I financed a vehicle two and a half years ago, at 9.00%, but they've been charging me much more than that. In July 2011, I owed $17,678.00. I pay $399.00/mo., yet as of today, I still owe $16,100.00. This cannot be right. Do I have any recourse, please? Thank you.

I had a voluntary repossession in 2002, 10 years ago, which was charged off, according to Experian. They've ruined my credit since then, and expect me to pay interest on the property I don't even have. For 4 times, the write-off in 2008 according, to Experian now put another judgement I bought in Colorado. The judgement is in Missouri. Something isn't right. I need advice! Ford Motor Credit Customer Service is not, and has not done anything but repossess it, sell it, and write it off in 2008. Is this right? I don't have the property, and no change in my credit report. I need some help, and maybe some constructive advice in a letter, if possible. Can I avoid bankruptcy, after all this?

Repossession, took 3 years to pay off $4,892.00. I made the last payment of $150.00 in June, 2011. I have a letter from their attorney paid off, but it is still on my credit report as not paid. They promised to show the balance was paid, but haven't yet. I don't get anywhere with them, and their promise: "pay it and we will take it off credit" is **. They got their money at the auction and I paid the difference. They are mean while talking on the phone.

I am currently leasing a Ford Edge from Ford. In my lease, Ford is responsible for the excise tax. I pay $360.00 a month. Two weeks ago, I found out that Ford did not pay the excise tax on my truck and even worse, my plates had been expired since May 2010. I have contacted Ford back and forth and also, I have contacted the City Hall of the town where I live in and they are telling me the excise tax has not been paid while Ford is telling me it has been. So two weeks later, I am still with my truck but off the road. Also, I recently made my monthly payment to Ford but I cannot even drive my truck.
I am very disappointed with the way Ford is handling things. I feel they should resolve this with City Hall because their name is on the lease and they are responsible. I just keep getting the run around from both ends because City Hall says it is not paid while Ford says it is. I just want to find out who is responsible and get it resolved as quickly as possible.

My father was leasing a vehicle from ford; before his lease was up he passed away. Before he died he had told me if anything happens to me, since the car was being purchased for me, "You can return the car to Ford or continue the payments or buy it." Well my dad passed away in December 2010. I continued making the payments until I was able to contact Ford about the lease and notify them. Well, February was coming fast so I contacted Ford. This was Victor.
When I contacted him I told him the situation and we set a meeting that was at the time of the lease being up. He assured me we would work something out. The weight went off my shoulders and I felt good for a change. Things hadn't been going so well to this point. But then I meet with him and Ford credit says I need to prove I am executor of my father's trust. So I brought evidence of that. But the trust says mom is first, well she preceded him in death so I brought them a death certificate which now named me executor. Then Ford throws me for a loop and says we need a payment to keep the car in good standing which I forked over the same day. The salesman tried everything humanly possible to get me that vehicle. He heard my story he was empathetic to me. Ford then told me after all that, they could not sell me the car from the lease my dad had.
Now in the eyes of the law, I was my father, was I not, executor of his will? I had the same rights my father had on that ending lease. I opted to buy the vehicle, one of his options when lease was up. They could take my money for payment but I offered them cash on the spot for the balance owed on the car. They refused to allow me to purchase the vehicle and said I needed to turn the car in. They would do a fair market value on the car and sell it to me for that price. I was LIVID. They wanted more money for a car my father had already put $14000 toward buying and instead of me paying the balance owed of $10,196, they want me to purchase the car at a higher price, which with a few thousand tacked on the car was still conceivable to purchase, but the principal of it is. It was a binding contract between my father and them.
My father died. I, his executor, with power of attorney had every right to purchase that vehicle at lease end. I did everything the legal route. I could have just sent them a cashier s check at end of lease and pretended he was alive. But I did the right thing. I was truthful. And they just told me I wasn't eligible to purchase that vehicle. Now with the power of attorney makes me good as him, does it not? I am soon, really soon having to turn this vehicle in to them and walk away $14000 in to their pocket with nothing to show for it. Is that fair? I know one thing; my father had bought over 10 fords over his lifetime. I was big on buying Fords and when he brought this car home to me and said, "Go look at your new car." I frowned because I said, "Let me guess, it's a Ford?" He said, "No, it's mercury." and I got in the Milan and I love it. The best car I ever had. And now Ford just made my dad's love for Ford die with him. And they almost had me sold. What rights do I have? Please help

In February of 2008, I bought a Ford F-150, and then in April of that same year, I became disabled, due to being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, thus changing my entire life. I called Ford Motors credit, and told them what had happened, and that I needed to surrender my vehicle to them, as it would take months for my SSD to start-up. Their response was to try to sell it for a few months, and see if that worked out, which I did, but that was when the country was going through major layoffs, and no one seemed to be buying anything.
At the same time, Ford, as well as GM, and a couple of other auto-makers, came up with the no fault voluntary surrender program for those that have lost their jobs, and would not reflect on their credit. When I called them back once again, they agreed to come get it, which took a couple of more months, for them to come and get it. When I recently got a copy of my credit report, guess what was on my credit report? Yes, a Ford Motors credit repossession. When I called them about this, they seem to have "selective amnesia" regarding this program. I didn't lose my job due to cutbacks or anything, it was because I could no longer work, due to a debilitating disease. To me this was very deceptive, and was only made public, to deceive the public into believing that they were really going to do what they said they would do. Totally fraudulent IMO.

I've been leasing Ford vehicles now for many years; a car for my wife and also a truck for myself. We've never had a problem when we returned our vehicles when the leases were up. I returned the Ford 2009 Fusion to Dave Smith Ford and got a new 2010 Fusion. When the 2009 was checked out, there were no issues with the inspection. Now four months later, I got a call from Ford Credit from a woman named Alex at **, stating one tire was low and had excessive wear. We are being charged $300 for this tire. I've never had this happen before and I believe this is an unwarranted charge. I did rotate those tires during my lease and if the tire was low when I returned it, then I believe it was a faulty tire.
Why did it take this long to determine something was wrong with one of the tires? If I have to pay for this tire, then I want the tire returned to me and this will be my last Ford purchase.

Ford Motor Credit repossessed my car because I was two months late, which was never done before when I was even 33 months late. I rec'd calls from them and they refused to update the notes in the system when I explained my husband's hours were cut temporarily-they never documented my account. They never gave me an option for an extension.
When they came to my house, they stated I would not be liable for any towing/repossession fees. That I could pick up the car tomorrow as soon as my $500.00 payment was posted into their system. I paid the 500.00 on Sunday and it was taken out on Tuesday, and they still told me they could not give me my car. They were not even willing to take my confirmation number.
My husband has not been able to go to work, my dog had cluster seizures that same week and I have two underage sons. They continue to hold my car at this time even though I have responded to all of their requests (Money gram, bank statement and phone interview, etc.) I called and now the repo company PP Recovery is playing a game saying they haven't received any faxes from Ford Motor Credit.
