I had another service, and it was about three times as much money per month. I'm old and I needed to find one that was more in line with my life. My son found Bay Alarm and it was rated number one. They were nice online when I checked it. I've checked the medical alert device once to make sure everything's working, and it is. It's great. I haven't had it that long and haven't had to use it, but it's there. The other device that I had would go off if I looked at it. But this one with Bay Alarm, I have to punch it, so I’m not having them call me every 15 minutes. Also, the price is one I can afford. Bay Alarm is the one I would get if I need a medical alert system.

I found Bay Alarm online and went with it. I don’t live with my mother so it’s more of a convenience for me and a reassurance. She likes it and wears it as a wristband. The experience with the team and the customer service has been great.

Bay Alarm notifies me if my dad has an issue. It's easy to use for him. He had a couple of experiences where he set it off accidentally. He has one pendant that he wears around his neck, and the other one that looks like a watch. If he's doing his daily chore like brushing his teeth, the pendant will swing and hit the cabinet, and it sets it off. But it is what it is.

The service was OK, but I was talked into purchasing the unit for a full-year for a slightly discounted price, and was told they would refund me if only a portion of the year was used. I returned the equipment after 5 months, received an email confirming it. The refund never came. I called again, and they said there was a credit card problem, they would send a check. A month later, no check. I called again. My phone number isn't in the system. My account number is useless to anyone trying to help. They have stolen $90 from me. When I call from my phone now, the call goes straight to a "hold" status and I hear music, and no one even answers the phone. This is a rip-off company... be careful paying upfront.

I like Bay Alarm's pricing. My experience with them has been very favorable. They are good all the way around. The install process was great as well. I've not had an occasion to use it since I put it on, but it's like an insurance policy. There's a safety precaution. Yesterday, I had a power outage here, and they sent a message telling me that they detected a power outage. I knew about it as it was scheduled, but it was still good that they caught it.

My mother has a gait walking problem. She's older and still lives alone. Once she started having problems with her mobility, we decided the best option would be to get a medical alert system. I did some research and in looking through the different options out there, Bay Alarm seemed to be more reasonably priced. Their website was very easy to navigate, and it seemed pretty easy to set up the service. They also had a lot of information online so I didn't have to call somebody and get a sales pitch. Most of what was online was all I needed.
So far, it's been great with Bay Alarm. We only had one snag where I had called in to ask a question about replacing one of the alert buttons that we thought we might have lost. I called in to ask how to do that 'cause you can't do that on a website. The person I spoke with was very helpful and told me exactly what we needed to do, if in fact we did lose our alert button. But what ended up happening was they then charged us for something separate and mailed us something separate in the mail. But I spoke with them this week, and we're gonna mail it back and do a refund. They were very apologetic so it all turned out fine.

I did an online search and compared Bay Alarm Medical to some of the others that came up on the computer. It's better priced than most out there. When I called a few times, they were very professional, courteous, and took care of all my questions. Fortunately, we haven't had to activate the alarm in a medical emergency, but we're satisfied with it. I would recommend it.

The Bay Alarm Medical device works. The only thing I don't like about it is that it blinks all the time. It's very distracting. I talked to somebody about it one time, and he said, "We can turn it off, but then you wouldn't know whether the thing was working or not." But I never wear it out of the house, in public. I figure if I fall in public, somebody else will call the rescue squad. I only wear it when I'm at home by myself.
I looked at all the write-ups on different companies and different people's recommendations and Bay Alarm seemed like the best one. I was doing something the other day, but I alerted them, and I was absolutely amazed when I heard this voice, "Are you all right?" I was like, "Where is that coming from?" And it was coming from my arm. I didn't know what I was doing that could have triggered it. But I thought it was a good thing. Having it also makes my children feel so much better.

The light on my device is on, but when I stand up, the light goes out and it doesn't go back on. When I put it on my wrist and walk around, there's no light. The only time there's a light is when it's charging, and when I lay it down again, it'll say charging again, but there's no light on the apparatus when it's on my body. I call it to check that it's working because Bay Alarm keeps sending me emails that say that I have a low signal. I don't trust it to go outside and walk around because it's not working, and I haven't gotten any false alarms.
Bay Alarm keeps sending me emails, but they don't call me or do anything. If I fall, somebody will talk to me on the device. It's supposed to come on and say, "Are you in danger? Did you fall?" I haven't been using my device, even though I have $598 worth of money that I spent for my membership. I haven't even installed the lock box outside because they say it's not working properly. I called them once, and they couldn't help me. Nobody's ever called me to ask me what I think and I need them to call me because I'm not wearing it.

Have not even received the device yet and thoroughly unimpressed. I order it for my dad, it's in the mail, and while we're moving him to be closer to me, I get a text alert they detected from his device. Then the apartment manager where we're moving him, calls to say there's an ambulance at his empty apartment 4 hours away. I called the company to see what happened and didn't get much of an answer, just an apology. So my confidence is shaken already. I ask to have someone in charge call me, to explain why this happened, and two days have gone by. No response. Supposed to get the device tomorrow. I may just send it back unopened.

I bought the Bay Alarm Medical device mostly for my wife. She died in October and I've switched the device over to my name and I am keeping it for use when I do anything hazardous like when I climb a ladder or work in my shop. I live alone now and I find it comforting to have the device available if I'm doing anything that could be risky. I like the fact that the the Bay Alarm device works wherever 'cause I'm more likely to need to use it if I'm out away from home. When I'm doing work in my shop, I can't be sure that I can reach my cell phone so I put the device around my neck and stick it under my shirt as I can't have a risk of the lanyard getting caught in the machinery.
My wife was always upset that she didn't have something that would clip the device to her clothing. It would be nice if Bay Alarm had such a thing. She didn't wear belts, so the belt clip was too big. Also, it was too clunky. Her skin was sensitive, so she couldn't stand to have the wristband as well. It would totally cut into her thin skin. A lot of old people get very thin skin and have to be careful about what comes in contact with their skin. Something that clips to the clothing gets the job done. Other than that, Bay Alarm Medical is a very good device. I like the size of the device and the way it recharges. Every once in a while, I do the test, and the voices are very clear. I wear hearing aids but I can understand it just fine. I'd recommend Bay Alarm Medical to friend.

My husband's Bay Alarm device does exactly what I expected it to do. When he falls, it makes things easier. The only problem we had was on Christmas, it took a long time for somebody to call back. Finally, the sheriff's department did call and we were able to get him up. Bay Alarm seemed to be pretty much the same product as the others but at a less expensive price.

ChatGPT took me to a couple different companies and Bay Alarm was one of them. We were thinking about getting the smart watch for my mom and between Bay Alarm and another company, it looked like the smartwatch from Bay Alarm was a little bit smaller and more discreet. Then I called Bay Alarm and I talked to a wonderful person who gave me some advice on what device to pick. We ultimately didn't go with the smartwatch because the battery life was the main thing. But it also would have been confusing for my mom. So, we ended up with just the wristwatch type alert device.
Right after she got it, she wore all day but not so much around the house. If she went out of the house to take her dog for a walk, she was wearing it. Then over time, she's come to wear it less and less. She's stubborn on this point and we can argue with her all we want, but in the end, she's just going to not wear it. She lives in a neighborhood with lots of neighbors where everybody knows each other and checks up on each other. She's convinced that if she falls at home, she'll be fine because she's always going to be near her cellphone. It's always in the same room she's in.
What she's agreed to is that when it's dark out and people can't easily see her, and she's out, then she'll wear the device. And if she's off of the beaten path, because there's a forest reserve trail here, she'll wear it. But any time where she feels like she could just call for help, she's not going to wear it. Other than that, I've been really happy with Bay Alarm. The device works well and the service I've gotten from the people I've talked to have been fantastic. It's a reasonably good value and I don't have a ton to compare it against, but I would recommend it. I hope that my mom never falls and never has to rely on it. But it provides a measure of comfort for the rest of the family.

My sister and I wanted peace of mind that my mid80s mother is being looked after even though nobody was there. Elderly people need somebody to watch after them. And if we can't be there, it's nice that we have an option like Bay Alarm Medical. It's a very good idea. However, my mom had a hard time with it. She didn't wanna do it, and she's paranoid about when things happen. She would bump it and Bay Alarm Medical would get ahold of her through her device. I got texts from them, saying that her alarm went off, and I would call her. She would say, “I bumped it and they asked me if I was okay." She got nervous the first couple times that happened, but she's getting used to it.

My husband had a stroke and had a fall. So, we got a medical alert device for protection that if he does have another fall or is needing help, Bay Alarm Medical will be notified and they will call. If there's no response, they will send an ambulance. Having it gives us peace of mind because when he pushed the alarm by accident, they were calling immediately. And they never hung up until they made sure that he was safe. Their team is wonderful and very friendly. Even though the only time the alarm had gone off was by accident, there was no judgment or harsh words from them.

My equilibrium isn't as great as it was in the past. So, I decided to get the device from Bay Alarm Medical. My son decided that he wanted to give it a try, so that was what we did. So far, the alarm goes off when it shouldn't and it doesn't go off when I actually fall. One time, I fell pretty hard on the back cement and was out like a light and purple from the waist down on both legs and ankles. But the device never went off. On the other hand, I could be talking to somebody and while I would be waving my arm, the device would say, "Fall detected." So it's interesting that it detected an arm gesture, but it didn't protect me from falling on the cement and almost putting my head through a glass door. In one respect, it gives me an amount of security because it's got a button on it that I can push and get help with. I wish that the button on it had an actual person at the other end of the line rather than AI, but that's what I'm working with.

I've had medical alert devices for years. My previous one was not too good so I changed to Bay Alarm. However, my experience with Bay Alarm hasn't been great. My previous device told me when the battery was low. It sends me a text. With Bay Alarm, it does not do that. What happens is it just goes dead. It sends me an email, but how many people actually sit and watch their email every five minutes? They should definitely have more voice contact too and be able to warn you when the battery is low. I mentioned it one time and they said they've never done that as far as texting. I just don't understand that because everybody can text. If they can call you, they can text you. I am not good with that.

My father was experiencing late-stage Parkinson's symptoms. He was falling and we signed up with Bay Alarm Medical for his safety and security. When he passed away, I cancelled it and it was one of the most difficult processes that I had to go through. Dealing with them was a waste of time and money. It wasn't advised to us how to set up the account and when I canceled, they wouldn't talk to me because I wasn't my father, even though I was the one that had it all set up. They also wanted a million documents that I didn't have just to cancel the account.
They ended up sending me an email saying they would cancel if I sent all the equipment back by December 10th, that that was the next date to be able to make sure I didn't get charged. So, I spent extra money sending it with tracking to get it there by that date, but then I was charged on December 8th. Apparently, I was given the wrong date and that outstanding payment has not been reversed until now. So I'm not happy with Bay Alarm Medical.

I was with another company and went through three monitors within three months. They stopped working so I started looking. Bay Alarm came in and I signed up with them. My wife travels a lot. Usually, I'm home by myself and I have a balance problem. I fall down and can't get up. If she's gone and I don't have a monitor or something to summon help, I'm in trouble. Having Bay Alarm, if something happens, I know I can get someone to help. I wear my Bay Alarm every day. The only time I don't have it on is when I have to recharge it. It usually lasts two days and a half and I was hoping it would take longer before I recharge.
Once a month, I press the button and call for help to see if they're paying attention. They respond within 10 seconds. When they ask if I need help, I tell them it's my monthly check-in. I'll put it close to the top of my chest. That'll slide off, hit the floor and leave it there. That's fall detection. Then they'll call up asking if I need help. I tell them I'm just checking the fall detection.
We just came back from South Carolina. When we traveled up there, I didn't tell them anything. When I ran the test the first part of December, I asked them to tell me where I was located. There's a GPS locator in there. The rep said Greer, South Carolina. When I asked her to be more specific, she gave my daughter's address which was where I was at. This morning, we came home and I did it again. I asked them where I was located. The rep knew I was back in Florida.

Bay Alarm Medical is the first and only one I've had and I've got the device where I could have it in a necklace. But I've got it like the watch and it keeps slipping down all the time. So far, I bumped it twice and it went off. Then they called and I told them that it was an accident. I apologized and said that at least I knew it was working.
