Back in December of 2007, I sold a phone on Ebay and the buyer sent me the money and everything was good. The phone was in excellent condition because it was exchange from T-Mobile. The buyer was so happy and gave me a positive feedback and even left me a comment that the phone was brand new.

A week later she said that it wouldn't show anything on the scren and she wanted her money back. I contacted t-mobile and they told me that most likely the person dropped the phone or the phone got wet. I told the buyer to send me the phone and I would refund money, she never did that. So why should I pay Paypal 208.67 and let the person keep the phone too. The phone was in excellent condition. Why should I pay the buyer for messing up the phone.

Now I have a collection agency threatening me. GC Services collection agency

I opened an Paypal Buyers Credit account last year just before Christmas. Have always paid on time and even paid it off every few months. I had it paid off to use for Christmas and went to use it this week and couldn't get my purchase to go through. I went to the site to check the account and found my limit had been dropped from 500 to 100 which was still well about the amount of my attempted purchase. I had received no notification that it was going to be changed, in fact had just gotten a statement showing the 500 amount.

I called to ask them why even though based on other complaints was pretty sure that they would say based upon my report they had to change it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was given the same lame excuse. I told her I didn't see how that could be. I had raised my credit score almost 200 points and corrected other issues on my credit reports since the account was opened with them. The supervisor said that it wouldn't matter if I had excellent credit, perfect payment history etc they looked at all my accounts including ones with available balances that I wasn't using to determine what I should have with them. Since I now have accounts with other people even though they aren't maxed out, paid on time and I pay more than the minimum they were lowering my credit with them.

I had just pulled my reports and don't see that they even reviewed my report recently although several of my other companies have. I told them I have never had a company tell me they would prefer I did business with someone else but that wasn't an issue they would not see anymore of my money and I will shred any other offers that come in from them. Also I would make sure that other people are aware of this practice since they have been know to drop them below the existing balance causing the account to go into deliquency damaging the credit even more. I got lucky since I hadn't started my Christmas shopping yet when they did this.

I have worked hard over this last year to rebuild my credit and am worried this will cause my credit score to drop down again.

I openned a paypal account back in 2004 for internet shopping and ebay purchasing which I had linked to my personal bank account. When i received my 2007 tax refund, I transferred 1000 from my personal checking account to my paypal account to save for xmas. I recently bid on several items on ebay and won 3 of them. When I tried to pay for the item from my paypal account, it would only take 36.23 ffrom paypal and tried to debit my personal account for the balance of the purchase. I pulled up my paypal account to see what was wrong and apparently on October 6, 2008 1000. was transferred from my paypal account to a checking account that is not mine. My xmas money was gone.

i immediately tried to contact paypal and with much difficulty finally reached an individual who would not even listen to my problem and closed the case with an email telling me to check my dredit cards and gateway. I was furious. I called back the next day (today) and spoke to another individual who told me that it was not possible to transfer money to any account other than mine and suggested that perhaps I had changed my account information, transferred the money myself and then changed it back because what I was telling him was not possible. I had him to pull up my account and he confirmed that the money was transferred to someone elses account but that all paypal could do was track the money to ensure that it was transferred and anything beyond that was really not their responsibility.

What an outrage! My money has been stolen directly from my paypal account and all they are willing to do is track the transaction to confirm that it was received. PLease get this warning out to the public that this could happen to anyone and paypal DOES NOT CARE! I openned the account believing it was the safest way to make purchases over the internet. Was I ever wrong. I feel sure many other people felt the same way I did. Please warn them, THEIR MONEY IS NOT SAFE IN A PAYPAL ACCOUNT and paypal is not willing to do anything but confirm this!

I lost 1000, my children ages 7 and 10 will have no Christmas. The damages are devastating!

Approximately 4 months ago I signed up for a FREE PayPal feature known as recurring billing. Shortly after the sign-up I began getting charged 30.00 a month for the service. I called and canceled immediately. My bank account keeps getting debited every month. I have contacted PayPal over 30 times by email and phone trying to cancel this service that was supposed to be FREE. I have copies of the email correspondence. PayPal has in their history a record of many but not all the times I attempted to cancel. Between their records and my email copies this travesty is well documented. The charges keep coming.

Every time I call I have to go through IVR then get transferred to call centers in the Philippines as well as 3 additional call center individuals. Often the calls get dropped and I have to start all over. Customer Service promises to take care of it but never do. One individual admitted that this is a known issue and others try to cancel but are not allowed to do so. This is an abusive and predatory practice that demands legal investigation.

1. Over 50 hours spent chasing this at 200.00 an hr. 2. Not sure how much they overcharged me- estimate is 120.00

GE Money Bank, aka Paypal Buyer credit, dropped my limit from 1,500 dollars, to a 250 dollar limit. Without informing me of it, or even so much as giving me a heads up until I went to pay for some computer equipment and books I had bought on ebay. Then I get a no credit available, thinking this was insane, as I have 1500 dollars in credit, I went there, and saw my limit had been dropped to 250 bucks. The items I was buying, were over 400 all together.

I had to use my credit card, to complete my transaction. I am also getting rid of the PayPal buyer credit, and it's subsequent credit card. I have never even used the credit card, PayPal was just a convenient way to pay for my e-bay purchases. Dropping my available credit from 1500 to 250 dollars will of course affect my credit score, and my ability to get credit in the future, for myself or my business. It's a downward spiral, jump off the credit boat now.
