I took my car to NTB for struts. Turned out not to be the problem. They said it was a controller arms, to replace those. They said they align the car. It wasn't aligned. The control arms kept making sounds. Took it two more times. They replaced their struts two more times and after it was still making noise I took it to a professional dealership and they said the control arms had not been secured. The bolts were extremely loose. If I drove the car much longer the wheel would have fallen off. I went back to NTB, told him the situation and asked him to align it properly and they again after the third alignment did not align properly. It still pulls to the right they. Might be good at tires but not good at other things.

My family and I use the NTB in Northfield often, for oil changes, batteries, tires, etc. It is very easy to set up an appointment online, and I love that they are open on Sundays. Coupons are available for services as well. The staff is helpful and friendly, and they do good work in a reasonable amount of time. The prices are reasonable as well, much less expensive than a dealership. I definitely recommend the NTB in Northfield.

Horrible customer service. 3 weeks of having my car Regis, the manager called and said, "We can’t fix it, come get it." SMH, Bob, the owner, had told me a few days ago he ordered a sensor. WTH. Avoid this place at all costs.

My experience is great. The employee was kind and well educated in his job. The staff at NTB are hard workers. They are outside in the heat working with their hands to fix cars to the their best ability. I have had a couple car problems like a busted tire and torn rotors. They have done a fabulous job providing me with great feedback helping to find the problem that was with my car. They were honest and work extremely hard to fix my car. I would highly recommend NTB for future car repairs because they are highly well educated professionals.

I went in to get tires. I was told it would take bout 2 hours or 3 to get it done. I left the car. He said he will call when they're done. He called to see about more work. He was told no. That was 3:30. They never called when there was finished. I went to get my car and they was close. Now I left with no car and no job. 🤦🏽♀️ The lack of communication.

A tire on my car was losing air every few days, but I could not see anything wrong with it. I brought it in to NTB in Beachwood, Ohio last evening at 5PM. Kenny looked to see what the problem was and discovered a tiny screw imbedded in the center of the tread. He informed me that the tire could be repaired, so I wouldn't need a new one. I was in and out, in under 30 minutes after he did a great job for me as a drop-in, near the end of the day, which I really appreciate. Any future tire concerns, this is where I'll go.

I dropped by in person very early on the last day of March for an inspection and was told that there were 3 cars ahead of me (dropped off overnight) and the wait would be up to 3 hours. With no option to leave car and return later I told “George” I would wait (brought a book). Within minutes I noticed that the inspecting mechanic had my car in the garage and about 45 mins later he was done with a thorough inspection (was able to view through window in waiting room). Great customer service! Friendly folks - each of the employees who arrived to work greeted us customers as they went into the garage. This is NTB on Hull Street in Midlothian.

Hi, I wanted to share my recent experience at NTB in Columbia, Maryland, where I had the pleasure of speaking with Joival, the service manager. I went in with a flat tire and realized I also needed a new set of tires, which can be quite overwhelming. From the moment I arrived, Joival was attentive and took the time to understand my situation. He assessed my flat tire and discussed the various options available for replacing all four tires, considering my driving habits, vehicle type, and budget. His professionalism and in-depth knowledge made the entire process much smoother.
I truly appreciated how he didn't rush me and ensured I felt comfortable with my choices. His recommendations were thoughtful, and I felt confident in the quality of service I was receiving. It’s refreshing to encounter someone who genuinely cares about helping customers. Thanks to Joival's expertise and support, I left NTB feeling satisfied and safe on the road with my new tires. I highly recommend this location for anyone in need of tire services!

Brought my car to check a tire that keeps deflating, they recommended to change at least 2. They said they have an offer, buy 3 get 1 free. So why not, I got that offer. They installed 4 tires, then comes alignment, the buy 3 get 1 free will apply only if I get the alignment, I know new set of tires needs alignment, so I said go ahead with it. Then, they said, they can't do alignment unless new tie rods are installed, and estimated 300$ for the tie rod. So, I told them to go ahead with it. Then they called me, telling me that the tie rod is 600$, not 300 as estimated and showing in my receipt. One mechanic even told me to Google it to find out. Again I said go ahead with it.
Then, they called me, telling me that they have an issue, with the steering wheel, they can't do the alignment. They said that somebody did something on the steering wheel before, and they can't figure it out. In short, they don't know what to do, and can't do the alignment. At this point, including the tires, estimate is 1200$, for originally, 1 tire that was deflating. That's NTB in Mitchellville road, Bowie. The car is still there and the geniuses are still figuring out what needs to be done. I will sell that car afterwards, after NTB mishandled it, I don't trust that it is still safe to drive.

On March 3, 2025 I had 4 tires replaced and an oil change on my 1997 Ford f350. I explained to the gentleman that I was low on funds and couldn't pay for it until I receive my first check from my new job I had just started. The store manager explained to me that I could get a loan through flex shopper. I explained to him that I am computer illiterate and asked for help applying for the loan and he helped somewhat. After the service was done I was still waiting for flex tire to approve me. I was told to resubmit the bill to flex tire by taking another picture of the bill. I was trying to do what I was told but when I tried to talk to the manager he seemed to be to busy to help me on a personal level. He said do this then do that... I just wanted to get this taking care of so I could go home. So I just sat back down and waited to be helped. Long story short story everything worked out and I left.
That Same afternoon I received a customer review request concerning my overall experience with the service I'd received and I filled it out and submitted it. My review was not a bad review. I rated my experience a good one, the only bad mark was the question about something to do with answering my questions 🤔 or something to that effect. Ten minutes after I sent the review your manager called me personally and began to belittle me. About why I gave him that review how lucky I was because he gave me a $300.00 discount and I was wrong to send my review.
When someone coming to your place of business and you ask for some honest feedback and you call me to personally harass me. I had a great experience with your company until your manager contacted me and made me fill like a piece of 💩. For that I will be posting my experiences with your management on my Facebook page and any other social media platforms! I'm concerned with how my private review was turned into a new way of harassing your consumers if they don't like a review they received.

Just wanted to hop on here and leave a review on my recent experience with NTB in Mentor Ohio. First off Thanks to Mgr Steve ** for being so helpful, and completely professional. I will only remain a longtime customer because of the integrity he showed. Short of the long.. I had four new tires put on a few months back and after a very short time they were unbelievably bald. I won’t get into the negative of the situation at first, only that the district mgr is aware and will hopefully address these issues with the front desk guys. They both need to take a couple pages out of his book! Customer service 101 & how to display common courtesy and professionalism while on the clock!
So at the of the day the bald tires were completely under warranty, Steve was able to warranty the tires out after seeing with his own eyes the wear down was unacceptable. Rightly so. I also had my vehicle aligned, checked out and it’s now safe to drive again! My recommendation to anyone, stay away from no name economy tires (which they say are fine), spend a little more money, and always ask for an alignment, they do not automatically include with installation, offer or suggest when replacing tires which I think is strange.

I purchased tires for my GMC Sierra truck sometime in the last 12 months. I came in for a tire rotation and they never put a locking lug nut on my right rear tire. I noticed this about a month later and brought it back. Replaced all four locking lug nuts because having a key for one tire makes no sense. When I originally purchased the tires for nearly $2000 they never placed the account on all four tires. I explained my dissatisfaction to the manager at the time. He said to come back and ask for him and he was going to give me a free oil change. I called today and spoke to Ken. Told him that what the manager said and Ken denied the free oil change. I further asked him to pull up my account and he sees that they forgot the lug nut on one of my tires with no mention about the missing caps the previous time. He further explained with nothing in writing he’s not doing anything.
I explained that my son that lives with me needed tires and he too spent close to $2000 in the last year. He handled the call very poorly and said, "What else do you want from me? We put the lug nut back on." He further states he couldn’t find any receipt that I purchased a tires at that location with my phone number. Very inadequate business practices. I have a credit card showing this purchase less than a year ago. What kind of shop doesn’t keep track of a $2000 purchase? Not only will I never return there. I will make sure everyone I speak with in including my son in terms there either. I think you would agree with this kind of customer service and lack of empathy. You don’t deserve my money.

I am very dissatisfied with my service on 10/30/24 at 1909 E Joppa Rd, Parkville Maryland when I purchased 4 new tires and an alignment for my Tesla. I was quoted 45 minutes and left 3 hours later. When I left the store I thought it was strange that I did not receive a copy of the alignment sheet but thought maybe it would be emailed as it’s been a bit since I had service there. When I left, my vehicle was pulling to the right. I went home and upon starting my car again I had a significant amount of safety alerts, not allowing me to safely drive. I also had multiple alerts where the tech was using the emergency door handle which could break my window. Upon speaking to Tesla, I was advised to drive directly there. They determined that the alignment was so far out of specs that it caused the safety functions to kick in. Tesla had to do a diagnostic on the system to determine cause and re-align the vehicle at an additional cost of $470.
After finally getting my car back from Tesla, I went to NTB with the paperwork where they brought it to the attention of the tech who stated he didn’t have the tool. Why wasn’t I told that to begin with? The manager, Terry who wasn’t there the day before was apologetic but that doesn’t help the inconvenience and extra money I had to pay. I received a refund of exactly $99 which does not include the tax I paid. I have been unable to reach cooperate via phone and their website always shows errors when attempting to submit a complaint. Myself and my family will never return to another NTB location.

Wow!!! That about sums it up when dealing with this company. Purchased tires in November of 2023. Starting having major vibration in both the front and the back so I scheduled to have the tires balanced in August 2024. After waiting an hour and a half, I was informed by the technician that my tires were defective and that I needed to contact the manufacturer to file a warranty claim.
Thinking this seemed odd, I did just that as was informed that the retailer that I purchased the tires from was responsible for the warranty. I was provided the link to the manufacturer's website that specifically stated the warranty process and that I had to go through the retailer. The manufacturer provides a "No Questions Asked" 365 day warranty on the tires, which I relayed to the manager at Mavis. He stated that he had to call corporate as he was unaware of the process. After almost 6 weeks of back and forth, I contacted corporate and was told that the information that the manager was providing me was incorrect and that Mavis was responsible for handling the warranty.
I was set up with another location to no avail. I spoke with the manager who assured me that he could get my issue resolved and scheduled an appt to bring the truck in for evaluation. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it at that particular time and called to reschedule. I was told that I would be getting a call to reschedule yet the call never came. I reached out and was able to get the manager on the phone, who then told me that he had to contact corporate as he was unaware of how to handle the situation.
Here we go again... The manager had no idea of how to handle a warranty. After approximately 4 weeks of either not getting return calls from the manager or kept being told that he was waiting to hear back from corporate, I finally reached out to corporate again. I was connected with their sister company, National Tire and Battery. I scheduled the evaluation and after about an hour wait, was once again told that my tires were defective and that they would order me new ones.
For some reason, they could not get the same tires so I was presented with a different brand, which I accepted. I received a call 2 days later letting me know when the tires would arrive and scheduled an install date. I opted to wait on the tires to be installed and after an hour had passed, I was informed by the manager that my tires were not defective. So now, 2 separate locations had confirmed that my tires were defective and now all of the sudden they are not as they have the new set in front of my truck about to be installed.
I was told that he had to call corporate (here we go again) and that I would receive a call by the end of the day. Over a week later and still no call. I called to get an update 3 days ago and was told by the young lady that answered the phone that she would take care of it and call me back that day. 3 days later, still no call. Either the training is non-existent or NTB/Mavis just does not care about their clients. It is apparent that they are stalling to get past that one year mark of the manufacturers 100% warranty.

I can only speak for the NTB on Military Highway and my personal experience. I had to drop my car off, then I had to call them about my car around 12. They stated, "Oh its still in the parking lot, from yesterday." They open at 8am. Okay they call back with a price. I said, "No thank you." I had to call back myself the next day and ask was my car done. The supervisor stated, "Oh I forgot about you and Dave should have called you." Get there and "DAVE" was rude. I mean hand in my face, arguing in front of customer rude. He was rude cause he really didn't know what he was doing.
I nicely said, "No thank you" to the service, why was Dave trying to charge me 550 for a 150. Only thing he kept saying was Dave get good reviews. But that wasn't my experience at all. I work HARD for my money for someone to forget about me, be rude to me and didn't even have the courtesy to call. I had to call about my car, call to see if it's done, then get there and get talk to anyway. I'll rather ride a bike than to EVER go back to NTB on Military Highway. I felt so disrespected. I would give them a 0 in my book. Highly disappointed, and highly wouldn't recommend anyone to go to. That's just how I feel.

Just an unfortunate honest review. I trusted NTB to replace my struts on my Jeep. Immediately after the job, the Jeep braked awful and made a scratching noise. NTB didn't hear or see anything wrong. I brought the jeep to Mavis. The dust shields and the tie rod locks were loose. Mavis tightened them. As I left, the jeep still doesn't drive right. Still knocks bad when I turn and brakes loosely. I brought it back to Mavis. After a test drive, now they say my CV axle is bad. I brought it to another mechanic and found out the CV axle is good. The struts were installed wrong and the wrong part.
NTB and Mavis claim my jeep is correct and how jeeps run. I will never visit a Mavis or NTB again. I hope someone takes my review seriously and doesn't trust the company. I'm stuck paying for the struts all over again as NTB enjoys my hard earned money for a Terrible job. It's been 4 months and I'm still dangerously driving because No one will help. Thanks.

Scheduled an appointment for tire rotation, oil change and fluid check. Too busy at my appointment time. Was told to come back at 1. Went back still too busy. Back again at 3. The job was done but not completely. I was told by both the mechanic and the manager that I was "good to go." Got home and discovered that my tires were not rotated. Was told I needed brakes and that wasn't true either. When confronting the mechanic and manager was informed that they never suggested the brake repair, they simply responded to my wife's inquiry when NO inquiry was made. Addressed the issue of the tire rotation and they suggested we bring it back to them so that they could do that for us and offered to refund our money for the oil change. So very disappointed with the entire experience. Not being able to trust this company, is a disappointment and we won't be using them moving forward.

After reading its results and doing some searches, he had me pull the truck into the garage and they inflated the tires to 36 lbs. The light cleared. So after taking 30+ minutes of his and a mechanics time, there was "no charge". There was no recommendation to change the transmission fluid or replace a filter or $$$ charge. I called to get quotes for 4 new tires for my Camry. I had the exact tires I wanted based upon Consumer report ratings. They gave me a quote via phone for the tires, wheel balancing and all other fees and taxes. I then paid $25 for the tires since they had to order them and made an appointment. They told me online the price was around $800 including everything and it would take about 1-1 1/2 hours to install.
When I got to the store, they claimed balancing wasn't included so another $200 and also $40 for the sensors for the tires. Apparently the email to confirm my appointment and deposit didn't include the full prices as promised on the phone and I stupidly expected them to honor what they told me. I SHOULD HAVE WALKED AWAY. Instead I did what they counted on me to do and paid the extra. This was followed by more lies and it took them over 2 1/2 hours to do the work. I finally told them take the car off the lift because I wasn't going to wait any longer. I paid the bill and left but I will never return. I think these folks did the old bait and switch and I encourage all to avoid this place because they aren't honest and their customer service stinks. NTB used to be great until Mavis took over. I have always been a regular at the Hagerstown location, but management has changed completely, and things aren’t the same. Recently, I had an incident where I found a screw in my tire, so I called to ask if they had time to repair it. The gentleman on the phone said, “Yeah, of course, come on in.” When I arrived, I was told I would have to leave my vehicle overnight.
What frustrated me the most was that I hadn’t swapped to a spare tire because I was told to come in right away. I drove 20 minutes on a slowly leaking, brand-new tire from NTB to this location, expecting a same-day repair. If they had simply informed me that they couldn’t do it that day but could the next, I would have swapped to the spare at home and brought it in without issue. The lack of clear communication, empathy for the inconvenience, and problem-solving skills made this situation very frustrating.
My wife then called to make an appointment for the next day. As I sit here 50 minutes past my appointment time, looking out to see my car still not pulled in, I grow even more frustrated. Why bother making an appointment if it won’t be honored? I’ve watched several other cars get pulled in while mine remains untouched. I will get my tire patched, but as for keeping my business and loyalty, that won’t happen. Do better.

He had someone pull it back around and actually rotate the tires this time. Once I got in my car to leave noticed they didn't remove the old sticker for next mileage due they just placed a new one beside it. This was after the last time I went instead of putting when the next service was due date and mileage information, they put the current date and mileage on the sticker. Back on June 1,2024, I had taken my 2014 Kia Sorento up to the NTB here on Joppa road in Parkville, MD., to have a nail pulled out and get patched, I had two tires with nail problems, so I had them both checked out. They came back and told me that the tires can't be fixed due to the tires having to many holes in the same areas, they said that I would have to buy another two tires to replace them, and they knew that I have Road Hazard insurance and they said that I would only have to pay about a 1/3 of the new tires, because my old tires had so much tread still on them, so I said great! So I had them put up front and they did say that my front brakes needed to be replaced and I told them that I will put them on later at home. So they put all four wheels back on my SUV and down the road I went!!
So here it is July 20, 2024, I did buy the rotors and brake pads for my SUV and so I went to go outside with all of my tools and parts and before I jack it up for the jack stand, I always untighten the lug nuts, But this time, I could feel like something was more wrong with trying to back them off with my four way lug wrench that I keep in my SUV, and they were squeaking as I tried to just loosen one lug nut!! Then as I got to the last of five lug nuts to try to loosen, it snapped off!!!
I retighten the other four lug nuts, and now I am getting ready to call them up to see what day I can bring in my SUV for them to back off all lug nuts on all four wheels, and if they break any of them off then they will be replacing them all at their expense!!! They must have used the impact wrench instead of a hand rachet wrench then use the torque wrench to properly tighten up the lig nuts!! Before this last time with this same store, I have never had any problems with them for as long as I have been using them for as long as NTB has been in business!!! They need to retrain the new people to never use a impact wrench to install lug nuts!!!

I promised I would bring my record of the warranty when I next brought the car for service, and if the tire repair was not covered, I would pay for it then. He said, "You're good." Both sets of rear brakes and rotors in both vehicles have had to be replaced within 60 days. This includes damage to the calipers that occurred while they were fixing the brakes. They put damaged calipers back on the vehicle. In both vehicles the brake pads wore out within 60 days.
Additionally, only 3 clips were holding the underneath panels onto the vehicle. We used a lanyard in a roadside emergency and they inspected the vehicle but never fixed nor mentioned the lanyard. 16 clips were missing and one entire panel was missing. I later received a call and the employee assured me it was not the thermostats, but just a bad hose. Okay cool, run it… for $387.
Guess what, I was back on Monday because it continued to overheat on Sunday, and told today I was told it was the thermostat and would run me about $400 to replace. The last thermostat replacement was completed by NTB in December 2022, prior to their acquisition by Mavis, which was suppose to have a 5 year warranty. Now I am told that it was only a 1-year warranty and they can’t access their old system to locate or verify any warranties because “that was in their old NTB system from before July 2023.” The receipt I received at the time of the thermostat repair was a digital receipt that now states it is an “Invalid URL.”

In the first 90,000 miles I never needed brakes or rotor replacements with the stock parts from BMW. I spent over $800 for replacement of front and rear brake pads and rotors. Within one year and 35,000 miles my rotors now have "hot spots" that cause a high pitched squeak that is extremely loud. The high mileage is due to my work being 60 miles one way freeway. My brake pads have little use which indicates a low level of brake use. Even though it has been on year I am out of warranty due to mileage and would need to pay for rotor replacement. I tried to have the technician understand that his parts were of poor quality since my original parts did not have this issue at all.
This was an expensive lesson that NTB taught me. Go to the dealer to have serious work done in order to receive quality parts. You cannot trust a local garage chain to use quality when replacing. This also makes me feel that maybe they did not use full synthetic 0W-20 oil when I used to have an oil change. They cannot be trusted at the Middleburg Heights location and honestly I would not trust any NTB or garage outside of a dealer in the future. The cost may be lower now but you lose the cost savings when you need to replace parts sooner.

Since that date they have been avoiding phone calls and messages both at their local office and at their corporate office. I have a police report that clearly states their employee was driving my car when the accident occurred. If NTB doesn't have enough integrity to do the right thing when you have a police report, imagine what goes on behind the doors of the service center. We just want our car fixed! No, this isn't going away peacefully. The only question is, how hard does NTB want to make this?

Went into the store after visiting a few different auto places to have brake inspections. After telling them I need a brake inspection, (I wanted to see which was the best price and which I could possibly afford) they tell me I need a control arm and brakes on the front of my vehicle without removing tires or really even inspecting the vehicle. The vehicle was maybe on the rack for maybe ten - fifteen minutes. The rest of the time was spent “discussing” how full of crap they were. They have lost all of my business as I have used them previously for a few different thing on a couple different vehicles.
They are very much sales-based. Could not tell me how much life was in the brakes just suggested that I pay 1007.17 cents to get a control arm fixed. Plus brake pads (no rotors) When I have discussed the vehicle from a dealership as well as another company that does most of my work. These guys are nothing but scam artists and who do not care about customers but all about profit. This location is in Marion Ohio as well! I brought my car NTB in Mandeville to get an oil change and tire rotation. When I called to make my appointment, the lady over the phone asked me if my information in the computer was still correct. I explained I no longer had that vehicle, gave her the correct vehicle, I also explained that I had a coupon on my phone, asked her if I needed to print it out or just show it to her. She said I could show it. When I got to NTB and Mandeville Matthew, the store manager checks me in, Ask me if I still have my Solara (which was two cars before this one). I proceeded to explain that I have a different vehicle, I also show him my coupon. He proceeds to tell me that I need to use the coupon online. I then explain to him that I had just spoke to the lady on the phone and she said it was fine Matthew, the store manager has the nerve to tell me that I’m lying, but he’s going to do it this one time. The time is 2:03 PM.
I tell him I’ll be back to pick up my car later because I need to go to work. He said he would be done in 15 minutes. I ran to the bank. While I’m at the bank at 2:19 PM Matthew called me to tell me my car is ready to be picked up. When I go to pick up my car I said, "That was fast. I don’t know how you did it in 15 minutes." When I looked at my receipt, he put 3.17 quarts of oil into my car. My car takes 3.5 quarts. So I called to ask him about it. He tells me that the computer tells him to only put 3.3 and that 3.17 is equal to 3.3. Now I’m not a math magician but I’m also not dumb. The next day I called him. Now at this time I did not know Matthew was the guy who changed my oil so when I called, he answered the phone as Matthew. I go to ask him if he was there on Wednesday he responds with, "I know exactly who this is. What can I do for you." So I start to explain how it doesn’t look like he put enough oil in my vehicle.
He tells me I could come back and we could look at the dipstick together. I said I don’t need him to look at the dipstick. I can do that then I ask him for corporate number. He proceeds to tell me that he has no idea. Have a good day and hangs up. So I call NTB in Covington. I explain my issue. He tells me I can make an appointment and he will check everything out for me. (Jeremy Covington store manager). I also reach out to corporate to explain what happened. They apologized, offered me to go to another store to get it checked out. By this time I had already made an appointment. The customer service lady tells me that someone will reach out to me by Monday or Tuesday. Not an hour later, I get a phone call from corporate, apologizing and willing to resolve the issue even offered me to make an appointment at the Covington one for me so I can get it looked at.
I came to NTB and Covington walked in. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly and willing to answer any questions I had, got me checked in right away. While I was checking in Jeremy (store manager) is already pulling my car around to the back. He is one of the nicest people you will meet. This was the quickest oil change I’ve ever had. Even five minute oil takes 30 to 45 minutes at least for me every-time I go. When he was done with my vehicle, he actually came out and talked to me told me I was good to go. Everything looks fine except I had too much air pressure in my tires so he took some out for me.
The Covington one might be a little further, but it is worth it. Everyone there was so helpful, nice and friendly. Mandeville is not welcoming/not friendly but it is closer to me. After the last experience, I’ve had at Mandeville he will never get my service again nor will I recommend anyone to that location. You need your tires rotated, and a oil change. Take that drive, go to NTB in Covington and see Jeremy and the rest of his crew. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I spoke with Manager ** on two of the occasions. My wife experienced a flat tire on 4-11 and drove to NTB. Associate ** told her the tire was ruined and could not be fixed because the object was on the sidewall. ** tried to sell her a new tire. When rejected, ** put the spare on.
I took the tire to Discount Tire because it was under warranty. I witnessed the object in the tire. It was not on the sidewall! It was clearly 3-4 inches from the edge of the tire and was easily repaired. There was no other damage to the tire. Associate Read should be terminated. The unethical practice and low image of NTB and the lack of professional service in not returning my calls will be stated on social media for others to learn. The agent knew my wife was in a predicament and tried to take advantage of her. Dishonest company and employee.
Finally spoke with the Distr. Mgr on 5-9-23. He did not take my concern seriously and never apologized for his staff’s unethical practice. He actually stated that he “did not care” when I offered to send a picture proving the tire was not damaged anywhere close to the sidewall. I had to input my credit card information, though the website does state that the card won't be charged until service is complete.
Today, my husband went to get the tires installed and the local NTB told him they didn't have my credit card information on file and that I would have to call them and give them that information over the phone once the tires were installed. I see zero reason for having to put that information into this company's website if it's not going to be processed when the service is complete. If I could give this store in Marion Ohio a -5 I would. As someone who works in the people field I would recommend highly HIGHLY staying away from this store. I ordered from Tire Rack and had 4 brand new EXPENSIVE tires sent to this store as I am from out of town and didn’t know which “service provider” in Marion from another. I NOW know Katz Tires is the place to go!!
In short I met my daughter at my Mother/Brother-in-Law's place (who live in Marion) to get my tires put on. As well because I was meeting my daughter there WHO also has her own car. I thought it would be a great time to get hers in and have the tires rotated AND to fix a leak in one of the tires. Mmmm? NEVER AGAIN! I actually went in to the store in person the day BEFORE the appointment and asked them if they could simply rotate my daughter's tires and check for the leak. Their famous last words… "Sure! Bring it in and leave it and we will be happy take care of that for you." So suffice to say more than two days later and numerous calls and check backs….I finally was able to pick it up on the FOLLOWING morning. They assured me it would get done.
So I go the next day….(giving them until 11:00 am July 08, 2022.) So I get there and they assure me…”all fixed and ready to go”——It was not. Come to find out they simply rotated the tires and put them back on. After leaving we notice all the ABS lights and tire pressure light on….Good grief!! Turned it around and asked them to FIX what they told me they had fixed that morning. They checked the tire in question and sure enough it was 10 pounds low AFTER they gave it back to me and told me everything was “good to go.”
When I asked them if they did what I had asked them two of them started arguing with each other and questioning IF it got done. Final conclusion—- it did not. So here’s the rub….I would have never written this review but even after all that….they refused to pull me in and fix what they said they had already fixed. After waiting outside in the rain for nearly 30 minutes I went in and asked WHEN they were going to get it in. The young man at the counter (didn’t catch his name but had a partial beard) proceeded to tell me I didn’t have an appointment and that was the reason I had to wait!?!? What!?
I did get agitated with him and raised my voice. However I never swore or was nasty to him but he quickly yelled back at me….”Look give me 5 minutes and I’ll get to it”….I asked him if he understood my frustration which he continued to say I didn’t have an appointment. Good Grief! He actually told me to time him….5 minutes he said. After 30 minutes I just left and took it to Katz. Thank GOD for Katz….Within 10 minutes that had me in found that it had a bad sensor and replaced it. It is obvious the people you have working at this store just do NOT care about quality and/or the customer in any way.

We told the technician and showed them the old brake pads. No plausible explanation for the inspection failure was provided. They agreed they were within limits but came up with excuses like "they are allowed significant discretion in failing the brakes" (they can fail good brakes). They also claimed they removed all the pads for inspection which is very suspect for a $40 inspection. These inspections are being falsely rejected due to incompetence or to drum up business. It cost us money and time to put on new brakes that did NOT need to be done. We gave them a chance to rectify the situation but they failed to do so.

I felt compelled to leave this review because of the horrible customer service I received from the manager name ** from the 5890 Brook Rd. 23227 location today. I ordered 4 tires from a merchant on Ebay and purchased the installation service from Ebay as well via NTB. The wrong tire size was ordered incorrectly by me. The manager acted like he wanted to assist me with returning the tires via FedEx so he took pictures of the tires, email them to me and printed out the return shipping label. I noticed a few weeks had gone past but the tires hadn't reach the original merchant so I called the manager again. He says the tires have been sitting at his store for 2 weeks and he didn't know what to do with them.
I ask him politely why he didn't just give them to FedEx. He said it wasn't his job to contact FedEx for the return pickup. The manager knew I was not in the state but acted like it was too much trouble for him to make sure the tires got shipped. Fedex and UPS drop off packages at his store daily but it was too much like right to just gave them to next Fedex pick up driver. I'm sure they do this all the time for their customers. After all this I still took the responsibility and called Fedex and schedule a pick up the next day but when I called the store manager back he then again blew me off and lied that FedEx never came by to pickup the tires. At this point I was extremely upset that this manager didn't care or take any responsibility to help me. He then tried to blame FedEx and hung the phone up on me.
I called NTB location not far from his location and they said normally they contact FedEx for the customer which sounded exactly what I expected and explained what happened at the other location and this manager was very sorry for what occurred. What I noticed was black grease all over the inside of my beige leather interior... driver's seat, passenger seat, glove box front, armrests, carpet and door handles...
I immediately called the store. The employee just told me to get it detailed and they would cover it, that he didn't have time to deal with it....a somewhat nice gesture but I have kept the interior of this car in near mint condition for the five years I have owned it. CARFAX has inaccurate information due to your store policy.
2) I brought my vehicle in for a brake check. I was called at home and advised I needed front and rear brakes and rear shocks. The rear shocks needed to be replaced due to a leak. On top of that, the last time I waited there for three hours only to find out they forgot to take my car into their bays. Talked to their manager, said to bring it one more time - assured me it would be fixed AND I'd be reimbursed for the Uber ride. That was in Sep 2019. To date, they didn't fix it (I fixed it elsewhere) and no reimbursement of UBER ride, or the maintenance plans I have with them...as I will NOT be going to them anywhere. I have been going to NTB for my regular oil changes. Last time they upsold me on the synthetic because they were out of conventional oil, but failed to fill wiper fluid and rotated my tires without asking - I didn't want them rotated because I have new tires upfront, it's a front wheel drive and it's rainy season. I didn't make them un-rotate them and waited until 3,000 passed.
Today when I went in for the oil change I told them to be sure to fill the wiper fluid and definitely rotate the tires. I was told they were out of wiper fluid and their policy prohibited them from rotating my tires because the rear tires had more tread on them than the front ones - they are required to place the best tires on the rear. I asked for the logic behind such a policy as you have better steering, better control. Less likely to hydroplane with the best tires upfront. The response was they don't want your rear end to slide, even though it's a front wheel drive, you still can steer the bad front tires but not the rear, so they want the best tires on the rear.
In my opinion there is only ONE reason for such an asinine policy - to force you to buy 2 new tires before you need them!! I would love to have purchased 4 tires, but it wasn't in the budget and I needed one new one and chose to also replace the next most worn tire at the same time. As for the wiper fluid, I was told to try another store because the manager was newish and had not ordered any since I was last there... And they didn't think it would be ordered anytime soon as they were also out of things like tire weights!!!

Be warned, idiots work here… I made a reservation for Dec 30, 2019 at 3pm to have an oil change performed. I showed up at 2:10pm, early for my appt, to find a pretty busy waiting room. On the wall, there was a screen that indicated that I was the next appt coming in. After Steve ** attended to two people in front of me, now about 2:30pm, I indicated that I was his next appt for 3pm. He wrote me up, I gave him my keys, and I told him not to do the tire rotation. So the only item I was there for was a simple oil change. I went back to the waiting room where I proceeded to do some work on my laptop. As I am sitting in front of the bay window working on my laptop, my vehicle pulls into the center bay. It’s now 3:34pm according to my in-car dash cam. Time passes by… it’s now 4:15.
The oil hasn’t even been drained out of my vehicle… but it’s up on the lift. By this time, I’m starting to fume. A 20 minute oil change is WAAAAY late and not a single person is working on my vehicle. In fact, they pull ANOTHER vehicle in on the far bay. All the while, my vehicle sits up in the air. For a simple oil change… Where is the Service Manager to be found you ask? Certainly, he’s keeping a watchful eye out for his customers. No, I find him in the office eating a sandwich. It’s now 4:20pm and I am demanding my car back. Steve runs into the shop area and says something to get some attention. I open the shop door and tell them that I just want my vehicle back. I mean, what’s the point of making appointments when CLEARLY there’s no attempt to keep them or prioritize them.
This is for an oil change that should have taken 20 minutes. You took my car keys almost 2 hours ago and you haven’t even drained the oil out of my vehicle. As I am packing up my laptop, the technician walks over to the window where I am sitting and asks me if I can wait 10 minutes and he’ll finish it. REALLY?!?! Now I’m even MORE angry. I’ve been there since 2:10, it’s now 4:20, and NOW it’ll take 10 minutes?!?! I told the tech to give me my vehicle back and I told Steve that I’d never come back here ever again. You have a clueless Service Manager that isn’t watching his workload, techs that are not focused on getting things done in an appropriate time frame (also what the Service Manager should be directing), and a lackadaisical attitude toward your customers.
