better shape now than we were five years ago. I think the fact that there wasn't a whole lot of interaction one way or the other... the lady that we dealt with called every year to see how we were doing and I'm sure she had all the records in front of her when she said that. But everything went well. She did check up on us. And that was nice to know. So, it was a good experience.
I'm in sales and customer service and I always tell people it's not if we mess up, it's how we handle it once we've messed because all companies mess up because we're all human. We all screw up from time to time. And they didn't really make any mistakes for us. They paid everything pretty much on time. I'm not going to say that everything went exactly right. A lot of it had to do with computers and mail and I think credit card companies hold things until the very last minute and then, 'Oops! We screwed up. Oh, we're charging extra.' But then again, I'm cynical when it comes to credit card companies. They were able to reduce the interest rate in most of the debts, not all of them but most of them very significantly. They did everything that they said they were going to do and, you know, I'm very pleased that everything worked well.
I definitely would recommend them to a friend but I don't normally put fives down. I would say a high four. The experience was just seamless.
I was talking to my granddaughter and I said, 'You know, I had this bill for so long and I keep paying and paying and they don't go down.' So she said, 'Well, you know, grandma, I'll give you a number. I'm with Cambridge. Why don't you try it and then maybe you can get it.' And I said, 'Okay, I will.' And I did and that's how I started and they really helped me.
I had a big bill and I actually told Cambridge about that but I told them I would never want to put that one on there. But they helped me with all my other little bills that I had because, like I said, I keep paying and I think even a lot of the guys that helped me from there said, 'Yeah, I noticed that you've been paying for so many years and you still owe the same.' I said, 'Yes, I know.' It was all going on interest. I tried my bank but I know they won't lend it to me because of that big bill that I have. So I said, 'No, I'll just try this,' and that's when I did.
I got to talk to them once in a while because they said, 'You have to keep in touch.' And they used to send me letters and I would fill them up to see how I felt and how I was doing and if I was kind of saving money. And to tell you the truth, I told them, 'No, I'm not. I can't.' But now that I'm not paying them, I'm saving that money that I was giving them. That's what I'm doing now.
They were able to lower interest rates for the ones I was paying. That's how I got them done. Otherwise, I'd probably be still paying. I'm out of it now and I told them I really appreciate the help that they gave me. So far, it was really good because I got all of my bills and that's kind of what I need. So they really helped me in that. I was really happy to hear about them.
This actually went on back a long time. But I do remember I actually heard about Cambridge Credit Counseling on a talk radio show. There was someone on there talking about debt relief or whatever and he happened to mention that he thought that Cambridge was one of the better ones to go with and that's how I found out about them. We've talked to them off and on. And most conversations were done when we started this. I know it was probably seven years maybe. So we just finished paying them off. We've been in this house for four years or so and we were in the other house when we started this. We got at least six credit cards and it could have been seven. My wife paid all the bills. She would know better than me. But yeah, we were totally happy with them.
The job that they did, we were just thrilled to death. I mean it really helped because we got all these things paid off and it's just made differences. I'd say we paid them off in six or seven years and had we not had them and just went doing what we were doing, we'd probably still be paying on these things for another five years or so at least and paying a lot more. But I've been very, very happy with them.
They lowered our interest rates, combined everything together, but they paid like so much on each one of the accounts and then when that account was done, it was paid off. We kept paying the same amount, and then that was applied towards the other ones. And so eventually, the biggest one was the last one and I forget when it got down to where that was the only one we were paying on. But that's bigger than the last year, I think, and then it just sort of knocked that down. So now, we've got $256 a month that we're not shelling out for credit cards that we didn't need.
They took a lot of pressure off. We felt secure and confident with them knowing that we sent this payment to them and knew as long as we kept doing this that eventually, this was going to end.
It's been a long time ago I knew about Cambridge and that's why when I got in trouble, I contacted them. They took care of it (very businesslike). Our interest rate went down with their help and they helped me get out of debt. We just paid every month... that was it, and it took care of the loan! I would recommend them to other people.
When you do something like this with a credit counselor, you're always a little apprehensive of what you're doing, if you'll get the right person. But I felt very confident with Cambridge Credit Counseling (because I did a lot of research - I checked out several places and looked them up online). I'm already finished and really enjoyed working with Cambridge. They were really good. I haven't had any problems with them at all. I think they were very professional and they definitely helped lower my interest rate. It's freedom! I have recommended them to several people.
I heard about Cambridge about 12 years ago on Moody Radio in Chicago. And there was someone being interviewed and Cambridge Credit Counseling came up and we've used them twice. We worked with them for three years or so. And then about four years ago, we started again with them. The 2008 crash is what started me to call them again, when everything started going out of control and with creditors charging 27 point whatever interest levels and all that.
Our certified credit counselor kept in touch with us by email and we had no trouble at all during the entire process. It was very predictable and we had worked with them before so we knew how it worked and it seemed like a good experience. The only thing that I missed was the incentive plan that they had the first time we used it. There was a good payer system that gave some type of a kickback thing if everything stayed good the whole time. And this time, they don't have that as a policy. So that I missed. But other than that, it was fine. We appreciated their help, them being able to help bring down our interest rate. It was overall a good experience, and we're glad to be done. I have recommended Cambridge to people.
Several years ago, I saw an ad video at somebody's house and I called Cambridge Credit. At the time, he was a counselor and now, he's the president. I talked to him and he took me up because I owed some bills. I just wanted to get out of debt and there was one of the ways he talked about. He said that I could pay this per month and they would take it out of my checking account and they did. They were able to lower the interest rates and they sent me some things every month, newsletters and so on. Last month, they sent me a thing saying that I was debt free. I mean, I don't owe anything. I paid my debt. I paid it all.
I had no problem at all with Cambridge Credit. It was a good experience and I'd recommend them.
I first heard about Cambridge Credit Counseling through my work. I really needed some help. I have a business and I got myself in trouble. We got emails saying that you could start a business with these people and then I thought that I'd try them. But then they kept taking money out and I had so many cards that I was using and I just thought this was going to pick up my business, and it never did. It just kept on adding every month and then pretty soon, I just couldn't handle paying all my credit cards back, and then I realized I was in trouble and I needed help. So I contacted my work. We have a personal system program thing and so I called that and they referred me to Cambridge. So that's how I ended up going with Cambridge.
Cambridge was really good. I mean, they stretched me a lot. I almost couldn't seem to pay my bills for a while there, but it worked out. It was a long stretch but I got it done and I'm really happy. Working with Cambridge helped me to realize that I just need to be really careful with my finances.
A friend told me about Cambridge Credit, so I decided to get in touch with them. It was good. They were to the point and there was no hidden anything like I was expecting. Everything they told me was true. There was no misleading or anything. I was able to interact with the credit counselor and they were available whenever I needed them. I paid it off.
I was in debt a lot and wanted to get out, and I didn't see any way of needed help. A few years ago I had gotten one of those that advertised on television to help and I got tired of them and didn't take them anymore so I hadn't looked around until my son told me about Cambridge. I've wanted to go somewhere and I didn't know where to go. My son said he had heard real good things about Cambridge Credit.
I talked to them at Cambridge two or three times. Once it got set up and got going, I really didn't need any more help. It wasn't like I needed help with doing what I was doing. All I needed help with was just paying them off. It relieved a big load off your mind to know that you're going to be able to pay them up. I think it was a while but it did get done so that's the important thing. They were able to lower the interest rate and it helped me pay the bills off by getting to pay less. I'd say they are a great relief.
I don't really remember how I heard about Cambridge Credit, but when I did some research, I found out that they were one of the most credible ones to seek assistance from. All I knew at that time was that I had to do something and get everything in order, and so I talked to them about my problems. Although I didn't get to interact that much with my credit counselor, I would call him at times to ask about what's happening. Other than that, I stuck with the process, and I got through it.
They were able to lower my monthly payment by at least $400. The savings helped tremendously and opened up a lot of things for me. A lot of things happen in life, so less payments was great. I feel relieved, and I appreciate the help. It was a good experience.
I was desperate. I was drowning in debt. My paycheck was literally disappearing and I had nothing to live on. So I got to do something. I think I might've gone online and tried to find a debt management organization and that's how I got to know Cambridge Credit.
The people were nice and it was a good plan. I think my gal was Nicole, and she sent me all kinds of information and everything. She talked to me a lot. She called me and asked me how I was doing. I thought that was very nice that she did that. I know that they negotiated my repayment with some of the creditors and got me a lower interest rate. During that time, I get paid twice a month. So I would live on one paycheck and the other paycheck went for that. And so now I'm able to have savings and it's not killing me. I think that was good.
And after it was paid off, I can't tell you how excited I was, with all that debt gone. I'm there now and it will never happen again. They were somebody I needed at that time to get me back on track. It was awesome. It's life-changing.
I heard about Cambridge Credit Counseling from one of those money channels 4 or 5 years ago. I was completely skeptical about it. It was something new to me and I was just like, ''Man, I don't know if they don't take me for a noob.' I don't know if it was real or not. Every time you see something brand new, somebody say they are going to do this, you don't believe those stuff.
Out of the five years that I were with them, I probably called them maybe 5 times at most. Basically I just called them and told them ''Hey look here, I want to have particularly this much. What can you do for me?'' They gave me the options. The options worked for me. They took payments out on the 26th of every month. They didn't miss a beat, with the exception of three times that I asked them could they do something else. But other than that, it was a cool thing. It's an easy process. I think they did their job. I'll really recommend them.
I was having some problems paying the bills and I was wondering how I can pay the bill every month. We were scrambling out to pay them. So one of the commercials on CNN was on and she said, 'If you have any bills that you're having problems in paying, then contact Cambridge.' She gave the number and I called immediately. It was a blessing I can't complain. I had no problems. Anytime I wanted to contact my credit counselor, it was right there. The experience was very good for me. It was just the very first time that I had ever done anything like that and I have no complaints with it and I will do it again.
I graduated from Cambridge after being on their program for 6 years. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Without their help, I'm sure I would still be trying to pay down credit card hell. I thank them for their help and recommend them to my friends and family members.
happy holiday season Sherri, thanks so much for the kind words. it was our pleasure helping you achieve your goal of eliminating your credit card debt. You should also take a moment and pat yourself on your back for being committed and sticking with the plan to eliminate that debt. a big congratulation from the Cambridge family to you and yours. very sincerely Christopher Viale
I feel fortunate to have done my research and chosen Cambridge when seeking a credit counseling agency. So many offers out there are scams and it is scary to put your trust in a company you don't know when it comes to your finances. Cambridge has always offered professional and friendly service. The counselors know what they are talking about and really do what they say they will do, which is to work with your creditors to lower your interest rates to much more manageable rates (I think my highest ended up around 9% and one was as low as 2%) so that you can pay what you honestly used on credit without it taking you 10 years. It ended up taking me 4 years to pay off 4 credit cards at around $8000-$10000. Had I tried to do that on my own, it would have taken me 3-4 years per card! I'm very satisfied with my experience and I would (and have) refer anyone to their service.
I discovered Cambridge Credit Counseling while evaluating whether to consolidate all my credit accounts following the sale of my home. I spoke with one of your credit counselors and his explanation of the consolidation process was outstanding. I completed the application and when I was approved, the payments started exactly as scheduled. Even when I had to reduce the monthly ACH amount from my checking account, your representatives were professional and understanding.
My experience with Cambridge Credit Counseling Corporation so far has been excellent. They have handled every situation without issues. I would highly recommend Cambridge Credit Counseling Corporation to anyone and I have done so. Tina ** was very important and helpful in helping me through the beginning process. She kept me well-informed of all of the processes. I am thankful for all their help.
Someone is always there to talk to you and answer your question. This is the second time I have used this service. They are very thorough in keeping you posted on your account. Every time a debt is paid, they send you a letter. It takes the worry out of paying a number of bills each month; they do it for you for a minimal fee.
When I contacted Cambridge, they were very helpful and polite. I had checked a few companies besides them. I'll say due to the way, they were on the phone with me, I chose them. I will be done next March and I am happy I paid off bills and got a clean slate. I would recommend to anyone else with A+ rating. Thanks.
It has been a great experience knowing I am paying off bills I had hanging over my head for several years. I’m getting close to paying them off and I am very proud of myself. Cambridge has been a blessing in our family, and I would recommend them to anyone. A friend I worked with told me about them, and they have been wonderful. I love it because they pay everything and I still get my statements to see how my balances are coming down. Thank you, Cambridge and staff.
We checked around with other companies about consolidating our debt. We chose Cambridge because they are a BBB accredited business. We had over $25,000 in credit card debt and were paying well over $1,000 a month and not noticing any changes on the balances of the accounts. We called Cambridge for help and they got all of our interest rates lowered or even got 0% on some cards and less than 5 years later, we are completely out of our credit card debt! Cambridge helped us out so much, I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the same situation I was.
Cambridge Credit Counseling helped me keep a handle on my debt and to eventually be debt-free. I had six credit cards and over $13,000 in debt, and with my low monthly, consolidated payment to Cambridge, I was able to make all of my payments on time and be completely out of debt in less than 3 years. I appreciate all of the staff’s help in achieving my goals.
Christopher helped me: he is a wonderful asset to your company! I lost my job last November 2011 and worked every so often with a temporary firm. I got unemployment and I did my homework on credit counseling and Chris helped me decide on Cambridge. I am now back on track with my finances and I have Cambridge and Chris to thank!
Your company is my answered prayer! When I look back at my expenses, I don't know how I did. Now, I have a huge peace of mind by knowing that I will be debt-free in a couple of years, and the greatest news of it all is I'm learning not to charge. How I am wishing I would have done this a long time ago. Plus, I have money left over to do what I need to do and not having to charge it in a credit card. This has been very difficult for me and hard because I used to be able to go anywhere and buy buy buy. I'd get whatever I wanted or needed. Now, I think twice, and most importantly, I have learned a very valuable lesson, which is no charging! You guys just don't know what I am going through, but I'm doing it! With the grace of God, I take one day at a time.
I had heard about Cambridge Credit Counseling from an ad on my local radio station. I have considerable amount of credit card debt. I called the number that was advertised and was immediately paired up with a debt counselor. He immediately worked with me on unsecured debt and my revenues. It took just a short amount of time to negotiate a fair interest rate and set up payments to pay off my debts. He was very professional and taught me how important it is to set up a budget and to stick with the budget. I paid all my debt in 3 years, and I’m now almost completely debt-free. I would highly recommend Cambridge Credit Counseling. It helped me get my fiscal house in shape.
I was in a difficult situation after graduating college and I had a massive amount of credit card debt. One of my large balance card providers raised my interest to 29.95% and my minimum payments were barely hitting my actual balance. They were just covering the interest payments. Cambridge Credit Counseling provided me a simple once a month payment for 3 credit cards that was lower than my previous payment for one. They were able to get my interest from 29.95% to 6% on one card, and from 24% to 10% for the other two. I definitely learned the lesson of living within my means the hard way but with the help of Cambridge, I was able to pay off my credit card debt in 3.5 years whereas without their assistance, it would have taken me much longer and affected my credit much worse.
I enrolled in Cambridge's credit counseling plan several years ago due to debt management problems. Cambridge counselors were always helpful and knowledgeable about any assistance I requested. Just last month, I made my final payment, which feels very good. Now, I can begin the long-awaited higher educational plans I had been postponing. Thank you so much, Cambridge Credit Counseling!
It took 5 years but I repaid every last cent of $33,000.00 to my creditors. Cambridge worked with me to help lower my interest rates and helped me every month to make my payment and keep me on track. It wasn't easy but I did it and I couldn't/wouldn't have done it without their help.
Upon speaking with Cambridge, we decided they could help us with our debt consolidation issues. They got our interest rate down on credit cards and was able to lump our payments into one manageable payment. They communicated with us on a regular basis and gave us updates. I would definitely recommend them!
Debt consolidation - Your services are great. You were always there when I had any kind of question. I would happily recommend your services to anyone I know in need of. Now that I’m done with our agreement, I now have the opportunities to do things I could not in the past. I would not have gotten out of my hole without you.
We have been a client for 5 years and are now making our last payment on over $80,000 of original debt. Cambridge's help has given us a whole new start on our financial life. We have been very pleased with all of the support we received from when we first structured our payment schedule through hard times when we needed to change our payment dates to match pay dates, on through to today. We have recommended Cambridge to others and will continue to do so. Thank you so much for all your help!
Cambridge Credit Counseling has been a life saver. There is no way I would be able to pay off my debts without them. They have been wonderful to work with and have gone out of their way to help when I needed to lower my payments due to unexpected expenses. They worked with my creditors and took care of everything.
Without their help, I would not have been able to pay my credit cards. I would like to retire in a few years and without Cambridge help, I would have never been able to retire. I am now on a budget and able to pay my bills without using credit cards to live on. The employees at Cambridge have great customer service and really care and want to help. I am really happy with my decision.
After working with Cambridge, seeing how they operated and reading the literature that was provided, I realized what I needed to do to take back control of my own credit. Although I canceled my service with them, they are part of the reason why my credit score has improved today. They lead by example!
We contacted Cambridge when we felt like we were drowning from credit card debt and it didn't seem like we would ever get them paid. But with the help of Cambridge, we joined their program and got all of our credit card payments combined and made one payment a month to Cambridge. And now 4 years later, we are credit card-free. They are all paid in full. Thank God and Cambridge.
I am very happy with the services I receive. Expenses were increasing and salary was not. The interest rates on credit cards went sky high and I was in serious trouble. CCC was able to put a plan together to reduce or even eliminate interest and make a payment schedule that I could manage. The staff (in particular Lavalle **) are outstanding to work with. I would highly recommend CCC.
I've been working with CCC since 2008. They've helped me manage a number of miscommunications and keep my payment plan on track even when money was really tight. I'm almost at the end now. In a few months, it will all be paid off. It feels great to be out from under this burden.
Interest rate reduction and bill payment program: Cambridge did a very professional job of contacting my creditors and working to reduce the interest rates on my credit cards to manageable levels. The staff was friendly and easy to work with when I had questions and I am delighted to say that I am now out of debt! I would strongly recommend them to anyone who wants to pay off their credit cards and retake control of their financial affairs.
With the help of Cambridge, I was able to pay off over $7000.00 of debt in 3 years. At first, they really worked with me and if ever I had any question, there was no problem getting help. The only thing I wished they had done was check in more with me. After the first year, I never heard from them, but I had no problem when I tried to get a hold of them.
Debt recovery was completed. I was referred by a colleague of mine who used your services to rid himself of a high credit card. It was the best match. Working with Jennifer helped me get over the hump and learn to make my life more manageable. I am very happy with the outcome and would pay it forward with introduction to anyone that was in the same experience.
I had lots of debt. I called Cambridge and talked to Chris. I set up a plan, paid off my debt (even paid off my debt and my car [not attached to debt] early). I now control my money and have savings and am able to do things I want. I know how much I have and how much I spend, and feel much better about myself. A big thank you to Cambridge.
Happy customer: I was recommended to Cambridge Credit by my best friend almost 4 years when times were not good for me financially. I had maxed out all of my credit cards and wasn't making my monthly payments on time. She told me about Cambridge Credit and how they combine all of your payments into just one payment a month. It sounded great, but I wasn't sure this was for me. But when desperate times called for desperate measures, I had to call. They thoroughly explained to me how they work and what I will be charged, and they sent me an information packet advising me how to manage my money better and even followed up with me every couple of months just to see how I was doing and if my financial situation has improved, worsened or stayed the same. At the end, they said it would take me 7 years to get out of debt. And I did it in 3 and a half! They helped me when I needed it most but didn't want to ask for it. Thank you!
I struggled with credit card payments for a long time, until I finally decided to seek help and get back on track. I contacted a debt specialist that connected me to a counselor from Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp. The options I was given have been very helpful and the counselor was very polite and patient. In fact, he was able to set up convenient monthly payments for my account. Since I sought help, I've been able to lower the remaining balances on my account which has been a big relief. I definitely would recommend these services to others who are seeking help for their debts.
We had over $50k in credit card debt with the APR at 32%. Every month I would get anxious when I had to pay them. Cambridge helps us establish a budget, drop our APRs, and deal with the collection agencies. We have been working on our debt for 48 months and in 4 more months we will be debt-free. We couldn't have done it without Cambridge. They are wonderful and tremendously helpful. Thanks!
I am in my final year of paying off all of my debt through the Cambridge program! I am really looking forward to the final payment. I have referred Cambridge to anyone whom I learn needs help. My cousin is a client and also thrilled to have her debt under control. Thanks.
I called Cambridge Credit because I was drowning in debt. They helped me get my debt under control. I will get out of debt. I have one monthly payment that I can afford. I will have a much brighter future, thanks to Cambridge Credit Counseling. I am also learning how to manage my money much better. I would definitely recommend Cambridge Credit Counseling to a friend.
I want to highly recommend Amy ** and her company Cambridge Credit Counseling Group (now partnering with Consumer Affairs.com). My situation is like many of the horror stories you hear in the news. I had refinanced my home to pay off debt prior to the mortgage crisis, against the advice of one of my children who questioned this type of loan. I went ahead and opted for the whole package that this nice mortgage person was offering me because they said they cared. While I was going to be paying double my previous mortgage payment, I was also hearing every expert tell me to eliminate as much debt as I can as I was nearing a particular age so I figured I was doing the right thing. I was able to afford the new monthly charge and hey, with this new mortgage, I would have paid off my outstanding debt and then have my home paid off in 15 years, still plenty of time to enjoy life, be debt free and owning my home as my largest asset.
Well, as you all can surmise, the bottom fell out professionally and personally and I was devastated. I was hoping I could figure it out and work through it but things got worse and worse and, finally, I thought I was going to lose my home. I hired a lawyer and not only was that of no help but the expense was an additional burden on my financial situation. I tried unsuccessfully to work with my mortgage company but the bureaucracy, continual shifting of people and conflicting responses were frustrating to say the least. I had resigned myself to accept that I was going to lose my home that I had worked so hard for or even become homeless. Then my prayers were answered in the form of Amy ** and the Cambridge Credit Counseling Group. I had worked with a few different companies that were calling and mailing me info about how they could help but when I followed up with them, either it was another financial burden to get them to work on my case or they gave me alternatives that were not favorable.
Dealing with Amy was like night and day. She was kind, resourceful, compassionate, pragmatic and able to navigate through the whole process. Any questions she herself could not answer, she quickly consulted with her supervisor (an unsung hero in my story) who had a direct relationship with my current mortgage company. Amy promptly responded with answers and the next course of action to take and I followed her instruction to the letter and then some. Had it not been for Amy ** and her company ... I shudder to even think. I cannot recommend Cambridge Counseling Group or Amy ** any more than the Highly Recommend option allowed here, but I can say they helped get my dignity back and give me peace of mind. Yes, they helped me in my particular situation but they did so much more. If you need their services call, write, or contact them, they are definitely worth the effort.
I found out about Cambridge through CNN Headlines News so I trusted their recommendation. I've already recommended Cambridge to my family members who are also struggling with debt. I found the counselors to be extremely helpful. They negotiated three very substantial debts for me: 1) a loan through my insurance company, 2) a credit card through Macy's (Citibank), and 3) a personal loan through Citibank. I came into debt while helping out my sisters. They thought they'd be able to repay me but were unable. I had also taken out a second mortgage to help them. Cambridge really came through for me. Thank you so much.
CCC helped me out after I went through a bad divorce & knee replacement surgery. It was a rough time to say the least! I spoke with Chris on the phone & he was so positive & encouraging. I chose CCC to sign on with. My debt will be paid off in 1 year now. It would have taken me 20 years to pay it off on my own! Everyone that I have spoken with has been very professional & helpful! I would highly recommend CCC to anyone struggling with debt! They really are a way out!
I came to Cambridge with over $50,000 in maxed out credit card debt. I was paying the minimum on each and getting nowhere. Cambridge was able to work with my creditors and lower the interest rates and combine all of my payments into one monthly payment that I could afford. It has taken three years, but I can now see the end of the tunnel, and I should be debt-free in a few more months. I never thought I would be in that situation, but it can happen to anyone. I am now able to contribute to my savings and retirement again, and I have done away with all of my plastics except my debit card. Cambridge was great to work with; they were understanding and presented me with my options without being pushy. I would recommend them to anyone.
I was totally satisfied with Cambridge Credit Counseling. They helped us out of a very difficult financial situation and we were able to combine all bills into one lower monthly payment. I also love the Good Payer aspect of the company. They help you to understand what got you into the financial "mess" in the first place.
I thank you for your kind help on paying my debt accounts and keeping me informed on the payments. I do like to see the balance on the accounts and know if it's going down, not just seeing what I send in and your company takes out. So far as I know, I got 3 more years to make payments?! Not much proof to show my wife. Thanks.
Amazing Service - The credit counselors at Cambridge Credit were incredibly sympathetic and helpful. Within 3 years, we cleared up our debt with regular consolidated payments. We fixed our credit and have now bought a house. They are wonderful people and I highly recommend this service to anyone who feels like they are drowning in debt.
I have nothing but excellence to say about Cambridge Credit Counseling. Over a decade ago, I experienced a life-changing event that required assistance from your company. In my first experience with your company, I paid off approximately $50,000 in credit card debt! Currently, I am in a much small debt relief program (about half of the original amount), and once again Cambridge has teamed with me to keep my bills paid. All employees of Cambridge are awesome, courteous, and very efficient. God bless you all. I have referred several people to you, and over the past decade I have nothing negative to say about Cambridge Credit Counseling.
Six years ago, we were facing high credit card interest fees. One of us was out of work and we knew we had to do something to stem the bleeding. So, we contacted Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp. on the advice of a family member who had also gone to them for financial advice. Today, we are no longer in debt to credit card companies, and can now put our money towards present day purchases, bills and someday soon we will be saving towards our future. It is a long-awaited relief!
Your company really helped me get my finances back where it should have been all along. It was a five-year struggle but it made me learn how to keep myself on a solid financial track. My FICO score right now is a 734. I am never late on a payment. I really never was to begin with but having more than one credit card payment was difficult. Having one nice payment for all my cards bundled with the lower interest rate really made the light at the end of the tunnel possible. I recommend Cambridge to all my friends because you gave me hope and I know you will give them hope too in order to get out of their situations. So thank you so much for all you did for me. Without you, I would still be paying those cards with no end in sight. Thank you!
They were very helpful when my income was reduced by 80% this year and I could no longer pay the agreed amount. I am living on my credit cards so I can pay the reduced amount. If the economy improves, my income will return to the level it was when I started the program, I hope.
Cambridge was recommended to me by two of my neighbors - and I'm so thankful that almost 5 years ago, I agreed to sign up. The interest rates on my credit card were getting insane to the point I wasn't able to pay the bill anymore! I love knowing that Cambridge helped me to get my payments down to a manageable amount, and allowed me to own up to my debt and pay my debtors. I'm so excited to be debt free soon!
This company has helped me lower my debt in as little as three years. Their fee is very fair and they send out newsletters with helpful hints. Their personnel are always friendly and eager to help in any way they can. I have been so happy with this company. I even recommended them to my brother and he is very happy. I first heard about them on the radio while I was driving to work and I contacted them immediately, one of the few smart things I have done. I am so glad that there are businesses out there that really care for the little guys. I cannot thank them enough. Within about six months, a debt of about $20,000 will be paid off and I can retire in the next two years without any worries.
We have had nothing but great experience with Cambridge. You do not need to be embarrassed or ashamed because you have money trouble with Cambridge. They treat you like a good friend and always have great advice. I am proud to say Cambridge helped my wife and me at a very rough time in our life.
My husband and I started our journey to being debt free a little over three years ago. We have never felt alone in this struggle because Cambridge has always been there to help. If we needed advice, to adjust the payment schedule or just answering a question, they were more than happy to assist us. Thank you, Cambridge!
I have been struggling with debt since my divorce. Cambridge Credit Counseling has helped me make true progress at budgeting my small salary. It was so satisfying this past month to need new progressive eyeglasses and be able to pay $488 in cash. I finally believe that I will get out of debt and hold on to my home.
From the first phone call to my most recent interaction with Cambridge, I've been nothing but pleased. All representatives of Cambridge that I've spoken to are always professional and pleasant to speak with. Now I am a few months away from being credit card debt free and couldn't be happier. Thank you for all that has been done.
We are very pleased with Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp. because it has helped us to try and recuperate our credit, even though right now we are not trying to get any new credit. We have been with Cambridge for about 10 or close to 10 years and they have really helped us and guided us to close some accounts. They also have worked with us to lower our payments when we are not able to cover the payment that we were paying prior to closing off some of the accounts. I would surely recommend and have recommended some of my family members to this program. Thank you, Cambridge, for all you do.
I have been working with Cambridge for around 4-5 years and will finally be done paying off the debts assigned to them in November this year. I have always received helpful service and suggestions and have saved thousands in interest. I recommend Cambridge to anyone, and in fact, I just had a co-worker sign up based on my referral.
I had gone through Cambridge before several years ago, and was extremely happy with the results and I knew I would have a great experience again. I recommended your services to my sister and she has since paid off debt also. I can't say enough about the professionalism and courtesy I have received and would recommend it to any member of my family or a friend.
I am very happy with my relationship with Cambridge. My counselor was knowledgeable, efficient, and very easy to work with. Every month, I am moving closer to my goal to be debt free, and I am even working on my personal savings account. I would recommend Cambridge to any friend or family needing help with debt consolidation.
I have only had a great experience with Cambridge Credit counseling. They took over because the original company I used for debt management went out of business. The fees were lower as well as my monthly payment. I successfully completed payment and then used them for another debt due to hardship. I never had a problem with the creditor receiving payment through Cambridge like I did with the original debt management program. A lot of budgeting and savings tools and aids were provided at no extra cost. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a debt management program.
I was a little disappointed that what I have ended up paying per month is about $120 more than was originally quoted. When I called to question it, I was told there was nothing really anyone could do. I also recently called with a question about a late fee I received on one of my credit cards and was told by the rude customer service person they hadn't made the arrangement with that company at that point, and there was nothing to be done. I felt like in the beginning I was given a lot of attention and help (the main reason I chose Cambridge over another company), and once I signed up, I haven't really received the same level of service.
Ever since we signed with Cambridge, we have been very happy with working with you. Every time I had a question or a problem of any kind, it was taken care of expertly and quickly. I would recommend you to anybody and I have recommended you to several people over the years. My husband and I have only positive things to say about this company. We speak very highly of you all. Thank you.
Cambridge provided an affordable way out of debt when I lost my home and my job in the same few weeks. I had bought my home and invested my life's savings in the home, equity that just disappeared. Within a few weeks, I had lost my home and my project manager position at the county of Nevada due to the recession. I had never missed a mortgage payment. I had great credit. I applied to the government through the HOPE counseling program 3 times, yet no relief at all. I'm still looking for full time work. I have a graduate degree and live in a rural part of California. It's been a very difficult several years now. Cambridge has helped me work through the debts, as best I can do.
Cambridge Credit Counseling has helped me with my debt so much! I am extremely happy with your services and have recommended so many people to call and ask about your services. If it weren't for Cambridge Credit Counseling, I would have been stressed every day and worrying that I would never pay off my debt. Thank you!
I was in a bad place and in over my head. I contacted Cambridge and within 24-48 hours, they had an agreement worked out where I paid one monthly bill that would make payments on all of my credit cards. What a relief! I have about another year or so and all of my credit cards will be paid off completely.
One word to describe Cambridge is Godsent! We were so far behind and thought all we could do was file bankruptcy. Watching TV on a Saturday morning changed everything! I called and got the sweetest person on the other end. The rest is history! Thank you, Cambridge, for saving us! You all are the best!
My husband and I just completed the program with Cambridge. We were extremely happy with them from beginning to end. They helped us get a good handle on our monthly payments and reduced our interest rates where they could. They were always prompt to handle any questions or concerns we had. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
I was $30,000 in debt and Cambridge helped us get out of a deep hole in credit card debt. They cut our rate by as much as half of the interest we were paying. We now are in better shape than we were before the program. We now have that extra money in our pockets instead of to the credit card companies. Thanks again!
I was in about $10,000 in debt! I fell behind in my bills and was really struggling! I searched online for a non-profit credit counseling service and I came across Cambridge Credit! I called and explained my situation and they said they could help! I gave the representative all my information and he set me up on an affordable plan! It was pretty fast and easy to set it all up. I continued on the plan for about two years. If I ever had questions or concerns about my account, I would call and the representatives were always kind and please to talk to. Very helpful and informative. Today, I finished my plan and am debt free! I recommended CC to my sister (Nicole **) who currently has a plan. All in all, Cambridge credit really helped me and I am very grateful to the company!
This experience has been a positive move for us to reduce our debt at a much lower interest rate in a shorter length of time. Cambridge staffers are courteous, very helpful in setting up the program, implementing the program and following up with the program. If there is a problem, it is easy to contact a real person and have it resolved. There is always follow-up to make sure all is well.
During a tough time in our life, Cambridge Credit Counseling was recommended to my wife and I by our financial advisor. We made an appointment, sat down with a rep and began to create a budget of our expenses. After this was completed, we were given the opportunity to consolidate our monthly bills. This helped my family get back on track. Thank you, Cambridge Credit Counseling.
We have had a pleasant experience with Cambridge. Our credit cards are almost all paid off and we are on our way to being debt free. I have recommended several people to use them to consolidate their debts. We have always had no problem if we needed our payment to come out a few days later than expected.
I researched many credit counseling and consolidation companies and found Cambridge Credit Counseling to be the most highly recommended. I was fortunate enough to speak with Chris ** when I phoned in for information. I have been able to pay off almost all my debt. I began with $33,000 and now owe less than $1,500. At one time, I was even selected to be in an infomercial for this company! I continued to highly recommend this company to friends, relatives, and colleagues. Soon I will be debt free. Cambridge C.C. really helped take the stress out of debt!
I accumulated several credit cards over the years. Cambridge helped me acquire reduced rates on all but one credit card so I could start paying them off. All the accounts were closed. I arranged for a monthly electronic payment to Cambridge and two years later, two cards have been paid off and balances are being reduced. It's a great feeling and I can see an end to my experience with revolving credit and very high interest rates.
Like many other families, I found myself in trouble after 2008. I researched credit councilors one after another. If convoluted contracts didn't chase me away, fees
did. Who wants to add debt on top of debt? Eventually, I found Cambridge Credit Counseling over the radio, recommended by a well-liked radio host. I called. It was simple, and I was dealing with a non-profit company. Perfect! In four years, they not only helped me with my immediate troubles, but the advice they gave me has my family back living a comfortable life. I was actually able to pay off my cards ahead of schedule. I love to give details but I only have 50 words. Call them.
I had great success with Cambridge. Not only were they able to help me pay off my credit card debt, they also helped me by providing information on how to improve credit and how to budget. With this information, I was able to make ends meet without the use of credit cards and was able to save money to have an emergency fund. I no longer have to live from paycheck to paycheck.
I have been a client of CCC for four years. I was ready to rebuild my credit and contacted CCC to request a letter for my creditors to apply for a small loan. The letter was emailed to me within two hours. I submitted the letter to my credit union and was approved a $500 line of credit to help me rebuild my credit.
I have two more payments. I have been with Cambridge for over five years. It was really tough at first because I had to follow a budget. We made it through. Our credit is better than ever. I am on a routine budget where it does not take much thought anymore. I do not know what I would have done if I did not call Cambridge. Thank you for always being there and helping me through. Now the real test comes, being on my own. I feel like I am losing a parent. I will miss you.
They handled my accounts in professional manner. They notified the companies and got them to agree to lower my interest rates, all at a reasonable monthly fee and paid off all my credit cards. To which, I am very grateful. I would recommend Cambridge to all who are having difficulties in paying off credit card debt. Thank you very much!
I have and will continue to recommend CCCC. I was referred to them by my boss and I was finally over being in debt and knew I had to do something immediately and vow to never get myself in debt again. From the second I spoke with Mr. **, I knew this was going to be the answer that I was looking for. Everyone that I dealt with from my initial discussions with Mr. ** to everyone in client services treated me with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. I was told how the process works. They answered all my questions and once I completed my part of the process, everything was effortless until my debt was clear. CCCC's process made it possible for me to be able to pay off my debt and also not be destitute at the end of the month during the time period it took to clear my debt. I am happy to say that I have not incurred any debt since. I have nothing but good memories of the entire process and have nothing but good things to say about this organization.
I have been an active client with Cambridge for a few years now and they have helped me tremendously. I only have less than 1 year left on the program and I will be debt-free. Thanks to them, I have also been able to purchase my first home. If you need advice about your credit card bills and finances or just to learn how to budget properly from month to month, I would definitely recommend you contact Cambridge. I look forward to the next few months when I will be debt-free and I can start to put more money into savings for my son's college expenses.
I found Cambridge Credit online. I knew I needed some help getting some arrangements made with getting some bills paid so I contacted them. They were able to lower my interest rate. And they were very easy to get a hold of. Working with Cambridge has made it possible to get rid of the collectors calling and get the bills paid up. They were very professional and very easy to work with.
I believe my husband heard about Cambridge Credit Counseling from a friend. I believe that’s how it came about. We went straight to them. We were not feeling so good. Overwhelmed with our debt and just really worried what we’re going to do.
Working with Cambridge has been a very positive experience. They were able to lower our interest rate. We paid off the balance that we owed. Our credit counselor was easy to contact. A couple of times, I had to contact them and they were always easy to work with and answered my questions thoroughly. The people I spoke with on the phone were always very friendly and very knowledgeable. And things are just better for us now.
I have had a total of 19 plus emails with John. I am angry in that he got all of our personal information. We signed an agreement and he then told me of the dates we could have the withdrawal from our account. I felt the dates should have been mentioned prior to John completing the info. I told him the date he had placed on the forms we completed was not a good time of month. I am very angry John told me he had to change a code on the form. We were unable to get the form with the new code on my email. I finally gave John a new email; he sent the same form and then told me the code I gave him was not correct. This has been going on for over a week. I am ready to move on and want nothing further to do with John **. I believe this type of business should be done in face to face meetings, but when I called a local number in the area we live in somehow we got linked to Cambridge Credit Counseling. I googled this company and found this company has many complaints against it. I am concerned because they have our personal information now and nothing has been done to assist us.
I paid Cambridge Debt counselors over $500 to help with my bills and to get me started in the program. I ended up filing bankruptcy anyway. Then I received a card that they were in a lawsuit and my money would be sent back to me. I have never heard anything else. I would appreciate someone email me and let me know.
I paid Cambridge Credit Counseling Corporation over $500.00 a month for over a year and none of that money went to any of the accounts they were supposed to be paying?? I had to go to court and got a judgement filed against me for not paying one of the accounts. I received $35.00 from the class action suit against them????? I paid them over $5000.00 dollars in a year and I get $35.00 what the hell is the deal with that??????
I contacted CCC for credit consolidation. I got a single postcard in the mail stating a class action suit. That was the only thing I have heard about it and never got another notice and have never been contacted again. What the heck. I would like to get my reimbursement. Thank you very much.
I went with this company some time ago and my credit was ruined because of it. They failed to pay my bills for 3 months, even though I paid them the contracted amount which was over $800 a month. I finally had to refinance my home in order to pay all of my debt off. I then started receiving information about the class action lawsuit. The last correspondence I received was a postcard. The date on it is December 15, 2008. I know it has been settled on behalf of the plaintiffs and I want to know when I will get my percentage of the award?
I signed up through their consolidation program and $401.00/month for 3 years, including a $25/month fee to them. In the end, I still owed all of the debt. I had to go to collections with one company and am still trying to pay the others. According to the two companies, they never received a dime, even though I have copies of all of the bank checks paid to Cambridge.
I joined the Cambridge Credit Counseling. I had a lot of problems with them paying my debts. I still ended up doing bankruptcy and did not know what they were doing. I received a notice of class action and was furious that they did this to me. I am still wondering if I am going to be reimbursed the money I lost. How do I find out about this? I was with them for a long time. I thought I was helping my credit by doing this, instead it did not help me at all, and my credit score was ruined anyway more than it was. Will you let me know what to do?
I have used them to consolidate debt twice. Once in 1997 or so and then again in 2000 or 2001. I'm sorry I'm not sure. They were paid in full both times from a refinance of my home. I do not believe that Circuit City was ever paid in full due to being sold to a collection agency. That job to make sure that they were paid was up to the debt consolidation company. To this day, I don't know if all the money that I paid to them were paid to my debts. And to make it worse, the amount they charge you to get started - that is so hard too. I would love to see where all the money that I have given to Cambridge Credit Counseling even went where it was supposed to go.
I paid money and they did not pay my debts on time and I am unsure of some payments at all were made. They told me to refer all debtors to them and not pay and charged me a fee of around $90.00 to get started. The rep said this was a one-time charge. It has been about five years now but I still have some documentation. I received a postcard on a class action lawsuit against them and have heard nothing else.
I have been a client of Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp for 4 1/2 yrs and they have been taking the payments from account faithfully for that period of time, they for the most part have done what they originally said they would do, until around August when I began receiving calls from creditors that were listed with them. My payments aren't being made on time and they are late when they do make them. I have 1 creditor who is paid in full but gets the payment each month and returns it to Cambridge, but I never see it distributed to any of the remaining creditors.
The fact of the matter is I have been calling Cambridge since mid August and no one ever answers the phone, it's an automated message that everyone uses...(if you want this, press this), but when you get to the customer service part, no one ever picks up. I desperately need to speak to someone at Cambridge about my acct. At this point, I have no clue what's going on with my funds or what's going on at Cambridge. If someone could email me info on how to contact someone there, I would really appreciate it. My money is being withdrawn each month, and I'm getting calls from creditors and 3 of my creditors dropped me from the program because of Cambridge not paying them on time. I'm truly fed up and just need to speak to someone. Is the company closed?
A few years back, I had a string of bad situations that ran up my credit cards. I was making my payments okay, but I wanted to consolidate them so I could make one payment monthly, instead of 3 or 4. I became a client of Cambridge Credit Counseling and from that moment on, I went downhill. I kept telling my sister that there was something terribly wrong there, my payments kept changing (increasing). I just began to have real bad feelings that there was something terribly wrong there. I finally called my personal counselor (do not remember his name) and complained to him on what I thought was happening.
I almost passed out cold when his voice got real low and told me he thought it would be best for me to file bankruptcy. For starters, isn't it a little odd, that your counselor at the debt consolidation company was actually telling you to file bankruptcy? I had no choice because I had NO money left for anything else. So, not only did my credit go down the tubes now I was really broke. I support myself, only have 1 paycheck to survive on and they steal from me. What really burns me is that they are still advertising to guarantee to help people get out of debt. How may other people's lives are going to be destroyed or very nearly destroyed before these crooks are stopped?
I joined CCC about 3 1/2-4 years ago because I needed to consolidate some delinquent accounts and get them paid off quicker. CCC said it would take about 3 years to do this. According to their contract, they were not supposed to take the money out of my account prior to the 14th of each month, unless the 14th fell on a weekend or holiday. However, it seems that their own contract means nothing to them as they take their money out of my account whenever they choose. As the account I use for CCC is not my primary account, I deposit the money for CCC into that account prior to the 14th, therefore if they take the money out early - I end up being charged overdraft fees.
Additionally, I have requested on several different occasions for a time frame as to when my debt will be paid in full and they can NEVER give me a straight answer. They always tell me that they would need to see copies of my monthly statements from the credit accounts. Am I missing something? Aren't they the ones who set up the payment arrangements in the first place? Wouldn't they have this information and the ability to look it up? I still have roughly $2000 left to pay on my accounts after 3 1/2 - 4 years of paying almost $200 a month. I thought CCC was supposed to be a free consumer debt relief company - so how come they can get away with charging a monthly fee? I have paid almost $200 a month for (conservative estimate) 3 years that amounts to $6156. Why isn't CCC's monthly fee disclosed on the statements they send out each month?
I was with them for over 5 years and they almost ruined me and my credit. I trusted them to help me but by the time I found out that Cambridge wasn't, it was too late.
Our son died in 1996 in his sleep at the age of 19. Reason for death was never found although 2 autopsies were performed. At this time we needed money for burial expenses and turned to credit cards. Prior to this we had never used them. In our grief over the next few years we overspent our budget and it quickly got out of control. I became physically disabled in 1991 and have been on disability ever since. When the payments on the cards became more than we could handle I was looking for some way of consolidating our credit card debts and saw their name on the back of a Christian magazine and thought they would be upfront.
We had to pay a fee upfront and then a monthly fee up front which meant our monthly payments increased. They didn't tell us that we would be basically going into bankruptcy. They were late with our payments of approx.$1000 per month. They said they were free but charged us approx. $100 per month. They did absolutely no credit counseling. It took our credit rating down so low that we finally were able to pay them off in a few years by refinancing our home. Only a federal bank would accept our loan and threatened us every month that our house would be taken away if we didn't make timely payments. We had perfect credit until this time.
We have worked hard to get our credit back where it was. Because of this and the housing problems going on, we are barely able to make our house payments and still eat. As of now, we are in an interest only loan and we still may lose our home if things don't get better. We can't even sell our house besides the fact that houses aren't selling, the value has dropped on our house and we wouldn't make enough out of it to purchase something else. It's all a rebound effect. Our bad judgement in a time of need and their ability to steal our money and credit. We also adopted our granddaughter when our son died. The Credit cards were also used to help us do that. Now we have a 14-year-old daughter to take care of. It's hard to tell her we can't buy her things she needs. I still have everything in a file if it is useful at all to anyone else that has been scandaled.
The huge up front fee the extra handling fees every month after 4 years of paying on something i was told would take 2 years to pay off I finally inherited some money to pay it all off, and they RUINED my credit then i hear about the lawsuit I filled out the paperwork, and I never heard another word. Who got the settlement they are talking about WHEN WILL I GET MINE?
My credit was ruined and they ripped me off
I want to be included in the restitution. I had to file bankruptcy because they misled me into thinking they could help me pay off all my bills.
Bankruptcy.
When my wife and I joined CCC we were told the same as many other people. We had a high upfront fee to join, endless empty promises. After joining, we received several threatening phone calls inquiring about why we had missed 6 months of payments and our credit score plummeted and we couldn't get financed for anything without paying an astronomical finance charge. I made numerous phone call and emails with no success. When we finally got out of CCC we were in more debt then than when we started and was out of a tremendous amount of money. I would love to know if there some sort of legal action I could pursue.
Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp. has undergone a significant restructuring of our operation over the last several years, and we feel it in the best interest of the consumers we are charged to assist that we share the news of our progress.
The changes Cambridge implemented during these last three years are more than simple upgrades to the services we provide; they are evidence of our continuing commitment to consumers, and of our determination to demonstrate leadership in an industry that is under considerable scrutiny. As a result of Cambridges commitment to service, the Better Business Bureau of Central New England reinstated our membership in early 2007.
The first step in our restructuring efforts was to revamp our Board of Directors, because it ensured the appropriate oversight of the reform measures that followed. Our Board now consists of independent community leaders, prominent business executives and citizen representatives.
Among the first actions the new Board took together was the total separation of all company ties to John and Richard Puccio, and with the for-profit affiliates they had created. Since then, the Board has also established distinct Governance, Audit, and Executive Compensation committees to ensure that Cambridge continues to operate within the spirit of our charitable mission.
Cambridge has worked diligently to successfully resolve all past issues related to the business practices of our prior management. This approach has led to the amicable resolution of all litigation. There are no pending actions and consumer complaints are virtually non-existent. New policies, including a 90-day cancellation feature and a consumer friendly grievance policy have been adopted in the last few years.
In January of 2001 I paid Cambridge too consolidate debt and for monthly payments to be made to may consumers. This never happened and Cambridge kept my money.
I was contacted concerning a class action settlement, I returned all documention I was mailed along with copies from the original papers in my files from 2001. To thtis day I have never heard any thing else from Cambridge and the settlement. I would like to know what happened and why I have never recieved anything from the settlement?
Failure to comply with the agreement that I had with Cambridge to consolidate my credit caused me to lose money and more problelms with my credit and creditors. I really feel I deserve to be included in this settlement and that my money should have been refunded years ago.
I paid them for three and a half years. When I started paying them I was 41,000 in debt. When I stopped paying them I still had $37,520 outstanding. I then joined CCCS in Washington and in three years and 2 months my debt was paid off.
They told me that they would help me reestablish my credit. With a low interest rate. They took out $250.00 out of my checking account. I have tried to call all I get is an recording and i leave messages and they still will not call me back.
I have subscribed with Cambridge Credit Counseling in Dec 2005, and they set up a monthly amount of $279.00, recently I have checked up my credit report and I found out that my payment was late for six consecutive months from March, 2006 to August 2007.
I called the customer representative many times and explained them the situation but no help or response.
Finally I spoke to the manager personally and explained to her my concerns and she promised me to resolve the issue as soon as possible which never happened.
Because of the late payment on our credit report we couldn't sell our house and buy new car. Also we are paying $27 monthly fee to Cambridge Credit to process our payment on time.
We couldn't get any loan, because our score is around 600 or under and if we get it the APR is going to be too high. When we signed up the contract, the customer service representative told me that if I signed up with them my credit score should go up as long as I am making payment on time and should increase my credit score.
I signed a 59-month agreement with Cambridge Credit Counseling. I have never missed a payment and took it upon myself to completely pay off two of the four creditors covered under the agreement. One of the remaining creditors was sold to another company.
I experienced nothing but confusion and shock dealing with Cambridge. They bounced me back and forth in an effort to change dates/amounts, etc. After four years, one of those balances is almost as much as when I started. I paid $544 up front and a monthly fee to Cambridge being told that professionals are managing your accounts and instead of sending out countless checks each month, you make one simple payment ot us and we will take care of the rest -- they sure did!
Additionally, I was told that my balances would be reviewed by Cambridge annually, so that we can confirm that your balances are decreasing according to your debt repayment schedule. That never happened!
We have been at Cambrdige Counseling for 3 years- we had to pay 1,806 up front and paid 180 a month (processing fee) that has recently been reduced to 50.00- so all and all Cambridge has taken 6,126 in processing fees in the last 3 years and my accounts have barely gone down. I was also told that my accounts would be paid off in 3 years- we are going on 3 1/2 with no end in site and we have been told by Cambridge that if we leave all the money that we have been towards our balances would be for nothing becuase our interest rates will go back up to 22%!- I did file the paperwork for the lawsuit but I have not heard anything yet. Please help.
we have been using ccc for about 5years now and it has worked for us and we have almost finished all are bills they worked on.
I was told I cambridge credit would cut high interest rates on my credit card.
After a few months I noticed my late fees. Discover card froze my account. Sears want let me us their credit card either. So I felt it was best if I paid the credit cards myself instead of Cambridge credit. The fees were hurting & the high interest rates did not go down.
Its hurt my with Discover card services and sears. Now I can not use theses credit cards at all.
My husband and I were ripped off by this company. We paid $429 per month for two years and many of our debts increased instead of decreased. We did recieve a form for the class action suite--but unfortunately misplaced it before it got mailed back.
I have been a client of Cambridge since 2002 and they told me at the time I signed up that it would only take me 2 years to pay off my debt. It has been over 4 years and I am still paying them. My balances have barely gone down on the credit cards. I received a document to send in to an attorney regarding the lawsuit against Cambridge stating that I was eligible to receive money back from the suit. But I have lost the paper and need to receive another one. Can you help me with this?
My credit looks worse than when I signed up with them and I'm still paying on the cards!!!
In 2001, the financial advisors The Dolans recommended Cambridge Credit Counseling on one of the network morn ing shows. I was trying to get out of debt and to make it quicker, I called them and signed up. At the time I did this, I had excellent credit and was paying my bills on time, but they promised lower interest rates and the ease of one payment.
After a couple of years of creditors calling saying they had not received my payment even though I made it, I dropped out of their program and started paying them back. My cards are higher than ever even though they are closed out and my credit is completely wrecked. I have had to get loans against my house, etc. and there is no end in sight. I regret the day I ever signed up with them.
I am in the US Air Force and was moved to South Florida for my assignment. Since being here we fell behind on some of our bills. I received an email about debt consolidation and replied to it.
A few days later a gentleman called me. He explained the company and the program to myself. We gathered all our bills and monthly statements together. I faxed all the information requested by the company. Within hours Forrest called me and stated they could help me, and that he needed $964.00 to start. And that all of our creditors would be contacted. This was June 27.
He also stated that the money had to be in the form of a money order or cashiers check, that it could not be a personal check. We sent this company our money, hoping that our worries would be over soon. However, creditors continued to call us about a payment. We told them that it was being handled by Cambridge Credit Counseling. We also gave them the name and number of the company.
After about a month creditors were still calling. Most of the creditors said they were never contacted by Cambridge, by letter or phone, and that they could not talk to anyone at the number, no one would return their call. I also called and was unable to speak to anyone, I left several messages on Forrest's voicemail but he never returned my call. Cambridge actually hurt me more than they helped. I paid them $964.00. What happened to my money? After all this it actually got me and my family even further behind on our bills. I have yet to hear from this company.
