Select Auto Protect is complete scam and I can't believe they are still in business. I was told at purchase that I could easily get a prorated refund if I cancelled early. I called and had all required documentation. I was told that I was entitled to no refund based on my car. My Mercedes had never needed any sort of repair, and I was within my right to ask for this prorated refund, based on the contract. It is useless to argue with them. Absolutely do not do business with them. They make up their own policies as they go along. Based on their lies, do not expect anything from them.

It's a big SCAM!!! Stay away!!! They pretend that they are reviewing but draggggggg---then sent an inspector when they know that they are not going to cover. The part is not covered so why they bother sending an inspector which took five days then waiting for a report...all that when to begin with they say we do not cover this part.

Beware! SCAM!!! Do not purchase a warranty through this company. They promise you everything until you pay them. Once you pay them, you're done! They won't approve any claims! They won't even respond to you if you want to cancel and get even part of your money back. They probably only have a few people working for them as you speak to the same person every time you call and there's no one above that person to help assist, explain why they deny the claim, and if you want a second opinion on your claim, you're responsible for hiring someone and submitting docs for reimbursement which will never happen because they still won't approve claims.

It's one thing that warranty companies want to pay out the least amount possible but to deny claims based off of their own adjusters "assuming" wrong is absolutely unethical. Take it from their existing customer who got royally screwed thinking they might actually be better than what others say about them. Nope, I'm also a fallen victim of their scam.

I purchased a "platinum" 5-year warranty from this company for $3,500 in May, 2023. I was told multiple times during the sales process that I could cancel at anytime and receive a pro-rated refund for any unused time, based off of my initial $3,500 purchase. I called to cancel less than 9 months into the policy (I never submitted a claim and just decided I didn't need it). My prorated refund was supposed to be greater than $3,000. However, I was told by Jon ** that I'd be receiving $1,100 off of a "market rate" price set by them. When I asked how this was calculated and to validate it, he refused to tell me, simply replying "this is what it is."

I followed up 6 times in emails and phone calls, and received no further explanation. I asked where in the contract it stipulates this "market rate," (despite being assured by the salesperson Roger ** that the proration amount would be based off of the $3,500 rate) Jon ** could not point to the source of this secret calculation. It was as if he just wanted me to accept his diminished offer without asking questions ($2,000+ less than what I was owed and represented to me during the sales pitch by Roger **). I finally gave up and told them to just send me the check, I was exacerbated by the runaround. John said it was being sent out that day (I have all this in email exchanges).

After calling multiple times a week and receiving no response, and after emailing many times, a full month passed. I finally got Jon to answer his cell phone. He responded "yeah, I thought that was sent out...Are you sure you just don't want to keep your policy?" After telling him I had kept meticulous records of all our interactions and would be contacting an attorney, he finally agreed to send out the check. This company should not be in business. They misrepresented the refund policy, lied about the proration process, and lied throughout the cancellation process in hopes I'd "give up."

Scam. Get whatever you can back. I felt good about purchasing Select Auto Protect. Then I had a claim. That is when you find out you are being scammed. Just ask Jon ** the head man why he denied claim #**. My Gold policy should of paid so I asked Jon. He would not give me a reason. Just laugh like while saying Denied, Denied, Denied. Like a spoiled child getting away with fraud. It's bad enough your car breaks down but to find your Select Auto Protect is a scam makes everything much worse. Just try to cancel your policy right now. You will see it is worth little. Then they try to scam you again. Jon said better to keep your policy than for what you are getting back. Keep what Denied, Denied, Denied If you're not in don't. If you're in get out with what you can.

Our two cars have been covered since November 9, 2023. The first time using the coverage we called and were told we did not have to submit an estimate that the company would pay directly with a credit card. We have a zero deductible, however, the total bill was $433.32 of which Select Auto Protect paid $266.00 and we were left with a bill of $167.32. A big surprise when we picked up the car.

The Select Platinum Plan has far exceeded my initial expectations. When I encountered issues with my car's intricate electronics, I was concerned about the potential cost. However, Select Auto Protect went above and beyond to address the problem swiftly and professionally. Their responsiveness and efficiency in handling my claim were truly remarkable. Without a doubt, this plan is an absolute must-have!

I was promised the best auto warranty in the business. They put me through the multiple steps to file a claim and after three weeks told the dealership (not me) that my claim was denied. Since then I've tried at least a dozen times to reach the salesperson or the person handling my claim. No one has yet called me back.

Will not cover a claim that happened after the transmission failed, after the warranty was in effect. Spoke to managers, apparently they wanted to send me money back instead. The manager was completely unprofessional, and Adam is a dirty salesmen.

Stay away. Completely dishonest. Won't pay the claim. Won't be around - they will be gone with your money. I had Platinum coverage. Had a power steering go out. They would not cover it because there was an unknown fluid leak in a complete rack and pinion one piece. The dealer was flabbergasted. This is not a real company. This is fraudulent. Try anyone else. I don't think they are all this bad.

Be aware that they offer a 30-day money back guarantee but you cannot have any repairs until you reach the 30-days and 1,000 miles. After two payments I was denied a fuel module repair on my Audi. The repair totaled less than my two payments already made. They denied it stating that the module was not covered under the fuel system. The warranty lists vaguely that the fuel system is covered on their top tier Platinum warranty. When I requested my money back they only offered to provide one payment back. Completely unacceptable when a policy is costing well over $2k to begin with.
