Robin Leach Unpacks

Theresa of Matteson, IL July 21, 2009

I had an vacation package for 4 which I paid by credit card(Discover) I had up to 18 months do the vacation or I could return it. I bought the package in June of 2005 and returned it in 12 months ( June 4, 2006). The package was in excellent condition. I kept a copy of the letter I wrote and the cover of the pages to verify I bought it.and returned it.My son and I called them twice and they refuse to refund my money. I zeroxed the copy of the contract agreement. Their phone number should be on my 2005 discover card statement.

I cancelled a time share contract on May 24, 2009 with Vacation Village and requested my deposit be refunded. I have made numerous attempts but have received no response from them.I am contacting the Florida Attorney General and other entities to get this resolved.

Theodore of Great Neck, NY July 6, 2009

I received " a free crusevoucher for 2 people for a cruise to the Bahamas. I way planning a possible vacation to either Florida or Las vegas at the time. I was offered a great package or so I thoughtI had guest traveling with me from China,. I was told that I could also use a platinum Getaway voucher for the first two nights in Ft. lauderdale. Because of this in decided to go to Florida. I at the time of booking was told there was no problem booking this Platinum getaway in conjunction with the cruise. I paid for upgrades to the cruise for 5 people and was told to mail in the platinum getaway voucher.

As the wholetrip was dependent on this first leg I called after two weeks and was told thatthey apperantly had lost the paperwork. I faxed the paperwork in again on 5/28/09. and was told there was no problem the room was avaliable and not to cancel the cruse. I called back to make sure they indeed received the paperwork. I was told that it takes about two weeks to process.

I called after three weeks and was told that they couldnot find the paperwork so I re-faxed. it to them. they again said that it takes two weeks to process but they would send me my paperwork before the trip. We leave NY this Friday I called again and am now getting the line that you cannot combine this with the cruise promotion which is not what was told to me when I booked and paid for the cruise. They want to sell me two rooms.

I asked to speak to supervisor and was told that you cannot combine these offers and it crearly states it in the paperwork. I asked him to review the recorded calls to see if his staff is intentionally defrauding people and asked where in the paperwork it states it and he refused to say told me to read it all over. I have nad it doesnot state it anywhere. I than wanted to know my options and inquired about a refund of the cruise and was told no way. I am stuck in this trip to hell with a disreputable carrier. It is sad that even in a bad economy a company like Ramada must resort to these games to fill their room. .

Linda of Sebring, FL June 9, 2009

June 9,2009 (I just found out about this claim, but I have all my paperwork.) I was not told that it was for a time share. I was sent here and there, back and forth - they on the tour and to lunch with one of their representatives and a traveling companion of mine. They would not let me leave - kept going over and getting another person to talk with me.

The last man got really angry with me - saying you come in here any eat our lunch and then want to leave. I told him that THEY invited me, not the other way around. He was extremely rude and sent us yet another place to get tickets to Universal Studio, but I was so sick, tired and upset, I could not go to Universal. I am disabled and have a hard time walking around.

We purchased a package for a cruise and land trip spent 1000 and never received anything but a DVD and a brochure. When I called The Ramada Plaza Resorts I just got the run around and no answers. This company is a joke and a ripoff! I thought Ramada was a respected company.

Ariel of knoxville, TN May 29, 2009

I recieved a call from J. Russell corporate ID #PN2140 stating that because of my good credit I won a vacation and cruise to the Bahamas from Imperial Majesty Cruise and Ramada Plaza resorts. During this time I was serving on active duty in the United States Navy assigned to shipboard duty on the USS Chancellorsville CG-62. All the company told me was that they needed to hold my credit card to book the cruise. I never authorized my credit card to be charged. I never would have bought a cruise in the first place considering i was in the NAVY stationed on a ship!

I was very hesitant but being a newly wed I figured I would suprise my husband with a "free cruise". Constantly Ramada Plaza Resorts and Imperial Majesty Cruise called me trying to SELL me a vacation. I then realized they Charged my card for 823.00! I tried to call and book my cruise and also tried to call and cancel my vacation package and each time i received the run around from mutiple people.

I called and spoke ot a woman named Joan Corporate ID # 4326 requesting a refund on my credit card for a charge I never authorized. Joan was very rude to me and yelled on the phone several times stating that she has proof i authorized that request. When i asked her for the proof she stated that i couldnt hear it because it didnt belong to me. When i asked to speak to her suprivisor she told me that he would not talk to me. I told Joan that i was going to file a lawsuit and sue her company and then she told me he would talk to me.

After being put on hold for at least 15 minutes, Jason (he refused to tell me his last name) Corporate ID # 4490 then also yelled at me and then tried to sell me extension programs to extend my vaction package. All i was asking for was a refund for a vacation i Never purchased. I was scammed by an oral misrepresentation. Then given the run around. I was told i won a free vacation that i had to use within a certain time period and then was charged for it. I am requesting a refund and the "Supervisor Jason" stated that they do refund packages, but they will not refund mine!

Patricia of Omaha, NE May 4, 2009

Dream vacations was taken over by Ramada. confirmations were changed numerous times - saying that we were set up at one place and then when we called back there was no confirmation. once we got there the rooms were dirty - toys left from previous guests under bed, beds had black granules (possible bed bug eggs), the other bed had cool-aid spots or blood spots, crumbs. the coffee pot had old coffee still in it from previous guest. the room seemed semi- cleaned by maids. they did remake the beds when asked however there was not mattress pads for either bed nor were there fitted sheets, this made it uncomfortable for a nights sleep when you ended up sleeping on the mattress it self.

Requested a fridge for medical purpose and never received. When making reservations we were told that one would be available. requested several times for room to be restocked with towels but never happened. pool never had towels available - had to wait 30 minutes one day to receive. whirl pool did not work water was dirty and discolored. Once on our way home we realized that we had forgot 3 swim suits and a swim suit cover - we immediately called back to have them get them returned at our expense but they claimed that there was nothing left in the room. we told them exactly where they were at in the room and they still said there was nothing there. We have called several times requesting to to talk to manager but no one will return call.
