QVC

Beth of Traverse City, MI May 12, 2005

I used my QVC Card until late 2001-not at all since then. My credit reports all stated that the QVC account was open. I called QVC to request they close it. They said, due to inactivity, it was now being handled by Monogram Bank. They gave me a number which I called and was told they sent it to Levitz, and they gave me the number. I called Levitz-was told they gave it to Household Finance, and I called the number Levitz gave me.

Household acknowledged having my QVC account but refused to close it or purge it from their system unless I sent them a copy of my credit report. I said I couldn't possibly do that-hence the standoff. It's almost three months since my first call to QVC. The ONLY thing they acknowledge is Household Finance holding QVC Accounts-they don't know about any other companies. I told them that I was never told that my account, active or inactive, was sold to a finance company who then sold it to Levitz who then sold it to Household. They said they don't sell account information.

I then told them that my credit reports are excellent, but I need help/information about these other companies to get my info purged. They refuse to help. I asked them if their customers knew what happens to information given when applying for a Q Card. Things went further downhill, and that's where it stands. The latest info on the credit report shows Gemb/QVC as holding my account but their phone number is no longer in service.

QVC said they don't know anything about it. Please, can someone find out if QVC is allowed to transfer account information, and then later if there is a problem, deny any involvement? It's MY information out there floating around from company to company, all because of QVC. Thank you so much.

I placed an order which was charged to my credit card. I received the order, but it did not fit so I followed the directions for return and returned the items in the envelope, using the label provided. I did not receive a credit on my credit card, but I was told it would take up to 6 weeks to process. It is now 8 weeks later and QVC claims that they never received the package. Unfortunately I did not insure the package. When I spoke to the claims department at my post office he could not verify that my package was delivered, but said that he sees a termendous amount of QVC claims.

I ordered a Boflex XLT with leg attachment on 11/14/03 from QVC. It was to be at my house no later than 10 days, being delivered by UPS. I was charged over 1,100 for this product, before it was "shipped". When I checked the tracking number provided by UPS, the website indicated "billing information was received from the vendor". I checked with UPS and was told to contact QVC. I contacted QVC (over four times with this one order)and the first thing I was asked each time was "do you want to cancel your order and receive a refund".

Finally I was so fustrated, I agreed to cancel the order. Now mind you, UPS has yet to show up with the order and this is 15 days since I ordered the product. I reordered the Boflex machine on 12/2/03, and even paid extra for the shipping. Two days later UPS shows up at my door to "collect the order for return" to QVC. I have experienced the same problem with this order (with QVC and UPS). I still do not have the order, and no one can tell me where it is.

QVC takes no responsibility (all they can ask is if I want a refund) and UPS says contact QVC. I have experienced poor customer service in the past, but this is the most appa1ling, given the status of our economy and the rough times business' are facing. You would think both QVC and UPS would offer to track down my order, especially when I tell them I am willing to work with their company. Again, all I get is "do you want to cancel your order and contact QVC".

What is more upsetting is the money, time and effort I have put into trying to buy a product and support the economy, which means nothing. As a consumer and customer of QVC and UPS I feel they do not care about service, it's just what you can sell, take the money and get away with. This is not the end to this saga, as I still am trying to work with QVC and UPS to get my second order filled. I've only had to contact them six times on the second order.

On my credit report it still shows for QVC when it was with Monogram Bank a balance owed. The account was paid in full. I have contacted QVC to change their records with no luck, I keep being told it must have been Monogram Bank.

I have a memb# and pin # and they are not suppose to put anyone else's charges on my account. They put 1,348.06 of charges on my qvc charge card. they would not put this in dispute and were asking me to make 600.00 payments, so i paid this off. when i discovered the charges in jan of this year i called and they told me they could see where they were not my charges, and then from then on i have not had any thing done. the member number they put on my account happened to be my daughters.

she has her own member # and pin #. when you call to order you have to punch in your memb# and pin#. we would be at each others home from time to time and would order. in order for things of hers to be put on my account it would have to be my memb#. and my pin #. they are telling me that if it was someone else's number they would reimburse me, but since it was a relative they will not. i told them it was there system that made this error and i want to be reimbursed and for the finance charges they charged me. they are saying it looks like they will not do that. i need some help to resolve this.

when i got my account several years ago i asked if anyone else could put charges on my account and they said no as you have to put in your memb# and pin # for your protection. this is an error in their system and now they do not want to take responsibility for their error. i have told them i will file a lawsuit if necessary, but would rather not have to resort to this if i can prevent it.

i would appreciate any help you can give me. a few months ago i received a package that was addressed to me but was empty and had another memb # and info. on a order sheet in the box and when i called them they could not tell me how this happened. this shows that they have a problem with their system. her memb # was on the slip.

Pamela of Des Moines, IA August 9, 2001

Recently, I ordered several items from the QVC television shopping network. I had assumed that all the items would be shipped at one time. Instead, each item was shipped seperately, and I was charged shipping for each item individually. One item was a cosmetic brush, for which I was charged 2.95 in shipping costs.

I returned it, and the shipping cost was 0.90. Several items from the same order did not arrive - the wrong address had been applied to some items, but not others. I had no way to remedy the situation, the items were returned to the company via post, and I was told that I would show a refund on my credit card in ONE to TWO billing cycles.

Janice of Murrieta, CA May 8, 2001

My ex husband and I had excellent credit with QVC until our divorce. We were both on the credit account together. We both asked for separate accounts and they denied my request and accepted my ex-husbands though his income is far less than mine as well as his assets and his debts are higher. The only reason I can attribute this to is sexism when the male is usually considered the primary and the spouse does not have equal rights to assume credit. I have complained based on sexual discrimination and my complaints are completely ignored.

Felicia of Roseto, PA August 30, 2000

I applied for a QVC card and was approved, Ireceived a card, and order a few items, which I recieved. When I went to order some more and checked my account it wasn't accurate. When I received notices from QVC that they couldn't give me my items the amounts of the items were wrong. Then all of a sudden I recieve a letter from Monogram Bank stating that you took my account away because you couldn't verify my address. I have other credit cards in this address, even though I have my old address on my credit report. Why did this happen and why did it take you so long to notify me,and why did you approve me for the card ????
