Post-Holiday Letdown

Mikalyn of Roanoke, IN (12/3/05) On 12/30, my mother gave me a "20% on any purchase of $30 or more" Victoria's Secret coupon from the newspaper. Even though I had previously said that I would never to go back into this store, this offer was too good to be true.

I arrived at the store on the 30th and proceeded to shop until I found a bra that I really liked. I went up to the counter and gave them my coupon and my bra. They rang it up and my total was $42 plus tax, I didn't realize that they didn't add in the discount until right after I had signed. The lady at the counter told me that the coupon was a misprint and that they could not honor it. Then she told me that I couldn't return my purchase, even though I was standing right in front of her.

The employees in that particular Victoria's Secret are very rude.

Kristin of Richardson TX (5/20/04):
I placed an order over the internet that cost a total (including tax and shipping) of $207.42, and I received $30 off because the order was over $150. So I paid a total of $177.42. Well, one dress that cost $25 was the only thing that fit right, so I sent everything else back. So, I figured I would receive a return of anywhere from $140-$150. Imagine how surprised I was when I only received $123.

I thought, "no problem, must be simple mistake. I will call customer service and get this straightened out." Well, come to find out when you return something from victoria's secret and your final purchases that you keep fall below $150, then they keep the $30 discount that they gave. This totally infuriates because in essence I have paid $55 for a $25 dress. They have stolen $30 from me. I am so mad. I will never order anything from them again, or step foot in one of their stores.

Mya of Mount Pleasant NC (9/27/03):
Victoria's Secret sometimes has their special offers that attract many of their clients to order a huge amount of merchandise all at once. I am one of them. For example, if you buy $100 worth, you get $30 off your order. The next one up for $250 worth and $75 off is the one I usually do. This makes your actual merchandise that you order basically discounted. For example, if the boots you ordered were $60, you probably really paid $30.

This has created so many problems with me when something doesn't fit and I have to send it back for an even exchange. At least on six different orders, I have been double charged or have lost my whole special offer and handling fees. I sent a pair of shoes for an even exchange one time for the amount of $60. Instead of doing an excnage like I requested, they refund a few bucks back to my card and make a whole new order where I am now being charged for the new item in full at $60 plus shipping, without even making me aware.

One time, I sent a package with two separate exchanges inside individually wrapped, but in the same box. They said they received one, but not the other! How can that be? They have made so much money of messing up my orders. Not to mention, their representatives are total twits. They certainly know about the special offer when you are making the order, but when you have already spent your money, they don't know what you are talking about!

There were some orders that I had to pay for that I never received. There were some orders that I was double charged, and some that I returned but never got the refund for.
