USPS - No Mail Delivery

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

My zip code is 66210. In 17 months, we have had four (4) packages. Our P.O. has claimed they have delivered to our address and haven't. The first was a package husband sent from Iraq. The second was from amazon and when they were contacted, they said the package had been returned (so whoever it was delivered to, was honest enough to return to sender). One was delivered to apartment complex and the last has not been located yet! Every time I call the P.O. (who has go be one of the most customer service unfriendly in this country), they tell me that the package was delivered to you. When I tell them it wasn't, the pat answer is, "We'll check w/ carrier" - and then I'm told again, "it was delivered!" I have had tracking numbers on all packages.

I get other people's mail continually and other people are getting mine. I get absolutely no satisfaction when dealing w/ this P.O. Recently, I found the carrier (who was talking on her cell phone) delivering our mail. I handed her mail that had been put in my box, but was not mine. She looked at it, threw it up on her dash and went on talking on her cell phone. No wonder our mail is screwed up!

I need someone to get this resolved as I'm fed up and will have FedEx or UPS deliver from now on, so I know I will get what I have ordered! I have asked for numbers for postmaster, regional manager, postmaster general. All I get is a runaround. There's not a one at this post office that couldn't care less. And, they wonder why they're going bankrupt?! The sooner the better as far as I'm concerned! If I have to take this to my congressman, I will. Please advise!

I contacted the 1-800-275-8777 and requested redelivery of mail in which a notice was left. I have yet to receive my mail re-delivered after making 3 requests. The USPS operator (Miles) responded insensitively to my re-delivery request. He came across as if he really didn't give a damn whether I received my package or not.

In addition, he gave me incorrect post office information as to where I can pick up my package--2 different locations: Ryder Retail Post Office at 2222 Flatbush Avenue and 1739 East 45th Street in Brooklyn--but the same number 718-258-0258. I called the number provided, and the number has consistently rang busy for 4 days now. Please look into this matter. Apparently, the phone is off the hook. Thank you.

Postal workers are taking the easy way out, instead of keeping a package because of "insufficient address", they are immediately returning it to sender. It is absolutely ridiculous to return a package in less than 24 hours of the first attempt to deliver. I had a package being sent from California to the Niles, Ohio office. The package had the name of the company printed on it, as well as the correct address and since it was in the mall, the carrier never even attempted to deliver it. She just took it back and returned it to the sender. The first attempt happened on February 6, 2012 at 2:33PM and by 10:00AM on February 7, the package was sent back.

When I called at 10:00AM, a post master or manager from the Niles post office named Rita ** was extremely rude. She slammed the phone down while I was talking, huffed and puffed when I was telling her of a similar situation with another post office, thinking it would help her not make the same mistake the other office did and she cut me off saying "I don't care what that other post office did". Her tone and verbiage was unprofessional and careless and she showed no interest in helping. I had to call all the way down to Cleveland Customer Management office and speak with Tina ** for help and that's not even her district or job. Although she wasn't able to give me substantiated answers (due to Niles office not providing her with any), she did help and was courteous! These post office masters and clerks should be ashamed of the way they treat customers. It's going to take a lot more than a civil exam to teach them how to build rapport and have excellent customer service skills.

The USPS is horrible. I live in a 4-unit apartment building. Our mailbox is located inside the main entrance of the building, accessible by a door that is locked, but the postman does have the key. It seems like he just opens the door and throws our mail inside on the floor so anyone can see it. Is it just me or is mail supposed to be private? I mean everyone's personal information is inside our mail and we put our trust in the USPS to deliver our mail securely and safely. But is just seems like they don't give a crap. Sometimes our postman doesn't even deliver our mail. I have had many clients and creditors calling me asking me if I changed my address because the mail that they tried sending me got returned to them as undeliverable. What the ***?

My street is a very busy private street and there is not much parking. I have watched the mail person drive by my house and not give me mail when there is someone else parked in front of my house. I was also left notes written on my mail stating that I must make sure my mailbox is clear. They're not my cars. What am I to do?

The mailman is returning my mail to sender without a change of address being submitted. To my understanding, he has been doing this for several months without my knowledge and other residents' knowledge. He has now placed an express mail sticker inside my mailbox, where I can not receive any more mail. Management was not aware of the situation until I brought it to their attention on 2-1-2012, when I went to pick up my mail. I don't even know how long he has been sending my mail back because I just picked up some mail last week. He has taken it upon himself to send our mail back. I was told by one agency that he has returned 4 pieces of mail to them since September. I pay my rent at this address and I also have a 1 year lease that I just signed in December. I have lived at this residence since 2005. I am totally appalled at the United States Postal service.

You guys think you are in a bad situation?! I have mailed 8 packages on January 21, 2012. None of them have been delivered. They all say "accepted" and even "processed" in my city, but that's it. I have called every USPS number possible, and went down to the post office where I mailed them. They provided no help. The items i shipped were things I sold on eBay, and are worth hundreds of dollars. My previously 100% eBay feedback is going down the drain. This is pure theft! If anyone can help me with any sort of information, I will definitely compensate you well. Email me at **. Attached are my tracking numbers. The last package was sent on international priority mail.

I will never do business with the post office again. I will gladly pay extra after this experience to obtain more acceptable results from a real package delivery system. I hope they just shut the whole postal system right down. Good for nothing! I could have walked back and forth from sender to destination 4 times and counting, literally! I just hope it wasn't stolen like some 2 out of 100 packages are by this disorganized and ineffective service. By far, this is the slowest service I have ever seen, and the tracking is an absolute joke. I will never give the postal service another dime as long as I live! Maybe if enough people email FedEx about a letter service, they will do it!

My mail is being left in full public view in the garage/public and not being put in mailboxes. There was no delivery of mail for the last 2 days. Yesterday, I did call Ft. Dearborn and they sent someone out to deliver a few pieces. Today, the same thing.

Why is mail being left unsecured in a garage and not being put in mailboxes for distribution? Ft. Dearborn should be able to send a carrier to a high rise building that has many senior citizens.

I ordered a package via USPS. I got confused and sent it to my home address, not my PO box (I have no mailbox due to vandalism). So it was my fault up front for sure. But they claimed they tried to deliver it and couldn't and then shipped it back to sender when I didn't call to claim it at the Finleyville Post Office. But they never left a note/form saying they were trying to deliver it. So how the heck I am supposed to know to call them? They could have easily left it in the doorway, but instead just drove off.

I did track it online and saw that it was sent back. So I called to try to stop it but it was too late. My biggest complaint about all of this is that their process is to hold it for 2 days and then send it back. It clearly shows on the online tracking report that they only held it for 1 day before sending it back. With post office hours not at all in sync with the rest of the working world, how was I supposed to know the package was missing, know to call them and do it all with in a 24-hour period when they close at 4:30 p.m. Even worse, they had my name on the package. I have a PO Box at the Gastonville Post Office, literally 1/4 mile down the same street as the Finleyville Post Office.

The U.S.(as in nationwide! ) postal service has no way of typing in my name into a computer and seeing that I have a post office box (which they own) right down the street from them. I assume that my cell phone number was also on the box since I had to provide it to ship and no one bothered to pick up the phone and call me. The Post Office has lost its focus. It's not to move mail around. It's to deliver mail to people. I asked for the item to be shipped back without me paying and was told that couldn't happen. It was $17 so the cost isn't really the point, it's the total lack of service that they deliver. I also have to say though that the people at the Gastonville Post Office where I have my PO Box couldn't be better or nicer. Their service is incredibly forward thinking even though they are a much smaller operation.

I am waiting for a package. it has arrived at the USPS in ISC New York. It has been there since the 21st of January. Today is the 25th of January, and I checked, and it is still there. Pony express could have already arrived, but no, it still sits there. They raised their rates, and they keep raising, and the service gets worse. Now I know why I use email and online billing. It is more reliable than the USPS. I would even pay extra to send through UPS, FedEx, or DHL, than the USPS. Maybe I will receive my registered mail package, or maybe not. They are to email me with every step. I better not wait on that either. Just think, if they shut down all those post offices, it will take months to get you mail.

I have no idea what happened but I no longer get my mail find out why, and soon I have important documents that have to reach me and I hate to leave the house. If I have to I will have to get attorneys to make this work. I hate to have to work like this, but you have given me no choice. Get my mail to me.

I shipped something out on January 5, 2012 from Norwalk, CT (zip code 06855). It was a jacket in a Priority Box. It's January 22 now and it still has not arrived. I'm out almost $60.00 because it says it's still stuck at the Kearny, New Jersey station! I was told by a manager there that the package was manually scanned, which is unusual. The investigator just blamed the victim as to why I didn't get insurance.

So we moved to the ** zip in November of 2011. My husband receives workers comp every 2 weeks, it's mailed out on Wednesday since January of 2010. It is coming from Jersey City and usually is here Friday or Saturday, never, ever later. Well, not until I moved here. The month of November was fine, the month of December--wow, it even came on Friday before Christmas on the 23rd. But it is now January 21 and I still haven't received either checks mailed. I cancelled the first one mailed on January 4 and the insurance company made us wait until the 20th to issue a new one, which isn't here. But the one issued on the 18th--well, neither is that one.

So the postman acts like he did it even though he absolutely has no idea what we are talking about and insist that there is nothing that can be done. But I made a complaint with the first check and the manager called back. But he hasn't called my back yet on this. He said he would look into it. I believed him and certainly thought that I would at least never have the problem again. And when it didn't come yesterday or today, I knew something's wrong. Someone is taking it or keeping it or delivering it to the wrong address over and over again.

To me, this is still tampering with federal mail isn't it? And to top it off, I got no mail today. It's like I am getting some of the things but not everything. I forwarded my address and get so much mail from my previous address. The mailbox is usually almost over full. And now, I get one thing if I am lucky, and the missing mail has this new address so it shouldn't be delayed anyway.

This is horrible and when you try to talk to the mailman, he acts guilty. He doesn't look at you and keeps going. Mind you, he delivers here at 4:50pm everyday anyway so by that time, everything is closed to try and do something about it that day anyway. This is an apartment but each mailbox has its own key and it's gated so no one can just come in and break into the boxes and leave. They would be damaged and you would know if they didn't use a key. The first check hasn't been cashed as of now and has a stop pay on it.

Why haven't I received my packages or mail in the last week and a half? I have a package that was sent out by the sender on Monday, and it was 3 days for delivery. Yet Saturday, it still hasn't been delivered. What are some possible explanations?

The neighbor's small dog got out and because of that they refuse to deliver my mail. The dog lives in apartment C, I live in apartment B. What does their dog have to do with me! I've gone three times to the post office and have spoken to 2 different people. I spoke to a supervisor and he said that that dog is not my problem and he does not understand why they're holding my mail . Today, 1/21, I went back to the post office and was looking for the main person named Willis. I left a message as well as a voicemail and have gotten no responses. I should not be punished for others' mistakes. I'm not responsible for everyone's actions .

I recently moved from New Canaan, CT to San Juan, PR and sent a package on December 21, 2011 destined to Puerto Rico with signature confirmation number **. San Juan failed to deliver the package, resulting in me having to visit two different post offices 5-6 times each (Loiza post office and Miramar). And each time I was given a different story and location of my package, making me run around endlessly without any success. I opened a claim, case number **, and ended in not being able to locate it. When I contacted USPS for the 7th time, I was confirmed that due to the package having been at the post office for more than 15 days it has probably been returned to New Canaan; however, no one currently lives there as it is vacant for rent.

However, in the scans, when you check the system, the last update is from December 28th, 2011 when it states that a notice was left at the delivery address which was never found. There is no scan of the package returning to the post office nor leaving and returning to CT. It just disappeared. Since January 3rd I have been looking endlessly for this package. When I now go to both post offices here in PR they say the package could not have been returned because it was never scanned to leave PR back to CT.

The same mailman from route 4, who supposedly left the notice, was also caught on photograph yesterday throwing a package over the fence when he didn't even ring the bell or knock on the door to see if anyone was home. I would greatly, greatly appreciate your help as I am running out of options to try and find my package that contains irreplaceable items, my personal belongings, which have a lot of sentimental value more than anything else. Please contact me without hesitation if you need anymore information or have any suggestions of what else I could do.

I am not receiving my mail. I have tried everything. People at the main post office are horrible to deal with. They just say "wait for it".

No mail delivery or very late delivery. We are a business and we rely on mail!

On Thursday, January 5, 2012, an attempt was made to deliver a package that required signature. I received the slip to go to the Post Office for pick up or sign and leave for postman to return delivery.

I did not leave the slip on Friday, the 6th. However, on Saturday, January 7, I saw my postman Darryl, and I asked him if he could re-deliver. He said for me to give him the signed slip, and he would. I searched and found the slip, signed, and gave to Darryl for redelivery. He said that he would deliver the package on Monday.

Monday, no package. Tuesday, no package. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday; no package. I saw my postman Darryl on Saturday and asked him if he redelivered the package. He told me that he went back to the Post Office, left the slip, and asked the lady for the package; and the package was not there. He said that the package could not be found.

1. Darryl attempted to deliver the package. So, at one time, he had the package.
2. I signed the slip and gave to Darryl for re-delivery.

3. Darryl said that the package was not at the Post Office when he went to pick up for redelivery.

I have a copy of the cancelled check that was sent to the person who sent the package. And they have the receipt for Delivery Confirmation. The package was sent from ** Georgia 30317. I've spoken to Keli **, the sender. And she stated that the package was returned to her. I believe that the package was returned early without the opportunity for redelivery. Mrs. Keli should not be required to pay for the mailing of this package a second time.

A response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have not been receiving mail at the above address. Usually at this time of year, I receive 1099 forms and W2 forms, this has not occurred. Each day, I go to the mail box and it is empty. I have been expecting checks mailed from approximately 2 miles away from the above address, the check was mailed out on 1/6/12 and it has not arrived.

Bills are not received, however; I am still accountable for payment. Where is my mail going? I am not deceased.

This is not the first time I have had problems with Beverly Hills Post Office. Three years ago, I secured a post office box in New York City. I physically went into the New York post office and filled out the requisite forms including a change of address. During the 6 months I was in NYC, I was lucky if I received 10-12 pieces of mail. When I brought this to Beverly Hills Post Office attention, they stated I should have done this online. Is there any logic to this statement?

Another time, all my mail was in a heap on the outside of the building for everyone to see or pick up. Is this how mail is delivered? Is there no accountability? I need resolution.

I got a money order at post office and mailed it out. Where the money was going didn't reach the party. I sent on the 6th of January and I was told by the post office it will reach there on Saturday the 7th. The party that didn't received letter or money order sent a letter on the 10th. Number for money order tracking is **. I also tried tracking the number online and there is a problem with tracking through the post office. It doesn't work. Tried different old numbers from different things that work but not all.

I have been trying to do a simple change of address. How hard is this? They process these things all day long! I put it in on Dec 28 for Dec 28. Permanent move, family move. I haven't gotten any mail at all for over two weeks! My husband's paycheck is in the middle of all this and our rent's due in two days. My post office says, "Oh, well, you didn't get any mail for two weeks." ***! The national number has all the dates different than they do and they opened investigations, but in the meantime, how is my rent getting paid?

A certified letter with return receipt was sent on 12-21-11. A delivery was supposedly "attempted" on 12-23-11, but even the customer service reps could not access any information about it because the entire USPS post office computer system was down for weeks! Some hacker must have truly gotten even with the postal service and it has crippled them! I have never seen such a collapse of services for such a long period of time--it's mind-boggling! The post office's entire USPS national computer systems at their customer service offices have been down daily now for 2 weeks (maybe longer).

Whenever I called them, the reps told me they could do nothing to help me, including arranging a redelivery of the certified return receipt letter because they could not access anything! I could not even register a complaint because that part of their system was down too. I called them several times thinking no national system would be so hindered for so many days!

Going online repeatedly over many days was useless since online was not working properly either. Tonight I tried online again, and when I finally got through to where I was filling out their long form to redeliver a message appeared that said the letter had been sent back! I did not have a clue as the tracking does not show any change either. Because the computer systems at the main number are still down, I have no way of finding out even from a rep what date they sent it back.

I purchased an item on 12/22/2011 from eBay as a Christmas gift knowing that it would not get here by Christmas but surely by the end of the year. Here it is 1/6/2012 and still there's nothing. Their website states it is in Oklahoma City with no zip code showing like it normally does. My package is just sitting there since 12/31/2011 with no updates. Their customer service is not helpful and advised me that I can not submit a case until 14 business days (not including holidays or Saturday) from the date it was shipped which was the same day I purchased the item. I have never had an issue with UPS or FedEx.

No one knows where my priority package is. I visited the post office and even called them & no one knows. It's just stuck somewhere in OKC. This beats anything I have ever seen. I don't even want the gift anymore. I just want my money back & I can't do that because the seller has to receive the item back first! We should contact not our local media but the big dogs like MSNBC, CNN & CNBC to let them know what the USPS is doing to their customers. I didn't even get my W2s last year because of a forwarding epic failure on their part so someone at my old address could have access to where I work, my social security number, etc. This is a shame!

I mailed a money order from Wellston, Ohio 45692, to Mount Vernon, Ohio to the Adventist Book Center. They have been having problems receiving mail very late or not at all periodically. I called the post office in Mt. Vernon my self and had no luck. The letter was sent on the 22nd of December 2011 from Wellston post office. It takes one day to get mail there.

I have not received mail in the last five days. Prior to this mail was either stuffed in mailbox, left on top of mailbox in apartment building or sometimes I was even given neighbors mail. My manager has already filed a complaint as well as other neighbors but nothing has been resolved. I went to the post office where mail is shipped out from on January 5 at **, Hawthorne, CA to check if any mail was available. Representatives claim all mail received was sent out and delivered properly. As of today, I have not received any mail since Friday, December 30th.

I shipped something out on November 28th from Reisterstown, MD (zip code 21136). It was an XBOX game. I put it in a priority mail envelope and put the label and everything on it, thinking it would get there in 2-3 days to Jersey. Well, low and behold, it's January 4th now and it still has not arrived. I have to purchase a second game to send to the person in Jersey and now I'm out $120 because it says it's still stuck at the Kearny, New Jersey station! This is ridiculous and no one wants to help in any way, shape or form! They wonder why they are closing! I am sorry, I hope they close! They are horrible! I never had such bad service from UPS or FEDEX. USPS customer service and investigation for this matter is horrible! There is no investigation and they did not want to help at all when I called months ago. Now, who knows who has it or where it is!

I ordered an "express delivery" with signature confirmation on December 27th. It was supposed to arrive on the 30th. Nothing. Then, Saturday the 31st, at around 3:00PM, I received an email saying my package was delivered at 8:53AM that same day with an attachment of a scanned signature to prove it. The problem is that the business was closed on Saturday! So does USPS deliver to ghosts now? The scanned signature is from an employee who swears he didn't receive any packages that day since he wasn't working and the business was closed anyway.

That business receives lots of packages everyday so could it be possible that USPS's workers keep the scanned signatures and use it fraudulently? Well, I called customer service to file a complaint and they opened a case and said they were going to get back to me within 48 hours (I also got a case number!). Let's see. But last time I'll use USPS.

The postmen who deliver packages are not even attempting to deliver the packages. I have opened cases with the post office who claim to do open up investigations and do nothing. I received notices from the postman that my packages weren't delivered, yet when I track these packages online, they say they were delivered! I currently have four packages that have not been delivered to me. Two of those packages have been claimed to have been delivered and two others packages are missing.

I am not receiving my bills all of a sudden. It started two months ago when I realized I was not receiving my life insurance bill and this month, I have not received my Con Edison bill. Last week, one of my neighbors put my mail in the little mailbox outside of my door that had been put in her box instead of mine. This has been happening more frequently and I would like the problem addressed. I can't understand why, all of a sudden, my mail is not being delivered or placed in another's box.

The USPS false advertises their usage of priority mail. They do not deliver within three to five days and they do not pick up packages unless you live near an Air Mail Facility (AMF). I mailed a package on the 23rd of December from Salisbury, NC and it arrived in Charlotte on the 27th. Since then, by using their tracking info and talking with the party that is supposed to receive this package, the package as of yet has not moved from Charlotte, NC. This is less than 50 miles away from me and this package is supposed to be going to Puerto Rico. As of today, it has taken 7 working days and there has been no movement. The tracking number is **. Click on the details and you will see it has not yet moved or been tracked.

I have a PO Box for the majority of my mail and the month of December has had more days of no mail than mail. I was mailed a Christmas card from Junction City, KS on 12/12/2011 and it is now 12/27/2011 with no sign of it. I also have 2 magazine subscriptions (monthly) which have not been delivered. I submitted 2 emails via usps.com to register complaint but no responses yet. I want to sue!

I mailed the package on the 19th of Dec from Bitters & 281 substation, San Antonio, TX. I paid $40 for Priority Mail to LaGrange, IL (Chicago). It did not make it by Christmas or at all so far. Packages were mailed the next day and arrived in Davenport, IA and Moline, IL. What happened between San Antonio and the Chicago suburbs?

It could not be worse. Our regular postman of 5 years was taken off our route in November 2011. Since then, we have had a floater. It was disastrous. One of my letters was found in the West Building although it was written East. The following week, a letter of mine was found in the "deceased" Christmas cards. A registered ** was sent across town to a ** Building. We have a new floater every day. We never know when the mail comes at 11 or 7-9 at night. I have to drive clear across town to pick up registers because no one informs me. This is very questionable service. Maybe the government should give their non-functioning postal service to Wal-Mart.

After ordering merchandise from a vendor with said parcel posted on December 14th, 2011, my delivery (priority mail, insured with delivery confirmation) was due to arrive on December 17, 2011. From the Baton Rouge, LA sorting facility (after being scanned in), it was misrouted to Denham Springs, LA. The mistake was realized and was scanned out of the Denham Springs, LA facility and sent back to Baton Rouge, LA sorting facility for proper routing. Since the December 18, 2011 no updates have been posted on the USPS tracking website.

I have called the Gonzales, LA facility for help and although those I spoke with were understanding, I was given the same repeated excuses and my calls were not returned as promised. I have called the Denham Springs, LA facility for help and those I spoke with were very sympathetic (with one worker admitting to me she'd had items stolen by USPS workers before), although they were not able to help besides providing confirmation that my parcel was scanned out and sent back the Baton Rouge, LA sorting facility.

Any and all attempts to contact USPS personnel at the Baton Rouge, LA was to no avail as no one would pick up the phone. The voice mailbox was full and transfers to an attendant also failed. It is the December 22, 2011 and I have received no updates as to my situation. The USPS has lost my confidence in every way at this point. I clearly see that there is a very valid reason that USPS is slowly going bankrupt, and my case (as well as many others listed here) is just "more par for the course". Ineptitude, lack of professionalism, dishonesty, inability to help customers beyond what a tracking website has to say as well as the lack of motivation/drive/desire to help paying customers will drive the USPS further into a failing/bankrupt status. I will never use the USPS again!

Although you have a strange name, I will ask of you many things. But first I ask you to look inside your beating heart. My building is still shown as "building does not exist." We do exist and have had for the past paychecks and several other pi years. Several pieces of mail have never arrived and in many cases returned to sender saying the address does not exist. Check Google. We still do not exist in there. Come on! I know you're having problems but we still are paying people to deliver the mail. OK, at least we are paying something for someone to do something, past or present. The point is I haven't gotten my mail from people who were counting on you to deliver it. I can't pay bills, rent, buy food or have a decent night's sleep, resulting in a future ulcer and more panic attacks. Thanks.

I use Verizon for my cell phone company. On 12/14/2011, I receive my bill from Aug 26, 2011. It took 4 months for this bill to come to my home to get delivered. Some mail I never do receive. Also a few months ago my insurance agent called about my policy about to lapse because I never received the bill at all that she sent. The agent knew that I always paid my bills on time.

I can no longer count on bills or anything else being delivered by mail to my home. I am not sure if it is a local problem or just the US postal service.

I was supposed to receive a box from Walmart on 12/01 or 02/2011. I have not recveive that box. When I called the post office, my call keeps to be sending to voice mail box. They need to put attention to customers calls.

I am not receiving my first class mail at my home. I have called three times and I complained but with zero results. I get calls from the Post Master making excuses but nothing gets done. Someone at the post office is just dumping my mail in a box there because it's not being returned to the people who are sending it. My roommate is not receiving all her mails either. They need to speak with all the employees at that location and make them aware that I am back at this address and I want my mail. I think because I was gone for a year, that they don't think I am here and don't bother to look. Someone is not following up on my three complaints and I now have missing checks and other first class mails.

I haven't received any mail for over 30 days. I placed an address change form form my previous address, 30 days before I moved. I received confirmation of the address change for myself, as well as my mother (I receive her mail because she's in a nursing home/I'm her P.O.A.). I've been at my new address since November 4th, and have not received my mail (nor my mothers) to this day. I can't get the post offices to help me find my mail at all.

Each time I go to see if they have received my mail, they just answer me very quickly, "we don't have your mail" and brush me away. No help in locating it, just like they are saying, "get away, it's no big deal your mail is missing". Why place change of address, if you're not going to forward it. Now, I have no idea where my mail is sitting. I have been to my old post office, as well as my new one, over 6 times, but can't get any help. I feel that the post office has lost my mail, or left it at my old address, and it has been stolen by the new tenants of the address. I need someone to find my mail, to do their jobs, and forward it as they are supposed to. Why are most post office employees so rude and angry?

So I have lived in the same place for the past three years. I am literally across the street from the post office. For the past two years, the carrier for my route doesn't deliver my bills. I get junk mail, but my bills are almost always sent back. I am constantly getting phone calls from companies in which I have services asking me to verify my address, and when I do they are like "hmm, we have the right address." I got a call this morning telling me a bill was placed in collections because I never received the bill and they tried to send me paperwork for it and it was sent back too!

I've talked to the post office. They said they would talk to the carrier and the issue is still happening. This is starting to reflect badly on my credit because the mailman isn't delivering the mail. I'm at my wits end with this! I live in an apartment complex. I don't know if it's that he's placing it in another unit's box or if he's just not delivering it all. But my name is on the inside of my box.

On several occasions, I received paper notice from the postal delivery person that we were required to pick up package at local post office because he/she tried to deliver it but no one was home. I observed postal worker on more than one occasion making no attempt to deliver any box when the notice was given. I don't want to go to the post office every time I receive a box in the mail. Delivery charge includes drop-off at the house of the recipient. I feel that if UPS and Federal Express can make medium/large package deliveries directly to people's residence, so should the USPS be required to. I feel that the postal worker is too lazy and very deceptive.

I have been having problems with my mail since I moved to my new address 2 years ago that is not new. I had to open a PO Box last year in June 2010 to Nov. 2010. We got control of my mail. So, the post office suggested that I forward my mail back to my home address and we did that. It seems that something happened. No one knows or can help me at this post office location. I have already spoken to every supervisor and also the main post office downtown. Everyone seems to want to help but the problem is not being corrected. It has been 2 years of problems with the postal service at this location.

Now I have recently been advised that my mail has gotten into the wrong hands and my identity has been stolen. So, I do not know what to do anymore. I have letters stating that the mail service has been sending my mail back. They told me that the system is being corrected and that I should contact all my business that is being sent as mail to that address, which is **. I am doing it and that is my address. But my mail still does not come. Someone or the mail system is sending my mail back to sender. Please help me.

I seem to only receive 50% of things mailed to me. My bank calls weekly, concerned that they cannot contact me by mail, and they have little faith that I am providing the correct address. I also recently was issued a new state ID, that never made it to my door. I have been in contact with my local post office and they assure me that there are no problems on their end. I've been at the same address for nearly a year (went through all the motions when moving to correctly identify my new address) and am curious what all I have not received.

I shipped out a verified check on November 15th from IN and they said that it would arrive in CA, no later than the 21st. Its been fifteen days and the check still has not arrived. It was to pay off a car loan so they could send me the title (so I could sell the car).

Now, I'm not sure how long the buyer is going to wait. I consider this a loss of sale. Good old USPS, should have learned from the previous incidents.

My postal worker rang my doorbell a single time. I answered the door in less than 10 seconds after the doorbell rang, just in time to see the postal worker closing the door of the mail delivery truck and speeding off. In the mailbox at the curb, I found a "Sorry We Missed You! " notice for undelivered certified mail.

I just received an envelope that was dated, October 28th 2011, from a month ago. It is unacceptable for an envelope that was shipped to be from ten blocks from my actual apartment, to be delivered one month later. It was an invitation to my best friend's wedding that I received a week after her wedding. I also haven't received a save the date from my college roommate's wedding. It keeps getting returned to her.

Wow, looks like I'm not the only person who has a beef with the USPS.

Here's my story. I was shipping out some games and DVDs to my boyfriend who lives out in New York on Tuesday, October 15, 2011. So, assuming that the good old USPS in Texas City, Texas was going to deliver it, they told me it would arrive at my boyfriend's place on Monday, October 21, 2011. "Okay, it's not too bad, I can understand how far the distance is," I said, paying the clerk the $10.31 for shipping.

So, what happened? It's been almost two weeks, and he hasn't gotten anything from the USPS at all.

I have lived in this house since 1993 and have received mail every day since we moved in. This is the second time within one month that there was no mail delivery. The first time it happened, I called the post office and they said the carrier had an emergency. Aren't there floaters who deliver mail where/when needed? Isn't it an absolute that the mail be delivered? I am not bothering to call about Wednesday's non-delivery. I don't want more excuses.

I have had ongoing mail delivery problems with our carrier for years. I have now reached the breaking point and am done with calling the local district manager to file a complaint with no result, as he has stated that his hands are tied when it comes to reprimanding a union employee. We have had credit card statements given to the wrong house and not given to us until it is past due and gift certificates not delivered.

There seems to have been a disagreement with a staff person and mailperson. But now the mailperson refuses to deliver to the tenants who reside in this supportive housing environment. They are disabled and USPS will not deliver the mail. If there is a complaint then it should be between the mailperson and the staff but should not affect the tenants who did nothing. When can their mail be delivered again? Every time we call, they keep saying we are on our way to deliver mail and they don't show up. It's been 6 days now.

I am a subscriber to Entertainment Weekly but haven't received an issue in over two weeks. The publisher assures me that they are indeed mailing my periodical and my post office assures me that they are not receiving them. The bottom line is that I am not receiving them. I'd like to know where they are and what I need to do to make sure I receive all of my mail, not just the junk mail.

Paid $47 for a $600 guitar to be shipped and it was never delivered. Obviously it was stolen by a USPS employee. Obviously, they don't take their job too seriously. Here's my tracking info. Was supposed to be delivered 11/18/11 and is out for delivery on 11/19/11 and never got to the destination.

We didn't get our mail for one week. We never changed addresses. He just assumed that we moved! I spoke to him at the post office, and he said he spoke to some neighbors, and said I'm no longer there! He was talking to me in a rude way. I spent 2 hours trying to take care of this issue, and I still don't know what happened to my mail for a whole week!

Sept. 2010,carrier rings doorbell and starts walking away. Dogs start barking, two dogs break the front door open (due to faulty latch which was fixed immediately). I start to go after a now running carrier. The carrier maces both dogs (justifiably) and at that point we have regained control of dogs. I notice the carrier bleeding from his knee. I ask him if he got bit, he replied,"Yes". I look at the knee, and it appeared as though he skinned it on the brick wall of the house.

He called supervisors, they took him to a hospital. We were told that they would not be delivering our mail, I never received anything in writing stating such. After 3 weeks of them periodically coming out to our house, and lying saying it was a bite, we called animal control (note the post office never did). Animal control did not treat it as a dog bite. There is no evidence of a dog bite from that date. After another week of phone calls, and post office refusing to deliver our mail, or call animal control, one day our mail started again.

One year later, no problems.

On 10-22-2011, non-normal route carrier delivers our mail. One dog (one of the accused from above), heard the mailman, pulled open the inside door, jumped up on the push latch of the screen door, and ran out. The carrier tried to defend himself hitting the dog with his mailbag (justifiably) and this time the dog did bite the carrier. We called 911, after he talked to 911, he called his supervisor. When the supervisor arrived he started yelling at us saying that this was a second bite. I told him he was lying and that animal control will know it. He then said that we would never get our mail delivered.

At that same time the carrier was in the ambulance, giving his statement to animal control. He told them that the door was closed and the dog opened it. Animal control then came to me as the owner of the dog. After talking with animal control, and being cited for animal not confined, and animal registration, I complied with the 10-day mandatory quarantine. Note, the dogs shots were/are current, and the registration actually expired on this exact day.

Within the next 3 days, we replaced the front screen door with a new steel security door, which is a turnknob and deadbolt. We also put up a 'beware of dog' sign at the front door. The day we picked up our dog from quarantine we installed a mailbox at the end of our driveway, facing the sidewalk. Note, we got a new registration at this time from animal control. The mailman has walked on this sidewalk in front of our house daily for 20+ years, and continues to do so today. We still have not received anything in writing from the post office.

We are not getting our mail if our front door is open because our carrier says she is afraid of our dog. Our storm door is always locked because my dad was wheel chair bound and my Mom is his care giver during the day. We have at home care coming and going like PT and a nurse. My dad is on many medications which come through the mail and our carrier wrote on the package of meds that she would not deliver the mail since the door was open.

We had the manager come out and she checked the door and we even let her in the house to check the door and she said that a Westi dog could not open push the door open. We have complained to the post master in our area and still nothing has been done. I have called and made a complaint and still nothing has been done. On Saturday November 12, my mom and I where outside raking leaves and she saw us and she just ignored us and just walked right by the house and would not even hand us our mail. If I need to get a lawyer than I will to get this solved.

For the last six months, the mail delivery at my address at Balmoral Club Condominiums in Southfield, MI has been terrible. It is an apartment style condominium, and mail is delivered to wrong boxes, the mailed is folded and swished into the box, and on two occasions, the mailbox was left open. I tried to contact the supervisor for 48076, but to no avail, as the phone is always busy, or if someone answers they say no one is there, and please call back.

I have reported these incidents in person at least three times, and nothing has changed. I am the Vice-President on the Board of Directors in this community, and all of my residents have the same complaints. I have been late on two bills because I did not receive them, as they probably went to the wrong mailbox. Also my bank statement was in another resident's mailbox' and left oiutside my door. I am very concerned with identity theft, and with the attitude of the post office, I am sure it will happen. I want an answer and a solution.

I had a package that was sent to me via priority mail will signature confirmation. Late in the day, I went to check my mailbox and sitting in it was a slip saying "Oops, we missed you". No, really? Was I supposed to sit at my mailbox all day so you could get my signature? Lazy mailman, no wonder USPS lost 5 billion dollars last year.

I ordered through Amazon on 10/26/11 and they shipped my package via USPS. When I tracked the item, it showed that a delivery has been attempted and a notice left on 11/1/11. That was a lie!

Another package that was sent on 11/3/11from my mother overseas, was also delayed. When I contacted the customer service center on 11/12/11, I was advised to contact my local station. I called the office on 11/14 and they said that someone would bring one of the packages by if someone was there and they would look for the second one. My hubby was there all day and no package. They updated the system to say that an attempt was made and a slip was left. Liars!

I did so, spoke with a Supervisor (Ozie) who informed me that I could come by after hours (since I leave work after they are closed) and the evening supervisor would give me my packages. I just had to call the number he gave me. I followed the instructions he gave me and the evening supervisor (Ms. Murray) told me that was against the rules and she could not give me my packages. Why would one supervisor tell me that for another one to say that she could not? I asked her that and then she changes her story to tell me that Ozie did not say anything to her about this and I would have to call back in the morning. I called back 11/16 and was informed that Ozie was gone for the day.

In addition to all this, one of the packages could not be located when I asked if both packages where there to be picked up. I then asked, how could a package that you claimed you attempted to deliver, not be there? She went and finally found it. I asked if there was someone there that I could file a formal complaint with. She advised me that I could go online and call an 800 number. I asked why did I have to go online if I needed to call a 800 number. She gave me the web address of USPS.com and that website is about as useful as wet paper towels.

I live in a rural area. Over the past six years, our postal delivery person has dropped large packages that will not fit in the mailbox on our car port. Recently, I received a calendar that would not fit in our mailbox. The postal delivery person left it leaning against our mailbox post and it happened to be raining and the calendar got wet. I complained to the post office master. She said that they don't have to deliver any packages that won't fit in the mailbox. She said that in the future, they would not deliver any packages that won't fit, but they would leave a will-call slip for me to pick-up the package(s). I recently ordered some items and paid for UPS delivery. I was informed that those packages are also left at the PO due to an agreement that the PO and UPS have. Is this the proper routine for the PO?

On many occasions, I do not receive mail. I have called and complained before about this. I recently had a credit card (1 that I needed) place a block on my account due to returned mail! I have never checked my mail and have not been away from my residence. I have a rural mailman and it seems he cannot be bothered to deliver mail all the time, only when he feels like it. That's how I feel. Also, if I have certified mail, he does not come to my upstairs door. He uses an air horn and blows it and then takes off before I can get downstairs to get the item. It gets sent back to the Sherman Ave. post office for me to get there. I have tried to get all my mail sent to the PO Box where I know it will get placed as my home address. It is just too unreliable.

I moved from my old house in July of this year. I moved to my mom's apartment, and now I'm in my own apartment. All my mail is going to my grandmother's house, which is down the street from my old house, addressed to my new address, with no forward sticker. Why is this happening? I am not getting all my important mail, and I would like to know why, because I never changed my address to her house.

My bank card was sent to grandmother's house. Someone activated the card, and overdrawn my account. My bridge card was addressed to my address as well, but I am afraid that it will also be sent to my grandmother's house, and I wont get that card either. I want to know who is responsible for this, and why is this happening.

A weekly news magazine 'The Week' is not being delivered/or is delivered 1 to 2 weeks late. The local postmaster says my mail is being sorted electronically at another location before it is sent to Old Greenwich. My carrier says he delivers what is given to him. Why do I receive other publications, catalogues, solicitations all similarly sized but not 'The Week'? It is useless a week or two late. Publisher has assured me it is sent on a timely schedule to be delivered every Friday as appropriate.

Despite multiple logged complaints and even a letter from Ms. Crystal ** at Consumer Affairs (case# **) stating what is and is not acceptable to mail in a $4.95 flat rate envelope, the women at the Hope Mills post office at 28348 are still refusing to mail my packages because of their personal opinion (Lauri being one of them) of what they think should be mailed in them. Please see the enclosed letter I provided to them that was sent to me by Ms. Crystal ** at USPS Consumer Affairs to help us mail our packages.

Even showing the women at the Hope Mills PO the letter we received from Ms. Crystal ** at Consumer Affairs which would allow us to continue mailing our flat rate envelopes there, the women at the Hope Mills PO still will not adhere to it and refuse to serve us with our needs and we are forced to drive to the other post offices in the neighboring city to mail the same packages. The first time we showed them the letter, they did adhere to it, stating, "now we know." But they also told us that the packages will be held at the PO in the receivers city and that the receiver would have to pay the difference in cost because the envelope was not flat.

Just to let you know, the other PO personnel in Fayetteville are extremely helpful, and they are aware that the Hope Mills women do not follow USPS rules. They have received multiple complaints from people who also go to Fayetteville to use the PO so that they can avoid the Hope Mills PO. On a logical note, please allow me to illustrate the error in what I have been told by these women. I was told by the women at the Hope Mills post office that in order to ship anything in a flat rate $4.95 envelope, it has to be flat and cannot exceed 1 inch in thickness and cannot change the shape of the envelope in any way. Another time, she told me it could not be bigger than an inch. And yet I called a moment ago, and Lauri's answer changed again, telling me that there was no limit as to how much I could put in there, but it had to be flat and that it could not be a tee shirt but could only be paper.

To experiment, I put 1 inch of 8.5x11 paper (a standard paper size by any account) in a flat rate envelope. It was too much paper and I could not seal it. It was too thick. I then took it out and put of an inch of paper in and still could not adequately seal it. I reduced it down to 3/8 of an inch of paper inside the flat rate envelope and could finally get it sealed. So, this, by the Hope Mills explanation, would be an acceptable flat rate envelope. The only problem is, I can send 3/8 inch of paper (13 oz with envelope) via first class for $3.28. I thought the whole point of flat rate was to save money on shipping. If it fits, it ships, right? Not in Hope Mills, NC. In Hope Mills, if Lauri agrees with what is inside of your package, it ships. She is discriminating against harmless content.

To reiterate, I have complained, literally a dozen times by calling 1-800-ASK-USPS, and each and every time I called, they told me that the women at the post office in Hope Mills were in error, and I should be able to ship something that is more than an inch, as long as it fits fine and does not require additional sealing tape or reinforcements. One gentleman at 1-800-ASK USPS told me that I could ship a brick as long as it fit and I didn't need to tape it up. Another woman there told me that she had mailed baseballs in the flat rate $4.95 envelopes and that shipping an object with those dimensions is perfectly acceptable. We are not shipping baseballs or bricks, but are shipping onesies and small t-shirts. Small items of clothing that do not exceed 1 inch in thickness in most cases.

I am a clinical psychologist and logic and communication is my expertise. I do not tolerate rudeness, and that is what they have been to my wife and I when we have tried to mail the flat rate envelope with a onesie in it. One of the women even yelled at us when we were 5th in line that we cannot mail our packages there. They will not even adhere to the letter we were sent by Ms. Crystal ** at Consumer Affairs. Additionally, when I told them that every other post office we had been to in the U.S. mailed these happily, the woman told me, "You can take your flat rates to the Cedar Creek PO because they will mail those over there, but we wont."

Again, 3/8 inch of 8.5x11 paper with envelope = 12.8.oz. If sending first class would cost $3.28 from North Carolina to Washington State. It does not make sense to even have a flat rate envelope for $4.95 like that if the women at the Hope Mills PO are correct. It would be false advertising because it is not true to, "If it fits, it ships."

We send literally between 600 and 1,200 flat rate envelopes per year, but we recently relocated to Hope Mills, NC from WA state, and this is the only post office of any we have been to anywhere in the United States that will not serve us. We have mailed these in Utah, Idaho, Kentucky, and every other state between WA and NC. We have always been treated with respect, until we met the women at Hope Mills. Again, my business is understanding people, and I think I understand these women, but that will do you no good. I do know that unless someone actually speaks to them and makes them acknowledge that they should adhere to USPS official rules, they will continue to cause problems for you and us, and the rest of Hope Mills.

Lastly, please do not simply forward this complaint to the Hope Mills Post office to deal with. This was previously done by the complaint department and I got a rude voice mail from the same woman we have so much problem with there, stating that we cannot mail flat rate envelopes that are not flat. She was less than respectful in the VM, and I still have the voice mail recorded. I am begging you, for the good of our time, effort, gasoline consumption from running to the other post offices, and my sanity to please, once and for all, contact all of the employees at Hope Mills and set them straight so that we may go to our local post office to mail our items rather than the neighboring city. It is ridiculous that I should have to do this. I have wasted so much time, effort and money because of these women.

My next step, if this is not resolved immediately, is to file a lawsuit claiming false advertising, and I will take the USPS to court. At that point, I will call my friend at channel 11 and ask them to do an investigative piece on the treatment I have been given with all of my documentation and the recorded voice mail from this woman. I do not want to do that because I am too busy and many USPS workers are wonderful, but the USPS has not addressed this in an adequate manner despite my multiple attempts to resolve the issue, and despite the multiple complaints and the poor ratings of this post office online. Nothing has been done to directly deal with the women at the Hope Mills office.

My mother is permanently disabled following a brain aneurism 6 years ago. She is unable to physically get to her mail box. This past year a new individual started delivering her mail. Since then her mail has been returned 4 times. I have gone to the Mill Creek Post Office and shared my concern and was told to have my mother's doctor write a note regarding my mother's disability and send it to the postmaster. I asked for a formal form to give to the doctor and was told there wasn't one. This was done, however, the postmaster returned the letter to the doctor that the doctor had sent. So, the doctor sent the letter to my mother's address.

This Mill Creek Post Office in return sent all of my mother's mail back because she was unable to get her mail. I placed a call and spoke to a very rude man, second in command at the post office. He interrupted me when I was explaining what had occurred and accused me of not following through and having my mother's doctor send the letter. He is the same individual who had told me to ask the doctor to send a letter. He then hung up on me. I called back and proceeded to try to explain that the doctor did send the letter twice and I was hung up on a second time. I called a third time and an individual named Bob, would not give me the name of the first person I spoke with. I informed him I would be filing a formal complaint.

I am thoroughly disgusted with the attitude of the individuals who lack professionalism, class, concern for others and who simply cannot seem to do the right thing, especially for an individual with disabilities! I am appalled! It is time that these individuals lose their job security if they are unable to deal with the public in a kind and professional manner. My mother still isn't receiving her mail and this is a total injustice! Shame on you Mill Creek Post Office in Mill Creek, WA!

On Monday, November 7, 2011, no mail was delivered or picked up from my curb side mail box. We have been having problems this past month, with late and no deliveries since the 92009 Carlsbad Post Office adjusted routes. My original route driver now starts one house east of me, and my house now gets mail very late, or not at all.

A check that was put into my curb side mail box along with two other letters were not picked up, and remained outside on the street overnight. The local Post Office has not responded to my, and my adjacent neighbors' complaints.

I have had repeated requests for redelivery, no delivered and multiple instances of notices never left claimed to be left by carrier. I have filed multiple complaints to the post office and have not heard back from anyone at my local post office. Often I receive no notice at all and have had items returned after not being delivered due to their lack of competence.

I mailed a large brown envelope to the Belgian Consulate in Atlanta, GA from Miami Beach, FL early October 2011. It has been over a month now and they haven't received anything. The envelope contains personal documents for which I had to spend time and money getting proper certification/notary/apostilles. What do I do now?

This complaint is for the carrier who delivers mail on my regular carrier's days off. She always leaves an orange "Sorry we missed you" card rather than knocking on my door to deliver the package to me. Because I track packages online, I arrange to be home when one is coming so that I won't miss it.

This behavior is dependable: I never receive packages delivered on regular carrier's days off. I have spoken to 2 USPS cashiers and one man who work in the post office's "back room" (where mail is sorted). They have nothing to tell me except 1) there's no phone number I can call, 2)Postal carriers sometimes make mistakes, 3) perhaps I have a problem of some kind that makes me think "it always happens to me". When I try calling my post office, no one answers. This has happened for 3 years, some of my packages have even been returned to sender because the carrier left no orange card.

The USPS refuses to deliver my mail because I moved the mailbox from the street level to a mail slot in the garage, about 4 ft. back! Originally, the delivery person didn't have to get out of their vehicle to deliver my mail. But I recently had some major remodel done. The area where the mailbox was is now a parking zone flush with the street and a mail slot was cut on the side of my garage. It looks a lot better and also prevents mail theft. Yet, the USPS now refuses to deliver my mail until I install a mail box at street level again. Neither the architect nor the contractor warned me of that potential issue and I expressed this to the local postmaster, also showing her before and after pictures of the area. But they don't care. The fact is that others in the area have garage mail slots (that's how I got the idea). But I found out after they received approval before switching over. So, this is nothing more than a discretionary decision by an over empowered administrator.

I bought item from eBay. The seller sent with priority mail and the delivery confirmation (updated on 10/29) showed out for delivery. I never received it. I went to PO on Halloween and never received it. They lied and said it was on the truck. Three to four days later, tracking has not been updated. I have not received anything. Nothing yet. I am reporting it everywhere there is an agency and soon to the police. I will sue the post office.

On September 30, 2011, I went to the Pino Station in Albuquerque to mail a certified return receipt letter to the New Mexico Health Dept., 1190 St. Francis Dr., Ste. 1300, Santa Fe, NM 87502. The receipt # is **. On October 3, 2011, the post office left a notice at the health dept. That is the last time anything had been done with my letter. On October 18, 2011, I sent a duplicate letter certified to the same address and received the delivery confirmation dated October 19, 2011.

I went to the Pino Station post office to inquire about the whereabouts of my original letter and they told me to contact the Santa Fe Post Office at 505-438-1540. I spoke with Tonisha in Santa Fe on Monday, who told me that she would have to look into it and would call me the next day to update me on the status. I informed her that I was very concerned since the letter contained personal and confidential information. I didn't hear from her so I phoned her today, Wednesday. Tonisha told me that she has been very busy and didn't have time to look into it. She told me when she has the time, she will check. It has been over a month since I sent the original letter and no one seems to be willing to help me. Again, there is a risk of my personal information getting into the wrong hands. I would like this matter followed-up and the letter returned to me.

After holding my packages over a month without notice, failing to honor re-delivery requests and an exasperating and extended exchange, the Post Office advises me to leave a note in my mailbox regarding my permission for them to leave my packages in the screen door, which I taped immediately. It would be "easier than them making a note of it". The following day, my mother hands me a new package explaining to me that "Beverly" signed for it, just like she did for a previous one. Who is Beverly? When did I make that arrangement with the Post Office? I wrote in large letters in simple, courteous language, not to mention the masquerade with the retail clerk and the Delivery Supervisor at the post office the day before. This is defiantly wrong in too many ways.

I receive packages almost weekly, so now I do not feel secure with my packages considering I may be receiving a.)a vindictive response or b.)the incompetence level of such a small branch. I am obviously not comfortable with any random stranger taking up warmly with the postal carrier in regard to my packages but am leery about making any other arrangements with them.

My item tracking number as shown in USPS tracking result ** was delivered at 2:45 pm on August 2011, but I never signed for it and never saw it.

We, my roommate and I, have been living here approximately three (3) weeks. The 3rd day here, the postal lady approached me while outside in my yard and said, "So, when are you going to put a mailbox up here by the gate so I don't have to walk up to your door?" There is a mail box, but it is at my front door, which I pointed out to her. She walked away and I assumed that answered her question.

Since then, no mail has been delivered and Saturday the 29th of October, after confirming a package placed on her truck at 10:a m by a U.S.P.S. representative that same day, she shows up and my roommate and watched her walk by us and I asked her if we had any mail as well as a package for me, and she ignored us and kept walking. I am now required to go to the local Post office to pick up my package and any mail that she may have withheld. This also includes my roommate's mail. Can she legally do this? Does this constitute theft on her behalf? Please, this has gone on longer than it should have. Please take care of this as soon as possible.

I give the USPS the lowest rating possible. They have failed to deliver three pieces of my mail this year alone that contained checks. The cost to me was $30 each for stop payment fees. Two of the mail pieces were deposited in the local post office drop box for local delivery and the third was picked up at my home for first class delivery in Texas. Although all three had a clear return address, correct postage and clear delivery address, none were delivered nor returned. The only common denominator that I am able to determine is the lack of a bar code. This is inexcusable! Where are my undelivered/unreturned mail pieces?

The Brooklet US post office refuses to deliver mail to a receptacle that I have on my property for nearly 10 years, because only my farm is there with no residence. My kids get on the bus there. I go there daily to care for my animals and check the mail, yet they say they must deliver to my "house".

I had a package that was sent from Florida via priority mail. I never received it and when I called the sender, I was told it was returned stating no person at this address. I said what? I receive packages from this certain individual all the time and I never have an issue before.

Now for some reason, my mail isn't making it and I don't try to say the address wasn't correct because it was. I don't want to hear a bunch of bologna, I want the problem fixed. The sender needs to be reimbursed and the package should be sent out again for free. I'm not happy with this. We pay for priority for a certain reason.

I mailed a package on October 13th from Columbia, SC to Memphis, TN. I was told that it will be arriving in five days.

To this day, October 26th 2011, the package has not been delivered to the party. I called the post office in Memphis and was told that, since my package was not priority or first class mail, it would be delivered whenever workers got around to it. The worker could not give me any idea as to when the package would be delivered. I am losing faith in the USPS.

On September 12, 2011, I mailed a certified letter "Tracking Label: **". On October 11, 2011, I received a pink "Notice" slip stating that the certified letter I sent out was being returned to me and that it would be at the Mt. Holly PO for me to pick up. The next day I went to pick it up and was told it could not be found. So I waited until October 25, 2011 to go and get it, giving time for it to be found. When I got there I was handed a "Track/Confirm -Intranet Item Inquiry - Domestic" form stating the item had been delivered on October 13, 2011.

Now, I do not believe it to be an unreasonable expectation on my part that a certified letter, going 2 blocks, not take 31 days to be delivered. Nor is it unreasonable to expect that when one receives a pink "Notice" slip to pick up said item, because it went "undelivered", should actually be there when I go to pick it up, and that the people at the post office not arbitrarily redeliver, without my request to do so, a letter I was expecting to recover. It clearly states on the pink "Notice" slip that if the item is not picked up or delivered within 15 days the item would be returned to me. As you can see, I mailed it on September 12, 2011 and got a pink "Notice" slip on October 11, 2011, a total of 29 days.

This would normally not be a problem (although disappointing), except that this particular letter is an evidence in a "Landlord Tenant" court case where timely notice is of the essence. Although the 31 days is regrettable, it is the actual handling of the situation with which I take issue. This letter should be in my hands now, yet it still isn't.

Also, when I asked for the name of the individual I dealt with, she refused to provide her full name. For identification she said her first name is Lisa and she is a middle-aged, African-American woman. Please note that Lisa would not give her full name after I told her it was for Consumer Affairs matter. Although, when I called the Mount Holly Post Office postmaster, I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Gus ** (**) who had no problem stating his name.

The mishandling of this piece of mail could, in all honesty, cause me to be evicted from my home, and lose my most precious housing assistance from HUD. If I may suggest, if I had the letter I could just present it to the court and that would be that. But since I don't have it, I do not think it is unreasonable to request a letter, on Post Office stationary, from the Post Master in charge of the Mount Holly, NJ PO explaining what happened and why it took so long for a certified letter to be delivered. As long as it is on PO stationary and sent through the mail it should be accepted in court. I would also like to find out whether it is USPS policy to refuse giving one's full name regarding Consumer Affairs matters.

Thank you for your kind services. I would like a response to my requests as expeditiously as possible, please. It is illogical if the USPS has a policy of not giving out full names and then asking for one on a complaint form, or not applying it to all USPS personnel.

I mailed three boxes from Turkey to my apartment in Orlando in June 2011. As of now, they have never been delivered and two of the boxes was shipped back to Turkey plus a return fee charge of almost $300. And if I want them to be shipped back again, I found out that I have to pay return postal fee again. One box had been sitting at the JFK custom and was not claimed for almost three months and USPS is doing nothing about this and not offering any kind of help. They keep telling me that the Turkish post office should write a complain and ask USPS why the boxes were shipped back.

When I got in touch with the Turkish post office, they can't do anything about it and said that the USPS should not charge for the refund. I've been going crazy in between to parties and none of them is doing anything to help me. My personal belongings are sitting at the JFK custom and Turkish post office. What is this? Why is USPS so negligent and they didn't deliver the boxes in the first place?

There is a management office in my apartment complex where the boxes are delivered and then we got a notification in our P.O. box that we have a parcel delivered to be picked up. None of these were applied. They just claimed that no one claimed the boxes and they shipped them back. What a shame to you USPS. What a shame to you. This is so called gov sector to help with mail???

I arranged to have my mail forwarded to Brigantine, New Jersey for the summer. After a month of not receiving all my mail, I signed up for Premium Forwarding at a cost of approximately $300. My mail was supposed to be mailed to me all together via priority mail, and I was to receive them every Friday.

I called Mr. ** many times and said I was still having a problem about receiving my mail. It is also very difficult to reach this post office. The phone is mostly unanswered and many times, they pick up the phone when it rings and put it off the hook for hours at a time. Mr. ** told me that my carrier Mary Ann is responsible for me receiving my mail and she is the one that puts everything together to premium forward. The problem is that when my carrier is out sick or on vacation, it appears that the post office is closed as far as me receiving my mail. I sat down with the Postmaster from the Brigantine Post Office, and Mr. Carmen **, along with Gina, were outstanding.

Mr. Carmen told me that the problem is when I set up the premium forwarding, they forgot to cancel the regular forwarding and that is why I was still getting my mail pieces at a time with yellow stickers on them. In my presence on 9-27-11, he called Mr. ** at my post office and they discussed the problem. He also told Mr. ** that as of today 9-27-11, he was to stop the premium forwarding. Today is 10-25-11, and I noticed lately that I have been receiving very double bills, which is most unusual since I pay my bills as soon as they come in. I called the Brigantine post office this morning at ** and spoke with Gina and she told me that she is still receiving mail for me and has a whole stack of mail that she is mailing out priority today to me.

Thank God, someone has a clue at the Brigantine Post office; if not for Postmaster Carmen ** and Gina, I would have never known what was the problem. I would have thought that when Carmen called Mr. ** to tell him that when the premium forwarding was set up, they forgot to cancel the temporary forwarding that would have corrected it but again, like many other times, we have no follow up on the part of Mr. **. Also, why should my carrier bear all the responsibility? Are there no other employees in the post office like mail clerks that are supposed to be doing this? Why do I have to hear that my mail person is off? It sounds to me like they close when she is not at work. Can you believe that after they received a call to stop forwarding any mail as of 9-27-11 from the Brigantine Post Master, it is a whole month later and they are still forwarding my mail?

Should I not be able to rely on my post office? Is there anyone that follows up? Were so many calls to Mr. ** along with complaints to the USPO 800 number enough? My carrier knew that my mail was forwarded and I also received mail at home. So let me summarize. Apparently, they never stopped the original forwarding like they were supposed to, never correctly did the premium forwarding, and to boot, I still got mail at home.

I stopped all forwarding on 9-27-11 in person at the Brigantine post office and sat there while Post Master Carmen ** personally called Mr. **. I even originally set up the premium forwarding at the Brigantine post office, even though you are supposed to set it up at my home post office. They went out of their way for me and called the Brooklyn Post office to tell them that they were taking care of this for me. As of today, one month after, I stopped all forwarding, and there is still mail for me at the Brigantine post office. Should the post office choose to get involved? My first request is to try and get through to them and see how the phone is unanswered and off the hook for hours at a time.

Thank God for the Brigantine Post Office. It sounds like we need some better management at the Ryder St. Post office, along with some re-training and something new called follow-up, and instead of closing, what do we do when the person that is supposed to complete this task is not here?

The non-profit organization that I work for purchased a service with The Detroit Redford Post Office, which ended up costing us $1,560.70. The postal carrier told us that there was a bunch of stuff sitting at the post office for us! We were never notified that there was anything for us, until this time. So, who knows how long it was sitting there for by the time we were informed by our postal service carrier? Once I found this out, I called them immediately and told them we will have a check waiting for them. They said that they would have our postal carrier bring these changes of addresses to us the next day. It has now been three days later and I still have not received them! I have tried complaining to a manager, but there is never a supervisor available for me to speak with there! The United States Postal Service just keep on promising that they will be here soon and they apologize. But they are just so busy lately! I was told that the postal carrier would bring them. But now they are saying that there is no way he can deliver that much mail to us! What?! Wait, isn't that his job?! It is just so very frustrating and there is not a ** thing I can do about it either. I am at the mercy of the United States Postal Service.

The post office manager in Center Point, AL named Tommy has been contacted several times about mail returned stamped: Return to Sender; Attempted - Not Known; Unable to Forward. The address is correct and I have lived in the same place for 12 years. The manager of the station is beyond rude and asks me what I want him to do about it. There is nothing he can do, he says. The attitude of this manager is beyond reprehensible.

I will not support the postal service outside of what is absolutely necessary. I would rather pay a higher price to UPS or FedEx; at least there is some accountability. Who is the post office accountable to? They do not deserve another price increase for sub-par service and for having no accountability.

The problem I have is that they always re-send packages to sender and then I have to tell them to re-send again. I feel the USPS delivery person should be more responsible when it comes to doing his/her job.

At my building we used to have a mail person that would use every effort to get the package to its destination. While there may be times an apartment # or full name was missing it would be the mail person who would ask the front desk about the person's name on the package and, if that person was still living in the building and expecting a package, thus being able to do this delivery or to leave the package at the front desk for said person.

Every person who is about to receive a package in my building always tells the staff at front desk to be on look out for it. We have two staff persons at any given time at our front desk; how hard can it be if a shipper missed the apartment number for the delivery person to just ask the front desk. It's on the mail person's way in and on the way out of the building. The mail person passes by and already delivers mail to the front desk for other staff people within the building. I really hope that the USPS comes to a full close and ends up being a failed part of American History in our children's school books. I never use them however there are still shippers that do and they often are reluctant to use a better shipper than USPS. So long USPS, I know your days are numbered and boy will I be glad when you are history.

I work with Baltimore City Public Schools; the school address is listed above. The problem that we are having is receiving mail for our school. I went to the post office two years ago asking if the mail could be delivered directly to the school. They stated "no" because the address is one address, which means it goes to one address. I informed them that it was three schools at that time in one building.

Two years later, we have had misplaced school credit card, several packages for our teachers that was delivered to Heritage, PSAT package that was misplaced - someone found it later in the central part of the building.

The only schools in the building now are Heritage and REACH! Partnership School. Since Heritage is A-B side can they have either 2801 (only) or 2801-A100 on their building and can we have 2801- C100 since we have the C-D wing? This is not how business should be handled. My question to you is, how do we go about getting an address for the school? This is becoming an issue because it hinders the students learning environment.

I was waiting for a letter that was sent to me and never received it. I was waiting for an important check and never received it. I had to call the company who is now resending one and I have to wait to for them to check on what happened to the check. I mailed a book out with a tracking number on it and they just randomly lost it from one post office to other. I mean really **.

Our business is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and a request was made a long time ago to hold our mail those days and to deliver it with Wednesday's mail. On October 13th, the business next door brought over a bag of mail that the postman had told them to give me - from August and September - complete with overdue bills. This is completely unacceptable that our mail was knowingly delivered by the postmaster to someone other than us.

In addition to my first complain, I was not able to use my credit card because the post office sent back my bill statement and wrote there that I moved out and the credit card company cancelled my credit card so I had to reinstate it. When I went to the post office, they did not want to speak to me. I was waiting there for 2 hours. Then the manager finally told me that he will investigate that and he will call me back.

My mail is not being consistently delivered to my home. It is being delivered to the wrong address on a regular basis. This is the second time within a few months they have delivered a package I ordered to the wrong address, and are not able to retrieve it. I want the US Post Office to reimburse me for the wrong delivery and for the person who is delivering my mail to be held accountable. I have now lost over $100 worth of merchandise because of their incompetence.

We live in Ward community that the mail has always delivered too. In the last 8 months, the postal service decided to quit delivering the mail, we were not aware of this till about a week we didn't receive our mail. When we asked the postmaster, she got smart and said they didn't have to deliver the mail to us anymore because the road was in bad shape. I've lived in Ward Community for 29 years and have always had my mail brought to me. I take a lot of medication and so do my neighbors. We have elderly and a lot of people who are unable to drive.

This is unacceptable for the postal service to take it upon themselves to quit delivering the mail. We have complained and the Somerville postmaster said, "Good luck in trying to change it!". I can not believe this, actually she said if the people didn't move their mail boxes in which is a half mile away, they would throw our mail on the ground. I told my neighbors to let them through the mail on the ground and see what happens. Well after 2 weeks of holding our mail, several ran up a half mile away and put mailboxes up.

I want to know why after 35 years of delivery that we are not getting our mail in Ward Community. I had medicine that set up at Somerville, Alabama postal service for 3 days. This is an unacceptable behavior! I've had to go and rent a box to which I was forced to do, I believe that is against my Constitutional rights! I'm going to our congressman if this is not taken care of. I don't believe that we as Americans should be forced into paying for a rental box, when we have had the mail delivered to us for almost 40 years, especially without notice. Please look into this matter.

Since moving to our new home in 12/10, we have had nothing but problems with not receiving a lot of our mails. This include bills, forwarded mail, boxes, merchandise, etc. It has cost us a considerable amount of money in losses. We have an open complaint with USPS and contacted our local post office. There has been no improvement and no one seems to know where all of this mail is going.

I was here all day waiting for the mailman or lady to come. My townhouse is right next to the mail box. My whole complex did not receive mail today! This is getting out of hand and somebody needs to take care of this. It's affecting people's lives.

The postal service needs a GPS tracking system for their trucks. This is so sad when we have to write something like this in 2011. Mail should be perfect, we've been doing it almost forever.

We are receiving our mail, once a month. We already missed a payment for our credit cards and maintenance. What kind of service is this? We do not want to miss our important mail. Please resolve it.

I have complained multiple times regarding not receiving mail that should be delivered to my address. First, I was told their machine is cutting off my apartment number. Now I am being told that I have to let them know all the people who live in my home so they know whose mail should be delivered. When did it become the post offices business who lives in your home?

I live in townhouses complex. In our mailbox, we have one special mailbox to collect HOA dues (for outgoing mail, we have another mailbox). It was no problem for many, many years. In September 5, 2011, I put my HOA dues check to this box, as usual, in the envelope. No any address to, no any return address, no any stamps, just my name in handwriting and phone number. In next week, on September 16, 2011, I received an email from HOA where my check is. I told them I put it in the mailbox a week ago, but they could not find it. I wrote one more check. After that, HOA found out that three checks disappeared and what happened? The mailman took all of the checks to the post office?

Again, no any addresses, no any stamps, no any info. First of all, how did it happened? Does the mailman supposed to know what he is doing? How can he pick mail (3 envelopes) without any info? Second, you know that to stop a check, the bank charges $30.00-$50.00. Who will reimburse me these charges? As of today, after the mailman brought my envelope with my HOA check to the post office, the check without any address what will be next? Will I receive my check back? If yes, when? Who will be responsible for that? How can we avoid these problems in the future? Thank you very much in advance. Irina

My mail was forwarded to a whole different city, when it was already in this town. I don't understand why, I ordered something that I need.

They have been giving me and everyone else in this town terrible service. I have ordered 8 packages in the past 2 months that I have not received. When I called the post office about it, they didn't care. They have become extremely lazy and they don't do their jobs right. When I scheduled package pickups online, they refused to take my package for no reason. I have stopped getting bank statements, packages and other items. I think some people at the post office are out there stealing packages.

I had a letter sent express overnight delivery from El Paso, TX to my address. It was sent on Thursday Sept 29, 2011 and was supposed to arrive on Friday Sept 30. I paid nearly $20 for the overnight service. The post office agent said it had to be sent in a large cardboard envelope although the letter would fit in any standard envelope. On Friday afternoon, I received a "Sorry we missed you!" slip instead of my letter. The slip was not filled out (no date, redeliver, notice) except for my name, address and article number. I immediately went online that same Friday evening to reschedule delivery. but I did not receive my letter the following day nor did I receive it the following Monday. Of course when I called, no answers were given for not delivering. I had to make another reschedule date and now have been waiting for almost 5 days for a letter that was paid for express overnight. The charge to ship overnight is paid on should be on the contingent that you actually receive the item the next day. I do not wish to go into detail as to the inconvenience this has caused as to there is a specific reason as to why some things are actually needed overnight.

Occasionally, someone will park their car in front of the mail box which means that the mailman will have to get out of his little vehicle and walk about 6 feet just to get the mail or deliver the mail. We have complained about not getting mail before and we're told by the mail carrier's supervisor that this was not a walking account and therefore no need for the carrier to get out of his car. I commented that he will if there is a package that will not fit into the box. He did that just the other day.

Today, my son-in-law was parked just a few feet from the box and the mailman saw that he was about to leave, and just drove right by. My son-in-law left and went up the street asking the mailman if he was going to go back and deliver our mail to which he said he would. Naturally, he lied as we never saw him again. We actually had mail that needed to get picked up too. This mailman is terrible and should be fired. He is incapable of giving good service. How can we get this person assigned to another route? Our mailman before this guy would have never acted this way. He was great. This guy is just lazy and does not care about service.

I had a "hold mail" request with delivery scheduled to resume on 9/26/11. I have sent two emails to USPS complaining and made two phone calls to USPS. My first email received no response. The person who replied to my 2nd email, and both customer service reps, said they would notify my post office and I would receive my mail. It is 9/30 today, 5 delivery days later and I still have not received my mail. At this point, I am wondering if I should report it stolen.

My problem is that we used to get our mail at around noon, then it was between 1-2pm, now we are not receiving our mail till any where between 3-5pm. What is going on? Can someone please tell me?

Our mail is being delivered after store's deadlines. We would like to receive our circulars and magazines in a timely fashion.

I sent my bills out and I found the next month that the bills went up. Ever since I got a new delivery time and deliverer, it seems like my checks aren't being delivered. I hate this new deliverer.

We are not receiving our mail. We have continually called our local post office to complain. We are told that there is no mail carrier assigned to our route and that we would get our mail when they have a carrier available. Our orders, bills, invoices, etc. are not arriving on time. We need to receive our mail daily.

Four complaints have been filed about the Palms Station in Los Angeles refusing to deliver packages. Instead, they left "Sorry I Missed You" slips in the box, never taking the packages out of the station. The last complaint was filed on September 7th and September 15th because I had not received a follow-up. On September 6th, a "Sorry I Missed You Slip" was left in my box when I was home, with the door open, because my AC doesn't work and it was a hot day. I took two buses to retrieve the package from the post office and was given a different package. I followed up with the vendor to find that the Post Office indeed had my package but could not locate it.

I filed a complaint: ** and waited for a response/the package. I then filed a complaint: ** and waited, no response. I spoke to the complaint department on or around the 18th and was told that I should get a call back from the post office. Instead, I got an email. I called the Post Office listed in the email and asked that my package be delivered. The person answering the phone said I had to call back before 9:00AM the next day. That afternoon, I ran into Carrier #54: T. ** who promised to help me find the package. She searched for the package and could not locate it. She came to my door the next day and helped me track that the package was being sent back to the vendor six days after I filed the complaint, and 14 days after I went to the post office to pick it up.

I think they returned the package in retaliation for my filing the complaints on them not performing their duties. The lost packages and non-delivery only occur when T. ** (Carrier# 54) is not on duty. ** always ensures the delivery of every single parcel with a smile. No matter when I see her, she is genuinely happy and interested in knowing how my day went. I have seen her interact with other tenants where I reside in the UCLA Graduate Housing complex and her personable demeanor is unwaivering with every single tenant. It has gotten to the point that I now pray whenever I'm expecting a package that ** will deliver that day so that it will not get lost in the abyss.

The alternate carriers refuse to even take the packages out of the office. ** ensures delivery and always says "Have a Nice Day" when she hands it to you. She needs to be recognized for her professional commitment to her job. Whenever I tell her that I did not get a package when she was off, she will hunt it down and bring it to me. That means she is the only one who delivers the packages that should have been delivered by the carrier(s) before her on her days off. This is unfair, unprofessional and a bad reflection on the United States Post Office/Overland Branch/Palms Station.

Not any workers for Saturday Mail Service told me that my mail was not a priority for that office. No Mail! I'm not on government assistance; I depend on timely service to receive a pay check from my employer. I have no service, no check and I can't pay bills overdue charges.

I have made numerous complaints to the Postmaster General in DC, Consumer Affairs, customer service and managers up to and including my apartment complex manager. I was going over and complaining about the lack of consistent service, mail held hostage, and postal people refusing to come to a resident's door to deliver mail (but they fill out a brown slip and run). This route is a route no one wants to bid on so we get sloppy thirds and fourths. I have had carriers walk past me like I wasn't there when I asked them a question. Others have been insulted and told, "I don't care, I'll take as long as I want to get the mail out. In fact, now, I'm going to take longer."

I have a problem every single time I send out a parcel or receive one. This has been going on for two years. Yesterday, I asked carrier ** about a parcel that was handed off from UPS. And when it got into the postal service system, it was MIA. My box was on time. He practically pushed past me, filled all the letter box, and other large parcels. Then, he lied to me to say that my package wasn't there and I pointed that it was right on top. I felt totally justified telling him that the reason why the postal service is going to lose 2/3's of their workforce is his leading example of dis-service.

Their tracking services are also horrible (UPS and FedEx). You can follow a package almost to the GPS coordinates. I sent a priority mail package on September 7th, and it did not leave Nashville sorting until Sept 12th! I was totally ripped off by this company who sent me a PPD label.

I moved into an apartment six weeks and have not received any mail. I verified with both the cable company and utilities. They have my correct address. I verified with the bank that I gave them correct address. I placed way too many calls to find out why I am not getting my mail. I called USPS customer service, e-mailed customer service, and called the local post office. The local post office referred me to the carrier's manager's numbers: **. The line is always busy. What else can I do?

I work for Mass Eye and Ear in Boston. For the past week, my mail has been two hours late getting to me. When the regular guy is out, this seems to happen. If you know he is going to be out, you should be able to fill his spot.

"Post Office to Deliver Accumulated Mail". The mail was restarted but as of this date, we have not received our accumulated mail as agreed to. Credit cards are in this mail! Please investigate at once and advise.

I have recently moved to this address in may and performed my change of address, forwarding of family last name mail and other forms I was requested to complete both in person and online. I paid $1 for every person in our household and for every combination of the names used, as sometime the mail has our middle initial and sometimes not, so that had to be changed and forwarded as well which I did for 5 persons of this household.

The first month, I received mail for different people that used to live here and I returned them. On one of the items there was a name of the previous person with my last name, I learned that we have a common last name - no problem. Well I was wrong...it is a huge problem. I noticed my mail wasn't being delivered so I was instructed to visit my last post office and speak to the post master for which they said all was being forwarded to my new post office. No they were not. I called the new post office and was told that the change takes a while to start working and to give it some time.

In the meantime, I had applied for a duplicate, renewal and change of address of my driver's license as I had lost it and had not received it. Well, they said, "wait and see, the state has issues with shortage of personnel". Wow!

So I waited (for 3 months). Now the Dept of Motor Vehicles said the license was returned 3 times! Well, not by us because I have been waiting for my CDL and I have no identity! Imagine the feeling. So I got upset and the mail lady confronted me and asked if I used to live here and I said no! But according to her the previous family had the last name so all mail with the last name was being forwarded to them! **.

I went to the post office and spoke to a so called supervisor and he didn't let me talk to the post master because he said "she has more important issues"! **! My mail is lost, he confirmed it. He said it's a common mistake and I should not make such a big deal out of it because he is trying to help me out. He told me to fill out a form for the entire family but he can't get my other mail to me cause basically they are lost, and for me to leave because I was causing too much attention to the customers! ** And he didn't even provide me with his last name! This sucks now that I have no identity. He kept a piece of mail I showed to him because now, the two pieces of mail I have received; one was opened which was opened and was resealed and with all kinds of hand written notes on the envelope. He said, "too bad and there is only so much he can do".

I am sorry but I don't care for the post office if it were to shut down because now that my mail is lost, my identity flying around, who knows where. Now I have to deal with any "stolen identity" if it were to show up on my credit...is he going to fix it? This really is unacceptable so shut them down and not pay them for a job they cant take care of and there are many people needing a job right now, right?

The hold mail confirmation #** is to be delivered on Monday, 9/19/2011. The mail was not delivered.

The post office (for zip code 07461 ) put my mail on hold due to road problems on my street; the bridge closed or was unsafe. I did not receive any notice from the post master of the local post office that my mail would be put on hold. Thus, I went to the post office and talked to the post master. He was rude. He said, "We are not delivering mail to Sally Harden Road where the bridge is closed at." My mail box is about 20 feet from the bridge; the bridge is only about 6 feet long and is intact, but undermined. I do understand safety measures; hence, I am a postal carrier myself, but 40 feet to the north of my mailbox is another mailbox, which is on the same route as my house is, and their getting their mail without interruptions.

I asked the postmaster if the letter carrier would be about to go to my house, and he simply said, "No." I don't know how this could be a safety problem, if my mailbox is within a safe distance from the road problem. I took pictures of the area around the problem site, in which the postmaster of the local office declined to look at. If you need to see the pictures I will be able to email them to you, if it helps. I'm asking you to look into why my mail if it is being tampered with, by delaying my mail service to my house. Thank you for your time.

During the month of August, 2011 at Montebello CA, 90640, I have not gotten mail delivered to my address for at least 3 weeks. Later, I called the postal service to put an investigation, and 3 days later I checked back with the result. There was no reason left, but I got all my mails delivered afterward. Someone should revisit to find out why this had happened.

The mail carrier here comes extremely late and leaves other people's mailbox open. The mails are being returned because they are not paying attention to the name.

I ordered a package from Walmart on 8/31. The package was to be delivered to my physical address. USPS failed to deliver the package giving me some excuse about my P.O. box, but the merchant does not deliver to P.O. boxes. Now, as I gather more tracking information, the item has been forwarded to the downtown office in limbo.

USPS won't deliver mail to my house and I am given a free rental box which I've had for 20 years. Every year, though I am subject to having to provide identification in order to receive my mail, I believe that everyone should be subjected to this scrutiny. But it seems this information is required for box holders only. I have lived in the same house and have held this PO Box, as I said, for 20 years. It would seem to me that if this is such a security issue, then everyone whether on a route or in PO Box should be required to provide the same information. I have asked for mail delivery to my home for many years and I'm always told there can be no change. But I see that there has been a change and some houses close by now have their mail delivered to their home by a carrier from another town 49097. I have asked for some help to resolve this issue and my postmaster said for me to call my congressman. Even though my information has remained the same, if I choose not to fill out this form, then I will not receive my mail?

I haven't been getting mail, very important mail, at my address. Nobody seems to care to help me. The postal manager for my area was not nice. I have not received mail that I know was addressed properly.

My family repeatedly has packages and mail that never gets delivered. One such time, the post man delivered a package to the wrong address. When I called after tracking the packages, a supervisor named Alan drove out and found the packages but made me go retrieve it, though it was the post man's mistake and not mine. I do not get paid to do their job. This has happened as many as 5 times in the past 6 months. Alan has been extremely rude and unhelpful, as though I lost my packages!

I have called customer support, where I was told that the post office is not responsible for delivering mail/packages to the wrong address. If they are not, then who is? Right now, I am missing a book that was last tracked to the SCF hub in Louisville, KY on 8/31/2011. I still have not received it. It seems as though the more I complain, the more packages they lose. Last year, a copy of my tax returns never made it to its destination and to this day, is lost in USPS land. All the lost items, I have had to pay the retailer for and I never got my purchases.

I am so fed up with paying shipping to be ripped-off. I am going to try the post master general. Unfortunately, that can only be done via phone or mail. I have a feeling that too is going to be a waste of time as everyone I have dealt with on every one of these instances have been rude. They simply do not care and there is nothing I can do. I am guessing that because it is government ran, they think they have no responsibility to fulfill the commitment they say they are making when they are taking your money for shipping. I have lived here for 25 years and my husband, 47. We have never had these problems before but now, it is a constant issue.

I do not see how they are ''losing'' so many of my packages all of a sudden. I am beginning to wonder if it's retribution for calling and complaining each time it has happened. I feel that if they accept your money and have all these ads about great service, they should actually deliver that service. It's despicable.

No wonder they are going bankrupt. The service is awful, and the workers are rude and uncaring. The very worst thing is that, after all the expenses and time trying to get it straightened out, the end result is they do nothing. I get nothing except the bill for the items I have ordered and never received. It should be illegal. Are they losing packages on purpose so the public is forced to pay for insured shipping which they cannot afford?

I found out from an email sent by a company, where I order merchandise from, that a package was not delivered from USPS. When I tracked the package, I found out that an attempt to deliver had been made. But there was no attempt to deliver, as I had been home all day and for days prior to the attempted delivery. No pink slip was left at my apartment. Upon calling the post office, I was told the package had been taken to a different post office, and I could go pick it up. The post office it had been delivered to was a considerable distance from my home, so I asked to have it redelivered. Three days later, I am still waiting for redelivery. After spending 45 minutes and getting a busy signal all that time, I finally spoke to someone in the carrier division. She said she couldn't tell me if the package was on the delivery truck today or not. This is not the first time I have had this problem. The carrier is too lazy to drive up the hill and knock on my door to deliver a package. Trying to get a live person on the phone to talk to takes almost an act of God and Congress. No wonder the post office is going out of business! Postage has continued to rise while service from the post office has continued to deteriorate to an abysmal low.

My daughter sent me a certified letter to be mailed to me. I did not receive anything stating that I have a certified letter coming to me. The carrier did not knock on my door to have me sign for this letter. He did not come to house at all. I am a senior citizen who sits in her chair, watching what is going on out there in front. I have complained of getting wrong mail to home. I am tired of the supervisor. It seems to me that nothing is being done about the carrier.

My DHL package from Germany arrived at the delivery depot on 8/26/2011, yet it has never made it to me. No delivery attempt notices were left at the house. When I finally was given a match code number, I used it to track and confirm both through DHL as well as USPS. The former claims, "Recipient was repeatedly not home, therefore the package was returned to the sender on 8/30." USPS claims, "The package was returned to the sender on 8/30 because the addressee moved without leaving a forwarding address." Well, which one is it? And who returns an item after only four days? Due to a disabled family member, someone is home at all times.

I have so far talked to my carrier (who was evidently not the one who scanned the package that day), the main post office, DHL customer service (email and via telephone), the main post office (in person), the local post office (twice in person), as well as emailed a complaint to USPS customer service via their website, but there was no response other than to rate their email survey system. The supervisor claims that unless the package is scanned again, there is nothing he can do for me other than to keep looking if it is returned to his branch. He just knows that it was not returned so far (today is 9/9) and that the scanner number is different from the regular carrier's.

Now, why can we not find out whose scanner it is and who was on duty in order to talk to them? If the package had been insured, the supervisor suggested he would file a claim with me right then and there. I am the recipient, not the sender so how would I know? Also, I receive regular packages from Germany and never had any delivery problems at this address at all (yet I was told that there is no offer of insuring the packages from the sender's local post office).

DHL wants me to turn to my local post office, but the local post office cannot help. Somewhere, somehow, one should be able to find out if it is even on the way back to Germany. How can one lose a package within the same town? Also, does this not leave room for dishonesty (Oh, let me keep a box by claiming it was returned and then let it disappear)? By the way, we are talking about a 18.8 kg package here - nothing that one could just "drop in a crack" somewhere.

My mail lady will not deliver our mail because there is a dead deer next to our neighbors mailbox, which is about 30 feet away from our mailbox. The deer is on our neighbor's property across the street, and I was told by the neighbor to stay off his property and to mind my own business. The postmaster said the only way to get mail back to both boxes was to remove the deer, which he never know where the deer is. I moved the deer more into the ditch but no mail. I have complained several times about the mail lady, about getting everyone's mail, which is not our neighbor's, more like a few roads away, but the postmaster does nothing. We live in a farming community and the cow or pig smell doesn't bother her while delivering their mail.

Several years ago, our regular mail carrier retired. Since then, we have had ongoing problems getting our New York Times Book Review and New Yorker magazine delivered regularly. This past August (2011), delivery problems escalated. Calls to the post office were fruitless. They claimed that they delivered whatever they have. Subsequent phone calls resulted in nobody answering the phone, even after thirty or forty rings. We called a number we found on the USPS website to complain on 8/2/2011 when we hadn't received mail in four days. Also, a package was supposed to be delivered that day and wasn't. When I checked the tracking information, it claimed that a delivery was attempted at 6:00. That was not true because we were home the entire evening.

The person we spoke with gave us a number ** and said she'd call back with information. She didn't. The next day, we received a huge delivery of mail including the package we were expecting. Some of the mail was several weeks old. The following week on 8/8, we didn't receive any mail. The next day, we received two deliveries. Meanwhile, we continued to have problems with periodicals, arriving weeks late or not at all. On 8/22, I spoke to someone in Consumer Affairs again who promised to call back and didn't. I called again on 8/31, was given another number ** and was told he'd call back with information. He didn't.

I also asked Consumer Affairs to put a periodical watch on the two publications. He said he would and would call me later that day with a case number. He didn't. On 9/3, I called again. This time, I was transferred to a "head supervisor" who did call me back (Heather, employee ID #**). She gave me a toll-free number for Consumer Affairs so that I could check on my periodical watch. I called there today and spoke to two **! The first one had no idea to what I was referring so she transferred me to someone else who was only marginally more in touch. I told her about the periodical watch I attempted to place on 8/31 and that I wanted to check its status. For some reason that was impossible for her to comprehend. Then she told me that only the publishers could do that. Then she told me to file a complaint online. I asked to speak to a supervisor. After being on hold for a while, she claimed the supervisor would call me back.

Guess what? He didn't! So what's the deal here? How can I get the service I deserve? Is everyone just planning to shift responsibility, or is someone going to fix this egregious problem?

I stop my mail quite often and there is always a problem. A few weeks ago, on the date the "hold" mail was to be delivered, it did not arrive. I waited until the next day and after calling from 9am to 10:15am, and always getting a recording that said someone would be available after 9am, there was no answer.

I went to the post office. They had my mail and the carrier was already gone. Therefore, I would not have received it until Monday. I complained to a supervisor and filled out a report on their website. I stopped my mail last week to start Tuesday, August 30th and to be restarted on Tuesday, September 6th which is tomorrow. I hope I get it.

This complaint is about the mail being delivered one of the days that we were gone. It rained and my sprinklers hit the mail box. All of that day's mail is drying on the kitchen table. What is wrong with the La Mirada office? I should also say that this is just twice this year that I have reported it but it has happened many times. This did not happen when we had a regular delivery man. They seem to get transferred after a few months and this type of error starts all over again. I ran a business for 31 years. If this kind of problem existed in my business, it would not have been tolerated more than once!

Recently, it seems that we are not getting all our mail. Also, I have been home along with other family members and the mail person will leave a slip in the mailbox, saying that they missed me when in fact, I was at home along with 3 other people and the mail person never even bothered to come to the door. This has caused me to go to the post office the next day or days later (when it was the weekend) to retrieve my letter/package. I have sent a complaint to the USPS and never received satisfactory results.

I have had problems with this mail lady from day one! At first, she refused to deliver mail to my address because she said it was vacant but it clearly wasn't! Then, she went on vacation and we had another mail lady for a month. It was the best month ever. We got our mail every day at 3 pm, but now, the original mail lady is back and we don't get our mail until 6 to 7 pm every day! I'd love to know how the other mail lady that was filling in did her route and was here by 3 pm but the other can't get here until 6 to 7 pm?

I got no mail again. I have filed several complaints. The USPS does not deliver at least one or two days each week.

For the last month I have been dealing with a crackhead mail lady. She has misdelivered my packages twice, lied and said she put notices on my door but did not.

This week, she has held my package for ransom. She lied and said she put a notice on the door. But I was face-to-face with the crackhead on my porch and she was too busy talking on her cell phone through her Bluetooth to give me my mail. She all but walked off with my package and claimed that it was undeliverable.

Yesterday, she saw me standing on my porch and walked passed me. So I asked her if she had my package because online and customer service told me it would be delivered on Aug 27 (originally Aug 25).

On Wednesday, she even doubled back. Now that is low. After she looked me in my face and walked off my porch without giving me my mail, she had the nerve to double back and put a notice on my door. But her stupid boss won't do anything.

So I have been trying to free my package all week. Today is Aug 28. Someone (probably her), put my regular mail in the mailbox on the door. Yet, once again, my package is nowhere to be found! Isn't it a federal offense for someone to mess with someone's mail? I want to sue her and the Richmond City Post office. All customer service does is promise she will do her job and deliver my package. But every day she doesn't and every day I write a complaint on the website or call. But her supervisor says that she claims she didn't verbally attack my child who is a minor. And nothing was done.

Help. I feel like a prisoner in my own country! This is not Russia or Iraq, is it? They only deserve half a star and that is pushing it.

In my part of town, we do not have mail delivery and are offered P.O. boxes. Normally, I get a lot of mail, including junk mail and bills.

But for the past week, my P.O. box has been dead. It has taken over a week and counting to receive a piece of mail from 30 miles away and nearly two weeks to receive an important letter from a dear friend in NC. I am not the only one. Nearly everyone I see checking their box comes out empty-handed. With no mail delivery necessary and very few customers going to the service desk, what on earth is going on back there that is preventing employees from doing their very important job?

I have been living at my address for four years and have received mail for an individual who doesn't live here more times than I can count. I've returned the mail with a note saying "Return to Sender" "No Such Person at This Address" "Please stop delivering mail for this person" and several variations along those lines.

Finally, I got fed up with the fact that my efforts did nothing to change the situation and decided to call the main USPS toll-free phone number to request that mail for this individual stops once and for all. The main office asked who does live at my address and I told them. They then said that they would make a note of it and continue to deliver my mail and contact the local carrier to make sure I didn't receive mail for this person anymore.

I then got a phone call from the local postmaster and again was asked who lived at my address and who I have been receiving mail for. The postmaster then said they have never received returned mail from my address (when it has happened a ridiculous amount of times!) and asked that I filled out a card stating who lives at my address.

Several days went by that I received my mail regularly and finally I got a card from the postmaster, filled it out and returned it. For several days after that, I received no mail at all except for a second card that I filled out again and put in the mail drop. A few more days went by with no mail being delivered and since I had a tracking number on a parcel that was being sent to me via priority mail, I saw that it had gone out for delivery but was never put into my mailbox.

I then called the local postmaster again and asked why I was not receiving mail at my address. The postmaster spent several minutes arguing with me and claiming that I never sent the card back as well as stating that I have never returned any mail to the sender due to an incorrect recipient name. Both of these statements were untrue and when I mentioned this, the postmaster said he would not deliver my mail until he received the card. I then requested to speak with his supervisor, the regional delivery supervisor, Stan **, and explained the situation to him letting him know that I did indeed return the cards and needed to receive my mail. Stan ** denied vehemently that I returned the two cards and literally called me a liar saying my claim that I had been receiving mail for an incorrect recipient was false and if I did not return the card, he would make sure my mail never got delivered. When I said I had returned two cards and wanted to know what could be done to make sure they were received by him as well as asking how I can get my mail today, I was even denied permission to come pick my mail up in person at the post office and was told that I was lying about returning them again.

Finally I mentioned to him that the main USPS office that I called originally had told me my mail would not discontinue. His words were, "I don't care!" Needless to say, I was shocked and on the verge of tears because of the blatant abuse of power and continued accusations of lying about returning several pieces of mail as well as the two cards I was asked to return. Stan **, the regional delivery supervisor, is refusing to deliver my mail or even let me pick it up!

How can this be legal? Why would I spend my time making up lies about mail that I have been receiving for someone who hasn't lived here in at least four years? I just want to receive my mail and now I have to worry and wonder if I ever will because somehow the postmaster and the regional supervisor have it in their minds that all of this is just a figment of my imagination! Stan ** also hung up on me while I was asking what can be done to ensure I received my mail and the words he used while hanging up were of blatant disrespect, abuse of power, and downright rude!

All I wanted was to stop getting mail for the one person who I have gotten mail for and returned since I moved in four years ago and somehow all of my efforts and everything I did that complied with what they asked have been completely useless! I can't even pick my own mail up at the post office!

My postman have been returning my mail to sender stating that my address is incorrect. However, I have been living here for almost a year with no problems until now.

I mailed a large box, a smaller box, and a 3-day delivery envelope. The envelope was delivered but both boxes were not delivered as promised within the week time allotted. The boxes were going from Lancaster, CA to Boardman, OH and Sharon, PA. The delivery charge was $31.00 for the large box and $11.00 for the smaller box. As stated by USPS, "Give it a few more days for delivery." The items, although not "priceless," are imperative to my children and family to have been received as contracted. I will wait two more days for the delivery. And if the delivery is not made, what recourse do I have?

I called to inform the postal service for the 4th time that I was not getting any mail after changing my address upon moving. They informed me that since the previous owner had the same last name, it would be difficult to get it straightened out. Well I guess to work at the post office, you do not need to look past the last name because as of this date, 2 months after my move I am still not getting my mail. My mail is being forwarded to the previous tenant! The postal service needs to learn to read MORE than the last name!

We have days where our mail is not delivered. I don't know if the mail carrier is just goofing off on certain days or what. Every so often we get no mail when we know mail should be in the box. What is going on? Please look into this because we all are paying someone to do their job, who is not doing it every so often. About 2-3 times per month only. Does anyone follow-up on the carrier during their route?

We sent my son's residence hall key by overnight delivery, guaranteed by 3 pm and waived signature. The mail carrier didn't deliver. Under track and confirm, it says that he couldn't find an authorized person to leave it with. I called and asked USPS. They said that nothing could be done until Monday. And they said that they aren't held to the guarantee since the carrier went to the resident hall and couldn't find a person. I called back to lodge a complaint. I was told that on their complaint line, they don't take complaints. And I was told to call consumer affairs, which isn't open until Monday. Also, they will only schedule redelivery if my son calls on Monday. So, he has no key all weekend.

My grand daughter's birthday present was not delivered as stated. We paid for next day. They claimed an attempt was made at 10:45 am. My husband was on the phone with them at that time. They also claimed a slip was left. I asked them, "How do you get in touch with your driver". They said, "We don't." We depended and paid for a service that will never be used again. I now see why the other companies are being used more.

Again, there was no mail. The USPS is going to put me out of business. It was the second day this week. I cannot even begin to describe the economic damage. I even had a chat with Juan ** today, and he promised me that the mail would be delivered by 5 pm. Yeah, right. What time zone, Juan?

I have been waiting for a certified mail for over 30 days. I called several times and I was given three case numbers which was never solved. The only thing the USPS customer service tells me is that I have to wait for someone to contact me, but they never contacted me.

Now after thirty days, instead of forwarding the certified mail, they sent it back with no reason. The certified mail contains money orders with over 1000 dollars. Now I am behind all my payments for the mistake and I was not helped by USPS. I never get help from them; they just say to wait and open cases every time I call. What am I suppose to do now to get the mail back?

The money orders I was supposed to receive was for some products I have shipped. Now the client has the products and the payment. How can I get help to get this solved and fix all the damages that this negligence has caused me.

I have not received any personal or home business mail since July 26, 2011 (it is August 16 as of writing). Two pieces of mail were delivered to my parents' address, with change of address labels notifying my father (even though we have completely different first names). Two client payments totally $2,080.30 have disappeared completely. My payroll service states that mail was returned to them as undeliverable. I have been living and working out of this location for a year and a half.

Bills have not been delivered to me, which was merely inconvenient as I was able to address them online and have since set up autopayment procedures. I am still waiting for two checks from clients totaling $2,080.30. One check has been cancelled at the expense of my client, and they are issuing a new one. However, since no mail has still arrived in the past few weeks, there is no guarantee that I will receive the replacement check. I require the above amount to maintain my monthly business expenses as well as pay myself my personal income.

I placed an order online last Tuesday, 8th of August. The company told me it was delivered on the 10th. When I contacted both the company and my complex management office, one said it was delivered while the other said it's not there at the station.

When I spoke to the supervisor this morning of 16th of August, my package was there at the station and was told that due to my having complex mailing issues, they couldn't hold anything. When I called them, they never said no such thing. I have been missing items from this post office since May 13 when I moved in.

Please have this resolved before I go to a higher-up like in Washington DC.

I called the Post Office today, 8/15/11, because mail hadn't been delivered in 3 days. The delivery supervisor, Christie, informed me that I didn't have any mail. I informed her that I always get my unemployment check every other Thursday and, in fact, I called EDD and they confirmed that the check was mailed on 8/8/2011.

Christie placed me on hold, returned then asked, "Didn't you ask the mail lady to hold your mail?" I informed her that I wasn't familiar with a mail lady. In a very sarcastic voice, she informed me that the mail man was on vacation. I informed her that I find it odd that I don't receive my mail when the regular mail clerk is on vacation. She informed me that she found "some" of my mail from the EDD but, in her words, there isn't any check in here!

I asked if I can pick the mail up today and she stated, "You can only pick up today and today only!" I asked what happens to the mail after today and she said it will be held here then returned to the sender. I released the call!

My mail has been frequently lost, not delivered to my PO Box while I frequently get other people's mail in my box. I have complained in writing on three occasions and it is still happening.

I ordered a package regular mail from amazon; quoted the normal 3-5 business day time frame for receiving the package. On the 5th business day, I see that my package has gone from KY to MO and back to KY.

Postal Service has not delivered mail to my mailbox for 4 days; Monday 8/8-Thursday 8/11. Mail was help prior week while on vacation. I checked back with post office and there was no existing help mail. Most likely, the carrier is carrying my mail around in his truck and is not aware I picked up help mail and mail service should resume.

For three-plus years since I moved to this home, I have had my mail and packages delivered to another address(s). I will come home to have mail stuck in my door. In addition, I receive mail from other neighbors.

To date, I have over 50+ missing packages and mail. I have been forced to receive mail at a friend's home. But mail coming to my home is still necessary. I have had no luck with calling my local post office. Even with deliver confirmations and required signatures, no luck with the postal inspectors department.

I have been forced to put my home on the market and move. My home business requires deliveries and this is hurting my business and my personal finances.

On June 1, I moved to a new address within the same town in which I was currently living. On June 6, I submitted a change of address form to the USPS in the same town. Around June 13, I went to my old address to check my mail since I was currently renting the old and new places for June, so I could more easily move. I found a bundle of mail secured with a rubber band, and a change of address verification form. The form said to do nothing if this is correct, so I did nothing. I attend school full-time over the summer, and had failed to notice that I was not receiving any mail, despite the fact I had changed some of my old addresses by talking to the business direct.

It is now August 8, and I finally got what may amount to some form of answer. My normal route carrier was on vacation during that week; failed to complete the address forwarding when he returned, and my mail for the past two months had been delivered to my old address was the explanation I received. I was a little upset, so I hung up, and waited around thirty minutes to relax before calling back to verify the story. I got the name of the route carrier, and informed the individual on the phone from the main branch that I was going to file a complaint with Consumer Affairs, and to the post master general; since any other "legal" action seemed to be a waste of time due to the post office's sovereign status.

Once I informed them of this, they began to quickly back pedal and change their story, as to why it had been a problem. Suddenly, I may have been the one who did not do what they were supposed to have done. I pointed out that they had informed me that they had found my change of address request in their computer system, and verified that I had done what was required for a successful change of address during the first phone call. They never explained why I was not receiving mail from businesses and individuals who had been using my new address, which required no more work in the post office's part than a normal mail sort.

I live on a culdesac and our neighbors choose to to park their vehicles in a way that makes it impossible for the carrier to deliver the mail without getting out of her vehicle. While I understand and sympathize with her dilemma, they are not my vehicles, nor are they parked in front of my property. I called a half a dozen times to the local office with no change to the problem.

After weeks of not getting my mail, I finally called USPS and filed a claim, #CA105642776 & CA105911095. Since then I have had to call to ammend the complaint 4 times because now the carrier just randomly has our service cancelled with no notification to us or anyone else on the block. There are days when noone is even parked there and she still doesn't deliver because the service has been stopped, without our knowledge or consent.

I moved to my present address on November 1, 2010 and began having delivery problems with my mail which are still unresolved. I have placed 2 formal complaints regarding not receiving mail. The failure to deliver is sporadic and limited to random items. The mail I do not receive is correctly addressed but is "returned to sender" as undeliverable to my address. I have gotten several different explanations for why the delivery failed, first they said it was because a new carrier was assigned to my route and I had to speak directly with my carrier whom I could never contact as he was always on his route. As the problem continued, I was told that it was my apartment building's fault. I was told that the management failed to submit a list of verified occupants to ensure delivery. The last explanation is probably more correct, I have been told that there was a sorter machine installed in May of 2010 that has a problem with returning mail, at random, as undeliverable when it is actually addressed correctly. I am still having this problem. It is chronic and persistent and I would like to know how to escalate this issue to a higher level.

I sent an important envelope to USCIS with a lot of important and original paper works but USPS lost it and they can't find it, if they even tried looking for it. The receiver refused the certified mail and it was supposed to come back to the sender. It has been over 3 months and it has not come back yet.

You guys don't understand the damage that you have caused to my family and my children. Due to this stupidity on your side I will have to return to my country without my children and thanks to you, they'll probably end up somewhere in the hands of CPS or something of that nature. Great Job! You guys need to do something or else just go out of business and let UPS or FedEx take over. I can't believe a certified mail can get lost but I can get a regular post stamped envelope there faster and not lose it. It makes no sense to me.

The most recent incident is today. At the end of July, at the USPS online site, I requested my mail be forward for two weeks. I received a confirmation number. A week later, I received a confirmation letter at my home as did my friends at the address to which I was to have my mail forwarded.

I was late leaving my home today, August 6, the first day the forwarding was to begin, and found my mail was delivered at my home address despite the request and confirmations. Earlier this year, twice, I had put on holds for my mail. On each of those occasions, I arrived home a day early and found my mail had been delivered all week. I called the PO and got a runaround, first from a woman named Jessica, who said the delivery person claimed the hold orders were not received until the day after I was to have returned. Jessica told me, on two separate occasions, that she would call me back with further information. She failed to do so.

I called Vivian at Consumer Affairs for the PO (858-674-2670) and she soon returned my call, saying the supervisor at that PO, Heidi, would call me back within 24 hours. She failed to do so. I called the PO and left a message. Three days later, I was finally able to call and get Heidi on the line. She was very busy passing the buck, saying Jessica had little to do with that PO, she worked at another, that she, Heidi, always put in changes the day of the change and that she would speak to the carrier, but I would have to call her the next time this happened.

So, when I called today to ask for Heidi, I was told she was not at work. I was told that, at the end of the day, whoever I was speaking with would have my carrier call me. I said I wasn't going to be home because I was leaving town, which was the reason the forwarding was put in place from the beginning. She said I wasn't allowing her to speak to anybody about the problem and hung up on me. I called the main PO phone number and they seemed concerned. They said they would try to have the problem dealt with on Monday or Tuesday, which was already well into my two weeks.

The people at the Palm Desert PO in charge of holding and forwarding mail have been completely inefficient and utterly rude. In each case, I've had confirmation numbers but the confirmations have meant nothing. When my mail was being delivered rather than held, it could have been stolen. Now, as I'm about the leave today, I don't know what is going to happen. I need to deal with my mail. I need it forwarded and stopped on the dates requested and confirmed.

The people at this PO take no responsibility and just pass the buck. They should not be holding the jobs of trust they do. Not simply because they are rude and hung up on people, but because they aren't doing their jobs. Is there nobody at the PO supervising incompetent supervisors? Does the buck stop anywhere?

The mail carrier marked my package that required a signature "Return to Sender, not deliverable as addressed". It went back to Hong Kong because the residence, a river camp, did not have a "mail receptacle".

The carrier could not have left it in the box anyway since it needed a signature. They would not even leave a note explaining why they would not deliver the package and give me a chance to pick it up at the office.

I have retaliated by having all of my mail delivered by Internet where possible and plan to cancel my P.O. box as soon as the contract expires. USPS is hurting due to their concern for rules enforcement and lack of concern for customer service. UPS and Fed Ex will try hard to deliver a package and the USPS will drive right by your house chuckling at you for not knowing their silly rules and then send your package back halfway around the world while making you pay triple freight.

Seinfeld had the Newman character for a reason.

I called and complained that my mail has been missing or have not been sent to my post box. My neighbors are the ones bringing me my mail daily.

Whenever I order anything online, I do not receive it the first time. I complain to the post office and they do nothing. I then have to plead with the person I ordered from to send another one. And they do so out of their own pocket. I then have to track online when it is out for delivery, go to the post office and tell them I am expecting it. Then I have to be home and wait for the postman to make sure I actually receive it.

I should be able to order something and receive it the first time without it taking a month to receive the "second" item that was sent. Either someone in my neighborhood is getting a "present" every time I order something online or our postman is getting a "gift". One of these days I will not get another item sent to replace the one that conveniently gets lost by the post office every single time!

My mail was put on hold. It was to resume on Saturday, July 30th 2011 but it didn't.

I would have paid my bills and posted before August 1st but now it will be at least on the 2nd of August.

For the past week and a half, my mail carrier has not been delivering my mail; even before that, services were erratic. My box has been empty the entire time; it is not too full for her to put the mail in, and she has never left a note in the mailbox to indicate that my mail was sent back or on hold at the post office.

I checked with my local post office, as well as the one my carrier reports to, and my mail is at neither of these locations. People who have sent me mail have not had those pieces of mail returned, so my mail is not being sent back. I can only assume then that my carrier is stealing my mail. She refuses to answer my questions of why she is not delivering my mail.

I noticed that I haven't been getting mail for more than one week. At first, I thought it was because no one was mailing me. Yesterday, 7/28/2011, I went to the Post Office to inquire about this. They found some of my mail had been put on a 10-day hold. I had no note in my mailbox informing me of this. I am currently missing a credit card bill, electrical bill, pay stub, and other mail that I do not know of. I would not have known my mail was being withheld if I didn't check at the post office. They could not answer why this is being done or when this started.

Today, 7/29/11, I saw my mail carrier at my apartment's mailbox. There was no mail in my mailbox. I asked her why I haven't been receiving my mail and she said that I haven't been picking up my mail. I told her that I've been checking my mail every day and there is no mail. She said the mail is being returned to the original sender. I asked her when she started holding my mail and she wouldn't answer me. She ignored my questions and laughed at me. She handed me a piece of paper with a 1-800 number to call for help.

My mail carrier is not delivering my mail to my mailbox, which causes me to have to go to the post office clear across town to pick up my mail from the counter. The problem is I work 12-hour days 5-6 days a week and they are never open when I am not at work.

There has never been a note in my mailbox notifying me that my mail was at the post office or why they were not delivering my mail. What can I do about this and is it even legal for a mail carrier to withhold delivery of my mail?

I have not received mail for 11 days straight. I have filed complaints and not received any reason why, nor where my mail is, or when this will be corrected. I spoke with one person at the post office who was very friendly, but still did not give me a reason, nor when the issue would be resolved.

My girlfriend and I have resided at this address ** Forest Road since Feb. 1, 2011. We do not receive all of our mails. We had to call the utility companies every month to find out how much our bills are. We have magazine subscriptions that we do not receive.

What can we do to resolve this problem?

I waited all day for my delivery and the delivery person said the package was undeliverable because it has to be signed for. When the sheriff delivers a summon, I hear the bell or knock. I had something to do the next day and now have to cancel it, which is very important. Very poor service. I don't even want my product anymore because of the long wait.

The postal carrier, Monty, put a "dog hold" on our mail service four times now. Not one time the dog was unrestrained; the side gate was open, but the dog was inside the house.

I installed a new mail box in the front yard; he still complained the very dog he pet and had no problem with in the past. It all started when I refused to weld something for his personal hot rod car at his house. Something very wrong with this guy; his fingernails are long and yellow, and he smells like he does not take showers.

I think he may have mental issues and he has made attempts to talk with my 9 year old son.

My mail has not been delivered for a month. Their phone is busy even when no one is there.

On July 22, 2011 at 8:36am, I went to the USPS in Lubbock, Texas and overnighted a package from Lubbock to Houston, Tx. The tracking label that I was given when I paid for the service was **

The receipt I have kept guarantees delivery by 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 23rd. At 12:30pm, I was contacted by my daughter and sister-in-law who were waiting at the receiving address in Houston that the package had not been delivered. I immediately contacted the USPS and complained. The customer service representative said that she was escalating the problem to the research department to try to locate the package. She took my name and phone number and she told me that I would receive a call.

At 2:30, the package was still not delivered and I called back to USPS. I spoke to the rudest customer service representative you can imagine. She said that the package had been located and would be delivered by 5:00 p.m. I asked to speak to a supervisor to see if we could have the package delivered immediately and she refused. When I insisted, she hung up on me.

At 6:12pm, I received a confirmation email which said that my package had been delivered at 11:07 a.m. WHAT! This is a lie. I was on the phone at 12:30 reporting that the package had NOT been delivered. I have been lied to, hung up on, and charged for a delivery that did not happen. Can your agency look into this?

My mother's case number is **, and her name is Alice **. My name is Carolyn **, and we reside at the same address. Hopefully, I'm contacting the same entity. On June 14, 2011, I spoke with an agent at 404-765-7702. I told her about the multiple problems we've been having with our mail for almost 18 months. Our mail has been torn apart on multiple occasions. The see through window on our mail has been cut open, and the mail was tampered with. Our envelopes have been torn or partially opened. It looks as if our mail has even been steamed opened at times. I used to receive miscellaneous mail, coupon offers from stores in our neighborhood, but now we pretty much do not receive any mail. We didn't used to receive tons of mail, but it was consistent and almost daily. It has gotten to the point that we receive mail maybe 2 or 3 times a week, and when we do, it's maybe one item.

When I made the call to the representative named Angela, she stated that she would be sending me something in the mail to test the post office, and see if I would receive the test mail that she sent. This is important because she stated that the information that she was sending would need to be filled in by me, and returned to her. I've yet to receive that mail. When I call 404-765-7702, I have to hold at least 20 minutes and cannot get through. I would like for someone to help address this issue for my mother and me. We have filed a complaint for maybe three times. We have spoken to people at the post office in Marietta, and their attitudes are not pleasant.

The supervisor who is over my area at the post office stated that he remembers our address, and that we never received a lot of mail. Why is he still interested in what we receive is my question? More importantly, he's incorrect. He seemed a little touchy for someone who doesn't deliver mail to our address any more. Why does he have our address in particular embedded in his brain if he subscribes to the idea that he hasn't delivered mail to our address for some time? We have had the most private of mail not show up, cut open, and ripped from one side to the other. It appears at times as if the dog ate the mail. You can tell that the mail has been manipulated. We would like someone to call us at your earliest convenience time to discuss this matter in further detail.

For four weeks, the mail carrier that works four to five days out of the week is refusing to deliver my mail because my mail box is unsecured. We found out on the 19th of July, after observing her and after she admitted when confronted, that she was the one opening my mailbox from the back. When we reported her to her supervisor, she sided with her and allowed her to discontinue delivering my mail even though the two other carriers on her route still delivered my mail. So I advised the supervisor and I was asked to file a complaint telling me that I had no ground so I advised her that I would be letting the post master general, postal inspector, the BBB, and consumer affairs know, so she reluctantly gave me the form. So in essence, she was denying my request without resolving the issue until she realized that I had the knowledge and the will to go to higher authorities.

On the following day, she sent another male worker to the apartment mailbox where the regular mail clerk showed him our box. He formed a fist and entered it through the back of the box and repeatedly punched the door till it opened and further damaged the door where it is now no longer functioning. The most disturbing of all this was on the first of July when I was issued a check by EDD and that check has disappeared. The mail carrier told me that she personally sent it back to EDD and not to the post office as required, this I know to be true because I called the post office twice that afternoon and the following morning and there was no mail returned to my mail box at the post office. The result is that, I had to file a missing check affidavit because the check never turned up. So with this, I came to the conclusion that she has either stolen or discarded my mail in an inappropriate manner. Her supervisor is condoning this behavior by not correcting the issue and telling me that I must now repay the work that her worker has created. On the 20th, I put a hold on my mail when I went to collect it. The mail room supervisor advised me that she would personally look through my mail and if a check came in, she would return my mail and cancel the hold on my mail. It's not her job or duty that hold is to be in placed for ten working days and not at her discretion. There has also been two incidents that the mail carrier has engaged in a yelling match with my fianc (one that she started) which again is 100% unprofessional. We do have witnesses to verify these actions and a fellow postal worker that worked that route the day before monday, the 18th of July and he stated that sounds like something she would do (pop by mailbox) She's a total bitch if you get on her bad side.

As of now my phone is shut off, my cable disconnected, my landlord is threatening me with eviction plus the late fees for all the bills listed above. There has been a total of $1,398.00. My entire monthly income has been temporarily denied to me due to this office's inappropriate handling of mail and the negligence to resolve this issue in a proper manner. I would like this mail carrier be dismissed due to being unprofessional and mishandling my mail because as I stated above, she was personally making decisions with my mail and not following regulations. I would also like the supervisor to be reprimanded for not sanctioning and correcting her employee's behavior.

I have lived in my house for 25 years and for the past eight or nine months, my mailman is putting an apartment number on my address. This is a house but I have two mailboxes because I have two different people living here. The postman has sent a lot of my mail as undeliverable and it took me about six months to figure this out and in the mean time, she has sent back my certificates from the state to get paid from my daycare. The state sent eight certificates before I received one. The only reason I got it was because I left her a note saying that this was sent out so please watch for it. She wrote a rude, nasty note saying that I need to change my address to apartment #2 or she will keep returning my mail. I have talked with Paul at the new towns post office about three times and I have gotten nowhere.

I didn't get paid for my daycare service last October to December and until May 2011, I didn't get a notice that a bill from my doctor was sent to collections and now the collection agency won't remove it after I paid because it was over six months since I contacted them. I don't get any of my insurance cards from the state.

I have never had a problem in 25 years and I never had apartment #2 on my address. Paul, her supervisor, has talked to her and she keeps writing on my mail that she is going to send my mail back if I don't put it on there. I need this resolved and I can't have a postman choosing what mail I will get. I'm at the point of calling my lawyer to file a law suit.

The item was logged as delivered but not delivered. Kesha gave misleading information from beginning to end. I would like someone, independent of USPS, to look at facts and look for possible misconduct on the part of the individuals concerned.

Since June 13 of this year we have had increasing difficulties with our 'mail carrier' who seems to think that as long as he gets the mail 'in the vicinity', he's done his job. He has thrown the mail on the front porch, delivered after hours and on weekends and, in short, not delivered business mail in a business fashion. Multiple complaints have been ignored both locally and by Consumer Affairs.

I purchased an item from eBay on 6/12/11. The package was sent via mail on 6/14/11 thru the Allentown Post Office, with delivery confirmation and insurance. The estimated delivery date to me was 6/20/11. The package never arrived. I began calling the post office and was told that they could not tell what was going on with the package; and I would need to wait until 6/30 to put in a trace. I called on 6/30 and put a trace on the package. I got a call on 7/1 from my local post office in Lawrenceville, Georgia stating that the package has been looping around in the Allentown Post Office since it was sent, and has never been forwarded to me.

I asked when this would be corrected and was told that my local post office won't get involved; and I was to go to the Allentown, Pennsylvania post office and let them know what is going on. The sender of the package went to the Allentown Post Office and was given no information -- was only told to make a claim. I called the customer service number for the post office on 7/5 and again, there was no additional information, no idea where my package is, and no idea of when it will be sent to me -- if it ever will. I am now out of my money; and I don't have the item that I purchased. The post office, which clearly has the package, cannot provide any information as to what they are doing and what they plan to do to correct the problem.

I made a complaint against our local post office and now I am being victimized!

I have had the same storage unit here in town, for over 2 yrs. and always mail my payment with no address, just a c/o...all of a sudden the local post office says they WILL NOT deliver it any more without an address....really...why now?! Oh, I made a formal complaint!! Welcome to small, population of 2000, USA...

I ordered an item online and the sender mailed the package. I received notice on Friday that the package could be picked up at the South Elgin Station on Saturday.

I showed up Saturday to claim my package and the postman gave me a package. I went out to the car and opened it just to find out it was a wrong package. I returned to the station and informed them of such. At this time, he went back and looked for the correct package and came back stating they could not find the package and to please call the Elgin station (gave number) to see if they have it. (I was not the only one that day looking for a lost package either.)

I called the Elgin Station and they said it was in the truck and to be delivered. So I sit home all day Saturday waiting for the package. Nothing arrived so I called before closing time. They said they can't find the package and that I will have to wait until Tuesday and check South Elgin.

So I took an hour off my government job to try and take care of this issue but when I got to the South Elgin post office, there was no package again. These people have looked online and it showed the package was delivered on Friday--I said no! That is why I am here, this notice was left at my door on Friday. Then I was told to write down my number and they will call me if they find the package.

This is poor customer service, and someone should deal with the fact that they have lost my package when it showed it was delivered (NOT). I spent hard-earned money for what I ordered and expected to be compensated for what they have lost. Could you please help!

I bought a new Dyson Fan on e-Bay for $249.93. The fan costs $500 through Dyson. It never arrived, so I was finally sent an email from the seller with the tracking number that said it was delivered a week earlier.

I never received this package and it would have only been outside for an hour. I have never had anything stolen. It would be very difficult for someone to walk up and take something that big without being noticed by the neighbors. The seller did not take out insurance or require a signature. e-Bay does not require insurance for anything under $250. I got a letter from the post office stating that our area is being serviced by seven mail persons because the usual person is out sick. They stated that it was either due to an error by the carrier or theft.

It appears that I have no recourse and am out $250. I honestly think it was delivered to the wrong address.

On June 23 2011, my sister went to the Sunnyvale post office to address mail that was not being forwarded. She was no longer a resident and was not legally able to make any changes in regard to the forwarding of mail form my address. On June 27, I failed to receive a package that was expected from Amazon.com with a tracking number of 9102 9010 0129 7181 9702 18.

Between June 23 and June 27, my partner and I received no mail at our address. On June 27, I sent an email complaint to the central USPS service requesting assistance in addressing the delivery of my package, the restoration of our mail service and the recovery of mail that has since been in "limbo."

Cases CA105558329 (for discontinued service and the lost package) and CA105575200 (just for the lost package, as previous case was closed and considered "resolved" even though my package hadn't been returned to me) were opened in order to address the issues of the lost package (not really "lost", just stuck in the system looping) and the lack of mail service.

Mail was received for one day, and hasn't been received since.

Concerning the package, I was contacted by the Sunnyvale USPS location and was told the package had been found and was being routed back to me. Via tracking, it can be shown that the package has been re-routed twice. As of today (the promised re-delivery date), the package has once again been registered as "missent" and is now headed to another sorting facility.

Perhaps this is just my perspective, but cases that are not "resolved" shouldn't be closed until all issues have been addressed. The choice of the Sunnyvale USPS location to close the original case constitutes negligence as it is closing a customer's complaint without addressing all (now any since mail service has stopped again) of the issues of the complaint.

While I respect the busy and chaotic nature of the delivery industry, USPS provides a paid service. This being the case, the USPS office should be held accountable for its continued failures much the same as any other business would be.

I have been overly diligent in attempting to resolve these issues with the postal service. I placed calls to the main center three mornings in a row and spoke with the local office twice. I was assured everything was being addressed.

However, since I stopped calling, the mail has not been coming and my package was routed to an unknown destination.

Finally, the local USPS office has been unable to provide me with the location of the mail I should have received during the original week in which I wasn't receiving service. They can't tell me if it was returned to sender, forwarded to another address or just sitting in a post office somewhere.

For the past 3 days, I have not seen a mail delivery here at Lees Chapel Road. Why is this and when will it be delivered? It's very late these past two weeks and it seems that it's just flyers and junk mail. What's the problem!

We have not received our mail, for over 2 weeks. The post office said, the mailman was attacked by a "bird" and afraid of them. A Postman must brave the harshest weather, dogs, cats and asorted animals. But we have not received our mail, because a 6ft , 250+ pound man, is afraid of "Birds".

We live on Washington St, which is a major street in the Boston Area. Thousands of cars drive and people walk pass our homes every day. The odds of him being attached by a bird again is one in a million. I personally think, he is using the birds as a excuse not to be in our multi culture neighborhood.

Birds are everywhere. It summer 2011. Are the birds in our neiborhood any different from the birds in his neighborhood? If he doesn't want to do his job, please replace our mailman immediately.

Postage is paid to the USPS to have the mail delivered to our homes. We shouldn't have to pick up our mail at the post office for weeks, because of a bird that is long gone.

We have filed a partition to replace the mailman. The partition has many signatures from the homes in this area.

Non delivery of mail. My neighbors have a P.O. Box which means they do not get mail delivery. The carriers do not skip this house as they should because there is no mail for that house, and deliver my mail to it. This has happened time and time again. My neighbors will not return the misdelivered mail. I have called the Post Office numerous times. They say someone will call me back, which never happens. I have asked the carriers to put in a "Carrier Alert Card" in my address which they say they will do, but when I have asked them if one is in there the answer is no.

An angry, former roommate moved out of my apartment, and on a vacation, put our mail hold through September. When my roommates and I hadn't received mail in a week, I contacted USPS. I received no response for 5 days, and filed three separate complaints asking them to contact me. Finally, we discovered the inappropriate hold placed on the mail; and they said service would resume the following business day. We have now not received mail since June 3rd or June 4th and despite having two phone numbers and three names to people at my local station who are supposed to be helping me, I cannot get in touch with anyone at the station anymore. We still are not receiving mail. The last time I got through was late last week when a postal worker told me, and I quote, "I guess your mail has miraculously disappeared." He said there was no hold, no previous hold on the mail, and no mail waiting in the post office for myself or my roommates.

My mail routinly does not get deliviered to me on Saturdays. NO MORE

As recently as of tues June 21st I was told that my mailbox was broken the mailman was aware of this and was still putting mail in the mailboxes even though it was easy for someone to pull open the mailboxes. This went on for the rest of the week. I was told by my housing that the post office was holding everyones mail. I went into the post office on Sat June 25th and was told that they weren't holding our mail that the mailman was still delivering the mail to broken mail boxes.

She then notified me that it wasn't until Sat June 25th that that's when the mail was starting to be held. I then asked so where is my mail from the past couple of days I was then told I don't know. This response really upset me because common sense would tell you not to put mail in a broken mailbox to where anyone can get access to. I get credit card bills in the mail that have my whole credit card numbers on it I feel like someone should be held accountable for this.I put in a complaint with the post office and was told someone should be getting back to me by Tues June 28th this doesn't help me with the problem of knowing where my mail has been since tues June 21st. I just really want answers. A response will be greatly appreciated

Rude, disrepectful, obnoxious. Hostile, loud, pointing fingers and unwilling to listen to questions.Holding packages and not delivering mail because she did not recognize this particular family members name. When her name and employee number were requested, she provided a toll free sex line telephone number.WHAT? This added fuel to the fire. This is an employee of the government. I filed a complaint with USPS customer service. The more I think of this situation the angrier I become. I am outraged!

i sent a mail on 7/3/2011 to my daughter who is staying at an Extended Stay In Marrietta Georgia. The mail consisted of $ 7.43 in postage stamps, $215.00 money order and $20. cash pocket money., and her birth certificate. My daughter asked the front desk clerk at the hotel to look out for this mail which was sent certified. The mail was never delivered. after 3 day we both contacted the P.O an they stated that it it being returned to me "addressee unknown." I have not get that mail back as yet. Everyday the Avon and Georgia P.O is stating that I should get it tomorrow.

My name is Shawnisa **. I have lived in new york city for 6 years and i have never experienced anything like this before. I ordered a package (blackberry style) from a seller on ebay. I paid $186 for the phone, I was pretty much stalking the USPS website for the package because i needed to send it off internationally with my sister the following day to Antigua and Barbuda. The website informed me about 11:30 am, June 11th 2011 that the package was delivered.

I thought that was weird because i was at home until 1pm and i left a note on a letter size paper giving instructions that USPS should ring the door bell on the second floor. After he left I went downstairs and there was no package. The following day i spoke to the supervisor at the post office in question. Then, I saw the same mail man that same day and asked him about the package. He admitted that he saw the instructions but said that not only did he not remember following the instructions on the note but also that my neighborhood is bad and should expect "that these things should happen".... I almost cried. This guy comes everyday speaking on his bluetooth so loudly that if I'm at home on a quiet day I can hear him coming. I have received several packages at my address and this was the first time i had a situation like this.

The supervisor at the office says that they will try to locate the package but since it was not insured the liability is mine. I refuse to accept that. How could he remember the note, my neighbors and the instruction clearly and not remembering following the instructions? I have researched this particular post office and i have read poor reviews. I cannot afford to lose that money, I am appealing to you because everyone else has someone fighting for them. The mailman has the post office covering for him and the seller has proven that he has sent the items, so who fights for me?

I had 2 packages to be delivered on 04/27/2011. Tracking info said both packages were delivered, but they were not delivered to my house. I called USPS 800 number, opened a case and was told someone would get back to me within 2 business days. On the third day, I called again. They opened another case and said someone would get back to me within 2 business days.

Again, on the third day I called yet again. And they opened another case and said someone would get back to me within 2 business days. I was out of town the next week when someone from my local post office called. So I called them back two times and left a message each time. They have yet to call me back. I called the 800 number again. They told me to call the consumer affairs office. I have tried that number twice and no one ever answers. Funny, I had two packages due to arrive the same day and neither one showed up although the tracking info said they were delivered.

Ordered a Keyboard on Ebay from a certified seller. Keyboard arrived in Concord post office April 29, 2011 and went out for delivery. It never arrived. I began calling the post office May 5th to locate the item. I was told they would look into it and get right back to me. This went on for several days until I asked to speak with a supervisor (Miriam), who told me the same story.

She would contact the Carrier and get back to me in a few minutes, but never did. I had the same failed conversation with her three times before I drove to the post office after no call back. I was refused to see her even though I said I would wait patiently all day. Again, they looked up my package and said we will get right back to you. After that incident, I contacted the seller who contacted the Portland Oregon Distribution center (USPS) to see what had happened. They tried contacting Concord only to be ignored in the same fashion that I was.

So, I then called Concord to get a number to file a formal complaint and was given a disconnected number. This package has been the most frustrating but it's not the only one. My Christmas presents never arrived and my employer will no longer mail my paychecks because those to are not showing up. Generally speaking out mail doesn't even show up each day. I have made attempts to talk to the carrier as well but it's always a different person and they have no information. I've ordered many things online but it's only since I moved to Concord that I'm afraid to order by mail.

To the best of my knowledge, these are the actual dates I have been into the post office to complain or send letters. I have not marked these dates on my calendar, but believe them to be fairly accurate.

Years 2005 through 2007: We had three vehicles during this time and would occasionally park one of our vehicles in front of our mailbox. Nasty notes were left on the windshield or in our mailbox. The notes stated that we were obstructing our mailbox and that our carrier had every right to withhold mail until we moved our vehicle. There were several times that he placed old photocopied penal codes or citations validating that we were in violation and mail was being withheld until we removed our vehicle.

July 2008: I complained to "Dolly" as the mail carrier supervisor or postmaster was not available without an appointment. Dolly (or Dottie) was a former neighbor of mine in early 2000 when I lived on ** (different address). She stated that she would relay the message. The following week, two Netflix DVDs which were delivered were broken in two.

August 2009: My adult son came to live with us for a year. He drove a small Ford Escort and parked it on the street in front of our home, not directly in front of the mailbox but was close to it. Postal Carrier left two nasty notes on my son's car, one was the photocopy of penal codes stating it was against the law for him to block a post box and mail could be suspended. My son was a police cadet at the Brentwood Police Department and was very upset at the note, thinking that his behavior would be reported to the Brentwood Police. We did not second guess the postal carrier, but believed that we all had violated the law, according to his notes.

My son was on a tour and I did not have keys to move his car. Our mail was withheld for almost a week. I had to leave work early to get to the post office before closing to retrieve our mail. Whenever my son would forget and park right in front of our mailbox, our mail was not delivered.

May 25, 2010: We went away for a few days and our house/dog sitter parked on the street in front of our mailbox and received the same threat notices, so she moved her car. When we returned, we went into the post office and spoke with supervisor, Marvin. I stated that he was leaving threat notices on our cars and was also curious to know if he was legally permitted to drive on the sidewalk? He said that the postal carrier was a union employee and it was very difficult to get anything done, so I needed to write a letter first. He said that he would give the letter to the postmaster and she or someone would be in contact with me once my letter was reviewed to let me know of the outcome.

June 11, 2010: My letter to the Postmaster received no reply.

August 15, 2010: I called Orinda Post Office and left a message for the Postmaster. An anonymous voicemail was left at my office (no name given) stating that the letter was received and "disciplinary action is underway". The message left sounded like Marvin, the carrier's supervisor.

Mail was withheld several times over the course of 2 months. Often, 2 days would go by with no mail whatsoever. When mail was received, we noticed the postmark date was older than necessary. We were not sure if our carrier was retaliating because of our complaint letter, or if the mail service was slow.

January 19, 2011: I was driving home from the store and noticed our postal carrier in front of me. He blew right through a stop sign on Ivy and Risa Court, directly in front of Orinda Intermediate School. He did not slow down, just ran right through the stop sign, and then made a right turn onto Risa Court. The time was approximately 3:30 pm and there were children walking from the intermediate school on the sidewalk and in the bike lanes. He did not even look to the right where children were waiting to cross.

Saturday, January 22, 2011: As we were driving up the street, we spotted our postal carrier driving in the opposite direction, going up the hill to Ivy Drive. We turned around and videotaped him going down the hill, past our home, driving on the sidewalk. We went directly into the post office and spoke with Marvin again. He again told us that we were dealing with the union and that our carrier (Manuel **) was a long-term employee and he was able to pick his choice of routes. He has received complaints before, but every time supervisor Marvin goes with him for a "ride along", he behaves and never drives on the sidewalk.

Supervisor Marvin stated that we could e-mail him the video clips along with a copy of the original complaint letter from June and he would "take action". He verified that carrier Manuel ** was a problem carrier and had been written up several times, in fact Marvin stated that Manuel's personnel file was "this thick" (indicating the size by his fingers). I asked for the e-mail address for the Postmaster, but he said she wouldn't be able to view the videotape, that we should forward to his personal e-mail address and he had a way of forwarding it along and would do so. He stated that she would call us after reviewing the letter and videos.

March 3, 2011: I received a phone call from EBMUD (Water Company) that mail was returned with a sticker that said, "Undeliverable". We were delinquent on our water bill because the bill was returned as they assumed we moved.

March 8, 2011: We received a phone call from Chase Credit Card Services that our Visa account was past due because of non-payment, and the bill being returned to their office unopened.

Mail was also sporadically withheld, sometimes 2-days in a row.

Saturday, April 9, 2011: We were having lunch on the front patio and witnessed carrier Manuel ** zipping past our house, driving on the sidewalk, without stopping at our home to deliver mail.

We drove down to the post office and again spoke with supervisor Marvin. I advised Marvin that my next stop would be to the Orinda Police Department. Marvin again stated that he has done all he could do. He said that carrier Manuel just arrived and he was going to check his bag to see if our mail was in there. He came back and said that there was no mail addressed to us.

April 12, 2011: My mail order Rx was not received, but was guaranteed for delivery on this day. We went into the Orinda Police Department and filed a complaint. Officer Grey stated that he could not assist me with carrier Manuel retaliating (withholding mail, returning mail and breaking DVDs), but he could observe the carrier to see if he drove on the sidewalk and issue a citation if he did. He further verified that carrier Manuel was in violation by driving on the sidewalk and creating unsafe conditions for bicyclist, pedestrians and children, as we are next door to Orinda Intermediate School.

We went into the post office again to inform supervisor Marvin that I had been to the police department and we only wanted to receive our mail, unopened and unharmed! At this point, we were sure that our mail was being tampered with and we were being retaliated against. Marvin said that he didn't know what to do. He would recommend removing Manuel ** from the Orinda Post Office, which is what he wanted to do, but his hands were tied. He said that every time he does a "ride along" with Manuel, he obeys all traffic laws and there is no problem. He further stated that another Orinda resident complained about carrier Manuel; I did not understand the details, but something about an accident.

Marvin stated that he has forwarded all of our letters, e-mails, complaints and videos to Maria, the Orinda Postmaster and that if I wanted to meet with her, she was very busy and I would have to take time off work and make an appointment during early morning hours. I work in San Francisco and am at work before the Orinda Post Office opens to the public.

April 18, 2011: A former postal employee referred me to the USPS Postal Inspection office. I called, and after several conversations, was referred to my local USPS Consumer Affairs office. I was told to call Elma **. I called today and left a very detailed message. (Note: 3 weeks have transpired and my call has not been returned.)

April 26, 2011: I left a message for Kim ** with the Consumer Affairs Postal office. (Note: 2 weeks have transpired and no returned call).

May 3, 2011: I called Kim ** with my local Consumer Affairs Postal office and was referred to Lavetta**, assistant to Mr. Oscar **. I was told Mr. ** would be able to assist. I left a very detailed message. (1 week has transpired and I have not received a return call.)

Last week and this week, we have had a total of 3 Netflix DVDs returned to Netflix. We have had an account with them for over 10-years and have never experienced delivery problems on their end. These movie rentals are being opened, placed in a "return to sender envelope" and returned back to them. We are not doing this. Additionally, our mailbox door is left wide open most every day, while other homeowners' mailbox doors are politely shut.

May 7, 2011: Last Saturday, at approximately 12:30 pm, we were driving up Ivy Drive, headed to our home. We saw our mail carrier, Manuel ** crest the top of Ivy Drive in front of us driving towards us. We passed him and made a U-turn to observe if he would again drive on the sidewalk or bypass our home.

We videotaped Manuel driving on the sidewalk as he customarily does! Front and rear right tires are on the sidewalk, while his left front and rear tires are on the asphalt, in the Bike Lane. Manuel drove down Ivy Drive on the sidewalk. He skipped our house completely! He paused approximately 50 feet in front of our home for about a minute (maybe going through our mail and putting it elsewhere). We had mail addressed, stamped and in need of pickup, not only did he not deliver our mail, but he did not stop to pick up the mail in our mailbox. He continued to drive down Ivy Drive on the sidewalk. The sidewalk ends in front of the Orinda Intermediate School bus off-loading and soccer/baseball field, where many children play on weekdays and weekends. When he arrived at the end of the sidewalk, he drove off the curb/sidewalk directly in front of a blind corner (fence with greenery) where children or pedestrians could have suddenly appeared! In the video we took, you can see the USPS vehicle jar as it comes down hard from the sidewalk onto the street.

We went to our mailbox, picked up the mail, which he did not stop to collect, and drove to the Orinda Post Office. The office closed 30-minutes before and after several minutes of knocking on the doors (we could see them behind the counters), we dropped off our mail in the slots, unable to speak to anyone.

We called an hour later and spoke to Manuel's supervisor, Marvin. He told us that there were three (3) other complaints against Carrier Manuel. I explained what had just transpired and that we were certain that we were being retaliated against at this point. We further explained that we have a video proving today's events. Marvin seemed surprised that Postmaster Maria still has not returned our calls or addressed our concerns as he claims he has forwarded everything to her. We asked to have our mail be put on "hold" so that we can pick it up from the Orinda Post Office. At this point, we are afraid of severe retaliation. Obviously, our complaint was not anonymous and he is retaliating against us.

May 9, 2011: I called the Consumer Affairs office again and reached Lavada, who triaged my call in the office. I told her that I called a week ago and nobody returned my call. I told her that we were ready to retain legal counsel as we have had to put our mail on "vacation hold" to stop our carrier from tampering with our mail due to retaliation. She asked a couple of questions and stated that she would have Mr. ** call me back.

May 11, 2011: After another 2-days of not receiving a call back, I called Kim ** office. I explained that I would like to speak with someone who would be able to deal with this issue. I was forwarded to Lavada's direct line. Lavetta remembered my call from Monday. She then said, "Can I ask you something? Do you know your carrier?" I stated that I knew he delivered our mail, but didn't understand what she meant. She said, "This sounds personal to me, I was curious if you had a relationship with him or something? Because why would a postal carrier do these things to you? I just don't understand why he would do this? It sounds strange to me." I replied with, "Why wouldn't he do this?" (I have not fabricated one iota! My partner and I have been the victims here and I shouldn't have to defend myself against someone who is not only violating the law, but certainly some code of ethics of being a "public employee.) I further explained that this has been going on for years and I am tired of spending my time defending my right to be treated with respect, and receive my mail and not be retaliated against.

Lavada was very kind and listened to what I had to say, and patched me through to the Orinda Post Office where we left a message for Marie, the Postmaster. I explained that I was leaving work within minutes and would be home to take her call. Lavada said that I could forward to her my letters of complaint, videos of the carrier driving on our sidewalk and not stopping to deliver mail, or check our mailbox! When I reached home at 5 pm, there was no message from Marie. I drove down to the post office to pick up our mail (which there is only 5 pieces for 4-days of no delivery). I asked to speak with Marie, but she was not in at 5:30.

I drive past Orinda Oaks Park, which is next to our home. Almost daily I see our postal carrier sitting in there in his USPS vehicle, reading or eating (between 4 and 5 PM). I know he recognizes our vehicles as well.

May 12, 2011: I arrived to work and Postmaster left a voicemail from the day before. I e-mailed to Lavada the documents along with the videos.

The e-mail was returned because the USPS mail server could not deliver all of the letters, videos and attachments. I called Lavada to ask if there was another method of delivery. She called back with Marie the Orinda Postmaster on the line and Marie left another message for me that she would be there for "20-minutes". I e-mailed Lavada asking if there was another form of e-mail delivery for all of these documents. She replied to my e-mail that Marie left another message for me, and I should speak with her now. She did not answer my question. I called Lavada back again and stated that I would like to send these documents to her. I now feel Lavada is passing us off, as she told me that Marie the Postmaster was the only one who could help me at this point! I again shared with Lavada that this has been going on for years! Because of the nature of this, I would like to speak with someone who is over the Orinda Post Office. I was told that I could file a complaint with an entity over the local office. Lavada said that I could fax her letters. She said that there are budget cuts and the postmaster is doing all she can, which is why she has not responded over the past several months.

I cannot believe that I have been calling for a month and no response from the USPS, just putting me off or trying to pass me off to the local post office wherein the problem originated.

We don't know what else to do. Our taxes are paying the carrier's salary and we are being retaliated against. Is our carrier a homophobe with issues about our sexual orientation? Or is he simply being mean and spiteful because we have complained? We deserve to receive our mail, unopened, not tampered with and unharmed. Additionally, we have been threatened with bogus notices, as well as anyone who parks in front of our mailbox. Mail delivery has been withheld, and continues to be withheld as well as not picked up from our mailbox. Carrier Manuel continues to drive on a public sidewalk, which is not only against the law and very unsafe, but our taxes are paying for the upkeep on these city sidewalks. They are not meant to withstand a vehicle driving on them. We have already had one problem with our sidewalk and have needed repairs.

At this point, I am requesting that he be removed from our route. For years, he has driven on the sidewalk without receiving any reprimand. He continues to jeopardize the safety of children and pedestrians. He has left nasty notes on our vehicles for the past few years. He has withheld the delivery of our mail. He has placed, "Not Deliverable" stickers on two of our bills. Our Netflix DVDs have been broken. They have also been opened and put back into a "return" envelope without us receiving them! He has driven right past our house without stopping to deliver or pick up mail in the mail box! Ever since we began complaining in person and via mail /e-mail, he has retaliated against us. I do not feel that he will have the respect, courtesy or integrity to deliver our mail, obey traffic laws and not retaliate at this point. This is why our mail continues to be held at the post office. I am very certain that if /when this issue is dealt with or disciplinary action administered, it will only get worse. I hope these problems can be remedied without further retaliation. We do not know what else to do at this point.

My postal office is at the address above. I signed up for a P.O. Box in Wilkinsburg because it's closer to my house. The mail carrier LT knocked on my door and said he signed off and approved it. I had not even paid for the box nor did I put a change of address yet. Ever since that day, I haven't received any mail. It's been 3 weeks now, people and businesses are calling and asking if I have received any mail from them. I am a health worker who receives checks, bills letters and so on. I have not seen any of my mail that used to come regularly each month. I talked to Lenore, the supervisor and Gaegano, the manager and they were of no help. They were more concerned about mails coming for the day then trying to find out where my mail has went to these past 3 weeks. I am very concerned about this situation. Please help me because I'm not getting anything solved with them.

The delivery person can't put the mail in the right mail box. Now because of that I lost my day care. I don't think this is far for me or my kids. I have called down to the post office and complained. I also just the other day went in to the office, stood in line for 45 min to see manager. Never got to see one . Also I have talked to the delivery person about this, does no good because my mail is still being put in some else's mail box. Also the man that lives at ** will sent my mail back to the sender .

I ordered $250 worth of coins from US Mint. I tracked the package to the day it was delivered. When I checked my mail box, the box was empty! There were obvious marks on it like someone had tried to open it with a key. Inside, I found my shipping receipt crumbled up.

We have a female carrier that a while back had an accident on the job. Things have not been the same since. She hates dogs so if a dog barks at her she refuses to deliver the mail. Yesterday she said that she was threatened (not sure if true) so she discontinued her route on our block. The biggest complaint is that if the bills are not out on time then there is a penalty that I have to pay for my payments being late. She is a really nice lady but something has to give. Anyone else that takes over her route doesn't seem to have the problems she has and we even get our mail a lot earlier in the day. Maybe an inside job at one of the branches would better suite her and her needs. Please help us with the situation as it is crazy.

I mailed a package through USPS from Las Vegas to Walnut, California. The package was never delivered. This was a customer of mine, the package was important.

Mail delivery in my area was suspended because the mail carrier was robbed. My complaint is the post office refuses to hand out mail after 4 p.m. I can not pick my mail up prior to this time because I have a job like most red-blooded Americans in this city. I tried to file a complaint with the manager and he hung up on me. I tried to contact the corporate office and they were no help either. I need my mail to either be delivered or the post office needs to be able to hand me my mail at whatever time I arrive as long as it is within their normal hours of operation. I am not asking them to create new hours; however, the customer should not be the one inconvenienced.

This is the only General Delivery Service post office in Costa Mesa, CA. When you fill out a pink card, that states that they hold mail for up to 30 days and General Delivery Service lasts as long as the person needs it, indefinitely. The woman keeps having me fill out new pink cards, and states that we only receive General Delivery Service for 30 days; then it has to be re-applied for. Meanwhile, she sent back my mail that I have been waiting for which hadn't even been there for 30 days.

I have been in the area almost three months, and have only been able to get 2-pieces of mail from these people. I had to call the police, to explain to the woman that she doesn't understand the mail definition. I still didn't get my mail, and I am waiting for my new California ID card, so I can get elsewhere on with my life. She stated that she sent it back. ID is very important, and she's keeping us from having it. I have an out-of-state Driver's license that is still valid, and I wanted to use the California ID as a second photo ID, for this state, so I can get work. This woman has my life on hold and I am unable to continue forward until I receive my mail.

I was also a victim of ID theft twenty years ago when I lived in California. I got new ID, but someone else out there is making my life a nightmare.

I have not received a Priority Mail package under tracking number: **, which the update is that on March 13th, the package went through the sort facility but never made it to the receiver's post office of 33009 nor delivered. I have filed two investigations, which went to the receiver's post office of 33009 under ** which I received a call within 48 hours that they cannot find the package and there was nothing they can do. I refiled another investigation which is pending under **. There is no means if you don't buy insurance with priority mail, which is not clear and they have no tracking system of where that package is. I am now in dispute with the buyer over this issue. USPS should have some liability over lost packages with tracking info, which the package was lost between the sort facility and the receiving post office. There has to be a process here where USPS has liability too?

I mailed two packages Priority Mail from my home on March 15, 2011. I did not request a carrier pick up on this date. I did, however, speak with my carrier, "Wayne," when he picked up the two packages (tracking numbers: ** and **). I watched as he put the boxes in his messenger bag, and walked away. Those items were never scanned anywhere, and never received by my best friend or mother in law.

Before realizing that there was an issue with the first two packages, I mailed two more packages from home, carrier pick up. These items also were never scanned, or delivered. They were mailed on March 20, 2011 (tracking numbers: ** and **). When contacting your 1-800-ASK-USPS number I am certainly frustrated by the attitude of, "Oh, well, you didn't purchase insurance." My postmaster assured me on March 24, when I went in to speak to him personally about the matter, that he would look into it and investigate. Yet, he seemed to have no knowledge of the two claims I had opened on this situation! Claim numbers are ** and **.

I heard back from the local P.O. via "Tim" on Monday, March 28, stating that he is still investigating, but that it "doesn't look good." I would honestly like to know what my carrier has to say for himself! The first two packages that were "missing" were gifts worth around $40; the second two were vivarium plants worth a combined $40. A fifth package, not mailed Priority Mail, but in a bubble envelope with four stamps on it, has also gone missing. It was picked up with the packages on March 20. The packages that I requested carrier pick up on specifically have gotten to their destinations, as well as ones that I have insured.

Twice in two months the USPS has failed me. This is getting very bothersome. In January, we had a major snowstorm and my mailbox was basically destroyed. I submitted a hold mail request while we had the problem taken care of. I specified that I would pick the mail up at the post office. On the day that I had specified, I drove to the post office in the next town over (we have one in town, but the mail is not held there; go figure) to pick up my mail. They could not find anything for us. I knew my tax return was there, so I was really nervous. I got back home, and lo and behold, my mail is sitting in the mailbox, drenched, with the hold mail confirmation stating "customer will pick up mail at post office" sitting on top of the drenched pile. I dried out my tax return, filed a complaint, and went along my merry way.

About a month later, we moved to a neighboring town. I filled out the change of address form online for a "Family Move" and paid the dollar to confirm. I also began changing my address with all of the organizations that send me mail, as did my husband. About 2 weeks later, I was unable to access one of my credit cards. They told me that I had changed my address and never responded to the letter they sent (that was sent to my old address to confirm that I was, in fact, not there). The letter was never forwarded. I fixed that issue with the credit card and about two more weeks went by.

We stopped by our old apartment and realized that the mailbox was filled to the brim with a month's worth of mail! There was a check for my husband, the credit card notice, various bills (that I pay online, so I thought nothing of) and a birthday card for my stepdaughter. Again, sitting there with the confirmation letter stating that we had changed our address sitting on top of the pile!!Of course, I called the USPS, and when I finally got through to an actual human being, all she could say was "Sorry, we'll look into it. " If I "forget" to pay my taxes, the government will not accept a "sorry, I'll look into it," but it is okay for a government organization to "forget" about my family's security with an "oopsie! "

I ordered a package that was never delivered to my house. There was a 'fill in' driver the day of the incident who says that she delivered it to my house. But there was someone at the home all day and there was not a package delivered my house. I have called the Pangburn post office to try to figure out what happened and they would just tell me that they would try to find out something and call me back. But they never called me back. I always had to call them.

Then I asked them to give Nikki (the "fill in" driver) my phone number and ask her to call me, but she never called. All they would tell me was that "Sorry, there's nothing we can do". Well, I paid $40 for a package that did not get delivered to my house and no one can tell me anything about what happened to it. It is not fair that I ordered a package, I paid for a package but I did not receive a package. The delivery driver that day either made a mistake or kept the package for herself. I prefer to think that she made a mistake but either way, I don;t think I should have to pay for NOTHING. Thank you.

I have not received my mail since January 3,2011. I have reported the issue to Consumer Affairs and they have not dealt with the issue correctly. One company in question is netflix, they sent me 9 Blue ray disk, and out of the nine I have received none. My mail carrier says she hasn't seen any mail for me from netlfix. Netflix says they shipped it.

As a result of the back quality of the United states postal service failure to deliver my mail, I have been left to not depend or trust the United States Post Office, and I need to know what is my next legal course of action?

I rented a post office box at this location approximately a year ago. I had nothing less than misery since. My family and I did not get mails for a while, so I asked about my delivery to my box. I was informed that it may not come because a change of address takes a little longer. I said, "Okay", and I went on my way. I went about a week later to complain again. Finally, I received a mail days later. I received a check in the mail that my family and I live off of right now, our only source of income at this time.

I sacrificed to get this box because of the service that was offered to have my mail delivered to this box by 10:30 AM according to their posted sign. It is putting unnecessary strain on my family for our mail to get delivered to our box any given time of the night at 7:00 PM and even later that (I found out after checking for a full day). When I complained, the first approximate five times Mr. ** seemed concerned.

I feel that due to my mail not being delivered as promised and Mr. ** even offering a refund on my box instead of fixing the problem, it has caused hundreds of dollars on late fees for my rent. My children have not been able to get things needed on time. Other bills such as utilities have been late because of late fees for the rent. We have been waiting just to grocery shop at times or get medicines for my spouse and myself. I really would like district managers and whomever else who need to possibly do unexpected visits to understand these complaints are warranted. I do not want a refund back, just better service.

I was victim of identity theft four years ago. I have a security freeze with Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. On January 22, 2011, Experian informed me that in the last 30 days changes have been reported in my Credit Report and they advised me to request a copy of my credit report to be checked.

On 02/02/11, I sent an envelope to Annual Credit Report request service via United States Postal Services, Honolulu Downtown Station, with the PS Form 3800, June 2002 (Certified Mail Receipt number **) and I paid $3.24 to assure delivery without problems as the information I attached is very important.

The envelope never arrived. I have been entering a request by computer to check it as this date. I have not received any reply from them. I went to USPS, the same office where I mailed my letter and spoke whith Mrs. Ahina *****, Keahi, Honolulu Downtown Station's Supervisor. She said that her office made the job. The recipient USPS in Atlanta GA 30304 is a small office with a small staff and she could not do anything about it.

On Feb. 8th, 2011, I ordered a cd from someone in Germany. He sent the cd registered mail out on Feb.9th. Once the item got to the US, it was sent to Worth, Illinois on Feb.24th. Then, it was sent to Bedford Park, Illinois that same day, where it currently sits according to their customer service department. I've spoken to two different supervisors and both of them insist it is the responsibility of the German Post office. I asked how an error like this could happen as Joliet bears no resemblance to Worth or Bedford Park. They don't know. They will do nothing to help me stating that the sender must start an inquiry for the item. He is out of town and cannot do anything in the near future. So now my item is in limbo. No one within the USPS will even call Bedford Park Post Office to fix the problem. It is the "pass the buck" syndrome. No one is responsible for sending my item to two completely different addresses other than the one that is on the parcel.

After carefully reviewing your letter to us dated February 2, 2011, it appears that you, as the representative for United States Postal Service, is unconcerned about our mail being tampered with, stolen and sent back to the sender, as if we were not residents here, violating our constitutional and civil rights. As stated earlier, we received some of our mail, but the sensitive mails sent to us, including the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development and Florida Commission on Human Relations through the United States Postal Service, was tampered and interfered with for several months resulting in countless pieces of mail being returned--not just two or three pieces.

These actions resulted in 120-day delay of our housing complaint being processed timely. It is unfortunate that the postal carrier only began delivery certified mail directly to our door after the 120 days had passed, and after we notified our local post office of our concerns. (The postal carrier did not give us any certified deliveries to our door until after this period).

Based on these inconsistencies, we have forwarded our complaint, along with related document, along with your letter to the Department of Justice for review and for formal investigation. We are not second class citizens, but citizens of the United States of America. Withholding pertinent evidence, as in this case, is an obstruction of justice, a crime not only against us, but against other parties in similar situations, whose concerns are being left unheard. We will continue to press forward in our efforts to making sure that this type of unethical behavior is addressed. We again reiterate our complaint against U.S. Postmaster General Jacksonville Investigation Division as follows:

This is in response to the recent investigations with regards to our complaint filed with the Jacksonville, Florida Postmaster General Fraud Division on 12/5/10 regarding mail fraud, mail tampering (Mail Fraud 940 18 U.S.C. Section 1341 conspiracy) of our personal, business and certified mails. The investigation conducted by Jacksonville, Florida Post Master General Office was too swift, inadequate, unfair and inconsistent. This should have not have been an open and shut case taken into account the seriousness of the carrier tampering and deliberately withholding and redirecting to the sender. Common sense would tell anyone that a complaint of this serious nature conducted by the Florida Post Master General Office's investigator should have included us, the complainants.

Therefore, the investigation appears to be flawed, conflicting, inconsistent, and based on untruthfulness, fraud and obstruction of justice, this whole investigation sounds suspicious. The carrier trying to cover up his illegal actions involves an alleged criminal conspiracy in concert with employees of Advenir At Stonelake, LLC. In line with this, we have requested the services of the Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) to investigate these incidents thoroughly and professionally. This complaint is based on mail fraud and mail tampering, conspiracy, and withholding federal mail (obstruction of justice) in specifically with the Fair Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Florida Commission On Human Relation (FCHR) Certified Mailings.

If the Jacksonville, Florida Postmaster General Fraud Division would have included us, the complainants, in their investigation, they would have taken into account the following:

1. The complainants filed a fair housing complaint with the Housing & Urban Development Agency (HUD) and the Florida Commission On Human Relations (FCHR), against the property managers, Advenir at Stonelake, LLC for housing violations. Therefore, it is a conspiracy and obstruction of justice to have included any statements from these individuals in any or part of the postal investigation.

2. Unfortunately, we have not received any of the mail correspondence mailed to us through the United States Postal Service, over a five-month period from the Housing & Urban Development Agency with regards to our complaint dated July 23, 2010 prompting mail-tampering, mail fraud, and conspiracy concerns of our mail by the postal carrier. Sometimes, our mailbox was completely empty after checking it (causing a 150-day delay). There was no business or personal mail for us. Other times, we received mail that was postmarked too many days before we received it, indicating that our mail was being mysteriously held.

3. It is true that the mail courier deliberately withheld and did not deliver all of our regular mail and certified mail received from the Fair Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Florida Commission On Human Relation (FCHR) with the exception of the most recent certified mail pieces. The most recent certified mails were delivered after we complained to HUD investigators as to why they had not responded to our complaint and they did an investigative inquiry that verified our current address, ** at Advenir Stonelake Apartments statements, with regards to the certified pieces of mails not delivered. We reiterate that our mailbox is checked once or twice weekly by both of us (Mr. & Mrs. Alphonso **). This would explain why many times our mailbox was empty when the postman would hold our mail pieces. Both husband and wife witnessed these incidents.

4. In another suspicious incident, we recently subscribed to Ocala's Banner Newspaper, free trial newspaper subscription, and this would explain why it was never delivered as it shows proof that we are current residents here, contrary to the statement that we had moved. We checked our mail every other day for several weeks and never received the subscription. We contacted the newspaper company for confirmation of the delivery and were told to watch out for the newspaper deliveries in the mail, which we never received to date.

5. We were notified by HUD and FCHR investigators that we would be receiving documents from them, which were on their way. It wasn't until November 23, 2010 that we received two certified letters (one from HUD and the other from FCHR). Strangely, on the front of each envelope is noted (second notice checked (this statement is false) to be sent back 12-3-10), although we never received notice for the first delivery attempt. After receiving the only notice in our mailbox, we contacted the postmaster and both certified letters, postmarked 11/17/10, were delivered this time to our upstairs apartment, for the first time ever, by this carrier, where we signed the delivery receipt.

6. The substitute postal carrier (female) for our route can verify our conversations with her. She is about 5'5," 130 lbs. with short blonde hair and says that she is a server at night. She stated that she has been with the United Post Office for about six years. She substitutes once a week for the current carrier for Advenir Stonelake Apartment complex. This would verify and show that she has spoken with us and that we do monitor our mail pieces.

7. On November 6, 2010, we signed for a certified mail delivered by an African American (female) for the United States Postal Service; proof that we are available to signoff on certified mailings.

8. This complaint was filed by two parties: Mr. Alphonso ** and Constance **. We notice that the investigator for the Jacksonville division Postmaster addressed their response only to Mr. **, instead of Mr. & Mrs. **, married for 35 years. This was a dual complaint filed by both parties. Furthermore, we were never asked to sign notarized statement that we never received any certified notices left and posted on our door--which is deemed suspicious.

9. If this investigation included the management of Advenir at Stonelake, including the property manager, Lena **, it would be unethical, bias and a conflict of interest, and not to mention, obstruction of justice, since we have a pending HUD and FCHR complaint against Advenir at Stonelake, LLC, since July 2010, FCHR Case No. ** and HUD Case No. **.

10. We found the recent certified notice in our mailbox and not posted on our door as the carrier falsely implied.

11. The postal carrier should have known that the utility invoice bills and other mails were being picked up regularly by us, that we are the current residents, Mr. & Mrs. Alphonso and Constance **; therefore, should have known that our apartment was not vacant.

12. We check our mail regularly, at least once or twice a week. We do not leave any mail in our box more than 15 days, and we are in compliance with the United States Postal Service guidelines.

13. We have been residents since January 2010, and currently. We have not been contacted by the regular carrier with the exception to the most recent certified mail pieces from HUD and FCHR, that we requested to be delivered. This was the only time that we have met the post carrier for Advenir Stonelake Apartments complex. Also, the U.S. Postmaster General Jacksonville Investigation Division statements, including this statement investigation revealed some of our mail, including one or more was returned to the sender after being held the required 15 days per Postal regulations at the Post Office, confirms that our mail has been sent back.

Finally, We are semi-retired and monitor our business daily from home, which means that we are at home 99% of the time. We have never received any certified mail notices on our door here at Advenir Stonelake Apartment **. We monitor all of our mails closely, which includes UPS, FedEx and United States Postal mail.

We reiterate that we learned that the post carrier has been returning these mailings to the sender and not leaving us certified mailing notices, not even as a knock on the door from the postal carrier. FCHR and HUD officials did an investigative inquiry of verification that we, Alphonso and Constance ** have been and are current residents here at Advenir Stonelake Apartments **. The HUD/FCHR officials verified that the mail carrier had been returning these certified mailings to them and making false statements that we were no longer residents here at **.

We deemed these activities as suspicious. We have been residents here at ** since January 2010, to current and regularly retrieve our apartment mailings, once or twice a week. It's ironic that we have been getting our monthly utility invoices with our name on them and other related mailings associated with our apartment **. It wasn't until November 23, 2010, that we finally received a mailing from HUD and FCHR (120 days) after our initial pending complaint.

Finally, we reiterate that we have been residents here at ** since January 2010, to current. Thank you for investigating these serious crimes of mail fraud and tampering. Both the HUD and FCHR complaints are serious and sometimes have placed our family in danger and even life threatening circumstances. Interfering with due process, the service of process, and obstructing justice are serious crimes. This was obviously done to benefit Advenir at Stonelake managers.

Therefore, we are requesting all of the related documents filed with your office including statements from all parties, pertaining to your investigation, be forwarded to us immediately under the Freedom of Information Act. Please respond within five business days with the requested documents.

I filed 2 complaints with the post office. My mail is constantly delivered to my neighbors or not at all. Mail that is given to my neighbors are sometimes time sensitive and have resulted in my responding late. Packages have never arrived. Repeatedly, I have requested that a notice be left and my packages taken to the post office, but I find them on my doorstep, those that make it to me, at least. I am incredibly frustrated. I have not received so much as a call back. When I phoned the main Us Postal line, a representative read a response letter she said was being mailed to me. It never arrived, so I am left to believe my complaints were dismissed. I would like to file a federal complaint.

Yesterday, February 7, I was expecting two parcels: one at my home and one at my office. An attempt had been made on Friday, February 4, to deliver the office parcel. On the back of the "UPS InfoNotice" was a notation that to authorize UPS to leave a parcel in my absence, I had to sign my name authorizing them to leave it. I did that and left the paper in plain view on an outside door. When I returned, I found another InfoNotice. After waiting for 15 minutes to talk to a real person, I found that these authorizations are not honoring them because of the fear of theft.

If these authorizations mean nothing, then don't print them! If I thought it would do any good, I would turn the whole mess over to a lawyer who could file suit on a class-action basis. As things stand, I intend to ask for USPS delivery each time I order a parcel. UPS does not know the meaning of the word "logistics."

I am not receiving my mail at all or if I do it is not in a timely manner. I had a regular letter (money order) sent to me from Toledo Ohio in August and I still have not received it. Had another from Toledo and still have not received it. This town is 75 miles away. There have been packages that were sent out 10 days ago or longer and I still have not received them. I believe it is the Toledo Ohio post office that is messing up everyone's mail. I have books and assignments from my school that are not getting here. I would appreciate this getting looked into. Thank you.

I am a US Veteran. I recently had surgery to have my right foot, amputated due to an old Army injury. I had the surgery at the VA hospital in SLC. They have been sending me narcotics for the pain and on several occasions, the medications have never shown up. The tracking # shows they were mailed on the 29th of Oct. and never left the SLC Post Office.

They were to come certified mail. I wouldn't complain if this hasn't happened before. The pain is excruciating at times and hard to deal with without medication. If I were to go to my primary care here in town, they look at me like I'm an addict. I think we need to start an investigation, so maybe this won't happen to anyone else.

I have not received a mail delivery in over two days. I called the office above and was told that carriers were running late. However, yet again today, no mail delivery. I am also aware that none of my neighbors received their mail either. I live in Shadowbrook Apartments and none have had mail delivery in two days. This office also does not answer the phone during business hours. Upon my 4th call, the phone was answered after 45 rings. I have very important documents that I would have received yesterday.

My magazines are missing and when I do receive them, they have been read. I reported one edition missing and the next day it was in my mailbox. I have reported to the postal inspector as I have had this problem in the past with her. If anyone else has had a problem with not receiving their mail, please report it also.

I have bought four items from four different sellers and none of them have been delivered to me. The post office has made no effort to find them. All paid for--this is a loss of my earnings for purchases that the post office has either lost, stolen or destroyed.

Our mail is not being delivered to our address. Our mail carrier will deliver our mail to our neighbors and even on Smith Road. I get my neighbor's mail at least once a week. We have complained to the Gadsden branch for months now. She has returned our mail stamping no such address on several occasion in which some have been certified mail to appear in court and she has returned our state of Alabama Checks for the past two months and has put no such address. But the icing on the cake was this past Friday, I opened my mail box and our envelope from Wachovia Bank which had confidential information had been opened. I believe that is a federal offense.

On July 16th, I had to go online to change address for my mail service to a new address. The mail was to start being delivered on July 20th, which I stated on forms made and would take up to ten days, so I waited before going to Post Office in Longs sc 29568. They told me that it was the Post Office in Conway SC 29526 that was the problem with the mail. So, I called the Conway SC Post Office. I was told that this route does not have a regular carrier that it is someone different all the time. I knew this after living at the same address for over five years. I called the 800 number that was supplied from the form I received for confirmation on address change.

After speaking with someone at the 800 number, I did start to receive mail piece by piece, and if I didn't receive certain types of mail, I would go to the old address (pay stubs) sure enough, there they would be along with my paid subscription of magazines at the old address. I would start receiving mail again come time again for pay stubs go to the old address and same thing, there they were. I came from the Post Office today, August 27th 2010, in Conway, SC 29526 and asked to speak with the head postmaster. I was told by the clerk that he was on vacation, so the clerk suggested a supervisor and I said okay, I'll try. She proceeded to find out what the problem was which was also a waste of time. She said that she knew the problem and it was that the postal carrier for that area is on vacation which I knew was a crock. Someone else came to the window because the supervisor was having lunch. I told her the problem, then she left and came back stating that she could not find the address change in the computer but she would fix the problem.

So after waiting, a man came to the window with a piece of paper acting like he did not want to wait on me. He identify himself and did not have a name tag on; I took that he was the supervisor on duty at the time. He practically closed the door on my face and said that he would be right back. He came back to the window and brought a piece of paper asking if I were Stacie ** when my paper work stated ** and told the other clerk it was mail transfer for the whole ** Family. He proceeded to tell me that the address I gave him was a postal box (like a rental from the PO) I told him no, it was not a postal box.

My old address was and had been for ten years or more ** and he told me no, it wasn't. He again acted like I was a problem that he had to wait on me. He wouldn't listen to the problem and was in such a rush rubbing his eyes and face like get out of my face and was kind of hurry.

This has been a long going problem and I want the matter resolved. Since I didn't get anywhere with the postal service office on site or by phone to the 800 number, their office gave me for complaints and they put me off on this office. I would appreciate a response to this matter. They wouldn't want their mail out there just floating around somewhere. I work third shift and should have been getting my rest but I had to drive across town to try and get my mail transfer resolved.

My outgoing mail is not getting picked up. I have reported it four times to the USPS customer service number and was given a case number CA102670182. Each time I get a call from the delivery supervisor from the local post office. Every time I get the same excuse. She tells me, "I'm sorry Mr. ** we are having some new people from other routes helping us out and they are not familiar with your route." Sadly though the issue never gets corrected.

I've been into complaining about the amount of lost or returned mail 3 times to the post office now since may when I moved into my business address. Mail started not showing up almost right away with the confirmed address and reliable senders. The first confirmation was on June 24 when I received a piece of mail that was sent June 10t! Then in June, I complained with reports of additional mail not showing up. In July I complained again with a priority mail sent from Discovery Bay to San Jose (again confirmed address sent many times) lost and still not shown up (today is August 25) and another priority mail returned to Manteca with the correct address!

Now, we have August where I have confirmed three people send money orders all to the correct address and not received. Last month, the last priority mail cost me over $37 to replace the check!! This month, I have three people who have to file a claim and wait 21 days before they can issue new money order and that's providing there is no problems. Let alone my owner have to wait another 21 days for their rent! This is costing me and my business in a more than horrible economy! What in the blazes is going on?

On July 24, 2010, I received a notification in the mail from the United States Postal Service informing me that a computerized change of address had been submitted for a resident whom did not reside at, never has reside at, nor receives mail at my address. Consequently, I have stopped receiving my mail ever since. And it's now been a month since I've received any mail at all, including bills, bank/charge statements, etc. I've contacted the local post office several times. I was told that someone would be contacting me. However, it's been over a week and I still haven't received a call. I've also visited my local post office and spoke with the delivery supervisor who also promised to look into the matter and contact me. But that hasn't happened either. Finally, I've contacted the 1-800-ASK-USPS service number several times; again, no results. I'm still waiting on someone to contact me as they promised.

I was expected a package on 8/19/2010. However, my husband and I watched the mail carrier pass by. Later, when I got online to track my package, there was a message stating: There was delivery attempt at 12.36p.m., but no answer and notice was left. That is a complete lie. Not only she never approached to knock on door or ring doorbell, there was no notice left either. I had to go to post office and pick up package today, 8/20/2010, at which time the staff there seemed to be "annoyed" that I was requesting my package. First, the employee left the window, came back and insisted it wasn't there. Next a manager was called to the window. He too left, came back and said nothing was there for my address. After much insistence from me, finally the manager left and came back again, only this time he had my package.

Another thing. I called yesterday and was told my package was definitely at this office, and that I should call first, before going there. Well tried several times. All I kept getting was, "leave a message", immediately followed by: "sorry, mail box is full". What in the world kind of place of business, a government operated one at that, has the mail box full so that customers cannot even leave a message? And why is it no one was available anyway? Surely when I arrived there, ONE man was at the window, while us customers in line could hear a lot oh hee-hee, and ha-ha coming from the back. In conclusion, I'm not going to just let this go. I filed a complaint: Complaint #CA102818108, and will be following up on it too. IF I don't get any results soon, I'll continue on until I do. So no. I'm not one of those who's going to simply just go away. Something should be done about the "beyond lousy" service.

On 8-19-10, I received a call from my insurance carrier telling me my homeowners, auto and umbrella policies had been canceled do to non payment. They stated that the last 2 invoices had been returned as undeliverable as addressed. It's damn strange that the invoices were addressed to PO Box 865 which I pay $116 a year to have some of my mail not delivered. What seems to be the problem? I will be in to see you on the first of the week to discuss the late fees on my policies as well as a letter of apology to my insurance carrier because of your employees error. I have a rural box as well so if it were not such a hassle to change my addresses on my accounts and have or maybe not have my mail delivered I would do so.

It all began 4 years ago when I moved to what's called a somewhat rural area of North Carolina. There are literally thousands of homes on the street where I live but it's not located within "city limits". Our postal delivery person is a subcontractor who drives her own vehicle and basically delivers the mail when she feels like it. I have received a mailbox full of other people's mail on numerous occasions. A couple of times I recognized the address as being close to me. Since all I received that day was their mail, I went to give it to them and see if possibly they received a mailbox full of my mail. No such luck!

I have days when I don't receive anything and other days that I receive dated material that the return date has already passed. If the USPS can't get the job done they should be fined heavily and be forced legally to assume some responsibility for their incompetence. The first step would be for the federal government to not allow (freeze) any and all increases in postal fees that they request until which time they can prove that they can competently accomplish the job we are paying for now.

The Post Master sets arbitrary rules. They will not deliver to our street. Our street is a dead-end street. We were offered free PO Box. We needed street address for deliveries and the only option was to get permission from neighbors 50 ft away to put mailbox on their frontage. They receive mail as they are on the main road through village. I am the legal owner of 2 family house. We live in 1 apartment and rent the other. My tenant was denied free PO box. The Post Master said they are tenant, not owner and therefore not eligible.

My tenant is disgruntled. The POst master insisted that this is nationwide USPS guideline, and she could not change. She seems to be setting her own rules in her little empire. She believes she is unaccountable to either the public (she is a public servant), or just reasonable common sense. I want delivery to my house, regardless of living on a dead end street (incidentally there is plenty of room to turn around), and I want my tenant to receive the same free PO box that other residents have. As I see it, either they deliver (preferable), or they offer free PO box for all, regardless of ownership status.

I purchased a set of exercise DVD's and nutritional guides from a friend. I received the package damaged and repackaged, DVD's not inside. I was stamped stating it was "Media Mail" and was subject to inspection. I guess the person inspecting realized the DVD's run $150 retail value and decided to steal them. I'm out $90 and nobody at the Post Office will take responsibility.

I put in a temporary change of address 7/26/10. Today is 8/11/10 and I am still not receiving mty mail. Why is Port St. Lucie PO holding up my mail? It should not take this long. The last time I put in a change of address it took approximately 3 days.

I keep getting my neighbor's mail and I know I am missing important mail. Our carrier is delivering mail to the wrong address. This is ongoing and I am angry that we can not depend on them to make accurate deliveries clearly marked. I've gotten the wrong mail with a different address for 5 times now.

I'm having a very serious issue with mail delivery to my address. I've spoken to the mail carrier, her supervisor and even a Rep from Congressman Bobby **'s office! But I still have to "chase down" the carrier to retrieve my mail!

Here's an example: Sat, July 21, I saw the carrier pass by my house. I ran down to my gate to ask if there was mail for my address, she turned and replied, "YUP"! The mail carrier had mail for my address but walk right pass my house as if it wasn't even there! It was not dark outside. About 1:00pm, there was no snow/ice on my walkway, no pets and the gate was wide open but she walked right by my property, not even slowing down! I do not know why this carrier insist on not delivering my mail to my house and would like to have this problem rectified once and for all. I've missed important letters, bills, checks, etc., due to this problem. She's even left my mail wrapped in a rubber band in the spokes of my gate, so I come home to my mail spewed out all over the sidewalk by the neighborhood kids! I do have a mailbox affixed to my home but the carrier refuses to walk to the house to put the mail inside the box! Why?

This has been happening for a while now. I've lived here for 3 years and have had more problems with mail delivery at this address than I ever had over the 12 years I resided at my former address in Hyde Park. Any assistance with this matter would greatly be appreciated. I just want to receive my mail. Isn't that some sort of law? Thank you.

Mail was sent on 5/11/10 to VyStar Credit Union, Jacksonville. The check inside was not received. The mail sent on 6/30/10 to Morris Publishing with a check inside was not received. The paper sent to me on 7/12/10 by Kovel antiques was not received by me. The mail with the checks in them were hand-delivered by me to the inside of the post office and they never made it to their destination. The checks have never been cashed.

I live out in the county. One day several weeks ago, someone ran their car into my mailbox. We rent this property here and as soon as we noticed the mailbox on the ground, we picked it up and set it back the best we could. It was and is still usable. The mail carrier left a note saying that my mail was being held because the mail carrier was not able to open the mailbox up. I went to the Snelling Office and spoke with Maribell. My previous encounters with her had not been the greatest. She is an exceptionally rude person, to everyone! I asked Maribell what the letter on my mailbox meant? She told me that I had a few days to fix the mailbox or she would send all my mail back to the senders. I found this hard to understand when my box had been fixed. I asked her where my mail was presently. I didn't have mail for about a week. Maribell had taken it upon herself without any notice to me to hold my mail there at the Post Office.

My box had fixed and she was holding-back my mail without my knowledge. I then told her that I am disabled and when I live in other towns by Doctor's note, the mail-carrier brought my mail directly to me, as I am unable to walk most of the time. I told Maribell that I had a doctor's note that states that my walking is limited and if the P.O. could work in helping me retrieve my mail to my door. Maribell told me that she would never do such thing even with a doctor's note. Can she ignore my Doctor's note? I have called the P.O. 800 numbers and they are just as rude, if not ruder than her. So my question is this, what does a disabled person do with a doctor's note not being able to walk and the Post Office will not accept these doctor's note?

The item tracking # is **. The item was recorded as only one attempted delivery made in the USPS tracking system. Why was no notice left behind? Why did USPS fail to make a second delivery attempt and leave a notice to that effect? Why does the sender tracking system in China have it as delivered?

I want to report continued negligence by my particular branch of the Post Office. Over the last 2 years, we have not received our mail on a consistent basis at all. Meaning, we often get no mail at all (and then an abundance the next day), mail delivery after 5 pm (up to 2 nights a week), incorrect mail delivered to our address (and not receive ours at all), and when a package was delivered by our mail carrier, he/she left it on our stairs in plain sight of street traffic, rather than taking it up the full flight of stairs and leaving it at our door.

I have called 4 times to plead with Mr. ** at our Richmond mail facility, but get nowhere. I find the office to be less then concerned with accurate and safe delivery of mail and packages. I had called the office to again report post-5 pm delivery and was told that my concern was "incidental" to their bigger issue of having someone on leave of absence. I am offended, and frankly, disgusted with the lack of service and concern.

I live in a very small cul de sac with very limited parking. Often my daughter or a day worker will park their car in front of the mail box. Fifty percent of the time, the mail carrier will just skip my mail box if a car is parked in front of the mail box. The carrier would have to walk a whole five yards to complete their task. Like I said, half the time it is a work truck or one of the neighbors. Why am I being penalized? I have seen the mail carriers and I think it might do them some good to get off their rears from time to time. Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow but lord forbid someone parks a Honda Civic in front of your mailbox.

Post office is refusing to deliver mail to house because they are telling me that I need a curbside mailbox. I have a mailbox that is built into the house and they delivered mail to house mail box the first week we moved in and have since stopped. I told them that I wanted mail delivered to house mailbox and that I do not want to put a curbside box in as I purchased the home with the mailbox on house. They have delivered mail to this house for over 50 years using the box built into the house. I have several neighbors that are still getting mail delivered to there house mailbox and they are new residents as well. I know they cannot hold my mail unless I don't have an established mailbox, which again I do have a box which is built into the home.

We just moved here about two months ago and they are telling me that all new residents need a box out in the street. They can only ask me to put the box on the street and if I ask for mail to continue to be deliver to the house they are suppose to honor this. I have several friends that work in the post office and all of them are telling me they can't hold my mail like there doing, unless I don't have a mailbox.

The supervisors at the Rialto Post Office are just giving me different excuses and bullying me into putting it on the street. My wife and I purchased the home knowing that we had a mailbox built into the house. The fact that they are holding my mail because I don't have a curbside box and that there are several of my neighbors (I have counted at least 12) that have there mail delivered to house is not right. All but two of my neighbors are not original owners and have moved in within the last few years.

We have not been receiving our mail, i.e., utility bills. Nothing here has changed. It was the same mailbox, location, name, etc.

The Post Office inexplicably stopped delivering my mail for 5-6 days causing the loss of, at a minimum, two packages, a credit card bill, and a check from my sister. I called the USPS customer service line. In addition to getting my delivery restored, I wanted to know two things: (1) why was my mail cut off (specifically, did someone file a change-of-address form in my name); and (2) what happened to my missing mail, i.e. was it returned to sender, forwarded someplace else, or just tossed in a bin and forgotten?

I first called on Thursday morning, June 17, and was told that an inspector would get back to me within two business days. By late Monday, 6/21, I still had not heard anything, so I called again, reiterated my concerns, and once more was told to expect a call within two days. By late Thursday, 6/24, no such call had come, so I called again and learned that my case had been closed. I asked for it to be reopened. The next day, 6/25, a representative called, but I wasn't home and had to wait until Monday 6/28 to call her back. She did not have any answers for me, but asked me to explain again what my complaint was. She promised to forward my info to an investigator and told me to await a reply.

Of course, none ever came. As of today, 7/7, I still have no answers. I am receiving current mail again, but still don't have the mail that was withheld. I know for a fact that none of it has been returned to the sender. Where is it? At this point, I will probably never find out. Loss of time at work, loss of a $25 personal check, loss of two packages worth approximately $150 total.

USPS will not deliver my mail, and my mail was delivered to this house for years. But all of a sudden, it cannot be delivered by one of the postmen who could not deliver to my daughter's home before. And now that she lives with me, he also cannot deliver. All the other postmen deliver but him. He says there are too many cars in the driveway. But he still does not deliver when there is only one car in the driveway. I pay my taxes and that is what pays him and if I have to get an attorney to get me my legal rights, then that is what I will do.

I've lived at my address for almost 2 years, and suddenly my mail delivery stopped 2 weeks ago. I live in a small apartment complex that has lock-boxes for each apartment (4 of them total). Everyone else is receiving mail at this address except me. When I spoke directly with a supervisor at the post office, he told me that they did not have any of my mail, and that he "didn't know why" I wasn't receiving my mail. I had my mother specifically send me something, and it was returned to her "return to sender-undeliverable".

This is really inexcusable. I am also missing an item that I was to receive from eBay last week. What can be done about this? I am missing a letter from my lawyer regarding a legal case I am involved in (I was hit by a car). I am missing car insurance information, letters from my mother, and medical benefits cards that I was to receive through my employer. I doubt any of these items will be re-sent. I finally have medical insurance though my employer but don't have my ID card because the mailman won't give it to me? What is that?

I put in a change of address for my business on 05/31/10. I didn't receive any mail for a 1 week period. This is not normal as I have been self employed for 10 years and would have gotten mail in that period, in fact every day. I went to the Rough and Ready Post office and spoke to Debbie(works at the Penn Valley Post office just filling in for Sue). She told me I'm not getting any mail because I should have used the Rough and Ready Address, not the Penn Valley Address. She had me fill out another change of address card on 06/03/10. She called down to the Penn Valley Post office and they said they didn't have any of my mail. She called the Post of from where I moved from, and they said they didn't have any mail for me either.

Another week and a half went by without mail so I went to the Rough and Ready Post Office and talked to Sue, who told me I would need to go to the Grass Valley Post Office to find out what is going on. I went there and talked to Sarah, who printed out a "Detail COA Information" sheet that shows my changes to my address, by the one in the system is still Penn Valley, and so she told me I had to go to the Penn Valley Post Office. So I went there and was told I would have to fill out another change of Address (4th one) and wait another 7 to 10 days for it to take effect. While I was there, I was told by the mail sorter that she had been rejecting my mail and returning to sender because there was no such address in Penn Valley. I asked to speak to the Post Master, and was told she would be in today. I called her and explained everything above, and she told me that there is nothing she can do for me, and when I asked if she could at least call to the place that is making the changes on the change of address to please get it right this time, she told me "I have no idea where to call, and I can't access my computer because they haven't given me the codes yet". I can't seem to get anywhere, so I am asking for your help. thank you very much for your time.

On June 22, 2010 I called the US Postal Service in Martin City, MO. to complain about my carrier not getting my mail delivered and also about receiving other person's mail in my mailslot. He had a who-cares attitude about the complaint. It remind's me of the problem with this Country.

Mail not being delivered. Mail box is not blocked but the mailman says he can not deliver because of a neighbors motor cycle that is parked to close he can not get in with possibly scratching the motorcycle. This is not my vehicle that is blocking. Are there any sted fast rules on the amount of feet need to kept clear on both sides of the mailbox. And if so why is this not painted a red zone. It is not illegal for the neighbor to park there.

Today, I spoke to Lisa, Delivery Supervisor, USPS, and notified her that it was quite unusual that no mail was delivered to my home on Monday, June 14. We came to find out that the mail was apparently misdelivered since a neighbor dropped off 4 pieces of mail that they had received in error. Lisa's reply to this matter was "It may not have been misdelivered by your mailman. School is out now and there has been a problem in your neighborhood with kids taking mail out of mailboxes." My reply to her was "First of all, we are not aware of a problem with children in our neighborhood tampering with mailboxes and secondly, school is not out until yet." I contacted our HOA and they said that they are not aware of a problem in the Milestone community with mail being tampered with and it's highly unlikely that this was the reason I had not received mail on 6/14/10.

Misdelivered and missing mail has been an ongoing problem for many years and has gotten worse in the last year. The supervisors that I have spoken to have been rude, unconcerned, and annoyed when I have called to report a legitimate problem/concern. I contacted Consumer Affairs in February, 2010 because we had five (5) important bills that we never received that were due the end of the month. The Germantown USPS contacted me and I was told that all the mail in their station had been delivered and they would not investigate my concern about missing mail. One month later (the end of March), the 5 missing bills were delivered. Lost and misdelivered mail is unacceptable and a very big concern because of identity theft. I would appreciate a resolution to this problem. Thank you.

I put my mail out in my mailbox and my carrier never came to pick it up. This is the third time this happened. This is really up setting.

For over 3 years, I keep receiving someone else's mail. It's always the same person whose mail box is next to mine. I can understand that people aren't perfect and that occasionally mistakes are made. But this has existed and going on the 4th year now. I have contacted the post master at least 8 times and personally talked to her with her promising to "look into the matter" and determine which mail carrier is doing this. Meanwhile, I'm wondering if other people are receiving my mail. I told her that was a concern and she didn't seem to share my concern at all.

While it's inconvenient to have to do the mail carrier's job and put the mail in the right box, it has now escalated to costing me money and affecting my credit. I did not receive a credit card statement for 2 months. Since it is this company's policy not to send a bill when no money is due, I assumed no money was due. Wrong! I verified with the credit card company that the bills were sent. I never received them. This has cost me over $70 in late fees and interest payments, and has affected my credit score just when I was in a transaction with a loan company to refinance my mortgage.

And the last straw was yesterday, April 22, 2010, when once again I received mail that wasn't mine! I called the post office to talk to the post master and learned she was on vacation. Some other person, acting as the post master, treated me rudely and I have no hope of this being resolved. So, I wrote a note on the person's mail I received telling them that I've been getting their mail for 3 years, and put it back into his box. Now I've involved him as well. I am so sick of this miserable post office and their escalating incompetence.

They keep charging more and more and giving less and less service. If there was another way of receiving my mail, I would leap at the chance. This government agency is one of the worst ever! I hate them! Why can't they be fired? Especially the lame Post Master in Fallbrook, and my stupid lame mail carrier who can't read! Don't they take a test to determine some sort of minimal competency before letting these idiots lose to handle important documents? Apparently not! And for all this incompetence, they get paid for health insurance and a pension for life? Jeez, I'm thinking maybe I should become a mail carrier!

A registered letter was dispatched from India on 29th March, 2010. On the envelope, my address was correct, but my zip code 77042 was not mentioned. The Label/ Receipt # is EI074878881IN. I traced through USPS web site and came to know that "the item was processed through and left North Houston,TX 77315 facility on April 10,2 010. The item is in transit to the destination."

My complaint is why the registered mail is still not delivered to me, even after 10 days of processing in North Houston, TX 77315 facility and leaving on April 10, 2010? Secondly, in case the reason is non availability of my zip code number on the envelop, then, I am giving it as TX-77042. Details of my address as given on the envelope will remain same. Registered mail is not yet received since 29th March, 2010. Thanking in advance.

I received a delivery notice about a package at the local post office. I called to have the package redelivered to me on Monday, April 19. I was home the entire day waiting for my package. I made several trips to my mailbox to check my mail. At 4pm, there was still no mail in my box. I then called the 800 number on the slip to check my redelivery. I was told I had to wait because post office delivers up to 5pm. When I did not see my delivery after 5pm, I called again. I was then given the local phone number to speak with them since the customer service rep had no solution as to why I did not get my package. I called the cathedral station and spoke with Ms. Brady.

After being put on hold for quite a while, she came back online and told me she will schedule it for tomorrow. My package had not left the building and her attitude was as if I was taking time away perhaps from her leaving for the day. I advised I needed my package since I spent the entire day waiting for it. She told me that everyone had left for the day and no one was there to redeliver the package. It seems strange since this post office's closing time was 7pm and it was not even 6pm. I was quite upset since time and time again I have experienced similar problems with this post office.

I was once told my package was not there, only to receive a phone call telling me that they found it. I have had my magazine stolen from this location as well and complained, but had no resolution to my problem. It seems to me that post office employees don't give a *** about taxpayer's mail/packages. I have since tried to avoid using the post office by sending and receiving packages by FedEx and UPS. I was unaware this package was being sent by the post office, I certainly would have paid extra to use UPS.

I tried all means to avoid this post office because of the lack of sensitivity of the postal employees. Ms. Brady advised me that I should have been home to collect my package the first time it was delivered and if I am not home when it is redelivered, it is my problem. I am outraged by this remark. I have complained prior but it is quite obvious the problem still exists. Thank goodness for the internet and the means of handling our business where we can avoid the post office and not have to stand in line to buy stamps, etc. I am forwarding this complaint to you and maybe it might reach the proper person to address this situation.

I mail many packages everyday, from 10 to 20 packages. The postmaster gave us permission to move our rural mailbox to the house about a year ago. I have no problem with our regular carrier. When we have a sub, once or twice a week, we do not get any mail delivered or no packages picked up. At times, they will put the mail in someone else's box. I have called the postmaster many times and she informed me all subs would be informed about where to deliver the mail. It seems like the postmaster is not very caring about the mail being delivered properly. Please advice. My mail does not get delivered nor my packages picked up, causing everything to be late with delivery.

This is the 2nd month in the past 6 months that I have not received bills. This has created a nightmare with the credit card companies who think I am lying. Why after having the credit cards for so long, why all of sudden not make a payment? I have incurred late fees and credit reporting issues. Why do we have to pay more for the USPS to deliver mail and they can't do their job worth a ****? I tried to talk to the local post office that delivers the mail and they were extremely rude and unhelpful.

I had my grandfather's ring sent to me and the tracking number said it was delivered and I never received it. I tried to find out what where and when and they blew me off, sorry can't help you. But I think it went to wrong address. I have complained but to no avail. It would seem they are beyond reproach. Please help me.

For the last six years I have been having my mail forwarded to my winter address in Florida. In the past this has not been a problem. I filled out the required forms in the same manner as always but my mail never got forwarded. I called the office repeatedly but could never get the mail to be forwarded to my address. At this time it is still not resolved. I am at a loss of how to proceed. My children have tried to assist in this matter but have had no luck either. I am a senior citizen who lives on my own. I am not receiving any of my checks or bills and I have fallen behind on paying my bills because of this. I have also received late payment fees, something that I have never had before in my life.

Will someone please help me! I received this email from the Algonquin post office and they claim my mailbox is broken, but it is not and never has been in the 10 years I have lived here. There's nothing wrong with the mailbox. I just want the post office to allow me my American right to have my mail delivered. I am forwarding all of the correspondence linked to this entire affair to the Illinois Governor's Office and the Attorney General, Lisa Madigan's Office.

I filed a change of address form with the USPS due to the county changing my street address. I am now finding out that much of my mail is being returned to senders as invalid address. I also received mail sent to my previous address and affixed with a USPS yellow label with a different address than the one I gave them. This is costing me a lot of lost time and expense in trying to straighten this out. I even have official documents and checks being returned to sender as undeliverable.

I had stopped receiving my mail without receiving any notice from the Post Office so I went to the office to get my mail. The desk clerk referred me to a man she said was her supervisor and man without a name tag or uniform. The man refused to answer my questions and told me my mail was being returned to the sender and there was nothing he could do. I asked what could be done to fix the problem and he couldn't answer me and just kept saying the same rehearsed line that did not apply to the situation.

I asked for his supervisor he said that he was the supervisor. I asked for the post master and he slammed the door in my face and refused to give me the information. He spoke with me very rudely, demeaning and chauvinistically and his accent made him very difficult to understand. I don't believe that his English was good enough to be able to understand the questions that I was asking him.

To add insult to injury, my husband called shortly after I left and the same man was very nice and said he would take care of the problem for us. I don't know if it's a chauvinistic cultural thing he has. He was obviously a recent immigrant but that kind of treatment is unacceptable and I even had random strangers that witnessed the ordeal come up and pat me on the back and tell me that, "I'm sorry, that wasn't right. You should try talking to a higher up." Afterwards, I went back to the women at the desk and they gave me the number and name of the postmaster without hesitation. I have to pay to have packages shipped again and countless pieces of mail that were returned to sender for no reason.

On October 2008, I requested for my mail to be forwarded. Due to issues with the condo, I moved. The mail was forwarded. On 11/23, I suffered a stroke and decided it would be in my best interest to move back into my home. I once again requested my mail to be forwarded. I have had major problems with my mail. I have important mail coming to me from Disability.

Since my stroke, I have applied for public assistance and have not received any correspondence. I spoke to my case worker in which I was informed that my mail was returned to sender. Now, mind you, my correct address is on file. I applied for unemployment and received no mail. I made contact with unemployment and they also informed me that the mail was sent out and returned. It has gotten to the place where I have to use my brother's address just to get my mail.

My food stamp card was issued three times, was sent to my address and then, was returned to sender. I only received a card using my brother's address. On 3/11/10, I sent a certified letter. On Tuesday, 3/23/10, I received a call from the person in which I sent the certified letter to. The person informed me that they had forwarded the information I requested.

I requested the person to forward the mail to my brother's address. On Wednesday, 3/24/10, I went to 119 St. Gratigny Post Office and requested the certified letter to be tracked. I was informed that the item was delivered on 3/12/10. I then spoke to area manager Ariel ** about my issues with my mail and why I haven't received my receipt of the item being delivered. Ariel stated, "Well, I hope it's on the way." I have emailed the post office and made some inquiries. I do not know what else to do. I never thought anything could happen like this. It's like I'm an idiot. All USPS can say is, "We send out whatever comes to us." Please assist me with this problem, my health is not ready for this.

This is the second time in less than 2 months that a package I mailed has been delivered to the wrong address or a long delay in getting from Dallas to Wlimer. It does not take 2 days to deliver mail from Dallas Texas to Wilmer Texas 75172. Would you please find out why this package has not been delivered yet? Where is it? It seems the carrier still has it. The question is, why?

USPS told me that if it said it was delivered, there is nothing they can do to help me. I was home all day waiting for it, so by them saying they came, I know they didn't.

I checked my package using the tracking no. **. Detailed Results: Notice Left, March 22, 2010, 1:49 pm, Jersey City, NJ 07307. Arrival at Post Office, March 22, 2010, 9:55 am, Jersey City, NJ 07307. Processed through Sort Facility, March 21, 2010, 10:34 pm, Kearny, NJ 07099. Processed through Sort Facility, March 19, 2010, 9:38 pm, Santa Clarita, CA 91383. Electronic Shipping Info Received, March 19, 2010. Acceptance, March 19, 2010, 2:06 pm, Tujunga, CA 91042.

The above information is not true. I am home all day. No one rang my door bell and if they don't ring the bell, how is an attempt made? I'm on the third floor. If the bell isn't rung, how do I know the package is here? This is the second time this has happened. Only this time a notice wasn't even left. I have submitted two redelivery forms. One for 3/23 and one for 3/24. Nothing came on the 23rd. I called and was told to call main post office on the 24th, which I did between 8-9 am (800)275-8777. I was told because I didn't have a missed you notice, my package might not be redelivered. So, now I'm being held responsible for the postman not doing his job.

Whoever placed the attempt to deliver information, lied. No attempt was made. And now I have to just sit here and hope I get what I have paid for. This is outrageous. The person I spoke to about this gave me no assurance whatsoever. From now on I'm going to try and make sure my packages are delivered by another source. If I don't get my item today, I am going to call tomorrow and a complaint will be filed. I don't believe one word of it. If someone can lie about making a delivery and leaving a notice so I will just financially be out of what I paid for the item. Since this is the second time this has occurred, I felt the need to put my own complaint in. Thank You.

We have not received mail since 3/10/10. After about 4 days of not getting any mail to our mail box, we decided to go to the local post office on 3/15. Oscar went to the post office to find out what was going on as we were waiting for very important documents that had been mailed already. He was helped by a clerk name Julie who was very rude and kept on talking over me. This including talking to the clerk next to her in another language. He was told that we had no mail because our box was full. She also told him that Raquel needed to go get her mail herself. She was very firm and in a diminor tone she told me that they would not deliver mail until all the mail had been picked up.

On 3/16/10, I myself, took the time off work to go to the post office to get my mail. When I arrived I was also assisted by the clerk named Julie who was also very rude to me. I told her that we had been out for a couple of days and that was the reason why the box was full, that we were very sorry for the inconvenience. She was very short and did not care much for my apology. She went to get 2 pieces of mail and I asked if they would now please deliver the mail to my mailbox. She said no, that we still had mail to be picked up. I asked what mail and she said Ricardo **. I told her that was my son and if she would please give it to me. She said, "No. Hoe do I know he is your son?" I explained to her that my son was in school and she said, "Well, bring something to show he is your son."

As I did not have anything with me to prove he is my son, I had to leave. At that point, before I left I asked if that was the only person that needed to pick up mail and she said yes. I asked again if they would now deliver mail. She said, "No, not until you pick everything up. And call the supervisor". She gave me the telephone number and I was told to call before 7:30 the next morning."

I asked my Dad to take my son after school to pick up his mail. When my son went to the post office, he got one piece of mail for him and one for me. He also asked if there was anything else. He was told that there was mail for Angela and Andrew. He asked if he could please have that mail. They told him no. Andrew and Angela are my other kids. As you can see, I don't understand why Julie would not tell me that there was mail for Andrew who is 12 yrs old and Angela who is 4 yrs old.

Oscar went again on 3/17 to pick up the mail for Andrew and Angela. At that point, they told him we would now receive our mail. We continued to not get mail until today 3/23/10. We call today at 7:00 am to ask if they would please deliver our mail. They said we should be able to get the mail today and to check. We did finally get mail but 2 pieces of mail. My frustration is that now, all my past mail for over 10 days has been lost or returned. I have no utility bills among our other mail.

My frustration is the treatment my entire family and I received from the postal workers. I felt very humiliated when I went to the post office and in front of all the other customers, I was treated like that by Julie. How she kept on talking in another language made me very upset as I felt that she was talking about me. I understand we made a mistake by not getting our mail out of the box for a couple of days and it was due to a medical emergency. I had to explain that to her in front of other people which I did not appreciate. I am a working person and pay taxes and don't believe that I deserved the way we have been treated, specially after doing everything they told me to do, going numerous times to the post office, calling before 7:30am. Everything they asked us to do, we did.

We did not get any of our bills, Now, we will probably be late and have to pay late fees. I had to take 2 hours off work to go to the post office. They open at 9:00 and I work in Long Beach. My fiance's EDD checks were lost. That was the biggest economic damage as he did not get the checks and we need his income to survive with our daily life. He also lost very important documents that he confirmed with EDD that was mailed last week on 3/17/10.

I sent very important documents to Portsmouth NH, and it has not arrived, and no one can tell me why. These documents are for the NVC. It would be costly and time consuming. Time is important. The documents are difficult to replace.

Requested and paid for redirection of my mail. No mail received for more then 15 days, so I called and opened a case to find out what was wrong. Receive a case # of CA1015357777 and was told someone will contact me within 2 business day. Over a week and no calls. Placed another call and they added comments to the already opened case and assigned someone else to the case and mentioned that another person will be contacting within 2 business day. 5 days passed and no call at all. Now the case is assigned to the Consumer Affair under the case # CA101609602. Lost rent checks, policy checks, and other important letters. Bank account went overdraft due to lack of deposits. Still not getting all the letters that I was supposed to receive. Need to find out what happened and get the case resolved.

I live in a secured building with video cameras. According to the USPS website, a package was delivered on 03.01.10 at 3:23pm, tracking #0309 2880 0001 2925 1895. I requested that my building management check the security cameras and they were not able to see the mail carrier delivering a package at this time. I have filed a claim on the customer service line and was asked to wait 2 business days for a response. After 3 business days, I was told they would be unable to assist me and I needed to call the local post office, case#CA101532509 on 03.08.10.

The local post office representative that answered the phone stated that only the supervisor would be able to assist me and there was no supervisor on staff. This happened two days in a row. I was asked to call back after 2pm to speak with a supervisor the next day and I did. I finally spoke with a supervisor on 03.12.10 who stated he would check into this and get back to me. I never received a call and no one has been able to give me any information. The alarming thing is the supervisor I spoke to stated that there were several complaints of missing packages in my complex. I think this is a greater problem with the package delivery person on this route. The item I purchased was not delivered to me and I have not been reimbursed.

I have had an ongoing problem with mail delivery through USPS since I first moved to my current residence. It started with failure to deliver a social security check, and for almost two years since, I have had ongoing delivery problems.

I have a regular priority mail delivery that comes at least once a month, and long ago, I already complained to the Ombudsman, local postmaster and the local supervisor with a conference call set up by Mr. W at our local consumer affairs. Mr. W leads off his efforts with the warning that there is nothing he can actually do to enforce anything, so we have rely on the supervisor's good will to accomplish anything. Well, nothing was accomplished.

My last monthly shipment that was delivered by Priority Mail to me is a good example of what is now happening. The delivery was late in arriving by several days, so I called the supplying company to get a tracking number, and as usual, it said there was an attempt to deliver and notice left. Neither of these things is true. I am house bound with disabilities; almost never leave my apartment. I cannot drive, so I am here. There was no notice left in my mail box saying there was an attempt to deliver. I get this information from the Track and Confirm Service at the USPS website, after the shipping company has provided me with a tracking number.

So, I reschedule a delivery for the next business day, by calling the 800 number for USPS, and also make a complaint for there not actually being an attempt to deliver, or notice left. On the rescheduled delivery date, the same thing happens. The Track and Confirm information at the USPS website says the carrier attempted to deliver, and left a notice but neither is the case.

So, I reschedule a delivery date, and lodge another complaint. Same thing happens again. In fact, I had to reschedule three times, with a complaint attached to each time I rescheduled a delivery.

Most recently I stopped using the company I was ordering from and switched to a different company that provides me with a tracking number via email, the moment they ship my goods. Under this new arrangement, I don't have to wait a few days to give USPS time to show that they are not going to deliver. I can see what is happening right away.

Well, the same thing happened today, and I have had to reschedule a Priority Mail delivery, when I encounter the USPS website reporting an attempt to deliver, and notice left, when neither actually occurred.

Having complained so many times to USPS, via every avenue short of a complaint to the Post Master General, I am simply stacking up complaints I have made. I cannot believe that carriers can lie in writing about their delivery activities so many times and get away with it. I can't believe that so many complaints have not caused the supervisor to act, nor the local Post Master. I can't believe that this situation could possibly be allowed to go on for as long as it has.

What I believe at this point is that there is no one at USPS that gives a ** about their job, their integrity, nothing. There is no place to turn for real assistance. The system has failed completely in every way and since it has, there is nothing that can be done to fix it.

I will now use the current shipping situation to advantage because it does give me a tracking number right away, and every time the USPS misses deliveries, and fails to give notice, my complaints will no longer go to USPS individuals on the telephone, but will be made in writing using their website. From that, I intend to collect the information for filing all the failures which will continue.

I can only guess at how many times missed deliveries and complaints by me will end up being recorded, but I am sure it will be a lot, and when it gets to outrageously amazing proportions I may again copy all this information to anyone who might help; the Post Master General, my elected representatives including the White House, the media and certainly it deserves to be broadcast over the Internet. But this is now my goal, short of Consumer Affairs finally making any difference in this situation whatsoever.

As of Jan/1/2010, for some unknown reason any mail pertaining to funds and my children's medical benefits has not been delivered. I have taken steps to secure that all mail is delivered such as placing my children's names as well as my own in the mail box 3 times. My children are severely asthmatic and are seeing a specialist and the doctor was changed and due to the mail not being delivered, however, all bills such as gas, lights, cable are being placed in the box. I did not even know this.

I arrived at the doctor's office and was informed on that day, 3/11/10, and my son who is very ill could not be seen. I have filed a complaint with the post office; however, the problem still exists. The Ca unemployment office has mailed many items to me over a period of 90 days; I have not gotten them. They were the ones who informed me to contact consumer affairs as well as the post office.

It has placed my children's health and welfare at risk as no medical insurance cards nor funds to continue to care for them who need breathing medication on a continuous basis, and my rent and bill are not being met as a result of unemployment benefits not being placed in my mailbox by the post master.

Carrier or Delivery person who works in USPS, Newark, 07108, never place my mail in my mail box which is locked by padlock. He placed all mails on the steps or folded and inserted in the steps rails, or leave mail on the street, or give it to across the street neighbor.Even though I have a locked mailbox, I did not receive a court service, cost me a lot of troubles and a default judgment against me. $8000 default judgment.

I sent a letter with $200.00 money order and it never got delivered to my bank, causing me to be behind on my payment. Now I am out $200.00 because I trusted our mail service to deliver it. The consequence is loss of money. I'm delinquent on payment.
