I have purchased most of my furniture over 20 years from Ethan Allen. Customer service and delivery were exceptional each time. Quality is exceptional and I still get compliments on the furniture, as it has no scratches, nicks or damage. My mom also fell in love with my furniture and recently purchased some of my same pieces close to Phoenix and had an awesome experience. Can't believe they have gone downhill.. Try Orange County, San Diego (Kearny Mesa) or Chandler, AZ. Try going to Manager if any issues arise and don't give up on them!!!

I want to thank the many people who wrote about Ethan Allen. We are in the process of buying a new home and I, having known Ethan Allen's good reputation in the past, was planning to buy furniture from them. Now I will not buy one piece!! I am sick and tired of the junk coming from overseas and the shoddy workmanship. Paying high prices for excellent quality, things that should last a lifetime or more, is one thing. Paying these prices for shoddy work is another.

Shame on Ethan Allen, Thomasville and the many other former high quality companies now turning out dime store furniture. My heart goes out to the people who lost so much buying from these companies. I, and many more, are grateful to you for alerting us to these frauds. We will buy well made Wnglish and American antiques instead!

I was interested in a four poster bed and asked the saleswoman if the style I wanted ever went on sale. She said sorry but they don't put their productson sale. They just keep their prices low all the time. So I kept looking around the store and came upon a back room that they used for selling items that they put on a huge reduced clearance price. And there it was--the exact bed I asked the sales woman about. It was marked down 50%. I was so angry about being lied to by the saleswoman that I walked out and will never shop there again.

My husband and I bought 12,000 worth of furniture from Ethan Allen. We purchased the British Classics dining, end tables and a sofa from there over 5 yrs. ago. The sales rep, and interior designer named Liz was excellent. She took the time to come to our house and take measurements to make sure everything would fit and look good. They offer this service at no extra cost. Our furniture has held up with no problems and is very comfortable. We went back this week and purchased a smaller dining set for our kitchen area. Carol our new sales rep was very professional and patient, ( I had my 5 and 2 yr old with me). We will continue to do business with Ethan Allen.

I just left Ethan Allen with a written quote to purchase a floor model dining room & 8 chairs. I can't tell you how glad I am I found this website! There's NO WAY I'll shop there. I was told that because the set is a floor model and on clearance there is no warranty! The doors on the buffet were off the track & I told the designer that I wouldn't consider buying the set if it was not in perfect condition. AND.....I can't have it delivered until the 3rd or 4th week in December, when the newer contemporary sets will be in to replace the space taken up by this set.

All the above sent up little red flags to me, but your customer complaints about Ethan Allen have just sealed the deal...or no deal! Thanks for all the important information. It's saved us some money and aggrevation.
