Here's what Ticketsnow.com has to say and here's what its customers say:

LeeAnn of Madison, WI May 25, 2009

I have just finished reading through the list of complaints about TicketNow, which is apparently a subsidiary of TicketMaster. I also have no problem with companies making a reasonable profit, but TicketNow's business practices are downright deceitful, astoundingly so. I wanted to buy Gypsy King concert tickets for June 6, 2009. I was directed to the TicketNow site. I paid 124 each for four tickets. I thought the price was a bit steep, but it still seemed believable if the seats were as good as the note suggested.

I was also confused by the info box that told me how many tickets were left. I thought this referred to tickets for the entire concert in general and that I had to purchase quickly before the concert sold out. When I went to purchase, I saw a 14.95 charge for FedExing the tickets. That also seemed steep, but I accepted. It was not until after I purchased the tickets that I saw that I had been billed an 18.60 service charge for each ticket. Furious, I then did some research and found that I could have gotten the same tickets for 65 (and that there were still plenty of tickets left).

So my total was 585.35 for something that could have cost as little as 267. I called TicketNow and was given the same line about reading the fine print, about the difference between the face and market value of the tickets. Market value? With the great number of tickets still unsold for this particular concert, TicketNow has nothing to do with actual market value. Totally deceptive, disgusting business practices. Can anything be done?

Allan of Bergenfield, NJ May 16, 2009

The night before “The Dead” tickets went on sale for MSG, I went to Ticket Master to get info on tickets. I was redirected to TicketNow. I found the show info and clicked on buy tickets, not thinking they can sell tickets the night before they go on sale. I thought I was setting up an account, and gave them my credit card info. The next thing I know I got a message, your purchase was approved. As soon as saw this I called my credit card company to cancel the purchase. They told me the transaction went through and I have to call TicketNow. When I got hold of TicketNow they told me No refunds or exchanges.

Holger of New York, NY May 7, 2009

I went onlint to TicketMaster to purchase 4 tickets for Chick Corea - 23 April 2009. I was redirected to TicketsNow.com where the tickets were shown to be 104.00 each. I concluded my transaction, but was shocked when I got my credit card statement - I had been charged 1896.35! 409.00 per ticket and a 243.40 service fee! THIS IS SO COMPLETELY OUTRAGEOUS, and cleary a terrible scam.

Thinking it might be a terrible mistake, I immediateley contacted TicketNow.com Customer Care sho said it was too bad, and that I should've read their terms and aggreements, and that everything is quite clearly stated on their website prior to making the final purchase. This is not the case. I am quite a savvy internet shopper, and am well aware of what I'm doing online, when it comes to using my credit card.

I have my credit card company doing an investigation. They have come back to me with all the evidence presented by TicketsNow.com, which basically states that I accepted to pay 409 per ticket and the 243.40 service fee - it is their word against mine. I'm not satified, and after doing some research of my own, I came accross this website all these other people who have had the same awful experience. THIS CANNOT BE TOLERATED AND IS UNAMERICAN. We work hard for our money and will not accept companies like TicketsNow.com get away with stealing it.

jodi of Brooklyn , NY May 3, 2009

After a previous complaint regarding the same transaction, this current complaint also deals with the purchase of tickets for a Bruce Springsteen concert at Nassau Collesium for Monday, May 4, 2009. Tickets Now sent me an email which states in writing that Tickets Now guarantees that you will have your tickets in time for the event and it is now less than 24 hours prior to the event and I still do not have them. I intended to take my tickets to work with me and go to the concert straight from work tomorrow (5/4/09) Since I work F/T, after leaving my home at 7AM tomorrow, I will be home before the event to pick up these tickets if they should arrive tomorrow. Not having received these tickets by now is outrageous! I phoned Tickets Now and they advocate calling again and try to see if tickets can be emailed to me or going to the local FedEx office tomorrow to try to pick up the tickets. I cannot afford to spend my day of work investigating and tracking down these tickets. The customer service representative that I spoke with on the phone was not helpful. I expected him to guarantee that the tickets would be in my hands at the earliest possible time tomorrow. The entire experience shopping for tickets with this company has been a nightmare. They have not been helpful or professional. After initially overcharging me by more that 50% the face value of the tickets, they are now making my receipt of the tickets not only inconvenient, but potentially impossible. What recourse do I have under these circumstances?

Molly of San Diego, CA April 16, 2009

I went to TicketMaster to buy 4 tickets for the Britney Spears concert in Anaheim on April 19, 2009. I planned on buying 4 tickets for 600 total. The site redirected me to ticketsnow without any notifcation and I ened up buying 4 tickets from a completely different site that were three times the face value. They charged me 589 a ticket plus an 88 fee on each of the four tickets).

I have used TicketMaster before so I am familiar with their system. The website is now designed to purposely redirect you to a secondary vendor (TicketsNow is owned by TicketMaster). I found out that TicketMaster's CEO apologized to the Bruce Springstein fans when they had several complaints about this very issue. They even reimbersed them. They would not do the same for me however, I did not have a congressman helping me like the Bruce Springstein fans did.

I spent months disputing the charge with the company and even tried to get my credit card company to help me. I also find it strange that TicketsNow, a company by TicketMaster, had a plethora of tickets to sell before the PRESALE even started. There is a definite conflict of interest occurring and I hope someone will invesitgate.

I lost 2100 dollars. My tickets on ticketmaster only would have cost 600.00 and I was charged 2700.00.

My wife and 11 old daughter went online to purchase tickets for a Canadian concert for the THE JONAS BROTHERS. They thought they were deaing with Ticketmaster. We ended up paying double the face value plus all funds in US Dollarsfor a canadian event that should be avialable in a canadian dollars. The customer service department refuses to reverse the charges. This is nothing less than ticket scalping. Where is the legislation to protect th consumer.

Cost us ove 200 in extra charges plus a great deal of aggravation.

I placed an order online 3/27/09 through Ticketmaster for 2 Seattle Mariner tickets for a game scheduled for 5/24/09. I was redirected to TicketsNow. I ended up with my total being 194.95. When I received the tickets they we're printed at 40 each. That's more than a 50% increase!! I called TicketsNow and was told there was nothing they could do and all sales were final. I'm mad to say the least!! This is a rip-off!!

I have no recourse unless someone can inform me of another option. I'm out way more money than I should be. And from looking at the internet, this is happening to many people.
