I recently bought a Soul from the Ft. Pierce location. I came very close to walking out 3 or 4 times. Their staff was nice enough, but were very high pressure. I requested 3 times a written sheet with the basic info of price, trade in value, taxes, etc. to get to see exactly what the bottom line would be. I did this once verbally and twice by email. I finally got a sheet that the sales person had scribbled so many numbers on in random spots that there was no way to tell what anything was. On my second visit, I had to bring a pad and go over everything very carefully to see what was actually going to be the bottom line. When it didn't match what I had heard the night before and was walking away, they changed the deal enough to match the prior agreement. Two things of note: 1, the salesman said that sales people get $200.00 if you go through Kia finance; 2, to please rate the sales experience all 10's on the survey when you get it and they would send me a $100.00 Visa card.

The survey was broken up into sections, the sale and sales person, the facility and cleanliness, waiting time, finance experience, etc. Not everything got a 10 obviously. About a week later, I got a call from the sales person saying that I hadn't rated it all 10's so I wouldn't be getting the Visa Card, and he wouldn't be getting his Kia money (not sure what that means exactly). So my real experience must have gotten through to Kia? Maybe it's just me, but I find that if they are bribing the customer with a $100.00 Visa Card to give them favorable reviews, that invalidates the whole survey review process. All this experience at Ft Pierce put me off enough that I have since been to the Stuart Kia, which I found was also owned by Bev Smith, for a few accessories and information about my car. So far I have found them to be a friendlier facility. Maybe I should have gone to the Stuart location first.

The sales people and sales management Joe & Noela and the maintenance people persuaded me to buy the 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan and I was told after taking it back 3 times and being kicked out and off the property, I supposed to had a 60-day warranty. But now I'm stuck with a car and it's unsafe for me and my 7 kids. JOE TOLD ME my car wasn't safe but it was better than the other one they sold me. I traded in my other one and I just want to be taken seriously. Noela held me there by supposed to charging up my phone. But she gave me my phone back dead as when she snatched it away. Someone please help me. Money is too hard to get for these leeches to take from a single mother of 7 children.

Recently, my wife called the local Bev Smith Kia in Stuart about an apparent bubble that has formed on the sidewall of one of their "free" replacement tires. We have less than 7,000 miles on the tires, and I have been very good with keeping accurate tire pressure. We have taken the car there before to have the tires rotated, oil changed etc., so we thought that they would be able to check the bubbled tire. The service wench stated that they don't take care of cars that were purchased in Fort Pierce, therefore they don't take care of tires that were put on at the Fort Pierce store. Really? We've already had our tires rotated at the Stuart store & oil changes! We've already had enough problems with the Fort Pierce store, with one of them owing us $300 so I think that if you want good service, go to your local neighborhood service center. By the way, are they still driving people to Bev Smith Toyota to process all the new car purchasing paperwork? Apparently, they think that by using smoke and mirrors gives you a better experience, but once the car is purchased, they forget about you. Great cars, but the ultimate crap dealership. And I worked for a premium dealership for many years too!

I took in a mail flyer that offered a base Kia Soul for $11,990. At first, the salesman refused to honor the ad because a marketing department drew up the ad and they had nothing to do with it. When I pointed out that the law made them responsible for the ad, they changed their tune. Now to get that price, I had to be a Coca-Cola employee, who attended the Houston Auto Show, served in the military and recently graduated college. If you get a sales flyer from them, throw it straight in the garbage, because it is meaningless.

To make it short and sweet, I came in pre-approved for the loan. They told me they can give me a better rate. It took them six days and me calling over and over again to finally find out that my rate was seven points higher than what my pre-approved loan was. I told him from the beginning that if they could not give me a better rate, I wanted to use the original loan. He brushed me off the office and told me don't worry, I can refinance later.

They pulled my credit so many times that my points went down 30 points. They forgot to transfer my tag from my old car. They also gave me a car with major mechanical issues. I had a 30 day or two thousand mile warranty. It had not reached the 2,000 miles or 30 days; however, they had no appointments to see me and my car for over a week, in which I was over 2,000 miles. They refuse to fix it and the general manager never contacted me back. I will never do business with them again, and I will tell everyone I see how horrible they were to me.

I went to Ft. Pierce just to get a price on some new cars. I ended up stopping at Bev Smith KIA, which was a nightmare! A salesman approached us and we started looking at some newer KIAs. After that, he told us to come inside and he would get me some more information. So we do the paperwork and all, and he told me the car will be X amount of money. So I told him that I just can't afford to buy it till I get more income. But he just kept on and on, trying to lower the price so I would just buy it. But he just didn't get that I wasn't even trying to buy anything at the time and that we were just looking. Then he has some higher-up come to the table to haggle me some more. It was just uncalled for. They were just wanting me to spend more money than I even make. All they care about is the money, and not you. And to top it all off, they never gave me my driver's license back. So I had to drive an hour to go back to to get it. Gas is not cheap, people! I would never recommend this place to anyone at all.

I stopped by on Saturday after work to buy a car at the Bev Smith Kia in Fort Pierce. My wife had recommended to a salesman named Novis. He was busy so I dealt with two other salesmen that were great. We reached a deal that if everything stayed the same when we get to the back, it's a deal. But when I got in the back to sign the deal, some finance guy named Ricky sitting in his chair laid back with this dumb look that I've seen plenty of times. He told me we could not get the 6.9% finance. So I told him, "You wasted my time, thank you."

As I walked out, a couple looked at me. All I said was, "they tell one thing here, then something different back there." This salesman, Novis, chased after me with the other salesmen behind and cursed me out, told me to "get the ** off the lot, we don't need your ** business." This is the same guy my wife bought a car from. As I talked back to him, he screamed out, "Your wife don't even like you, bro." At that point, I told him, "hold up, **." I went to my car for a "reason" but I told myself to just stay calm and ask for the main boss' number and go after them the legal way.

This caused a lot of stress and sleep so far, also put more strain on my relationship with my wife because I asked her to go take the car back and tell them how can they treat me that way. I'm thinking about getting a lawyer.

I bought my Kia new at Bev Smith Kia. They said you get free tires and battery for free for the life of the car. They never tell you what you have to do to get this until you need them. The new tires on the first time was okay, then my battery went they said I need a front-end alignment. What does the battery have to do with that and now I need new tries and they said no. I am going to go to the news paper. Bev Smith is liar and dishonest. Thank you.

My elderly parents bought a brand new Kia 6 months ago from another dealership. While in Fort Pierce, their driver's side seat belt jammed and could not be used, so they stopped into Bev Smith. First thing they asked, "Did you buy it here?" and my 76 year old father said no, but they were in the area when the seat belt broke so they went to the nearest Kia dealership. They told him they would have to order the part and to make an appointment for the following week and let my parents drive off in their car with a major safety issue.

First of all, even if they had a minor accident without the seat belt to hold him back, the airbags could have killed my father. It should be criminal that they would send anyone out on the road without safety equipment working, especially on a new car. To make a long story short, we went up to the dealership about 30 miles away where he bought the car, and they wouldn't let him drive back off the lot without the repairs being done. If the repairs couldn't be made on the spot, they were going to put them in a rental. Kudos to Vero Beach Kia for taking care of my parents. Shame on Bev Smith for their irresponsibility and putting someone in harms way. Vero Beach took care of my parents with their safety issue, where Bev Smith blew them off because they didn't buy their car there.

On Friday 8-12-11, I had some battery problems. It just died on me and I had to call for road service three times that day. The first two were AAA and the third time I called was KIA. I went to Bev Smith for routine maintenance and told the greeter at the kiosk that I had a battery problem, if I stopped the engine it would not start again. He brought someone out from the garage and this guy took the VIN# and came back out to inform me that my 28-month warranty on the battery expired 6 months ago. The car was purchased new from the dealership less than 24 months ago. I tried to tell him but it was the old story about company policy and I can't do anything for you.

Please see attached invoice for battery purchased from Walmart. Please send me a check for $88.94 + tax.

I own a Kia Rio 2007. I bought it brand new, and I am here to complain yet again. I have already complained about the fuse block, the part for the brakes, and several others. I am complaining today yet again, due to the car leaking water in it. We recently had rain in Florida, and I went to get in my car, the day after it rained, and it was wet on the floor, in the back, on the passenger side. I could not figure out how it could have gotten wet back there, if the windows were shut, and the door was shut.

I took it to KIA, and they of course said it was due to a crack in my tail light, which has been there since I got the car in 2007, and I don't even know how that happened either. I really don't see what a cracked tail light has to do with water getting into my car especially since it has been cracked for 3 years. You would think it would have leaked a long time ago.

I took it in to have them change the oil, and to see what the problem was with the leak, and the guy told me that they did not wash my car, or even vacuum it, due to the leak, yet they charged me $35.00, which includes this service. I also found that there is a burn mark in my trunk, on the right side under the mat. Nice. I could blow up in this stupid car, and never even know why. They of course never said anything about that. Kia cars are complete junk, and the service is just as crappy. I have never been treated so poorly.

I had a Chevy Astro van for years, and only traded it in to get this piece of **, because of the gas prices. I wish I could get that van back, because we never had a problem with it the 10 years we had it. My advice to you all is to never buy Kia. I would sell it, but who wants it? It stinks inside now because of the leak. It's funny how every time you take the car there, they come up with some ridiculous reason as to why it's not working like it's supposed to. Kia did call me after my last complaint, and said they would call me back in a week, but have yet to call me, and it has been a month. I guess I will have to seek an attorney to see what they want to do, because enough is enough.

First, all the issues with the fuse block, then more fuse block, then replace this piece, and that piece, and have a guy t-bone me in a parking lot, and the airbags don't go off, yet the door hits me in the leg ,and both doors on the driver side have to be replaced, then more car parts replaced, then piece behind the brake had to be replaced, then there is a burn mark in the trunk, and leaking water, what is next? I am only buying Chevy cars from now on. At least they last for years, rather than months. My car stinks, the burn mark has not even been discussed by Kia, my herniated disks in my neck and my back, now there is mold growing in the car, because of the leak, not to mention the emotional trauma, due to the car breaking down, and not having another car to drive to work. I am missing work for it to get looked at, and leaving work early to get it to Kia before everyone leaves for the day.

The other car I had was a Kia and I was very happy with it. No problems at all. It just got old and I had it for a long time. So when my husband wanted to buy me a new car, I wanted another Kia so he bought me a Kia Sorento. I'm not happy with Kia anymore and I tell everyone I talk to or ask me about my Kia not to buy one and not to go to Bev Smith Kia. I drive 45 miles every day one way to work. I started taking it for the services at the dealership but they were charging me $70 something. So I asked if I took it to another place that was cheaper for the maintenance if that would do anything to my warranty and they said no. I had trouble with my front tires wearing on the inside so I took it to them and was told that I voided my warranty because I didn't get a front end alignment at 1500 miles on a new car and I didn't get it serviced there all the time.

I am still having problems with the front tires wearing on the inside after having two front-end alignments out of pocket. Then the windshield washer stopped working. The battery was bad and inside light won't work. I had it in twice on that still broken. Oxygen sensor was bad so they replaced that but it still doing the same thing. My door handles on P side are broken. I can keep going. Every time I called to tell them that something was wrong, I was told that my warranty was no good.

I have 83,000 miles on the car now and every day it's something else. I won't even call them anymore. I can't wait until I can afford to get a new car and it won't be another Kia. I would love nothing more than to be able to take this car to the lot and walk away but no, I still have to pay for the junk. I'm not looking for apologies. I've enough of those. I just wanted to voice my problems for the last time and hope that other people will see this and never go to Bev Smith and will think twice about buying a Kia.

I have a 2004 Kia Sedona. I'm the original owner and have had it about 48 months. It has 50,000 miles. The warranty says it's good for 60 months/ 60,000 miles. It began making noise last week so I took it to a nearby reputable mechanic to see what was wrong with it. He said it was the axles. He said it would be covered under the powertrain warranty. The items covered include transmission case, transfer case, torque converter, internal parts, seals, gaskets and transmission mounts. Also, axle shafts and C-V joints, seals, hub and wheel bearings.

I took it to Kia half an hour away. They said I need a new transmission and it isn't covered unless I show proof of having my transmisssion serviced at 30,000 miles. They said it'll be over $2000 to fix. I went back to the first mechanic. They looked again and said it was definately not my transmission, just the axels. It would cost about $350 to fix.

They said it should be covered no matter what. They said I should call Kia back and tell them to fix it, since it's in the warranty. I called again and talked to the service manager, Burt. He said he's going with what his mechanic said and even if it was the axels, they wouldn't cover that either without previous service. In the warranty is states: Kia cannot deny warranty solely for the lack of receipts or for your failure to ensure the performance of all scheduled maintenance.

I took the van in Tuesday, Sept. 2nd. Now I'm waiting to see if they'll fix it. I don't have $350, let alone $2000. That's one reason I bought a Kia with a great (supposedly) warranty.
