Israel was great. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional and prompt. Answered all questions I had, got me set up with a convenient appointment time very quickly. Refreshing to be able to talk to a LIVE customer service rep that is U.S. based. And I was only on hold for less than a minute.

As I said everything was great except for being charged the start up fee. Mike the guy who did the installation was great & explained everything to me. He got here on time & was a very nice upbeat guy. The follow up caller was also very nice & I am so happy to be back with DirecTV.

On the whole, the Sales Team, Bundle Team, Customer Service Team of DirecTV are professional, problem solving and most of all English speaking (clearly). I am hoping my continued communications with DirecTV will prove to be as easy and positive.

Charged us a $240 cancellation fee even though we stayed with DirecTV. We cancelled our account and went with AT&T/DirecTV. When I called I was told the $240 disconnect charge would be waived if we kept DirecTV at the same address. We did and provided proof. Jamie ID # ** then said the opposite. Now she could not waive the fee & stated I needed to fill out a form. Before she told me where to find the form she transferred me. I then talked to Justin ID # ** who said he was the manager and he was extremely rude and said he could waive the disconnect fee but was not going to. He was childish and defiant and could not explain why. I told him I had been on the phone for almost an hour and told over & over the fee would be waived. The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I will be contacting the head office at DirecTV. This customer service location was in Philippines.

I called to see what deals DirecTV had versus my local cable provider and Dish Network. Direct seemed to out beat the competitors but in the end they did not. I called on 11/4/15 and the lady said they "normally" can get a tech out to set me up within 24-48 hours so I proceeded with the call. The lady explained everything and got me a package deal of $59.99. When we got to the end of the call she told me that since I didn't want to do the automatic withdraw then my monthly price was $69.99. I said that she should have quoted me with the higher price first so I fought for the $59.99 price.
At the very end when it came to setting up the installation date and time the lady said "the soonest we can get a tech out there won't be for 5 days which is 11/9/15." I was VERY upset but I went with it and used the old fashion bunny ears for tv till they came out. When they came out today the DirecTV Tech Jeff ** (not a contractor) acted VERY much like he didn't want to do the setup. He was VERY arrogant and rude. He barely looked around at the options and said "no I can't do it." There was multiple options to put the dish but he created excuses for EVERY option. He made it clear 3 times about him having the week off prior for vacation which was telling me he didn't want to do it.
He also was disgusting by digging at and readjusting his genitals. He called into DirecTV when I was right next to him and told them to cancel the installation. I was SO upset and frustrated I called in and told the representative AND the manager what happened. Their response was "well you can cancel because it won't be any wasted money for us or you." I canceled it altogether and Dish Network got me a MUCH better deal and the installation is in the 24-48 hours time frame!FYI... The sales reps don't tell you that your bill will DOUBLE after the first year! DON'T GET DIRECTV!

Directv was very helpful from customer service to the assistance of the technician. They helped me to easily reschedule my installation time. I was informed of the time frame my technician was coming and the technician was very courteous and helpful in setting up the equipment. I would definitely recommend their services to a friend or family member.

My experience on this department is totally uncalled for. If the company can debit my account as quickly as pushing the button after approval from the customer, then the company should be able to credit it back to the same account the same way. But that did not happen and the response I got from the information from your customer service rep said that it would take 5 to 10 business days.

Somehow I was signed up for NFL Sunday Ticket which I never would have paid for because I do not watch NFL. Once you do not cancel it within their time frame you are locked into it. I called once and asked for it to be cancelled and they would not do it. Have not been told I cannot cancel it until December 21 (after this full year has been paid). I get calls from their reps all the time to give me "free" services which all will automatically charge after a certain time. I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with DIRECTV. They obviously use this approach to catch people off guard and do not seem to be truly interested in customer satisfaction but how they can make as much money as possible. Will switch to DISH soon.

When I called to inquire about the cost of their services to compare against Cox, the salesperson wouldn't disclose their package costs until I agreed to allow them to run a credit check!! I never heard of such a thing. After ten minutes of up and back with the "hard sell" I had to hang up on the person. I was just livid over this so after an hour called back and got another salesperson on the phone. I told him what happened and he did give me the price of their packages. The first year would be less expensive but the second year (24 mo contract) would have been a wash. Nonetheless, I went ahead and schedule installation for a week in advance. I had to change my schedule around to be available. They did send a lot of emails confirming installation and when the day came the installation guy was an hour late. Then after walking the grounds said, "I don't have the tools or equipment to do your installation today". He said maybe one day next week!
After he left I got on the phone with DIRECTV, which has a different tele number for everything. They put me on hold/forget, transferred me back to their sales dept. twice and ultimately while I really wanted DIRECTV, had to wake up from this terrible nightmare of a company and asked them to cancel my installation and refund my installation charge. They are so huge, and are selling and installing so many customers per day that their personal service and ability to respond to an issue has been compromised. If it was this bad before the installation, what happens if I ever had a problem and want to get through to someone. Save yourself the anxiety and keep the expensive COX Cable. At least they installed their system inside the walls without exterior coaxial cable running all over the outside of my new home! Gees.

We've had DirecTV satellite service for over a year. If a drop of rain is within a few miles, the signal is lost. This happens so frequently. It's not funny. The program selection seems huge except when you take a closer look there's many programs on multiple channels. So many selections with so few worthy of watching. Very poor programming.
The most aggravating is the loss of signal just when you want to see the ending of a show or miss the punch line. Right now it's been twenty plus minutes plus that it lost signal and I missed the end of my movie. Pooh! Just call me disgusted and fed up with DirecTV! I would never recommend it to anyone. No complaints with customer service, just with the satellite and programming issues.

The sales person was from AT&T and was selling U-verse internet and TV. Never once was a satellite dish mentioned. Only that AT&T had great quality signal due to a big investment in new fiber optic lines. When the installer arrived he said he was putting up a satellite dish. We do not want a dish. We wanted U-verse TV as we had this at a previous address and loved it. Cancelled our order.

The Genie receivers from DirecTV are slow to respond to on-off and channel changes and gets worse with time. Very annoying - the problem is magnified with the Genie mini which may take 1-2 minutes after turning on to connect to the system. After going through lots of settings with a technician that didn't resolve the problem, I was informed that it was a software problem that they have been aware of for some time. So, why don't they hire some competent programmers and get it fixed?!!

Since the install of Directv in my home we have had problems. Case management closed my case and nobody calling to see if anything has been resolved is not ok. Then they are telling me they tried to call. Not true, no missed calls, no voice mail. Spent hours with Allison in retention tonight only for her to transfer me to a number saying my call couldn't be completed and to call back. Case management never called me throughout the whole time. I contacted them every time.

Am 78 years old and have been a loyal customer of DirecTV for over 10 years. I tried to talk to customer service yesterday. I used a number meant for your established customers. I was on hold for over 20 minutes. I hung up (having never talked to anyone) and then proceeded to called the number on a flyer I had received for new customers and guess what??? I got a customer service representative IMMEDIATELY! I was calling to find out why I get fliers every week offering fantastic deals... if I was a new customer. I wanted to know if I could also get one of these deals since I am such a longtime customer. The representative first told me I was on hold because it was Friday. What... Really??? That of course does not address why the new customer line was immediately picked up... on Friday!
Secondly he was rude when I wanted to know why established loyal customers are not treated as well as new customers. After going 'round and 'round and getting nowhere I finally hung up in frustration... never having my simple question answered. Needless to say we are now shopping for a new TV provider! Shame on you... No wonder tv providers have the most ill thought of customer service departments.

If I could give them no stars I would! They tricked me into a 2-year contract when they advertise for a year. Also, their customer service is horrendous! I had absolutely nothing but problems. To make matters worse, when I finally did cancel my account, early payment plans were set up to pay everything off since I couldn't do it all in one shot. But they went ahead and took the money out of my bank account making it -$207, and when I called they said there was nothing they could do. In other words, STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They are liars and don't care about the customer, just their money!!!

I cannot express how frustrating it is to have DirecTV. When it works it is sporadic. The sales pitch is a good one but they do not deliver on the what they sell. Inconsistent service and very poor customer. I cannot wait until my contract ends. Until then I will let everyone I know how bad DirecTV is and there are such better alternatives out there. I never realized how much I missed Comcast. They at least provided an consistent service.

I contacted DirecTV and spoke with a representative who seemed pleasant. However, she advised me completely incorrectly about the amount of the service and offered me a price I would later come to find out was not the right amount. This is of course after my credit was run. I received an email with an estimated bill which showed a number of 12 month credits which she informed me there were none. I called back and spoke with a supervisor who informed me that there is nothing they can do even though the representative lied to me. I was then forced to cancel my services with no other option to resolve the matter. I also requested that the recording of my conversation be reviewed and was again informed by the supervisor that even if they do review it, it would not change the outcome of my future bill.

I called to add another box to my service but could not get a hold of a human. I was on hold for 10 minutes AFTER spending 5 minutes navigating through their crappy automated phone messaging system. I HATE companies that are SO BIG and SO impersonal! It's a rude and inconsiderate gesture for people paying hundreds of dollars a year for their services.
I called back a second time after hanging up and reached...India...(rolls eyes). The lady representative, who was borderline incomprehensible, asked me all sorts of questions before asking me what the purpose for my call. After I advised her, she transferred me, and I was on hold for over 15 minutes. I was transferred to New Mexico and the guy was awesome!
BUT...I HATE this company now!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!! It's like pulling teeth talking to India, who has NO idea how to even make such additions to existing contracts. **! #FAIL. Sometimes I question the structure and mission statement of corporations whose employees do not follow the same protocol throughout the company. Moreover, I hate knowing that India is being paid pennies on the dollar that an American would and does get paid. It's like giving away American jobs to slave wages overseas only to get crappy service and throw Americans out of their job. #UnAmerican.

I will try to be accurate and fair with my comments. Directv knocked on my mother's door soliciting her business. After several months of service, she has not become familiar with the options and controls of the remote and DVR. Directv is CHARGING HER $300 early cancellation fee! I have called customer service about this issue with no resolve. So... buyer beware of DIRECTV and their sales people. Don't open the door. By the way, my mother will be 76 next week and like most has a limited income. Shame on Directv!

Biggest scam ever! Not only was I forced into a 12 month agreement to move into a new home. I was also told I am already paying the price for the Genie receiver and I could get them at no cost. Of course I'm not that naive so I asked if there is any hidden fees or contracts. If then I would be obligated to a 24 month contract. Is there any perk to being a CUSTOMER let alone a LOYAL CUSTOMER? I am completely dissatisfied with the customer service of this company and will be shopping around for the end of my forced 12 month agreement (with old equipment).

The ONLY reason I have DIRECTV is because of NFL Ticket so I can watch my Chicago Bears while living in Atlanta. The service is terrible! Even slight rains cause my signal to go out. I recently had an outage after days of rain. I called DIRECTV and was told the first appointment for repair would be in 4 days and I would have to pay for the service call! I am recovering from surgery and told the rep that I am home-bound and begged for a sooner appointment. No consideration at all was given. 4 days to wait for a service call is simply unacceptable. If you call for new service, a rep can come out in 24 hours. If you call for service you're already paying for, the wait is 4 days. DIRECTV is absolutely terrible. I lose my signal all the time and the customer service reps are always rude and completely unwilling to step outside the box and provide assistance.
I am changing over to streaming tv and can't wait to completely ditch DIRECTV. I will have to live without my beloved Bears. This terrible service is simply not worth it. I pay $200 a month to DIRECTV. Not for long! There are other options now that are far better. I used the 4 days of no tv while recovering from surgery to find other alternatives. Not smart of DIRECTV. Thank you, Hulu, Sling Tv, and Netflix, for giving us a way out satellite tv. Finally! Before you consider DIRECTV, please look into streaming TV. No more lost signals and rude customer service for me.

I had a tech who visited my home because the wireless receiver would lose connection after 10-15 minutes of being on. The tech change the location of wireless receiver to another TV and place the wired receiver at the location of the original problem. When I came home instead of feeding the cable through the drop ceiling tile, he ran the wire over the carpet and drilled 2 holes through closet doors. Ultimate laziness install.

I've been a customer for DirecTV since April 2015 and although my chosen package has not changed, I find myself calling DirecTV customer service EVERY SINGLE MONTH to dispute charges that somehow mistakenly make their way onto my monthly bill. Last month I was offered 3 months of "complimentary" STARZ movie channel for the inconveniences of last months bill confusions. This month they are charging a $13.52 fee to my bill for "Choosing" STARZ movie channel. I called to dispute that charge and after speaking to a supervisor, she tells me there is nothing that can be done. I have never experienced such bold carelessness from a business, not to mention deceitfulness. Don't let yourself get the sweet talk by DirecTV. This company is a messy corrupt deceitful monster.

My bill just increased by $30.00 this month, although I was assured when I first signed up this would not happen. I was told I would be able to receive credits. However one looks at this, I have ended up paying so much more than I was originally told I would. After spending one hour on the phone today and finally speaking with the retention department, I was told there was nothing he could do and to call next month!! This is not acceptable. Paying $1200.00 dollars a year to watch only five channels in the Extra package is ridiculous. I would have never agreed to sign up. This is not good customer service or good business practice or customer retention to gouge customers when you tie them to a contract. This company lies and cheats to get you into a contract. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. WORST COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH.

I signed up for Directv and was tricked into a 24 month Contract with only a 12 month Price Guarantee, So basically i'm stuck for 12 more months and they can charge me whatever they like and I can do nothing about it other than pay or not pay and let it ruin my credit. Buyer Beware prices almost double for same service after 12 months.

Moving. Tried to install at new house. I have been a customer for 4 years with no contract. Waited half a day. Installer shows up and leaves. Does no work. I try to cancel service and they tell me they will charge me $20/month for a year for "early cancellation", and they walked out! Yes, it is that simple.

The initial contact to move my services did not result in what I expected. The followup call after receiving my initial service summary via email took care of all the issues. I expect everything will improve once the combination of DirecTV and AT&T has a little more time together.

We called because we were charged for NFL tickets we told them we did not want. They said they would take the charge off and we would see a credit on our next bill. Our next bill showed we were charged again. Also we were without service and they lied and said we deactivated our card which was a bold face lie. They are pleasant on the phone but then don't take any action on the bill and we are sick of it.

Dealing with cable companies customer service in the past was a headache. DirecTV has great prices, great service and wonderful customer service. Every representative I spoke to did not only explained everything in detail but were also kind. That is very important for me as a new customer. Great job DirecTV.

The person on the phone was very nice. Answered all my questions and set up a sales rep to come out within days. They kept me informed on what time he would be here. The tech that came out worked fast and efficient. Was very polite and informative. He showed us how to run the tv and set all three up for us. He left the number to call if we need help. Long term customers are penalized for their faithfulness. Exorbitant rate increases and suddenly there are just "no other promotions" available. Why should I be complaining about a rate of almost $100/month? And the combo with AT&T is an absolute joke. DirecTV says call UVerse, UVerse says call DirecTV. They are not working together at all and it is very discouraging that they don't care about retention and are forcing us to go with Time Warner. UVerse TV is not available in our area and why should they expand it while DirecTV can get their ridiculous rates.

I would not recommend DIRECTV to anyone due to their overcharging on bills. Our monthly bill was never the same 2 months in a row and constantly changed. When I finally got smart after 3 years with them and decided to discontinue their service I found out they were overcharging me on receivers (said I had 7 receivers when we only had 6). They had a faulty receiver when they installed the system and replaced it but left the faulty receiver as active on our bill for 3 years. When I asked for the credit they denied it and wrote "We understand that you were only using 6 receivers, however our records show that there are 7 receivers activated... Because I didn't dispute within a required time frame we are unable to credit the charges". If I knew I was being over billed for them I would have disputed. Long story short... DON'T use DIRECTV. Their billing practices and customer service is suspect.

The sales dept. was a little pushy and just kept asking me to submit to a credit check so they could get a better idea of my total cost. Not real happy with them. The support dept. was amazing. She helped me obtain a credit and was very upfront about a mistake. Good work.

What i was told about Directv by an associate was a complete and total lie. They sold me a bill of goods! 1. They told me that I would have all the same channels that I currently had with AT&T U-verse because they were the same company. Not true, when I complained they said I had to write a letter requesting the channels I wanted them to get. 2. I was told that all the channels were HD. Not true either, not all the channels are HD and the ones that aren't are so bad it's like watching an 80's VHS tape. Not worth watching those channels at all. 3. I was told that I could rewind any program to back to the beginning and had 72 hrs to restart a program I missed. Not true, that only works on selected channels but they don't you that it's limited.
The only reason I was switching from U-verse to Directv is because Directv has a monopoly on the NFL network. The only way I was going to be able to watch my home team play was to get Directv. As much as I wanted to watch my home team I couldn't replace my girls tv channels for mine. Additionally I refuse to be lied to like that. Now I called Directv and made mention of the problems and they tried to fix the non HD channels but the missing channels they could do nothing with. I then called them back after a few days and told them I wouldn't keep the system because there are too many discrepancies between what I was told and what the truth is.
They then told me it would cost me $460 plus the prorated month to cancel the service. I asked them to waive the cancellation fee seeing as how I was not cancelling because I wanted to but because they did not provide what they said they would. I was told there was nothing that could be done and that I would have to pay. I asked for a manager and was told the same then after a few minutes she changed her mind and said she would cut it in half. I told her I would take it because it would set me back less while I fight to get it all back. I let her know that I would be contacting the State Attorney, Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. The managers name was Kimberly, employee #**. It's not right that any company should be able to sell you one thing, give you another then bill you for not accepting the scam. I would like Directv to waive the bill as they were dishonest. We have been having issues with our DIRECTV equipment that they have not been able to correct. We tried to cancel service and change to another provider and were told we would have to pay approx. $300 dollars to break the contract. We are currently in the process of moving and they asked us to give them one more try to give us good service, so we made an appointment to have the service installed at our new house between 11:00AM and 4:00PM. We called them several times during the day and they kept telling us they were in route. They never showed! Now we can't seem to get anyone to set a new appointment. We are sitting in a new house with no TV and no internet. Avoid them like the plague!

HUGE MISTAKE - DO NOT STOP TO TALK TO THE SALES PEOPLE AT WAL-MART; They lie to you. They attempted to set up an order that took over an hour and at that point I walked away and Alexis was supposed to call me to complete the order - never happened. The next day I called her cell to cancel and she never called back to confirm the order had been cancelled. Called the following morning, still no answer or callback. Called DirecTV and spoke to one girl who wanted me to transfer me to the Wal-Mart side of things and then hung up on me. Called again and spoke to Carrie who herself was very rude. I asked for a cancellation number and she said "just use your confirmation number or go online to set up an account".
I went online and attempted to set up an account and told her it would not go thru, she then said "then your order is cancelled". She also recommended I go back to Wal-mart to talk to the lady that attempted to set up service. Does anyone know customer service these days? I am in the industry and this not how you treat a customer service. It is no wonder they have to put people in Wal-mart's to sell their service.

My roommate moved from Cox cable to DIRECTV and got the Genie Minis for the rooms in the house. The techs did a terrible job of setting up in my bedroom - unhooked all of my other electronics to set up the box. When I got home from work I turned on my home theater system - nothing. The stereo and the DVD played sound but the home theater would not play sound of the tv. When we contacted DIRECTV to fix the problem they wanted to charge us $99.00 for a different box. When asked why they said it was not their equipment causing the problem. I know that it is their equipment causing the problem because I went and bought a new home theater system and still have the problem. Their Genie Mini is trash. I will never do business with DIRECTV ever again because they can not take responsibility for their own bad equipment and bad tech support. And the installers made a mess of all the wires. Not a professional job all the way around.

I am upset DirecTV and NBC cannot come to an agreement. We mainly watch NBC, ABC, and CBS. By blocking NBC, you have deleted one-third of my TV watching. My bill did not get reduced by one-third. We also paid for NFL Sunday Football. This week my husband cannot watch the Indianapolis Colts. Needless to say he is very upset. I should also mention we did not get a refund for this inconvenience either. If you drop ABC, will our bill be reduced by two-thirds? I think not. I have been a loyal customer since 2007. I have two accounts, one in IN and one in FL. I am very upset with DirecTV.

I was told I was getting a discount. Asked the agent (lady) twice about the price I was going to be paying, 30 something dollars. My bill comes in and it's normal amount. I called just to see what happened and another agent (guy) said, "Oh there was no note left that you called." But I did call to update my debit card information and that's how we got into the whole discount conversation. So he goes on to say, "You are already getting a 30 dollar discount." Maybe that's what she meant. Trying to say I was stupid or something pisses me off because I asked the agent (lady) who previously attended me couple of times, "So my next bill will be 30 something dollars then?" She said, "Yes." I'm not the stupid one, the lady is. She needs to explain herself better! Go through the recorded conversations!

I've been a great customer of DirecTV for over 4 years. Because where I was moving had cable. I called and cancelled my $117 a month payment for my one TV. Which I thought was way to high for what I got. 50% were advertising and sales channels, another 25% were sports which I have no interest in. When I called to cancel they were able to turn off my service within hours. However 2 days later, my bank is showing a charge for the $117. My actual billing for the amount I owed I should have been charged was only $49. Now they are telling me, after spending over 22 minutes on the phone, much of that time holding, that they can't bill me what us actually owed but will refund me a check in the mail of the balance approximately $68. In a couple weeks. Why can't they simply charge me what I owe?
With moving, the costs are significant and I did not expect to be hit with them taking $68 of my money they do not deserve. In legal terms that could be considered theft. Conversion of money or property not due them. How can they justify canceling my service but then tell me that they are unable to simply charge me what is owed. Their refund will no doubt take weeks to return. Then I'm going to have to deposit it into my bank for another delay due to processing.
I stayed on the line over 22 minutes while at work, on hold most of the phone on hold. Then when I told them that I had to take a call from my work, then they told me they could only hold the line for 2 minutes. I was back before the 2 minutes but they disconnected before anything could be discussed. Simply big powerful corporations doing what pleases them and to heck with the consumer. I was going to go back to them before this happened if I ever needed satellite again. But not now.. Not ever. Please take care of this problem when you call to disconnect.. Or you will find them taking your next month's payment 2 days after you have canceled service.

Since I had DirecTV installed, I have had nothing but problems. It started with them charging me for a box that I refused delivery of with the UPS delivery man (just as I was told to do by DirecTV). I had a box from another source and didn't need it. They told me they had no record of receiving it back from UPS. I argued to no avail and was stuck paying for it. Lie number 1. Next they told me AFTER installation of service that I can expect disruption in services whenever it rains. Something they told me would rarely happen when I spoke to a rep before signing up and setting up an installation appointment. Lie number two.
I have service interruptions very often, even when it is not raining. After 1 year of service my 2 year discount no longer existed. Before signing up I was told by the salesman that I would receive a specific discount covering premium movie channels for 2 full years. Now I was told that the 2 year discount was only for a $10 discount, not the large discount (about $35 a month) for the premium movie channels. THAT discount was only for 12 months! Lie number 3. I complained and eventually spoke to an account specialist who promised me that he was giving me a 6 month extension on the premium channels. Guess what? I checked my bill and it wasn't there. Lie number 4.
I called and spoke to yet another account specialist who said "we have no record of your prior call or any prior agreement." Another lie? Either a lie or incompetence, take your pick. Now she promised me a different 6 month extension of discounts, an amount half the amount I was promised by the phantom account specialist. I expect this to be a lie as well. You can be the judge. By the way, main local channels are now dropping off due to contract disputes. We are told to tune to their special information website to get the latest news.
But guess what again? It didn't work. It provided no information and even the latest rep we called couldn't get on. This went on for over a week. Now we can access the site. It says we may be eligible to receive an alternate channel. Just fill in certain information to see if we do. You guessed it. After filling in the information, all we could get were messages saying there is a problem with the site and we should check back later. How many lies are we up to??? I've lost count. Their site does brag (or is it a feel sorry for us statement) that they have been engaged in over 80 contract negotiations this year. SO WHAT?
I think that is more a sign of incompetence than a sign of how hard they are working. In the end, if you are looking for poor tv service, horrible customer service and unending frustration, use DirecTV. This is why they make you sign a contract with them. They obviously know that they likely will lose you as customer in no time without one.

Long story short, my father called to add another box upstairs and they locked us into a NEW contract for adding a box. No change to service or anything. Just a box. Then when we called to cancel they said "Oh no it will be a $300 early termination fee. Sorry." Really? I was the owner of the account and they let my dad sign a new contract on an account that was IN MY NAME. I never thought paying them more monthly for another box would require a new contract. So, they basically told me, well we let your dad sign a new contract for you, but you have to sue him for fraud against you. So, long story short we paid the early termination fee. I will NEVER go back to DirecTV. I recommend you don’t either.

Contacted DIRECTV as their service wasn't working in our home. After troubleshooting they needed to set up a repair call. We pay an extra $7/month to cover the service calls, upgrades, etc. However, we have to wait 5 days to get service. They did not offer to prorate my service, but when I pushed them for it because of the long outage, they agreed. If you need service at your home, expect to wait a very long time.

My two technicians on two successive days were wonderful. My first woman on the telephone customer service the first day was great; second woman on second day was befuddled. The major problems: I am a professional earning $100 an hour. I had to spend two eight hour days waiting for DirecTV to do its job. First day: I waited four hours for tech to come. Then it rained. Tech waited for half an hour before leaving. Rain stopped right after he left. Then I had to call DirecTV and make appointment for the next day. Rep said she would try to have me scheduled first on the list for 8am.
Second day: I waited four hours before tech came. Then I had to wait three to four hours for tech to finish his work. One major problem was that the tech's supervisor showed up and berated him for not wearing the right shirt! I speak Spanish fluently. He harped on the same one "problem" for over 45 minutes while my 90 year old mother and I cooled our heels waiting for the job to be completed. DirecTV needs to have a better system in place, one that does not make people who work for a living to be home for two, full eight hour, days in order for it to be convenient for you to install this service. Except for Comcast, DirecTV is the worst. Only you cable, satellite, and internet people do this. Even my doctors do not do this anymore. I can see all of them within a few minutes of any appointment.

The service and reliability of DIRECTV is poor to say the least. They have intermittent outages that are not resolved after contacting them multiple times. They claim that they have computer issues when you call in for problems and recommend that you try them again at 8AM the next day. I called at 9PM at night to get help and walk through the issue and the answer is, "Sorry but we can't help you". They fail to deliver on the service that I pay for each month. If I am late on the bill they have the right to charge fees or cancel my service. In my case I have no option as they will charge me a 175 dollars to cancel the plan. The lack of customer service and care for the customer is so apparent that I want to have the world that looks them up to see that DIRECTV is not good for service or quality. The grade they would get in school would be an F. They are not honest or provide a service that you can be proud of when you have company over you can have failures.

I had to change installation technicians on the initial installation, due to lack of motivation and ability to problem solve. The initial installation technician was not interested in finding a solution the mounting of the dish. Customer Service representative solved the problem, and identified another installation date with a new installation technician. The Customer Service representative was excellent in resolving the issue.

I explained we had cancelled service 2 years ago as we could not get Atlanta news, weather or sports. I explained we live on the S.C. line & I was told we could now get the Atlanta channels. Spoke with an agent early in October to report a receiver I thought was stolen a year ago. I was told that I had been charged the whole time the receiver was reported stolen although it was supposed to be canceled. The agent promised a credit of approximately $78 and a follow up call to me once the credit was applied. Not only did I not receive the phone call, but no credit was ever applied. I've called twice since then and end up hanging up because the wait times are so long. I eventually got an agent on the line only to be told that the conversation was never logged onto my account. Now it's my word against theirs. It seems as though the service has gone down every year for quite some time now. Considering a change.

Opened claim for broken laptop at 2015-09-14. Until this moment there is no resolution to the case. I have sent Sony laptop twice for fix - No resolution. I was offered new laptop - Directv sent the wrong Laptop. Asked to take back the wrong laptop to a Best Buy store. DirecTv representative mentioned agent will call to take the details of new laptop. Everytime I call PROTECTION PLAN PREMIER department I am requested to wait 2-4 Business days agent to get back to me. When I asked to talk to a supervisor I was asked to wait 5 hours - another day. DirecTV satellite service is good but should avoid any Business with PROTECTION PLAN department. Still waiting!

I called Directv last night to ask why my bill went up with 38%. I learned some promotion expired, so that's ok, I understand that. What I didn't understand when I ask to speak with the supervisor, I was put on hold for more than 20 minutes by a promotion rep (ID # **), I called back, talk to somebody else, same result. On hold for long time. I don't know, is there any other promotion? I don't know why I have to pay close to $110 for a service when new consumers only pay $29.99 for a year. The experience with the customer service was HORRIBLE. I didn't recommend Directv for anybody. They keep jacking up the price, disrespectful with the callers, the supervisor almost never available. You with this company for long, long time and when you need to talk to somebody they just ** on your face. Who need this?

The service technician was extremely professional, efficient, and handled problems that arose quite well. He went out of his way to make sure everything was done satisfactorily. His knowledge of the procedures required when I asked for clarification was excellent.

Was very satisfied with customer service rep. Helpful and courteous and knowledgeable. Addressed all my needs and questions in a timely manner. Rescheduled appointment very quickly so I did not have to wait for service that long.

Not enough time was spent on explaining remote buttons, features, how to use. Booklet that was given is not detailed enough in explaining how to do things. Also on bottom of guide page, arrow buttons that indicate 12 hours ago or 12 hours ahead do not work.

I called DirecTV on about Oct 19 to talk about my bill that is high. I had gotten a flyer in the mail from Dish Network stating more channels than what I have. I've paid my DirecTV bill on time every month for the past two years. I've never been late or anything. You would think they would want to satisfy their customers. They told me that I'm already getting a 25$ discount when I got my bill this month. I did not have a 25$ discount. They will downgrade other providers right over the phone. They are very ignorant on the night shift if you call on and have a problem. They have called me a liar.
Had to call the main office because I had a NFL charge on my bill that I didn't order a couple months back. The main office took care of it but the actual DirecTV number told me that I was a liar and they weren't taking those charges off. Then the guy was going to give us Sunday ticket for the next three months. That's what promotion I was good for. He was pressuring me into signing another year contract with my DirecTV and internet combined. It is over 151$. I think that is ridiculous!

Some of the reps spoke too fast and didn't slow down when asked repeatedly. Also, heavy foreign accent made it difficult to understand. Mercedes was really good and helpful.

We moved our DirecTV to a new location because we still had a year and a half on our contract. At the time of the move we asked about adding a second TV and were informed that it would be an additional $6.50 per month, that's it. Since moving our service we have had nothing but problems. We went to cancel our service and were informed that we now had 3 and a half years on our contract. What! DirecTV added an additional 2 years on our contract without telling us when we added the second TV. DirecTV customer service has been terrible. When we called we were told we had been informed and the agent's notes proved it. We would have never agreed to a contract extension!
The only thing that they said we could do was request online that the phone call be reviewed. We did that and they said the issue was being elevated. Weeks later and no response so I contacted them again and got a reply from technical support not customer support saying that they could help with our technical issues. What? When I called the agent said there was nothing they could do and I should do an online request that the call be reviewed. When I told her I had done that which is why I was calling she couldn't help me. No options, no one else to speak to. Nothing. I have no idea how to get this issue resolved but I am telling everyone DirecTV is terrible and not to do business with them.

Final price is almost double package price. DirecTV charges $99 for installing two minis and also charges the customer for shipping their own equipment. Nickel and dimes their customers and then wants good customer feedback.

We have been a customer of DirecTV for years. We moved from one house to another and scheduled the move with DirecTV in advance and they said they would be out Sept 30th to install the equipment in our new house. Well that day came and the tech never showed up in his time slot. Followed up with the useless online tech/appointment tracker to find that he logged that he was at our house. Hmmm... That's funny because so are we and there's no tech in the house. We called DirecTV and of course they act like they operate as different business between departments and have to get back to us. They call back and say he is on his way. Still no show. Called them again. This time his truck broke down but will be there shortly. Still a no show. Called again, "Oh, he was sent to the wrong address". We will have some come out in the morning. Furious because we know they are lying!
Next morning a nice guy with no type of authority calls and apologizes and says he will credit us $50 and find out how to resolve this. His findings were to reschedule the appt for the next earliest appt on Oct 7th. A week later!!! Due to the NFL Sunday ticket we had no choice but to wait like idiots. We barked up every tree and even canceled the service and they did not even care. I bring this up now because I scheduled another appt with them for a different matter. They said they will be out between 8-12. At noon we looked at the tracker and guess what??? The tech logged he is on location. Got to watch those techs. They are very sneaky. They are in your house and you don't even know it. LOL!
