Negative Option: When No Means Yes

VistaPrint's business cards are fine but from what we hear, VistaPrint has a nasty habit of herding their customers into MWI's fleecing arena. The company says it's just not so.

Kimberly of Dillsburg PA (01/02/09)
i have never heard of VistaPrint until I received a package in the mail addressed to some unknown name but the address was mine from them. I tried to call VistaPrint to find out how to return the package to no availe since I could not provide them with an account number. I finally opend the package to discover they were blank business cards.

I also discovered that they was a charge for 9.15 on my charge card, and also a 99 cent charge from York Photo, again a company a had never heard of or done business with. My bank immediately closed my account. I honestly feel that if I had not closed my account I contiue to get these bogus charges from these scam companies. Anybody need any blank business cards???

Hello all! I just wanted to add my comments to the long list of complaints regarding VistaPrint's service. I have to say that I have been pleased thus far with the service that I have received. However, due to my background in credit card disputes, I need to mention a few things to help those who have either received multiple transactions on their card that they did not authorized or for those who have placed orders but have never received them. First and foremost you have a valid chargeback especially if you have attempted to resolve the issue(s) with the merchant. Your next step is to contact your bank or card issuer and state that you would like to file a dispute for the transactions that many of you have mentioned. You will have to fill out some paperwork and submit and the bank will do the rest.

For those who were charged more than once, your dispute regulation would be considered "not authorized". For this you usually have to merely state this and sign. For those who have not received the products ordered, make sure that you know exactly when the order was due to arrive, all correspondence you may have had with the merchant to resolve and note any due dates the merchant may have mentioned after your attempts to resolve. I also wanted to note that for those who were charged twice or more....that is not usually an on purpose ploy....that's usually a system glitch which usually has to go through the chargeback process to rectified and accounted for correctly on everyone's books. With that, again, my service has been fair and I hope that what I've shared will cause a lot of people to calm down and handle the situations appropriately without spending unnecessary money on a lawyer on a simple claim. Thanks!

I have been ordering from Vista Print for about 6 months now. I have NEVER experienced any problems with them whatsoever! I have an awesome website, professional business cards, and more customers because of their awesome products and services. If you read the fine print when you get the Free website, you will see that they will begin charging after the first month. Cancel if you don't want anymore charges! Also, don't sign up for the special offers at the end for 10 off. If you read the fine print on that as well, you wouldn't need to be complaining! Come on people...be realistic...they aren't just taking your money. You signed up for something and regret doing so.

I made a purchase on 04/23/08 with Vista Print. Startng in May, 2008 I noticed that 14.95 was being deducted from my account. I complained to Vista Print on 10/07/2008 that I had not authorized them to deduct this. Natasha at Vista Print assured me that any monies decucted up to that point would be returned. As of today 12/31/08 they are still taking 14.95 every month since May.

They now have 119.60 of my money.

I called Vista Print with a valid complaint that the product they sold me was defective. I purchased 4 large door magnets and one of them was defective in that there was a permanent crinkle at the top right edge of the magnet which prevented it from laying flat against the door thus allowing rain and air to penetrate the underneath of the magnet and reduce its holding ability not to mention that it looks like a poor quality product. I was satisfied with the printing part of the magnet. In the 4 magnets they sent me, only one is defective.

I did business with vista print for a long time, never had a problem until my friend who let me use his credit card only once, keeps being charged 4.99 a month for NOTHING NOTHING at all. What I ordered was paid for once and should not have been charged again and again. I couldn't believe it until my friend showed me his bank statement. I will not use Vista Print again. I hate to get a lawyer over a small thing like this but they just keep doing it over and over. Good by VistaPrint, you have lost me.
