Purchaced whirlpool smooth top range. After set up we went out of town for a week. Upon returning we ate out a couple days than we cooked on range. When cleaning the surface we found a deep scratch on the cook top. We called Lowe's about the scratch and were told to contact whirlpool, which we did. Waited two weeks for them to make service call. Service person than were told us to contact Lowe's about the problem. Area manager than told us if we would have brought it back the first day they would have replaced it. Please note we followed everything they told us to do and now after seven weeks refuse to repair or replace

deep scratch on cooking surface. It had to come out of the box like that, but we did not look to see at that time.

I filed a complaint about my gas range leaking carbon monoxide into my house.after it was repaired(we will not go into that experience) it still leaked carbon monoxide. I contacted whirlpool and they immediatly decided to just replace the entire stove due to safety issues.I feel better knowing I will have a safe working stove. I hope.

We purchased brand new Whirlpool appliances in June of 2006 to be delivered in July as we were purchasing a home. (refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and range) I think we spent in the range of 5,000.00 for all of them. The range/oven is a 30 in slide in gas range model #GW395LEPS02and had a one year manufacturer's warranty. The oven overheated burning the food that was cooking in the oven and causing the house to be filled with smoke. I had a repairman come out to correct the problem. The oven worked again for a little over a year after that and now (out of warranty) the oven will not light. I had a repairman come out to tell me that the module sensor needed to be replaced. This did not correct the problem and the oven will still not light.

I have contacted Whirlpool on two seperate occasions to discuss this issue with them with little assistance. As a matter of fact the second time I spoke with their customer service rep. she just sat silent on the phone after I finished speaking. I would have to say hello several times to make sure she was still there since she made no comment after speaking myself. The only thing she did say was that she was sorry and that she understood. She offered me a 10% family discount to purchase another oven.

I asked to speak with her manager and she said that she was sorry as well and that the oven shouldn't have broke after only 2 1/2 years two different times but that there wasn't anything they could do and that just happens sometimes and she is sorry She offered me the 10% discount as well to purchase another stove and said that Whirlpool stands behind their products. I asked her if I corrected the problem with the oven that I have now and it broke again in a short amount of time were they going to stand behind their product and she said that she couldn't guarantee anything?

Not really sure what to do but don't think I will be purchasing another Whirlpool appliance again. It is very unfortunate that consumers are having this much trouble with the same parts for this oven and Whirlpool isn't willing to recall the item.

Hsve had a Whirlpool Accubake supercapacity 465 gas range since 2002. Came with the house we bought and lost power 2 years ago and we fixed it now it needs a new control panel. I was reading this website and was amazed at how many people are having the same problem.

Will have to buy a new stove or get the contol panael replaced.

Our 4 month old gas range leaked carbon monoxide poisoning into our house.Fire dept said it could have killed our entire family if we did not have detectors throughout our house. Whirlpool fixing it for free because its still under manufaturer warrenty. They THINK its the heating element and a valve Have had the parts delivered and was told that they could not accomidate us and help get service sooner to accomadate our scheldue so we have to wait 12 days to have it repaired due to our work scheldues and hope this doesnt happen again. The entire stove shouldve been replaced or us given a refund so we could buy a stove that wouldnt possibly kill us.
