• Bought an engine from Mavis through Advance Auto from a 3rd party company. It took 3 months for the engine to come in, took 3 months to install the engine at Mavis, spent an extra $3000.00 on extra parts that did not work. (From Advance) to only finally agree that the engine was bad. Meanwhile we were told to pay for the engine and the extra parts (which would be returned to us) in order to kick the warranty in on the bad engine. Once paid for the 3rd party engine company declined to honor the warranty on the engine, and had the engine returned to them to verify it was bad. Once it was verified it was bad they returned the money to Advance. We never saw the refund.
After another several months Advance and Mavis finally work out a deal and put in an engine from Ford. We are now being told the extra parts which we paid for and were told would be returned to us are being returned to Advance to cover additional charges accrued with having to get an engine from Ford. Moral of this story is don't trust a third rate company to do a first rate job! And don't trust Advance to honor their word!

Now I’m three or four days waiting unnecessarily. They didn’t even give me notification that they had switched me to ship to home.

I ordered an engine gasket set online on 4/17/24 and realized it was gonna arrive too late for my need. It didn't ship out till 4/19/24 so I called them next day to cancel my order. They didn't want to kept telling me to continue calling back and I did more than 3 times. I spoked to them. Every person I spoke to didn't wanna cancel the order. Even called on delivery day which was 4/24/24 around 9am. Still didn't wanna cancel. Then later I tracked my package and said it was delivered already. Went to go check and there was nothing called Advance Auto Parts and they were already closed. Called the next day. They said they can't do anything because UPS said it had been delivered.
Till this day advance auto parts refused to give my money back or a replacement. Advance auto parts and its personnel REALLY SUCK. NOT PROFESSIONAL. They don't care about the customer. DO NOT BUY ONLINE FROM ADVANCE AUTO PARTS. THEY'LL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY. My order said I was gonna have it in 3 or 4 days and that didn't happen. Took a week. ADVANCE AUTO PARTS SUCKS. CAN'T TRUST THEM. OR THEIR PERSONNEL. Better go to your local Autozone or eyllys but stay away from advance auto parts.

The site showed a discount for buying online, which is why I did it, and so I got my oil filter and the oil and made the purchase. I go to pick up my stuff, and the receipt from the store showed the discounts, but the total was $9.99 less than what I actually paid online. (Online showed $33.47/Receipt from the store showed $23.48) I.O.W. I did not get the discount. I called the customer care line and asked why this was the case. To be honest I really could not understand him very well. Sounds like bait and switch to me. Watch out for the online rip off.

I went there to buy parts for my 2017 Jeep Latitude a lower ball joint. A person behind the desk was helping me, he stated his name is Anthony. Was not helpful and has an ego with my question about the parts that I buy and ended up returning the parts that I buy because is not the same parts. I needed to replace my engine and cabin filter in my 2016 Ford Transit Connect. I purchased both filters from a girl named Shayla. I knew the air filter was rectangular in shape, but she insisted that it was the cylinder type filter because that’s what my vehicle called for on her computer. I didn’t install them immediately because I had other things going on that needed to be handled. A couple of weeks later I found time to do it and discovered I did need the rectangular filter and the cylinder filter didn’t go anywhere in my vehicle. I couldn’t find anywhere it went. I Googled and YouTube everything I could find to see how this filter went in my car and came to the conclusion it was the wrong one.
I went back to the store on W. Meighan to exchange it for the right one, and told the guy behind the counter (Seth) what had happened. He said it was the right one according to his computer. He then proceeded to tell me how he had to fire the girl (which I thought was totally unprofessional) that sold me the filters, so I assumed he was the manager. Then I asked him if he could show me where it was supposed to go, and he immediately got an attitude with me, and rudely said, he didn’t know anything about air filters, so I asked him to come out to my car and look at it.
I showed him where the rectangular shape filter was and he seemed somewhat frustrated but we went back in to his computer and he was able to find one that kind of matched up with the one that I took out. I asked him if it would be okay for me to see if it fit, he seemed hesitant but said okay, so I did. It was the only one they had that matched up so I placed it in and it was a fit, so I put the cover back over it and locked it into place.
When I came back into the store to pay the difference on the return he informed me that I wasn’t allowed to install something that wasn’t paid for in a very rude tone. I apologized and said all my stuff is sitting here on the counter I wasn’t gonna leave and planned to pay whatever the difference was ($1.80) because I live in the country and it was a long drive for me to have to come back. I told him we must have got off on the wrong foot and I apologized because he still seemed frustrated. When I came back in the store I had sat the old filter on the counter and some debris fell out and I apologized again for the small amount of debris that got on the counter. The whole time he was mumbling, something under his breath, and his attitude and demeanor had changed more towards me. I wiped the dust off the counter and he replied with “Yeah just knock that off onto my clean floor”.
This was such a petty comment coming from what I assumed was the store manager and unprofessional to say the least. Because, you know I could have walked in there with dirt, mud, or anything else on my shoes that would get the floor dirty and it didn’t set right with me because he was just being rude again. I immediately said you can give me a refund on the cabin filter now (which was probably the right one but I didn’t care to do anymore business with them), but I paid the difference on the one that fit since it worked and I had already installed it.
I will never go to this location or any advance auto part store again because this young kid didn’t know how to treat customers. I will tell everyone I know not to use them because people like this make their whole business look bad. I called another store and talked to a manager named Hope. She was very kind and apologetic about the way I was treated and told me she was sorry on behalf of Advance auto parts. She told me she would contact the District Manager (Amy) and she would call me back but I never received a call from her. I saw another review from two weeks ago on google where someone had said the manager had an attitude. I learned that this new manager had only been there for about a month, so I could safely assume this was the same guy.
I left and went next door to O’Reilly auto parts and purchased another cabin filter and the guys there treated me with great respect and kindness. The guy even showed me how it went it and made sure I was happy. So, for anyone that reads this just know that the manager at this location is rude and didn’t have any knowledge of the parts I needed, and probably lacks knowledge of other parts as well. Don’t waste your time at Advance, just go right next door to the guys at O’Reilly auto parts and they will take care of you and treat you with respect.

I called the home office today (3/29/2024). She was pleasant but could not give me anymore info than I already had. I was given a rebate hotline number to call. The person at the hotline number was short and rude. NOT pleasant to deal with at all. I was basically told that it's still "processing" and that I'll just have to wait. She had no information, no ETA and a very "canned" response. Granted, it's only 12 bucks... BUT...it's still 12 bucks that they have and I don't. I am a mechanic. I gave Advance Auto the VIN for a vehicle. I had to drive 50 miles one way because I live in a remote location. They gave me the part their computer said was correct but it did not match the part I brought in for a core charge. (Right Front Caliper.) The bracket was smaller and they attempted to give me a Left Front when I needed a Right Front. (The bleeder screws are in opposite positions.) I had to drive BACK to the Advance Auto to show them that the caliper brackets were not the same. The manager argued with me until I showed him with a tape measure that their bracket to caliper mounting holes were 3/16" closer together. I finally got my money back but not the 200 miles of driving, and over 3 hours of time. I will never use Advance Auto again!

I bought a brand new Die Hard Battery and about 6 months in, my car wouldn't start. I take it to the autoshop and they say it's the battery. I figure that couldn't be the case because the battery is brand new, so the mechanic says maybe it's the alternator, so I have a new alternator installed. Only for my Toyota to not be able to start right after. With a brand new alternator installed, that left only 1 culprit...the battery. Went to Advanced Auto the exact same day, they blamed my alternator, but I literally just replaced thw alternator 10 minutes before. They say the best they can do is charge it and test it. Which they do and they say it's fine.
3 weeks later I'm on my way home from getting an emissions test, which my car passed and the battery light comes on. I immediately drive to Advance Auto Parts because if the car stops, I'd rather it be there. Just as I pull up and park, my car shuts down. I tell them the battery is bad, they say the same thing again, "it's the alternator". I tell them I changed it 3 weeks ago and I just passed emissions 20 mins earlier. They test it and say it's fine. I asked them to charge it, they do and test it again an hour later and the test shows that it's bad. They change it out for a brand new Die Hard Silver and this time my car is hesitant to start. When it finally does, the steering is locked up and I can't move the car. I wait for 15 minutes, finally I'm able to drive the car but the check battery light is still on in my car. Long story short Advance Auto Parts sells bad batteries and they have a bad return policy. Do not buy any Die Hard Products!

This is a review of AAP in general, corporate/company, not for the local stores. Bought a lifetime warranty alternator and two years later it failed to charge, leaving me stranded. An expensive tow home and return to the store showed the alternator was bad on their tester. But..., they no longer have an alternator for my vehicle (older Mercedes diesel) in their system. So..., they refunded me. But the refund went to a card that is no longer valid and it did not go to my new card number (same bank/account, different card number).
Repeated calls to corporate and they claim that it can take 3 months to come back to them (in this day of computerized ACH's and such, this is complete bollocks!), then they'll refund me in another way. So I'm out the money for this "lifetime" (made in China rebuild, so "lifetime" just means the lifetime of the crappy rebuild) AND have to fork out ANOTHER $200 for one from Napa. The manager at my bank wrote a letter that they've checked my account and it has had no transfers, returns, etc., in the amount that Advance claims they refunded. Advance corporate doesn't care, they're just glad that they got my money and will never refund me. I've shifted to buying my own and parts for customers' vehicles from other sources now.

I had an experience today with this company that was disappointing. When we all go to a store and make a purchase with a coupon or gift card. The coupon goes directly towards the overall bottom line of the purchase. This company will proportionally apply a percentage of the coupon to each item purchased. So if you are purchasing things with a coupon. Be sure to purchase things you're sure you will keep. Purchase things you are not sure that you will use separately without a coupon to get your full return.

I waited for over half an hour while a guy "looked" for my order. Obviously they hadn't fulfilled it yet so I asked if I could just go and get it and fulfill it myself. He said no problem. Huge mistake on my part. I got my items and when I tried to get the order fulfilled the person behind the counter had no clue what was going on and, of course, there wasn't a manager to be found. So I cancelled the order on my phone and just paid for the items over the counter. They double billed me and I never once spoke to a person in charge as she was too busy and directed me to call the corporate line. It took corporate calling the store to ask what happened and I finally got my money back.
Fast forward to today. I ordered another part and this time specified another store as I'm not going back to the previous one. Very disappointed in the record keeping, ethics, and integrity of Advance Auto Parts. I started patronizing AAP because I figured the other two (AutoZone/Orielly) were taking all the business in our town. I see the light now. I will never step foot in another Advance Auto Parts.

I started work this morning. I deliver for Instacart. All day my car has acted like it didn't want to start. I finally stopped here and Jennifer came out and ran teat and discovered my battery was bad. She went in and started to do a price check and Bryant started getting everything together to replace my battery. I paid and he went out and got started. Jennifer kept coming out to make sure we were OK out in the heat. Neither one of them complained about having to do it and they both made sure everything was in place. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
My month has been so hard and I was on the verge of tears when I pulled up because I really couldn't afford anything, much less a new battery. They both had me smiling and feeling positive by the time the battery was in. Jennifer assured me my week would be better, and told me to look on the bright side of things. That is what I did. I dried my tears and said, "Your right, it's already getting better." I had enough money with a little left and 2 people who went above and beyond for me when I felt defeated.
The world needs more caring and empathetic people like Jennifer and Bryant. I hope they are appreciated and rewarded for being 2 awesome and caring individuals. If you live in Tullahoma Tn. or pass through stop and see them, you will leave feeling like a better person and they will do all they can to make sure you're taken care of.

I purchased a Diehard deep-cycle marine battery for my boat. After charging for 2 days the battery would not charge over 95%. I kept trying with 2 different chargers. The date on the battery was 1 year old sitting on the shelf from the time I purchased it. I took it back for a refund. I was told no refunds. I wanted a replacement of a newer battery. They said there wasn't anything wrong with it. I kept trying, finally, they gave me a replacement battery. The new one was made 3 months prior, it charges 100%.

We purchased a Diehard Platinum AGM Group 34 battery after reading good reviews. When we got home the battery indicated 12.3 volts-we charged it three times to 100% but after a few hours it dropped down to 12.4-would not hold a charge. After driving all day with this battery it showed 12.3 volts- in the next AM it showed 12.1 and even went down to 11.9. Called Support at Advance Auto Parts and they virtually were unknowledgeable about their product. When we asked what was the resting voltage on this battery they proceeded to read off a spec sheets that was on the internet-asked for someone more knowledgeable and we told no one. Finally received a refund from the store where purchased-they were good but not the support staff. Bad product. Would never trust it.

I have shopped with them for more than 15 years but recently they sold me a part that failed shortly after installation. It happened when my daughter was in another town and it cost four times the cost of the failed part to get the vehicle fixed at a local shop in the town. Advance Auto refused to refund the cost of the part or give me a credit. They would only offer a replacement part, which, in these circumstances, is not reasonable. No one had the flexibility or foresight to give me a refund, either in the local store or on line. I have done good business with them in the past and usually their parts are good, but being out so much money, I decided to switch to Napa and Autozone, and ended my on line account, which I used regularly for maintenance on our five cars.

Your store in Milwaukee Oregon on McLoughlin Blvd has very poor customer service. I have gone in before when someone is on the phone with a call that sounded personal and they did not acknowledge me for 15 minutes and I had a question. I vowed to not go back. There is a car that frequently is parked in the handicapped spot and it does not have a placard or any other insignia that would validate it parking there. It is a WRX with anime decals on black paint.
Today my husband parked behind that car and went in to tell the person at the counter and they did not care. We have a placard and the spaces in front of the store were full. The Milwaukee location is closest to home. I would consider going to another location further from home. There is an Auto Zone across the street with excellent customer service. Today is the last day my husband will go to the Advanced Auto Parts in Milwaukee Oregon on McLaughlin Blvd. That store has let both of us down.

CLAIM STATEMENT. On 9/9/21 I Purchased a Diehard battery from Advance Auto Parts store number (06784) in Denver located at 5496 Federal Blvd. I paid a total of $234.10 (see purchase receipt dated 9/9/21 attached) for the new battery. I was confident that I was getting a good quality battery because DieHard batteries had a very good reputation of being a very good battery. The DieHard brand dates to 1967, having been developed by Globe-Union Battery for Sears. Globe-Union was later bought by Johnson Controls, who continued to manufacture the DieHard for Sears. In its earliest years, the brand was guaranteed to last “forever”, that is as long as the original owner still owned the car in which it was installed.
Shortly after I purchased the battery and it was installed by the Advance Auto Parts representative in my Truck on 9/9/21, I began to have problems with the truck not starting in the morning after it had been sitting overnight. I would drive it for a few days and not have any problems with the truck. But, sporadically after a few days I would attempt to start the truck after letting it sit overnight and in the morning before I decided to go someplace the battery would be almost completely dead requiring a jump start. After a few weeks of this I returned to the Advance Auto Parts store where I purchased the battery and they retested the battery and told me the battery and the alternator tested positive and the problem was not the battery.
About the end of December of 2021, I started getting warning lights coming up on the dash of my truck signaling ABS system problems and my speedometer went completely out. “A leading sign of a weak battery is the sudden and spontaneous illumination of multiple warning lights and warning messages in your instrument cluster, possibly accompanied by the non-functionality of various systems including the cruise control, anti-lock brakes, traction control and more”. 5 Strange Problems Caused by a weak Battery and How You Can Avoid Them, AutoTrader.ca **
At this point I was very confused and decided to seek a Ford Specialist to try and diagnose the problems. I ended up taking the Truck to TSI Ford Specialist on 2331 West Hampden Avenue on 1/3/22. I had previously installed a new security system for $804.16 (see purchase receipt dated 5/29/21 attached) in my 2010 F150 truck on 5/29/21 from Car Toys, invoice number **, store number BB127295 located on 550 Broadway in Denver. The technician advised me the security system I had installed at Car Toys may be the problem and suggested I uninstall the Car Toys security System I had installed and rewire the truck back to manufacturing settings because this may be causing a battery drain. TSI uninstalled the Car for Toys security system for $474.71 (see receipt dated 1/3/22 attached). After uninstalling the security system, the problem persisted. The Technician advised me to have the ABS module replaced.
I asked him how much would it cost me to do this? He called the Ford Dealership and they told him an ABS module would cost close to $1000 dollars. He then told me he would charge me $1000 plus labor. I asked him when he could install the ABS Module for me and he told me it would not be for another two to three months, because he had backlogs of work to do first? He told me to bring the Truck back in a few months. During the summer of 2022, I eventually purchased the ABS control module. It cost me $2000 for parts and labor to install. This resolved the warning light problems I was getting on the control panel. The problem I had with the battery going dead persisted when I parked the truck and left it sit overnight. At this point I was dumbfounded and frustrated after weeks and months of dealing with this problem so, I decided to seek an electrical specialist out.
On (11/14/22) I called Merrill Auto Electric, on 2525 Kipling Street in Lakewood Colorado and the technician told me to bring it in that morning and leave it with him. I took the truck in that same morning and spoke to **. After talking to him he told me he would charge me $150 an hour to find the problem and sometimes it could take up to 20 hours to find a parasitic leak. He told me with the advent of computer technology ascertaining the problem could be very difficult and take time because they had to wait until the problem occurred to find the source. He said because the problem occurred sporadically it could take time.
** told me at this time there was a charging device on the market that I could purchase at NAPA Auto Parts Store that I could install that could possibly be used to keep the battery charged overnights to keep the battery from being drained. He told me that the new computerized vehicles drew small amounts of amps when the car was not being used to sustain the computers. I decided at that point to go to NAPA and inquire about this charger before leaving the truck with Merrill Electric. He said it was very inexpensive and could be an alternative to paying them $150 an hour.
So, I went to a NAPA store on 5310 West 64th Avenue and spoke to the attendant there and she told me she would check the battery for me first and she did. After checking the battery, she told me the voltage level of the DieHard battery was very low and that I should take it back to Advance Auto Parts and get a new one because the warranty had not expired yet. The NAPA technician also told me that the battery may have been sitting on a shelf at the Advance store for a long period and may not have been maintained. She said this may be why it was malfunctioning. So, I left there and went to the Advance store where I purchased the battery on (9/9/21) and spoke to ** who said he was the manager. I told him I was having problems with the battery so; he had his technician go out to the truck to test the battery.
After the technician tested the battery, he told ** the manager that the battery tested good and the alternator tested good also. I told the store manager that NAPA tested the battery and told me the battery was malfunctioning. I asked that the battery be replaced with a new one because it was still under warranty and the store manager refused my request because, he said the technician tested it and said it tested good. I asked him for the corporate office number so I could report the problem to corporate.
I left after he provided me their phone number to the corporate office. According to battery experts “you can leave a brand-new battery for around three months with no lasting damage. Older batteries could go flat in a week if they are in a weak condition. A battery in excellent condition will hold its charge for an extended period. As the battery charge reduces, the acid begins to attack the battery’s metal plates. This causes sulfation, reducing battery life and its ability to hold a charge”. SOURCE: How Long Can a Car Battery Sit Unused-Battery Globe **
I left the Advance Auto Parts store and went home and called Customer Care at the Advance corporate office (877-238-2623 see email from Brent attached) and got a hold of Brent S. a Customer Care Supervisor (email: aapcustomercare@advance-auto.com) and told him what had transpired earlier. Not one of the Advance Auto representatives ever offered to give me their last names. They only provided first names. I told him that NAPA had advised me to replace the battery because, it appeared to be defective and the manager at the Advance store where I purchased the battery refused to honor the warranty. I told him if they would not honor the warranty I would go back to NAPA and purchase a new one from them. He advised me to go ahead and purchase one from NAPA and to email him the receipt from NAPA and he would refund my money to me.
I sent him the purchase receipt from NAPA for $243.19 (see attached receipt invoice number **). A few days afterwards I received a check via UPS from Advanced Auto Business Support for $234.10 (see attached check number **). After purchasing the new battery from NAPA and installing the battery I have never had the battery go dead overnight since. It was below 12% Fahrenheit in Denver a few days ago and the truck started right up without a problem after sitting overnight.
“For a time, DieHard batteries were also manufactured by Exide. In March 2001, Exide pleaded guilty to fraud conspiracy charges and agreed to pay a fine of $27.5 million to end a federal criminal investigation into auto-battery sales to customers of Sears, Roebuck & Company. The case rose from investigations and accusations that Exide conspired with Sears to sell used batteries as new to Sears customers and that Exide officials had paid bribes to conceal the fraud. Diehard battery afterward returned to Johnson Controls. Advance Auto Parts announced on December 23, 2019 that it had bought the DieHard Brand for $200 million.” Die Hard (brand) – Wikipedia **
When Advance Auto Parts sold me the DieHard Battery, I assumed it was of the upmost quality because of DieHard's past history. The original DieHard batteries had an unlimited warranty because the original manufacturer built a product that would last. The DieHard battery Advance Auto Parts is selling is a DieHard by name only and has a limited two-year warranty. The original manufacturer does not produce this battery any longer. Advance Auto is misrepresenting the facts to the consumer by selling a product that has a brand name that does not hold true its original standard. NAPA said the DieHard battery that Advance Auto Parts sold to me on 9/9/2021 was not properly maintained.

Watch it when you google your parts and a similar one almost identical is in the AAP link at less than 1/2 the price, be careful with these people, without purchasing anything google it when Advance comes up with a deal that you can't refuse. You will see later that the part is not for the vehicle you stated. If you screwed up and purchased the item due to the fake price GOOD LUCK. You will need it. The lady behind the counter sent a guy out to try to figure out what size my engine was as I’m not that knowledgeable about that sort of thing. He couldn’t find anything. I finally found it by going through paperwork in the glove box. I was given options on what was in stock and purchased the best available. The lady even put it in the back of my Equinox for me. I made it to work today and at lunch I went out and switched out my battery. People were surprised that Advance Auto didn’t switch it out for me. I had no idea they did that.
After work I took the old battery back to the store. I asked the guy behind the counter if they installed car batteries. He was very adamant in stating that “He would NOT install a battery that had been taken off property.” I said that I wasn’t asking him to. Then I realized that he wasn’t even paying attention to me. He was focused on what the people at the next counter were talking about.
I told him that I would be happy to wait while he took care of them. He said “No. Give me your receipt.” I tried to ask again if they installed car batteries and if so, why the install wouldn’t have been mentioned when I purchased the battery. He told me again that he wouldn’t do it because the battery had been taken off property. I said that I wasn’t asking him to install it. I had already done that. Thus the old battery sitting in front of him. He finally said that he doesn’t know why they didn’t install it because he wasn’t there yesterday. I’m disappointed that installation wasn’t even offered when I purchased the battery. I’m disgusted by the way I was treated when I brought the core back. I will NEVER step foot in that store again. So I bought a battery at Advance Auto in El Paso, Texas two years ago and it was under warranty. Well, after about eight months it began to corrode (leaving lots of corrosion on the battery). I went back to the location in December of 2020 and they agreed to replace with a new battery. I had to find someone and paid them $45 to install. At least I had a new battery that was going to last, right? WRONG! I took my vehicle in to Pep Boys for an oil change and tire rotation. They sent me an image of my battery with corrosion all over it again! NEW BATTERY from eight months ago.
I was out of town for the next week so when I got back last week I went back into Advance Auto and spoke with Octavio. I didn't have my original receipt but he was able to locate everything via the computer. He said the battery was too small for my vehicle and that they would replace it (and install) with a larger one for $20 (because the one in my vehicle was only eight months old). I told him I'd be back on Monday (Labor Day) for this to happen. Well, I went in and Octavio wasn't in until noon (it was 10am when I showed up). I spoke with another employee (can't remember his name) and he said the battery I have in my vehicle is fine and that I didn't need a larger one. But, he said, he would honor what Octavio promised for $20. He asked that I go to the parking lot and pop my hood, so I did.
About five minutes later he comes out to the parking lot and says that the battery is no longer under warranty! WHAT? I told him (and he has proof) that it was a replacement battery (brand new) and was only in my vehicle for eight months. He said that didn't matter, it goes back to the original battery from two years ago and nothing they can do about it. He didn't flinch, just looked at me! I was livid, so I left. I've been unemployed (working freelance) since last May because the pandemic has affected my business dramatically. I don't have money to go out and purchase a new battery and have it installed - I can barely pay my bills. I'm also helping to support my 87 year-old mother. I'm not asking for a freebie, just asking for a replacement on something I purchased and went bad. I WILL NOT EVER STEP FOOT IN THIS STORE AGAIN AND WILL BE TELLING ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO DO THE SAME!

I then called Advanced Auto Parts again, and after about 30 minutes explaining the situation to them, they told me again to bring the part back to the store (without a refund), and they would order it for me. They did give me a $10 credit for the inconvenience it caused me. But I don’t think I will be going back to them, as they have lost my business, and there are plenty of other parts stores near me.

I visited the shop at Mason road/99 in Richmond TX to have my batteries that were still under warranty checked. Told Luis, the guy in front that I needed to get my battery tested. He came out to the car with me, tested the first battery that I did not get from Advanced Auto and told me that the battery was completely dead and that they could not do anything about that. Which implied that I needed to replace it. Told him that I will get it replaced from where I got it from since it’s still under warranty. Then he tested the second battery which I got from Advanced auto, he said the machine could not connect to the terminals. He kept on trying to adjust the clamps but it didn’t work. He tried it on the first one he had previously tested. I asked if it worked, his answer was no. Which made me suspect that the machine did not work the first time.
So I said I needed a replacement because the battery is not working. He said well they cannot give me a replacement until they test the battery to understand what is wrong with it. So I asked if I could drop the battery, he said well his machine isn’t working so he cannot test it even though I drop off the battery. So I was like, are you asking me to leave and not exercise my warranty because your machine doesn’t work? He said no but even though I drop it, he doesn’t have any other machine to test it. All this time, he was being rude and arrogant in his tone, I tried to stay calm. So I asked him if he was the manager, he said no. Then I asked to speak to his manager and he said he is inside, beckoning me to go inside the store to find his manager.
Manager’s name was Xavier, cool guy. I hadn’t finished explaining the battery issue when he said, "We will have it replaced for you sir." This is just an example of people that can give an establishment a bad name if you allow them to engage your customers. Luis has no biz interacting with customers. Get him trained or reassign him to handle some back office stuff. Thanks Xavier. Guys, if you ever visit this store, stay away from Luis. He is Bonafide **.

Why is a big online business always closed for customer service complaints? Don't trust the online ordering system. Even if it shows items as being in stock and available for pickup, it's not always accurate. I placed a order for pickup and never received the confirmation that it was ready for pickup, despite receiving directives that it would be available in 30 minutes both during checkout and in my order confirmation. After waiting beyond the 30 minutes for the pickup confirmation, I opened a chat with an Advance Auto employee on their website who reaffirmed that my order was ready for pickup even though I hadn't received the pickup confirmation. I even provided this person with the order number to be sure.
I then went to the store to pickup the order and an employee inside stated, "we're out of stock on that item." This entire situation could have been avoided if the website accurately displayed inventory. I advise you to call ahead to be sure an item is in stock even if the website says it is or you may end up wasting your time like I have done on two occasions.

I went in the morning of December 14, 2020 and purchased it, a more than 600 dollar purchase, paid upfront.
The week ended and I gave them the benefit of the doubt, the following Monday I called to make sure the cylinder head had arrived and they then told me no, they would not receive it until January 18, 2021, the company they ordered it from, in which they referred to as Spartan would need to build the thing first. So I have checked back periodically to see if maybe out of some force of good luck it had arrived a little early. Today is January 18, 2021, guess what, still no cylinder head! Once this whole experience is over I would not purchase anything from Advance Auto Parts, not even a set of wiper blades.

Let me begin by saying I am a long time customer of Advanced Auto Parts in Kansas City, Missouri. Recently I purchased a 2010 Chrysler 300 C. It started to act up last week by not starting all the time. I assumed it was a battery issue and went and purchased a very expensive version of their merely 3 year battery for the amount of $230 with the inclusion of a core charge that was to be returned to me upon submission of my old battery. The girl who sold it to me loaded it on a cart and told me I could use the cart to take it to my car. I did not ask her and was a bit dumbfounded by her lack of interest after the sale. I am an older woman but pretty able bodied, however on the way out the door the carpet toppled the cart sending the battery crashing to the floor. The girl who sold it had retreated to the back of the store. I picked it up and put it back on the cart. The corner had chipped off but I didn't care. I thought it was going in my car.
Well it didn't. The problem was the starter, not the battery. I went to advanced Auto Parts today to return the item I could not use. I was denied a refund due to the damage on the battery, including the core charge that in my honest opinion their "professional" employees should have prevented by helping me to the car with my HEAVY purchase. Needless to say I will no longer do business with that entity and after getting screwed by the auto shop who fixed the starter on my car I will no longer deal with or support any corporation who is not listed as a local small business. I feel this is incredibly important in these times of COVID_19 Pandemic crisis. Corporations do not have our best interests in mind. Support your neighbors and your friends.

Advance local managers would not help. I emailed the CEO of Advance USA and he got me some help. I ended up with $1500.00 back on the engine. I had to go to the top man. On 06/12/17 I had Mcdonough Auto buy motor through Advance and installation by his shop. Because I spoke to sales at Advance & they said Spartan engines are very good last 150,000 miles plus. Well, I drive back and forth to mainly doctors appointment after brain surgery and heart surgery and cancer over last few years so not many miles on my truck.
August 5th 2020, 3 years and a couple weeks later the engine blew with 21,000 miles on it. 8 oil changes. No warning sounds like Bottom end came apart. 3 year warranty. Called and Advance Corporate blows me off. Spartan engines blames Advance and not a dang soul takes blame for poorly built engines. I’d be ashamed. I know 3 years warranty is 3 years. But 21,000 miles is Ridiculous and really not fair. Especially when the sales people bragged on their engine.
I’m pissed off and disgusted with liars and cheats like Advance Auto Parts. A few weeks out of warranty and screw the customer that’s bought from them since they opened in Georgia. I hope people read and not trust These corporate giants. McDonough Radiator and Auto can't help Advance sold us a horrible engine. Duane is a good guy and I hate to mention his shop. I’ve rebuilt my truck through Advance front end brakes, fuel pump. I will not buy from Advance or Spartan engines ever again. I’m being nice here.

My boyfriend ordered three different parts to be picked up at the Irondequoit location. When we arrived, CJ "helped" us. He was so rude I was disgusted. When he pulled up the order and went to grab the parts, he came back with only one. Since the belt ordered was the wrong one, he cancelled the whole order. Not only did that void the purchase of all three parts (which takes day to clear), but we also lost the online discount. CJ was visibly belittling my boyfriend for having ordered the wrong part. Shaking his head and trying to explain as if we had zero education. It was a simple mistake. My boyfriend is a mechanic and has worked on cars over ten years. I wonder how CJ treats customers that know nothing about cars? Or what CJ knows about cars from behind a sales counter??
After deciphering the mess of finding the other parts again, CJ entered the new order and the total was over $20 more in the store than online. He claims he gave us a 20% discount, so why is it more? That makes no sense to me. As someone who has grown up in customer service, I believe it's always about honoring the customer. If we're paying more than we should have had to because you cancelled our entire order without looking at it first, the least he could have done was be polite or professional or hey both. At one point he took the time while helping us to chat with the worker next to him.. about finding poop in a car. Except when he told us he used the word "**". I'm glad I didn't bring my daughter with me. How unprofessional.
Lastly, I heard him wish the customer in front of us "a wonderful day" and to us he didn't even say goodbye. I feel awful for the other employees that are overseen by such a rude and wrongfully big-headed CJ. I will not be returning to this location and CJ should rethink telling customers that he's been working at AAP for years if he isn't going to show he knows how to do the job properly. Updated on 01/17/2020: After having a problem with a warranty item, talked with the manager, who accused me of name calling, and agitating his employees, which was not true. I pointed out the listing of the product, and my issues with the way it had been handled. Seeing that it was not going to be resolved, I merely stated that I would no longer be purchasing any parts from this store. He said I had said this before, which I have not. Not sure why the insults, but one should be aware that if you have an issue with something at the store, you may get hung up on as I did. It was not what I consider friendly.
Original review: Before you buy anything from here with the lifetime limited replacement, check to see exactly what that means. They purge their records after 3 years, so your purchase history is erased, and it's up to you to prove that you bought it, and a lot of these parts are NOT under any type of replacement, after a few months. After receiving a response from the corporate office, they said this-: "To clarify, our limited lifetime warranty covers any new part that fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use and service after proper installation, and lasts for the expected or average lifetime of the part. This would not cover normal wear and tear or anything outside of the above". Sound any better? So, before you pay any more to Advance for a "limited lifetime replacement", I would consider other options. The box stores are driving the public to online shopping, with no sense of loyalty to customer, or customer service.

YOUR book which is provided by YOUR employees expressed the wrong size bulb. When returning the bulbs YOUR store employees explained that WE did not ask your employees for help therefore it is not their problem and we can no longer return them. This is unprofessional on behalf of your store employees who although didn’t help us but provided us with a in store book that is faulty and incorrect. I was told “to bite the bullet because I can not return $115 light bulbs that didn’t fit my truck that the magazine said it would. I will never step foot in this store again!

I seldom write negative reviews, but this time I feel obligated. I stopped into the AAP location listed above simply to replace a burnt out low-beam headlight bulb. I gave the clerk my vehicle info. He checked for the part in the computer system, and provided the bulb. He emphasized strongly that the bulb could not be returned if the package was opened. I trusted that he provided the correct bulb, but soon learned that it didn't fit the socket--which of course required the package to be opened.
I returned to the store and explained to the clerk my problem--with the original burnt out bulb in hand. He checked the system and showed me the part number of the bulb that he originally sold me--which was different than the part number of the bulb I was holding. Sort of a long way of saying that the computer info was flawed and probably contains other erroneous info. To his credit (Dakota B. is his name), he was willing to replace the bulb despite the package having already been opened (this is the only reason I'm awarding more than one star). Unfortunately, the bulb (which now fit perfectly) did not turn on. At first I suspected a bad fuse or relay, but both checked out. I had to travel for the Holidays, so I couldn't go back to the store right away.
While traveling, I purchased from an Autozone a bulb that worked without issue. The Autozone clerk said that she would replace the bulb if it did not work or fit, even if the package was opened. When I returned to Sc, I went to the AAP hoping to simply get a replacement for what was obviously a defective bulb. The manager working that morning said something to the effect of, "sorry, Partner, there ain't nothing I can do for that bulb, since it ain't one we carry."
He went on to claim that the grey base of the bulb indicated that it was the auto manufacturer's bulb (not true) and not one that AAP would carry (also not true, since I had taken it off the shelf myself when I swapped it out). It was a Sylvania bulb, so I suppose Sylvania is ultimately to blame for carrying defective bulbs, but the fact that this manager couldn't admit it is unsettling. Between the faulty computer system and this type of "service", I would recommend making a trip to the Autozone on the same street instead.

When he found out that they don’t carry the gap coins, he still proceeded to Walk to the back to get me the parts that weren’t pregapped. I had to call home back to the front to look up pregapped and he didn’t know the difference. So I ended up having to get the original ones and drive to wonderful Auto Zone go get the coin.
While I was paying I asked the guy for a lube pack for the parts and he didn’t say nothing and looked away. So I asked the other employee and the rude guy gave said that he told me he was going to give me one and didn’t know why I was asking someone else about it! I sent in a request on FB messenger to speak to someone about him and no one called me back about it. Then I had to exchange one part the same night because it was broken. He gave me and my sister a messed up look and got us a manager.
My 3rd experience was even worse. I called to order Kore parts and the first person I talked to said they had one each at 4 locations and could pick them up and have them ready by 3pm. He then transferred me to I guess the parts guy and he said he’d transfer them over have and them in by 5pm same day. I asked if I needed to pay for it and he said I could pay when I picked them up. I paid 24.13 for the heater and went to my vehicle to install the heater. 10 minutes after installing the heater it quit working and also blew my fuse. I returned back to the store within 30 minutes of the purchase and explained what happened. At this time the person assisting was Ray. He was very rude from the beginning stating in some sort that I did not know how to install it and that it did work.
I explained that it worked for 10 minutes then quit. He then proceed to look at a fuse on the device. He then stated, "Oh yes. The safety fuse was not attached properly from the manufacturer and that is what caused the malfunction and my car fuse to blow." I then asked for a refund and also if they could replace my fuse since this was a defective device. Initially he refuse both and told me to call the manufacturer and file a complaint. The problem is there was no phone number on the packaging. I advised him that is unacceptable and requested my refund.
We went back and forth and finally he said he would refund my money after I said I would call corporate. He then proceeded to tell me that he would not do anything about my fuse. I asked for the manager and he state he was the manager. I then stated how am I going to file a claim with no company info. He then rudely stated he didn't know and that's my problem. Then he stated there is a web address on the back of the package try that.
I was very disappointed in the experience because the service I received was terrible and it was coming from someone the company chose to have represent them as a manager. I went in with my refund card and tried to get a price on an air conditioner compressor and then a few days later I found out that there was no money on the card but there was $150 on the card when I walked in. Meanwhile if you go to try to return something they're always trying to put it on a on a gift card or retail card or whatever because they never have the money you gave them to purchase the car part to begin with. So they always are trying to convince you to you know I don't take the money just put it on a refund card so then they can just steal it off the refund card when you go back to get a price for something else. I filed a complaint dispute with Sarah their customer service and they're completely giving me the runaround as usual cuz they want to keep the hundred fifty bucks because they're a bunch of Thieves. My battery failed unexpectedly the morning of a family trip to NYC, so I took my vehicle over to Advanced Auto to have a new battery installed. When I arrived the two parts counter employees started bickering over who was going to install the battery and who would watch the counter. Once that was decided, the employee installing it could not find the proper socket to remove the battery bolts (The store is full of tools) so he decided to use a regular wrench.
In order to use the wrench, he removed the large air intake duct that feeds air to the engine. In the midst of this, he went back inside to ring other customers up and the bickering continued between him and his colleague. He came back out and finished the install and closed the hood. I offered him a $10 tip for his time, which he gladly accepted. I figured he was having a bad day and maybe it would help. Instead, I drove home and found that he had not reinstalled the intake duct properly. He had removed all of the fasteners and did not replace them, choosing to just put the duct in loose. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine that this is unacceptable. Thankfully, I had some fasteners in my garage and was able to correct the problem. Otherwise, who knows what would have happened on our trip. Breaking down on the NJ Turnpike is very dangerous.
Today I contacted Advanced to file a complaint and see if they would refund or compensate me for my problems. The person I spoke with first told me that "The install is free" and that "the employee is not a qualified mechanic". I wonder what people would think if an airline told passengers their pilot was not an FAA certified pilot? I told her that this was not my problem, they advertise the service as incentive to buy a battery from them, it is up to them to make sure the employee knows what he/she is doing.
She offered me a $20 discount or a $50 gift card. $20 does not really cut it for this kind of safety hazard. I told her a $50 credit to my card would be acceptable. She then said she would speak with her manager. She came back and said they would give me %15 ($25) because there was a discount on the battery. Again, this is not my problem, their employee did not put my vehicle back together properly. As this had taken almost 45 minutes and I have work to do, I told her to send me the $50 gift card. This is still not acceptable but I can't spend hours trying to right this wrong. Thus, buyer beware when you have a battery installed by Advanced Auto. I would have done it myself but I had surgery on my arm and I can no longer lift a heavy battery or turn stuck bolts. That is why I trusted Advanced Auto to do the job properly. I’ve been having some concerns with my 2013 6.2L V8 motor. I frequently shop between AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts and I’ve always believed Advance Auto Parts to be a step ahead- but never had any reasoning to justify it until now. I went into the Newark NY store this evening and met a gentleman by the name of Kyle who I spoke to on the phone about some spark plugs and head gasket information. I insisted that my motor was a 6.2L V8 because that was how it was sold to me at the dealer- and the sticker under the hood confirmed that as well as the dealer info.
Kyle took one glance at my motor and informed me it was indeed a 5.0 liter. So apparently the salesperson at the dealership misdirected me into buying it as a different motor. I purchased the truck for my fiancé at the time so I never really questioned it. Kyle not only pointed me in the right direction but he wouldn’t allow me to buy the gasket sealer I wanted because he insisted it would never work with the type of gasket material my motor had. Turns out the hood had been replaced (even though I bought the truck brand new). He showed me how it had been painted. He said sometimes it happens when they ship them on a tractor trailer - someone should inform the dealership of that!
Kyle literally saved my motor and my life. The level of expertise that was bestowed upon me by this gentleman is the same reason I go to church. He actually cared and you know; it’s hard to put a value on that. Invaluable expertise to say the least. I am in debt to this gentleman and because of that- I’m now strictly an Advance Auto Parts guy for life.
I can’t thank you enough Kyle. Somebody should recognize when customer service exceeds the boundaries of everyday transactions. This guy deserves a raise and some serious recognition for his level of expertise. I would’ve never gotten this type of service through AutoZone- they just do not have the knowledge and your company should be proud of that. It takes a lot to impress me. Kyle blew me away- and he did it with kindness and professionalism that I was beginning to fear no longer existed in this community of auto parts sales. It’s all about sales right? I beg to differ. It’s about caring and being honest. You need more than 5 stars for situations like this! Fantastic experience!

After I get home I look online and find Advance's price match guarantee which clearly states they will honor competitor and even their own website pricing in the store if you choose to go into the store and show the price to the team member.
I went back to my local store to have them look at my receipt and they still balked at the online price and said that it's the sale price when you buy it online and they didn't want to honor that price so I told them I would return the 4 bottles of oil and then purchase it online to get that pricing. Then the clerk is somehow able to mysteriously resolve the issue and gives it to me at buy 1 full price get one 1/2 off which in the end works out to be the same amount as $7.86 qt. I didn't know about their price match guarantee and told the first store that places such as Walmart, Lowe's and many other stores will price match but they never asked me to show them the online price and I did show it to the other store that resolved it which in the end saved me $6-$7.

The manager entered my phone number and easily found the parts we ordered. No apology, as the manager didn't know that I heard the conversation. The first employee should not be working with people. It was really bad. I will not be returning to Advance Auto Parts.

I also have got to pay to have it replaced again since it wasn't the mechanic's fault. They should pay to have the work redone. Now I have got to wait until I can come up with the money.

The battery on my Focus failed to start the engine after a night with record low temperatures of -22 degrees in Chicagoland. The guy from State Farm roadside service came & jumped the car & got it started & he thought the battery was the wrong type - it was too small for the tray. So, I went battery shopping. First at Wal-Mart on Randal Road where they offered a replacement 96 type for 90 dollars. For a comparison I went over to an Advance Auto Parts store nearby. They had only one such battery - a 96 category - for 190 dollars with a 3 year warranty. Gave my a spiel about how Wal-mart's batteries are no good, you get what you pay for, etc., etc. I was foolish enough to buy from them. They mentioned that Farm & Fleet had good batteries, so I drove 20 miles to F & F in Montgomery where the clerk found two batteries that would fit - the 40 & 96 categories.
I decided that I liked the 40 because it was larger & looked like it would fit the tray so I decided to buy it - for 128 dollars with a 7 year warranty. Well, when I tried to return the other battery to a nearby Advance shop, the song & dance started. We can't take this because it's been installed (I had documentation that I had the thing for only 1 hour during which I was on the road), batteries can't be returned because of the warranty, you have to take it back to the original shop, etc. Well, I needed a battery to install in the car next morning & I decided I'd better return the F & F battery pronto so they couldn't claim that it had been installed.
Headed back next door to F & F and they refunded my money with no hassles. I apologized & told them my story about how I was stuck with an overpriced battery that I didn't want & how I would never do business with Advance Auto Parts again. I usually buy parts from AutoZone & they never hassle me like this. Looking at the other reviews at this website it appears lots of people have troubles with returns & their service. Looks like Advance had better get their act together or they will go the way of Kmart & Sears.

On December 3, 2018, I bought 4 Diff Mount Bushing (PC11340638) for a Cadillac CTS. I was not able to use the parts because the issues with the car turns out not to be the Diff Mount Bushing (my bad completely). Today, I went to the store to return the unopened, new, untouched parts and I was informed by the manager that it was over 45 days already and that a return was not possible.
I did agree with the manager & the store policy (I did not see or read the policy, also the receipt does not say anything about the limited time for returns) but I asked the manager for a one time exception of policy since first, the parts were in the same condition they were handed to me & second, the parts were not electrical or perishable. The manager, again informed me that he would not accept them back. For whatever reason, I thought that the store manager had the ability to do the return and simply Chose not to.

In contacting management several times, they agreed with me and stated, "They should have taken the product back".
The aforesaid is a small part of Advance as we see this business declining at a rapid rate. Advance is more interested in finding ways to deceive people with their alleged discounts whereby there really is no discount. Many parts are not even in house where one has to place an order and then Advance tacks on a substantial shipping fee. Today (30 days after purchase of two) Advance checked the batteries. One was completely discharged, and the others were at different levels of charge but apparently still good. I told Bob the manager I wanted to replace all, exchange the two I purchased 30 days ago because one was completely discharged the other was fine and the other two were at different levels of charge. In other words, all of them were at different levels of charge.
If all the batteries are hooked up to the same charger they should all be at the same level. One month ago when I wanted to replace all of them I should not have been advise to only replace the two that their diagnostic equipment said were good, in fact, all deep cycle batteries that are run together should always be replaced together.

Young guy helping me said that he'd have to order everything in and that it would take about a week to get the parts. No problem, I was okay with it and even paid upfront $437.13 to ensure proper service. Told him to just give me a call when everything was received and ready for pick up.
Two weeks later I decided to call the store to find out if everything was received and ready for pick up, because of course I was never called the following week, but no big surprise there! So the other young guy "Bobby" who answers puts me on hold to check and see if they are all there. 10 minutes later, other guy picks up the phone telling me that "Bobby" was looking into it and asks if I can hold a little longer, I said, "sure, no problem". 5-7 minutes later, "Bobby" picks up the phone and asks who helped me, because he has no record of the parts even being ordered. So I described the kid who helped me originally and then "Bobby" tells me that that guy no longer works there.
At this point I am becoming annoyed, well how does that concern me? Then I asked well I would like my money back, since clearly you failed to get them! "Bobby" tells me, "Sure, just bring in your receipt and I can help you out." I asked, "Well why can't you just look it up and return my money to my card you charged, I don't have the receipt or time to come in and waste more time for a problem that is not mine?" He tells me without a receipt I'm not going to be refunded. I said, "That's ridiculous, let me speak to the store manager, what's your name?" He then tells me that his name is "Bobby" and that he is the manager and if I'm going to be upset about this that he can't and literally refuses to help me.
I said, "You charged me $437.13 for parts that I didn't receive, just who in the hell do you think you are?" I then said, "Fine I'll contact your corporate office and handle it, as well as file a formal complaint," he basically tells me, "Fine you go right on ahead, because I really don't care." So, at this point I call Advanced Auto Parts customer service hotline (waste of time), I get the prompts, nothing matches my reasons for calling, so I pick one, 25 minutes later I get a "service representative" who tells me wrong department, here I'll transfer you over, 35 minutes later, computer generated message says contact online help desk because their phone line is just too busy!
So, I called my bank and filed a dispute on the transaction. Nevertheless, what a joke this place has become! I'm putting this out there for everyone else to see so you can know what kind of service you are getting from these fly by night "parts professionals" and cookie cutter retail chain stores that are a waste of time and money in the long run! Bottom line, go to the dealer for your parts, they'll be correct, fit properly, be surprisingly equal in cost, and you'll receive far better results for your hard earned money!

I purchased a starter for $177.99 and $12 for the core. I returned to the store with the core and was told I couldn't get a refund since my wife purchased the starter on her debit card. They took cash immediately out of her bank account. My wife is out of state with a sick family member. I emailed the corporate office, no response. I called and waited on hold 20 minutes, nothing. I tried live chat. 24 minute wait. I sent a second email and let Advance Auto know I am out of options and will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. All this over $12 that is rightfully my money. This is a small amount but multiply $12 by the number of customers they steal from and it adds up. I run a small farm service business and constantly need parts, so this tells me that they don't need my business. I would think my issue would have been resolved easily but have gotten nowhere. I am open to suggestions if anyone has one.

I purchased an item and discovered the item wasn't needed and proceeded with a return and requested a cash refund since I had used a debit card and PIN. Refund policy summary CLEARLY states that should you request the cash back in this situation. They are happy to do it. ** at store #4610 Patton Ave. ASHEVILLE, NC, violated that policy when she refused to do so. Not to mention how incredibly rude she was about it. Who do people think they are???

I had ordered parts needed for my vehicle online & paid with confirmation code. I arrived at same name store closer to my home 10min. away from each other with my paper copy with confirmation code. They called the store at 2727 US Hwy. 92 Lakeland, Fl to see if they can transfer the order to the one closer to my home speaking to the manager & he bluntly said no. I thought that they were supposed to be professional and courteous to the customer. I guess that isn’t so for certain stores.

I purchased a car battery for my occasionally used car a few years ago. When I got it, there was battery acid all over the place, and the sales guy had to clean it up. Obviously, the battery had been tipped over for some time. But the sales person said "not to worry." We tested it and it looked OK. After that, it only took a few years for the battery to start to fail. Even though it's a "sealed" lead-acid battery, I decided to open it, and to my surprise, there is very little electrolyte left, about half. So, it was tipped over. I should add more sulfuric acid because water alone probably will not work. Bad. The "pro-rated" warranty is sort of useless. No more Advance Auto for me.

I went to Advance Auto in Greer to buy a part for my car and they sold me the part and I used my bank card. Went back to my car to install it and yes it’s was the wrong part. 15mins later back at the store and now they don’t have the right part and cannot order one. So I wanted my money back so that I could go to AutoZone to buy it and they had it in stock but no they didn’t give me my money back. They give me a In store credit and now what the Hell I suppose to do with it. Now no money to go to AutoZone to buy it and now I am really???? I think they just took my money????

Went to buy spark plugs and all they had was most expensive ones in stock, we said, "No thanks. Saw them cheaper." We were told there is a rebate so it come to less than if they had cheaper ones in stock. They denied our rebate with no reason.

Advance Auto Parts is the worst auto parts store that exists, buy a sensor I received one that was not the one for my car. When I went to the store to have it exchange for the right one the representative refused to make the change. I had to call customer service and it took me 1 hour for them to finally answer me, and the correct sensor was broken defective and the same story was repeated, wasted my time on the phone for over an hour to tell me they can not help me, I lost almost $200 to buy parts that are useless. Everything they sell are very poor quality, they do not work, they come out defective and it is always a problem when you wants to make a claim, or want to exchange or your money back. Worst auto parts ever. Don't waste your money.

I placed an online order around 4pm for pickup at Store 8503, 2842 E STATE ST, SALEM, OH 44460... At around 7pm I arrived at the store to pick up my order, a counter person named ** ask what he could do for me, I told him I was there to pick up my online order and him my name... He went back and checked and came back up and said they didn't have anything for me... I told him I order it online about 3 hours ago and selected the Salem store for the pickup location, he said, "Oh, you order it online, me go check again," when he came back up he said, "I don't have anything for you."
I asked him to look it up and see if they actually had the parts there at the store, and he went back and brought them up to the counter, then he said, "Will there be anything else?" And proceeded to start ringing up an order, I said NO, and I don't want the plugs, because I'm not going to pay for them twice, I already paid for a set online and I used a 25% off discount when I checked out.
He snatched the plugs up off the counter and started to walk away while saying, "Then come back with your confirmation number." I replied, "Yeah," and, "So much for the 20 minute drive to get here," and called him an ** for being less than helpful and having an attitude with me. As I was leaving the store and almost out the door I heard ** say, "**." I quickly turned around and went back in and said, "What did you just say to me?" He replied, "I'm just repeating what you said." I asked, "Who's your manager?" He said, "I am." I said, "Whats your name?" He opened his jacket to reveal the name **.
I told him I would be contacting Corporate to let them know just how he treats his customers. He said, "Go right ahead. They can't do a thing. I can do whatever I want. I can even throw you out of my store if I want." I looked at him and said, "I very much doubt that." I then told him, "Expect to be fired because I pretty sure Corporate won't like to hear how you talk to and treat your customers."
