Wesley of Vicksburg MI (12/21/08)
My PayPal account was frozen without any prior notification, and without grounds. I had two eBay transactions in process at the time, one of which I had to make other payment arrangements for. The explanation was that I had made too many credit card changes. I have, for most of a year, used random generated credit card numbers with this PayPal account for an added measure of security. This has never been a problem in the past.

PayPal is acting as a bank while not following the rules that govern such entities. When pressed for an explanation, they tell you the matter is under investigation, and no information is available at this time. I might add that I have always had perfect credit, and my eBay transaction satisfaction rating is 100%.

I have been denied the opportunity to consummate sales on eBay, due to the recent requirement that sellers must now accept only PayPal as online payment.

Paypal has a short window for payment, which is neither usual nor customary among reputable creditors, which appears to be designed to facilitate their practice of not posting payments promptly for the express purpose of charging customers a late fee. The 39 late fee is fraudulent when they deliberately delay posting payments. If and when a payment is actually late, the 39 fee is exorbitant. How do they justify that fee?

A customer's credit rating suffers without cause.

Paypal has struck twice with me. Both as a buyer and now as a seller. As a buyer I spent 630 on an item, paid the shipping insurance and the item came to me broken. Informed the seller about it and they told me to file claim with ups. Contacted ups and was told that the seller was to file the claim so I told the seller and waited for him to respond. Unfortunately for me, because I waited for him to respond, the time elapsed for me to file a claim with paypal.

Called Paypal and was able to have them file the claim anyway, only to have them finally decide three months later to tell me they denied my claim because I didn't file a claim within the alotted amount of time. I'm sorry but it shouldn't matter about that short time frame when we're talking about that much money. The second time was as a seller and I shipped out an item only to have the buyer claim it was broken before I shipped it and file a wrong description claim to get his money back.

He paid no shipping insurance, which I thought was suppose to be a guarantee, and Paypal sided with the buyer stating that my listing was not accurate and clear. Excuse me, but since when is a picture and the statement that the item is in perfect condition not clear enough? Needless to say, I won't be using ebay or paypal ever again. I'm done being screw out of money by their questionable practices.

Someone hacked into my account and transferred over 700.00 from my bank account to the paypal account. This thief attempted to buy a phone. I contacted Paypal, and they got the money back from the seller a.k.a. thief. This money is in my frozen Paypal account, and it has been two weeks!! They won't transfer my funds back into my bank account & close teh Paypal account unless I enter personal info on their site.

They actually want me to enter bosth my bank account number and debit card number to get MY money back. I refuse to do this considering the circumstances. I don't trust them, and I have a right to MY money. This caused my unemployed boyfriend's bank account to overdraft. He only had 790.00 in his account. He had to go to the bank and close our savings and checking account. Since it overdrafted, the amount came out of his credit card. This has caused us to have a credit card bill with interest that we can't pay. We also can't pay our other bills!

We have lost time & several hundred dollars. His perfect credit is affected too. It ruined our Thanksgiving vacation. It has affected our Christmas plans. This is ALL the money we had.

Have been using Paypal for years and recently I used (a year ago) for a camera purchase. I paid them off and then recently I received a phone call saying I owed over 700.00. I told them that all I buy comes out of my debit card on file. I was told that for some unknown reason that all purchases were going to Paypal Buyer Credit automatically. I will pay this thing off and have them take it off my record on Ebay permanently. I now have negitive on my credit history.

Lowered credit line Negitive feedback on my credit bureau account. No notice given of change in activity.
