Diane of Roanoke , VA February 9, 2010 I have a mail box along a public street, I live on a street behind a bar and frequently someone patroning the bar will park in front of my mailbox. The letter carrier will not step out of her truck to put my mail in the box! About 3 or 4 steps! I havn't had mail delivered in a week! This makes it hard to get my bills paid on time if I dont get them! I cant ask people not to park there because it is a public street. Can I affix a box to my house and then she will have to deliver the mail whether someone is parked there or not? I have been late on bills and had to pay late charges because of not getting my mail delivered on the day it was supposed to be delivered. Thiessalyn of Phenix City, AL February 8, 2010 I file a complaint three times. I have been having problems with my mail delivery. sherry of Hampton, VA February 5, 2010 Our home at 16 Holloway Drive burned to the ground on New Years day. We changed our address on line and paid the required 1 and got confirmation that our mail would be forwarded to our new temporary address. Since that time we have received an occasional piece of mail, we have had mail returned to sender stating that the residence is temporarily uninhabited, we have had our personal and financial mail placed in a neighbors box. We have absolutely no idea on any given day where and if we will get our mail. We have called and complained twice to the USPS. We were told that a supervisor would be in touch with us in 2 business days. That was a week ago. Brian of Austin, TX February 5, 2010 My wife and I are getting a divorce, she moved, she turned in a change of address form for mail with her name and only her name on it, my mail carrier assumed she meant a family plan and returned all my mail as undeliverable. I have made repeated phone calls to the post office and they have told me my mail is in a warehouse in San Antonio (about 90 miles away) and that it may take up to 2 weeks to get it to me. I haven't received more than a couple pieces of mail in 2 weeks. I have medical prescriptions which I need now, W-2 form and other tax documents, mortgage and utility bills, and money in birthday cards, all missing in the mail. I have already had to pay late fees incurred because of utility bills not being paid on time. I am without my medications. The staff at that post office do not seem to care about my problem, which they admit was their fault, are doing nothing to expedite the return of my mail (why does it take 2 weeks to move that mail 90 miles?) and have responded to my understandable frustration by raising their voices, yelling at me, and asking me repeatedly what it is I expect them to do about it. At this time, I have not received any of my back mail, and have received only 2 pieces of mail all week (including junk mail) which has caused me to worry that the problem has not been fixed and my mail is still not being delivered. Maggie of New York, NY February 4, 2010 I am a resident of New York City, and have lived at the same address for over 2 years now. Until recently, I was receiving my mail normally. However, I began hearing that people were sending me mail and having it returned because the US Post Office claimed I had "moved and left no forwarding address." I have made several calls to the post office, spoken to my mail man, and put my name inside my post office box. Each time, I will receive a few pieces of mail, and the entire ordeal will begin again. My mail continues to be returned to senders, and I am at a loss for how to proceed. I am not receiving checks and bills, and am even missing important tax and insurance documents. Unfortunately, it is not like I can go to another mail provider after being dissatisfied with service received. I have no other options. Can your organization please help me resolve this problem? Guillermo of La Belle, FL January 31, 2010 About two weeks ago made my change of address. Since until yesterday(01-29-10) had not received anything, online see the tracking of a check very important to me which had been returned to its sender. Today I call the office of La Belle and Mr. S is treating me with very little willingness to help, saying the carrier (Mrs Lucresta or Lucretia) of the area later called me, after four hours I again call on Mr S, the answer was the same. At this time Mr.S were upset and the carrier I never called me. All this has cost me and cost me a lot of money by maturity, etc, etc and not finding cooperation and arbitrary actions by these employees is to turn to you. L of Alamo, CA January 22, 2010 We have not received mail for 2 days except for packages on 1/19 and 1/20/10. We ALWAYS receive mail and specifically we should have received netflix on 1/20 and a mail from EDD on 1/21/10 Dave of Edwardsburg, MI January 21, 2010 My daughter had lived with us and when she moved she filled a change of address form out and checked family for her family and it transferred all our mail.We are the head of the household.I called and filed complaint wit postmaster general she contacted edwardsburg post office they in returned called me and said it was an easy fix.Well it has been about three weeks still very little mail.I have been unemployed due to recession and was approved for the Obama trial loan modification made all three payments according to schedule then called to check about fourth payment, was told loan was sold notice had been sent to wrong address so now me and my family may lose our home due to the post office not getting us our mail. The edwardsburg post office told me thats my problem deal with it.Now what if we lose our home Steven of New York, NY January 20, 2010 My firm is located in the post office support of zip code 10022. In the past months service has diminished to state to where mail is failing to be delivered. The delivery of mail usually occurred between the hours of 11AM and 1:30PM. Over th last 12 months its been extended to 3:30PM and as late as 6PM. Yesterday mail failed to be delivered all together and this happened a few weeks ago as well. Businesses run on the delivery of the US Postal Service and I would like to understand how this can be resolved. Terry of Schaumburg, IL January 19, 2010 On monday 1/17/2010 I found a notice in my mail box that an attempt was made on Friday 1/16/2010 to deliver two parcels. These parcels were madicine that I needed from the Veterans Hospital.. I called on 1/17/2010 because no mail would be delivered on 1/17/2010 because of Martin Luther Kings birthday. I called the Hoffman Estates post office to see if pick-ups could be made. A person said yes, I was told if you come inside the post office, and ring the bell someone can get your two parcels. I got a ride to the post office and no one showed for over 15 minutes of ringing the bell. This was right after i had called. So I called again the next day and got an postal employee named Harry M on the line. I stated I had two parcel numbers and wanted to see if they were there and if i could pick up my parcels. I explained these parcels were medicine that I needed. Harry M said I only see one, I asked to know what happened to the other parcel. he said "Don't know you only have one " . I asked, how can I track the other parcel. He said I told you, you have only one. He then said he tried to deliver them and someone rang the bell and no one answered. I was home and heard no bell. I then called again and harry became very rude. "Look I don't know where your damn parcels are. We tried to deliver them and you didn't answer your door. | |||
