All I can say is they are the worse people to believe and trust. They bullied my spouse and I in Orlando, Fl. We have been doing the best we can and all they do is rob us and show no mercy. I just pray the bank understand that I changed my card for anything with Westgate but they just use your old card anyhow for whatever they feel they can and refuse to give you the money back.
I am a disabled Mom and live just with my baby now. I do still have my Spouse who is there for me the best he can be. He’s my muscle as I am very ill, disable in my legs and require surgery, not working, and they still don’t care. Run for your lives. They are the worse to do business with, trust me, the absolute worse. They will all reap what they sow. They selling their souls for money. God have your way. This is all the time they will have serving the devil and money. No humanity shown none whatsoever. It’s all about the money. Millionaires and trillionaires robbing off the backs of working Americans born here. It’s just horrible. Just don’t get in bed with them period. I’m done with them and will write them off as non existent in my life. Goodbye and God bless

This place is trying to steal your money,, and customer service is worse, "Kendra" was the 4th person I was transferred to and she was all not letting my wife speak, she would talk over and never allow her a word in, she would not transfer me to a supervisor and then hung up on you, God forbidden you go to the timeshare and don’t give them the $10,000-$30,000 down, right there to a timeshare, the Realtor we had got an attitude, said we lead him on, and threw his hands up and left us at the breakfast table to have someone else have us sign papers to not sign up for timeshare,, and now after 6 weeks from our stay I’m having charges on my bank of $52.17 coming out,,??
Really, the worst stay I’ve ever been on, the worse Westgate staff I’ve ever encountered and now this multimillion dollar company charge/steals money from hard, family, working people,,, Thanks Westgate Resorts,, You and Kendra have just ruin every family vacation we will now go on, having to worry about being taken advantage of instead of spending family vacation together.

My wife saw a deal on Facebook for four days, three nights stay at the Westgate Hotel. We were gonna go see an Elvis show there so we stayed there. But the part of the premise was to have to go to a presentation. We've done it before that was why we were hesitant. We were gonna go in and make sure we said no but it was a hard pressure situation and they got us to buy it. We're regretting it now but we'll stick with it. I'm gonna try and utilize it as best as I can. We also paid an extra 50 bucks in order for them to give us the opportunity to sell their stuff and have people go and use their stuff.
One thing I didn't like was our sales rep gave us his phone number and said I could call. I had questions directly after it happened but I never heard from him ever again. But the guy who did the finances and had us to do all the signing of the paperwork was helpful. I reached out to him a month after and guided me where I needed to go for the question that I had. Overall, the whole experience was good. We liked the food and the room accommodations. We liked the tour as well. But on the back end of this, you get all these deals that they get you to sign for then you gotta wait. It was way longer than we wanted it to be.

We were given a discounted stay at a Westgate resort to sit through a timeshare meeting. The meeting was only suppose to last about 2 hours and we ended up being there 5 hours! They wouldn’t take no for an answer and promised we could rent it out, pass it to our kids or sell it very easily if we wanted. That hasn’t been true at all and the experience overall has been extremely horrible. They never told us the maintenance fees would go up every year and deny that they had to because it was hidden in the paperwork. We haven’t been able to use the timeshare even one time since we bought it even though the whole point of getting it was because they said we could use it anytime!
Westgate refuses to take any responsibility for their employees misleading us and won’t do anything to let us cancel it. They take months and months to reply to us too and even then it's always some excuse as to why they haven't gotten back to us. It’s beyond frustrating! We just want to cancel the timeshare and be done with it. We feel trapped with no way out. Don’t fall for their shady practices! No one should have to battle a company that won’t own up to its actions or help resolve issues. It’s outrageous and hope that maybe this will help someone else. Westgate you lied to us and we want out!!

We had agreed to sit through a 90 minute sales presentation in return for putting down a $50 deposit on discounted Disney tickets. We were basically held captive by the sales staff when our 90 minutes were up, they would not release us and give us our discounted tickets. We sat there for almost 3 hours waiting for the manager to sign off on their sales pitch when we only agreed to a 90 minute sales presentation Very unethical. We told them after after the sales presentation that the promotion was not for us that we were not interested. That should’ve been the end of it right there.

I am extremely disappointed with the unethical actions of your sales representatives. Westgate impersonates lawyers during sales presentations, which is a deceitful and misleading. This has left me feeling frustrated and angry, especially considering the negative impact on my credit, and the fact I was promised I could refinance the extremely high interest rate when I got home.
As a responsible business, it is imperative that you are transparent and honest with your customers. The fact that your representatives felt the need to pretend to be lawyers in order to persuade potential clients is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on your company as a whole. I demand a thorough explanation as to why this dishonest practice was allowed to occur, and what steps your company plans to take in order to rectify this situation. Furthermore, I demand the closure of my account and the return of all my money, as I do not wish to be associated with such unethical conduct.
I hope that your company takes this matter seriously and implements measures to prevent such actions from happening again. Honesty and transparency are crucial in any business relationship, and your company's reputation depends on it. I urge you to take immediate action to address these issues and provide a detailed response outlining your plan of action.

Westgate Reservations said my payments wouldn't start until 30 days after everything got done, and they started charging me before everything was finished. Also, they kept calling every day and I had to keep explaining myself to them and it got to be a headache. The guy that was supposed to be our account manager never called us back and never did what he was supposed to do.

Everything is very comfortable at Westgate but they should offer more incentives. I've been with them since 2007 and I wish they have a point system. I don't feel that I'm getting my money's worth saving more since their maintenance has gotten so high. In the beginning, it was beautiful. But now, it's not. I'm hoping I don't have to get out in the future.

I left a review on June 15 but for some reason no one posted or responded. So I am going to do it again. I was initially sold a trial package by third-party individuals, who were later found to have conducted fraudulent practices. I was offered a refund and then coerced into signing up for a week every year with dues every other year, along with $1,500 in travel money.
However, it has become apparent that this offer was too good to be true. The promises made by Westgate during the two-hour sales pitch were not upheld, and the benefits of the timeshare were not as advertised. Furthermore, the financial investment required for the timeshare is not feasible for my current situation. Westgate feels they have done nothing wrong and their sales tactics are appropriate. This is unfair to consumers who are being tricked and lied to in order to purchase.

I have been trying to end my timeshare agreement with Westgate for quite some time now. However, all I have received in return are empty threats of foreclosure and absolutely no action on their part. Despite being fully aware of the medical and financial hardships that my family and I are facing, Westgate continues to add to our stress levels, which is only bound to make our health conditions worse.
It is infuriating to see how little regard Westgate has for their customers. They don't seem to care about the people they have trapped in their timeshare agreements. All they care about is making money by any means necessary, even if it means running over their customers and putting their health at risk. I believe Westgate's Sales tactics need to be investigated and they should be shut down. They should not be allowed to lie to get a sale to be made. There are lemon laws in place for car sales so why is there anything protecting customers from Timeshares?

Westgate cares more about getting people to buy in than the "owners" that pay for their accommodations. We have seen a steep decline on the value of owners and loyalty. No one should EVER buy into a timeshare, but even if you wanted to, Westgate should never be on your list of places to buy into. They don't care about you, and they will screw you over in an instant regardless of how long you've owned or how much you've paid in. It's not worth it in any capacity at all.

TimeShares are almost impossible to sell and maintenance fees keep going up. Westgate has a “legacy program” where they will take the timeshare off your hands for a $2500. They get a unit they are selling for $80,000 and still want money from us. Bad deal, bad people.

River Terrace was the only place I got to stay at and it was a nice experience. But what Westgate tells you that they sell is this big thing with log cabins and this and that. They got me out $7,000 and I never spent a night up there. It’s a timeshare and I dislike it all other than River Terrace. If you see somebody on the street that's trying to sell you a timeshare, you should keep walking.

We’re LONGTIME Westgate owners. My sister recently left a review for the Resort in Mesa, AZ. The staff was friendly and the views were amazing but the rooms themselves were VERY underwhelming and when my mother booked two rooms we were separated on a family vacation. After my sister left her review all Westgate did was express their sincerest apologies! As much money as owners spend you’d think they’d do more than just apologize! This is not a good look Westgate! You should be ashamed! If I could go lower than a one star I would!

Westgate is a little bit higher end than the normal ones, and that's where we go for. All the reservations are made through the timeshare company that we have, and we just go there and give them our name. They review it then they go over all the amenities of the resort and where everything's at. The different Westgates that we stayed at all had swimming pools, indoor/outdoor ones. They have little mini golf things, volleyball and basketball courts too. Westgate is great place to stay. We usually stay there for week-long and they get you everything you need. We get them for anywhere between 350 to 450 for the whole week, and they're usually a couple hundred bucks a night so we feel we get a good deal.

I have come to realize that all that glitters is not gold. Buying into Timeshare with Westgate Resort was the greatest nightmare of all times for me. First you are allowed a 10 day period to rescind on the contract; after which period you are bound by the conditions for life. No going back! Recall that within the 10-day-waiting period- you have not accessed the service, nor seen how the program works. By the time you are ready to use the services, the stories become different. You are never given full information, and the moment you request for a service, you get a push back.
Anyone thinking of buying into this Timeshare by Westgate Resort needs to have a second thought. It is the greatest mistake I have ever made in my over 50 years of existence. If you doubt me, and insist on wasting your money on this, please talk to me, and I will offer you mine FREE. I have been paying for the last two years- and for me to offer to transfer this free of charge to anyone, tells you how deeply pained this decision has been. DON'T BUY IT! YOU WILL REGRET IT! I never had anyone to advise me and I made this lifetime mistake. Please do not fall it.

In November 2019 we were deceived by Westgate Timeshare... unethical business practice. They told us we could rent the timeshare anytime and travel anytime we wanted to. No extra annual fees or any hidden fees. They made us sign in a rushed environment. That has been the biggest mistake of our life. We paid them $5,545.78 between the down payment and monthly fees. In 2020 we started seeing other fees that we're asked to pay and some annual fees that they did not inform us of.
In December 2020 and forward we started communicating through emails and calls about cancelling the timeshare or giving it back to them because of the hidden fees and because of Covid-19 we did not use it, is also important to mention the financial difficulties we were having and still have. We told them we wanted to sell it back to them or just give it to them back and take the $5,545.78 we had already given them as a loss. They said no and have been informing the credit bureaus that I am "late" and this has resulted in my credit score to drop. We NEVER used the timeshare at all and have asked for them to please cancel this timeshare and correct the information to the credit bureaus. They refuse to listen. They don’t care.

When we use the timeshare that we have, which is Westgate, it's very easy. We just make a phone call and we're all set. The timeshare didn't have food selections. We went down to a Westgate in Florida, and they had a number of restaurants on the property. It was near Disney World. The resort had a pool. We used the pool. I’ve gone to Disney World a number of times, too. We've been at the one in Branson a number of times and ate at one restaurant they have at the edge of the property and enjoyed that, we sat around and used the fireplaces over in the Branson and we ended up switching from Branson over to Gatlinburg. In Branson, there were a lot of things going on. It was the same thing as Gatlinburg. There are a lot of things going on for families and kids. Shows-wise, you go to Branson for the shows that are out there but not on property. With Gatlinburg, there are not so many shows but there are active things to do.
Timeshares overall, I know they have a bad rap, and it depends on the person. If you're the kind of person who can save up a lot of money on your own to take vacations, you're really better off doing it that way because it gives you more choices. But if you're a person like me where a timeshare is a forced vacation savings account, Westgate is a great way of doing it. I'm storing it away, and then I can switch my timeshare to use elsewhere. It has helped me to take a lot more vacations than I ever had before, which has been nice. I feel like I got my money's worth.

Westgate is a nice resort to stay at. It has a safe area for walks, and for other activities, there's bingo as well as a boat in there. The water park is there too. Stay away from the timeshare presentation. I attended one in Las Vegas and it was the biggest mistake I made. Long story short sales people are a bunch of professional liars. I canceled my contract within the appropriate timeframe and still waiting for my partial downpayment of $300 I gave them. Read your contract, you have at least 10 calendar days to send a certified letter to their corporate office in Florida after signing it. Their contract states upon receipt of your letter they will take up to 20 days not calendar days to issue a refund. There is so much verbiage in the fine print. There is no real ownership in a timeshare just a lot of added expenses that you will continue to pay year after year. The bottom line is don't believe the hype.

We were lied to multiple times by the people that we got the tour from the first time and the salesperson that we got the first time. It was portrayed that we were gonna get all of these other benefits that you don't get unless you are an owner. We've never done anything like that before, so we didn't know what to expect. When we got into the Travel Club, we tried booking at Branson Woods. What we thought we were doing was nothing what we actually got. We were supposed to be in a much nicer place. They put us in this cabin that looked like it was a Super 8 Motel. We were very disappointed.
I got in touch with a lady named Courtney, and she completely turned what we thought about Westgate around. We told her all that happened and she said she'd make it right with us. Now when we've become owners, it's been a whole lot easier on us to be able to enjoy our vacations. We just give Courtney a call and she can take care of everything. But the time that we had to wait until we could book our next trip was a bummer for us. We were part of the Travel Club then we just transferred to become an owner. We had to wait another eight weeks before we could book another trip. But our new agent is very transparent. If you got any questions, you ask her, and if she doesn't know the answer, she'll find it out.

We are truly sorry for the disappointment you experienced during the initial tour and sales process. However, we are delighted to learn that Courtney was able to rectify the situation and positively impact your perception of Westgate. It's fantastic to hear that you are now able to fully enjoy your vacations as owners, and we appreciate your recognition of Courtney's transparency and assistance. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we look forward to hosting you for many more enjoyable stays in the future!

I love my Westgate Resorts timeshare. I like their proximity to Disney. It is a mile away from the Disney gate. They provide transportation. Now that my children are full grown, I love all the amenities that the resort offers. When we go, it's always something being done. The maintenance people are always out there taking care of the palm trees, watering the grass, painting things. People usually complain about seeing they're paying for the maintenance dues and the taxes but we always see that they're always keeping up the resort. I like that. My only concern is at the town center, there's a Mexican place and an Italian place but they're not open on the same days. They alternate their days probably because of staffing.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with us! We're thrilled to hear that you love your Westgate Resorts timeshare, especially for its proximity to Disney. It's fantastic to know that you enjoy the variety of amenities and activities available at our resort, and we appreciate your recognition of our dedicated maintenance team's efforts in keeping the property well-maintained. We understand your concern about the alternating opening days of the restaurants at the town center and will certainly take this into consideration for improvement. We look forward to welcoming you back for many more memorable stays!

As a single mother, I was lured into buying a timeshare with Westgate back in 2011, after attending their lengthy sales presentations. The pressure to make a quick decision was intense, and I felt like I had no choice but to buy. Since then, I have been trapped in a nightmare of never-ending sales pitches, deceptive marketing techniques, and poor quality accommodations. Over the years, I have attended multiple presentations and have been lied to time and time again. They promised that I would be able to bank all money spent on vacations towards a future purchase, but later told me that it was against company policy. Sales representatives kept pushing me to make quick decisions by offering me "deep discounts" that were not real, and threatening that the opportunity to buy would never present itself again.
The financial impact of these commitments has been significant and stressful, causing anxiety and taking away from the enjoyment of my vacations. The worst part is that I can't even escape from their sales tactics during my vacations, as they demand a minimum of 6 hours of my time every single time I stay there. To add insult to injury, the quality of the accommodations has severely deteriorated over time. During my last vacation in 2019, the rooms were dirty and the furniture was downgraded. The staff was unrelenting in their attempts to sell me more, calling my room and knocking on my door repeatedly even when I ignored them.
As a result of all of this, I have desperately reached out to Westgate to give back my timeshare, only to be told that they would only consider buying it back if it was paid in full. I urge everyone to stay away from Westgate, as they have put me through a terrible experience that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Save yourself the heartache and invest your money elsewhere.

We went to the swamp where they got swamp boats but every time we go there, it's closed because of the weather. The staff is friendly. However, I don't like that whenever I go there, they try to sell me more. I just bought another one. That was the last time. Not any more. Also, I was late getting there once. They told me if I’d stay two nights, I was supposed to have been there the day before, but my reservation said I was supposed to be on the day that I got there. They made us leave ‘cause they didn't have a room, after they told us we came late and didn't tell us when we checked in. In Vegas, I had a bad experience as well. They gave me a hotel room instead of a resort owner's room.
