Bad customer service. I have been out of tv service since storm blew by on 5-16-16. Tried several times to get someone to come out and fix problem but we keep getting appointments that no keeps or calls. If I could rate you no stars I would. This is worst customer service we have ever received. Everyone that is on phone is nice but these people are powerless to make a decision to help. They can only report the problem but if they did you figure someone of authority would call. NOPE! This is how companies lose customers and profit share and eventually lose the company.

If you can provide me cable, phone, and internet in my area next time I renew, I would happily become a customer, but I could find service with all three for only $20 more than I was paying you. Since my goal right now is saving money over quality of service, that's what I did. I'll check next May and see what you can offer me. Thanks again.

The worst decision I made was switching to DIRECTV and if not for the cancellation fee I would be gone by now. There are too many technical issues I have but here are a few. The dvr constantly has issues, I push fast forward and the show skips backwards to what I previously watched and the receiver constantly disconnects from the wireless signal. The menu loads incredibly slow and the app is by far one of the worst streaming apps I have used. There seems to be no fix for the app - when I call in all I get is "sorry sir we will escalate the issues to our engineers." Well the issue has been happening for 4+ months now with no fix in sight. I would of never left Dish Network if I knew about all of the problems I would have. The reason DIRECTV has the #1 customer service team is because they have to. They have so many issues to resolve that they need good people calming down pissed of customers. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH DIRECTV.

I ordered Directv 1 year ago when my local cable company went out of business. First had to pay a non refundable amount of $200.00. Rough but agreed. I was promised a genie box which would hold extra hours of recording. When tech arrived to install he had different equipment. He said for me to call, and it would be changed out. I called right after. I was told it would be corrected. Didn't happen. Was told I would have to wait 3 months or pay more money - $400. Full price. Could not afford that. Was then told "wait till 6 months". Then a year. A year has come and gone, asked to pay again, and was then told I would receive that money back. Hasn't happened. After over 10 hours on the phone with them problem is still not resolved. Very upset. All I want was what I was originally promised. Horrible customer service and support. Every person I have talked to, including supervisors have given a different story. Very unsatisfied customer!

Contractor came out to install. Lied and said supervisor was needed for approval of install. Would be back in an hour, had to run to a repair. Contractor never returned? Called in to see where he was and found out he no line of sight my install. CSR helped re-initiate order and get new install date.

Seems like when I call concessions I always have someone that sounds like "why are you bothering me" tone in their voice. I try to ignore but it gets old really fast. Usually my needs are met and that's the good part.

DirecTV is somehow getting away with nothing better than theft and as a consumer you are given no recourse whatsoever. I'm not talking about the termination fees or even services that weren't cancelled. They will add something to your bill and refuse to take it off whether you received the service or not. They charged for an NFL package that wasn't wanted or ordered, when called to cancel this package (before the season ever started) I was told after numerous phone calls the best they could possibly do was drop it from $300 to $75, basically "giving me a break" and only charging me for a quarter of the season. Mind you the season hadn't started, the actual programming was still cancelled, meaning not a single football game would ever be shown on their precious NFL Ticket yet I was still being charged for no reason whatsoever.
A few months later I was fed up enough to cancel their highly over priced service (by the way their internet packages with AT&T are just pitiful, almost as fast as dial up) and knowingly was going to pay an early termination fee which to me was well worth it just to get rid of them. A month later they added around $60 to my bill for "activity" - no rentals or activity of any kind was ever used, the box was disconnected and no services were available. This too they refuse to explain or remove. They will also take whatever payment they see fit to take right out of your account, leaving you no choice to even fight it.
The representative at the bank actually suggested closing my account and reopening a new one informing me the number of people currently fighting DirecTV over these same practices was "more than I'd even believe". The only way to stop their automatic withdraw was to close the account altogether, way too much of a headache for what amounted to awful service that dropped out every time it rained. There isn't a power on this planet that could persuade me to ever try anything offered by AT&T or DirecTV ever again. Beware, it isn't worth even trying it out, once they get their hooks into you you'll have no choice but to fight for months on end or just shell out a few hundred bucks for no other reason than they want it.

Had a bad experience from the beginning. Just want to say off the bat that I even told them that I heard when bad weather arrives the satellite goes out. They told me that it's a myth and not true, so I believed it. Come to find out our satellite goes out even when it's cloudy out. Another thing I was lied about is that you can rewind, pause live TV, yes you can only on main box in the house and not all channels, just a select few. These are the things they don't tell you. It's much extra to have their special genie box that does this. Also you can only watch on demand on this special box, if you want it in other rooms it's extra. Don't forget you sign a contract. Ours started at about 125 a month, and after 12 months it went up 100 dollars.
Whenever you try to get customer service it leads you all over the place and half the time your talking to a machine and pressing buttons. It's very frustrating and I'm not happy with this company. They lie to people, the only good thing was the Texas that came out. They told us the truth and was wondering why customer service told us the things we were told. I'm about ready to cancel my service. It all sounds good on paper, but once you have it, no. The so called genie box runs slow and sometimes freezes up. Don't do it.

An email said a review of my account suggested that as a recent customer to DirecTV I was eligible for a $200 visa card. However, she told me that in order to receive it I would have to cancel the order I just placed and reschedule which was unacceptable to me. She gave me a $100 credit.

I have been trying to get a DirecTV tech to come to my address for 4 weeks. Even was contacted by their loyalty department in Denver Colorado who promised a tech will be by, that was 5 weeks ago and no one has showed up. The supervisor's boss called, name is Suzanne and was very pleasant and professional and said someone will come by and to contact her but no one has showed up. We are business and have told them so but no response - still waiting to hear. They keep saying to rewire. But the tvs were working before the tech came and now they are not.

I spoke with a DirecTV rep while shopping at Costco. The rep was informative, courteous, pleasant and informative regarding the products he was presenting. I was not ready to make a change and wanted to do so comparisons as we had a limited budget. On several follow up trips to Costco the rep happened to be at the kiosk and remembered us as we passed reminding us of the offers. We made our decision two weeks later due to his politeness.

DirecTV hooked up service in my name by someone else. This person named Glenn called DirecTV and started service for them. The person didn't even use my name but made me responsible for the acct. I reported to DirecTV and cancelled service. I got a call from the retention center who offered me a $200 gift card to stay with them. I accepted their offer. UNBELIEVABLY they sent the gift to the guy who fraudulently hooked service! These people are incompetent. I am cancelling DirecTV and will NEVER use these people again!

He (Matt?) was careful to carefully pick up after himself and did a very good job of explaining my new service to my wife and I. He is a credit to your company.

I signed up for a full package with DirecTV about a year ago, due to my dissatisfaction with the high fees charged by Xfinity. I was told my monthly billing would initially drop to $120, and then after a three month period rise to $160 - permanently. This was all a bald-faced lie. It was $160 immediately, raised to $210 after three months, and raised again after one year to $260. This company is dishonest, deceptive and should never be used. I'm not stupid. I'm a science writer, and I know what I was told and what the written contract showed.
I hated Xfinity for its high costs and found out that DirecTV was even worse. Plus, you couldn't watch shows "on demand" without recording them first, which was a royal pain the ass. They never mentioned, and largely negated the value of on demand. Overall my experience was a dreadful ripoff. Avoid this company at all costs. If you think I'm a shill for some other company, refer yourself to "David **" at Oregon State University. I'm a real person and I hate bait-and-switch ripoffs and lies.

I had a planned move on 5/7. Called the DirecTV, part of AT&T so the move was to be seamless!! Called on 4/30 set up in 1 hour U-verse & DirecTV!! HA!! Fast Forward!! Service cancelled rescheduled over & over again! I finally got an appointment on Mother's Day 5/7. Tech was way distracted - was sure he could only get one Satellite (you need 3 to get any service at all). Next day adjoining neighbor was helpful - said he had a dish installed on the side of building (much better) due to trees on side bldg. He had moved across the bldg. Said his apt was vacant and I should use his dish! Set new appt week later 5/16 (was unable to escalate since it was less than 7 days), was suggested to use DirecTV account. (Impossible. Cannot access due to change over with AT&T shows my info incorrect. Cell # have only iPad cell number. Use Verizon but keeps putting in iPad number??)
So cannot change or receive temporary password only get notification I changed password. Really??? So no access!! No tech is capability to fix!! The tech showed up said tree branch was in way (didn't have order to even check on the dish available???). Okay I said "Let's go to apt manager's office now!!" I said "I need to change" (was in pajamas). He also said he needed to call supervisor and they would talk together. He never did either, he just walked out of the bldg. passed a lobby full of elderly who observed his departure not even stopping to talk with Manager. After waiting 45 mins (he did indicate he would call back) I'm a brain injury survivor so when stressed I sometimes get confused and agitated by prolonged stress. This has been an unrelenting problems!!
As of last night I was told I had to "start" over and the "next" appt available is 5/23!! I actually made my move appt on 4/30 - moved 5/6 and still waiting for an evaluation if they can or cannot give me service!! I need to wait again for someone to determine if "they" Can give me service!! So the rest of the tenants in my bldg have DirecTV. I left a note on door, went to office, manager was more than happy to trim branches if that was needed and was concerned what days the gardeners were to be on the premises. Again willing to accommodate.
This takes me up to the "long" day spent on the phone from 10:10 AM that is continuing right now!! I got a supposed appt from 12-4 pm which was confirmed via phone call saying tech will be here @ 2:30. Got a call from service office said the tech was at my door. Which door? They had sent him to my old address and said it was my fault. Why did 2 different techs show up on 2 different days and that was earlier in the week? Fast forward I tried to "move" up the date from 5/23. Was told by a Michelle, who identified herself as in charge of all tech scheduling said she would try to see if she could "out of her very busy schedule". Try to move my date up!!!
I asked what was her "title". As I mentioned she is in charge of everything. I asked what her region was - she said all (inquired all??). US? She said all! This makes me believe she's just making it up!! I hope the final supervisor who "promised me" he would be reviewing my calls - I hope they find out who finds pleasure "bully" people. So holding my breath I'll see & let you know if I will again be a happy DirecTV customer (have been since 1999) except since 4/30 to 5/ present 2016?

I just switched from Uverse (under AT&T) to DirecTV (also under AT&T). DirecTV did not give me what they offered. When I called to ask about the item that was part of what I agreed to over the phone, they were not willing to help with my issue. Wish I hadn't had the expensive installation and switched out of Uverse. Sadly, these 2 companies are under the same umbrella, but are vastly different in approach to customer service and ability to solve issues. Maybe that is why they were bought out by AT&T.

The installation technician that was sent to our house was a pleasure to work with. There was some confusion about payment for installation but that was all sorted out. I do have one reservation and that is simply that your home office did not communicate with your technician and I had to involve myself in your communications process.

Local AT&T store rep knew almost nothing about products she was selling, which is what led to phone call to Directv. DTV rep figured out her mistakes, fixed the issues, and saved me money on my bill. And best of all, no foreign accent to decipher.

During the initial sign-up, I was promised $10 a month off the bill as they had a partnership with an Internet provider. I was told to wait until Directv was installed before calling, however after making contact this offer was never an option. Very deceptive sales tactics.

Customer service was great, I received an email about a promotion I qualified for and even though they were currently installing they made sure to honor the promotion. The customer service agent made sure to add my account to the promotion even though it would be more difficult since it would give me a new account number and activity number. The install tech was great, he didn't mind that there were going to be changes to the account info and made sure to get the paperwork sent over to his office. Overall great experience, both sides worked hard at making sure I got what I needed regardless if it was more work and they did it with a smile.

Overall we have been satisfied with DirecTV. However after turning on our account after a 6 month suspension (we are snowbirds), we received a call from a rep from DTV with a special offer for Stars $13.99. After she rattled off the benefits, I said "OK thank you," she signed us up without my permission. I know she did not get the idea from the "OK thank you" based on how the conversation went. Check your bill if you received the call. Very unprofessional and fraud-like.

We setup our installation through AT&T. We needed a total of 5 rooms setup. At least 4 of the bedrooms needed service at any given time, and we alternate one of these rooms with the living room on a typical day. AT&T set us up with a Genie and 4 mini-genies. Sadly this meant only 3 bedrooms would ever function at any given time. I called DirecTV and explained the situation, and they were able to get it resolved quickly and efficiently. My husband, who was very weary of changing to a different service was even happy with the end result.

When trying to verify my order the next person was no help. Sounded like he was going to redo the order. I gave up and called again the next day. Then when I came in today there was a phone message. I tried to return. I followed the prompts 3 times and still it repeated the same thing. So I hung up and proceeded to answer the email. That process did the same thing. I have better things to do with my time. The young lady who helped me order the DirecTV and the next day the person who helped to make sure it was bundled were both great. The two other calls, which sounded like the same person, he or they had an accent like East-Indian. It seemed like he was going to try and make me redo the order himself. There again I hung up. I even had asked for billing and a supervisor. He said he was billing. That is when I got disgusted and hung up. 5 stars for first and last person. In between 1 star if that.

The guy that installed needs a raise. We had 2 babies crying, and old man running him over in a wheelchair and then the security alarm was going off. While he was installing DTV on 5 TVs It was a mad house for the poor guy. He was so nice and took it so well. He also installed the dish so the old man in the wheelchair could sweep off the snow. Give him a raise! Oh and we love DirecTV.

DirecTV made an attempt at installation of equipment at my locale. Installer advised me that blockages caused by trees would not permit reception of a signal. DirecTV assured me that I will receive full reimbursement of my deposit as installation did not take place.

Was sold a bundle package of cable, internet and security system. Technicians came to install and let me know there wasn't any internet for my area and that the security system wasn't a part of bundle. If I had known this I wouldn't have drove 3 hours to second home to have this installed and wasted everyone's time... especially the kind technicians that were already working late.

I have been with DirecTV since 2005. They like to tell me this every time I call. When I started with them they were great. In the past 5 years they have gone from an A to an F in my book. The customer Service is horrible. Takes five minutes just to get to a person, whether you push the buttons or just say customer service. Once you get to a actual person you have to answer tons of questions. Every time you get transferred you have to answer the same questions the person before them asked. Then they seem to avoid your questions like the black plague. They will say "Sorry" but never admit they made a mistake. They love to transfer you, and in the process drop the call so you have to start over.
They try to sell you new stuff instead of helping you with your problem like a lot of places they tell you things are covered then surprise you with hidden fees. They advertise great movies prices but then hid all the fees that you have to pay. When you call, it gets to a point it's not worth the extra $5 they charged you, because you waste so much time and aggravation you give up. Every time you get transferred you have to answer the same questions the person before them asked. It's horrible. I have never been able to call, get what I needed, answered or scheduled without the process taking at least 45 minutes and yes up to an hour half. I really use to give them great reviews. Now I'm going to be canceling my service with them after 11 years. Just knowing I have to call them sends my blood pressure through the roof.
I don't know if anyone other company is better but I will be trying. My options are limited since I live in the country and can not have cable. After the last couple of years of trying to call and receiving horrible customer service I'm done! Also they say they have great reviews, that is because if you take a survey with them they ask questions that they only know will give them good answers. Their Techs are great, the customer service center epic fail.

It definitely appears that AT&T has taken over the service department of DirecTV. Called today to add an additional receiver and they could not explain why I had to pay $99 for the box, plus a $50 upgrade fee (adding a box is an upgrade???) and then additional $42 installation fee in addition to the $7 a month they will charge for additional box. We have had DirecTV for a couple of years after switching from TWC. Recently one of the buttons on our DirecTV remote control stopped working properly and now no longer works at all. The remote has not been damaged. The button has just failed and unfortunately is a button used regularly. When I called DirecTV to tell them that the button on the remote control (that we have not had very long) was not working they told me my only options were to add a protection plan for another $8 per month and they would send us a new remote or I could buy another remote for $25.
I told them I could bring or send the remote in to show them everything works except that one button and it was nothing we did but their equipment that failed. They said it didn't matter and those were my only two options or they understood that I could cancel my service with them. With all of the reasons we switched from TWC to DirecTV. At least TWC replaced their equipment if it failed on their end. I am not pleased with the customer service at DirecTV I received and am now considering returning to TWC for better customer appreciation and service. I can no longer recommend DirecTV.

When I signed up with DirecTV I was told that I had to do a 2-year contract. I was told that the 2nd year would only increase by an additional $15 which was a lie. Six months after we started with them we added another tv. I just found out today that that extended my contract by an additional 2 years. Although it didn't protect the pricing from the first year. So now I pay over $100 per month for basic cable. When I paid $80 per month in the first year for every channel. Remember if it's too good to be true they are probably liars.

Sales team did a good job selling me package. Few customer related calls didn't fair so well. But customer service Chase handled my concerns and saved the day. Best part was the installers, Lamar and Gene. They did a fantastic job! They were very neat and worked well together. The only thing left is my surround sound. It wasn't hooked up. Help!

Overall, DirecTV is helpful and easy to deal with. Some reps are better than others, but getting a good one makes all the difference. Satellite service is always good, even with strong winds. We almost never outages.

I did not initiate this discussion, and I did not take notes however, let me just say I just spent 2 days, about 4 hours trying to get Directv. I have been transferred around the horn several new times on each attempt. Apparently my name was listed on some services as Rhene, and on some C. **. I was told to contact each department and get all the same, so that my services could be combined into one bill. I cannot even begin to explain all those calls. After doing what I was told to do, then I was told "oh, that does not apply for you. (Retired employee)."
Now I never asked for a discount, but when told I could have one, I was of course pleased. After hours and two days, if I understand I still have three bills. I do however have an appointment with Directv to come and install their service. I'm not sure why I'm getting it thru you when actually they are installing a dish and changing out my existing receivers. It's too much for me to explain, but if you would like to call me I will be glad to explain. I did find out I have not been receiving my discount on my service. This has happened several times since I retired. I do not mean to be rude, but whatever happened to one stop shopping. This is definitely a thing of the past. Sure a waste of my time and yours, I would think.

I understand you are now with AT&T. I would of not left the service I received over the last Year. They are very unpeople unfriendly company. I knew my promotion was running out so I call them. They made me call them back 8 days later. They said they could do nothing for me. My new bill was going to be 167.14 a month. My current bill was 95.17 - Really. They force me into taking DirecTV or another cable company. I'm sure you haven't heard this before. The Rep help me get the new service. It cost $25.00 more a month - thing that bugs the ** out of me. 2 days after completing the service AT&T keeps send me a Promotion deal for triple deal TV Internet and Phone 89.95 everyday on my E-mail. Great Customer Service (NOT). I should have been offered this in the first place. We Would have saved your company a lot $$$.

My husband called customer service for my 80+ year old parents to discuss downsizing their package with DirecTV and accomplished nothing. He tried to explain that they watch very few channels, need no movie channels, no HD, none of the perks. The representative kept trying to sell and upgrade, said there was nothing that could be done. My parents pay almost as much as we do with Comcast, and we have HD, movie channels, etc. and a security system! My mother refuses to change service because their ridiculous company is all they have been with for years and it would confuse her to change. Way to go DirecTV, take full advantage of a longtime, excellent, elderly customer!! We would never use you, even if there was no other service, would rather go without!

I had a 2 year subscription with Directv. If I could have canceled without being charged $499.00 I would have. This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with when it came to removing a charge that should of never happened. I finally finished the 2 years and canceled service on April 1st, 2016. I gave my new address for the final bill. I received the bill on Apr 10th. Balance due was $27.29. On April 30th I received another bill. Balance due was 32.29. This included a $5.00 late. No problem.. I was late and agreed to the fee.
On May 15th $82.08 was deducted from my bank account for 2 adult movies and a MBA event that was supposedly watched in Sept/Oct of 2015. I never ordered or watched the event or movies. I called Directv and got absolutely nowhere with anyone I spoke with. I asked why after a month and half after I canceled service they would charge me for such movies and even that was suppose to have been seen 8 months earlier. I was told the technicians check the sim card and these items were found on the card. How does this happen?? And how does Directv get away with this practice?? I did not order these items and have no way to prove it. I work hard for my money and pay my bills. $82.00 may not seem like much but to me it's a lot.
They were so unorganized as to what I had for equipment and what I was suppose to send back to them. At first I was told I would get a return box to send the whole box back then I spoke with someone else and was told "Nooo we will send you an envelope and you can just send the sim card back and recycle the box." I did the latter of the 2. When talking to someone about the 82.00 charge she told me I had 2 boxes which I did not. Then she says "Oh yeah you do only have 1 box." Really??? I would never recommend nor do business with Directv again.

After initiating a "bundle package" with AT&T for the cable television services provided by DirecTV (through AT&T) and AT&T's internet services, the services were unbundled by DirecTV due to an error on their part, within their systems. After approximately five phone calls to AT&T directly and approximately seven phone calls directly to DirecTV, their error was never corrected and I was sent a final bill of over a thousand dollars that was eventually taken from my debit card.
After being on the phone for nothing less than a minimum of two hours (and a couple of the calls lasted over two hours) each representative and supposed supervisor told me that there was nothing that could be done regarding the removal of the account being placed under a bundle option through AT&T and that they would need me to pay the entire past due amount before they can even renegotiate any further actions on their end. I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau as well as with the Illinois Attorney General's office and I'm waiting for the results of my complaint.

Called to sign up and was lied to by the person whom was going to set up service. Got paperwork via email and seen it was not what she told me. Called customer service and validated she lied. Meanwhile a service tech is stuck on a dirt road in which I told the lady whom lied to me to not allow them to come down that road. I suggest since they have merge with AT&T to clarify and watch what you sign and don't believe what they say!

I was having an HOA issue regarding my dish being installed. I had to reschedule right before the techs arrived. I felt awful. DIRECTV rescheduled my appointment with no problem and no fee. I really appreciated that.

This is our first time with DirecTV/AT&T service. We were referred by my sister who recently signed up and is enjoying the service and saving money. The sales rep did a great job of explaining the current promotion. We were able to set an appointment for installation very quickly at a convenient time for us. The installers were on time and did a great job of explaining everything to us. I did place a call to customer service before the install to upgrade the service to a different package. That process was simple and we now have the package we need thanks to customer service rep Stephen. All in all the entire team performed extremely well and we look forward to a long time with DirecTV/AT&T.

Over seven years ago, I started using DirecTV. Often my bill would go up for no reason. I would have to go back to the basic service for a few cycles till it got straightened out and then add premium channels again. I never ordered a movie by phone. These billing discrepancies got worse and worse till I finally cancelled my service and got hit with a early termination fee. These companies don't realize a contract works two ways. They provide a service for an agreed to amount. THEY are the ones who broke the contract. I discovered they had over billed me for $700 over a period of years for services I didn't receive. An agent with their company spent two hours on the phone with me to make this determination. Then her supervisor told me I couldn't recoup my loss because "You didn't report it in time". Well, I just found out! So I cancel my service.
Now AT&T owns DirecTV. Did they know that a portion of the 'assets' of DirecTV were contested billing problems? If so then they knew before the fact and came up with a plan to collect. They convinced people to get on "Combined Billing" and as people would try to continue to right the wrongs of DirecTV, AT&T BLACKMAILS them by turning off their AT&T services until they pay the old contested DirecTV accounts. There is a possibility AT&T was not aware of this problem before buying out DirecTV. This is where the "Who knew and when" part comes in. Did AT&T already know, make a low ball offer to take over DirecTV with this plan to blackmail their customers? I can readily see, as a former manager of several large corporations, that AT&T has a major, major problem here as more and more people are blackmailed for contested DirecTV billing.
I know AT&T is no angel. They have had over 8000 complaints just in the Atlanta area in the past several months. Someone "From the President's Office" calls the BBB complainers and tries to buy them off so they can say some of the complaints have been satisfied. Nevertheless AT&T tried to bilk people out of their money. And now with this DirecTV problem I can see a nationwide class action lawsuit looming against AT&T. My neighbors that I have asked had the same problem with DirecTV. Bills increasing without notice and with no reason. Some of them are furious. I had to call AT&T last week to try once again to resolve this before canceling my AT&T internet service. I had already cancelled my DirecTV service. I was on the phone for one hour and forty minutes waiting. Sometimes you just get cut off.
So is this another of AT&T's sinister plans to keep people from making the call. Do they figure that most people will just go ahead and pay rather than spending all this time on the telephone? I would say without hesitation that AT&T will suffer a disastrous class action lawsuit unless these problems are fixed and fixed now. People whose services with AT&T who are being cut off due to DirecTV's problems are simply going to start using someone else's service. It seems that AT&T thinks they have enough of a monopoly to keep enough customers on board. WRONG! This two pronged approach, a class action lawsuit as well as the customers jumping ship in droves, will bring down one of the largest companies in the USA. You heard it here first. I had only been an AT&T customer for 52 years. So much for loyalty.

Used to be the best. Used to be perfect. Now, when AT&T have it, DIRECTV turned into garbage. I have to reset it every other day, otherwise I don't have picture or sound, or both. Forget about set up DVR to record show. You'll get the bunch of pixels. Customer Service is friendly and ready to help. Unfortunately they don't speak English. But they always ask you about the weather in your area. As soon as my contract is over, I'm done with AT&T... or sorry... DIRECTV, which is very sad, because I just remember the channel's number.

DirecTV verbally told me I was on a month to month contract after I took my account off of hold and I specifically asked them this. Apparently they lied to me and when they came out to hook up my TV's they secretly changed me to a contract. When I called to cancel I found out about this and it was very painful. Cost me $140. On the phone for well over an hour. None of their supposed customer service people would help me. Lying and Cheating. Nice way to do business DirecTV. Do not use DirecTV if you ask me!!!

Have been with AT&T MANY YEARS. AT&T has been in existence for decades. They care, are fair, and stand behind their business and products. I've had several different phones and so has my family. I was with DirecTV for over 8 years and never had a late payment. I signed up for their pro plan which gives free repair service for $8.00 a month. The second time I used it for repair problems and an upgrade which they said I qualified for with no charge. Long story short they charged me over $130.00 for an upgrade and a new satellite dish. They also charged me $10.00 per month extra for the upgrade. I refused to pay and they discontinued my service. I am in a remote area and the TV services are limited to Hughes and Dish. Hughes has horrible reviews but will look into Dish. Otherwise will do without.

Overall I am very pleased with all communication I have had with Directv. I have had conversations with two of their employees and could not be more pleased. Courteous and well informed while answering my questions and going out of their way to be as helpful as possible. No pressure involved to upgrade me beyond my interest. Price was a big factor and the salesperson was not pushy. I am telling all my friends to consider switching to Directv while the gettin is good! The customer service girl was so helpful while answering my questions. Don't remember her name but was out of the Tucson, AZ office. This has been my best experience dealing with cable/dish/phone internet service.

It turned out that the install could not be done due to restrictions in place by the apartment complex and the positioning of my apartment bldg. Turned out to not be a clear line of sight for the dish. The installer showed me that without a doubt there just was no way for him to properly install the service. As a retired service technician I was able to see and understand what he was saying was true. Everyone involved was great. I will just stay with U-Verse. Just the breaks of the situation.

My bundle with U-Verse had expired and my monthly premium was going up $50. I call to see about lowering my cost or I was switching to Time Warner. She spent a lot of time explaining the benefits of DirecTV and convinced me to switch. I hope she was honest with me and didn't oversell the service.

I was a XFINITY customer for 10 yrs but they were not available to where I located. I got DirecTV and immediately noticed how "unclear" menu is - many advertising channels dispersed in between regular channels. DVR disconnects from internet sporadically. Remote has minimal options. Just a poor design all around.

I have been a DirecTV customer for 15 years and have loved their service and excellent customer service. Since AT&T purchased DirecTV, the customer service is now outsourced to an Asian country, making difficult to quickly get problems resolved. I never had a statement problem before AT&T ownership. Now, every month, my statement has been incorrect with additional charges! I always use to be able to contact customer service within minutes. Now, it can take 20 minutes on hold to reach customer service, and the Asian CS people are difficult to understand and seem to have a difficult time resolving issues! So far, today, I have wasted 40 minutes trying to resolve an unauthorized charge and I am still waiting to talk to a supervisor. Sadly, AT&T is ruining DirecTV, like they have with anything that AT&T gets involved with!
