USPS - Change of Address |

|
Jesse of Hazlet NJ (12/3/04):
My mail is currently still going to my old address. The people living there who were friends of mine, have attempted to open my mail numerous times, therefore having access to many personal and private identifications. This situation has now become an inconvenience and I do not know what to do. All of my attempts have failed. I would like to start receiving mail at my new address soon. It is now going on three months. Robert of Pennington NJ (8/24/04):
I have had a mailman put mail on top of our mailbox because he thought our mailbox was too low. Turns out it was not. This mailman, Steve also refused to deliver our mail. I am not sure how an individual can just decide that on his own. Anyway, I have not received any forwarded mail yet. I am ready to call an attorney. I called the Shingle Springs Post office on August 18th and they said they would forward it. It is August 24 and I still have not received any forwarded mail. There is no communication between the Sacramento Post Office and the Shingle Springs Ca office. Carol of Suwanee GA (8/10/04):
Well now since my new address is Suwanee, I have been getting so much mail that does not belong to me, and the addresses are not even close to mine. One day I got 8 pieces of wrong mail, 6 pieces for one address and 2 pieces for another address. So my question to the Suwanee post office was “where is my mail being delivered”. The response I received was not what I wanted to hear, oh well we have people that don’t even speak the language so it is hard to communicate the address to them. What kind of an answer was that? Well yesterday, I received in the mail my credit card bill that had been opened (because it was taped back shut) and on the envelope “delivered to wrong address”. This letter I received yesterday was a past due notice from the credit card company, so my first bill did not even get to my address. I always pay my credit card bills off each month, so consequently, this past due bill has a large fee on it, that I do not believe should be my fault, since the United States Post office cannot deliver mail to the correct address. I had to call the credit card company and cancel my card because my bill had been opened and I could tell that one of the courtesy checks was missing. I think that this is a pretty serious situation. When I called the Suwanee postmaster, today, Mr Steve White, I could not even get an apology, or any kind of response to my satisfaction. He did not even respond as to “I will get to the bottom of this” and sorry for the mishap. |
