The app sucks, tried signing in 50 times to view my paycheck, it keeps bringing you to sign in page & never lets you in & I'm using the correct password. They need to fix this. It's unfair to the employees that work for the companies that use ADP for payroll
Hello Monique,
I am sorry to see your concerns. If you could please clear the cache of your phone and then resetting the app? You can do this by clicking on your profile picture in the upper left corner, then Settings, and then Reset ADP Mobile. This should fix the issue you are having.Thank you, JC ADP Client Experience

I have been using ADP for my business for about 2 years now and have not one good thing to say about them. It's impossible to speak to someone on the phone. You can leave phone messages, email messages and nobody returns your calls. They made a mistake on my State Unemployment tax information which cost me $32K. We used Paychex for 25 years before switching to ADP. Paychex did make its fair share of mistakes but all the mistakes they made in 25 years, ADP can make in one payroll. I also contacted them to handle my insurance and benefits and that department hasn't called back ever.
Hello Tim,

On a Monday, my employer deposited funds into an account. However, on Tuesday, the ADP Money Network closed my account and refused to transfer the funds to my newly opened account on the same day. I was informed that the check had been mailed to my old address on the same day the account was canceled. The cancellation process was expected to take 3 to 5 business days, and the new check would take an additional 10 to 14 business days to arrive. This resulted in me being left without funds, as the funds were not transferred to my new account.
Good morning, Richard –
It sounds like you actually need to reach Money Network. If so, I believe you can find their information at https://www.moneynetwork.com/edd/faqs/index.html. Their phone number is listed as 800-684-7051.
Should there be anything that you need from ADP (Automatic Data Processing), please send a Private message and we would be happy to help.

Updated on 10/04/2025: Absolute nothing, cancelled the plan via email five months ago! Not hearing anything back, called several numbers and finally directed to the right department, still being charged $485.00 each month, only to be told, by a very unpleasant lady, The plan can only be terminated by phone! There is a sixty day termination period and you’ll be charged a $1,500.00 termination fee....?
Original Review: Do not sign up for their 401K plan, it’s a complete rip off, charging you up the yin yang for no service and if you decide to terminate, they’ll charge you additional $ 1500.00 termination fee! Plus an additional two months fee! You’ll be so much better off elsewhere!
We were sorry to hear of your experience but upon receipt of your review and with the additional information you provided us privately, we were able to engage our 401k team to assist.
It is our understanding that one of our 401k leaders has connected to discuss and address all outstanding items. We hope this resolves all issues to your satisfaction.

The experience was bad from the start. The registration process is extremely long and complicated, with several forms to fill out and sign. Then, the platform is really outdated and not user-friendly. But the worst part is that they never fulfilled their responsibility to submit my summary to Revenu Québec, even though they clearly wrote to me that they had produced and submitted it. Even after repeatedly asking them why the system indicated a delay, I ended up having to pay a penalty because of them. They refused to admit their fault, even though I had clear evidence of their misleading emails. Their reason was that I had terminated my service with them, but their emails were sent after the end of our agreement.

I work hard for my money in order to take care of my family, now we are facing eviction because of this horrific experience. No one seems to care about what's happening and that's what's so alarming especially in these current times.

Hi Quentin,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I understand how keeping track of passwords and having to change them can be time consuming. My employer changed over to ADP, most of the employees are not happy with it. When it comes to either borrowing money or just taking out from your 401K plan. They will NOT do wire transfers. Only checks in the mail, no matter the amount. I bet they take wire transfer from the companies that use them though. Pretty shady imo!

Last year they took money from my paycheck for 2 months then my office had to call to say I had not authorize any 401K deductions, so they stop AND NEVER REIMBURSED ME THE MONEY. Now again they are deducting money for 401k WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION and when to try to talk to them they want to talk to an authorize person in my office to talk to me but they didn't need the authorized person to take my money. They used to always screw up my employees' pay. A lot of times they hire couriers out of the bay area, over 100 miles away to drive my payroll to me, when they could've just printed the paychecks locally (lots of places do this). My employees used to have to wait 2 or 3 pay periods to finally get direct deposit. I gave ADP detailed instructions on how to enter the secured facility, but they still screwed up and often left the payroll package outside the gate on the public sidewalk and called the job done. Even though this job was shoddy, they still charged for the service.
Now they have an online system that doesn't work sometimes. I put in for all my benefits, but they didn't care, my boss had to contact ADP, but they made me do it instead, then put me through to a scam center (overseas call center) where it turns out nothing was wrong, ADP was just going to wait until I complained, to start my benefits. Since that day, I've been receiving daily spam calls about medical alert devices, probably because your call center shared my info. Their inbox has short messages that don't actually give me any useful info.

Recently my work switched to a new ADP system since the old did not allow us to request vacation time and luckily I took a screenshot of my accrued vacation hours because now that everything is in the new system I'm missing hours. Also I noticed that there was 1 week of new accrual missing and my HR person knew about the 1 week of accruals missing and she sent ADP a 2nd request with a spreadsheet but they still haven't updated it yet. Unfortunately my HR person was a little confused about my other note with the carryover balance missing hours but if I don't get those back I will submit a formal complaint against ADP because stealing accrued vacation hours is fraud.

I only wish no stars were an option. Two years of issues with no real help. We are tired of asking for help and having our 'specialist' send us instructions that are incorrect, not applicable, or completely unclear. This business is a joke. They will do nothing. They try to turn everything back onto the customer. ADP needs to remember that they work for me! Tax issues have been pending for 2 years. They said they couldn't move forward because of missing information; you don't need the information if the employees were not here at the time of the issue. Did the person 'helping' (I use this term loosely) even read what was sent to them?
I waste more time providing them with information about things they screwed up to begin with. One thing they know well is how to deflect everything. I know a few ADP employees who are at the Olympic level at this. When does this stop? How do we hold them accountable? They don't care; we will just be replaced by another business that was lied to repeatedly during the sales pitch. All of the answers to these complaints are just lip service. I can call 10 times daily and still have nothing to show for it!

We are currently stuck in a 3 year contract with ADP, unfortunately promises made about what their system was capable of, and their customer service were very misleading. To date (8 months in) and the implementation and functionality of the system has been a nightmare. From missed/incorrectly filed taxes, to incompatibility with reports, or lack thereof, as well as lack of basic functionality is extremely frustrating as a practitioner. I would urge anyone looking for a new payroll provider to be very cautious in switching to ADP.

I am annoyed I even have to put 1 star. This company is by far the absolute WORST. The rumors about poor customer service are true beyond belief. You literally get no responses from anyone, they charge your account with no notice fraudulently then if you notice they say they will refund but have yet to do so, after they sign you up, promise you the world, and implement you will never hear from them again. I am only writing this review to save other companies from the agony we have endured, and we only ran with them for 1 year. Can you imagine? DO NOT use this company!

Worst business decision I ever made. They are overpriced, non stop trying to 'upsell'. 3 different logins for 3 different portals. One of which I have NEVER been able to access (one for payroll, one for the 401K and one for myself as an employee- that is the one I cannot get in to). My old payroll company had ONE login, and I could switch to employee view. Should not have left them. Customer Support is overseas of course. Absolutely despise this company, it gives me so much angst in trying to run my business.

The worst company ever to deal. No designated person, always a wait in the que. People you are connected to are in another country i.e. Philippines, India and there is a language barrier and connection issue. The system is not as straight forward. You have to always modify a task or if you need to create a report so many steps and time. Too much time wasted with this company and the whole process calling the 1-800 number with ID requests 2X. Once with the automated attendant the second with whoever answers. Should be more up to date with technology by now.

Working with ADP has been one of the worst experiences I have had with any company. ADP does not have departments that communicate. Do not expect the banking department to speak with the payroll department to ensure your funds are being withdrawn or disbursed correctly. Nor will they attempt to ensure that the calculations across all their reports to be accurate at any time.
If a correction is made to an employee's individual w-2. That correction will not appear on any report. Their 401k department continuously changes agents, and they can do nothing for you as well. A previous employee that has an address listed in Phoenix Arizona has been on my account for years, for which they charge a monthly fee for, because their system seeing it as a foreign address. This company could care less what size company you are as long as they continue to get paid. I hope this company goes bankrupt for their lack of work and customer care. Worst company ever.

ADP payroll is worst company when it comes to support, service and technical support. On the website there is presence of sales phone number and chatbot etc. There are not separate phone numbers for technical support, account support etc. You have to go through multiple hoops to get to anyone. Their automated phone waste your time by telling unnecessary info before you make selection for example today it is talking about Martin Luther King Day, W2 and 1099 etc when I did't even need that info and called for technical support. For new client they have lot of people to call/email you day and night to get you sign for services. Once you sign for service then everyone disappears.

The biggest problem I had was with the retirement services. They were very expensive and they were horrible at any communication. I never could get a good explanation of the fees after asking multiple times. No matter how hard we tried I could never get them to deal with my manager so I (the owner) had to deal with all issues with them. When trying to cancel, they would not cancel the retirement until into 2025, making it impossible to switch to another plan rather than a 401 K which I would never do again based on the apparent high fees. The amount deducted monthly for the retirement was way more than the contributions and the matching amounts. And the cancellation fee was over 1000.00 (that is just standard for them they said- it was not an early cancellation fee).
I would also say that ADP fees were ridiculously high as well. After checking into other companies, they are way above others. We have switched to Paychex. So far they have been great. Very communicative (as opposed to ADP). My advice-DO NOT do business with these people. They are too big and just don't care about their customers at all.

I opened a wine bar, in Spring TX in November 2021. I initially sought payroll help from Paychex and switched to ADP in November 2022. In retrospect, it was a huge mistake. On 4/3/23, I received an IRS notice that ADP filed Form 941 for the 4th quarter of 2022 and Form 944 should have been filed instead. I submitted notice to ADP and received a reply on 4/13/23, they would contact me about the next steps. On 4/20/23, I received an email from ADP indicating they resolved the problem. I received notice from the IRS on about 9/6/24, that I had not filed a 2022 Form 944 tax return. I submitted it online through the ADP portal. I then received an invoice (dated 9/6/24) in the mail (on or about 9/10/24) from ADP that I owed $11,182.06 in taxes for 2022, and they would be debiting my bank account on 9/16/24, for this amount.
I contacted ADP by phone on September 10, 2024, and via email through my account on the ADP portal. I asked for an explanation on how they calculated this amount, and they did not have permission to debit my account until I had documentation to substantiate I owed this money. When I did not get a response, I called ADP back on 9/12/24. I pleaded that I needed to speak to someone regarding this matter. Once again, I stated they did not have permission to debit my account. I never heard a peep from ADP. I contacted ADP on Friday, 9/13/24, to get an email address to where I can send in writing that they were not authorized to debit my account on Monday, September 16, 2024.
I retained counsel, an attorney and CPA to help me resolve my problem as I was getting nowhere with ADP. On Monday, 9/16/24, ADP debited my account for $11,182.08 which was returned NSF. But even worse, this caused my payroll tax deposit for the payroll period ending 9/13/24 to be returned NSF as well. I had to wire the payroll tax deposit on 9/17/24 and it cost me a $30 wire fee. That same week the IRS confirmed I had over 12K in payments, but no tax return to know how to apply the monies. After back-and-forth communication between my attorney and ADP’s attorney, ADP acknowledged they made a mistake and paid the $11,182.08 in error and would now need to apply for a refund with the IRS. ADP “advanced” the payment and then tried to collect from me. They rushed to submit the return without any input from me, as the client.
To add insult to injury, on 10/10/24, I started to process payroll, and I received an error message to contact ADP. I called client services and was transferred twice, and no one could help me. I was told by the third person I spoke to, it was regarding the $11,182.08 that I had not paid to ADP. I was then transferred to a fourth person; she was not available. I emailed ADP about my payroll issue online through the portal. No one ever called back or responded via email. My attorney contacted ADP’s attorney and was able to get the payroll hold lifted in time for me to process payroll. I have incurred thousands of dollars in attorney fees because of ADP’s negligence, failure to timely address my issues, and all-around poor customer service.
My attorney has asked for reimbursement of his attorney fees I paid him, and ADP’s attorney refused stating the terms and conditions of their contract precludes them from paying his attorney fees. My attorney has recommended I file a lawsuit to challenge ADP’s position and sue ADP for breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, gross negligence, violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, negligent misrepresentation, fraud, for attorney fees and to request actual and exemplary damages.
