I am very surprise with the excellent customer service within this company from the moment I was talking to the sales rep to the moment I had to call back to cancel my order because of signal problems. The sales rep was very professional and not pushy, I personally hate when people try to push me into something. **, the customer service rep was very professional as well, clarified some doubts I had and was very patient with me. The technician who came to my home was honest and professional letting me know I was wasting my time since the location to install my antenna was not good to catch a signal. The CSR girl who helped me today to cancel my order did not give me a hard time and was very helpful. Too bad I couldn't keep my service with you guys. Thanks a lot!

After having some concerns about an independent installer and order that was made, I was relieved after speaking to an actual representative from DIRECTV. All questions and concerns I had were immediately addressed and I was very confident and pleased with my choices and experience after the conversation ended. I would ALWAYS recommend that anyone who is interested, only go directly through the actual DIRECTV number and NOT an independent installer. Less worry and definitely shows up at actual scheduled install time. Thank you!

I called in to reschedule an installation date with DirecTV. The customer representative was kind. He asked about my day. Then asked what I needed assistance on. I addressed my issue. He professionally and quickly got it rescheduled for me. Then he asked if I had any other issues or concerns. I said "thanks but that was my only issue I needed resolved." The representative was so kind and professional. I would recommend this service to my friends.

I was personally greeted by a personable man that proved how excited he is about working for the best cable/satellite carrier in the nation. Customer is a dying art nowadays and DIRECTV proved to me it's still a high priority for them. If you read my survey, it was such a frustrating experience no matter who I spoke to including supervisors until I got ** in customer service. He took a very stressful situation and glided through it and straightened everything out. As soon as I am at the 30 day window of time, I will schedule an installation. If it was not for my son using DirecTV, might have gone elsewhere however he is so pleased as I am sure I will be. Hope this information and review prior to this page is helpful.

My internet was disconnected same day of my installation appointment. I was told not to worry I could still enjoy every except pay per view. I was very excited to hear that. And I thought I need to pay more than my deposit at the time of installing but no I would be bill in 15 days. Enough time to pay them and my internet. Thanks DirecTV.

I signed a 2 yr contract with DirecTV in Iowa City, IA last year. After 1 yr around Jan 2015, I called to cancel my services and told their agent I was doing so because I was RELOCATING to Dallas TX. The agent TOLD me I could suspend my account for a couple of months so as to avoid paying the $ 200.00 early termination fee and get the service when I need it. I therefore carried all their equipment with me to Dallas. I said I wanted the service at my new place after about 3 months, after I got settled. The agent DIDN'T ask me the new address of my new place of relocation and, as a customer, I thought the company had my e-mail so they could communicate to me later.
Around Apr 2015, they sent a reminder to my old address that they were about to activate my TV. Later, they send a bill of $ 72.00 to same address. Luckily, just by coincidence, I visited same place in May for a graduation and found the 2 letters. I came back to Dallas and I complained to them. Later, I received a bill of $248.75 in my new Dallas mailbox. I called and complained. The agent I talked to asked me to write and lodge a complaint to billing dept in Colorado about the issue, which I did. They sent me a letter asking me to call them. I did call and explained them the circumstances. They did nothing to that bill. I returned all their equipment. I was still bitter and I called to pay their bill but found out it was now $ 280.00. Reason was that they activated the TV in Iowa City, IA!!!!
I called and asked them if they could activate the TV in Dallas without an address and they said they couldn't. Why then do they want me to pay for their mistake of not contacting me at my proper current address? Why didn't they even use my e-mail address to ask me if I was ready for the service at my new address in Dallas, TX. It is really painful to be told to pay for services which I didn't use at all. I called several times to complain and I have exhausted all my avenues of complaint to them as all they are after is my money and they don't want to reason and accept their mistake. I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I have gone through.

I communicated via chat line to report that I was not receiving service. After trying to resolve this online, the agent said a service call was required. I agreed to pay for the call of $49.95, but I did not want to sign up for the service agreement. I was told that the earliest time someone could come out was in 12 days! Twelve days!! I have had cable, U-verse, and dish services. Never have I had to wait more than a couple of days for service. So, if I had paid for signed up for their service plan, I would get faster service? This is pathetic customer service. Can't wait for Google service in my town.

Yesterday I was a satisfied customer and today I'm the exact opposite. Last night a stupid 10 minute "storm" knocked my service out. No TV all night. Get up early & call them first thing. I have to leave for work at 1:30 & all they can tell me is between 12 & 4 they can send someone. So more likely than not no TV till tomorrow morning. NOT HAPPY about that. So while I have them on phone it's a week or two till I have had service for a year & was told after a year I could get free dvr upgrade, so I ask about it. Guy comes back & says I'm not eligible till Feb., & says it's every 2 years - either way began service in JULY, & have been told by more than 1 person I could get it after 1 year. Then to top it off website says watch direcTV on any device. So I go on computer & only thing I can watch is pay per view movies. Wtf? Bunch of liars.

I contacted you and chose a package that was fitting for our home and ordered it. The installation did not happen on the scheduled date, nor did I receive a phone call stating that it wasn't going to occur. I had to contact DirecTV to get resolution to that. Installation was resolved the next day.

The overall process of getting service with Century Link and DirecTV has been very difficult as they are two totally separate companies trying to bundle services. My initial order with CL which included DTV was bungled because I was out of town and without phone coverage and could not respond to CL's call. Consequently the DTV service was dropped. I had to add it back on with a series of calls. But the quality of service and knowledge exhibited by DTV has been good.

The Genie Wifi is crap. Keeps dropping signal. When I call customer service, they keep giving me a runaround and I can not tell you how many times they have told me to reset my system. Two boxes and several service calls later and still no resolution. Every time (EVERY TIME!!!) the representative on the phone say "My Genie works fine" but I am not trying to get theirs to work - MY GENIE WIFI does not work. Just to put in perspective every (EVERY!!!) other device in my home works outstanding, absolutely no problems at all. THE GENIE WIFI IS CRAP!!!
The company called me back with what they say is a tier 4 Representative but immediately I realized that they would not help me when all they did was have me reset the system for the 25th time (AGAIN AND AGAIN). Now the Genie won't even remain connected to WIFI for more than 20 Seconds. Do Not Believe the HYPE - the GENIE Receiver is crap and seems to only work for company personnel. As for the consumer the in company motto seems to be "We will get to it when we feel like it."

I cancelled DIRECTV 10 days after it was installed and was charged a $460 early termination fee. I switched my internet, phone and cable plan to lower my monthly cost. I signed up for DIRECTV because the internet and phone carrier I switched to did not have a cable plan available in my area. DIRECTV was installed on Friday, May 29. When we looked at the bill there was a $7.99 charge for insurance, which hadn't been brought up when I asked about the overall cost of their system. Unrelated to DIRECTV, I also realized we needed to upgrade the internet to maintain a level of access similar to what we had prior to the switch. When I recalculated the cost of the new provider, which included the increased cost for internet, the DIRECTV insurance cost and the cost of DIRECTV, which increases in the second year of the contract, I realized we'd end up paying more, so I decided to switch back to our previous provider.
My in-laws were staying at our house with our kids the week after we switched because my wife went with me on a business trip. We decided to wait to switch back to our previous carrier until we were back in town, Monday, June 8, so our in-laws wouldn't have to deal with it. When I called the new internet and phone provider and explained why we were cancelling, they cancelled the contract without issue. They clearly did not want us to cancel, but they indicated their window for new customers to cancel is 30 days. When I called DIRECTV and explained why we were canceling they told me there was a $20/month early cancellation fee, so we would be charged $460. I was told their window for new subscribers to cancel is 24 hours. This timeframe is unrealistic, especially since the DIRECTV technician told us that the Genie and the mini Genies will need to update and synchronize so we'll experience some glitches in the first 24 hours.
I've spoke with 3 people from DIRECTV, each at a higher level in their "customer service" organization and received the same response, I owed a $460 fee for early cancellation. Needless to say, I will NEVER consider DIRECTV based on their inflexibility. I understand there are costs associated with installing the system, but to charge the full fee when the cancellation happened within such a short period of time is extremely excessive.

When I called DirecTV, it is an automated answering system and I was on hold for a long period of time before I actually got to speak with a live person. Once that irritation was over, I was very pleased with the representatives of your company. They were very apologetic when I mentioned the long wait.

I absolutely love Directv. The representatives are helpful and answer questions efficiently. With Directv, I've always felt it was more personal, and I've tried other services like Dish and Charter. Directv overall has the best customer service, and I mean... who can beat NFL Sunday ticket.

I called because we received information about the customer referral bonus after we signed up for service. The customer service agent easily added it in for us. She was extremely competent and efficient. The whole call took 4 minutes, if that. More than excellent service.

I would recommend DirecTV to anyone. Everyone was so courteous and patient. I had others and was very unhappy with the others. The technician that done the installation was very careful and explained everything he had done. It was done very neatly. He was very professional and polite.

When I subscribed, I was TOLD by Directv representative that all 3 of my friend referrals would be accredited for 30 months. When I called back the second time with their information, I was denied what he promised.

I had to cancel our order because it was going to involve a big move of furniture. Two of the TVs would have been wireless, as the technician recommended, but the other was too overwhelming to consider. The representative understood. The technician was a great help too.

DirecTV installer only wanted to screw the dish to my house. I have a pole installed specifically for the dish. I waited for 3 consecutive mornings to get the dish installed on the pole. I was told several lies by the installers why the dish had to be screwed to my house. The last morning no one showed up even though we received 2 calls confirming the appointment. Then I found a charge on my bank account from DirecTV. Sorry sorry sorry service.

I called DIRECTV and switched service from Cox to DIRECTV and I'm very glad I did. I was paying $300 a month for Cox and not getting near half of the services I am now getting from DIRECTV. I have had service with Comcast and Cox and can say DIRECTV has superior customer service in comparison to the other Cable companies. I am satisfied with my service and wish I would have switched a long time ago!

Very good experience with DIRECTV. Called Verizon about slow download speeds (3.0 mbps). I wanted to upgrade but found it is "not available". Very disappointed! I'LL see how it works... If not good, I will not recommend switching to satellite. Verizon said it may get better in the future, somehow I doubt it. A weak spot!

I have had DirecTV for approximately 5 years. My bill continued to go up & up. I called them to see what they could do and the price quoted was actually higher than what I was already paying. I canceled my account through CenturyLink and paid what I thought was my final bill. A month later I'm receiving another bill from DirecTV charging me for an extra month of service I didn't receive.

Had initially contacted Direct to inquire about possibly subscribing; this contingent upon current provider rectifying some issues. The issues were rectified and so we elected to stay with current provider. However, our experience with Direct was pleasant and very professional. The techs were friendly and did an excellent job setting up the dish, the cable and programming the TV. I was very pleased with the installation. However, I was not pleased with the communication between the sales rep. who took the information for the installation because she misinformed me that I was getting a bundle in one installation. The techs were also misinformed and directed me to call a number to correct the problem.
