FedEx Buys Kinko's

Shelly of Ironton MO (5/21/03):
I made a purchase off ebay. The seller charged me $49 for S&H through Fedex ground delivery. The delivery was to take 2-4 days. The item was shipped out by Fedex on 5-5-03. I received a postcard in the mail on 5-15-03 saying I needed to call this 800 number & give exact directions to my house. So on the 15th I called & gave exact directions & here it is the 21st & I still have not received my packages.

I have called the 800 number 4 different times & 3 out of 4 operators couldn't tell me a thing & didn't know where my packages were. One operator told my today the packages would be delivered today & I've yet to see them. I called them back this evening & they said they would check on my packages & give me a call back & let me know where they were. Just like the other time I was told this, I never received any type of phone call. Now I live in a very small town if the driver couldn't find the location of my house then he/she could have asked somebody where I lived & they could have told them.

The saddest part of it all is every day I see a Fedex delivery person here in my hometown & I still have not received my packages. I think they should refund my S&H charges & everybody else's who has had these problems. I have never had this problem with UPS. My advice: Use UPS they are definately more reliable than Fedex.

Barry of Sanitaria Springs NY (5/22/02):
Packages were never delivered or undeliverable. Apparently driver doesn't know the difference between "Depot Street" and "Depot Hill Road." Damage Resulting: Delays in delivery. Delivered to wrong address. Makes me very upset. Customer service wasn't very helpful.

D.F. of Wilmington, NC writes (4/24/01):
After I ordered a pick up, it took FedEx Ground one WEEK to pick up my three packages! Then they LOST two of them! Strange because they were very distinctive-looking, odd-shaped, large, properly labeled and ALL THREE GOING TO THE SAME ADDRESS! At first they stated all three were delivered, but after many days and calls to the managers at the different hubs, customer service, etc., they finally admitted 2 of the packages were lost.

It has now been over two and a half months, 60+ logged phone calls (12+ phone hours), dozens of email and faxes, and dozens of re-emails and re faxes, a horrendous amount of buck passing. All this and FedEx has denied my claim. She said I did not have proof that I declared a value. I DID declare a value when I filled out the shipping information their web site www.fedex.com.

Here’s the next FedEx problem, they do not have a way to make a receipt online like ups.com and others. I do have the original screen captures of the transactions, but that does not satisfy them! I am very meticulous with my record keeping.

To top all of this off ... I received an invoice for the three packages a month and a half after the packages shipped. The package that was delivered, was late ... but to get a refund it’s FedEx’s policy that they can not refund the shipping costs after 15 days! It took 6 weeks to get the invoice ... How many other ways can FedEx Ground STICK ME!!!

Today I spent from 1:30pm till 6pm again trying to get someone in FedEx to help ... once again being bounced around from on dept to the next, even their Public Relations Dept seemed to not sympathize with me.
