Postal Service May Seek Service Cut
Movie Fans Suspect Foul Play at the Post Office

shannon of santa cruz, CA November 19, 2009

I have very poor mail delivery at my address. I have called the main post office and spoke to Peresa who said to speak to my carrier. I have done this many times. Carrier says to call PO.PO says to talk to carrier. I have complained about this many times. I even had my mail forwarded to different address to I could receive it but you can only forward for one year. After the one year I asked to have it extended and they refused. This problem has gone on too long. When my mail is forwarded I got it fine so obviously the disconnect is in the main posst office. Please help me. My life is being ruined.

Harold of N Ft Myers, FL November 17, 2009

One time in 7 years our postal box was blocked due to a service technician working at our residence. The carrier would have had to walk 4 steps to make our delivery and pick up two envelopes that were ready for mailing. This is total lack of customer service and the sign of a very lazy employee. (11/16/09). May be checks in mail for deposit or mail that will not be timely to me and result in past due charges and interest.

the post office keeps sending my mail back to send marking it non deliverable or moved or no longer at this address. i have lived here for over a year and still live here. never ever put in change of address. mr jones keeps sying he fixed the problem but nothing has been done. my attorney just informed me today that he got back documents that he had sent me. mr jones tries to argue and calls everyone a liar but my attorney faxed him the envelope that the sent and got back and mr jones still syas his post office does not make mistakes and refuses to do anything about this.

this is being happening for about six months and nothing being done. my utilities keeps calling and asking why they getting bills back. utilities shut off because bills being returned to sender. documents from attorney about missed court dates, monthly pension checks being returned and having to be reissued

It is now Friday the 13th of November, we have not seen our mail carrier for three days.. We have had dated material mail to go out in our mail box to be picked up and to no avail, my husband who is disabled, had to finally last night at 7pm go to a mail box and mail it ourselves. This is unacceptble and I demand a look see into this situation. This is not the first time this has happened and I hope the last.

Robert of Woodinville, WA November 10, 2009

Here it is 6PM on monday the 9 of Nov. and the mail has not been delivered. Most days it is after 4PM before the mail gets delivered. If the rout is so big that one person can not complete the rout with out using over time then I think it is time to add another person to deliver the mail. The post ofice is talking about deleting one days delivery now, how are they going to keep up with the amount of mail to deliver after a day of no delivery?

Kathy of Woodstock, GA November 9, 2009

My husband & I have lived at our residence for over 18 years. During these 18 years we have had multiple times of not receiving mail that was sent to us; mail we send is not delivered; and every month we receive other peoples mail(often several pieces belonging to the the same person). I have filed several complaints with the U.S. Postal Service and nothing has improved.

Also since living at our address we have had one reported case of a postal employee charged with tampering of mail and my mail was held as evidence in charges brought against this person.

We have incurred late charges on bills that were not delivered. We have not received money that was mailed to us. I have not received prescriptions that was ordered and never delivered. We have a extreme problem of receiving any personal mail from family & friends. Payments we send for utilities and services are not delivered resulting in late fees and charges to stop payment on checks. Gifts that friends mail me...never arrive. Merchandise that we order often does not arrive.

I mailed a package by express mail on Friday Oct. 30, 2009. She was to receive it by 3:00 pm. Ms Jones was up in the morning at 7;00 am waking for her package. The post office don't close until 3:00 pm on Saturdays. Ms Jones has two doors that the postal service could use to delive. She placed a note on one of the doors and the delivery person never left a card indicating the package was at the poat office in Altoona Pa.

I contacted a lady at the 1-800- number at 5:00 pm and was informed to call back at 8:00 pm. The damage was that Ms Jones never received a delivery slip which could have allowed her to pick up her package before 300 pm instead due to no slip she had to wait until Monday. This not the first time this has happen.
