I had a question about installing, and called. Got a young man in Ohio named Dusty. He was very intelligent, could speak well, and was very professional. He had a great personality, and knew his job. He helped me with all my questions. The installer, Donnie, called before he came, was clean and well spoken, and installed the dish and equipment very well. He was a true professional. Always had a smile. Not complaining and grunting as some do. Very pleased with both Dusty and Donnie. Every company needs more associates as these two.

DirecTV seems to have a call hold to basic service person to another wrong dept after long hold to... until you reach the correct person who can do it all in minutes. If you have 2 hours to get to that great person, your system is thus.

I have never before had my integrity challenged, let alone having over $800 stolen out of my bank account, than from DirecTV. I canceled them, on the road with a book tour I said I wanted to return their equipment, they said they didn't want it back. Months later, I am billed as if I had never canceled and they are charging me for taking their equipment.
It has taken me over 40 hours of phone calls et al (online does not work) to return the equipment. Evidently they sent the check for such to a place I have already told them I do not live, so even yesterday plus today another over 14 hours on hold mostly with these idiots. 5 hours on hold with 2 numbers being transferred around, another 6 hours mostly on hold being transferred around and then they hung up on me giving me an 8th phone number to call. I ** HATE HATE HATE THIS COMPANY. Avoid them at all costs.

DO NOT GO WITH DIRECTV!!! They drilled through my new shingles on my roof - 4 large bolts when the wood fascia is less than a foot away. Talked to supervisor and they said they are not responsible for any damage!!!

Since we are moving I called Direct to arrange to terminate the service. The service person at DIRECTV informed us that DIRECTV intends to charge us $100 for "Early" cancellation of our account. We have been customers since early 2013 - so I questioned why we would be subject to an cancellation fee. He checked the company's records, and said it was because a new 12 month period began when DIRECTV "installed an upgraded Genie" in the fall of 2015. HOWEVER, we did not request an upgraded Genie - we had a service call because the original remote equipment provided by Direct had failed.
Since we were paying for it we wanted it to be functional. The service technician came and replaced the Genie so we would have one that functioned. I do not think it is a fair or legal consumer practice to start a new 12 month period when the fault is in Direct's equipment and the new equipment is a replacement. That is an awful practice that will send me to a different option when we reach our new residence.

Just switched from DISH, has been a seamless experience. From the sign up at a retail store where we were able to take advantage of promo offers, to installation where we got the perfect time/day and the installer was super professional. Even calling customer service to add our referral code was quick and easy. Has really confirmed our decision.

If you are thinking about switching to DIRECTV seriously avoid them. They may be giving you a good deal at first with the new customer promotions but after the first year the price skyrockets plus all the fees are ridiculous even with the promotions. Also if you face a dilemma where you have to suspend service early like I did they will not work with you at all! They will be rude to you and treat you like a criminal. You basically have to pay $200 bucks in full and they don't care at all about any situation you may be in even if you explain it to them. They are money hungry crooks and should be avoided! Don't fall for the hype! It was the biggest mistake I ever made!

Paid for MLB Extra Innings only to have the first game I watch (Giants/Dodgers 4/9/16), shut off in overtime. Tried calling & hung up after 25 minutes - 5 of which was going through a million pre-recorded prompts. Resorted to posting on their Facebook page (as did other people), only to have them change their page to hide public posts. I've never had any luck with their customer service. In my experience, this will be like every other issue I've had with them. They get their money yet when they don't follow through with their end of the deal - service; no compensation, no apology, nothing. Why should I have to be held up to a 24 month contract when they don't have to hold up their end of the deal? DO NOT RECOMMEND.

My experience from the phone call for info. to the install was awesome. The phone person was informed and helped me make the right choice for my viewing needs and price point. The install guy was fabulous. Explained everything to us and showed us everything about the system.

I'm writing this review to try to spare anyone from making the same mistake I made when I became a customer of DIRECTV. I only signed up 7 months ago and am gladly paying their insane cancellation fee to be rid of them. The worse customer service I've ever experienced in my life and they raised my rates on me only 4 months into being a customer without any notice. They say it's because they have the best equipment and service out there but they allowed me to suffer for over a week with issues and made me try to troubleshoot my problems with their equipment. I spent hours in chat rooms being forced to try to fix the issues I was having and no one solved my problem.
I didn't think I had to go through all of that as a customer, after all, I'm not employed by them, nor did I get any compensation for my time. I could say more but I will end with this... I cancelled my service after being treated so rudely by one of their techs on the phone and refusing to pay for a tech to finally come to my home to service the equipment that they say is so great. I know I didn't do anything to it and I was paying enough for the service to begin with, I sure wasn't paying for their tech to come tell me that now I was going to have to pay even more to fix the problem. Take my advice and run from this company. There are much better ways to view tv than DIRECTV. They suck!!!

I had DIRECTV before. I've switch 2 or 3 times since then to keep my price down. All these companies do is try and stick it to you after you've been their customer for a few years. Anyhow I signed up again at a Menards. I told them I have an existing dish mounted to my antenna tower from DIRECTV. They said, "Great, that's where we will put new one." Great. Havier shows up. First thing out of his mouth was "I can't put your dish up there." I said, "Why not?" He said his brackets won't fit. I said I will make the brackets in my garage as I have good supply of stainless steel power tools and welders. I can whip it up in no time. He says he can't install on tower because it will move. I said, "My tower is very sturdy and anchored to my brick chimney and I never had a problem with the old one."
He said he could not do it cause he would be responsible if I had problems. I said, "This is my house and I assume all responsibility if there's a problem." He said, "No, I can't do it." I said, "I am the customer and I am always right. Your people did it this way before. It worked great then that's where it's going now." He said, "No, I can't do it." I said, "Fine, I'm canceling the order. You don't want to do what I tell you on MY HOUSE then you're done. Goodbye." Never, never, never will I go with DIRECTV.

You're promised free install but are charged $99 same day after they install the dish on your landlord's roof. They say because you need wireless set up but it's scam. 3 rooms in apartment is impossible. So I called and they told me only another way to install is use the ethernet hardwire on bedroom boxes... Guess what? There nowhere to connect ethernet to those boxes. Hmmm calling BBB for my 76 year old mother.

Pretty much they messed up the $100 referral I was to get. I have it in writing from the chat I would get it. Customer rep I first talked to said I was right and I should have got it. They then transferred me to a manager and they said now too much time has gone by and they can not give it to me. The manager was as cold as they come and was pretty much uncaring at all. I have been a long time customer and will not renew. Ever since AT&T purchased the company the customer service has been terrible!

I owe this experience to my parents. They have DirecTV and had convinced me to switch from Cablevision after being a 10 year customer but super dissatisfied. The rates, the sales reps are not pleasant. My needs were not met, I've changed packages a lot, internet had major interruptions and was slow and my children were getting upset if their channel froze or changed. With DirecTV I was offered and explained a great bundle package after explaining my personal situation and my needs. My sales rep Joseph and Anthony were very understanding and so helpful!!! Being new to this service they had a lot of patience with all my questions. It meant a lot to me. I'm super relieved with my lower monthly bill, so happy that we can DVR more than one show and that my children are not limited to certain stations due to a price. We are very thankful for all your help and services DirecTV! Definitely recommending you to everyone I know!

I signed up for DirecTV through Costco. Made the appointment for the installation. This is where we had issues. I had to change the install date due to a business conflict. I called DirecTV and was on hold for 20 minutes until I hung up. I went online and into a chat. That took 10 minutes to get through to tell them to just cancel the order. I received confirmation of the cancellation. 2 days later the installer showed up at my house and we received panic phone calls from DirecTV that he could not get in. They left phone # so I called them again this morning to make sure I get my refund of the $110. I have now been on hold again for over 15 minutes. I do not want to be married to a company for 2 years and nobody to talk to when I have a problem. I will stay with Cox and the superior service, more money but....

They don't stick to their agreement. I was suppose to have a bundle package, that never happen even after I talked to them. Bill was different amount every month sometimes even double. After canceling recurring payment and canceling contract with them they still took out of my bank account almost $500. Really crapy company. I would look at different provider before them.

I have been a customer of DirecTV for going on 3 years and I honestly can say, that I've only had one tech out and that was to fix a mistake that the original installer made who was a contractor and that was in the very beginning of my service. But after that everything has been great, no service interruptions. I can probably count on one hand how many times I have had to call them about anything. I just very recently upgraded to their 4k service and so far I love it and being a loyal customer they are always so willing to give me any promos they have going on to keep my bill at a decent pricing. I work for a cable company. I could be paying close to nothing for service but I still choose to stick with Direct. Nothing like excellent customer service and quality products to match. That's all we ask for.

The first installer to come was horrible! When I called customer service the rep was great. She scheduled an installation for today. The first installer was suppose to do this but did not. The second installer was excellent. With the exception of the first installer, everyone I dealt with at DirecTV were excellent and a credit to your organization!

The guy that installed tracked mud all in the house. Did not hook up On Demand. I called about the carpet and they said I have to take pictures and submit a claim but it would take up to 7 days to process so I am to go with muddy carpet that long, so I was so mad I forgot to talk about the On Demand. I did feel like calling back right then. So I never got my carpet clean. I ended up doing it myself. Well I ended up waiting 2 months to call about the On Demand. They said I should have called sooner. So I would need to pay 31 dollars for a box. So when my 2 years is up I will be canceling my service.

Happy with the experience so far. The installation is scheduled for today and, because it took so long to get somebody out here to install, the grace period of the watch anywhere app expired. That's the only thing that hasn't been ideal but it is what it is.

I was told by installer I could call for $100 Visa for myself and existing recommending customer. However I had to wait for at least two bills to be paid even though I signed a 2 yr contract. I ended up not calling for 95 days. Was told "So sorry. This was only good for 90 days." Never told of the deadline. Typical scam by companies offering rebates with restrictions, time delays, and poor information, to sucker you in. And typically they are shady companies just trying to walk on the line with the law. Buyer beware.

Very well pleased with the customer rep. The only thing I do not like is that you have a price for 10 months then it goes up, until the 13th month and then it hikes way up. Why not just have a set price like Dish does. I checked both companies and your rates are comparable within a few dollars, but my daughter who already has DirecTV suggested that DirecTV doesn't lose service when it storms as often as Dish. The one thing that did sell me with DirecTV was the refer a friend and the $100 Visa card. One thing I might suggest is that you have senior citizen discounts and vet/disable veterans discounts.

Just treated very poorly, lied to, hung up on, transferred to wrong department, disrespected, you name it they did it to me. Plus every time you call you get a different center. I think they do that so they can say "I'm sorry but we can't contact that center so we have to go by what is here." The worst trained reps that I have every dealt with.

When signing up I did the bundle with CenturyLink. I have yet to received a correct bill since July '15 to April '15. I have called in numerous times/chatted in re: my bill. They say "oh you're at this package" when I tell them yet again I am NOT to be at a higher priced package as I do not want it. They tell me they will adjust my bill. They have yet to do so. I finally had enough of which I wanted to cancel which would be $300. They have continued to screw up and accept no responsibility and will not even work with the cancellation fee. I will NEVER use them again just on principle of their customer service. I as a customer did nothing but order a service that they overcharged and the managers all wanted to argue and tell me it was all correct when it was not. Very disappointing for someone to keep reaching in your pockets and you have no recourse and have to continue paying for something you don't want.

I moved in with my sister to take care of her due to health reason. She has DirecTV and not under a contract. I have 10 months left on my contract. I was trying to move my service to her house and disconnect her service. I made 4 calls, spent at least 45 minutes on each call. Customer service told me my early termination fee would be $200 and to move my service will be $180.00. I am so upset and disappointed. Why does it have to be so hard to speak to someone.

I been with DirecTV since 2014. They have been nothing but a headache, seems like every time is more money. I asked for HD and they were trying to charge me more for service! Either keep the grandfathered channel lineup, or discount a grandfathered account when channels are removed. After being told by a supervisor over the telephone that DirecTV can break their contract anytime by removing channels without notification, I've decided to warn others that once a channel becomes popular and a new higher price is negotiated, you either have to pay more or live with paying the same price for less channels. It is not right to remove programming without just compensation.

BEWARE! Worst service I have ever experienced. I have been with DirecTV for 5 years now, and have consistently had the worst customer service between bills changing, my internet and cable wires cut off my house and it taking weeks to be fixed while I was being charged. And now after I moved I was locked into a 12-month contract against my permission. After living in my new place for 3 months now, my bill has gone up $30. They have no discounts they can offer me, and I would have to pay $199 to cancel. Such a scam, nothing was verbally stated to me that this was the case after I repeatedly checked this was still month to month because I will not even be living in my new location for 12 months... I just want to cancel and be done with this company!

I have been with DirecTV with 15 years. They always start you off with a cheap plan when you sign another 2 year contract to upgrade and after that they really stick it to you. I have NO MOVIE CHANNELS and I pay 130 bucks a month. It's ridiculous. You would think after being such a loyal customer to them for so long they would cut you some type of deal. But nope, they don't care about having loyal customers all they care about is making that dollar.

I would recommend DirecTV to a friend. I prefer DirecTV over Dish, which I have never had Dish but have friends who do. My daughter has DirecTV and she loves it. I am just anxious to be able to watch something other than local channels.

I was canceling U-verse because of poor service and got talked into DIRECTV with the promise that I could cancel if I was not satisfied. It started with the installation. I was told it would take 2 hours to install. It ended up taking 5 guys, 10 hours to install because none of them knew what they were doing. They were all very nice but told me they had not been trained on the equipment that I was getting and did not know how it worked. After 10 hours they were all very ready to go home and they left wall plates off, a tangle of wires in my living room that you could launch an Apollo rocket with, and a system that does not work well at all.
Next is the product. I have never seen so much unwanted and unsolicited advertising in my life. I would bet at least half the channels that you get are pitching something. I bet there are 300 channels trying to sell you movies, pots and pans, vacuum cleaners or something. They have obviously pimped themselves out to any and everyone that would give them money. Also, the channels are so disorganized and difficult to use it makes no sense at all.
Now when I called them with all of my issues and disappointments they told me that no matter how much I complained they would not let me out of the deal like I had been promised to get me to sign up. Don't do it. Go to a different product. I will make no pitch for anyone else but it can't get any worse than DIRECTV. I hate it, my wife hates it, and even the kids hate it. They are corporate thugs that will tell you anything to sell it to you and will not honor their promises because they know you have no recourse but to pay. Good luck. Had to cancel my order due to unavailability of satellite service. Jeff provided excellent service and made the transaction simple and pleasurable! It is refreshing to have such great service after dealing with Verizon where you hear automatic computer responses and are on hold for 40 minutes before a human comes on the line!

I had trouble getting the right person on the phone to upgrade my DirecTV. When I called, an AT&T rep answered, then transferred me to DirecTV. After he could not do the upgrade, he passed me to the person who could do the upgrade. I was on the phone for 30 minutes.

Questions were answered and I was upgraded and able to have new promotions applied to my newer existing account. I was transferred 7 times before I was connected with someone who could help me and on the phone for 90 minutes which is a bit excessive but overall satisfied with end results.

The agent I talked to was very nice and pleasant to work with, but the antiquated system at DirecTV is very frustrating. I have aging DirecTV equipment (paying for protection plan since I joined) and had to file two claims in the last 2 weeks; the latest is there is not a way to turn on a receiver without unplugging it, plugging it back in and 10 minutes later I can watch tv. DirecTV agreed my receiver needs to be replaced and will do so as soon as my previous equipment claim (equipment I received over a week ago) works through their system. Until it does that, they cannot send me a new receiver, which will be another 3-5 days. From a customer experience perspective, this is poor to horrible. How can DirecTV get away with this when other industries (automotive) would be expected to fix any warranty claims immediately?

I enjoyed my past services with DIRECTV 2012. However at the end of my contract I was not valued as much as a new customer and was offered less than satisfactory options to remain a customer. So I left for another provider. In fact the Feeble attempts to keep me as a customer only after the order to cancel my service continued to be weak and only ticked me off more. It was only after leaving did the letters to come back and continued offers that made me feel appreciated as a customer came. Huge offers to buy me out of my current contract with another provider. It was however too late and I had committed myself to another service and hold to my commitments. When my contract was over with the next company I reviewed my options and believed coming back to DIRECTV was my best option.
After receiving a promotional letter to return I decided to Come Back and set up for new services. Days after setting up my installation another promotional letter came in the mail offering a better promotion to return. I honestly expected the same treatment as last time now that I was again a customer and it was a reminder to past dissatisfaction with DIRECTV customer service. When I called customer service this time. The young lady who assisted me was fast, no haggle and fixed my order to the better promotion. She was very pleasant and additionally assisted in trying to get me a better installation time and then proceeded to set me up on DIRECTV Online. Unsolicited.
Mostly she was very personable and down to earth. I felt like I was speaking to another person instead of someone reading from a script. If it was a script she was very well trained and kudos to the company. I look forward to the next couple of years of your service and hopefully more at the end of this contract assuming I will be treated like a wanted customer rather than a bird in hand. This bird unfortunately will fly again if I receive the same treatment at the end of this contract that I received after my first contract.

I scheduled to have TV set up on 3/15. After I had already taken the day off DIRECTV called me and said they needed to reschedule. I was tucked considering I already took off work. They offered a $50 statement credit for my troubles. On the next billing cycle that credit didn't reflect so I called them. After an hour of being transferred around they said that they had no record of an outbound call and would not give the credit. In my opinion they offered me a fake credit so that I wouldn't cancel the setup and go with another company. This is extremely deceptive so please be aware.

Wanted to get information on costs if ordered service at current location and then re-installed at a new home in a few months. Was given vague "will depend on account status at that time". Placed order, but wasn't comfortable not know exactly what would happen when we moved. Had to call back and was given a more direct answer, though still a somewhat vague range "it will cost $30 to $300". So I cancelled the original order and will just wait for new installation at new home.

It is not often I come into contact with a company that takes billing issues to heart. The norm would be a company explaining why the bill is correct, and do everything they can to avoid admitting errors. DirecTV did what most will not. They took the time to look at each monthly bill, and asked very important questions, such as, why billing issues were brought up several months after the charge. I explained I am busy, with work, as well as an above average family size, which is why my bill is set for auto-draft. And I usually will go through all of my bills quarterly. From someone who values time and money, thank you for taking the time to listen, evaluate, and for being positive and helpful at my contacting you: (before taking action). It means something to individuals like me (your customers) when a company takes pride in their customer service.

When calling in to order DirecTV for my home, I had the pleasure of speaking with a Middle Eastern gentleman that spoke very little English. He was very hard to understand. After being on the phone with him for well over an hour and being put on hold numerous times, I finally had my order processed. I was understanding that I was getting the genie with the DVR capabilities. Boy was I wrong. When the tech showed up for the install he gave us a plain receiver. Since I had to go out of state for work, I was unable to be there for the installation. So I had my wife there. She really didn't know what we were supposed to be getting.
3 weeks later I return home and figure it out. I called DirecTV. After being on the phone for nearly an hour and again being put on hold numerous times, I was told I would have to pay full price for the genie with DVR ($300). Or pay for a DVR kit ($100). And also pay for a tech to come out to the house. Umm... 2 years can't get here fast enough so I can switch back to Dish Network. Haven't been a customer for a month yet and I'm already sick of this company.

Awful experience with DirecTV. I will never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone. The only reason we went with DirecTV was due to our location and lack of providers in the area. I did not want an ugly satellite on my house but obviously I didn't have much of an option if I wanted additional TV service besides the basic local channels. They claim they have a loyalty program but screw you by forcing you into a 24 month agreement. I tried to move locations and still keep DirecTV. When I called to set up the movers program, I was informed there was a small service fee to suspend the account and they would be happy to set me up at my new house. The closing date was still pending on my new house and the agent suggested a 30 day suspension for my account.
With issues closing on the house, I was forced to do another extension. Again they suggested only a few weeks longer and said I could renew the suspension whenever but they preferred to get me on the calendar since the scheduling of installations only goes out 30 days. At this point, I received emails about charges to my account and late fees. After two hours on the phone I was informed that you can only do two suspensions and then the account automatically starts back up. Nothing was installed or hooked up but I was being charged for services and all I did was take the recommendations for shorter extensions from DirecTV. Once I closed on the house and called to schedule a installation date, they informed me that they would no longer cover the installation at my new house and I needed to pay $199 for set up. I found out the early cancellation of my account would be cheaper than the installation at my new location.
After trying to talk to a manager, I was denied and instructed that there was nothing they could do. I told them I would find another provider and would call back to cancel. Only when I was going through the process of cancellation did they offer to waive the additional fees they wanted to charge for installation. I found cheaper service, faster internet, and additional channels with a different provider. Plus we were provided a $300 gift card from our new provider which paid for my early cancellation. Bye DirecTV. Maybe try helping customer before they ask to cancel service.

I was moving before my 2 yrs was up and where I was moving to does not allow dishes on their property. I called Direct up and told them about the situation and they said they could suspend my service for 6 months which was perfect. The next month, I was billed for service I didn't even have. I called again, wouldn't refund my money. Told me they would suspend my service now. Next month, I get billed again for service I don't have and won't refund my money. I've had Direct twice in the past with good results but never again. Major thiefs!!!

I recently got services with Directv. This is my second day, I was told that their services were the best over Dish network. They didn't explain anything about the boxes, the technician have no knowledge about the product. I'm completely disappointed with customer's service, and the service overall. As soon as my contract is over I will switch and also let all my people about them.

On March 27th 2016 it DirecTV installer came out to my house to try to relocate the dish. We had just had a new roof put on the house and did not want the Satellite Dish relocated back onto the roof. We wanted it on a pole. That particular installer said that that could not be done due to the line of sight with the trees. So when I called DirecTV back and explain to them that I could not have a dish on the roof they set up an appointment for Monday the 29th of March for a second opinion. That appointment was scheduled between the hours of 12 and 4 on Monday. Approximately 9:45 in the morning I received an email stating that the technician was sent to arrive in 45 minutes.
45 minutes later I get an automated phone call saying that the technician was set to arrive between the hours of 10:20 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. I left work and rush home. No one showed up at 12 o'clock. I called and complained and I was informed by another supervisor that the technician was in route and "would be there shortly." At 4:30 still no technician. I called and spoke with yet another supervisor who told me that she would have her supervisor contact me within 30 minutes. At 6:30 p.m. still no phone call. I called and complained.
The following day on Tuesday a new technician shows up at my door at 8:20 a.m. As I walked out the door he told me he needed to come inside. I told him there was no need to come inside until I knew if you could put the dish on a pole or not. He said "I can put the dish on a pole and if you let me do my job and be quiet you could say that I don't care what another technician told you. Now let me do my job." whereupon I walked away. I went in the house and called yet another supervisor. That supervisor showed up at my house shortly thereafter and he dealt with me from that point on. If it wasn't going to cost me over $300 to cancel my contract I would have told them to come get their equipment right then and there.
Even though the last Supervisor was professional and address my problems and installed my satellite dish on a pole as previously requested on the 27th of March I will never renew my contract with DirecTV nor will I ever recommend DirecTV. I have never dealt with such miscommunication and rude customer service representative as I have in the last 3 days with DirecTV.

I've made several attempts to have my whole home dvr problem resolved. At least 10 people I've talked to and no fix. I'm paying for this feature and feature has not been provided for 3 months now. Feel like robbery at this point. They would rather I cancel my service than resolve. Have a 2 hour call followed by a 1 hr call and about four 30+ calls and nothing to show. From techs, supervisors and managers no fix. The person before last offered to have a tech come out but said she couldn't set it up but rather a tech support person would have to put that in.
Called tech support today from work and apparently I started all over. Said I would have to go through troubleshooting again or that there would be a fee to have a technician out to my house. Would not recommend and I've been a customer since 2010 and a few years before that when at a apartment. Not sure if the merger with AT&T is the change in service but had better customer service before.

For months I've had a problem with them overcharging my account by $20. I've called and complained several times. They raised my price by $20 when I was under contract for the lesser amount. I called and complained again. This time they gave me discounts of roughly $20 good for 18 months. Yet when I got the new bill (twice) it was still at the raised rate. The person I talked to on the phone insisted it was a one-time only discount. When she finally looked into it she said I was right it was for 18 months. I have had it with these people. The next time they overcharge my bill will be the last time. I will get another company and never have anything to do with them again. I would NOT recommend anyone going with them for anything. If I could leave less than a one star rating I would do so.

Called 1-800-288-2020. Ask U-verse tech if we could get U-verse and he said no. We told him I had U-verse internet. He hung up. I called AT&T mobile. Ask customer service about it and she check and said I did have U-verse and we set it up. The Directv installer talk to the tech and the customer service lady and the TECH should be fired bad deal. No service anytime there is a severe thunderstorm. I reported this problem a least 4 time during the 11 months I had Directv. On a least 5 other occasions I didn't bother because there is nothing they can do about it. When I signed my 2 year contract I was told that this was not a problem, a lie. When I cancelled I was told that there is an early cancellation fee of $20 a month for each month remaining on the contract even though they didn't deliver the service that I expected. I paid because it was so frustrating losing the picture during a program and not being able to record a complete program. If you like this frustration go for it. If not, try cable if you have that option.
