Movie Fans Suspect Foul Play at the Post Office

They were sent to my son in the 44th Fighter Squadron, APO AP 96367. The first package arrived over three weeks ago and the camcorder had been taken out and the box taped back up. I have since put in an insurance claim. The second box has yet to arrive. It has several fishing poles worth more than $250.

Luckily I had insurance. My son and his wife have agreed to open the packages at the military post office from now on and check the contents.

Tammy of Richmond VA (7/31/04):
On Jun 30, 04 I contaced my Post Office manager because my military checks were being sent back because they said there had been a change of address. I explained that I had been living at this address since Oct 03. I had been wondering why I had not been getting my mail and the few peices I had gotten had been sent to my old address and resent back here. The important bills such as my electric bill, car payment etc. were never received. My car insurance company had also called asking for my new address because their correspondence had been sent back. It seemed as if some mail was sent back and other mail just disappeared.

I faxed Mr. Jacobs pieces of mail that I had received back where someone had handwritten the change. Mr. Jacobs said he would let me know what happened. As of Jul 13, 04 I had not heard from him so I called back. I called back at 1:19pm and was informed by one of the workers that he was on vacation and had not passed any information on. On the 14th of July I called the 800 number for complaints and spoke to Ms. Hasif. Also I faxed her the same information. She told me that she didn't know what the problem was and apparently I had put in a change of address or the change would not have happened. When I explained again that I did not put in the change she said that I had to have put it in because all change of addresses are given to the carrier. Needless to say, I am upset because this issue has never been resolved and I am still having problems.

She said the only thing I could do would be to resubmit a change of address which makes no sense since I have been here almost a full year and never had problems with my mail until June. On the 24th of July I received a peach colored card in my mailbox stating that I had a very large envelope that could not be delivered and for me to call and schedule for redelivery. I called on the 26th of July at 10:18am and arranged to have it redelivered on the 31st of July. As of today (Jul 31st) the item was not redelivered. I called the 800 number to let them know and this time I was given a number for my complaint and was told that it would be redelivered monday with a new confirmation number. I am at my wits end trying to figure out who is messing with my mail.

My unit is on alert to be possibly sent to Iraq and I cannot leave knowing someone is messing with my mail.
