Mitsubishi

My WT-A42 model DLP tv shut off and won't turn back on. Saw many complaints about this model and vintage describing the same problem. Also, their DLP technology overall has generated numerous complaints of faulty components: I contacted Customer Service, who simply stated that my unit was out of warranty and they were not aware of widespread issues.

Stated repair costs are 300-1,000, with persistent further problems reported after repairs. Consumers like myself bought expensive lemons with worthless extended warranties. I believe it's reasonable to expect an expensive electronics device to last longer than 5-6 years.

My wd-62528 Mitsubishi 62 inch will not turn on. I cannot get anywhere with the company, basically a middle finger is what I am getting from them. We spent alot of money on this TV and it is only 3 years old! The green light blinks, but will not turn on. All I want from the company is to pinpoint the problem, so my repairman can fix it without charging me 100 hours of labor trying to figure it out. All I get is someone who can't speak english and one guy even hung up on me because I was getting a little upset with him because he was no help! I have seen this problem from alot of people on talk boards and yet still the company will not do anything to help.

Over 3500.00 for TV and countless hours on the phone with Mitsubishi and 500.00 to TV repairman with still no answers and a TV that will not turn on!

I purchased a Model WT-A42 bigscreen television new in 2003, with a 4-year warranty/maintenance plan. While watching it on Monday, it turned off. When I try to turn it on, the green power light comes on for 2-3 seconds, then shuts off again. Researching the internet, I found many, many others who've experienced the same problem with this model. Seems the convergence boards are failing and expensive to repair. I find it appalling to pay this much for a television and have it malfunction within the first five years.

Unless one can diagnose and repair themselves, repair costs range from 300-500. I'm unable to afford this repair; thus I'm stuck with a useless television. I work at home a lot and depend on my tv to follow the news and enjoy other programs.

We purchased a 73 in DLP HDTV for 5800.00 two years ago and bought the extended warranty- 5 yr. We have had [repair service] out numerous times to repair, mostly replace bulbs, which are not covered under warranty. The TV is now shutting itself off and we have tried to reach both companies and both are out of business, now we seem to be stuck w/ and expensive [set] and out of the warranty money.

It seemed to happen each time close to a Holiday and or Superbowl Game, so of course, we were inconveinanced, and had to wait a week to 10 days before anyone could come out. 320.85 X 3 = 962.55,for bulbs. 5800.00 we paid for the TV, which as far as we can tell, will never operate properly again, time, patience and aggrivation. We will have to replace this TV now.

We purchased a mitsubishi (wd-y57) 57 inch T.V. 3-17-07. since we have owned it the bulb has gone out 6 times . for the first year mitsubishi took care of the problem by sending us a new bulb. when there warranty expired we started calling the provider of our extended warranty we purchased. they have fixed the problem with some begging. MY problem is we have owned this T.V. for less then two years and have not been able to enjoy it for more then a few months at a time .

We spent a lot of money on this T.V. and were told by the salesman that sold it that the bulb would last a least 5 years . LOL...how about 5 minutes! I feel severly taken advantage of. My extended warranty runs out in march of 2009 . The last two repairmen that have come to look at the T.V. have said they do not know why the bulb keeps going out but they give a guess and have replaced two different parts which have not solved the problem . It seems with each new bulb they replace the shorter they last. please someone help me I cant afford to buy a new T.V. and I feel that Mitsubishi should stand behind the product they sell, and If they are not willing to we should have the ability to make sure they do.
