I detest shopping for anything expensive, for all of the same reasons that are already running through your head as you read this. For that reason, it normally takes an act of congress to get me in the car on shopping trips. That said, my wife got me to join her for some furniture shopping at Ashley this weekend (and last weekend), and our experience there was worth a quick review.
We were greeted by Kristine (I think I remember that properly; it may have been Kristy), who was very pleasant and a natural, confident presence: she gave us the basic information we needed to navigate the displays on our own for a while, and assured us that she'd be around shortly to "bug us." I can't say enough about her sense of balance and confidence in her communication with us.
I come from a background in sales, so I always pay careful attention to soft skills. I'm sensitive as a pilot light when it comes to pressure, too, and there was none of that. Throughout our first visit, and when we returned the following weekend, she was able to help us work through our purchasing decision without even a hint of pressure. She provided all of the pertinent information, answered all of our questions, and walked with us through our design vision until we had the best scheme we could possibly come up with for our living room. She was beyond competent, genuinely helpful, and a natural sales professional.

Original review: Just purchased a sectional from Ashley at Hunt Valley in Timonium. I had great customer service from CARDIER. He was absolutely so patient with me and gave me great customer service.

We had a wonderful experience at Ashley Furniture in Houston, TX, Ryan ** was our sales consultant, and he really helped us answer any questions we had. He guided us; gave us lots of options; then let us shop on our own. It was such a great experience with Ryan! He was very professional and knowledgeable. We found a comfortable recliner and a beautiful sofa. We were also very impressed with the high quality of everything in the store and the very reasonable prices; we will definitely be back again and would recommend Ashley Furniture and Ryan's assistance when shopping at Ashley Furniture.

Yesterday while visiting family, their furniture was delivered. The 3 men unloaded, set-up, and cleaned up. They never stopped working! They were conscientious and proficient. I was so impressed that I asked their names. Wilber **, Milton **, and Oscar ** did a phenomenal job so I thought I would write this public review so their supervisor could learn how pleased our family was with their efforts! I hope they could receive some recognition from the company because they worked so hard. There were about 10 pieces of very heavy furniture, which they unboxed and set up with precision and speed. Very impressive work ethic!

I bought a dresser from Ashley Home, which arrived at my home on Sep 4. On Sep 6, I tried to assemble it. Everything seemed fine, with the exception of one of the legs of the dresser, which would simply not attach (meaning it was defective). Products can be defective. I am not complaining about this. My main problem was the pure disdain from customer service after I tried to resolve my issue.
At the same day, I called the customer service number. They asked me to send a picture of the dresser to the link and told me that I would get a message with a response within 1 day. 4 days went by, and nothing. I had then to call the number again and asked what happened. They told me that there was a delay and that they would contact me in 24 hours.
Again, nothing. I called the number again and this time the agent told me that she would text me a link within 30 min to schedule a repair. 4 hours went by and nothing. Called the number yet again. And the agent told me that my number had been blocked by their own system. This time they scheduled the technician visit for Sep 14 (3 days after my last call). On Sep 11, I got a text message saying that I would have to call the customer service once more because the previous agent had scheduled my visit wrongfully.
I called once again the customer service number and, to my surprise, I was offered an alternate day to Sep 28 (17 days in the future and 22 days after the initial complaint). The fact that I had to call the customer service over 6 times is beyond absurd and insulting as a customer. I will await the next visit of the technician, but I am making this statement to make sure that other buyers are aware of the level of disrespect that Ashley Homes treat their clients.

Purchased a TV stand/Fireplace. Happy with the furniture but not the delivery service experience. We paid $200 for what was called the “white glove” delivery. I felt this was expensive but had so much to do in my move so welcomed not having to deal with assembly. We were told it would be completely set up for us. The furniture arrived early and the delivery driver while polite, dropped it and took off immediately. After he left we noticed the knobs were inside the doors, which we assumed is done for shipping. He left the shelves and a package of parts on our table. Having no idea what all these parts are, I called the store to inquire about the way the delivery was done. It took 3 different phone calls to finally get to the correct person who advised that the driver would return to finish since he should have fully assembled it and showed us how it worked before leaving.
Instead the driver called to very nicely tell me it’s just not a big deal to finish the assembly myself. He told me he had no idea what the extra parts were for or where the shelf pegs would be but he wasn’t returning. He felt we could just handle it. I contacted the store requesting a partial refund of my white glove delivery since I had to now finish the assembly myself and did not get what I paid for. I asked for Gus the store manager to please return my call since he was busy when I called twice. He did not return my calls. In my opinion, the white glove delivery was expensive and not as sold.

This review is on the 3rd party warranty company they use. If I could give a negative number I would. I purchased several pieces of furniture from Ashley in Mishawaka and when I had an issue with my couch, I went thru the whole process of filing a warranty. I have part of my couch where the fabric is peeling off. I received a call today and was told it was not covered because my body can touch this part of my couch. What in the holy hell does that even mean, it is a couch and yes I sit on it. Buyers beware DO NOT buy the warranty they are just scamming the consumer to buy it and never follow thru on upholding their part of the deal. 10 month old couch and now I can't get an issue fixed. I will NEVER buy or recommend Ashley Furniture again.

Truly one of the worst experiences of my adult life. We bought a $5000 leather electric couch and love seat And an extended warranty.. In < 7 months it began to discolor. I reported it. The extended warranty folks told me to contact the store as it was less than a year so still covered by Ashley. They sent a guy, who " ordered a part." When he came back, the past was wrong. Said he had to reorder. We never heard from him or the store. After another month, and the furniture looking worse all the time, I contacted the store again
6 phone calls later and the Kennesaw store manager Meredith, who was so pleasant to deal with, called to tell me the company wouldn't be taking any further action as the discoloration was considered " normal wear and tear." This is the most ridiculous thing we've ever heard. Please see the photos. We have NEVER spilled anything, used any unusual skin care products. Our home is air conditioned with no excessive sun exposure. So basically we've thrown away $5000. We are still considering litigation.

Ashely online is the worst experience. My dad needs a hip replacement, so I purchased him a pub table in hope that a taller table would help him with his pain. I did not realize that the table was bar height. I was not able to put it together right away, so by the time I figured out it was too tall, I was 10 days out of my 30 days return window. I contacted customer service and they refused to help me. They said they are very strict with the return window and the item must be in the original package. Since I put it together and it was 40 days later they said they would not accept a return. Now I have table that doesn't work for my dad and now I have to try to sell it or find someone to give it to. The item was not better quality than anything I could have found on Amazon or Overstock. I could have and should have bought the same table on Amazon and been able to return it.

It has been airing for 4 months with fans constantly blowing on them!! Used the cleaners they supplied, wiped it down...nothing helped! Still is as strong as when I got it!!

I had a very disappointing experience with Ashley Furniture and would strongly caution others before purchasing from this store. I purchased a couch and TV cabinet from Ashley Furniture, and my salesperson was Kristopher Crummett. Before placing the order, I specifically asked him to confirm the delivery date because I was moving into a new home and timely delivery was extremely important to me. I was assured that my furniture would be delivered on August 5th.
Unfortunately, the delivery was delayed, and there was no proactive communication from the salesperson. I only found out about the delay because I repeatedly contacted him. I called multiple times, and each time there were different explanations involving family emergencies. Further updates about delays were generally communicated only through text messages.
The furniture was eventually delivered on August 13th. The couch was assembled, but the TV cabinet was left in the box, completely unassembled. I immediately contacted Kristopher. He himself said that the situation was “ridiculous” and told me he would speak with the manager and arrange for the TV cabinet to be assembled. He also texted me that the manager would refund me for the trouble caused. After a few messages, however, he stopped responding to my texts and calls.
After waiting several days, I went back to the store in person to get the issue resolved. Unfortunately, the manager's response was just as disappointing. Rather than taking ownership of the situation or trying to resolve it, she was extremely indifferent. I was told that Kristopher was “new” and had miscommunicated with me regarding the furniture assembly and refund. Being new may explain a mistake, but it does not excuse the complete lack of follow-up, accountability, or customer service.
As a customer, I paid for my furniture and trusted the salesperson's representations when making the purchase. What I expected was simple: accurate information, timely communication, and someone willing to take responsibility when something went wrong. Instead, I had to repeatedly chase the salesperson, deal with delays without proper communication, and ultimately visit the store myself just to get someone to acknowledge the problem.
This experience has left me extremely disappointed with both the salesperson and the store management. Poor management and a lack of accountability ultimately reflect on the entire customer experience. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before purchasing from this location. Taking a customer's money is not the end of the transaction—how you treat the customer when something goes wrong is what really demonstrates the quality of a business.

I placed an order online as I could get something delivered within a week according to the website, as I was preparing for guests to arrive. Received a confirmation email, then received a second email the following day stating the order was still processing, then the third day received an order has been declined. What?
Called customer service - which the kindest thing I can say is they gave me a non answer. She said, and I quote, "We do not know why online orders are canceled and we do not have a record of your order in the system." It was then shared with me that when an order is declined then it's deleted from the system, so they are not able to rectify through customer service - it must be referred to finance as they are the only ones who can see the order which, doesn't make sense as they said it was deleted. So which is it? It was then shared that my details didn't match my banking institution, and that's why the order was canceled, so which is it - you don't know why or discrepancy with what was entered? This is the last time I purchase from them.

Absolute Zero After-Sales Service – Ashley Furniture Hwy 7 Richmond Hill. Buying from Ashley Furniture (Highway 7, Richmond Hill branch) has been an absolute nightmare. The moment they take your money, you cease to exist to them. We purchased a mattress with an extended warranty, trusting the quality and service. Within just a few months, the mattress suffered a severe structural collapse, sinking badly. What followed has been months of complete abandonment, broken promises, and total silence. Every channel of support is a dead end:
* Calling the Richmond Hill store leads to endless runarounds, dismissive managers, and staff who are only polite when they are swiping your credit card.
* When a serious medical condition and chronic pain are involved—making every single night on a defective product an unbearable physical struggle—their customer service team shows a shocking, inhumane level of apathy and zero urgency.
After months of begging for basic accountability, their solution was to schedule an inspection weeks down the road, completely ignoring the urgent health impact and distress this defective product is causing. They sell defective products, collect warranty money, and completely abandon you when things go wrong. If you value your money, your time, and your physical health, stay far away from this store. I went in to my local Ashley Furniture store in Fresno, CA today, August 13th, 2026 in order to use a $35 voucher from a class action settlement (Kroll Settlement) that was emailed to me. I called ahead to see if the staff at this store knew about this voucher and how to use it and was told that, “yes, I could use it there.” The service I received was poor overall. The staff were friendly and seemed to know about the voucher but had never had to apply it to a purchase with a previous customer. They advised me that it was not valid for clearance items (even though there is no merchandise restriction mentioned anywhere on the voucher). I spent about 10 minutes browsing and found a pillow in the amount of $34.99 that I tried to utilize the voucher for.
At first I was advised by the staff member that the purchase needed to be over $35 in order to use the voucher, but I showed her the voucher that said “no minimum purchase required.” The staff member then began to try to get the voucher code applied to the purchase and was unsuccessful. Another staff member got involved and could not get it to work either. I ended up waiting for about 20 minutes and overheard the two staff members talking to one another as well as another staff member on the phone who advised them that pillows were not an item the voucher could be used toward…the local staff member stated the pillow was a drop ship item and so she thought the voucher could be applied. Here are the exact terms on the voucher email I received from the Kroll Settlement company:
“Enclosed please find a $35 voucher issued under the Class Action Settlement in addition to your Individual Cash Payment.
This voucher is subject to the following required terms:
• $35 off a single purchase at any Stoneledge (Ashley HomeStore) location in California• No minimum purchase required
• Fully transferable (not for resale)
• Must be used in a single transaction
• No cash value if not fully redeemed
• Not replaced if lost or stolen
The voucher must be redeemed on or before January 25, 2027, after which it will be expired and cannot be used.”
I do not believe Ashley Furniture honored the terms of the voucher agreed upon in the settlement. There is no mention that the voucher cannot be used toward clearance items or regular priced pillows. I had to leave the store to return to work and so far have received no follow up call from the store. If this was my store and a customer presented the voucher I would simply have done some kind of manger override to honor it, especially given the purchase price of the pillow. The store does have my phone number for follow up contact. I will follow up with the settlement administrator regarding this in case Ashley Furniture is in violation of the settlement terms. I will also plan to leave a Google review if there is no response from Ashley Furniture.

Run away from this company as fast as you can and do not buy anything! Purchased a sectional and some end tables during Ashley's Black Friday sale. We were told they would be ready for pickup on 12/7/25. 12/7 came and went and I heard from no one so I sent a message trying to find out the status. First I was told that everything was backordered and would not be in until 1/25. I later found out that only the end tables were on back order and the sectional was available. I was okay with waiting for the end tables, but obviously communication is not their strong point. I scheduled a day to pick it up from the distribution center but then had to reschedule and chatted with them and had it rescheduled to Monday, 12/15.
The distribution center is an hour away from my house and we drove down there pulling our trailer and found out when we got there that they are closed on Mondays. Luckily, someone left the door unlocked and I was able to get a man to give us our order. After a long wait, they loaded it into the trailer and when we got it home and unloaded it we found damage on 3 of the 5 items. We were very unhappy and just decided to wash our hands of this entire thing and return it. Apparently, in store purchases are not returnable, even it they are damaged. You cannot even call the actual store and speak to the manager there and are sent to some call center.
I am beyond upset with this entire process! They did tell me they will send someone to fix the items, but after hearing about others' awful experiences with that, I am just done with Ashley. I had them cancel my end tables and will not be doing any further business with them. Pay attention to the canned reply from some robot following my review telling me to call an 800 number to get it resolved. Awful customer service and products. They even give people fake email addresses in their replies! I tried the email they provided and had the email return undeliverable.
After having this piece of furniture for seven months, I can tell you that the quality I already knew to be horrible has continued to deteriorate. One of the pieces of my sectional that hardly ever gets sat on now squeaks whenever someone sits down on it. There are other edges of the furniture that are ripping when no one’s touching them or even getting near them. The cushions on this couch smashed down after only seven months' worth of use and they provide no support whatsoever. It’s just extremely uncomfortable and impossible to sit in. Ashley has informed me they don’t cover rips or tears under their warranty and can do nothing about my cushions smashing down because that’s just normal use. $3000 for a couch to become uncomfortable and smashed down after seven months is normal? Just run away!

When we arrived we were met with a big smile. She showed us the merchandise we were look for. Kristen was sweet and mindful of our not sure what we were looking for. We were glad we chose Ashley's first.

Sad but true. We have faced fraud in our orders, trying to cancel and get a refund for undelivered items has been a nightmare.

I had an issue with an expensive sectional with three electric recliners. This company kept promising they would repair my item hoping that I would forget they said they would call back either that day next week two weeks. Lied about the part I needed being sent to the wrong address and that I should receive it at my home address within two weeks that never happened and when I called they denied it. I don’t know who you talk to is always what they said. I had paid almost a I had paid almost $400 for an extended warranty. What it comes down to is the manager is the one responsible. Antonio often answers the phone, she misinformed me on several occasions with different promises, not kept. I believe she is under the direct control of management as to what to say. I would urge you not to trust anyone there.

I bought Two Cooling pillows -- from Ashley Furniture/Highland Indiana on 10-2025 thru financing from Synchrony Bank! The Pillows Cost $639.86. Overpriced! The Cooling Pillows were defective--because they became deflated and stopped cooling in 3 months! I put in a Dispute thru Synchrony Bank to ask for a Refund! Synchrony told me to send Photos of the Pillows which I did-- I am putting in a Review about Ashley Furniture that the quality of their items sold may not be quality merchandise?!
