I wanted to match price for Dreft (laundry detergent) with the sale ad from Babies R Us but the manager was not cooperative at all and even insisted that the ad which I was showing was not from this week. I tried to return the detergent and told them that I will buy from Babies R Us. Then the manager said she will make exception this time and matched the price.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I bought L'oreal Excellence hair dye, with the shelf price at 6.97. However, it rings up at 7.97, so the cashier did make the change. But this has been happening for at least 6 months. There were three other items where the shelf price was cheaper than what they rang up. I was fed up and didn't say anything more. Walmart always gets away with ripping consumers off.

First of all, I wanted to write this to the owner of Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is supposed to have low prices. I think that's bull. I have gone to lots of other stores, and buy the same things, for lower prices, which is what Wal-Mart was made for, people who didn't have much money. Sam would be so upset if he knew. What really makes me angry, is how Wal-Mart in Donaldsonville is with their plants. They won't water them like they're supposed to, then when they mark them down, they're dead, or almost dead.
One day, there was a man putting plants, and I asked him what he was doing. He said, "trowing them away". I said, "can I buy some before you do that?" He said no. What the **. Is Wal-Mart that rich, that they can just throw everything away? I have a friend who works in the deli, and the ends of the ham, when they cut it, they have to throw away. I asked her why don't they give it to someone in need. She said Wal-Mart wouldn't even let them have it. All the people in the world is starving, and you'll throw money and food away? Shame on Wal-Mart for forgetting what Wal-Mart stands for.

Items either do not have price listed on the shelf, or as in my case price rings up higher at the register than on shelf tag. I was told by the cashier that I was trying to mislead her on the price and I walked out. I will never step foot in another Wal-Mart.

Walmart located in Gilford. Fresh milk is sold at the front of the store has been priced at $2.48 for a long while. It now ranges from $4.14 upwards to better than $4.50. Hannaford across the street sell fresh milk for $2.48 per gallon. Walmart is ripping off people unless you can justify to me why or what caused the increase in price which is extremely excessive. Don't know what Shaws is selling it for but I think you have lost a customer. Thanks for listening!

Every weekend for as long as Walmart has been on 39th St. in Independence, MO I have taken my mother to buy her vitamins. This last weekend after lugging in all the sales ads of the Sunday paper to get price matches for my mother on her vitamins, I was told they did not or would not price match a sale for buy one and get one free. This was frustrating since I not only had to drag in all the paper to prove these were on sale, because my mother is on a fixed income and whatever she can save helps her to pay her medical bills. Then to be told they would not match them. If this is not your policy then don't advertise it. But if it is I would like to know where the cutoff is if there is any.
Nothing is mentioned in your ads about buying one and getting another free. Since I live in Kearney and my mother lives in Indep she enjoys the trip to your store and I've always liked the one stop shop idea. This was quite upsetting for my mother since she was unable to purchase all she needed there. I was forced to stop at two other stores to get her needs purchased. Everybody needs to be on the same page. This has caused at least two other stores to benefit from the money that was spent to save an elderly woman money. Thanks for nothing!

I went to the Walmart on Austin Highway in San Antonio for the after Christmas sales to stock up on supplies for next year. There were aisles of Christmas products and 50% signs on most shelves. I wanted to purchase some foil trays to give away cookies in. They were directly above a 50% sign. They were red and green. They were in the middle of a Christmas aisle. There was a large display of them, they were not misplaced. At the register, I was informed that these were not on sale because they were not holiday items, they were "regular year round" items. It's blatant and intentional abuse, and employees who know it's wrong are forced to go along with the scam.

I was shopping for a Christmas present for my grandson. I noticed a display with several different motorized ride-on toys that were all marked $145. I asked my daughter who works at the store to go and take a look at them and let me know which one she thought my grandson would like. Later she called me to tell me which one to get. It was a four wheeler. I got my money and went to the store. The associate in lawn and garden loaded the item in my car and went to ring me up. The bike rang up $597. The associate took another look at the sign and called for a price override because they were all clearly marked $145. The first lady who came over refused to do the override and offered me 10% off.
I asked for a manager. The man who came over was very arrogant and treated me like I was trying to rob them. He started scanning the ride-ons and discovered that they were all priced wrong, some high and some low. He then told me that he wasn't going to do anything about the "human error". He was rude and made me feel like I was doing something wrong by asking to pay the price that was advertised. I understand that is a big error, and I understand the store not wanting to honor the price but I feel that they could have offered me something better than 20%. And to be honest, after being treated like a criminal by this arrogant assistant manager, I feel like I deserve to get the bike for what it was priced. I called 1-800-WALMART and filed a complaint. I also told my daughter about my treatment and she had some words with the store manager. I am still waiting to see what the outcome will be.

Store # 2954 650 Main Ave. Norwalk, CT. On 12/01/11, I purchased at Waltmart a pair of pants which clearly displayed with a sale price of $10.96 on the shelf. After I purchased the pants, I checked my receipt and saw that I was charged $12.96 plus tax. I went right to the customer service desk and I asked "Johnny" to accompany me and to verify my complaint that the price on the shelf was indeed $10.95. We went to where I selected the pants and we both saw that the entire shelf was indeed marked $10.95. Both "Johnny" and I agreed that the price was $10.95. We went back to the customer service area where "Johnny" informed the assistant manager "George."
The posted sign directly outside the store clearly states that if the merchandise "commodity" is mispriced your money will be refunded in full. "George" said he spoke to the manager and was told thatt hey would not honor a full refund but would give me the difference. I refused but went back to Walmart two (2) days later and found that they did not change the pricing on the shelf but rather continued to collect what amounts to a 20% increase over the price listed on the shelf. Meanwhile, shopper that don't check there receipts are paying that surcharge and Walmart is profiting from it. That explains why after I complaint they didn't even bother to change the price.

on 12/1/11, I paid for 2 items at the Walmart in Ephrata, PA. The first item was a pair of shoes marked $12.00 regular price, rang up $12.42. The second item was a jar of nuts that was on a display marked $2.98, they rang up $5.98. The nuts were on another display signed at $6.98. I took the receipt to customer service and they fixed the shoes, but would not honor the price listed on the nuts. The man who fixed the price of the shoes was annoyed that I was upset over $0.42 and was very rude.

I put some Christmas gifts on layaway. But before I did, I asked the cashier about the Christmas lowest price guarantee (as seen on TV ads) if this would apply to any of the items being put on layaway. The cashier said yes and it would automatically change if something went on sale. So I proceeded with the layaway. Lo and behold, the price for the sky lander starter kit went on sale Black Friday from $69.986 to $49.96. The next day I was at Wal-Mart and went to layaway to check on getting the difference. I was unable to because I needed to be there on that day and that the product needed to still be in stock in-order to get the difference and that I would also need to take out my layaway.
A few days later, I decided to contact the store manager and got the assistant manager instead. I got the same story all over again, so I asked for Wal-Mart's customer service number. I called the number given to me and the woman I spoke to told me she couldn't do any thing to help and I could contact the market manager for the area I live in. I called number and of course no answer. I am getting the run-around and it's really making a not so good experience into a bad enough experience that I will not spend my hard earned money at Wal-Mart any more. How can they have ads that say lowest price guarantee for the season but can't or won't follow through? False advertising. I would like to get the lowest price guarantee as stated in TV ad.

I read several advertised cyber Monday deals about a wood swing playset for $275 at Wal-Mart included on Wal-Mart's site. However, not only did it never go to $275, but they told me it had sold out at that price. My daughter and I checked every hour starting the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, let alone Sunday or Monday of cyber Monday, and although they said they would have a week of cyber specials, they even raised the regular price of the swing set by $100, this supposedly, special week. I have a screenshot of the Wal-Mart cyber Monday prices for the wood swing set.

At Yelm Wa. Wal-Mart, I have a 42" 1080 HD 3D Vizio TV on layaway which is almost paid off. It cost $648.00, $56.38 Tax and $5.00 for layaway. At my local Costco in Lacey, Wa., it was selling for $569.99 because of the MFG $100.00 Instant Discount from $669.99.
Wal-Mart Professed to not only price match competitors but also on layaway items. It took over 3 hours going through every manager getting the run around stating that they do not price match Costco or Sams Club advertised pricing because it requires a membership card. In the Wal-Mart Rules, it says that they gladly match preferred shopping card prices for specific items that are in a printed ad. I printed out the Costco member price of $569.99, the online purchase price that was $999.99; the King5 TV online advertisement to prove I was right.
No where does it state that they do not price match Costco or Sams and their excuse was that they couldn't put all the company names in the rules as it would be too lengthy. Does that mean there are more companies than Costco and Sams I asked and they said no. I think there may be a reason they do not put this in print nor make their rules more concise. They might be hiding behind Gray Areas for a better bottom line while stepping on those customers who just give in to the Wal-Mart excueses and just go home.

I went to buy the PlayStation 3 Starter Bundle on Wal-Mart which was $229 at 3pm on 11/26. I had to go out and by the time I came back at 6:30, the price had gone up to $263 for the item. Now mind you, it was a lot cheaper on Black Friday and so I was going to pay more buying after that day, but for the price to change again in less than 4 hours. I could see if it changed at midnight, but during the day! That shouldn't be allowed. Gas stations can't change their prices more than once a day, neither should Wal-Mart.

I went to Wal-Mart and buying items and some included 12 bottles of 2 Liter Sprite, and 35-32 ounce bottles of Zero flavored bottled water. Now we took in an ad that was in our Shopping News, as we were finished shopping we went to the check out. The lady looked over the ad and asked the date of these items that were on sale. The Sprite being 69 cents and the Zero being 39 cents each, we showed her the date was yesterday and today's date November 19, 2011. She called an associate over, asked her if she could match the price? The associate said, "no! " Well not only were my husband and I shocked we were embarrassed, because this time of year the store was full of people behind us and watching that something was happening around us. I told them that their ad on TV says they match any price. Now to our surprise the manager, assistant manager said they were instructed they could not match a price ad, only within a 30 minute radius of their store.
So they told us they have it above where the registers are saying some restrictions may apply. We asked to see that, the Manager and Assistant Manager took us over and showed us a hard cover notebook that stated they would only match prices within a 30 minute radius but would not match price with Kwik Trip or Walgreens, which are 2 stores, in a 3 mile radius.
I could understand if they were their own stores but to start making up rules like this, shouldn't the public be aware? And they should have it posted at the doorways when you enter the store, so you don't have to feel foolish at the check out counters. You need to help people understand you really do not match prices!

I had a coupon from Grocery Outlet for $1.00 off Folgers coffee. Grocery Outlet was out of the coffee so while at Wal-Mart, I picked up a can of Folgers coffee which was the same price as Grocery Outlet, $7.99 and with the dollar off it made Grocery Outlet Cheaper. Wal-Mart would not honor the coupon even though they advertise that "if you find it cheaper somewhere else they will match it." That is false advertising.
The cashier did not honor the coupon and informed me that Wal-Mart would not honor any prices form Grocery Outlet, Costco, and a list of other stores, which they do not explain in the advertising. When I asked why she said those stores were discount stores and they were cheaper because they bought their products cheaper, she said, "Like Wal-Mart is not a cheap discount store?" This is one of the reasons I am not a Wal-Mart fan. They are so dishonest and rip the public off so bad. False advertising does not only run in the media but it also happens in the store all the time. The sign on the shelf will say one thing and you will be charged a different price at the check out. By the way, she did not call for a manager when I asked. On a scale from zero to ten? They are a zero.

I am tired of choosing a product marked with one price and the checkout charging another and being charged for two instead of one! My last experience there were 3 different problems, two of which I did not catch! Two were price differences and one I was charged for 2 of the same item of which I only had one. Prices are increasing everywhere including WalMart. Every penny counts and we have to watch ours very closely, this should not happen as often as it does.

I was reading a Walmart paper ad. In the ad was to go from November 9, 2011 to November 15, 2011 and have cans of Libby corn in 4-pack. There were a few people standing at the aisle where the corn was supposed to be, but there was no 4-pack of Libby's. The aisle clerk, after a considerable amount of time looking for someone to help, said, "We don't have the corn in a pack of 4 for the price of $4.00. Just the single cans at $0.75 per can." Is this your normal way of doing business? It was at Walmart store 2114 S. Main Street Wake Forest, NC 27587. I would like compliment you. Thanks, but no thanks. I love Libby's corn but undoubtedly, Walmart does too so they raised the price. Goodbye, wally world.

Wal-Mart refused to match Aldie's price on milk at $1.49 per gallon. How can they guarantee lowest prices in their ads if they can pick and choose which items they will match? Giants like Wal-Mart don't have to abide by the same laws as the rest of us. That's a shame, false advertising.

I'm am so tired of Wal-Mart refusing to comp ad my items, especially when the white woman in front of me will comp ad everything, no questions asked, but when they get to me, I have to have the ad. Why is that? Is it that I look poor? I ended up crying today because the cashier flat out told me, that there was nothing she could do for me. I was told I needed the ad, although, I have never been asked before and Wal-Mart advertises that you don't need the ad. Is there anyone else in Wagoner, Oklahoma that has been refused a comp ad by this Wal-Mart? If so call me, email me, or something! I want to start a class action lawsuit, because this has gone too far. I am so sick of Wal-Mart and their shady practices!

I tried to purchase some of your Chocolate Raspberry [Steep & Brew, Madison, WI] coffee last night (Oct. 31, 2011) at the Walmart Super Center in Monona (2151 Royal Ave Monona, WI 53713). I had to open (unseal) a bag of the Chocolate Raspberry coffee beans and put them in the grinder right next to/under the Steep & Brew store display/section. I then ground the beans into the paper bag provided. I thought I was doing what any other consumer would do, as there was no notice/instructions, otherwise. I then presented both bags to the Walmart cashier; the one with the beans all ground-up in a store-provided paper bag (with your company name on it I believe), and the opened (sealed then unsealed) one for the simple purpose of showing the cashier the kind/make/flavor of beans I chose to purchase and grind, as well as to show the cashier the weight. What I got in return was the cashiers double charging me for both the empty, opened (unsealed) bag and the paper bag with the coffee grounds in it the store provides for consumers to grind the beans into. Does this sound like a normal Walmart experience?
True to form, along came some night manager/supervisor, whatever she is, some Adrianna, all charging in like a bull in a china shop, dictating and ordering me to be quiet while the cashiers, at this point, accuse me of ripping off Walmart, like I'm supposed to be all complacent and docile about it to the point where I can't even request the initial cashier to just simply cancel the coffee purchase. Adrianna cancels my whole, intended grocery purchase, in front of all to see! All the while creating a scene/causing a disturbance because she cant handle having the consumer defend/explain themselves as to what's happening, which the consumer is being ripped-off/double charged, apparently.
This is the second time this Adrianna has interacted this way at this store over the same set of circumstances, different product. Once in September 2011, and again last night. After her initial charging into the crime scene, where she acts like she already knows whats the matter, just before she demands total obedience that if you, the consumer, even try to explain the situation, she creates this disturbing scene in public for all to see where she escalates the situation with total, unreasonable focus on how the consumers speaking, what the consumers saying, and what is the effect on the consumer of the initial ripping-off/double-charging all with this magical waving of her wand into one of how she's feeling threatened, for Gods sake, further putting you, the consumer, into your place by her threatening to call the police on you!
If you happen to tap her on the shoulder to show her monetary evidence of being ripped-off by the cashier(s) (as in Septembers incident), she scowls and scolds you to back off! Last nights version was just to scowl and scold me to back off right away. I was standing across from her over the grocery cart, just like her. How utterly unreasonable. Then she makes snide comments to your fiance who had no problem with her purchase, to the effect that he's not feeling well.
What's the difference between opening your brands sealed bag of coffee beans, grinding them and putting them into the store-provided paper bag, and, again, opening your brands sealed bag of coffee beans, grinding them and putting them back into the same bag, which is what I should've done, yes? I'm sorry, I see no difference. What, would Walmart then have told me I would've had to put the grounds into one of the store-provided paper bags, to double-charge me? The ironic thing about it all? Even Adrianna admitted I was being double-charged, all along! But she lacks total competency and reasonableness to carry the initial mix-up through to consumer satisfaction; and, oh how she absolutely went livid when I said that the customer's always right! In fact, she even retorted to "no they're not."

It is very disappointed that Wal-Mart is not doubling coupons in testing stores in WV. I was a Kroger double coupon shopper until Wal-Mart started doubling and I love Wal-Mart but I guess, as bad as I hate to, I will be forced to go back to Kroger's just for the savings that I can redeem there. I think you really screwed up Wal-Mart in today's economy "a penny earned is a penny saved". Kroger's will be getting my business.

I was at Walmart #1504 with my family doing Christmas shopping. I had already had more than 200.00 dollars worth of items in my cart. We found some power rangers samurai toys labeled for .97$ so we had picked out 8 of them and come to find out they ring up 10.97. We had shown them the labeling error, and they immediately started to pull the toys out of the isles.
In the mean time before then I took a few pictures of the labels with the SKU numbers and then we asked what we were to do with the toys that we already had in the cart. They said they would not offer the price because they weren't taking that big of a loss. Every employee even told the manager it was mislabeled, and that it wasn't right not to offer the posted price. The manager at the time (chrissy) then said call 1-800-Walmart. As she was steadily walking away, we then asked for her name and she yelled across 3 isles and said "chrissy! " Very loudly, embarrassing us in-front of our 4 year old son.
We were then a little upset at the way she handle things. We then asked for her again and she would not come to see us but then sent another manager (dale). Dale said I'll give you one for that price but then you have to leave the store. I exclaimed why because we saw a posted price and your not going to honor it., He said, oh well, that's how it works here. Sorry. As he was walking away we asked to talk to the store manager. He said I'll call him and when he" supposedly" called him, he said sorry were not taking that big of a loss, we then said angrily keep all of your garbage we're done here.
We then grabbed our daughter in her pumpkin seat out of the cart and then two items fell out of the cart onto the floor and for some reason he decided to call the police on us for no reason. He was extremely rude and harassing in the way he kept saying were not going to do it and having people follow us everywhere like we were crooks or something. He nearly cursed at us the whole time and we didn't even go as far as raising our voices to them. We just explained how unfair they were being.
We then called customer service today and all they just offered us a 10.00 dollar gift card and for what for a store we have had the police called on us in for no reason. We were publicly humiliated and harassed. I took video on my droid X of the whole situation, and I am really contemplating turning it over to the local news station to show how Walmart really feels about their customers and how they handle things. They have now lost my business( approx 250.00/Wk) my brothers business(approx75.00-125.00/Wk) my wife' family's business(400+/Wk), and my parents business as well(45-90/Wk).
We all have decided to tell everyone we know about this incident and show them the pictures of the SKU's and the video of the untamed manner of the managers anger and poor managing duties. We all have also decided to even go out of our way to boycott Walmart products in any and all of our homes.
They have lost a maximum potential of 865.00/Wk of net sales from this family and group of friends that will grow daily. This all could have been avoided had they been a little nicer, had some respect and have been a little more descent to the hard working men and women that pay their bills, and honor their mistake and make things right. I didn't care that they removed the skid, but honor what we had already had in our cart. An 80.00 dollar loss on the items they would not honor at the given time cost them 3,460.00/Month and is ever growing as we tell everyone we know. The funny thing about all of this, the csm told us that it was not right of the managers to gang up on us like that and that they were able to write off up to $100.00 before the store manager would even have to be involved, to keep good customer relations.

A friend of mine told me about a deal on Guitar Hero at Toys R Us and about how she got Walmart to price match it. I also spoke to a few of my other friends who purchased the same item for their kids. However, when my husband and I went, they humiliated us in front of our two children. They gave us a hard time. They called the head of theft prevention to deal with us after accusing us of lying about the price of the toy. When we showed them the ad for Toys R Us online, they said it was not valid and told us that we needed an actual ad. They refused to even call Toys R Us to verify that it was true.
After this, we drove all the way across town to get an ad and bring it back. The manager at Toys R Us even gave them her personal number as well as signed it. She, as well as my friends, said that the manager had just simply called Toys R Us for them. When we presented the ad to the lady at Walmart, she still gave us a hard time. Two hours later, we finally received the toy. However, everyone was staring at us like we were criminals and my 2 small children were crying and very upset by this point. My husband is Hispanic and we feel that this was a racial issue. None of my Caucasian friends had any problems with this situation earlier that day.

I went to purchase an item from the clearance section that had 2 stickers on the box with two different prices: $21 and $25. One was on the top of the box and one was on the bottom. One was red (clearance) and the higher amount was a yellow sticker. I asked the cashier about it. She walked away for 5 minutes (people behind me were ready to pummel me) and when she came back she said "there was no manager to ask about this so I would have to pay the higher price. I find it very hard to believe there was no manager in a Wal-Mart at 7:00pm when the store was extremely busy. She was too lazy and wanted me out of her line.

There was a product in the Wal-Mart sales paper that I wanted to buy. The item was the Scrubbing Bubbles One step Toilet Bowl Cleaner and that the sale price was $3.97. When I went to purchase it, they wouldn't let me have it for the price that was in the sale's paper. The sale didn't end until midnight last night. They tried to sell it to me for a higher price and that's false advertisement. The Wal-Mart ad began 10-02-2011 end on 10-08-2011. I feel like I should have gotten the item for the price that was in the paper. Wal-Mart is not honoring its own sales.

My husband went to Walmart in Taylorville, IL to pick up medications that he was giving $43 for. This month, they wanted to charge $108. They said it was due to changing manufacturer. So, he called the other Walmarts in Springfield, IL and it was $43. Also, he started calling CVS's Pharmacy's and theirs was for $33 to $44. The same with other medications, and with CVS wanting $60 or less for some medications

I was wondering why they advertise that they price match competitors' ads. When I went to Walmart, they have quite a few excuses why they would not honor the sales. The first one was that you have to have the paper. When I said the commercials. He said, "No, paper is needed." And I had the paper in my purse and gave it to her. She said that the paper had to have the price of the item if it's BOGO. So, she brought the manager over. She had no name tag or manager tag. I think it was someone that just worked there. I showed the price in the ad. After that, it really started to go downhill. I was so pissed. If I stayed any longer, I would have lost my mind. That is the last time I will ever go to Walmart. I have not been there in many years because of poor quality and customer service. I see not much has changed. It might even be worse. I will keep shopping at Publix and Target. They have friendly service and are always willing to help.

Over the years, I frequently find products with incorrect price tags below them. You have to read the fine print to see if the item is marked correctly. Last night, it was a matter of trash bags. A gorp was marked $7 and it rang up $9 at the register. Never does it unerring. Is this your gimmick to make more money or do you just hire ** to stock your shelves?

On June 21, 2011, I shopped for a patio set at the Franklin Wal-Mart store after work. They only displayed the model left, which had fading and flaws to a chair. I left that store and went to the store located in Nolensville Pike. They refused to honor the sale price at Franklin store. I then purchased the set, and I was told new cushions and the chair would be ordered. A man in claims named Cecil did try to help me, as well as a man named Derrick at the Franklin store.
It is now September 6, 2011, and I have not received all my cushions or chair. I am a single mother with three children. Recently, I had a major surgery, which is why when the chair came in, I told them that I could not lift it. Then the store sold it and my cushions. I am a frequent Wal-Mart shopper. I am extremely upset; $398.00 is a lot of money, and no one wants to make my purchase right.

Gouging prices much higher, the manager was extremely rude, overstaffed workers do not know what they were doing. When asked a question, they say ask the next person. There is no help when you need it. Rumor is that main help is a cocaine addict, which explains the overpricing compared to Walmart in Palmer, MA.

I went to Walmart to purchase a carpet cleaner. Their price was $249.99. I asked them to match Kmart's price of $199.99. The clerk called a CSM representative to get authorization. After about five minutes, the CSM showed up and said that she would have to get permission from a manager. After about 10 more minutes, she came back and said that she was still waiting for a manager and left again. After 10 more minutes, she came back and said that the manager requested that I return with Kmart's add.
At this point, I was so disgusted with the service that I told them to forget it. I left the item plus a basket full of merchandise that I had intended to purchase and went to Kmart. The next morning, I called Walmart customer service in Bentonville. I was kept on hold for about 20 minutes and then hung up on. I called back and was kept on hold for about 15 minutes. When someone answered, I voiced my complaint and was told that it would be looked into. The whole experience was disgusting to say the least and I felt bad for all the people in line behind me that were held up. Walmart's TV commercial has a customer asking Walmart to match a competitor's price. She was saying that she did not have the competitor's add, to which the Walmart clerk says, "It is okay."

I went to Walmart before work this morning, with my Kroger Company ad shopping list. I was in line for 40 minutes with at least 3-4 customer service manager. I was trying to decipher and make a decision about which products I could and could not comp. It seems like I just watched a commercial on TV this week. It said that you didn't even have to have an ad to comp anymore. Walmart always says they have changed their policies etc. It was ridiculous. Please stop the madness. Either do what you say you will do, or don't make up rules as you go. Stop this all together, or make it easy for us moms trying to save a little for their families.

For several months now, the Van Buren Walmart refuses to honor the price match guarantee. They said that they do not have to go by the corporate coupon policy because they do not think it should be allowed. When told that we have the printed policy, they do not want to see it. They have treated myself and my husband as common criminals for just trying to use coupons.
We had to pay the full price for the items that Walmart guarantees to match. We had to bear the embarrassment of being told 'no' at the register and being treated as if we are attempting to cheat them. We are simply going by Walmart's coupon and price match policy that is listed on the corporate website.

Over two years ago, I had a situation with a Walmart store manager by the name of Paul **. On July 3, 2009, due to the holiday, I went to Walmart to see if they had some sales going on. I was in the market to buy a bike to ride to work. So, I went in to see if they had some on sale. I went to the bike section. I realized that they had a bike priced at $129.00 that I was interested in. I went to find a person that could help me. I did. I asked the associate why was this bike priced lower than the other bike that was the same model. They couldn't give me the answer, so they went looking for someone that could give the answer. While they went looking, I started looking over the bike. I found a few things wrong with it that would have made them price it at that price. And they were fixable.
When they got back, I just told them that I wanted to buy the bike. I asked if she could help me take it to the front. In the front of the store, to the cash register, we went to buy the bike. One of the front end head cashiers did not approve me to buy the bike because it was priced wrong. So, I asked to speak to the store manager. A few long minutes passed and the manager came out and greeted me with a hand shake. The manager quoted, "Being that this is the right thing to do, I'm going to sell you the bike for the price that is on the bike." The manager said it's an early Christmas present. I said thanks.
I told them that I had a few other things to get. So, I asked if I could keep the bike up front to get them. He said yes. By the time I shopped for the other things I needed to get, I was about to check out at the register. The manager came out and said that they could not sell me the bike for the price that was on the bike and he had agreed to sell it for. It was due to the fact that he had me on camera changing the price tag. I asked him to show it to me. He refused to show it to me. I filed a complaint with Walmart's main office. They did nothing.
A couple of years gone by and I had been waiting to see the manager to ask him for an apology. On 8/28/2011, I've seen the manager Paul. I greeted him with respect. I helped him remember about what happened on that day, because it bothers me day to day knowing that he got away without doing the right thing. He remembered. So, I asked him for an apology. He insisted on not doing so. I said to him that the reason why he is not going to apologize is that he was a **, knowing that he knows deep down inside that he did me extremely wrong. I walked off because I had some shopping to do with my family. He gathered up all of his male associates to kick me and my family out the store like we really did something wrong. This manner needs to be handled in a different manor now that he is harassing my wife and kids, that they had to leave. In my eyes, I stood up to him this time and gave him a piece of my mind. He and his people kicked us out.

The price online is $6.00 less than in store. What's the deal with that? And you won't price match your own place! I spend thousands a year at Walmart, and every time I go there, something always gives me a bad experience. I always tell myself why do I continue to go. The store manager walks around, always with a dirty look on his face and never says one word to you. You go to Lowe's and every single employee says hello. Maybe you should send your teams to one of their meetings!

I bought 24 packs of bud light that had two different coupons--one for $2 off meat purchase and $2 off purchase Doritos. I fulfilled both requirements and at checkout was told I could only use one.
I feel this is an error because both coupons were on same package. I also feel Walmart is always changing things so they do not have to match pricing and not carrying enough variety.

I tried to purchase a Bissell Powerforce Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner model # 71Y7W. Online price for $39.92 and in-store price for $46.92. After stating to the store representative that I would like the merchandise for the $39.92 and related to her it was on the site for that price which she could see the price in writing via computer, she goes on to explain in a 10-minute speaks about different prices, cost of shipping, etc. Well, Walmart is well noted in price matching but as I left the store without the merchandise, I stated to her I guess that is false advertisement. As a loyal customer, Walmart you really need to stick to your motto. A very dissatisfied customer!

On July 22nd, I visited Walmart on South Ruthford in Murfreesboro, TN. I bought a comforter and the price marked on the shelf was $46.98. When I got home, the receipt had $78.98. I went back to the store on July 23rd and discussed this with customer service. They investigated it and also noticed the price difference. The comforter was in the wrong place, so they removed the bar codes. I spoke with the manager on that day. Nothing was done except for the removal of the wrong tags.
I called the customer complaint line on July 23rd and again on July 28th, because I had never received a response. I was told that day that someone had tried to call but no one answered. This is my cell phone and I had no missed calls. I finally heard from someone from the store on July 31st. He informed me he would be sending me a gift card. Well, today is August 20th and I still have not received it. I work daily with the public for I am a nurse. If I promised you your medicine, would you like to wait 20 days? This is ridiculous! I will never go back to that Walmart. And I will consider not going back to any other one. I hope this is not the way the company treats all of its customers.

Walmart's advertisement says they will match other stores prices. When we get to the pay at the cashier, they say the corporate office changed policy - it has to be the same brand of eggs! Well, your advertisement does not say that on TV or on the TV ads in the store! You will not stand by your ads. You should be sued under the "Deceptive Trade Act" because that is what Walmart is doing - deceiving the public!

I went to Wal-Mart looking to spend my hard-earned money on a bicycle for me and my girlfriend and also two seats for the bikes. We found two bikes that we really liked and were at a really really great price, which was $99.97. I thought, wow this is cool--two bikes and seats perfect, we don't have to shop anymore. Let's check out.
So we took the bikes down and took them to the front and the cashier scanned the bike and it came up 140 with tax, making it around 160$. I said wait a second, it said 99.97 back there. There must be some mistake and so one of the cashiers/helper went back to check the bike rack and I guess asked a manager what to do. He came back stating that whatever it rings up, it is what we have to pay.
I walked out in this case. I actually had firsthand experience when they should have given the bikes to me for what the price on the rack stated. It's like buying apple juice for $2 for a big bottle, so I got two and they rang up $4 for it. Granted it was apple juice and not a hundred dollar but I think the same principle applies
I hate cattleman Wal-Mart. I literally have a problem every time I go in there. It is just my luck it's the closest one near me so I either drive there and get ** or drive 15 miles and get **.

Match it. Match it. Match it! That is all I hear on the Wal-Mart commercials. However, the first time I try the match it, the cashier, backed up by someone claiming to be afternoon manager, refused to honor their match it policy.
Let me explain. Staples had folders for $0.01 each advertised as a back to school special. The Wal-Marts in Columbus honoring the match it policy were allowing teachers to buy folders in bulk, that means 400-600 folders for $4.00-$6.00. I went in with my copy of the ad, counted out 600 folders or 2 for each student in my school. Checked out my order and paid for it. Then tried to check out the folders. The clerk was extremely rude, "I am not ringing all of those out, that would take me forever." Then, said "we do not honor Staples ads because they are not our competition". Then she went and got someone, who I believe posed as a manager, but was actually another clerk and her friend, who came and told me, in a loud and rude way, that they do not honor any ad within 40-50 miles.
I explained that it does not say that on the TV commercial. I also pointed out that Staples is less than 40 miles away. When I got home, I Googled the distance and there are actually three Staples 25 - 26 miles away and a couple more Staples 35 miles away. The so called manager, got really rude and told me that I was blocking the line, and said that the other customers were going to get mad at me. She then grabbed my cart, with my folders, and my already paid for bag of 4 packages of 6 juice juice drinks, and stormed away. I lost my drinks and did not get my folders. I never raised my voice or used any sort of foul language. I have been a large customer of Wal-Mart for years, including purchasing many supplies for the entire school as I am the principal, groceries and department store needs for my family, auto services, pharmacy and hair salon. I must admit that I was taken back by their mean attitude, personal attack and lack of professionalism. I believe at the very least Wal-Mart needs to make sure that their employees are consistent in the way they enforce their policies and how to treat their customers. Please realize that I have never complained about poor service, ever, at Wal-Mart or any where else. I decided to wait a week and see if I was still so upset about this before registering a complaint. However, I find that even after one week, I think it necessary to bring it to the attention of the appropriate people.
Note: I rated the overall experience as a 1 star because zero is not one of the available choices. However, 1 star is way too high so I think zero needs to be made available.

I bought one item and used a $2.00 off coupon, lo and behold, when I looked at my receipt I saw that they charged me sales tax for the full amount instead of the discounted amount.

Walmart online ad listed a 60" Sharp Television for $449. This was clearly an error, and it was supposed to be the 40" Sharp television at that price. My understanding in NY is that the price listed in store or online, if incorrect, must be given to the consumer if the consumer asks. Walmart representatives would not give me the 60" Sharp TV, would not give me a discount, and essentially told me there was nothing that could be done at all, despite the fact that it was their "error". BOOO Walmart. They could have at least given me a 20% discount for the 30 minutes I was on the phone with them. It was their mistake. The kicker was when they stated that "customer service is very important to them" - which I told them was complete bull**it because my situation was customer service 101. BOOO Walmart. I don't think I will be shopping there again anytime soon.

The worst store in my opinion; I have shopped at Wal-Mart since they opened back in the late 80's. I will never shop there again. My last experience with them ended our relationship. I bought the Acer notebook on a Saturday for $248.00. Then low and behold, it is on Sundays advertisements for $198.00. I went back to Wal-Mart, and I had just brought the receipt. No, it is the same Acer, but has a totally different SKU number as they ordered this Acer in Massachusetts for this Sale! In Massachusetts, they got one Acer for this Sale!
So, I purchased yet another Acer; brought the one I bought the day before for $248.00, the one on sale was $198.00. After getting it home, it worked horribly. So yesterday, I took it back and was told that it was the only Acer notebook they got for this huge sale. False advertising! Bad customer service! I am done with Wal-Mart.

went to walmart this am on 7-14-11 got two rolls of yarn at 2.58 so i thought. well i went to the do it yourself register, and ran it up and it came to be 9.00 and some change, well i did not have that much,so a young lady came to cancel the order, she was mad, not in a very good mood,i told her i ony wanted one roll. well i am wondering why it came up 9.00 ,went to my car looking at the reciept.it said total 2.77,so i said i have enought to get the other,so i went back to get the other one ,got to the register and it rang up 7.00 come to find out,the rolls of yarn was in the wrong spot a 2.58 spot.
there was 5 of them there.as i was leaving the store, and saw an out side tent 49.99 on one side and 97.00 on the other side of the sign,i told my husband about the 49.00 price.he said check and make sure, ask a sale lady she scan the price and said the 97.00 price was right.they did not take the 49.99 sign down.i told her that was the second time that happen to me in the store this morning items with wrong amounts on items.this is not right, not fair to the customers.,it should be if ts in the wrong spot,it should be sold for that price,or the people you having working should be more careful on stocking.i was really upset by this, not really the miss placing of the items, more on the moods of the people and their attiude not caring how or what you feel, just ok,what ever attiude.
i feel like i needed to share this.thank you

On 5-14-2011, after research and hunting, I found that this particular Walmart had an MP3 player in stock. The online price was $39.54-39.88. So I called the store and verified that they had one in stock and headed to the store. When my daughter came out of store with product, the receipt showed that the price was $59.86. So when I called the manager on duty and asked why the price was so much different than online, I was told that it was not Walmart policy to match their own online prices. They will match everyone's prices but their own. This makes no sense to me and I will not give Walmart another dime due to this.

I went in looking for pants for work. When I found the ones that I wanted, the advertised price was $12. When the cashier rung me up, they came up at $18. I told her, "The sign is right over there, you can see that it says $12 from here." She said that she can't change it and has to charge me for the price it rang up. I know that this is not true for this happens many times at Walmart and they always go ahead and change it. Well, I told her that she needed to do something to fix it since the entire rack of pants is being advertised at $12. So, she flipped her register light so that it would be blinking so that someone would come help her.
I waited there for 10 minutes and no one came. There is no way for their cashiers to contact their managers when they need assistance, other than a blinking light in a large store. So, she said, "Let me go find someone since no one seems to be coming." I watched her walk to the customer service center instead of finding a manager and watched her walk back not five seconds later and all she said to me was, "Sorry, ma'am. We have to charge you for the price it's ringing up as." At that point, I turned and left. It is not right that not just 1 person, but 2 or more said that they will not change the price to the advertised price. They are falsely advertising prices and then refusing to fix them for the customers.

Well, I saw a toy called leap frog. The price on it was $12 and I went to check out and they ran it up and the price was $44. The manager suppose to let me had it for the price that was on it .She said, "I'll take $4 off." I told her I didn't want it.

I went to Walmart at 11pm Thursday night. Then I was going to go back at 5 am for the electronic sale but had noticed they were letting people start standing in line for the electronics at 12:01 am. That was wrong. If I would have returned or even decided to go at 4 am, everything would have been gone! Then on Saturday I went back to get the Xbox 360 with kinects only to find out that they only had 4 to sell! I was 3rd in line when a gentleman got in front of me, so I figured ok they have four. Well the first people got two! So needless to say I did not get anything that my kids wanted for Christmas and can not afford to pay full price for these things as I am a single mom on one income!

I had purchased the product CO Q-10 for less money. Now, the company has gone up to much on the price. The product called CO Q-10 by Spring Valley was being sold at Wal-Mart Stores for around $6.50 for 30 softgels in the 100 mg form. Now, that same product is being sold at around $11.00. For now, I purchased two 50 mg bottles with 30 softgels for $3.42 which cost around the price I use to pay for one bottle of the 100 mg.

Today, my husband, son and I were shopping in Wal-mart like we normally do and came across a really good deal for a 5 piece child's playground that was listed for $29.99. With only 4 left, we took one and proceeded to cash out. Upon scanning, it showed a price of $99.99 so we told right away the cashier that it has to be wrong. So my husband went to double check. There were no other price tags on the shelf other than the $29.99. So the cashier called someone to help, and I went with him to show him where I found the item and the pricing. He then recognized that I didn't make a mistake. He asked the department boy why the pricing was labeled that way meanwhile, the actual item that is $29.99 was not even on the shelf. But there was a child's wagon and basketball Playskool net that are also on the shelf all displaying for $29.99. The department boy had no clue as to why it was priced that way.
So they called the co-manager and she realized that the pricing is wrong for all the items on the shelf and she proceeded to take them down. She then told me that she cannot give me the item for the price that I saw because it is really $99.99. I obviously am going to try to fight for it because it was not my fault that the pricing was wrong and I had promised my 3 year old we would get it for him. He was heart broken when we had to put it back because all Wal-mart could do was give me 10% discount off the $99.99$ item but then, we had $30 on our minds.
So after wasting about 20 mins to settle it, we decided that we just don't have $90 to spend on a playground that probably wouldn't be used till next summer. I would've even bought it for half off just because my little boy wanted it so badly. But we had to put it back and settle with my little boy screaming his head off until he fell asleep. Then he wakes up saying, "But I've been a good boy", which is really heart breaking because he behaved the whole time there and we told him if he was good, we would buy it for him so he did just that.
And to make us take it away from him at cash out and ready to go home with it, he just lost it. Now, all he knows is that mommy and daddy took it away and he doesn't understand why. So there's nothing we can really do. We went home. I have to say that Wal-mart this time really disappointed us and left us unsatisfied. If there is any thing you could do please contact us. My son is obviously very upset about the whole thing that I have to come home and waste more time on this.

The Walmart bakery had the best oatmeal 7 raisin cookies in Austin. 12 for $3.00. Then suddenly they're 10 for $3.00 and so hard. I don't know anybody who can eat them. Maddening for those with few or no teeth to lose your favorite snack! Terrible!

I purchased four pillows that were on sale for $3.50 each and two on sale for $8.00 each on 8-15-10 at the East York Store located at 2801 E Market St Bldg B, York, PA 17402, Phone number 717-755-1600. I also purchased two pair of shorts that day and needed to return one pair for a refund. When I was looking over my receipts for the shorts, I realized that I was over charged for the pillows I purchased the same day. I live in Dover, PA. I rarely shop at the Wal-Mart in East York, maybe once or twice a year. I rarely go to the East York area as it's too far to travel and way too much traffic. I live within a few miles of the West Manchester store location.
On 8-30-10, on a visit to the West Manchester Store to return the shorts, I showed them my receipt and asked for a refund for the difference on the pillows' overcharge. I was told it's been too long to refund the difference. I finished the process of returning the shorts and decided to find a manager. The person who said they could help me I'm sure was not a manager, however, I decided to explain the situation to her. As I was looking for my receipt, she seemed annoyed at the amount of time it was taking me. Finally when I found it (only a minute or two) she said, "This is not our store, you need to take it to the East York Store for a refund."
I first problem with that is that they had just refunded my money for a pair of shorts I didn't purchase at their store location. Why couldn't they refund the overcharge? I was given two separate reasons as to why I couldn't be refunded the overcharge and neither is a legitimate reason. The second problem is that if I need to check every receipt to make sure I have not been overcharged. I will not shop at Wal-Mart any longer! I wonder how many pillows were sold at the wrong price and how much money Wal-Mart profited from customers like me who don't normally check every receipt. What a way to make a buck!

I had 9 items in my cart. I went to check out, the first 4 rang up wrong. I told the checkout girl this and she asked if I wanted a price check. Since the difference was only a couple of dollars overall and I was in a hurry, I said no, I just wanted her to know. The next 4 items rang up correctly, but the last did not, and it was being sold at the register. I told her it was incorrect and at that point I decided they were just playing on people's stupidity.

I always buy the grilled chicken strips for my dog and the price on the shelf is four(4) dollars, but when I check out I am charged $4.25. My wife and I spoke with Charlie, the assistant manager, and he said that if they rang up the wrong price again to tell him. I don't see that it is the customer's place to make sure the the price on the shelf is the same that the cashier rings up. We buy at least 6 to 8 bags of treats a month, this can mount up after a while.
This is not the first time that I have complained to the people in this store about the wrong price on items. Also, I have asked this store why they don't get in the drinks in the small cans or the large ones and I was told that this was a small store and they didn't get the items a large one would.

I've been hearing many stories about their electronics and other items. People don't realize that Wal-mart drives a very hard bargain with suppliers and manufactures so they can sell things at a very low cost. They say guaranteed for a year; well, that's about all you'll get, maybe 13 months. People don't realize from the manufacturer to the shipper and employees of Wal-mart and bottom line is for profit at Wal-mart. Everybody takes a piece of that purchase price the consumer pays and what happens is "quality suffers". People throw caution to the four winds have to go and get one of those "deals".
I think a few government agencies need to deal with Wal-Mart and their practices. In reading consumer's comments, it seems that Wal-mart puts the monkey on the manufacturer's back and they in turn say it's out of warranty but we will sell you the part for an ungodly amount. Maybe, just maybe, people need to boycott them en masse. Also Wal-mart needs to offer double the manufacturer warranty and offer to sell insurance for 2, 3, or 5 years to fix all or anything on these TV's. Then we'll see what kind of a deal on these sets. I will not buy electronics from a place that sells everything from Apples to Zip drives. Would you buy your car from the guy who's selling fruits and vegetable?

My wife and I entered the Wal-Mart store in Rushville to purchase some paint for use in a room we are working on. While waiting for the paint to be shaken, we were looking around for other rooms and found four areas of paint marked half price. Three of these areas were one gallon cans and one was five gallon buckets. I ask the clerk who got a manager to address the question. An older lady came out and stated it was mismarked and I could have one gallon at the price but no more. Our rooms are 18X16 with 13 feet ceilings, which I explained one gallon would do us no good. I could have used at least 6 gallon and was glad to find a color of our liking at a good price. It was more her attitude than the company policy she spewed that offended us.
She was busy in the back or elsewhere as it took some time for her to appear and had no time for discussion with us. I was told by an employee they were short-handed and have a lot of problems, but that is not our fault as we were looking at prices in good faith. I was under the impression that the price on the shelf was the price we would be charged. This is not the case at Wal-Mart in Rushville and it has left a bad feeling towards the store.
Several days ago, we had to go to Shelbyville to get joint compound as our local Wal-Mart store was out of stock. More often than not, we have to go out-of-town for supplies as locally they are out of stock or no one to help out. At present, I am very upset with Wal-Mart and its policy as I have had many occasions thru the years where a company would honor the shelf price. It's time-consuming and disgusting to not have a store worthy of doing business with and having to go out-of-town most times to get supplies. If this is not an appropriate place for this, accept my apology.

I have just returned, frustrated and empty handed from your Bristol store after being led there by faulty price labeling. My daughter called me at my home, from the Garden department in the Walmart store, to inform me that there was knitting yarn on 3 clearance shelves in the Garden department. There were only 2 red price labels pasted on the shelves. One red label said $2.00 and another red shelf label stated $4.00 or $4.50 adjacent to that. A third shelf had no pricing label at all. No other price indicators were present on the shelves or the skeins I selected. I drove all the way over to the store (approximately 30 minutes) because I was interested in the yarns on the $2.00 shelf and the ones on the shelf beneath which had no price labels.
The sales clerks conferred and thought theses yarn were $2.00 also. However, when the cashier attempted to ring up my selection of 28 skeins from both of these shelves, none of the 28 skeins of various types and colors (which I had spent considerable amount of time selecting) from the $2.00 shelf and the shelf beneath it were $2.00. (or $4.50 for that matter)The prices that rang up on the register were varying $3.00 or more for each skein. (Perhaps a discount from the original prices? )The cashier called a service manager who agreed that there should have been a pricing label to indicate the prices of the yarns which I had selected and that, she was sorry for my inconvenience. The best she could do was offer a 10% discount.
I thought I was making a $56.00 advance winter knitting projects purchase. Why should I purchase that many skeins for such a small discount? I can purchase the yarns as I need them when I knit my projects for my grandchildren at similar or better prices, and would never have made the trip wasting my gas for such a meager saving. At the very least, there should have been original pricing labels so I could determine if indeed the cashier prices were discounts at all. This whole experience has left me with a distrust of your sales practices and a reluctance to visit WalMart again.

I went into Walmart and the tag on the watermelon box said, "Unbeatable $5.87". I went to Safeway and they are selling the same product for $2.99. How can a major business get away with such false advertisement? Plenty older folks who shop at Walmart get suckered in.

For the past six weeks I have been buying Fancy Feast cat food for $.30 a can at this Walmart Store. Last week I went to purchase same and found it to be $.45 a can. Please tell me how this price increase of 50% conforms to your "Roll Back" promise.

i found a product in a 10 dollar display in the electronics display too two items and went to pay. the items came up 5 dollars more expensive. when i told the employee they called the manager and he would only allow one of the items to be sold at the listed price, as there was no pricetag on the item. when i refused to accept that i called corprate and filed a coplaint. there was no co-manager on duty just 3 assistant managers. 90minutes later they gave me the items at the listed price.
i have documented it with a photo. when i was going to the register to check out the one asst manager said they would not give me any more mispriced items at the listed price anymore and was very threatening about it. when the manger checked there wasnt one item in the display for 10 dollars and he promptly took the pricetag away and removed the items that i was intending to buy that were left in stock...the entire stock oof these items were in that display

went into walmart to buy a home drug kit seen 3 differnt kinds.so i bought te one that had 4 differnt(kits) in it but when i got to my car i read it again and it said test for four differnt kinds of drugs i thought it was for tests i could use i was only testing for one drug so not even five min later i went back into the store to get the one that only test one it was 12.99 the one i bought was 20.00 so when i want to the counter she told me she could not take it back even tho it was only five min i had the recipt it was not open and she could not even exchange it. i said why not she said it has to do with body fuild i said but its not open she said it does not mater so i said where is it written that you can not take it back? she said its the fda. so i said then why do you take back food?
so she called a manger and then told him what to say.then called another manger so to make a long story short she told me that you do not take bake breast pumps and a whole list of things but if they posted everything that you didnt take back the board that show what you dont return would be full so needless to say i got stuck spending 20.00 when i really only need to spend 12.but i would be carefully of things i buy form walmart not because they can refuse to take back things even if there is no sign posted.

Shelf price for Wesson Vegtable Oil was $2.58 and was charged $3.28 and I brought it their attention and was told to go to Customer Service for a refund. I was only giving the difference in price, not the $3.00 dollars as per the class action law suit. I bought 2 bottles of oil and was given back $1.40. After waiting in a very long line with one clerk.

Wife went to the Wal Mart Market at 21st St. & Yale in Tulsa OK and went to check out and had a case of coke that the local Cable Company was advertising 1 case of cokes for a rollback of $5.00. The cashier said that she could not honor the ad rollback price. She called the Manager of to the checkout and the Manager said that Oklahoma Wal Mart Stores do not honor the roll back prices. We consider this false advertisement and she left her shopping items at the cashier checkout and left the store. It's really ashamed because we use the Wal Mart Markets regularly until now. Poor community and customer relationship and I would assume false advertisement.

Sunday, May 30,2010, My daughter Emily and I went to the Walmart located on Hwy 21 in Monroeville. Emily wanted to buy a TV using some money she had recieved from her HS graduation. We found the TV she wanted and went to the counter in the electronics department. Their was only one person at the counter working so we stood there and waited foir about 15 minutes. I saw another WalMart employee and asked her if we had to check out in electronics or could we go to the front of the store. She said we could go to the front and check out if would like to. We get to the front and and the TV rings up the wrong price. It is marked on the box where the bar code is $268.00. It was marked on the shelf $268.00 It had a tag on the display TV in electronics for $268.00.
You would think the TV is for $268.00 but it rings up $288.00. I tell the cashier it rang up the wrong price and she calls the asst. customer service manager to the register. She looks at the box where the price is and tells me that WalMart policy is to give it to me for $3.00 off. Not the price marked in 3 different places but $3.00 off the $288.00 which is not the right price. I then proceeded to go to the electronics dept. and get the tag off the display TV and the tag off the shelf. (They just slide out of the plastic holders I didn't mess anything up.)There's a lady removing the tag from a TV that is located next to the TV that Emily picked out. I took the tag out of the holder and she looked at me and said," You won't get it for the $268.00 if that's what you think."
So apparently they called her and told her tp take the tags off before I got there she just took the wrong one off the wropng display TV. So I then proceed to the front of the store with my tags in hand and the Asst CS manager asks me what that's gonna change and I told her that I wanted her to see that it was clearly marked in 3 places $268.00 not anywhere was it marked $288.00. She said,"It don't matter what it ring up is the right price at WalMart. Be glad we gonna let you have it for $3.00 off the $288.00."
WWWWHHHHAAATTT!!!!!!! I've had just about enough so I ask to see her boss. He comes to the register and looks at the TV and looks at the tags and looks at what the register has for the price. He asks me if I want the TV and I tell him only for the price marked. He then says OK and voids it out and re-rings it for the correct price. This kind of thing happens all the time at this WalMart. I have never bought more than three items where at least one of the items does not ring up the correct price.I have pointed this out on numerous occasions at the customer service desk when I go to get my money back.If WalMart overcharges every customer $.25 or more per visit they are making a killing and most people just don't want to through the trouble of making things right. If I had not stood my ground I would have been cheated by $20.00, $17.00 if I had allowed WalMart to do the right thing.

I wanted to puchase a pound of imported ham. The associate started slicing the ham and finished the block of ham that he was using and went back into the cooler to see if there was anymore and there wasn't, so he took out another brand of the imported ham and finised slicing the pound of meat. He then charged me the higher price of imported ham instead of charging the price of the original ham. I feel that I should have had the price of the original ham that I asked for not the more expensive ham!!!!!!!

While shopping at Wal-Mart I passed a clearance table outside the electronics dept. The table had both T.V.'s and cameras. I looked through the camera's and found a floor model that was marked down to $9.00, reg $149.00... I made sure to check both the description and the serial number both matched. When I went to check out the cashier told me that it was labeled wrong at that it was in fact $79.00. The assistant manager Sydney informed me that the 7 had been cut off. However the other numbers and information was perfectly intact and there was no room for a # to be removed.
They agreed that the serial number and description matched the product but refused to honor the price as marked on the package. As I was standing there another employee asked how much she could get it for and the manager replied $29.00. Well this just ticked me off but all I did was ask to see the package to take photos of it. It clearly states the price and discount price. I got home and called 1-800-Wal-Mart and was told that it was up to the store manager and I should here back in a couple of business days.

There are three Walmarts in close proximity to my home. Two are in Morgantown, one is in Fairmont, WV. Three times within the past month, I have been overcharged at the checkout. It is becoming a really bad habit it seems, and who knows how much I may have missed? Or how much everyone else may have missed? I was over charged by $10.00 on two items today alone! I thought my job was "consumer," not scanner checker/corrector!

Well, I shop here all the time, but my order came out wrong. My bill added up everything on a calculator and added taxes, but I was charged $200.00 more than it should have been. I argued, but they would not go over my receipt, so what could I do? I am on disability and could not pay my rent due to their error.

We walked in to the store and there was Avadart for $15.98. Then we get to the register and they say, "Oh no, we go by the register." Well, why is it advertised as one price and sold for another? It happens all the time and it is false advertising again.

We shopped at Wal-Mart [Dufferin 3106] in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 22April2010. "Oatmeal to Go" - "Maple and Brown Sugar flavor" - Oatmeal-Bars was marked on the shelf as "OTG M B S " for $2. It scanned for $2.64. The "Customer Service" center cashier with a name-tag "Emily" refused to honor the posted scanning-code-of-practice price-accuracy-guarantee.
According to the posted "scanning-code-of-practice price-accuracy-guarantee" at each cash-register, the customer gets the first item free, if the item scans for a price higher than the shelf-marked price. Instead, she started harassing us and arguing, and refused to get the store-manager as per our request to her.
Then came another "customer service manager" [with a name-tag Jennifer]. But no requested store-manager [in spite of our repeated requests]. We were not permitted to get a photocopy of the incorrectly marked shelf-price-sticker. Obviously, it is evident that [at least in this case] Wal-Mart is misleading consumers about the price and over-charging the public.

They advertised Coke and Pepsi products for $5.00 per 24 pack on the local TV channel, and channel 5. When I got there, it was $6.97. I asked about the TV ad and they said that was not for Wisconsin. This was the second trip I made because I didn't know it was just for Thursday until I came home on Wednesday and made sure I had seen it right. If it wasn't for Wisconsin, then they shouldn't be on a Wisconsin ad. I made 2 trips for nothing and wasted my time and gas money.

Every time I shop at Walmart, their prices ring up for more than the price on the shelf. What a pain, the ole bait and switch! If you notice it before you get home, you have to go get your money back at the service counter. You can go back days later and the same thing will happen with the same item. They are ripping us off ! Today I bought just 4 food items and two of them I was overcharged for. If they steal a few bucks from every customer, they are making a lot of money! Watch all rollback items, it's more like roll your bank items!

I have repeatedly been overcharged by this store. Items are frequently not ticketed, ticketed with different prices for same item and rung up at higher prices at checkout than the ticket price on the shelf. In just one visit today, I was overcharged for three items. I spoke to the manager months ago and he excused it because the store was switching to new equipment. That was months ago and every visit, I catch several overcharges. This is the policy of the store, plain and simple. Just imagine how many overcharges there are in one day and how much that adds up to for Walmart. I usually watch closely as prices are rung up, but I'm sure I have missed some from time to time. I have no idea how much I have been overcharged over time. Sometimes I just leave knowing I've been ripped off because I don't have the time to follow up, but then that is what Walmart is counting on.

WalMart has on their shelf a bottle of Ali Weight Loss Pills Starter Kit 60 pills for $37.00. Right next to it is an Ali Weight Loss Pills Starter Kit with the manufacturers sticker on the box advertising 50% more free pills for a total of 90 pills. But Walmart is charging $47.00 for this bottle. In other words, Walmart is charging customers $10 for the additional 30 pills that are advertised as free. When I asked the manager, I got the typical Walmart response "we can't do anything about the pricing." Unbelievable.

My husband and I went to buy a phone from your store. We told them that Canadian Tire had the phone cheaper. They did not believe us and they were very rude about it. We spent a lot of money in your store but I am not very happy right now.

Three of the four produce items were not marked down as per their weekly flyer. As a result, they were rung up at the regular prices. The cashier did not know how to correct the problem so we had to check out with another cashier.

I live in Naples, Florida. We are home to five (5) Walmart stores within 8-10 miles of each other. My wife purchased bags of birdseed for $8.90 at one of these stores. While I was shopping at one of the other nearby stores, the exact same product was $13.97. Well after hearing on the radio advertisement of Walmart on how they will meet competitor's prices, I told my wife to give me the receipt. I would pickup more bags of birdseed and get a price adjustment. Guess what? They don't match their store prices. Now keep in mind that these stores are within miles of each other. The prices were regular sale prices, not close out/clearance/sale price.
What is the difference: An unethical business practice, false price guarantees and gouging the better off customer. You see, North Naples is supposed to be a little more affluent than East or South Naples (which has a much larger Hispanic population). So I guess Walmart is gouging the white man or anyone whose a productive member of society. People, we have to wake up! Walmart/Target are not American companies or carry the majority of American Products in the stores. So at the very least price compare, these stores will rip you off if they can. And they've mastered Customer Service No Service.

I have two complaints. The first is the choice of products at this store is becoming more difficult each visit. Yesterday I was looking for Hodgson Mill Veggie Rotini, which this store did not have or did not have a private label product equal to this one which contains spinach, tomato natural & beet pasta. This store has fewer and fewer choices of products. The second problem is I was once again overcharged for bird suet; price charged $1.44 but it should have been on sale for $1.00. I live 25 miles from this Wal-Mart, so trips to town only come every few weeks. This is not the first time this happened, but in fairness whenever I return to the store they do give me my money back that they overcharged me. That is not the issue. The issue is overcharging goes on all the time and most of the time I don't check every price on the ticket to see if it is correct and I should not have to do this job. Thank you for listening.

I went to Wal-Mart today on 1-10-2010 daughters had gift cards wanted to spend them we had found an lps play set that was $10 on clearance rack and went to buy it and once I bought it said it was $19.96 but the rack said clearance said $10. After I got the merchandise I notice that it said too much so I went to customer service and told them about it and said that I would like to have this for the clearance price. The lady said no I don't even know who she was besides that she worked there. So I said that I would like to speak to the manger because it was in the clearance rack I want it for that price she said o.k. so she called the assistant manager and she came up there where I was and said that I could not get it for that price I said why because she said to much difference in the price. I told her that was not my fault that it was in the wrong spot and should still get it for $10 she said still not getting for that price. But the bad thing is that she was not even near me she was about 15 to 20 feet away from me and was very loud and then I had made a comment to another lady and she said that I had gotten loud with her first and thought that was very unprofessional. So got her name and going to Wal-Mart tomorrow to talk to manger. The worst thing my daughters where standing right there. For her to be an assistant manger she was did not do her job very well. My saying is that if you are having a bad day stay home or come to work and do your job right.

Over charging customers for a gallon of milk. I paid $4.06 for a gal. of milk. Highway robbery. Next day while visiting my daughter, went to BJ' s and paid $2.33. I don't think Sam Walton would be too thrilled with the company he founded - Walmart. They are supposed to be compatible to other stores prices. Maybe they need to be reminded of our economy!

I took in a receipt for a purchase I had made a couple weeks before and took a sale flyer of another store that had the item on sale. I first asked at the front desk about the price matching that walmart does and she said to ask the customer service manager. I went to her with the sale flyer and my receipt and she said, they only match prices within the Castle Rock area. I have worked at walmart twice in my life and have never heard that one before. I have also recently heard a tv commercial that said, if there is a better price out there, Walmart will match it. Needless to say, I unwrapped the Christmas gift and got my money back. The other store got my business.

walmart sells for less this is a farce several times i have checked on the price of different items between merrill and wausau stores a lot of difference buddie heater 20.00 difference told to go to wausau to get it so i did told merrill about price on red devil 2.00 a quartwhat is wrong with these stores i live in merrill and have to go to wausau to get a better price this is not right.you advertise sell for less price match you dont even match your own stores others feel the same way we would like to keep our money in or comunity am i wrong or right

I was looking at a set of Winchester knives in a tin. I noticed that the cardboard boxes that these were contained in has $19 on it, but then I looked up and saw that the big white numbers above them (which, since those are changeable through the season, I assumed was more up to date). When I went to check out, the scanner brought up a price of $19. I told the cashier, who was very helpful, that it was really $9, and she brought someone up after a fairly long wait. That person, apparently the manger, asked what the problem was. I told him, and I told him where the price was, and he went to investigate.
Approximately 20 minutes later, he returned. He informed me , not without some attitude, that it was in fact 19 dollars. Upon further investigation on my part, he confessed that ther was no "1" in "19" up on the sign. "But," he continued, "it's really 19. There was a space where the 1 was. It's a stocking (or something like that) problem." So, I said, it was really $9, as it would say "$ 9" He insisted again that it was not and that it was a problem with the employees.Anyway, after waiting about 30 minutes, and the manager essentially admitting that it said $ 9 (even if there was a space before the 9, who cares? THERE WAS NO "1"), he didn't change the price. When some stores would own up to their mistake, Wal-Mart stood by their incorrectly-marked guns. How about showing some responsibility?

It said it was walmart pay $1.95 enrolled for a month in there savings program and receive a $25 walmart card, walmart never hear of it and i can't get through on the email address they give. I'm worried my debit card is compromised not to mention $1.95 is alot to me and they may start charging me for a service unavailable.

I purchased a pair of pajamas bottoms on friday @ st. charles Walmart for $9.00. on monday, my wife saw them for $5.00. tuesday morning, i went for a price adjustment of $4.00. a asst. mgr. or mgr. was called. she said the price should be $9.00. we walked back to the rack to see the price of $5.00. she said they should be $9.00.
she called two other girls to change the price. she told me i should not have to refund the difference of $4.00. you should go back to st. charles store, not here @ bloomingdale, IL store. she said she would do it for this time only and I did not take the $4.00. I purchased another paid and added the $1.00 plus tax.
that evening i called the store and spoke to asst. mgr. shawn. he was sorry for his employees bad service and he said in retail, we have to honor our pricing mistakes.

I stood in line for almost 5 hours on Black Friday to get one of the $198 laptops. Think I am doing good, get the laptop home give it to my husband(early)and the screen is busted. Take it back and the manager tells me that there is nothing she can do but give me my money back. I looked online and saw that they had the same laptop at walmart.com; so I ask why they cannot order one and have it shipped to store. online price is $328. She tells me that she can refund my money and I can order one online. I explain to her that I feel I should not have to pay full price, when its not my fault its broken. She gets very impatient with me and tells me that the only thing she can do is give me money back. I will never shop wal mart on black friday again.

Walmart failed to honor prices from another store ad as the promise to do.

We normally shop at this walmart for our weekly groceries. This past week apparently things have changed as far as honoring competitor printed ads. We normally take other store ads and walmart has been meeting competitor prices, regardless if it says buy one get one free, or 10 of an item for $10. This week the cashier said the manager had changed the policy to not honor the ads that specify "buy one get one free", or buy "10 for $10". Another store in Fort Worth told my neighbor that this store would honor the 10 for 10 but not the buy one get one free ads.
What is going on with Walmart? The Sunday ad from walmart in the paper states "Our stores will match the price of any local competitors printed ad for an identical product". What is the difference in buy one get one free and 10 for 10 and why is each stores policy different?
There is no information posted, or published, that states these changes so people will know before pushing a cart full of groceries to pay, then having to sort out the ones that don't meet their requirements to return to their place in the store. We will now start shopping at our neighborhood Alberstsons where they have the special prices due to this aggravation!

Black Friday sales papers had advertised prices as 5am - 11pm. However, when I (as well as a LOT of other people) started showing up at 3:30am, we were surprised to find that Walmart had started giving out advertised specials at midnight.

I was on your Black Friday add online and [they] listed Radio Controlled Big Time Muscle Car 1:10 Ratio for 19.00. store would not honor your add i was told Wal-Mart does not do the advertizing for the internet. Wal-Mart always states they will honor any misprints or competitor pricing. I still have the add if would like me to email it to. I would like for Wal-mart corp office to contact me.

According to their printed ad, online ad, & inside store signs; Anything advertised on sale during 2009 "Black Fri" & not only at sale price at a certain time (5-11am) would be sold at sale price from midnight on-until sold out. Didn't happen-told it was "head office orders". LIES!!! Not returning!!

on black friday the merchandise was supposed to become aviable at the specific time there was no store employee there to make sure that there was only one to a customer. People were just grabbing stuff, it was a mob scene. I guess the employees don't get paid enough to get trampled to death. This situation should be done in an orderly fashion. These so called bargains bring out the worst in people. why can't walmart sell these items all the time at the lower price? the corporate officers probably wouldn't get their huge bonuses.

On November 27,2009 I arrived Walmart in Iron Mountain, MI at 4:30am. I was there to purchase a 32" emerson tv and a laptop computer. What I found intersting is that there were customers inside shopping. I heard many complaints from these customers that all the electronics were sold out at 3:30am. How can this be when the ad did not say anything about pre-sales? When I asked an associate, they told me that there were special purchase tickets given out starting at midnight! Again where is the advertisment? I was told that they did not advertise this was a decision made by management. I was hoping that something could be done about this? A raincheck for these items is one thing that could be given to customers such as myself.

In every advertisment that Walmart displayed for black friday stated that prices and items would be available at 5:00 am. However the laptops that they had in their advertisement for 199.00 were all sold out by 2:30 am.

As everyone knows Black Friday is the day to save money. Walmart being really the only place to buy anything within 80 miles from where I live I figured show up plenty early. My soon to be wife had called several times to see what would be a good time to get there and she was told 3:30 would be plenty early cause they weren't handing out tickets till 5:00. The store was staying open 24 hrs. so I figured I would go ahead and go hangout so I arrived at 2:30 in the morning to find out that management of the store had handed out all the tickets for the sale items already. I called and complained and they said the tickets weren't to be handed out till 5:00 and when I explained what the situation was all they could say was there was nothing that they could do. I'm very disappointed in Walmart and if I have to travel 80 miles to get the service that is right thats just what I'll do. Walmart has managed to put alot of stores out of business to only go to hell farther down the road by hiring incompetent employee's

Went to the store at 4am this morning on black friday to purchase an item that was listed in the sale ad, which the ad stated that the sale started at 5am, Wal-Mart in Turlock Ca, had given out tickets for all their big ticket items at 2am, therefore the shoppers that were there for the 5am sale were not able to get anything in the sale ad.

I went to the Black Friday sale and arrived about 2:00 a.m. or 2:30 a.m at the store. i went because i wanted the laptop to which i believe was the Acer laptop. But I do know that it was the laptop computer that was on sale for $198.00.
As I was standing in line and waiting untill 5:00 a.m. for the products to be given out, people was already geting into the items before it began at 5:00 and the employees seeing them do it.
I do know that for the electronic devices being sold, you had to be 16 years or older and only 1 item per household. My complaint is that there was a young girl who was waiting in line with her boyfriend to purchase the same exact laptop. He had to make the purchase and show ID, because she is'nt old enough to purchase. They was the fourth person in front of me waiting in line and I had noticed that they left line about 30 to 45 minutes before they stared giving out numbers to purchase the laptop. It was about 12 to 15 people ahead of me and the employees told them including me and the two or three people behind me that there were no more computers.
I was very upset and hurt because I needed the laptop for college. I was very disappointed when I found out the girl along with her boyfriend had got to get the laptop. I do know this because her mom is an employee there at wal- mart, and my sister had went to the sale with them as well. The reason being that the employees daughter and her boyfriend were in line for the computer was that the employee had to work during the time of the sale.
I think that it was wrong because they had only like 37 of the laptops that i wanted to purchase and 5 of the other laptop. Although there was no rain checks on any of the iems, I think there at least should've been mentioned about being limited quantities of certain products and for the others that was in front of me as well and that got denied and turned down for the laptops. But the employee got to get the laptop because she wanted it to purchase the product for her daughter as a Christmas gift. I just font thin that it was right and then having people as well, brag and talk about how they were given out the numbers for it at 11:00 pm thursday night because of the store being open all night. I thought it was all suppose to start at 5:00 a.m friday morning not the night before and that all peple and items should be treated equal and fair.
I do alot of my shopping at wal-mart in Harlan but I believe that I will take my business else where to another wal-mart and not the one in Harlan.

I went to black friday and was going to purchase the HP laptop that was 298. I was the 18th person in line. One of the sales associates came out and told us that there was 22 computers. I wish I had her name but I do not. I fiqured that I would get one and did not mind waiting the 1 1/2 hrs till 5 AM when the sale started. Well, at 5 one of the workers roll the skid out with 12 computers. Needless to say I did not recieve one of the computers. Which I would not of cared if there was only 12 but, I waited because we were told there was 22. I would have left and went to Office Depot who also had the HP on sale, of cource by the time I got there they didn't have any left. I feel like we were not told so we would stay in store and spend money on something eles.
I shop at Wal Mart every week and this certainly makes me think twice about shopping there if that is how your customers are treated. I guess that business in these hard times don't seem to matter to your company.Once again I understand there is only a certain amount of item for these sales but here I sit now with no computer which could have been avoided if we were told the truth. Im sure that every person that was behind me which was aleast 50 feel the same way I hope that they do the same and write in.

BLACK FRIDAY SUCKS...........WALMART handed out tickets @ midnight for items to be on sale @ 5 am when we arrived @ Walmart @ 3 am to get our place in line in hopes of a fair chance to get a 200.00 laptop much to our surprize they were all ready claimed. This was my first BLACK FRIDAY and will be my LAST !!!!! THANK YOU Walmart for being the reason alot of people had a bad day !!!!

I am a single parent and even lost my job this year. I have scrimped and saved all year to go to this sale so that I could get christmas for my daughter. I drove 180 miles ONE WAY to go and shop at this WalMart. I arrived at 4:00 A.M. to hopefully get a chance at the E machines laptop computer they had advertised for $198.00 to get my daughter for Christmas. I was told they were set up in front of the registers and that is where I went. When I got up there, I was told they were already sold out and that they had been sold out since 11:00 P.M. the night before. The sale wasn't even supposed to start until 5:00 a.m. and that is what I asked the clerk who had told me this and all she did was stand there and smile at me and didn't say another word. Now on her pallet were still several computers sitting there. By this time I am so mad that I just walk off to go do the rest of my shopping. I go back to the electronics department and I know they had othere ones on sale, so I ask the clerk back there where the other laptops are, and she tells me that she has no idea where they are at!! Needless to say, by this point I am so upset with Wal Mart I didn't care if I spent another dollar in there or not. Then while I am back there in the electronics department, I here all the other customers complaining about what they did. One of them told me that they only had 27 of them, and they were really angry about that also. So, I left there and went to the others stores that were having sales to finish my shopping. When I was done, I decided to call the manager at that store and I asked him, what was the deal with selling the computers early. He tried telling me they didn't, that when he got to the store at 3:30, there were all kinds of computers that they were for sale(from the sale flyer) still there. I told him that is not what what the clerks told me and that the one clerk said they had been sold out since the night before. All he had to say was that I had been misinformed, and they had handed out reservations for them. I do not think that is fair either. I did not know anything about them doing that. He also told me that they had maps at the front of the store where all of the sale items were. Not one person told me about that eithere while I was in there shopping and not one clerk mentioned it either. He then told me the othere laptops were in the frozen food section. Now you tell me, would you look in the frozen food section for a laptop computer? That never entered my mind! Now, to me there is something wrong here, and I want to know what is going on. I have never been lied to so much from a store. What I am wanting to know is, if there sale flyer states that the sale starts at 5:00 A.M., are they allowed to sell the product before then? Are they allowed to had out reservations for an item before the sale? This just tells me that they are either keeping them for themselves, ofr for there friends and nobody else has a chance at it, And I also think that if you are going to have 2000+ customers in just one store to shop, you should have more than 27. To me, this is just not fair.

this store had GPS units and lap tops advertised for there black friday sale and the passed out numbers for these to those that was in the store at midnight without anyone knowing that this would happen there those of us that got up at 2 am and drove a hour to get there was just out of luck

Walmart advertised Nintendo DS lites for 98.00 in the flyer for 11/27/09 (black Friday). This special was also available online. The time given on the flyer was 5 am to 11 am on Black Friday. I logged on at 4:50 am and they were already sold out. This is totally unacceptable and frankly as a professional I finds this a bait and switch tactic except they were not switching it with anything. I would like a raincheck. I am not going to go this weekend due to the after Thanksgiving madness but will go on Monday and file a complaint with the store manager at my local Walmart. I also already filed an online complaint. we will see how that goes.

This is a 24 hour Walmart, and we were told even though the items were set out, it would be strictly enforced that no one could purchase anything on sale before 5:00 AM.
We being respectfull persons went to adhere to this, and we were going in at 5:00 to get a laptop. When we got there, there were people coming out of the store with them at 4:45 AM. Not only were we lied to about not selling anything before 5, they were sold out of laptops by 4:45.
If Sam Walton knew this he would be turning over in his grave. When he was alive, and he was running the stores, they still had honor and respect.
There was no orginazation what so ever in the store, and they had very little supply of what they were advertising. When we asked about this, the manager just kept walking and said they were sold out.
If the stores keep up with this attitide, and presence, I don't think they will be around much longer.
I sincerely hope other people had better luck in other store

I arrived at Wal-Mart at Midnight for a sale that was stated in their sale flyer as "All Day Friday". I was number 2 in line for a Laptop that was on sale..Per the store manager Josh, we had to wait until 5am to purchase it. The Laptop was not a door buster according to the AD..12:01 in fact is considered the next day, no matter how you look at it. I asked the store manager Josh, "where soes it say we have to wait until 5am?" He replied "it does not state it anywhere, but I can not sell it to you until 5am." Total false advertisement on Walmarts part.

It may not be a big deal to you and maybe you hear it a lot, but they should get a ticket and their black friday ad's banned. I am 31 and unemployed and wanted to get my son who is 13 the 198 dollar laptop, my mom called wed and they said open at 5, be there about a hour early. I got there at 3 and they there was people already walking out with stuff, so I rushed in and the manager and the greeter were at the front door. I said "I thought you opened at 5? Do you have have anything left. She said that because there were people in line for the laptop they let them in early and they ONLY HAD 16 to begin with, they were gone hours ago and walked away, I asked if another wal-mart might have them that opened at 5 while she walked away, she did not even look back, but the greeter just said no I am sure you wont find one, For one is that not false advertisment? It does say limited, But it says from 5am-11am,
I was there at 3am and went right in. How can they put that on the front page, have it splattered all over the internet, then open early with 16 in stock, and they wonder why people run past people and crush them, the way they do it with 16 in supply and no rain checks will start fights, It should be against the law. I was really happy thinking I could get my son a laptop since I am unemployed. How is it legal to lie to get you in the store hoping you will buy something else. I mean if they bugged me to buy a better one or more stuff fine, but to not even have it and have people stay up all night, get ready, and excited, then open hours before suppose to and already have the only 16 sold.
Wal-Mart is evil and smart, so I know they just didnt not prepare, or not think they would sell more than 16 between 5am and 11am, but really open at what midnight? And it's not like the pc company would tell wal-mart, no, you cannot backorder even if they didnt have enough at the time, It is the biggest retail store in the world, their computer distro is second in size only to the united states defence department. I believe they should have to honor what is printed. I was there 2 hours before that store, and the national ad said, and they were out 11 hours before the sale ended 2 hours before it even started. Will they ever ban this these misleading lies and fraud?? I am tired, upset, and now i know i will not be able to get my son a laptop. I feel like a loser and dont even want to live anymore, there is no jobs and everyone lies and munipulates people out of there money for greed.

I have been a valued Walmart shopper for years. I've always bought my children Christmas gifts from there and now my grandchildren and I've always shopped Black Friday sales in the store. I have ordered online in the past before, this is nothing new to me. Due to a back injury, I wasn't able to shop in store for the Black Friday sale, so I figured, what better way than to order online. I went through the online sale add, put each item in the cart, everything had shown available. I put each item in the cart as they had shown available....til time to pay....oops...slight problem with your order....EVERYTHING that I had chosen was NO LONGER AVAILABLE!!!! WHAT!!! It would be no different than if I were shopping in the store and had everything in my cart then Walmart decides they don't want to sale it to me. So, I'd like to send Walmart a personal thankyou for ruinning my familys Christmas.....I will NEVER shop there again.

black Friday sale was to start at 5am, according to the flyer....a friend of mined even called the store on Thursday evening and asked if she came in at midnight, if she could start shopping....they told her no that the sale starts at 5am.....my husband was there at 4:30am to buy me my Christmas present, which was the eMachine eME627 laptop computer, he was told that tickets were given out at 3:30am and they we gone at that time....I called this morning to Walmart-Houston, MO store and spoke to Jimmy, I told him that what happened was not right....I personnally think it was underhanded...I was offered nothing except that he was sorry they didn't have what I wanted....I don't even care that I didn't get the computer, but when the ad states that the sale starts at 5am, the sale should start at the time stated so everyone has a fair chance to get a bargin......VERY UPSET CUSTOMER...

But, my husband and I went to Walmart. We got there about 4:45am to get a tv that was on sale for my son. The sale started at 5am. When my husband and I got there. There was lines for everything. When we found the line for the tv's which was in the grocery deptment. We were told that all of the tickets for the tv's were already given out and that there had only been 32 of them. We ask what time the tickets were given out because the sale did not start till 5am an employee told us at 3am. Nowhere in the sale paper or advertizement on tv did it say anything about giving out tickets at 3am. Also in the sale paper it says that there was limited quanities. My husband and I saw one couple leave with 4 tv's and another man had 2. If they were going to have limited quanities why is it that they would let people buy more than one. And it was not just on the tv's it was on other items too.

I showed up for black friday sales, sales started at 5am. I got there at 4 to do some other shopping as well, of coarse people were lined up for the sale items. I was looking specifically for a laptop priced at 198.00 but couldn't find this particular item. I asked a floor salesmen where the line was for this and was informed that this item had already sold out and that they had only received 24 of them. Now, at that price they may have been limited on stock, but how come they sold out, when everything else you had to wait until 5am before you could start grabbing? I guess that is an employee benefit. So I asked where the hp laptops were at 298.oo and surprisingly those had sold out as well. I guess there is not much you can do about it, but having done this year after year, I will no longer be one of these shoppers. So many people left there unhappy about all the sales. They also had microwaves for 18.00 which also were no where in sight. I just think these companys should prepare for the merchandise that they want to put in the flyers and advertise so much.
Not that I will ever see anything from this, but I guess I got to vent. I think from now on I'll try the meijer's sales where at least you get coupons to use on any item you want. Much better. Next year that is where I will be.

Their ad indicated 3 different lap top computers on sale from 5 til 11 AM on Friday November 27, 2009. I went to the store on Thursday and asked about them as I wanted to look at them realizing I would not be able to purchase till Friday. I was informed they would not be available for review till Friday. I was in the store at 4:15 AM Friday. When I asked about the laptops, I was informed that all available laptops had been spoken for. There was no statement in the ad about limited quantities and there was no offer of a rain check. I believe this to be a case of false advertising by a major retailer.

I WENT TO WALMART IN JACKSON TO PRICE A DVD/VCR COMBO PLAYER. FOUND A DVD RECORDER/VCR PLAYER PRICED AT 69.88 ON A RACK THAT SAID 69.88 IN BIG NUMBERS ON TOP OF END CAP THAT THEY WERE ON. THERE WERE SEVERAL IDENTICAL PLAYERS ON SHELVES. I grabbed one and went to checkout thinking i was getting a very good deal. they were magnavox dvd recorder product serial number d31999737zv427mg9a.
when rang up it said 158.00. i said it was on shelf that said 69.88, and i could show them, the lady working register said she had to contact guy in electronics and when he came up he said that the price on tag was what they had to sell it for and that i was getting a good deal. then the cashier had to have sale approved by manager, who said they could not sell item as marked because of the large discrepancy in price, they could only give me 50.00 off of the 158.00.
I said the price tag says 69.88 and it was on an endcap that had a sign stating 69.88, and that is what i should pay for it. she said their lawyers have told them that they can only give a reasonable offer of a discount to me. I was still adamant about the 69.88, but people in line behind me were getting upset and so was I, so I told them to stick it and I would no longer do business with them. I feel I should have paid the 69.88 price as on the pricetag and sign.

My friend & I buy our nursing uniforms for many years. At our last visit we noticed teh manufacturer price tags were cut off & new higher price tags applied ($12.97 TO $15.00). Much more of an increase than we've seen in our pay checks. Who is reaping this increase? Certainly not the company that made them or the consumer. Thank you.

Something ridiculous happened today. My eyes were only 5 seconds away from the monitor when I was unloading the bags from the rack to my cart in order to create spaces for the cashier. I wish they didn't do anything wrong in those 5 seconds. But I just couldn't put my trust on Wal-Mart. So I reviewed the receipt when I got home. Oh of course, she charged 6 kiwi fruits at 33 cents each as 6 cantaloupes at $3 each for $18! What a disgusting incident! Cantaloupe and kiwi fruit, they are not even close!
They gave my overcharged money back after I made a special trip back. But the experience is so disgusting and absurd! I wish they were not trained to have those impressive skills to take advantage of the customer!

bait and switch is a common practice in the world of free market but sad to say the wal mart world monopoly also has started to practice some of these same hard sell tactics. For example one of the more common practices of this is to place merchandise over the wrong shelf price as your complaint suggests but the more deceptive practice was disclosed to me by the stores management only after my formal complaint was addressed to him through the CEO IN ARK. AND HERE IS WHAT I WAS TOLD:
"It is wal marts practice to place merchandise in a discount/closeout section of the store without a discount price marked on it while awaiting a reduced price to be sent down from the main office". Hopefully this is not an example of what is to come in the new world order of monopoly because it is an absolute deception to miss lead shoppers into assuming they can receive a discounted price at the register only to be humiliated as a spectacle to others when you are debating why you are being charged the regular price with no discount offered to you. well needless to say I found out the hard way while standing in the check out line for nearly 30 min.
as the debate continued leaving those viewing to conclude that I was trying to get something for a reduced price when the store intended to get full price by way of this bate and switch policy. Whats worse is the fact that wal mart acknowledges this practice but refuses to change there methods by keeping the unmarked supposed discounted item off the discount shelf until they can properly display a discount price on the item.

I was surprised they still hadn't corrected this issue within their system, as it was called to their management's attention the last 2 visits I had made to buy water. This time, I was now being directed to pay for it at the higher price and await their manager to take me over to their Customer Service/Returns counter to resolve it, refused and told them they could just put it back, I would file a complaint since they seem to be incapable of correcting this, or unwilling.
This is the third time I had to inform cashier that opening up the cartons and ringing up the gallons individually was charging more than the carton price listed on the shelf sticker. The two (2) times I bought water before, the cashier had the cashier supervisor/manager come over and they acknowledged the overcharge and corrected it; both times before it was the same manager who took care of it. This would require standing there for a bit more time for them to correct the price--after standing in line and waiting to begin with, and call attention to the purchase.
Now for the last 2 years the local WalMarts here have been unable to enter a price for 3 pack cartons at the registers, so they opened the cartons, scanned one and charged for three individually. I purchase distilled water for a chronic medical condition; have been buying 3-4 cartons (one carton lasts me almost a week for coffee, drinking, etc.) at a time and store it for use. Their having to open the cartons was irksome, as then the cartons wouldn't be stable when stacked on top of another for storage.
Having recently found they have been overcharging for this water for at least 2 years (the time they have been unable to scan and ring up the carton), each gallon being $.07-.08 additional each this way than if the carton price was charged. Can only imagine how much extra consumers are being charged in this manner, as both local stores in Martinsburg WV have this issue and it seems it is a wider problem than that. overcharged $.07-.08 per gallon, 12-14 gallons monthly, for as long as last 2 years

They have a sigh saying International Wires up to $500.00 for $8.00. They charged me $10.00. When asked the lady she says that what we have in the computer. I think this is false advertisement.

Please explanin to me that [they] can have different prices on fodd . Example Walmart Edmonton. 4 litre of milk $3.69 Ft Saksatchewan 20 min drive same 4 litre of milk $5.23. That is a serious mark up. example again Wal-Mart Edmonton 4 litre choclate milk $4.53. Ft Saskatchewan $6.17. That is absolute price gouging! It going to cost [them] the $15,000.00 to $20,000.00 we trust in [them] annually and many many other friends and family will be notified!

CAUTION: I have noticed that Walmart will raise the price of some name brand products such as sugar, cottage cheese, and milk, just to make their grate value brand seem much cheaper or to make a huge profit off of name brands. In fact, in my area, I found the price of name brand sugar to be 80 cents cheaper at local grocery store. It was not on sale.
This is a deceptive practice therefore, starting today I will no longer buy my groceries at Walmart.

We bought some duracell batteries on Friday Sept. 25. The sale tag was there. We got home and last night I checked my receipt and they had charged full price. We went back today Saturday Sept. 26 and was told the sale was over on thursday. They would not give them to us for the sale price. We returned the batteries.

last year according to my check book ,i spent 11,239.42 at wall mart this year i have spent to date 8,642.56 at wallmart.
im sorry wall mart but myself and many others in this area who spend this kind of small change in your store are not paying for your renovations, its back to roses ,k mart, lowes, and krogers for me and mine,we the people of rocky mount va. whom feel the same as i, here by boycot wall mart, and will take our small change elsewhere.

I am just about sick of getting ripped off at Walmart! I know that today I haven't got a lot of money to gripe about but when something is on sale at walmart they should put it in the register as the price it is supposed to be. This happens all of the time and I don't catch it until I get home but I have had enough. Fritos were on sale today for $2.00 a bag and when I got home they were $2.50. I bought 3 bags and I know that is not a lot but it is $1.65 I shouldn't have had to spend. If this had been the first time this had happened I would not have said anything because I know that mistakes happen but at the Walmart in Hugo it is a regular thing. I live 15 miles from there so it is not like I can run back up there to get it straight every time. It would cost me more to drive back up there than it is worth. Hugo Walmart is the worst store I have ever had to deal with. They never even offer to help you put your things back in the cart. They start checking everything as soon as you put one thing on the conveyer belt so therefore you can't check your prices as they are checking. Everything is your responsibility as they stand behind the checking counter. I'm sure that nothing will be done but I will start taking my receipts back even if it is a week later. If there was another stor anywhere remotely close enough, I would never step foot in another Walmart. You can believe me to when I say, that I am not the only one who feels this way. Hugo store sucks badly!

On 9/3/2009 I purchased several items at Walmart in Framingham - including a 12 pack of soda. The shelf price was posted at $2.99 a 12 pack. At the registry I was charged $18.75! I didn't notice the error until I was leaving the store but returned to the cashier who told me he couldn't help because I'd already signed the receipt and directed me to "customer care". There was a line. A waited -- when I finally reached the counter the person behind the counter started a conversation with another employee and ignored me. When I finally got his attention he said that the price of $18.75 for 12 cans of soda was indeed correct and I could take it or return it. I returned it and was given a credit but Massachusetts state law requires merchants to honor their posted prices - and they did not.

I went in to purchase a specific product for a friend. I comparison shopped as always and chose the best deal for $10.56 . At the register, it rang up $11.56 . I told the cashier, she said that was the price. I paid, walked directly back to the shelf and verifed only to find I was right. I was directed to the Customer Service Dept by the cashier. (Her job was to put the money in the register.)
After waiting for two other customers, I told the clerk my situation. She began my refund of $1.08, had me sign, as if I did something wrong, and said thank you. I told her I appreciated the courtesy but wanted the price in the register to be corrected so others would not endure the same inconvenience. She said she would see what she could do.
I'm guessing that's where it ended. This has happened so many times for me. Most of the time I am gone from the store before I realize what happened. I wonder how many other people have had similar experiences. Just a little guy feeling bullied by the big guy.

After talking to the manager on the phone, she inform me she was right and that the manager said to return them and purchase them again. That is so stupid, I am not going to take everything out of them but I will stop shopping at Walmart. I live in a small toewn, hopefully not much longer, and they are the only place to shop. Now I will drive 20 miles and shop ina real grocery or clothing store.

i went to walmart on july27,09 and used my sale adds and was told that they would not take one of my sale adds because they said that the store add was a generic meat that they sold at the store where the meat was on sale the name was called TERRYS AND WOULD NOT give it to me they always say that they take all sale adds but they dont

i am a big walmart shopper and am alittle disappointed that the parents choice diapers have gone up by 2-3 dollars while the size of the packaging has gone down. i just wanted to voice my complaint somewhere. i am a single mom of 6 and living on ssi as my only means of income and i have had to almost double the amount of diapers i by since the size shrinkage.

I was shopping at the Walmart above where they sell a product called Nardones Pizza which comes in a box with a price on the package. The pizza is pre priced $5.99 and it is sold this way in every store. As a matter of fact it is only sold in the pre priced box. The Walmart store above has put white stickers over the pre priced amount and is charging $6.76 for this item. They store is making the customer pay more for the product than the company charges. There is almost a one dollar mark up on the product.

I carried my grand daughter and her husband to our local Wall Mart Super Center last night where they found a TV stand for $19.00. When we got to the check out it rang up $24.00. I had checked the bar code number and it matched the number on the sticker on the shelf with the $19.00 price. After they were made to pay $24.00 I went back and checked and found that it was stocked in both the $24.00 and the $19.00 spots. Like most on a limited income they had counted their money and figured they had enough to buy the item. Stockers should not put items they do not have room for in another spot on the shelf as that is very confusing.
My real complaint is that the bar code number was on both prices and a stocker should pay attention and I don't feel like they should have had to pay the higher price and the lady checking on the problem didn't really seem to want to hear what we were trying to tell her because she kept saying that she went by the item number not the bar code number which should not have been on both price stickers on the shelf. A little training could go a long way at Wall Mart in several places in the store. I have said so many times that I was NOT going to shop there again this has pretty much made up my mind for me. I actually tried to get them not to buy the item and told them that I would take them elsewhere. Thank you.

He couldn't answer and a meat manager was called. She couldn't answer stateing that the pricing came out of the distribution center. A store manager had the same response. End result there was no 20c/lb samivings. This was also true on several meat products other than hamburger. I got no satisfaction. I felt this was was (is) a deceptive marketing practice and am refering it to the state consumer advocacy of WI. Fri May 29, 2009 approx.2PM

I purchased an HP laptop computer that was on sale for 398.00 marked down from 598.00. Got home and found they gave me the wrong laptop. returned it to the store and manager of the department advised they were out of that laptop. I asked her to check the Muncie store (16 miles away) they advised they had 3 in store but the price was 100.00 dollars higher. Called WalMart Corp they did nothing.

I went to this store with a friend, dates are saved on my phone,we noticed a product which was a outdoor glider swing, it had a big sign saying-Unbeatable for $18. So I called a sales girl for help, and stated I would like to have this product,( they were all on a shelf in boxes) so a employee was necessary to get one down, the sales girl said she could not sell it to me because it was incorrectly priced, I requested a manager, Assist.mngr Kevin came to help me, he stated he could not sell it to me as well, saying the price which he found on a product description picture hand written in ink stated the product was $179.00 not the advertized price of $18.
I stated it was the law if a product is marked wrong they must sell it to me for that price, he agreed that was true but he couldn't make that decision,I had to call the regular store mngr in the morning,( Michelle )he said I was probably going to get it for the mismarked price anyway, but he just couldn't make the decision. He said he could give it to me for 45% off but thats all he could do at that time.
/
So I called Michelle in the morning, she said she would not sell it to me at the priced marked, saying somebody changed the price,I stated to her your employees are responsible but thats not my responsibilty to correct their mistake,I am a customer, I want the product at the marked price, she said I could have it for 10% off, I said NO, I want it for the advertized price, and I have a picture of that advertizement and my witness, I did not touch the price, I even offered to take the floor model, which has been slept in by the walmart employees. All I know is I called walmart corp. I was told Sherry T was to call me and did not,its been over 1 week. I've called again and again, I feel their ignoring me. I spend alot of $ in this store, I don't deserve to be treated like this.

We drove to wal-mart in Jamestown due to convenience to purchase a TV when ours went out - we could have as easily went to nearby Cookeville where there is a wide selction of merchants -only to come back home empty handed. The issue was that on the way to the store I found an add at SAMs club for the TV we wanted. Wal mart had the same TV for approx. $20.00 more so we asked for a price match only to be told no immediatly by a person in that dept.
I asked to speak to a Manager (Jody) simply because of the way the no was relayed without any thought by the person working the department. The Manager also told us no - he said they wouldn't match anything that was not in the town of Jamestown. It is important to know that Jamestown is a tiny spot on the map and there is nothing there besides wal mart.
I thought I would post this here to be a voice and to let it be known that wal mart is not the all american store they claim to be, in today's economy they should be doing all they can to retain clients. The $20.00 isn't the issue, it is the choice we made to do business there and the choice wal mart made to keep us from doing business.

I told him I would buy it so, he took it up to the register so I could pay for it. When I got there and I started to pay for it the department manager came over and told me I couldnt have the tiller for a $100.00dollars I had to pay $275.00. When it had an advertised prise of $100.00 dollars on it.
She humiliated me in front of the other customers. So, I`m gonna sue Wal-Mart for false advertising.

I have noticed that Wal-Mart is starting to screw the consumer on cut backs of their Great Value Brands. I was buying the 13 gallon tall kitchen bags quantity 55 per box. I now noticed that they have cut the quantity down to 45 per box and the price has gone up about 28 cents also. Thank You Wal-Mart for cheating the consumers and still increasing the price. I think I will start shopping at Target from now on. They have better products anyway. The prices have become pretty competitive also. Consumers be ware. Check the size of can goods also. They are slowly making the cans smaller. Coffee, sugar, flour. Items such as these are being reduced and the price is being increased.

I just purchased a product at Walmart. When I was being checked out the price on the package was 99 cents and it checked out higher on my receipt. This has happened to me twice. I am wondering how often this happens to others.

Let me tell you how angry I am. When you see this store tell you it's the mfg. fault, but you see that they have cut the weight of this animal food, at 20lbs to 18lbs, and then raise the price of this food from 25 cents to 50 cents a WEEK. When the price of fuel has dropped to half it's price, and their making up their stock options, on our backs, when the ecomony is so bad. HOW TARE THEY DO THIS. I've SEEN WAL-MART JACK UP THE PRICE AT THE SCANNERS, AT LEAST 1$, AND YOU HAVE TO FIGHT TOOTH AND NAIL, TO GET THE PRICE ON THE SHELF. I'm glad people are starting to cautch on, I'm hoping more do. Wal-Mart is not your friend.
I buy less food, and get some food from the food bank, and it's every thing I can do to take care of my dogs who protect and love me, and their getting old,and I have to buy some canned dog food, to help them out. I wonder how many people can't even do this because of their bills. BUT Wal-Mart can rip us off.

I live in Polk County Georgia. In Polk County we have two Wal-Mart stores and I usually go to Wal-Mart in Cedartown but one day last week I went to the Wal-Mart in Rockmart which is about 20 minutes away. I went in and bought some fish and I noticed that the price was ten cents cheaper. And I would like to know how come the prices are different in the two stores. The cost of living is basically the same and I just don't understand why the prices are so different.
I bought a daisy pellet rifle in Cedartown and when I was in Rockmart I noticed the one in Rockmart was about $10.00 cheaper. I don't believe that the prices in Rockmart should be that noticeably different. I am glad that the people in Rockmart are getting cheap prices for their stuff but shouldn't everyone in the same county pay the same thing for the things that they buy.
I feel like Wal-Mart is ripping people off and taking advantage of everyone because there is no where else locally to go that has the same amount of different products readily available at one store. One stop shopping is a good thing in today's economy because we don't all have the extra gas money that it would take to go to the different stores to buy the products that Wal-Mart offers in one store.

sign in front of thompson water sealer was 39.oo charged 63.62 ,would not honor price as per advertised

I was looking for pricing on a lap top/ desktop, when I saw a display on an endcap for a desktop that was marked $4.97. I stopped a guy that looke like he was the dept mgr and asked what the price was on the computer and he very rudely said; you know its not 4.97 its 497.00. I have a picture of the computer and display price. I was really going to have words with him but I know it was unecessarry. I truly wanted to point out an error on his dept part, but he tryed to make me look stupid infront of my wife. So now what I want is a letter of apology and the desktop sold to me at the price that was advertized. I have been shopping at walmart for over 20yrs and had never anyone treat me like an idiot like this guy did. I have the photo of the display and would like for you to see it.
my wife and I were insulted, the manager did nothing to correct the problem or soften the uncomfortable situation by apologizing to us as customers or getting an employee to change the display. I refuse to go to this walmart to the electronic dept and purchase anything.

At approxmatey 4:30 hrs. on March 10, 2009 I purchased 2 (200 count) boxes of Spelda that has a roll-back price of $6.00 from $6.98 The cashier rung up the initial price of $6.98. I informed her of the roll-back price. She stated that it did show any roll-back in the system and she would have to go and check. After 4 or 5 minutes she retuned and gave me credit for the roll-back price.
My real concern is that this is the seventh time in 3 or 4 weeks that I have had this same issue with Wal-Mart.Each time I get the same routine. I ask to speak to management, the cashier gets the floor manager over says well the dept didn't get the price change in the system, but I'll go and tell them.
Does the store manager ever hear about this? Does He/She care? Is this a marketing ploy of Wal-Mart to deceive and cheat it customersto improve it bottom line? Is it ploy of the store manager improve his gross sales so he can get a bonus? I'm sure Mr. Sam Walton never intended for Wal-Mart to be run in this manner.

I went to Wal-Mart and purchased the things I needed including two coupon items. The cashier told me that I could not use the coupons at Wal-Mart. I asked her why and she said, that I could not get an item free. Is this a policy at all Wal-Mart's now? One coupon was for Russell Stover's candy, buy two and get one free. The other one was for Whitman's, buy one and get one free. Since I could not use the coupons, I told her that I would purchase the candy elsewhere. So, I did and took my business to the nearest place that took my coupons. I have told other friends about this and they also want to know if Wal-Mart stores are not taking these coupons. If so, it is going to hurt your business! Please send me a reply and I will pass it on. Thank you!

Great Value Clover Honey - SKU# 78742 22951 This item is marked as net wt 48oz. (3 lbs). However, we saw that this container size, when compared to other bottles we had in our kitchen, was much smaller than indicated. We tested this theory by filling the empty container with liquid. As we suspected, the jug only held 40 oz of liquid and this was filled to the brim. This is clearly a case of misrepresentation and mislabeling by the manufacturer. Shame on you WalMart for once again ripping off the consumer!
We are not getting what we paid for! When we see something is marked and priced according to the net weight or size, we end up paying more be cause we are actually getting less!

I was at Walmart to purchase my son a walmart card for Valentines Day. He brought up a Visa card at the register and asked if he could get it instead so he couild us it anywhere. I told him yes, then the cashier told me it had to be ran up seperatly. I told her okay. Then when she handed me the receipt, I said I said 25.00 not 33.94. She said, Oh, well money card is 8.94 for the plastic card then you put the 25.00 on it, I said, no way, I am not going to pay for a plastic card, I want to change it to a walmart card. She said she couldn't do that, I would have to go to Customer Service. I then waited in line for 20 minutes, feeling very irritated.
After I got to the counter, they told me they couldn't refund the money I had to call the number on the card. I called the number on the card and it is a recording. I went to look on line to find a number to call and found out they won't even active it because he is 14. I can't get through to anyone to get a refund because it is just a recording. So, here I have this card I paid 33.94, for 25.00 can't activate it, can't get a refund, can't get help from Walmart Management, and am SO Ticked off I don't ever want to shop at Walmart again. This shoud be illeagle!
There is nowhere on the card that said it was going to cost 8.94, the cashier told me nothing, and I coudn't even read the card with an extra pair of glasses to call the number! This is more irritating than it should be against the law. I haven't been this frustrated about anything in a long time. It is just WRONG and Very sneaky. What do I do now? FRAME IT? Happy Valentine's Day to my Step Son! Thanks for the V Day gift of Robbing my Bank Account Walmart!
I have a Step Son wth nothing for Valentines Day, I am 3 Poorer, with nothing to show for it, Screwed up my good intensions for my Step son for V Day, Ruined my whole day and wasted all this time, [upset] me to no end. I can't even Demand my money back because I end up in this endless looop of Walmart saying they cant do anything, to call the number on the card, or receipt. go ahead, Try it, you will never reach customer service.

I purchased 5 pairs of womens ankle high socks. The sale price and sign said they were on sale. I paid 1.50 a pair. I got them home and was taking the price tags off, when I noticed, they were priced at 1.00 on the factory tags. The 1.50 sticker was over the original tags. I took them back and asked to speak to a manager. None were available so I left my phone number. No call regarding this matter.
I went back the next day and a few days later to check the sock racks. All was still the same. Sale...1.50. On my last check, they had cut all the original tags off, that had the price of 1.00 and placed the 1.50 stickers on them. I think this practice is illegal or at least it should be. They are making a 50 percent markup on every pair. If they do it on these small ticket items, what are they doing to the high end items?
This store is supposed to offer lower prices for the consumers, but if they are, they make up for it doing the hike on other items. I feel cheated and especially upset, thinking they have no regard for the consumer. They do what they can get away with.

I went online to compare prices of things that I needed for my new laptop. Seen on their website this cooling fan for 19.97 I was shocked because it was cheap. So I went to my local Walmart and there it was 24.88. When I went to the counter I showed them what I had seen online and the price and they said they do not match online prices. Well I said you can keep it then and continued to pay for the rest of the stuff that I had.
I then called up the Corp. office and they said that they do not match the website prices. I think this is wrong do to the fact I can find anything on the internet for any store and they will match those prices that are on their website. This is wrong since you are getting the same product for a cheaper price on the website but not in the store and all you have to do is pay .97 shipping and handling along with the tax for your state which is cheaper but have to wait to get the item rather being able to get it from the store directly.
You should be able to go to the store and get it for the same price that they advertise on the website for the same item. They told me that it is stated on their website that these are web prices only I did not see that all on their web site even after looking at products available at store. They were very rude at the store and at corp. I will never go to the Walmart in Surfside again I will go to the one on 501 in Myrtle Beach even though they are farther away for me. They are more polite there and they help you out more.

the tv ad for wall mart which state they will honor all advertised sale price at other stores is not the case. They will only honor a advertised sale price from unknown store and not any chain supermarket store. This is not what they show in the ads that run on television. If their are limit on certain ads they should be required to state that in the ad. The ad that runs now is misleading. That is no different from advertisting a product and not carrying it in the store.

I was purchasing a bra. The one I had chosen didn't have a price on it, so I found another one, (same brand, same style, etc) with a price tag on it of 12.88. I thought I was saving time, but I forgot the bar code. When they scanned my bra it came up to $14.00. I showed the lady the other bra with 12.88 on it, so she scanned it. It came up as $14 also. I asked her why it was coming up one price when the tag said something else. She didn't have an answer. I mentioned the part of the tag on my bra where the price was supppose to be wasn't there. Someone had taken them off of all the bras.
I believe they were trying to hide the fact that the price was different when scanned. I wouldn't have been so upset but on the day before (3rd) it happened 5 times in the grocery section. I believe that they were doing this particular on the first of the month as that is when the older people are shopping. They don't usually watch prices as closely and this Wal-mart can cheat them. I have a real problem with Walmart cheating the elderly or anyone else.
The cashier gave me the bra at 12.88 as was on the tag. Mainly because I was getting upset. It just gripes my bones that anyone is willing to take advantage of people during this time; or any other time.

twice in the last month I have picked up something on the end of an aisle that was suppose to be on sale. when i reached the checkout the items showed regular price. i was told that is the price and someone probable moved the item. (well is someone moved these items, they went through a lot of trouble to move large numbers of these items to the sale rack.) i was on the watch, but for older people and those who don't pay attention, this is a rip off. walmart pricing practices need investigating.

today i was shopping at walmart and saw a special, old milwaukee beer, $5.97 for a 12 pack.i picked up 4 thinking that was a good price. at checkstand they rang up at $6.37. i told the woman they were marked $5.97. so everything stopped for about 10 minutes. some guy named joe went back to check price, checker went back to check price. joe says keystone was $5.97 not old mi and there were 4 there.l. i said fine, i'll get that and went back with cart and there were two keystone over the two signs saying old milwaukee $5.97.
the keystone had been moved over the signs. i took the price tags up front and even though they clearly said old mil, this joe guy showed me a puc number and told me that was for keystone like see, it's your fault. he was covering up for his mistake. i told him i'd pay the extra 40 cents just to get out of there and did. he has done this before when i was over charged telling me this only happens to you. i'm tired to being over charged. i've written to the head manager and got no reply. i speak to others that have had similar experiences. this guy should not be in customer service.
I had to pay an extra $1.60 and it makes me very angry. time for a class action suit i'd say.

Went into Walmart for a few items, The meat dept had some Oscar Meyer shaved turkey on sale with a big walmart savings ad on the shelf, got my other items and checked out w/u-scan, i checked my receipt on the way to the door and noticed I got charged full price for the turkey, i asked the girl at the u-scan desk to call me a manager so I could bring this error to his attention, after about 5 minutes or so he showed up, I told him what happened, he did not offer to give me the diffence but to get in the long line for customer service, more or less he just blew me off?, thats false advertising when hundreds of people are thinking they are getting a good deal on a item, but they are ripping you off, my advice is to always check your reciepts when shopping at Walmarts!, DONT TRUST THEM
Hundreds of thousands of people are getting overcharged by false advertisments, Walmart benefits. This is not the first time that this has happened!, Someone needs to report them, and make the public aware.

I was in this store 1/14/09 morning for my shopping . The AD on Eggplants was $1.48 EA on the rack where eggplants were placed. So I bought 4 eggplants . In checking ,it came as $1.48 per Ibs. so the checker call the associate and she went to check the price. When she(Marsha) came back ,she said that's right but I cannot give you like that it was a mistake ,and I corrected that .I replied as a customer I went with the price that was on the ad and therefore it should be priced according to the ad. The associate Marsha got so mad and replied I can give one eggplant on that price and rest you have to buy t $1.48 per Ibs . I refused and said according to walmart policy they go with the Ad price .She stood right in my face and said Ya ,Ya WHATEVER .
I urged to see the store manager.By that time I was so embrassed and insulted infront of all the crowd there,it was not about the eggplant or the price it was her attitude and my humiliation, degrading experience that I wanted to talk to the manager.I felt like a victim as she talk to all other associates that were standing around and everybodies eyes were on me ,like I did something wrong . In the delay of manager to come ,she refused to talk to me . Before I left the store i talk to the Manger Chad and told him what happen in detail and made a suggestion that I customer service retaining for Marsha. This experience has spoiled my one day off that I had ,just because I came to walmeert to shop where associated make their own decision and not follow the policy.I will appreciate it if these kinds of poor attitudes be changed and no other customer should not have to go through what I encouter in Walmart in Forney .
Humiliation and embrassment in public place.

I'm just tired of being ripped off! Last night I went in to shop. In the back of the store was a large display of calendars. On each side of the display--North, South, East, and West was a sign with 8 tall letters displaying $9.97. So I picked up a calendar for my office at work. When the cashier scanned the calendar, it asked her to Enter Code. This calendar had two UPCs on it from the maufacturer. But what I had not seen was a 1 inch x 1 inch sticker that said $12.97 -- 3 dollars more than what the signage on the display had stated.
When she scanned the sticker and I saw $12.97 pop up, I told her that the sign over all the calendars had stated $9.97. She told me, But it has a sticker on it. So I told her to call a manager. Stacy (customer service manager) came and asked me what was wrong and I told her the same thing. She told me it didn't matter what the signage said, it had a sticker on it, maybe someone had stuck it there by accident. I told her there were dozens of them and I doubt that anyone but an employee would have done that. She just shrugged her shoulders.
I watch my receipts from Wal*Marts carefully. Usually if I buy more than 30 items at one time, I will find at least one item that scanned the wrong price. I guess they are rich enough to either pay the fines to Weights and Measures or pay them off. I would shop elsewhere but they are opened 24 hours and I work late.
I bought the calendar anyway and just lost the $3.00. This is a matter of trust and honor of which Wal*Mart has neither.

Purchased Organic Baby Carrots Code # 003263134100 and shelf tag seated .98 for the price at the checkout it rang up $1.98 and didn't notice untill I was a home looking at the register slip, I returned to the store and recived a refund, I explained to the manager that this was not the first time that this has happend and that it was a company wide problem.
What I would like to have happen if some one has enough fight in them to go up against this giant and do a check on all of their price postings and compair them to their check out registers, I know that this is a company wide problem and I do recall that when WalMart first started in my small town is that if the price posted did not match at the check out you recived the item for free.
Now it seems that they try and do it because they know that most people do not check their register slips and if they do it's to dig of a hassel to return to the store. I admit that I do try and catch them at what they are doing but I do not have the education back ground to realy do anything about it, I will leave this up to the experts but am willing to help in anyway possible to cure this company of this habbit

I found a Brother sewing machine in the clearance for $50.00. Regular price is about $79-99. I asked the checker if there was anything wrong since the tag said it was an "inventory Prep" She said probably not. When I got it home and started to use it it has no schttle for the bobbin which vertually renders it unusable. When I called the store they said just to bring it back for a refund. I want the machine not the refund. I only want them to make the purchase good and not to resell it to someone else.

I was informed by my father inlaw to watch this store because there self prices do not match the register prices. So three days before christmas when I went to shop for christmas dinner, I noticed the soda was marked by a big sign $.88 but when it was rung up it showed to be $1.29. that was only one item that I was able to catch. I am now going to go with my husband and we are going to write down prices on self and compare to our receipt.
I am a stay at home mother with Lupus and Fibromyalgia. My husband is the sole bread winner and we have to make our money stretch between 4 young girls. I was very disappointed because walmart is supposed to target families like mine but to find out they are stealing from families like mine puts a real bad taste in my mouth.

Walmart over charges for their products and when confronted, they reply, Sorry, if the price didn't come up, we can't make an adjustment. It is December 27th and Walmart is offering 50% off Christmas stock. I purchased peppermint soft sticks where some came up 50% off but he others did not. They were the same product just in different size packages.
When asked at Customer Service why some came up regular and the others 50% off, she replied that the price on the register is the price of the product. I showed her that some came up cheaper than others and she replied that there is nothing she can do about it. I also purchased Gatorade which is marked on the shelves $4.98 put I was charged $5.98. She told me that there is nothing she can do about it. This is taking advantage of the consumer. I should have pushed harder but there was a line behind me and she made it obvious there was nothing she could do. I should have saved an additional $8.00 or so but did not because of their consumer fraud.
The economic damage is that they are not charging what it clearly marked and refuse to do anything about it.

purchased a movie that was priced 5.00 it rung up 7.50 went to the customer service desk she only refunded what was owed to me .i mentioned about the pricing law and she ignored me.i feel i should have gotten something for there mistake

I made a $40 purchase at Wal-Mart. I used my Paypal debit card. The clerk said the card wasn't any good. I knew it was but, there were a lot of people in line so I used another bank card and the transaction completed.
The next day, i looked at my Paypal account and found that Wal-Mart charged my Paypal account for $60.00. $20 more than the bill was. I then checked my bank card account and the correct charge was on there. I tried to contact someone at Wal-mart but there phone answering machine wouldn't let me so I contacted the store and they asked me to bring my stuff over the next time I go over. This coming Saturday. So far, no action has been taken.

I went to Walmart in Kennett Square and asked about a Norelco Artitek #1050. Due to a doctor appointment I said I would return for this item a little later (1-2 hours). When I returned the item had been promised to another customer. Manager called Parkesburg store and was told the item was available and would be in customer service under Kennett Square store name. My complaint is that the same item was $12.00 more which was not agreed to in the phone call. I was given a $25.00 gift card for the inconvenience of driving 20+ miles to this other location. But I still think it is wrong to charge $12 more for same item in two stores so close. I gotupset and refused it so was then given the same price $152+ and did buy the item. It was embarassing to have to do that for me.

I ordered one ring online and am being charged three times by debit card. It is next to impossible getting a hold of someone by phone and they will not return your emails.

I purchased 2 bags of Doritos, nacho cheese and cool ranch, that were advertised on the shelf for $1.99, save $1.01. The nacho cheese bag rang up correctly for $1.99 but the cool ranch rang up at the regular price of $3.00. I also purchased 2 bags of Smart Food white cheddar cheese popcorn, normally priced at $2.60 but each bag had an orange sticker for $2.00. They also rang up incorrectly.
When I returned the next day, I was reimbursed the difference in the incorrect prices I was charged ($2.21 total) but not given any additional compensation as according to Michigan scanner law.

Store # 3129, Hanover, Ontario. Terminal ID: WALCAAAKGSA, AUTH # 135303 On November 16/08 (13:51:03) we purchased a few items, totaling $98.53. A few days later I looked at the receipt and discovered that we had been charged twice for one gift item, in the amount of $11.93. We are sure this was done in error but would like reimbursement for this. Is it necessary for us to go to the original store, or could we take the receipt to a more convenient location?

This evening I went into Wal-Mart with a Target ad. Target had some movies on sale that I wanted to purchase as Christmas presents for my family. I got the movies took them to the checkout with the Target ad. The front end person called the manager to ask if it was alright. She came back with I have good news and bad news. Im allowed to price match for those movies but I'm not allowed to price match the Target ad because it's over 30 miles away. Well the nearest Target is 25.8 miles from our Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has price matched Target ads before for me.
So of course I asked to speak with the manager. At first he said there isn't a Target within 30 miles. Once I had my husband map-quest the nearest Target he then changed the story to we dont and wont price match Target.... then he changed his story again and said well if u want to come back tomorrow and ask the electronics department manager you can. I asked him how is that possible when the Target ad is over today. Not my problem
I called the Wal-Mart customer service hotline. They were no help and gave me the district manager's name of Allen Otis with a phone number. I have had nothing but problems at this Wal-Mart. I asked 4 different employee's what the manager's last name was and nobody could tell me. They only knew him as Marvin. Not one person including the manager could tell me the policy either. It has been advertised on television time and time again.
This is false advertising. I asked the manager who they do a price match with and he said Kroger and thats our grocery store. And its a training issue when not one employee including the manager can tell you what the policy is. And a huge training issue when not one employee knows the manager's first and last name.

I saw it several times on tv that Wal-Mart will match any item from any store on black friday sale item. So i was looking for the best sale item on blu-ray players. The best one i saw was from K-mart. i made a copy of the item and went to the Cleburne Wal-Mart store.Showed the Assistant manger the copy of the Sony blue-ray for 179.00. I told her that i saw on tv where Wal-Mart would match any item from any store on sale black friday. she refused my request.Asked her if she would call the districk manager about it. being smart about it said yes. ask her if she wanted my name she said no. i told her well id try to call walmat she laughed and said go right ahead so i left.I think that if Wal-Mart puts that message on tv they should honor my request thank you.

I purchased an athletics works jacket size 2xl(50/52) today at the price of $20.00. The comparative jacket in size xl sells on the same rack for $15.00. I would like to know what justification [they] can give for the jacket I purchased to cost 25% more ($5.00) then the next size down.
Normally the cost would only be $2.00 more.

Recently, I took several coupons into this store that I had printed off the internet. The salesclerk could not find the expiration date, (it ended up being in tiny letters on the side), and she called the office and the person in charge said that coupons printed off the internet could not be used in your store. Is this true? If it is true, this is a bad policy and should be discontinued.

I called Customer Service to ask what the In-Store Policy about Walmart's "Right Price Guarantee".
I was told that I would have to call the store that I shop at to ask what Walmart's Policy is.... The Customer Service Associate refused to give me the policy or where on Walmart's Website to find the "Right Price Guarantee" policy.
I called the store & Mike C was not available and the person that works under him could not tell me Walmart's Walmart's "Right Price Guarantee" Policy.
Is there any state or National Law that requires National/ International Companies such as WalMart to post their Pricing policies??
Is there a "Scan Rite" Federal Law??I recommend that everyone go on Walmart's Website to e-mail FeedBack

Recently Walmart upped the price on a store brand item of theirs because of a demand they saw for the product. How do I know this? Because... I went in one week and bought 30 of their frozen pink lemonade concentrates for .88 each. (need for my daughter's wedding reception on November 15th to make the punch she requested). I needed 33 total so I just got what they had in the freezer.. which was 30. I went back the following week and they had raised the price to $1.08!! I hated it but I had to buy the other 3 at the price because I needed them for the punch. Turns out I got punched in the wallet. It sucked.
loss of money because they jacked up the price

I have visited this location numerous times, and the pricing that is displayed is always at least $5.00 less than what it scans. On occasions I have purchased multiple items and did not catch the price difference until I returned home to carefully review my receipt, then notice the price difference. When I return to the location, or contact by phone, I receive a too bad response. I have even been told that something was placed in the wrong location (with incorrect, much less pricing), because it was not enough room in the correct area.
On another occasion, I was told that I should have compared the micro sized numbers on the tag to the micro sized numbers on the box to determine if the price was correct. As a consumer, I should not have to do that. Items should be placed in the correct spot, with correct pricing.
Tonight, I visited this same store, and was told that something that had a display price of $9.97 was $20.00. When I asked why the display showed $9.97, the sales associate removed the price and walked away. When I addressed the issue with a supervisor, who in turn asked the sales representative if she saw the pricing in front of the item for $9.97 she said yes, but it should not have been there. He asked her were the sign was, and she took him to a TRASH CAN and gave him a sticker. How am I to know that what she gave him is what was on the display. Why trash it, if it belonged somewhere else.
As I was leaving the store, another customer was requesting a manager for the same issue for a different product. I feel that this location needs to be investigated, because hundreds of customers visit this location daily, and are being practically ripped off by the difference in pricing. So many people, such as myself expect what we see on the display is what we are going to pay.
Hundreds of customers visit this location daily, therefore, customers are practically being robbed with these price differences. This location, or the company should resolve this issue ASAP. The economy is bad enough. We should not get ripped off by apparent scams such as this.

On 10/31/08 I placed six pasta sauce jars into my cart taking special notice to the $1.50 shelf price. Upon checkout at the self-check out, all six of the pasta sauce rang up as $1.78. I was in hurry to leave that morning and did not contact a manager to alert him/her to this matter. This has happened to me on several occasions at Wal Mart.
The most recent price discrepancy prior to the above mentioned was concerning mouthwash. The pricing for a display of mouthwash in the center isle for a particular brand, type, and size was different (less than) than the identical mouthwash in the hygiene isle. I scanned the mouthwash from both the hygiene isle and center display and the price reflected the higher price. I used my iPhone camera to take a picture of the center display pricing.
At checkout I immediately asked for a supervisor and brought it to their attention. I did get the mouthwash for the lower price but it took an extra 15 minutes for the situation to get resolved. I did not have the extra time on my more recent shopping trip for pasta sauce. I can recall several incidents like this and I am frustrated by the whole process. Wal Mart should be held accountable in some manner!
In the particular instance of the pasta sauce I was charge $1.68 over what was displayed on the shelf. How many other times have I been charged over the displayed price and not noticed? And if this happens several times a day to tens or hundreds of consumers, what is the damage?

On Monday, November 2, I purchased two amaryllis bulbs which were marked $4 each. When I got to the register, they each rang up at $5. I also was shortchanged by the cashier because he didn't have 14 cents in change. So what did he do? He gave me 11 cents and said I owe you 3 pennies. I said, how about givng me 15 cents instead? He made me wait until a front end manager came to his register to open the register (of which s/he never showed up).
Today (November 3), in Powder Springs, GA, I bought two bottles of Walmart brand cranberry juice, of which was marked $2.50. When I checked out, the price was $2.56.
I was shortchanged $2.03 one night and .12 the next because of mismarked items.

i have been to this store on so many different occasions and i recently noticed that i was being overcharged by a couple of cents then on my second visit i was overcharged by 33 cents on my third trip also so i send a complaint to the store and i was told that they where going to address the problem well i went back to the store and there prices on the shelf rarely match the prices that the register rings up ...so i looked around and they had roll back price tags that said one thing and a huge sign with another price for the same item .

I have been purchasing motor oil for years from Walmart. When the price of crude was 140plus/barrel a 5 quart container of Pennzoil was priced at 997. When the price of crude started to substantially drop a month ago the price was increased to 13.50, then a couple of days ago rolled back 12.00. I don't understand the huge increase, now oil is less than 70/barrel. I can buy the oil cheaper by the quart from a local parts store.

I shoped Walmart, Framingham,Ma. and out of six items I was overcharged on two. Not much: but irritating.

For $1.99. I assumed that since Every WalMart in America has a Policy Statement hanging up when you walk through the door, that we will match ANY Competitors sales Price as long as it is the same product in question.
The US #1 Russet 10# Bag of spuds had no difference in wording or brand what so ever. Needless to say, I was told that they would not match the price because they couldn't take that kind of a hit on cost.To me they need to change thier wording on thier price matching policy or be sued for false advertisement.
This seems to happen more and more as our economy struggles.
I'm just an average Middle Classed JoeThat wants to take advantage of a cost savings when it is available.

wal-mart freehold store has lower prices on so many items.evertime i go there when i get to the register if you don't watch the price on the shelf is lower than the register price. today oct 2 2008. i bought 2 bottles of octane booster.shelf price 1.98. i used the self check out. the price for the octane booster was 4.50.i called the lady over, she said i will go check out the price. she comes back with the price tag from the shelf which says 1.98. she says look this is a different name brand. in tiny writing which i could not read without a magnifier was a different brand. i said i want my money back. in the return department i told the women this is a crime, the price is marked 1.98 there are no other bottles there but this brand, one is 1.98 and a stronger bottle, same brand is 6.95. the brand for the 1.98 bottle, which you cannot read is not on the shelf. i have had so many problems with the freehold store , i told them i would never shop there again, and i would spend a lot of money in this store. i am ****** off at wal-mart.

I went into the store to purchase 45 ct Zyrtec. The price at this store was $26.97. I just priced it a couple days ago at the Walmart on Wilmington Pk, Kettering,OH and it was $24.97. This is a much higher scale neighborhood than Xenia. It is hard to understand why the price is higher in Xenia, OH when this area is medium to low class. When I asked the clerk, why the difference? She said the price was based on neighboring businesses.
I had to make another trip to the other Walmart to save $2.00. Which is ridiculous at the price of gasoline.

When visiting the store this PM we saw in the school isle Roseart crayons 24 pkg. marked for 17 cents and also for 86 cents. After asking an employee to clarify the correct price she asked at the customer service desk. My husband was told and the employee came back to me and said since the price on the shelf (both had the same skew #'s) was 17 cents they would honor it, no limit. So we were instructed to bring the merchandise to the desk to be checked out. Because out community was looking for inexpensive items for Halloween for the children we decided we would purchase 144 boxes of 24 count to donate to the community.
After the first sales person checked us out she asked another gal for her number to put into the computer. When she saw that we were purchasing that amount she said in a raised voice I can't sell you that many for that price because I would be loosing to much money. she then called the manager and she asked him or told him she couldn't do it. When does the person at the customer service over ride the manager? She said she could sell us one at 17 cents but we had to pay full price for the rest. We DIDN'T purchase them.
When my daughter called back to the store and talked to Jeff she was told that the price had increased to over a dollar the beginning of the week. Told us if we wanted to come back to the store he could possible work out a deal of half price with us. By this time we were 7 miles from the store. When we returned home I called the Independence, Iowa store to ask what the policy and was told that I should have received one free and $3.00 off the rest of the purchase.
We do alot of business with Wal-mart but after being told differnt policy's or changes in prices etc I'm not sure if Wal-mart warrants our or any of our family's business. We teach our kids to be honest but it's okay for a corporation to falsely advertise! With todays economy, no wonder the we are in the predicament we are if businesses are allowed to act this way!

i own 3 dogs and 4 cats. i used to buy old roy dog food (store brand) and special kitty cat food (store brand also). over the last several months, the prices have risen dramatically. for example: 4 lb. bag of sk was $1.90 something. now its $4.08 and they have downsized the bag to 3 1/2 lbs. save money/live better, i dont think so if you are a pet owner on a fixed income.
i now buy a 50 lb. bag of ole yeller dog food at kroger for about $4.00 less than old roy at wm. i have also noticed that wm is deceptive in some of their rollback prices.

I purchase a cooler and I notice that after it rung up it was two different prices on it. I wanted the lower price which was 17.98 that was price a dollar less. I took it to customer service and told her it was price with two different prices. She said I could not get it for the lower price and ****** the tag off of it. I end of returning it because of her attitude. I thought you get the item at a lower price.

Out of 33 items purchased 4 were overcharged at the register: Betty Crocker Brownies shelf price $1.00 yet register price waS $1.54 (2 boxes purchased). Pepperidge Farm Garlic Bread shelf price $1.96 yet register price was $2.34. Bacon (don't remember brand-knockoff) shelf price $2.25 yet register price was $3.36. The cashier adjusted the 2 boxes of brownies after much encouragement by this consumer however she acted as if she didn't believe me on the shelf prices of the bacon and garlic bread.
She didn't offer to have anyone do a price check and the people behind me were becoming angry. I have my reciept where it clearly shows the register prices, brownie adjustments, and removal of the garlic bread and brownies. I will hang on to this.
I didn't get to purchase 2 of my needed items. I actually left and went to another grocery store to get the two items yet by them my ice cream and fudgicicles were melted.

Went to buy gold earrings I asked the price she turned them over and the price was 24.95. it was marked through with a ink pen and she checked on the register and it came back 28.95. I asked if that was not againts the law, to mark something up in price. I am a retailer and I know your suppose to sell what you have on hand and the next new things you get in you can put the new price on it. Not mark over it.
She made me fell teribble. she was smart mouth rude loud she then went over to the other worker and talked about us and were standing there. they took off the 24.95 sticker right in front of us. Is this not againts the Law?

On August 4, 2008, 11:00 pm, I got in line to check out. As the older lady started to ring up my items, I noticed 3 items that wrong up to be the wrong price. As I inform the clerk that the items were not the right price, she started to get mad and fustrated. At the time I started to get very angry because I've been waiting in line for about 15 minutes for them just to get a price check on the items. The people behind me were also starting to get very angry.
While waiting, the young man behind me went to the other lane but, return after the young clerk rudely told the young man that she weren't going to ring up anymore customers and that she will only be doing this for a minute or two. Quote this is not my job. After waiting in line for the last price check, something went wrong with the computer.
After waiting almost 45 minutes in line, the clerk, nor manager couldn't get their register to act right. After this I just got fustrated, angry and walked out.I feel that the head manager who came earlier didn't care about getting the problem solved. This is not the first time I have experienced this type of situation. This Walmart along with several others have poor customer service and wrong prices. The employees are rude. Plus everytime I go to this particular store they have old meat.
My main purpose for going to Wal Mart was to get food. I wasted the last of my gas for nothing. I was very emotional and upset due to the poor customer service and the wrong prices. What mad me mad most of all is the lady thought that I was lying about the prices being wrong, which mad me even upset.

I had purchased 2 sets of solar outdoor lights at a wal-mart in another town for 6.oo. When I got home I realized that I needed at least 2 more sets. The very next day I went to my local Wal-Mart with the recept for the lights and was told that they would not honor the price that I had paid for the others just the day before. The person in customer service said they don't honor comp ads. This wasn't a comp ad it was from a Wal-Mart.
Why does every store get to set differenat prices on the same product? I thought the motto was lowest price around or something.
So because I live and generally shop at a smaller Wal-Mart I have to pay the higher price? When I called the HOT line to complain the rep said each store can set their own price for each product.

apples(same code)lg.display $1.34 lb shelf price $1.54 lb...checkout price $1.54. Healthy choice sesame chicken (frozen)shelf price $1.50(with code & description on it)..checkout price $2.28. I got home & found the error. I called walmart customer service..she said bring receipt back for credit,I said I could not today..I said shelf price would be changed before I returned, so I guess I just return the product for credit.
No monster deal..it's just that you buy products because of the shelf prices. of all the products I purchased none were lower than the shelf price, only higher but most of us are trusting of such a large company. Now for me that trust is lost. I guess its back to the smaller stores for me.

Being a Senior citizen and on a really fixed income, I really depend on Wal-mart in Milford, Pa.,to do most of my food shopping. What really bothers me is this: Many times when an item is on sale, with the current price on the shelf, it always rings up at the before the sale price. I have had this happen numerous times. It may say $2.50 but will ring up as maybe $3.98 (for instance). This has happened so many times, I can't keep track. Don't they change their computers accordingly?
I think it is a way for them to sell things at a higher price, and the buyer may not catch it until they are at home and look at their receipt. Believe me, I pay close attention to what is being rung up. So many times I have had to go to customer service and get a refund.
Another gripe I have is this: So many times I go to buy something that I usually buy, only to find out that Wal-mart is no longer selling that item. It's not only food. I went to buy embroidery thread, and they told me they no longer carry this. Where else can I go to find this item? I can't travel too far. It is a real shame. I really feel that Wal-mart is not all that its said to be.
Another complaint is that 3 different frozen foods I went to buy were cut or split open! I guess whoever unpacks these for the freezer is not too careful with the razor blade. When I got home, my ice cream had a big slit cut through the top, letting air into it. With my vision the way it is, I did not notice this until I got home under better light. One good thing I can say, is that the personnel in this store are very friendly and have been helpful.

I went to the jewlery connter. The rings are in holders with cardboard prices on the right end. The ring had a visible price tag of 149.97. It was in the 200 row. The 150 row was right above so I assumed it was placed in the wrong row and it was 150. That is what it was marked. Why would I assume any different than the price on the item.
I went to purchase it and was told the 150 was the OLD price I had to pay the NEW price 200. I talked to Terry the manager and she informed me that it does not matter what the item is priced that they do not have to give it to the customer for that price. Their policy is to give you 3 dollars off. Making sure I am understanding her correctly I gave an example. I said if you have a shirt marked 10$ and it scans 15 you will give me 3$ off and i will pay 12$ but will not give me the price you are advertising it as being. She said yes.
According to her there is no law that a store has to give you the item for the price they have marked. It was not like it was a slap sticker that was altered and could have been from another item. I could see that. It was a tag attached to the item with a price sticker from walmart. It is also in a locked case. If this is the case stores can put any price they want on an item and charge what ever they want? does not sound like that could be right.

I went grocery shopping on 08/06/2008. The shelves looked like they hadn't been stocked in several days so there were things I couldn't get that I had planned on such as Cains coffee. I also picked up a cantaloupe out of a bin that said $1.99 as the price when I got to the register the cashier never spoke when she rang up the cantaloupe.
I told her that was the wrong price. She said that I had gotten an organic and that it was higher. When I went back to the bin I noticed that there were organics in the bin mixed with the other cantaloupes and I feel this was done on purpose to get people to pick up the organics instead of the cantaloupes onsale. If Walmarts was not the only store that sold Cains coffee I would never go back there.

i was in [Walmart] 3aug, and picked up a can of GV tuna under the tag that said 6oz GVTUNA, however the can was smaller, so i looked at it and it was FIVE ounces for the same price and when i spoke to the ass't mgr, jim, he doubted me so went to look at the sign, than went to make a phone call, than went to the front cust.svc desk and called some one AGAIN, than came back to me and said the 5oz is the same price as the 6oz.
didn't have a sign that said that and i really think that is deceptive advertising. it should be abit cheaper, y'think..... or have the sign corrected to say 5oz. star kist is doing the same thing and with the state of this nation the way it is, i don't need the little irritating problems. thank you

My husband and I went into Wal-Mart today to get our shopping done and buy a few odds and ends. On the way to the register we picked up some World of Warcraft game cards that we collect because they were marked at $3.97, thinking that was a great deal, we picked up two packs. When we got to the register though they rang up for $9.97. When we mentioned it to the very unfriendly cashier, Julia, she went to check the price and didn't return for about 3-5 minutes. In that time, we had time to read their policy on the register that clearly states if a product rings up for a different price than is on the shelf then we get it for the price that it is advertised for.
Well, she came back and told us that $9.97 was the correct price and that the vendors put the stuff up on the shelves so it's not their fault and too bad pretty much. We pointed out the policy and she shrugged and said she couldn't give us that price and offered to take the items off our transaction. Then she finished scanning up our items and rudely gave the receipt to my husband. Since there was a long line, we waited until after we paid to contact a manager.
We saw a manager (his nametag said he was the manager for the eyeglasses place but I didn't catch his name unfortunately) immediately after we paid for our items and pulled him aside to hopefully get the situation resolved. He asked my husband to show him where the product was and when he got over there the price had already been peeled off (by the cashier, presumably). I just wrote to Wal-Mart about it though I'm not really expecting any response to it nor do I think there's much else I can do. But I'm upset that they have policies clearly posted but don't hold up to them. Had we not been paying attention we would have paid $12 more than we were expecting to pay for a couple decks of trading cards.
The only economic damage will be that my husband and I will be shopping at a different store from now on even if it's less convenient to drive a few more miles so it's going to be more gas use for us and less money for Wal-Mart.

Yoyo pricing is a fact of life at the Wal-Mart in Cedar Falls, Iowa. My reason for sending a complaint is that customer service can't do anything about quality, selection, availability, or pricing; only to give your money back if dissatisfied; a poor, but efficient way for them and mostly inefficient for me. I may not want to drive out of my way to shop there, again.
Yesterday, I bought Philadelphia Cream Cheese, not needing any till next week. The price was .99 cents, a popular promotional price at Wal-Mart. Looking over my sales slip when I got home only to find a charge for $1.83. You'd think with a new Target being built next across the street, that they would pay a bit more attention to their current customers!
Price switching! Rip-off! Costly adjustment remedy.

I asked why I could not take all of them at the price of $2.50 and he said it was Wal-mart's policy that he could refuse sale to me even though they were clear marked at $2.50. I asked him for the written policy and Gary said he did not have it. I then took pictures of the frankfurters with my phone and a Wal-mart associate took them away. I insisted to see Gary again. I asked Gary for his name and Wal-mart ID number and he told me to call 1-800-walmart and refused to give me his ID number. I left Wal-mart feeling angry and upset. I was unable to purchase the items I wanted at the price they were clearly marked. I also felt belittled by the treatment I received from the Wal-mart associate named Coach Gary.

Walmart prices there products on sale at the store, but when you go up to check out, the price is higher, when you complain about it, the manager tells you it was a mistake. This is a constant happening at this Walmart. I checked several times to see if it was the same and each time it turned out the sale price was not honored

My wife and I have done alot of shopping at our local Walmart . One of the main things we buy is Purina Dog Chow . We started off paying 15.98 for a 50 lb bag and over time the price has gone up to 19.98 a bag . Now within the last month the price has now gone to 22.00 dollars a bag and is now only 40lbs . I have gone to sister store Sams Club in Pueblo, Co. a 20 minute drive from Canon City and can purchase a 55lb bag of Purina for 17.98. Walmarts comercials always brag about how they always roll prices back but that isnt the case here . Thankyou
Canon City is a smaller minimum wage town where good paying jobs are very scarce . When the price of everything goes up like dog food and our wages don't we are forced to shop else where for better prices when we shouldn't have to. I am the sole provider for a family of 6 so my wife and I have to search for better prices for most of our grocery needs .

I am getting sick and tired of Walmart. They advertised they are the lowest priced and guarantee such in big signs and advertisements. All this is is a SCAM to get people to shop there. I went in there today to do some grocery shopping and they wouldn;t match an ad for blue bell icecream that another store was selling at a cheaper price. the reason stated was that they would not match ads that stated a price needed with the store card. why guarantee that your prices are the lowest when they are not. WALMART has done nothing but drive the mom and pop shops out of business and then change their rules.
I will never shop there again and urge all people to really re-think shopping at walmart. Walmart claims they have the lowest prices and guarantee such but when you drive many miles to get there you find out different. they are playing on the minds of consumers and it should stop. I do want an attorney to call me.

Another Case of Walmart showing one price on the shelf and another at the cash register. There needs to be a class action suit against Walmart. This has happened to me four times in the last month with the same item. Each time employees were informed of the incident but nothing is being done. I'm not an attorney but this sounds like false advertising or fraud.

soda vending machine outside of westernmost entrance door of wal-mart store has 4 or 5 soda vending machines. none has prices shown so I fed a crisp one dollar bill into the machine closest to the store entrance, prssed the sutton to select green tea and did not get any product or warning of any sort. pressing other selections and a coin return button got no response or produc THERE WAS NO PHONE NUMBER OR NAME AND NUMBER POSTED TO REQUEST A REFUND. THE APPEARANCE and condition of these soda vending machines should have been a warning of negligence of their maint= enance. i want my dollar refunded please.
i lost my dollar to a defective vending machine. I wnat my dollar refunded please

This is to report a successful interaction with the Maryland Attorney's General office over differences between shelf price and scanned price at a local Wal-Mart (and a larger issue that this raises). On March 9, 2008 when shopping at the Elkton, Maryland Wal-Mart I was charged a much higher price for a bag of navel oranges than was marked in the produce section. A return to another part of the produced section for a separately priced bag of oranges resulted in a second overcharge at the checkout counter.
After considerable discussion with an obfuscatory floor staff, I decided to write a letter to the Maryland AG's office. The office quickly replied and sent a copy of the response to the Maryland Division of Weights and Measures. Within a week Weights and Measures made an unannounced price verification inspection at that Wal-Mart -- store #1860 -- finding a few overpriced and a couple of underpriced goods when checking one hundred items. Surprisingly, W&M sent a letter to me, saying the Division would continue random unannounced checks at that store.
Beyond this shelf-to-scanner issue of food price integrity is perhaps a more far reaching problem. I am wondering if FOOD PRICE GOUGING is a reality in this inflationary economy. Major food price hikes have come quickly, with little time for the market place to reach a consensus on reasonable rates of price increases. Heightened oversight could dampen any attempts to overcharge the American consumer at Wal-Mart or elsewhere. Yet, who will provide this oversight?

WALMART advertised a Sonny Blu Ray disc for $288.99. In store but if you bought the disc on line you would get a $100.00 free gift card. When I saw the charge for the disc $288.99 and a charge for $100.000. I ask for a refund and was told I could not get a refund.
I called my credit card company. Walmart said the free gift card was limited. But they never asked me if want to pay for a gift card. I was chrged $408.00. They said they could not refund the $100.00 because they package the deal together. This was suppose to be a free gift card.
I had to pay my credit card company an extra $100.00. I also had to wait 3 weeks for the disc. When ic ould bought in the store for and got it the same day for $288.99 Never again will I shop in Walmart.

On June 5, 2008 I purchased a Wal- Mart Visa Money Card for 108.94 as a gift. The cashier never told me that the activation number was on the bottom of the receipt, there fore I didn't keep it assuming that the card had been activated at the register. This was not the case. I've talked with customer service at both Wal-Mart and the card issuer and both are telling me there's nothing they can do. I've done some research on the web and discovered that many more have had this same problem. Surely they can't just keep my $108.94 can they?

I researched car seats online and decided on the Graco Nautilus at Walmart.com which was $127.44. I made a special trip 30 miles away to purchase this carseat at a particular Walmart because it was not available any closer. When I got to the store the price was $149! I had an associate paged to the area to explain the pricing and no one ever showed up. The department manager at a difference Wal-Mart (on Campbell Ave.) didn't understand why the walmart.com price differs from the in store price, but that's just the way it is. We are going on vacation soon and don't have 7+ days to wait on site-to-store shipping.
I even called the corporate headquarters in Arkansas to explain the situation and was told that walmart.com is a seperated entity. What? She preceded to get hateful and rude with me and even questioned how long I had been planning my trip and implied I should have tried to purchase the seat sooner! I told her how long ahead I planned my vacation had nothing to do with it. I just found the seat online this past week! I told her I would be buying the same carseat from Toys R Us on July 4 with a $20 Toys R Us coupon which would make the seat $130 and I can just walk in and buy it on the spot instead of purchasing it from Wal-Mart.
Isn't this false advertisement? With gas being $4/gallon I wasted 1/4 tank traveling 60 miles to purchase a product that was advertised at a specific price but was not available for that price when I arrived at the store.

One June l,2008 I purchased a 5 piece patio dining set for $297 - on June 23 (this date) I noticed that the same set was on sale for $197 _ I went to Customer service for price change and was told that price changes was only good for 7 days - I was also informed that in order to get a price change I had to bring the item to the store for a refund and I could purchase the item again at the new sales price. I understood this, however, please bear in mind that this was a very large item and the fact that I am 81 years old and drive a small car, this procedure proved to be a problem.
I asked my neighbor if he would help me return this purchase and I had to pay him $25 for him to use his vehicle and GAS. I do understand that you have to make policies and that they must be adhered to, however, this happened to be an extenuating circumstance. I had to use 2 stockmen and their carts and their time to bring the purchase into the store, I could have purchased a brand new patio set still in the boxes instead the stockmen had to bring the set back to the truck for me to return home, by this time I am exhausted and my blood pressure is out of control, why did'nt a representative just look in our truck and check the fact that everthing was as it should be, in fact why did,nt a representative just hve me bring in the cushions??????or something a lot easier than what I had to experience.
Extreme exhaustion and out of control blood pressure

Yesterday, June 20, 2008, my teenage son had been saving to buy an X box game priced at $30.00. He had his money in hand and when he took it to the register it rang up at $63.92. The sales person sais I must have rung it up twice she checked and said no, that is how much it is then promply turned around and pulled ther $ 30.00 price tag off the display!
I believe this is misrepresentation. It is no point complaining at this Walmart. so I figured I would try this route. I would like to know what if anything I can do about this. Thank you

I own a small buisness and shop for myself ,family ,buisness ,and others.I bought several cases of paper towels and it was posted as $1.68 per pack. When I got to the register it was $1.74.All together it was $1.20 over what it was suposed to be.I talked to the manager and the cashier ,but neither helped.I caled WalMarts corporate office and told them I was going to call the Better Buisness Bureau.I will never shop at WalMart again.
No damage to me ,but I feel cheated and stole from.

Wal-Mart has a price matching policy, that I feel they choose to honor when it helps them. I recently saw an item on Radio Shack's website, claiming to be an in store only purchase. But they gave me the following story as to why they could not honor the web-based ad. "We wont be bale to honor that ad. It is an online ad and we dont comp those. Also, it was a special by for that company that we wouldnt be able to do obviously it is negotiations point with radio shack and the supplier, and they also advertised very limited quantities So it will be tough for us to accommodate their negligence really." Is he telling me that Radio Shack has better negotiation tactics than Wal-Mart? I think not, I think they don't want to take a $150 markdown on an item.

your computer generated bar codes do note match the reduiced price on the product. (flower shop) Marked #3.00 and charged $5.95 each. (x2)

I purchased 9 items of the 9 items 5 items did not have the correct price scan. The brought to the cashiers attention she stated it would stop the line and take up time.
an overcharge of at least $1.50. This can have a detrimental affect on some individuals due to the current economy if many items are purchased.

Went into Electronic Dept to purchase a Pre-paid phone choose a phnone for the price of 14.84 or 14.97 ask the cashier if she could unlock WALMART'S safety device because I wanted to purchase the phone. She took the phone to the cash register and rang up my purchase. THE PRODUCT WALMART STAFF PLACED ON THE SHELF PRICED AND SERCURED AT $15 (it was a few cent less $14.84 or $14.97) WAS NOW RINGING UP AS $99.87
there was three of these phones stock in the same place I got my phone from workers started to take stock the phones in the correct spot. She called for Management when the assist Manager came she stated they could only take $20 of $99.87. At that time I told her that it was their mistake and they should honor the price THAT THEY (MEANING WALMART) PLACED IT ON THE SHELF AS 15$ AND SOME ODD CENTS (after taxes).
I've called 1-800 Walmart twice while addressing the problem. They gave me The Store Manager and District Manager's phone numbers. I would like to know if there are any laws on the books that would address this issue. It's about doing the right thing.

Recently the city of Sterling, CO has announced that our drinking water has levels of uranium above the standards set by EPA and suggested we use another source of drinking water. Prior to the announcement, the Wal-Mart here sold case of 4 gallons of drinking water for $2.04. Single gallons sold for $0.68.
I went to Wal-Mart Saturday May 3rd,2008 to buy cases of drinking water as I had done for over 2 years I have lived here. The price under the cases on the self reflect the $2.04 cost, however, when I got to the register, was told by the clerk and by the manager on duty both that they no longer sell the water by the case. I did point out it was priced that way on the self, but they refused to sell the water by the case.
Since everyone here is now buying water to drink, and we are a small town with limited stores, I feel they have made this adjustment as a means of soaking the community for extra revenue. I think this is taking advantage of a community that is already suffering. Many can't really afford to buy drinking water, but have no choice. The few extra cents mean a lot to them. Thank you for listening.

I picked a couple of K cereal bars in Walmart, Quincy. The price on the box was 1.98 but the cashier rang in 3.50. When I pointed it out to her, she went to make a phone call to someone then came back telling me that she's only a cashier and go with whatever price the machine listed, then she proceed with other items. A man in the Walmart uniform stopped by. When the cashier briefted him the issue, he said 'someone sticked the wrong price on the box'. I said to him that not just that box, I have another box with the same price. He still insisted that I have to 'pay the price in the machine, not on those boxes'.
I've asked to see the manager, they told me to go to customer service. When I told Debbie at customer service, she said, with an unpleasant voice, that 'I can give you 1 box'. No apologize. I indicated to her that other stores such as Stop&Shop or Shaw would have give customers the item for free if the price tag were incorrect, but that's not what I'm looking for. I just want those boxes of cereal and what to pay the price labeled on the box. She said each store is diff. I've asked for the manager but she ignored me. Isn't that illegal practice?
Just so that you know, this isn't the 1st but the 3rd time it happened to me, and very single time I've got that kind of 'so what', 'who care' attitute from cust serv person! I don't shop here often, (2-3 times a year), even though it's only a few miles away for that reason. I hope no one has to thru what I've been, especially those innocent elderlies.

i went into walmart to look for a pair of gloves and went back to the shoe deept. and asked the rep. that worked back there, I know you have gloves in 2 different spots and 1 is in the hard ware and i cant remember where the other spot is? She then suggested that i go over to the mens apparrel, so i did. When i got over there i noticed that there was a bunch of different gloves that had been priced wrong the tag on the rck said they were $2.96 and the tag on the gloves said that they were $9.46 so i took a pair of gloves up to the sevice desk cpounter and asked the clerk up there if i could get a price check , so she did.
I had no problems what so ever with her so the store manager started getting rude with me telling me that was wrong and didnt evev call the mens dept. to verify or anything. sothe rep. called back there and sure enough the gloives were $9.46sio i said ok and walked out of the builing, and headed towards the bus stop.I made it about 50' outside the builing and the store manager chased me down and outside in front of everybody he started accusing me of changing price tags and/or shoploifting.
there was no physical damage other than the confrontation in front of all the other patrons that were outside of walmart @ the same time that i was. it was quite an embarressing time for me.

In the oil filter dept, they had a sale tag in front of the original price tag and sale tag said it was $9.97 now $7.97 but original price tag said $7.97. So how can it be a special when the original tag said $7.97? Very miss leading thinking that it is on sale but it is not on sale

i wanted to buy a bike trailer for my 2 daughters.it had a sticker on it that said $77.67 when they rang it up it said 88.00.the cashier called for a csm.they told us we couldn't have it for 77.67 because my wifes is an associate there and shes with me.they pulled the 77.67 off the box.
my wife told them she didn't want it for 88.00.i went back in and got the last one from the shelf with the same stickers on it.i took it straght to the service desk and asked why i couldnt have it myself for 77.67 im not an employee there and my wifes not with me.they said its there policy not to do price overrides for any members of an employees families because it takes away from their benefits,my wifes been there 2yrs has no benefits.and we spend 1/2 our weekly income there for groceries because they ran every business pretty much out of our area.and this whole deal has put my wifes job in jeapordy because we stood up for what they are doing to people thats just wrong.
i ended up paying 11.00 over what i rightfully should of.and my wife could get fired.

Walmart lists item number 000550652 (PS3 Sixaxis Controller) online for $39.88. One option is to find it in a store, with the other two options being, ship to your house or ship to the store for pickup. I choose the option to find it in a store and it listed that item as being in stock at a Walmart about 8 miles (twenty minute drive) away.
I went back to electronics and found the item but noticed it was priced at $49.98. I asked the employee if he could scan the item and he said it wasn't necessary because $49.98 was the correct price. I explained that I had looked up the item online and it was a lower price. He then pulled up the Walmart website and confirmed I was correct. He informed me that I could go home and order the item online and could then pick the item up at the store, if I wanted to get it for $39.88. Otherwise, I would have to pay the $49.98 price.
I then went to customer service for some clarification and the customer service employee stated that she didn't know how the online/in store pricing worked. I then talked with a customer service manager (Stacy) and she was equally confused by the policy. She stated that I should just go order the product and then pick it up at the store. I informed her that I had already driven twenty minutes and that they had plenty of this item in stock right now. She stated that the warehouse would send in one for me and that is why I would have to go and order it. I explained, it would be the same item they currently have in electronics and she again informed me that she really didn't understand how it worked.
I then asked to talk to another manager but he (Scott Co-Manager) was too busy or didn't want to come up to see me. He related to her that if I wanted that price, I would have to go and order it. I explained several times that one of the options listed on the Walmart.Com site was to find this item at a store. The only price listed was $39.88 and that if that price was not going to be honored in store, it should state that clearly on that page.
I then called 1-800-Walmart and talked with Tammy. Tammy didn't seem to understand the online/in store pricing either but stated that the online and in store prices aren't always the same. I explained as a customer, if I use the find it in a store option, I expect the price to be the same as what was listed by the find it in a store option. I feel like I was tricked in to coming to the store only to be told I need to go back home and order it, or pay the higher price. After looking at the website in more detail, on another page, in small print there is some mention that prices online may not be the same as the instore pricing. However, this is not listed clearly where the find it in a store option is and so it is very misleading. Clearly, they need to list that prices online may be different than in store and to call prior to visiting the store. Of course they won't do this though, because they want you to go to the store.
20 Minutes each way driving to the store. 30 minutes in store trying to get an explaination as to why the price was not honored in store. 10 Minutes on the phone with Walmart customer service. I feel that a find it in store option that has a price listed online, should be honored in store. Clearly this is misleading and is a tactic to get people to visit the stores.

Walmart in Holly Springs is a JOKE! They make their own rules as they go.. for instance Walmart says they honor all competitors' ads. Well in Holly Springs, they honor them when they feel like it. For instance, recently I took an ad there, it said Pork Sirloin Chops, I found Walmart it said Sirloin Chops in Big Black Letters. My ad price was 79 cent per lb, their price was something like $3.50. The cashier went to 1 person and asked about taking it and they said yes, then she went to another and they said yes, she kept on until she finally found someone that said no...the reason I was given was ours is boneless, my competitor ad DID NOT say boneless or bone just Pork Sirloin Chops. They refused to honor it. They do this all the time! Today they wouldn't honor one for beef roasts. Then they ended up giving me a receipt that had a place for me to take a survey! The workers are incredibly rude, I asked a worker to call someone to cut me some material one day and she refused! I go 60 miles to shop now.

I purchased a VFlash/Car at $49.96 on Dec. 8. Yesterday I noticed an ad from ToysRUs with the same car on sale at $39.99 and this was a special sale for two days ending at noon today. At 10:00 AM this morning I went to Walmart with my receipt and the ad and was told in order to get credit for that price I would have to purchase the said article on the date of sale. I feel I'm entitled to the difference of $49.96 (Walmart) versus $39.99 Toys R Us price. I originally purchased said article on 12/8 and have all necessary receipts and the ad, please let me know what to do. I'm really upset about this because I had called in advanced and was originally told as long as I had my receipt and the ad I would receive credit. I made a special trip to the store to be be rejected.

I am an avid shopper of Walmarts around the area. WalMart has been doing price comparisons for at least 14 years as for as I can remember, since my 14 year old was a baby. This form of coupon clipping has save me much on may many purchases at Walmart. But for at least the past year or so, I have notice what I call deceptive practices at Walmart. I have notice that when one store has a sale item, the particular Walmarts I go to have been removing products from shelves, coolers and other parts of the store. I have ask at least four managers; that is how many have come and gone as for as I can remember. I have called corp. offices who said they would call back and never did. I called managers and the phone just rang. I complained to store managers and they claimed that there was none in stock or that none was ordered.
Today was a total lost of gas and time. I was blantenly refused items on sale today. I was trying to explain to them that I know what is going on, and then was refused service. I felt totally humilated especially, being someone that shops and spends at least $300.00 a month with this chain.

On 11/28/07 @ 5pm, I went into Walmart to price LCD computer monitors. I had priced a few on Walmarts website and was looking to see if they had a particular one in stock that was advertised on the website for $158. I was surprised when I did find the exact monitor that was on the website however it was priced at $168 (they didn't have a floor model or a shelve marked with the price, the price was marked on the boxes, all 5 in stock).I do know that sometimes the price online will differ some from the actual price in the store but when we got to the checkout the moniter rang up for $227.
I went back to the shelve to double check against the sku numbers and to recheck to make sure there was no other labels that might have been misplaced. I work in retail and know these things happen. I found a widescreen monitor from the same manufacturer and found the box for those and the the price was $227 however that was not the monitor I was trying to buy nor were the sku numbers the same. The associate called the assistant manager to the register who looked at the box and the price and said NO, The price is what it is ringing up I don't know what to tell you.
After I explained to him that the sku numbers also didn't match he said well all I can do is give you $3 off the price that is coming up. I asked him if that was the best he could do and he replied YES THAT IS THE BEST I CAN DO BECAUSE IT'S STORE POLICY!. I asked him if there was a way he could check on the prices for me he said NO I CAN'T! I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE FOR YOU!
I ended up walking away to go back to the moniters again and I found another associate removing the price tags from the boxes. I was upset and left mostly because this is not the first time something like this has happened at Wal-Mart.

I spent hours waiting for the Black Friday sale at WalMart in Danbury CT. From 11pm till the doors opened at 5am, with one goal in mind, to buy the 398.00 laptop for my sons christmas present. When we get to customer service, we were told that there were never any laptops delivered to the store for the Black Friday sale-even though it was advertised? The store hid the tables for the items through out the store, so to make it difficult for people to find the items advertised. What a nightmare! They did have the desk top system as advertised, but we wanted the lap tops not the desktops.
This was a ploy to get people in the store and to spend more money on different items, and absolutely smells of false advertising. Shame on WalMart, I think Target will be getting the bulk ofmy business from now on. You can also bet, that I am filing a complaint with the Connecticut Attorney General and the BBB.

On November 21 2007 I received a mail flyer stating that Walmart had a 42 Polaroid HDTV for $799 available from 5 to 11 am on November 23 2007. I went to visit walmart on November 22 to see if they had one on display. I asked a person that worked there near the TV's if they had one on display. The person said no they are in the back and they will bring them out on Friday morning and they have plenty of them She continued to state that I should take advantage of the 18 months interest free financing, but I had to apply for the walmart credit card and it would take just five minutes. I applied for the Walmart credit card so I could buy the TV.
I show up on Friday morning at 4:30 am November 23 to purchase the TV. When I got there I could not find any. I looked real hard and I finally found 8 of them. I told my friend Greg that they have only a few and that I was going to wait in line near them. When they let people grab the merchandise, 4 people grabbed the 8 tv's and I was left with out one.
I told the employees there about this problem and they said too bad and there is no lay aways. I know Walmart used unethical practices to deceive me in to getting me to sign up for credit. They did this in hopes I would use the credit anyway on something else. Thats is not the case. I only wanted the TV for the advertised 42 HDTV deal.
What I suffered is five hours of hassle, a credit card I will not use, a credit check that reduces my credit and costs me the next time I need credit, and no TV.

I went to Walmart in Boynton Beach Florida and I used 2 checks to purchase some groceries. One check totaled 22 dollars and the other totaled about 73 dollars and some change. Both checks bounced on me, although I didn't know this until I was finally contacted by Walmart. There were funds in the account but Walmart had inputed the checks into their cash register incorrectly. Telecheck took over the checks and charged me $25 fee for the small check and $30 for the big check. My bank, NYC MCU in New York stated that they would refund the bounced check fees if I got proof of the fees that were charged by Telecheck, but so far Telecheck has refused to provide evidence of any fees that they charged me, only sending a form letter stating that I do not owe any checks to anyone.
I was charged $55 in bounced check fees even though the checks never bounced and was a bank error or a Walmart error.

I went to my local Wal-Mart to look for some badly needed brakefluid and I thought oh my gosh they have a gallon of brake fluid for only $1.07 (so clearly marked) so I grabbed it out of the twelve containers on the shelf. When we went up to the lines and waited for about 30 minutes and finally got to the front when the brakefluid rang up for $9.97 when I questioned the price the cashier tried to reach the car department 3 times and no answer. Then she called the manager on duty, the manager went back and looked and came up front to tell me it was clearly marked for something else.
I left without the product then I called back later and spoke to the store manager and she informed me that people put products down where they don't belong at times. When I questioned her on the twelve other gallons there she said that it must have been clearly marked for something else when I told her that we went back to the aisle to look it was clearly marked if you got on the ground and really studied the price she came back with what do you want?
I told her that this wasn't the first time I've had problems with this store and that I will drive the extra 10miles to go to KMART she said Fine Whatever. I can't believe that I was treated this way by a STORE MANAGER.

i was in the store on 02-26-07 and done my shopping i also got 9 small plants for 88 cent each when i went to check out the cashier charged me for 13 when she saw she hed chadged too much she took 2 off which leaved 11 so i told her she still charged too much she saw where she had made a mistake so she went to customer service and came back and told me thr receipt was right. it is not the dollar or so when i told her it was not right and i would not come back to wal-mart she said well if thats why you wont be back thats your loss.

I went into Wal-mart to buy a fish aquarium. I loaded the big, heavy box in a cart and went to the express lane. When the girl scanned it, it was twice the price on the sign. I told her that and we had to wait several minutes for someone to do a price check.
Then the manager came back and said that the sign was attached to the wrong product. I asked if I could have it for that price, and they said no. I argued with them, but they wouldn't give in, so I left that big heavy aquarium, which took up the whole counter, on the register and walked out. Then I bought my aquarium at Petco.
I don't shop at Wal-mart any more. Their signs are wrong a lot of the time and their employees are very rude. Once I had to ask three different employees where an item was before someone would help me. The first just said, I don't know! and walked off, and the second one smarted off to me: It's on the other side of the store, idiot!
