The installer was terrific. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient in setting up the equipment. The TV picture quality is superb!! There are a lot of channels to choose from. Only had one day. Love it so far and can't wait for football season (NFL Ticket)!!!

Ordering DIRECTV was not as enjoyable as it could have been. The call to Customer Service was enjoyable and very helpful as it should be. The lady was trained very good.

Sale people assured me that I can get the S.F. Bay area package in the mountains above Sonora Ca. Long Barn Ca. 95335 with Bay area Channels. Talk to a Manager - said only get the package in the Zip Code that the Cabin is. We use the cabin only about 15 times a year. DirecTV misrepresentation of the whole Sale was very disappointing. I will say the picture on our new 50" TV is sharpest picture I've ever seen. I had one woman even go over the Bay area what I would get. And line by line the cost, she was right on. I would Love to get call ** from upper Manager. Thank you for your time.

I was not informed that if the dish was not mounted on top of my residence there would be a $75.00 charge to mount it in my yard on a steel post. I did not want it on the top of my home. Me and the service technician worked it out and I was very satisfied with him and his work.

We signed up for DIRECTV. Was told to call AT&T for internet and phone but in Connecticut AT&T does not do this any longer. When we tried buying these two products from another vendor along with DIRECTV the price was too high for us, being that we are on a fixed income. Thank you.

Because we live on a fixed income (Social Security), we encountered a situation after we applied for DIRECTV that precluded our continuing our service. We like Direct, and if things improve at some point in the future, we would like to return. Thank you for understanding.

I just started a new account with DirecTV. Installation was handled professionally and accurately. When I needed to get my account number for creating an account online they were very helpful and skilled. Overall I would say they did extremely well.

My 2 year contract was up when I had a receiver go bad. They sent me a new one. They kept charging me monthly for the broken one. Also, they put me in another 24 month contract which I didn't realize or approve.

I needed to change date for installation and the service rep. took care of that. He was a little too chatty asking about favorite football team, etc. Mostly I just want efficient, quick service on the phone, not a lot of extra talk. That would be my recommendation - keep it simple, professional and expedient.

Everyone has been very professional. Only improvement item I recommend is: Improve the unreliable phone contact w/ Sam's Club DirecTV. I held 3x at 11 mins each… and was disconnected every time. Installer said that happens all the time w/ Sam's Club DirecTV CS #.

I had some issues with only one rep, I took the last customer service rep, to answer and fix the problem I was having because of miscommunication or lack of info. Everybody else, installer, sales rep and customer service have been great!!

Although the initial order of service was more time consuming than I had expected, the customer service rep was knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me with choosing the package that would better fit my family's needs. The field tech, Daniel, arrived when he said he would, was very knowledgeable about the equipment, installed the equipment we had ordered and explained each function. He was courteous and upbeat and seemed to enjoy his job... which is rare these days. He did an awesome job! Being a first time customer of any satellite company provider, overall I am very satisfied with the entire Directv experience.

I'm thinking it may be a good idea to have a tree pruning/removal service that can work with your company for those would be clients that have a line of sight issue to overcome. Not necessarily FREE, but cheaper to the client through subsidies?

Horrible service. I moved and it's been over a month and still haven't been able to get them to transfer the service even though they keep on charging me monthly when I can't even watch any tv. They charged me $150 just to transfer the service, tech showed up on 7/9/15 and said he couldn't get any signal. He told me that he would cancel the service himself but didn't. I called customer service just to confirm and was told that if I wanted to cancel I had to pay over $300 on cancellation fees, when it isn't my fault that I can't get any service. Said that they had to send another tech and will call to schedule the appointment within 24 hrs. It's 7/16/15 and no one called. Meanwhile, they keep on billing. Horrible Service.

While my interaction with DeJuan was great, I can't say that for every one I spoke with. I did have pleasant but long conversations with Charlotte in the SC office and David in the NC office. But I hung up on 3 of your reps because of their rudeness and/or being pushy.

DirecTV agents were helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional even when we had a lot of questions about what we were getting into. Ultimately, my husband made the decision to stay with our current cable provider and even in calling to cancel the installation, I got nothing but friendly and helpful service. I am impressed.

The tech had driven a long way but he was very upbeat and nothing seemed to affect that. Sales had not asked about metal roof so a roof mount was not an option. This made it harder for the tech but he wasn't fazed. He went over all the options available. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He worked with us within guidelines and we were very pleased. Awesome guy!! Best install we've had!!

Called in to simply cancel my free 3 months of HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz. Was on hold 20 minutes before an agent answered. Agent was named Ozzy. I said "I just need to cancel the free movies." He said "Bear with me." Comes back asking me to get a sports pack. I said "Don't need it." He says "Ok your monthly bill is now just 103.79." I said "Not possible. I just signed up and my bill is to stay at 78.99 a month plus I referred 3 friends which is 30.00 a month off so it should be 48.99 plus my tax." He says "I applied your discounts and canceled the movie channels. Now it is 97.99 plus tax and sports fee."
I asked to talk to supervisor and he freaked! Then says he got it down to 79.99 plus tax and rsf. I said "You're still wrong. I need supervisor." I said "I called only to cancel movies. How do you keep hearing bill? I need your supervisor!" He said ok then said "I need you to verify you declined all your discounts." I said "What discounts did you give? You only raised my bill. I need your supervisor."
Well five minutes of nothing he finally dials supervisor and I sat on hold waiting 15 more minutes. Finally Ozzy comes back on and says that unfortunately I can not talk to supervisors as their system is down and I would need to call back tomorrow to talk to one. I asked for a direct line as not to go through the half hour hold and he said "Not possible." I will have to go through all this again!!! My time is very valuable and this is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. I was polite to him all the way through his lies and deceit and not polite as I hung up! Should have listened to all my friends and family and gone with DISH Network! A very unhappy customer!

I had a very unpleasant experience with a technician when he lied about knocking on my door (He never did). But when I called customer support I was very frustrated, and they treated me like a real person and understood my complaints. They worked very hard to get me a new appointment asap and a new technician that would be more professional.

I was very sad that I had to cancel my services due to the fact that the complex where I lived partnered with a cable company that has bad customer service. Have to have their services in order to receive television and phone service. The agent I spoke with was understanding and was very knowledgeable regarding the products and services. When I move, I'll make sure that I can have satellite services with the provider of my choice and that will be DirecTV.

We live in a very difficult area in the country. The only problem I had was my own indecision on the phone and internet. I already know I want DirecTV. It's just a matter of mostly the internet and the phone. We already have internet thru Verizon DSL but it is not adequate for our increasing needs.

I had an issue with AT&T regarding connection to the DirecTV. When I called customer service with DirecTV, the issue was cleared up quickly and with a better outcome for me than was otherwise offered.

I am pleased with how easy it was to order DIRECTV and get it installed. There was no problem with anything. Everybody seemed eager to help in any way they could. The service technician was especially very good. I could tell he was very experienced, and he had the satellite and TVs up and running in a short time with no problems whatsoever.

Investigated DIRECTV to see if I could replace it with cable Comcast. Unfortunately, I could not get out of the Comcast contract. And also, because I needed phone & internet. You bundle with Verizon who does not have FiberOptics in my area and would have to install all new phone lines which would be another expense. Therefore, I had to cancel DIRECTV and stay with Comcast for the rest of my contract.

Customer service in canceling your service was great. We canceled your service because the sales rep misrepresented the channels you were able to provide, specifically AWE network, which we get on U-verse now. If you pick up that network, we would consider DirecTV.

My experience with DirecTV was excellent. They were very friendly, helpful, and prompt. The technician that came to set up the DirecTV was also very nice and professional (Henry). He answered all my questions. Setting up the DirecTV was not easy in the way my apartment was set up and it was very hot outside and he still worked really hard to get it set up for me.

The technician didn't arrive at my house 'til after 9 am and was there 'til after 1 pm. Not what was on the agreement paper. I sign it at 7:45 am and 10:45 and that was wrong. And left wiring hanging in basement.

When I first called I asked about if I needed internet for the guys to come install and she told me that they don't need internet, the internet is there for your recording and in-demand stuff. I called and asked about this question because DirecTV is installing at my place soon but my internet doesn't come until the very next day. She was great to talk to and very professional.

I had to cancel Directv but will be reassigned when I go with Verizon. Did not know this when I called to set up my TV. I do hope when I am reassigned with Directv through Verizon I can still use my current email that I first signed up with. The reason I canceled is because I didn't want to deal with Exede Internet service and phone.

My overall experience with Directv has been excellent so far. While there was an initial hiccup with the sales rep since I didn't want a dish installed outside my home, every single interaction with all reps, the install tech, everyone, has been great. All calls were very politely received, and the reps took great care to address all my concerns and questions. Even the sales rep was a really good person, apart from the whole dish issue.

Chose DIRECTV service mainly because the price was better than AT&T. The sales rep, Clayton, was extremely helpful in the transition, which was rather complicated with the addition of internet from AT&T.

In the location where I'm at, with the trees blocking the signal, no matter how hard the technician tried to find signal he just couldn't. But not being his fault, I was unable to get connected. Just waiting on the 220.95 refund that I was promised on the 9th day of this month to be refunded to my account. Was told it would be back in my bank within 3 days. However, I do understand the weekend was caught in the middle of those days. I also do intend on coming to Directv later in the near future after moving from this location of trees.

The service was very professional and the time spent in installing was short, no difficulties at all. Also the explanation about how the system works was very clear and giving information in how to contact DirecTV. The TV images were good and the channels with the contract were the ones displayed in the booklet.

I am very happy to be switched my service from U-VERSE to DirecTV. The original rep who set up my DirecTV service accidentally cancelled my existing U-VERSE service. I spent hours on the phone trying to resolve this issue. However when I called back to cancel my DirecTV install, because U-VERSE decided to keep my rate the same, the representative for DirecTV was so nice I have decided to try them for the next year. We shall see how it goes!

I was very satisfied with my Sales rep & even more so with Xavier, the bundling rep I had. However, I was on the phone for over an hour just trying to get new service. I was transferred 4 times in trying to get to a bundling rep. It was frustrating.

I signed up with DirecTV in February 2015. I did not purchase with the sales person the first time we met because I wanted to bring the current services I had with Comcast. I wanted to make sure the packages they were offering were comparable to what I currently had with Comcast. We received program by program and the salesperson showed me what I would get that was what I had with Comcast. DirecTV was running a special and I would receive a $200.00 sign on incentive.
On February 2015 technical installs equipment. I wanted to make sure before he left that I could get programming as agreed. The on demand I was not able to order movies and some of the other programs did not show up. I ask the technician I cannot order on demand movies or even order other past programs. The technician said it will take 24 hours for everything to download. I said if I cannot get these programs then I do not want to DirecTV service. He assured me that it would be up in 24 hours.
24 hours came and went I was on the telephone with customer service. They were now telling me 48 hours for all the program to download. 48 hours came and went still did not get on demand and some of the regular programming. I had attempted to order a 1 hour movie and it took 8 hours for it download. I contacted customer service. They took me through several steps. Could not get it resolved. 5th day I asked that my services be disconnected because I am not getting the services that I was promised. The disputes agent stated we have been having some issues with the on the demand and we should have everything resolved in 1 week. I stated again to agent if I cannot get my programming then I want my services disconnected.
Day 7 I was attempting to watch regular programming and when I would select station it was missing episodes. I contacted customer services and they indicated that I should that particular episodes and could not explain why I could not get it. Again they took me through trouble shooting steps. Day 10 still are unable to get programs and on demand as promised by my contract. I contact DirecTV again concerning this. Took me through steps to attempt to get program downloaded. Still no success. Day 25 I was gone out of town on business. Still could not get my programming calling DirecTV customer service. They now state it is my internet modem. So I replace my modem and get faster internet service. Still I cannot get my programming.
During the next few weeks I did not receive my incentive for signing up for $200.00. I called about that. They said they sent it out. I checked and did not see anything. I called back and a representative said “oh it came back unable to deliver.” I confirmed address and it was my address exactly. I called back to cancel my service and I explained that now I have been with them for over 8 weeks and I still cannot get my programming as promised. I sent back all the equipment and they are saying I owe a bill for 780.00 for early disconnect and service. I explained that never got the programming as I was promised by them and my contract. There are over 15 recorded calls to DirecTV. I do not owe this money. They failed to follow their agreement.

I was very happy with the customer service & service tech. My only complaint is that I expressed the importance of receiving a phone call from the tech when he was on his way so I could give further directions. I called customer service twice that morning to ensure the same thing. Luckily I gave instructions at the front gate for him because he didn't call. He said he didn't read the notes on my acct. This could have ended very frustrating. Again, he gave great service & everything turned out great, but more importance should be placed on the notes on our acct.

Called Verizon for $79.00 deal for my son. At no time did the woman from Verizon say it was DirecTV. My son lives in an apartment and we don't know if can place a dish on the building. So I called DirecTV and they were very helpful in cancelling the order. My son is going to ask his landlord if he can have a dish place on the building. The person I spoke with was very helpful and knew what he was talking about.

Unfortunately my family was not able to get signal at our new home. I know this is not DirecTV's fault. The technician tried his best and the customer service representative was very helpful and understanding. I had to cancel the service. I am devastated that I had to move on to a different tv service. I ordered DirecTV and got 200 channels. Well, I didn't know that this package consisted of 5 QVC, a channel Dyson vs Shark and Mexican channels, music channels w/out a picture. So after 24 hours I called to cancel out and was told I had to pay $480 to break the contract. I thought that I had at least 10 days... no... you have a grace period on everything else you get... if not satisfied return it... so I thought the same thing applied here. Boy was I wrong. I am 73 and on a fixed income and feel like I was robbed... DirecTV is a rip-off. You should be able to cancel within 10 days if you don't like it and not be charged.

Unless you plan on doubling your bill for worthless TV and slow internet, do not use Directv and CenturyLink. It looks great and all the discounts make sense, but after 12 months both companies practically double your bill. For example, I started off paying about $55 for Directv and $35 for CenturyLink internet. Not bad for the package and it made sense since Suddenlink charged the same price for less channels and slower internet.
At the 12-month anniversary my cable jumped to $105 and internet to $70 - and no, this was the basic package for internet and the select package for cable. Even after talking with the loyalty program, I still pay $87 for the entertainment package, which is crap. No chance I'm wasting money on the internet service which is also crap. My recommendation, stay with Suddenlink or Time Warner. If you choose DirecTV and CenturyLink, read the fineprint (contract for 2 years, discounts only for 1 year).
