WageWorks/Health Equity has always been a pain to deal with especially with submitting claims or documentation. Often I've had to submit documentation more than once and let's not forget about them freezing my FSA card and it taking days for them to rectify the problem. In the past couple of weeks I can no longer log into my account online. They give the facade that you can but it never works. Instead they want you to log in and use the mobile app so they can capture and share your "biometric" data... you know, your face, eyes and fingerprint!!! Run from this company!

I worked for Alps Alpine North America, Inc. Company restructured end of March 2026. We were told 30 days of COBRA coverage. WageWorks is the administrator, absolutely DISGRACEFUL, incompetent, communication issues, call center environment and all you hear in the background is laughing. I called for a week and each representative read from the same script.

Worst experience ever with constant rejections of valid Medical documentation and a website that requires you to update your login information periodically without informing you in advance of the need to update password, etc. I would say the amount of time spent on figuring out the issues eats away any savings.. I am only giving one star because I have to

I can't say enough bad things about this company. Typical scenario.... I go to a dentist to get an implant and spend $1400, I submit what the dentist gave me....Denied. Why? I have no idea and all they say is "Denied".... I submit it again, same form. Sometimes they accept it, sometimes it's denied again. I have to get my Benefits dept. involved and they can't help at all either sometimes. This has been happening, mainly with the dentist, for a decade now. I'm seriously considering dropping my HSA account next year, it's not worth the hassle.

They denied my FSA claim even with all the documentation that I provided. Customer representative gave me different information. I called them four times and got different instructions each time. I even talked to their supervisor but it didn't help.

Their process is to deny everything at least 2 times in hope that you give up and end the benefit year with a lot of unused dollars. Copays can require a bill/invoice with everything broken down, a receipt, an Explanation of Benefits and still be turned down. After an hour long chat via their “non-AI” customer service (it is still AI or pre-written answers) or a two hour long phone call overseas to people who have no clue what is happening, you might on your fourth chance get it approved BECAUSE it’s now recorded that their actions are illegal. I’ve also had providers “accidentally” double charge me, and they will not help. The company works to ensure stealing money on behalf of providers and denying reimbursements or payments for customers. Beyond corrupt and useless.

I don’t know that the tax benefit is worth the sanity cost to submit the simplest things. And alternative care (fascia massage, lymphatic drainage, vitamins) for Chronic illness? Forget it. You can have the detailed primary doctor note, specialist paperwork they require, invoice, payment receipt, signed affidavit and they won’t even consider it. CORRUPT company stealing from workers.

My company switched to this company WageWorks to manage our FSA and dependent care accounts. A couple of years ago I think this is the worst company ever. They are incompetent to say the least. You are constantly submitting and resubmitting receipts for services that are straightforward. My dentist has even faxed receipts to them and they claim they have never gotten it. She did it 3 times already then. I have to submit the same things. They keep denying it. They offset my account for 2025. That's already been paid for with my fsa visa with 2026 charges and remove money put if my new benefit year. Their customer service department is incompetent and I have to call so many times and go over and over my account. I'm going to complain to HR about this company and now that I see how many bad reviews they have. I'm going to push that they should drop this company.

Went to go purchase a pair of glasses. Called to activate card. Person said card is activated. Card was declined. Spent an hour on the phone, they claim purchase code was legit and no explanation why it got declined. Now there’s a case that take a a week to resolve to open my card. I’d give this experience negative 5 stars if I could. Less painful to go get a second job and pay out of pocket. Best part is it’s my money I’m trying to use.

I have had a WageWorks account for a decade and it was mostly fine for that time. However, in 2025- 2026, they have changed their systems (they were acquired by HealthEquity) and are forcing everyone to re-register. The new system is unable to add my bank account for direct deposit and they are effectively holding my FSA funds hostage unless I pay a $2 fee to get them to mail me a paper check instead of direct deposit. There was never any fee prior to 2026 nor did I have any problems adding my banking information.

I need help every year... as I get older, I seem to get dumber! The lady who always helps me for the Wage-works Participant area is SUPERB! She is really customer-oriented, methodical, and patient with her great help. We always solve the LOGIN and Claims Submittal problem I have!! THANK YOU! Oh, I'd like to know who thought up the 15-DIGIT Password!!! Diabolical! (*_*)
