Helpful hostess. Warm atmosphere within breakfast space. Kids located on the poolside for parents to overlook. Smoking rooms. Great music channels, classy. Private laundry room, felt with ease.

Staff were all great, however not enough to make the two night stay enjoyable. They have recently replaced the furniture with new items, but the smell, old carpet and poor lighting in the hallway gave a clear message of age. The freezer had something spilled in it that smelled terrible. We had to give a 100 deposit for possible damages, which of course was returned but that should have sent a red flag. The toilet set was broken, curtains wouldn't close and the cracks in the walls said need some TLC. The vinyl flooring looked nice but the family above us were up both mornings at 6:00am. Overall if I knew what the experience was going to be I would have travelled longer. Don't recommend.

While working Hurricane Ian my flight into Miami was diverted due to storms. Days Inn charged my card for my not showing up!! Guess I could have just told to drop me off. I was charged as a no show. When I did finally get to Miami I called about my room and was told would have to make a new reservation and PAY A 2ND TIME for one night!!

They use a third party company out of Jamaica to make the reservations. They will not give you a refund, they will not move your reservation. And they charge $150 fee for something called tax recovery. It is a scam, it is a rip off, do not ever ever stay at a Wyndham Hotel if you want satisfaction.

We asked for a downstairs room. We got the room on the second floor as far from the parking lot as you could get. There was poop in the toilet, pubic hair on the floor and a bug on the curtain. We have 2 dogs and we’re charged $40 extra! Our stay was not worth that much money for the condition of the room.

Allow me to preface this review by stating that I am no princess; I am a middle-aged, middle-class guy who often takes the road less traveled, and who is more than willing to grin and bear less-than-ideal situations. But sweet lord almighty…I feel compelled to help my fellow travelers avoid this squalid, overpriced flophouse. From the mountain of cigarette butts outside the main lobby to the tastefully placed pubic hairs underneath the pillows, no place screams “who gives a crap” like Days Inn by Wyndham Kenora (an ironically fancy name for such an abysmal, soul-wilting dive).
As I walked up to the counter, the fed-up (albeit efficient) hotel manager told me to hold tight as he moseyed across the lobby to repeatedly scream “Hey, you can’t sleep here!” to the crackhead slumped in one of the pleather chairs. A back-and-forth ensued wherein said crackhead took umbrage at the accusation of sleeping in a public space. I got the sense that this was a routine task for Mr. Manager.
Once checked in, I walked back outside past the smokers (so many smokers) to find my room. I quickly found out it was a smoking room. Not a huge issue as I’m used to being around smokers; and c’mon, it’s just for one night. Woo doggies, was it ever a smoking room! My eyes began to water seconds after opening the door. A big, fat housefly zipped past my face on its way outside (he didn’t seem to like the smoke either). One of his mates was squashed on the wall beside me. Guess housekeeping must have missed the giant bloody splotch right at eye level. Ah well…
Looking around the room, I felt like I was on the set of Breaking Bad. Ancient, amber-stained air conditioner loudly rattling away in the wall. Small exterior window with busted screen jammed back into place. Dead housefly smeared on the wall. Caked-on filth given a hasty once-over between guests. Loud-talking folks with bass-booming cars providing local flavour.
I didn’t feel comfortable setting my overnight bag on the bed. I didn’t want to put it on the table. I sure as hell didn’t want to set it on the floor! I placed it on the chrome overhead rack by the front door. I mean, bedbugs can’t jump that high…can they? Next, I proceeded to lift the mattress off the box spring and inspect it. Again: I am certainly no prima donna…nor have I ever thought to inspect a motel for vermin. But as I sit and write this review, I am still psychosomatically itching myself all over. I found “things” here and there. Lint…pubes…but nothing that I could be reasonably certain were bedbugs.
I slid the particle board nightstand a few inches to see if I was just being a baby. Big mistake. Dust bunnies and human detritus galore…but what are all those black bits? Bugs? Rat turds? Hash residue? Shaved truffles from the most recent royal visit? Perhaps we will never know. “How late is it,” I wondered. “Should I see if there are any other hotels in town? Should I just keep driving?” As you read this review, ask yourself: what reasonable person would think these thoughts upon entering their hotel room?
“Come on man,” I thought. “Chin up.” Maybe I’ll feel better after a bite to eat. I sat down at the Days Inn by Wyndham Kenora restaurant (sounds fancy!) but had to give it a hard pass. Perusing the sticky menu delaminating at the edges, nothing tickled my fancy. Word to the foodies out there, though: escargot is on the menu! I told the server I was going elsewhere (she totally got it) and strolled over to the McDonald’s a few unlit, abandoned lots over. Same sticky surfaces and sense of despair as the Days Inn by Wyndham Kenora (fancy name!)…but at least I trusted the food.
I ended the night on top of my bed in my clothes, getting up periodically to see if my vehicle was still intact. When dawn thankfully came, I left without showering, changing into new clothes and leaving my old ones on the floor. Not only will I never set foot in the Days Inn by Wyndham Kenora again, but I will never, ever patronize the Days Inn brand, period. Just like the gray, doomed, drug-addled zombies that littered the sidewalks of Kenora on my early morning departure, I would sooner sleep underneath a chunk of soggy cardboard. Word to the wise: the pics on the website look just dandy. Heed my words, fellow travelers: this place is not dandy by any definition; it is as divey as it gets.

Right away was off to a bad start. Customer service took a long time. They didn’t give us the room we ordered, instead, they gave us smaller beds because the room was not ready. When we entered room it smelled like cigarettes. I have a child with me so I was very unpleased. We left the room smelling like cigarettes. The receptionist did not want to give me a refund.

I arrived to Days Inn, 806 S. Ocean Drive, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29577, on 07/14/22, after a lengthy drive from Baltimore. **, the employee, at the desk, stated he was not able to find my confirmation, but my card was charged earlier during the day. He was very rude by turning out the lights and clocking out, stating he did not know what to do and he had never been in this situation before. He said he got off at 12am and had to be back by 7 am. He walked to the door, we all walked out, and my family and we're not accommodated. We returned, in the morning, to speak with the manager **. She stated, he gave my room to someone else, in error, did not place their license on file, and charged my card. Since the rates had changed, it is now Friday, the only accommodation I received was a refund. I was not giving another day to come and stay for free. I would not recommend staying here.

Booked a last minute (about 8hrs before) stay at the Charlotte NC Woodlawn location. Arrive and the credit card machine does not work. They allow us to use cash but there is no atm on sight. We find an atm and come back. Check in but the key cards don’t work. A house keeper lets us in the room after several attempts from the desk clerk to fit it. We let them know that’s fine as we can keep someone in the room all day as long as we have a key card before morning because that’s when we all have to be out at the same time and be able to get back in. The plumbing isn’t great and almost immediately the toilet clogged. They let us know they’ll just switch our room.
Get to room 2 and the ac is broken, tv is broken and it reeks of moth balls. Call down and they say, "Ok we’ll just switch your room again." In walks the general manager into the room who says ZERO words to anyone even when spoken to and he walks out. He then tells us that the ac isn’t broken and he’ll switch us now but he will not be switching us again. Well when we went into the THIRD ROOM it was ice cold like it should be and that ac was set to a higher temp than room two so it clearly wasn’t working.
Room three was okay, no major issues except the patio door is broken. None of the rooms were what I would call clean and they have cockroaches. There is definitely drug deals going on in the rooms. My neighbor must have had 20 visitors in the course of our one day stay. The woman at the desk was extremely pleasant and did her best to help but the general manager was extremely rude in every interaction. It was cheap and available so I didn’t expect perfect but bugless, clean and without having to lug our stuff to 3 rooms would have been nice. I definitely could have done without the awful general manager as well.

I booked a room at the Days INN in Kamloops BC with a KING bed. Got to the room and the bed is a QUEEN. Went to the front desk. They say it is a KING. Measured it. 60" wide! A KING is 80" wide! The headboard is 89" wide, hmmm.... apparently a QUEEN bed is actually a KING bed in disguise! Oh, and by the way, the person at the desk is not exactly the nicest person I've met in the last few decades! Contacted PRICELINE immediately. They called the hotel - same story! Asked for a supervisor. They called -- again, no luck. Oh well. I guess they changed the size of a KING bed without anyone knowing it.; What poor customer service from Days INN and from PriceLine.

Horrible room! So dirty! Hoped to have a nice visit in Tampa for Yankees Spring Training. So disappointed and disgusted. Don't stay at the Days Inn near Ybor City! I unfortunately could not change hotels, so I was stuck. I had to go buy cleaning supplies and my own pillow and blanket. The smell was so horrible! When I returned home had to launder my clothes straight away. One bag has been trashed because I can't get the smell out. Horrible experience. To top it off the clerk would not honor my AARP discount. Steer clear!!!

I don't know if other Days Inns are similar, but the one off of I-65 Nashville, Trinity exit, should be shut down. I've stayed in some dumps, but nothing like this. Between the smell and filth, it was indescribable. Sink faucet wasn't even connected to sink. Had booked 3 days through Hotels.com, was supposed to have free cancellation. They told me I could have a refund for the third night, but then refused. If you book online, NEVER use the pay at motel option. I was afraid to use the shower. I guess it was a lesson learned.

I and my family went to Days Inn by Wyndham to lodge for two days. We booked two rooms. The receptionist there and her manager gave us a room they already sold out. When we opened the room, we saw a naked man with towel on his make. We started apologizing. We went to the other room and saw no fridge or microwave, someone already checked out from it and the room was not cleaned up. There was condom on the floor. We went down to complain and also request for a fridge, they called police on us and ordered us out with the help of police and refused to refund our money. Banks was notified and civil court will be filed for the money they stole.

The entrances to the rooms are on the outside. Outside on the sidewalk I was greeted by a big pile of dog poop. Upon entering the room the first thing I noticed was deep black gouges in the flooring. Second thing I noticed was the sticky black floor. Next thing I noticed was dust covered every surface of this room. There was black dust on the lampshades even on the light bulbs. A huge layer of dust and fingerprints all over the furniture in in the room. The nightstand was dirty and dusty and sticky fingerprints all over it. Credenza drawers pot or tobacco leaves in it and dead bugs. The stink had fingernail polish in it and hair. The refrigerator was lopsided and being stabilized by a prescription bottle cap. Mini refrigerator has old gooey food and it smells. There were no shelves in the refrigerator. The microwave? The microwave had gunk under the plate and the top of the microwave had splattered old food in it and it smells rancid.
Let's get to the bathroom. The bathroom floor was dirty and an had hair. I guess repairs to the bathtub are done by painting it. That was peeling up in huge chunks of about 10 inches across. The shower curtain what's disgusting there it was black mildew on the bottom of it that's disgusting. Toilet paper roll holders missing. The towels were shoved into a broken towel rack and were stained. The sheets on the bed.? On one bed it only had one sheet and no blanket. The other bed look like the pillowcases were blackened with whatever hair product. Cigarette Burns were on sheets and the blankets. The window unit in the room is so heavy with dust you can see it from the outside. There are holes all over the walls.
Went to turn a light on and the whole light fixture fell out hanging by the cords. Underneath the sink is black. It's black with old hair and dust and dirt. The clothes rack is non-existent. Two bars on the wall but no rack but they do have the holes where they used to be. I am a rewards member and pay FULL PRICE. For What? So I can clean someone else's neglect? This is NOT WHAT WYNDHAM wants to represent their company. Action needs to be taken in correcting this situation. I request my money back.

We paid extra for a (suite) to have an extra hide a bed in the couch only to find when we went to bed that the legs were broken off and the bed wouldn’t even fold out! We slept on the floor. The room was not cleaned or sanitized prior to us checking in even though we called ahead. When we addressed this with the hotel front desk they said they would let maintenance know. When I reached out to discuss the refund and problems with the room she stated that there was no record of my complaint of the room! She said it was my fault that the front desk failed to report to maintenance about our room! When requesting a full refund we were told they didn’t note it so there was nothing they could do! There is something we can do. Choose to never stay nor recommend this hotel and let all of our friends know not to patronize this substandard Wyndham hotel and circus.

I booked this stay with Hotels.com a few days before my trip. On the way to check-in, literally, as I was driving to the property, I received a call from a front desk staff named John. Rudely, I was told my room was cancelled and I needed to find another place to stay. The hotel overbooked and gave my room away. I was in Atlanta during a busy holiday weekend. John also rudely told me, he didn't know what I was going to do, but you can't stay here. I questioned my booking as it was guaranteed. I was not offered and options or help. This was infuriating as this was early evening and at the last minute I had to find another hotel.
Once I arrived back from my trip. I called and asked for a manager. I spoke with Porcha, who said I needed to contact hotel.com for my refund as I was charged. Hotels.com "says" they never got ahold of the hotel. I also left a message for the hotel. I then contacted Days Inn customer service and they gave me a confirmation number and told me someone would contact me in regards to the unfortunate situation. I should have known, no one was going to contact me. This is the worst customer I've ever experience in my life. Please stay away from Days Inn Kennesaw, Ga. I will NOT stay at another Days Inn by Wyndham. I am disgusted by their service and lack of help to resolve this matter. STAY AWAY from this property.

BED BUGS!! Days Inn in Washington, Pennsylvania. Do NOT stay at this hotel. Upon arrival we discovered bed bugs. We took pictures, reported it to the front desk, and requested a refund. The woman at the front desk said "ewww" and called her manager/owner. He instructed her to NOT give us a refund. She told us that they had a company that comes in every week to verify that there's no bed bugs. I asked for the name of the company or a phone number for them. She could not provide either. But said if we could even get a refund it wouldn't be until the "company" comes in.
I asked for the manager's contact information. She would not give it to me and not would not let me speak to me. She told me he would be in the next day. I called the hotel the next day, the manager was "unavailable". I asked for an email address, got a weird email with a bunch of numbers. I have yet to hear from the owner after I was told that he would contact me.
In addition to the biggest, obvious problem of bed bugs. There was leftover food in the fridge from the last person, dried urine on the bathroom floor, and the carpets were utterly disgusting. I asked if they would do anything about the bed bugs, if they were planning on letting anyone know, and if they were planning on booking that same room after we left to someone else. The front desk woman said they will operate as normal until this "company" (that she couldn't provide any proof actually exists) comes in NEXT WEEK. Meanwhile, everyone that stays here is at risk. We warned everyone we could on the way out. We just wanted a refund. Do the right thing, owner Vijay Patel.

This hotel was not what I expected at all. We were there for 3 nights and very disappointed. The internet was non existent and not a place for anyone who may have to work during their stay. At one point I was able to use an Xfinity Hot Spot but the hotel connection was totally ineffective and unstable. When we checked in we showered so after our first night we wanted to shower but no towels were available. When I tracked a Housekeeping cart down the girl told me she had no towels on her cart and that that they were being washed.
The last night we arrived back to our room at 10 pm to discover that our room had never been serviced and once again no towels. We called the front desk but no one answered the phone. After repeated attempts to call allowing the phone to ring 20 times still no answer. We had to check out early at about 8 am so when I went to the Front Desk to retrieve a luggage cart I was told there were none available after waiting 10 minutes for the girl to go retrieve one for me. It’s 100% completely not the same hotel in the photos. It’s dirty. Smells bad. Sinks are falling off the hinges. No microwave or fridge in the rooms. Sketchy people walking around. The staff is very rude and unprofessional.
I have stayed at plenty of hotels by Wyndham and never ever have I pulled in and immediately seen two police cars circling the lot. I am embarrassed I even had to stay a night. But it’s so late and I have a child I can’t be running around looking for another place, it’s 3:30 an and I can’t even sleep because I’m grossed out and so upset that I booked this place after looking at photos of something I would approve of. I will be leaving in the morning and if these people do not refund the rest of my money I’ll will definitely report them to my bank. Either way I’m reporting it on every sight I can so they can stop with the false advertising and using Wyndham to attract a better class of people. I would rather be in a Motel 6. They didn't smell smoke. They found a can I was using for the outside. I told them that but I'm lying to them. Didn't want to throw litter down. It's look good on the outside.
I'm homeless for the last 3 years. I slept outside for over a year on the ground and when I got blessed with cash I come here. Now they hate me. I don't cause no problems, and I'm very respectful. I overslept she charged me 25$ for that. Okay I understand, I'm disabled and homeless and you can tell by my look. I'm holding my pants up no belt. I forgot to buy one. I made reservations at this hotel through a third party on December 29, 2020, my checkout date was December 30,2020. Upon checking in I was told by the night clerk on duty that although the room had been paid for there would be an $100 hold placed on my card for incidentals and that the hold would be released on the day that I checked out. That morning of checkout, I was again told by the morning clerk that they would release the funds once the room had been checked and it would take 3-7 business days for the funds to be returned to my bank account. The clerk informed me that this would probably be done by 2pm est.
Once I returned home I contacted the hotel to see if my funds had been released, because my bank would be able to speed the process up if that had occurred. I was told by the clerk they had not been and they were waiting on the housekeeping supervisor to check the room. She then offered to give me a call back once the funds had been released. The clerk contacted me at 2:38 pm and said she had released the funds, I told her I was going to call my bank and that they may contact the hotel for an authorization code to release the funds earlier.
A representative from my bank and myself called the hotel on a conference call around 3:00 pm est. My bank representative informed the bank of who he was and from what institute he was calling from, he then proceeded to tell the male clerk that he would need an authorization code they use to release the funds so that he could place the funds back into my account. The clerk said he wasn't sure what code that was and that he needed to place us on hold.
After a brief hold a woman returned to the call, and we then explained to her what we were trying to accomplish. She came into the phone conversation irritated and said she had no idea what I was talking about. She said "Your card has been charged and you have to wait until the bank gets it, which won't be until 3 or 4 am." I said to her "Why is my card charged? This should just be a hold and if you give the bank representative the code my bank will place the funds back into my account quicker than the allotted time." She then says "It is not a hold. It is a charge and I already told you I don't know what you are talking about!" I asked her why she was so angry on the phone, she goes on to say that I am yelling at her. I tell her I am not yelling and that I am just trying to get the situation resolved. I told her my bank will move quicker if they give the information needed.
My bank representative says to her that she is able to give the code and that they would take it from there. She yells into the phone again that she doesn't know anything about a code or a release of my funds. I told her a clerk called me at 2:38 pm, she said " no one called you!" Knowing I was getting nowhere, I ask for her name, she says Debra. I ask her Debra and what is your last name? She said Debra General Manager! At this point I am embarrassed and disappointed at how I am being treated. I inform Debra that I will contact the corporate office and Debra says "I don't care, they can't do anything anyway!" We had made the reservations through Priceline, and due to an issue involving Covid and one of our parties being in the hospital in North Carolina on a trip we were unable to make a reservation in Savannah. All I wanted to do was change the reservation to this little town that we were in where my partner it was in the hospital overnight for observation. Priceline basically told us to get bent we spoke to Josh. I called the Days Inn Savannah and spoke to a Kiara who said she did ‘everything’ and she essentially told us there’s nothing she can do, we have to go through Priceline. I did explain to her that the gentleman from Priceline was very rude and that this was really an unforeseen medical situation but she was entirely unsympathetic and actually hung up on us a total of three times.
I then called or tried to call the corporate offices, good luck if you should ever try to do that. To say that the trip was unfortunate is an understatement. Especially now places like Days Inn that rely on customers to take risks with their health in order to use their facilities should certainly be more compassionate, and have better policies in place. I suppose if I had actually gone to the reservation with my Covid infected partner they probably wouldn’t of let us stay there then anyway. Honestly at every level it was a disgrace.

Upon checking in, I gave the front desk my debit card for incidentals. 10 minutes later I got a $40 charge on my card. When I inquired about it, they said that it was because they have a pet fee. Informed the guy that I have 2 support animals and I gave the front desk person my support animal registration during my check in. He said that it doesn't matter. I told him that I would just dispute the charge with my bank because it was unauthorized.
The only charges authorized were for probable incidentals (which there couldn't have been because I hadn't even walked in my room yet). He then told me I would have to leave if I didn't pay the fee and he threatened to call the police when I refused to leave because I already paid for my reservation. He already had the money because he deducted it off of my account without authorization. Anyways, I would not recommend this place because they have terrible customer service. Furthermore, if you require a support animal, you will be charged $20 per animal even if you have the proper documentation.

Room and bathroom were very dirty and it was stink if very bad that’s why my 5 month old baby and me got sick. Then we asked hotel person to refund at least one day but he didn’t. Because we have to leave hotel issues so that should have help us but they didn’t help us. Even I wrote many and call but no satisfactory reply. Got same email. I stayed at the Days Inn in Erie, PA, in June. I was given a room which was covered in many areas with a film of construction dust and the bathroom fixtures was stained in several places. When I requested to be moved, the next room I was given had its marble countertop in the main room broken completely across in two places, with a very large chunk of marble entirely missing! Several dresser drawers were missing. The nightstand had gooey gunk on top of it. I alerted the front desk but I did not want to move again. The management took several months to respond to my e-mailed complaint (with picture) to ask for a full refund; when I finally did get a response, I was haggled over the refund and was only able to get a partial refund. The hotel needs to drastically improve the quality of its rooms.

On Friday Oct 18 I went to Check in to The Days Inn on Carpenter Rd in Ypsilanti MI. My reservation was From Friday to Monday. The first issue arises the minute I walked through the door at around 6:00 pm. The manager told me “It’s a good thing that you just showed up because I was about to give your room away." Excuse me? I have a reservation. There are people willing to pay more for this room because it is a game weekend!“ Wow!! I feel that he gave me the worst room in this hotel intentionally. The room had only one working light! The bathroom was so disgusting I Had to purchase cleaning supplies and clean it myself before my family could use it. The floors were filthy! And the most disgusting thing happened when my two yr old niece came to me with a mouthful of SOMEONE'S HAIR!! I was SICK!!! My mother and I both have braids and the baby has little hair!
When I brought this to the manager's attention he never apologized! He simply said, "I’ll move you to room 148 once it’s clean." He gave me the keys and said housekeeping would notify me when the room was ready. I went back to the room with a migraine. Housekeep knocked at my door 7 times with broken English say “I clean you leave”. I did my best to explain I was waiting for room 148 to be cleaned and was told no! The 8th time I was disrupted was when a man walked right into my room without knocking!! He said he was there to get the trash!!! I was livid at this point!
I walked around the whole building to get to the office because I did not have a working phone in the room! I told a young man how I was being treated and he said “you are supposed to be in 148 now right?" So they were well aware of the situation. I explained that the room was still unclean at 2:00 in the afternoon!! I even showed him the pictures that I took of that still dirty room because the door was wide open! It was after 3:00 when I was told the room was now clean. The only good thing I Have to say is that the young man was polite. I left. Went out for a few hours after switching rooms. When I came back to turn on the lights THEY DID NOT WORK!!
Again I went to the desk because this time I did have a working phone but after trying to call for 15min I never got an answer. This man told me yet again to switch rooms now around the building and upstairs! (I have a disability) so yet another inconvenience! But he was polite. This room had working lights and was at least clean!
This morning I again tried to speak to the manager about the situation and was blown off!! Not an apology! But I was told to leave and that I was a liar!! I told him I had video and pictures and his response was a simple have a good day I’m done! WOW!!! I travel often! I stay at a range of establishments and I am always polite, considerate. This hotel was disgusting but the manager was rude! Arrogant and his behavior was disgusting!! I love Wyndham hotels and this should not be associated with Wyndham, Priceline, or any other site! They make you look bad.

Rude front desk. Lost reservation & wasn't interested in my confirmation documentation. Booking agent straightened it out with them. The room had a dirty bed skirt which prompted me to look closer to find blood stains and live bedbugs! Took a photo/video & ran out. Front desk seemed not to care but offered a "better" room without the "upcharge." The room wasn't better except the shower wall wasn't broken. I checked around the mattress of one of the beds only to find beetle & roach carcasses. My 8 year old daughter screamed, "Wasp!" There was a wasp just chilling on the ceiling. That was it.
I gave back my card & asked for a full refund. The front desk had the nerve to tell me she wasn't sure they could do that. I asked for a manager. There wasn't one there. I believe the booking agent got them to refund the charges. It took hours of standby & disconnected calls to find a room including the 4th. Finally found a hotel much further from the beach. They were very nice offering to dry our clothes that might have been contaminated by the Days Inn bedbugs in high heat. I despaired at midnight. It was now my birthday but I was still going through luggage checking for bedbugs. I cried. I still had to pay for the whole day I lost @ the Days Inn toward the new hotel even though it was midnight. Fortunately, everything got better from there. I'm a single mom who works VERY hard all year & just wanted to escape for a few days to the beach with my kid. Stay away from this Days Inn.

I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights, prepaid on Priceline for workers going to Fresno. I personally called the hotel to confirm everything and make sure workers had what they needed. Was advised they just needed $100 for an incidental deposit or credit card. We advised the head worker they would need to have $100 cash or a credit card for the two room, two night reservation to cover the deposit that would be refunded after the stay.
The men worked all day and in the evening went to check in to the rooms. They were then informed it was $100 per room ($200) and the hotel refused to let them check into the 2nd room as they only brought $100 and none of them had brought credit cards. It was a Bad experience but rather than call me late at night, they all spent the night in 1 crowded room as none of them had brought extra cash or cards for the short job. The next day they confirmed with hotel staff they would be checking into the 2nd room and bringing the additional deposit. (They called mid-day and confirmed everything and advised they would be back later that evening and the clerk said that would be fine.)
Well after a LONG day of work in the heat, they arrived around 9PM and went to get the 2nd room only to be told that they could not check in to the 2nd room. The 2nd room reservation was not honored/cancelled. They would need to pay for a new room and the $100 fee if they wanted a 2nd room. Again late at night... The hotel clerk would not budge, no manager to speak with. They called me, and I spoke to a young lady who said the manager was gone, nothing they could do except she would be happy to sell me another room.
I got off the phone - called Priceline where we booked the rooms. Priceline called her and she told Priceline the hotel was full, manager gone, room cancelled, nothing could be done. I checked on Priceline's website immediately after to confirm if they had sold out in the past 1/2 hour since talking to her. As I suspected, I could book rooms on Priceline for that evening - King, 2 Queens, all types of rooms were available for that night. Somewhere along the line, another communication breakdown...
The principal of this was had we of had the correct information in the first place, there would never of been an issue. Our worker in charge did NOT want that hotel to get another dime of our money due to their earlier treatment, so they toughed it out for the night all in one room. The next morning when checking out, the clerk went to inspect the room before allowing a check out, which seems odd, but after she took 10-15 minutes in the room she came back saying that A TOWEL of some type was missing and they had to pay $10 for the towel to check out. First of all, the worker has been with us 20 years and there has NEVER been any issues. Clearly it was a bogus claim, but he paid the fee and left. When I tried calling to get a refund for the 2 nights in the 2nd room due to the issues, I was told The HOTEL refused to do anything. (Again no manager to talk to or deal with, just the clerk.)
They stated since we did not check in the first night (due to the misinformation provided by them) we forfeited the room. Did not matter that we had called in advance to make sure we knew what was needed which is what we went by. Also did not matter that the 2nd day when the worker called he was assured all would be fine. Bottom line is I do understand that things can and do happen, but it is how you handle problems that makes the difference. This was clearly mishandled and then they added insult to injury with the bogus $10 towel charge. On the towel, it is not the money at all, but the insult of accusing a worker we have known for 20 years of stealing a towel was simply crazy.
As info, we book hotel rooms 60 to 80 days out of the year between workers and family and rarely ever have even minor issues, let alone dealing with this type of poor business practices. The most costly of this issue is time spent dealing with this frustration. This makes me want to make sure OTHERS are aware, so hopefully they can avoid having to deal with any similar frustrations. We understand they deal with lots of types of people, but we are straight up in our dealings. The way this was handled with the check-in and then adding the bogus towel charge was simply over the top. Days Inn... Never Again...

Once we made it to our rooms it was flat out dangerous. There were tack nails sticking out from the carpet that cut my foot and the lady at the desk didn’t care. The curtains were falling off the track and the bathroom had black mold growing in it. The sheets had weird stains and it smelled horrible. We were told that was all they had. No offer to fix anything. We honestly felt trapped.
After a rough night at the hotel we woke to the breakfast being there but no plates, no utensils nothing to eat the food with. The front desk advised they were out and there was nothing she could do. She returned to playing on her phone. The pool was supposed to open at a certain time and it didn’t open. All over just a bad experience with little to no customer care. After being in the room for awhile, my wife felt a bite on her leg and when she looked on the floor, we noticed fleas. We packed up as quickly as possible and I called the front desk for a new room.
We were given a room on the second floor. This room apparently was last updated in the 1970s. The door didn't fit right, there was no remote and at least two lamps had no light bulbs. The carpet appeared clean but there was a musty smell. When we checked out, I asked for a discount for the trauma of having been given a room infested with fleas. The manager offered me 5%. 5%?! Are you kidding me?! He said they would have to investigate my claim and, if verified, they would consider a bigger discount. I worked in hotels as night auditor for 8 years. This kind of experience would have earned a compensation. My recommendation for this hotel is that they tear it down and start over! It is that bad!

Our stay was the worst experience!!! We checked in early yesterday, July 1st and they have indicated to come back because room was not ready yet. Which is fine but when I came back exactly at 3 which is the check in time, receptionist said, room was not ready yet. I was perfectly okay with this as I understand it's a busy day at the same time it's a hot weather. Anyway, we were able to check in just before 330pm. My family and I planned to leave the hotel to go to Clifton Hill and enjoy the scenery, play and watch the fireworks.
When we came back, I hear security and my friend arguing because we are apparently being disrupted and security said the complain was our kids were jumping. Our kids were sleeping and we just got back from Clifton Hill. Wondering and wanted to get to the bottom of this I tried speaking to the security. Did not even hear me out as I heard was we have 5 minutes to leave the property and I was not aware that there was a first complain already. Despite the fact that I tried to have it all settled, none of the staff or even security looked for me, the one that booked the room to discuss this matter. My cousin and I went to the lobby and a receptionist on the night shift plus the security was yelling at me because they said that our kids were jumping and making noises and that is the complaint.
I have tried to explain that we just got back from Clifton Hill and our kids were asleep. Even the police was involved. Shut me down and basically it is what is, the security made the decision to have us leave the property in the middle of the night with a 2 and a 3 year old that was blamed for making noises but are asleep. Any parent that will be at this situation will be upset, will curse obviously especially if you know it was unfair and uncalled for. I have paid so much and additional charges has been applied and I am so upset as we had to drive back to Toronto not getting the refund obviously at midnight waking our kids who they said was jumping.
I was never spoken to from the staff and no manager was to be found to speak to! Basically the situation was dealt with unfairly and none of the staff or even the security looked for me. I have always booked a room in this hotel and this has been the worst experience and embarrassing. I felt so degraded, disrespected and unjustified. No matter what it should have been, I had the right to be heard but was not. The worst worst worst experience!

We stayed at the Fort Walton Beach, Florida destination on Saturday, April 28th 2018. During our stay it started with a very unpleasant experience with the employee at the front counter. He told me his name was Darron. Darron was extremely rude and "snappy" in nature during the entire check in process. At one point he snapped at my fiancé, which led to a verbal confrontation between him and me.
Once we finally got to our room (#221) we immediately noticed that the bathroom, counter and sink were issues. The toilet had urine splashes on the seat. The sink would not drain. The bathtub was extremely dirty with black stuff in the bottom. The walls in the bathroom were dirty, stained and appeared to have rust and/or mold. I have attached the photos of the room prior to use using any of these items. We chose not to report to the front desk because of the negative conflict with the desk tenant.
I did attempt to contact the property manager (from a card I picked up at the front desk while Darron and I were exchanging our displeasure with each other). When I called the number it was Darron that answered. I asked to speak to the person who was listed on the card and he laughed (sarcastically) and said he won't be back until tomorrow. I then decided to report this to you all directly.
Something really needs to be done with the place and this employee (Darron). I hate to know that people are trying to enjoy their vacations and they have your company and your employees doing all they can to ruin it. One would expect to have an enjoyable experience with great customer service and a clean room to stay in. Instead you provided poor customer service, unsanitary conditions and an overall bad experience.
Additionally, the argument was never over if or why my girlfriend had to come inside or not. The complaint was strictly about Darron's poor customer service skills, his smart mouth, snappy responses and disrespectful demeanor toward us. Neither you nor I would have wanted us to go back and interact with this Darron immediately upon finding these issues in the room (#221). We were both not happy, Darron had a smart mouth and that would have escalated quickly to a negative outcome that neither party would have liked. Days Inn then contacted us on 05/02/18 via email apologizing for the negative encounter and twisted the complaint to me having my girlfriend pay vs. me.
This was my response. There are more issues that have yet to be discussed or release that did occur during this encounter with Darron at Days Inn - Fort Walton Beach location on April 28th 2018. Darron actually yelled (snapped) at her when she asked if there was going to be a hold placed on her card. He yelled at her "No, I am running your card". Darron actually told us he was having a negative encounter with us. This occurred after he yelled at her and I made the statement "Do you have a lot of negative encounters?" In which he responded "Yes, I am actually having one now". This was done in an extremely negative demeanor, voice and pitch. We did call the number on the card picked up at the front desk to report these issues to the manager and Darron responded while laughing (facetious) "No, he will not be back until in the morning". He did not ask if there was a problem or anything, just simply what I just stated.

I recently booked a room at the Days Inn on Poole Street in Gulfport Ms. Upon arriving at the location, I quickly noticed the hotel was NOT the hotel in the photos on the Days Inn website that indicated the exact address. The hotel was in extremely poor and unsafe conditions. The rooms were filthy and smelled horrible, holes in the bathtub, the door handle to the room was broken along with the entire set of rooms along that 2nd floor level, the adjoining door to the room next to mine had been broken into and the lock had been broken and not fixed, the eating breakfast area was IN THE LOBBY of the hotel where you check in and had old piles of food left for what must have been for days.
I immediately asked the front desk attendant to cancel my reservations due to the conditions of the hotel as to which I was refused and told there was no manager on duty to make that call or take my complaints. However, I saw what turned out to be the manager behind a closed door adjoining the hotel lobby. I was approached by a drug dealer on the way to my vehicle to get my bags as I was told I had already been charged prior to my arrival. Days Inn IS A PAY UPON ARRIVAL policy hotel. These people ran my credit card at 4:00 PM to charge me the first nights stay and stated they assumed I was a no show. I arrived there at 5 PM on the first afternoon of my reservation. I never indicated a specific time a arrival when I booked the rooms.
They also had 2 other couples leave the hotel due to the same reasons I didn't wish to stay there and they were also told they would not be issued a refund. The attendant was very unwilling to help me and stated she would not refund my 2 nights that I was charged and that I was free to leave without a refund. I am now disputing the charges through my bank. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled and how I was taken advantage of by Days Inn and Wyndham Group as no one was willing to resolve this problem or offer a resolution. All I wanted to do was transfer my reservation to a safe and clean Wyndham Group Hotel in the area for my weekend getaway. This was a total nightmare! NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL. Our visit to Days Inn Jamaica was awful, left us ill, and worse. Yet despite talking to customer service of both Days Inn and of Wyndham Hotels (the parent company), no one has shown any real concern for our experience. There were three different problems at the hotel: First, the 'free' shuttle took almost 2 hours to get us. It took so long, even shuttle drivers from other hotels felt sorry for us and tried calling in to Days Inn to find our ride. Days Inn is incompetent; they do not seem to be connected to the airport Kiosk Days Inn dedicated phone, just before you come out to the pickup area, that contacts the hotel shuttles. This is all made worse by my heart condition; being left out in humid, sweltering heat was hard on me and would stress anyone with cardiac or health issues. Someone could get seriously ill from being left out in such heat; we both felt sick the entire evening.
Secondly, the bed was not good. We slept poorly, and the pillows were strange - they had only these smaller, square-shaped pillows. That was frustrating. Thirdly, and worse for my wife, was the bathroom floor - which was dangerously slippery. Please realize, we travel a lot, so we do know the difference. This floor was not normal, it was *very* slick. Their maid service clearly used the wrong cleaner, maybe trying too hard to make the floor look shinier? At the time of our stay, my wife was recovering from a broken foot, so we were very aware and worried about this shiny slick floor. What if someone were to fall down, or get seriously injured in a Days Inn or Wyndham, because of problems like this? We feel that if that happens, we hope their lawyers see this review. Also, it's hard for me to believe that we are the first to have these experiences at Days Inn, and therefore - if it happens again - that would show a pattern of negligence.
After the trip we talked to Days Inn Customer Service, found no help so we also talked to Wyndham Customer service - yet neither one has any real sympathy. No one there seems to understand how unhappy we were, and thus very little effort was made on our behalf. Therefore, these are poor customer service organizations, and we are recommending people avoid BOTH Days Inn, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
This was our one-year wedding anniversary trip. We expected a lot more. We were able to recover after that, and enjoy the trip - but it was an unnecessarily difficult start. Even Wyndham senior staff (meaning VP's, & above, contacted on LinkedIn) do not seem to really understand how we feel. In summary let me say that we strongly urge people to avoid any Days Inn, and Wyndham as well - because if customer service is not good in a hotel, if you don't see some concern and some action (both to fix the problems, and to make it right with the consumer) - then you should not stay there.

Contacted Days Inn customer care about my issue, the representative then contacted the motel & belligerently yelled at by the attendant. I was charged for one night regardless for which I was told would be refund for my troubles by a customer care rep from Wyndham. Nearly 2 weeks have passed & I've yet to be recompensated for my loss! They came to my door this morning told us to leave and fined us $100. I thought the hotels were ordered to lift pet policy. With all we have been through and being displaced for a period of time they caused undue stress on our finances to stay in a hotel longer. We cannot go home as of now. I would like to file a formal complaint. If possible I would appreciate a reply. Thank You.

We got to the room and there was dust, mold in the corners, bathroom paper holder was falling out of the wall, drywall was peeling over the lights in the bathroom, stains on the furniture just to start. We needed to be at the hospital for my wife to have surgery at 6:00 am. I got up at 5:30 to take a shower and there was NO hot water. I went to the desk and they knew the night before that there was a problem yet let me check in. After reading the reviews I saw on reservation counter I thought it should be fine. Tonight I read lots of reviews on Madison Heights and corporate reviews that this is a common problem with Days Inns across the country. I will NEVER stay in another Days Inn and believe me everyone I know and more will find out how filthy they are.

My husband and I choose the Days Inn in Copiague NY on August 22, 2017 for the night based on our past experiences and the promises in advertising by the company assuring us of the reliable, clean services they have branded themself to be. I paid good money for the night even though there were cheaper motels in the area because of their well known name and assurance of providing a clean safe environment. When we checked into a no smoking room (we were told) we were automatically disgusted by the state of the room. There were dirty cigarette burns on EVERYTHING! The burns were all over bedspread, the ice bucket had black burns all inside of it and the tray to bring food in if you needed to was also covered in black burn marks! There was an ash tray in the no smoking room though it was obvious none ever used it!
The room was so run down and the things I mentioned above were absolutely unusable! Being my husband had recent surgery and we stopped for the night due to that fact and him needing to rest, we had to stay put. That was just the beginning. The room next door had no windows at all and I now know why. The amount of action that room saw kept us up all night. Every hour another car would pull up and a man would get out, enter the room and stay for a short visit. It wasn’t the only room that saw action. It seems like at least half of the rooms were used for the same purpose. When a man pulled up and let out a much younger women and waited in the parking lot for her to finish whatever, I of course became concerned. Who wouldn't be? I’ll tell you who. The owner of the hotel who said they choose that life so he didn't feel bad. Was it chosen? Who? The question is Why do the owners turn a blind eye?
It’s not like they are going bust! They don't even replace the ice bucket and the tray with the Days Inn name on it. That I’m sure costs less than 2 dollars each! They also aren't losing: money on the breakfast! Besides being the bare minimum they can get away with I was told when things were empty that they are forced to put out less because some take too much and don't finish it. Why I have to put up with this after being a pretty good customer to other Days Inns and paid for something promised I never received! They could rectify the damage by making it.

This is by far the most budget hotel I have ever stayed in Lacey, WA. I recently stayed for a week, and I really got to suck in all of the penny-pinching goodness. I came here with my daughter, wife, and mother and stayed in two separate rooms. The first day I requested a pack-and-play to let my daughter sleep in during our stay since she is up and mobile. That night when I set it up, the thing collapsed! So, I went up to the front desk and no one is to be found. I wait a few moments and check the security cameras (I'll get to this) for the somebody that works there and there was nothing. So I go back to my room and make a fort on the other bed for my daughter to sleep in until the next day.
I tell the front desk attendant and she is unsurprised. Eventually, I take all four pack-and-plays the hotel supplied back to my room, one at a time. I test it, it collapses. I return it. Rinse and repeat. Until eventually the attendant tells me that I'm out of luck. Well, I then request two broom sticks to secure the one pack-and-play that had two working arms and two inoperable arms. So my daughter slept in that for a week. The front desk is unmanned for lengthy periods. I walked up one day to get my key re-magnetized (I'll get to this too!). There was a lady standing there already, and she mentioned that she had already been waiting there for fifteen minutes. We waited together there for another ten, so she stood there for nearly half an hour to check in!
Speaking of the next morning, even though I am a paying customer I am not allowed to bring food from the high-dollar continental breakfast back to my sleeping daughter and wife! By high-dollar, I mean the most budget-friendly spread of impressively small bagels and stale cereal along with the other usual staples of a 'dry continental breakfast'. I'll revisit this impressive security system. The front desk gives a full view of every security camera in the hotel. So anyone, including people that aren't staying in the hotel and just hanging out in the lobby, get to see any dead spots the hotel security might have. This coupled with the front desk being unmanned a majority of the time is a recipe for disaster.
There is such a thing as 'security through ambiguity'. All it takes is someone with a cell phone to take a quick picture and the entire hotel security is compromised. Also the hotel ceilings are low and the cameras are placed right in the middle of the hallways. So being 6 foot, my hair grazed across the bottom of a security camera. I feel sorry for any 6'2" or taller people! Some other not-serious or not-as-serious but honorable mentions: Both washers are broken on the first floor, and cost a dollar per load. Found auxiliary doors leading outside that had napkins stuffed into the locking mechanism so it didn't lock. Soda machine was broken and stealing change, staff was told by both my wife and my mom, and not labeled broken until our third day there.
The trash can outside the front door was constantly full with different trash. So try a bigger trash can! Getting key re-magnetized was quick when staff was at the front desk, however I had to get it re-magnetized daily + for a week. Staffers I didn't recognize re-magnetized my key without verifying my identity on multiple occasions. Then one lady verified my identity every time (which is good security). In conclusion, I won't be returning and unfortunately this is a great horror story to share with friends!

I booked it and we checked in and went to our room and the first things I noticed wrong were the old curtains, dirty smelly old carpet and the outdated fixtures, lamps and furniture. It's like this place hasn't been updated since the 80s. There was also a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke; especially when the AC was on. Housekeeping apparently only gave us fresh towels, made our bed with the same sheets and emptied the trash cans. They didn't clean the bathroom, the furniture and they poorly vacuumed the dirty carpet. The person at the front desk was dry and unwelcoming. I will not be staying at this hotel my next visit to Metro Detroit.

The experience here at the motel was awful. There was an ant infestation. Nothing was readily available, rooms were not playing properly. The doors on both rooms after being moved from one to another were not stable, the locks were loose, refrigerator wasn't clean with food still left in it, freezer had a mountain of ice where you couldn't put anything in it. The beds were lopsided. All the toiletries and linings were not available. When asked for toiletries they couldn't find them. Seems as if pieces of the ceiling was falling on the floor. Most awful experience I have ever had. To add insult to injury this Days Inn is right off of the shore.
With that being said this should be a tip top Motel. Very very very disappointed especially for the rates that was pay nightly. Spoke with staff, they did their best but this was just awful. The room had roaches crawling everywhere with a leaking air condition unit. Roaches was under the lamp shades, on the TV, the dresser, crawling down the walls, looking at me like, "(Why are you in our room)."
I went downstairs and told the clerk the room was roach infested and "move me now." She gave me another room which was a little better. I checked for roaches and bed bugs. At this point I was tired so I went to bed. The next morning I showed the photos and videos to the manager and she wasn't surprised. We went down to the front desk to see what could be done.He asked us, "How bad is it, because that is the last room". AS if he thought we would stay in the room in that condition. Little did we know that the entire city was fully booked. I called every single hotel in the town. So the front desk clerk took 2 sets of bed sheets up to the room, not the cleaning cart to change the bed sheets. He realized that he needed more, so he came back down to collect the cleaning cart, then came back down to find different sheets because the ones he took up were stained. He had to return another time to grab another sheet because of stains.
I should have ran. I know, but we had no choice. When we finally got to the room, still smelly and with toothpaste stains in the sink and hairs all over the bathroom floor. It was 2:30 in the morning. They only had hand towels available. In the morning when I asked for regular towels, housekeeping said that none of the housekeeping carts had towels on them. WTH?? In the morning, the laundry carts going by on the cement sidewalks outside sound like a plane is taking off. But all of that wasn't the worst part!!! The worst part is I emailed both the General Manager and Front Office/Sales Manager and they never responded to me!! So I doubled checked the emails which were correct and sent a second email just to be sure and still no response!!! This absolutely blows me away.
I was in Hotel Management for 12 years of my life and am very sympathetic to the hotel world and I if I have any major issues with hotels, I always give them the opportunity to fix it. It's the right thing to do. And I am honestly not hard to please, I don't raise a fuss often but this room was ridiculous ladies and gentleman. DO NOT STAY HERE. The fact that a General Manager of the hotel and the Sales Manger of a hotel won't even respond to my emails blows me away. I have never heard of hotel management treating guests like this.
I guess this is the world we are in today but we can all do something about these businesses that are not out for guests anymore, we can stop giving them our business! This is a genuine response of an encounter I had. I'm not out to get anybody. It was important enough for me to take the time out of my day to write this response so people in the future don't have to make the same mistake that I made. I hope this helps someone out there who is on the fence about staying here. Don't!

Went to take a shower and there was a spider in the bathtub, washed down the drain and he was back in the morning, then we killed it. After spending a full day with family we got back to the hotel close to midnight, went to the front desk to see about extending stay one more day. There was two customers in front of us. The lady that was checking in was paying for cash for her room, had to fill out a lot of paperwork and then she got her room and left.
The man in front of us that was in line was also paying for cash for his room. He wasn't required to fill out any paperwork for his room. He told the manager it was a room for two people, he came in with another man. The guy that was paying cash for the room was all bling out in gold chains, rubies, and diamonds bracelets. Scary and very unsavory looking character, (we saw the two guys get out of their car and go into the hotel) after given his key and left for his room my sister asked the manager if he knew he was a Pimp and the manager said yes but he was a paying customer.
After concluding our business with the manager went up to our room and noticed outside the window that that same two men was escorting a young lady up to the room across from our hotel room. Curious to see what was going on we watch them for several hours. The girl would leave and come back several times and then a new girl came and she would do the same thing. There was quite the ruckus going on in the room above us all night long. The next night they were there again but we did see them check in we just saw the same activity going on. Went to check in at the Lancaster, PA 1492 Lititz Pike on March 25. Come to find out they overbooked the hotel and the rooms I paid for were given away. I waited for an hour a manager to come, that was suppose to come in 5 minutes to get an answer to if they can find a room at another location OR to make sure my money to be refunded in full. I then asked could I speak with someone else. The front desk clerk asked the "supervisor" to come speak with me. She decided to speak to me from her back office. She tells me she's trying to find rooms but I watched her for 30 minutes laughing and joking. When I disputed that since she was in clear view the entire time, the "supervisor" tells me with my attitude I'm lucky to get anything. As I was leaving her well wishes was for me to get in an accident. This is how paying customers are treated when the hotel is at fault. I will be going to social media to make sure everyone is aware of how I was treated.

On March 10, 2017 we arrived at Days inn 5858 international Drive, Orlando FL, 328. We check in me and my husband and some family members which the agent was very rude at check-in that was a red flag. We got our keys, went up to room 283 2nd floor, put the air on and the rooms was not call down to the desk to complain. They said they would send someone, no one came, call again. It was 2 am. He said we can move if they had another room. Mind you we had to be somewhere at 6 am.
So we stay out all day, got back to the room. It was still not call down to the desk, spoke to a nasty customer service lady. She said it's nothing she can do for us in such a rule and nasty way. I asked her name. She said she don't have one so me and my husband went down stairs from the front desk, got down there and began talking. These lady were so nasty and ruled their call the cops after. They were out order to us call us names like ** and had the nerve to tell us to get out the hotel when all they had to do is fix the problem. The cops agree with them because of Florida rules which stinks gangway.
The hotel was dirty, the room smell like dogs. We were itching so I was glad to get out of there. Besides I don't think anyone should be treated like this. If you have a bad day then stay home. We ask both of them for the names. They both stated they don't have a name. They give us the wrong address. They give us 1800 international drive like we were so dumb just like they said they didn't have a name but one name was **. The other cover her badge but her name started with and m. She was a blond skinny lady with and earring in her nose, very rude, a nasty. I WOULD NEVER EVER GO TO A DAYS INN AGAIN IN MY LIFE.

She went to the front desk and was told that they couldn't do anything about the laundry room and told her that she was to walk to the laundromat a short distance away from there in the dark. She was not too happy with that but they needed to be dry before going back to the airport so she walked to there and she said that when me and her get back home she will be calling the manager and complain.

I began to stay at Days Inn on 12/05/2016 and stayed until 02/10/2017. There was no break in my stay, as they lied and told PayPal. I stayed each week without checking out. My daughter and I stayed in a room with two beds. There were roaches in the room and I began to get bitten by something, but when their maintenance person came and looked at my bed, he saw nothing. A few days later, I was lying across the bed and something moving on one of my pillows caught my attention. I sat up and looked at it and discovered it was a good sized bed bug. My daughter walked the whole pillow up to the front desk. They were very nonchalant about it, but moved us to the room next door.
The room next door was dirty and there were a lot of roaches. My daughter woke up with one in bed with her one morning. There was a water leak in the bathroom from the toilet above us spilling over and the ceiling was soiled. Once the first room was chemically treated, we moved back into the first room. There was always someone arguing in the hall using profanity and banging on the doors ready to fight. It was very discouraging. My daughter and I were not happy and she moved out. I moved into a one bedroom. There were still roaches and the ceiling had mold in the bathroom, so I began to look for another place to stay.
The people that worked the front desk were nice, but I noticed that my account began to take a hit with charges that I hadn't authorized. There were two at first, one for $50.00 and a second for $45.00. I used my PayPal account to pay for the room each week because of the invoice setup that they have. I went up to the office and asked the head clerk why my account was being charged the $95 and when he didn't give me a good answer, I called PayPal and had them cancelled. Then, there were two other transactions that were denied by PayPal that I didn't even know about.
I always paid each Friday for the upcoming week while I stayed there. In viewing my account, you can easily see each time I paid. On 01/20/2017 I paid just like every week. What I did notice was that my account was under-charged by $50 one week and overcharged the next by $50.00. I could see where they were making up the difference, but it made no sense to me why I wasn't being fully charged. I checked out of the hotel and moved to another one on 02/10/2017. That same day, they charged my account $315.00. This payment was supposed to be taken out on the 02/23/2017, but I didn't even notice that until 02/10/2017 (This is the payment I made on the twentieth).
I want to know why they waited so late to take this payment. By taking it out three weeks later, it threw my whole account off and I'm still not sure why they held it like that. My account is now in the red more than $250. This is frustrating and no payment should be held out for any reason when people are paying. I trusted Days Inn to keep up with their accounting, not inconvenience me. I have my receipts, but I have not scanned them into this complaint, but will gladly forward them to someone if necessary.

But I traveled from the 4th to the 7th alone on the little getaway to relieve stress & the first day there I found a roach. 2nd day I wasn't there all day. Came back only just to go to sleep.
All these days here I felt something biting me. Come to find out there was bedbugs on my bed next to my pillow. I record this, took pictures, went to complain at the office & they gave me the number to call manager. So now they stated they need to do their own investigation. It will take 48hrs. Like really Days Inn. Shame on you. Pictures & videos don't lie. This is the most disgusting hotel ever. That was my first time there. My last time there. I want the money I paid for this room. I could not give a zero star because my review wouldn't be accepted. However, this hotel should NOT be in business. I stayed in this hotel for only one night on 12/29/16 on my way to a trip overseas. I suffer from acute asthma and bronchitis and I am HIGHLY allergic to mildew and mold. The rooms have a PUNGENT and VERY STRONG smell of mildew and mold. I couldn't sleep all night long. I ended up with a horrible asthma and bronchitis attack which is lasting until this date (02/06/17). I ended up in the ER of a hospital, I am taking steroids for asthma, antibiotics for my bronchitis, another asthma medication, doing inhalation with steroids, and using my pump. I've been sick for 40 days already.
I have written to Wyndham (apparently this hotel is part of the chain) and Wyndham told me to deal with the situation directly with Days Inn & Suites, Humble, TX which I did. I've written 3 (three) emails and so far I never got a response from them. I AM DISGUSTED by this behavior on the part of the management for this hotel. This hotel should NEVER NEVER EVER be in business until they clean up the rooms from these smells. People with asthma, bronchitis and COPD could die staying there! I paid almost $68/night to get sick and so far my out of pocket expenses have exceed $300 in addition to losing days work. And ABOVE ALL my health is currently in jeopardy!

Showers handle continued to turn, other people hair, hole in the wall.
AC unit doesn't work. Garbage everywhere. Mold around the toilet. Mold around the shower (inside) and (outer). Mold on the shower curtain. After I reported this to Corporate office they had the General Manager call me and she is telling me "We have 2 employees verify after housekeeping turns in the paperwork to do a double check and they all come back saying it's done." "I have verified some and they are all fine." Fire them all, including the owner.

We arrived at 11 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016 and checked-in to the Days Inn Lakeview at Mackinaw City, MI. Upon carrying suitcases up the side stairway, I noticed a warped and soft step. This was just the first bad step of a very negative experience… We picked Days Inn Lakeview, Mackinaw City, Michigan from a variety of website hotel ads and a AAA book. We wanted to stay on a beachfront hotel to enjoy the beach and lake for a special family vacation. We had booked two rooms that night and had four rooms booked for the following night.
The ad on the website mackinawcity.com for Days Inn Lakeview and in the AAA travel books show the hotel on a light tan beach looking site that runs from the hotel to the lake. In the ad in AAA, it says "a half mile of Private Sandy Beach" The hotel actually sits on a site with a gravel and grass parking lot in between the hotel and the lake. Our main reason for booking this hotel was based on the photo and description of the hotel. The photo and the descriptions in the advertisements are not correct - the photo must have been "photoshopped" and the description is misleading.
Our family had two hotel rooms for August 19th both of which had major maintenance issues. Here is what we experienced… Room #228… No outlets that worked to charge 3 devices. Wall outlet broken. Ceiling light of bathroom hanging off ceiling. Shower control handle broken with large chunk out of it. Molding broken and missing by slider. Molding at ceiling hanging. No Do Not Disturb sign for door. Room #229… Upon check-in hot, muggy and could not get A/C on. Hair dryer holder broken and hair dryer laying on sink area. No toilet paper holder - screws & metal in wall, roll just sitting on back of toilet. Shower not workable - control unit unable to pull out to turn on. Wash basin has no stopper - can’t hold water. No trim under window, drywall showing. No hotel information/phone number book.
Main hotel area trash overflowing in container, steps filthy, dead flowers in flower boxes. Breakfast area - filthy carpet not swept by counters or wall, OJ and eggs both tasted bad, wanted to listen to news/weather - worker singing out loud throughout our breakfast. Not only were these conditions terrible but what made the experience worse was when we asked for the General Manager early Saturday morning to talk about the concerns and ask to cancel the next nights due to the conditions. She definitely was the worst representative I have ever met and I have been in management and customer service for over 30 years.
We explained the situation - that there were numerous problems with our rooms and that the hotel was definitely not on a beach, as depicted in the website photo. We said due to this we would like to cancel the four rooms we had for Saturday night due to the maintenance problems and misrepresentation of a beach. We asked that we not be charged a cancellation fee. She not only did not want to hear our concerns or what was the issues with the rooms... Quickly snapping “I’ll send maintenance up. He’ll handle everything”. We tried to explain that they were not quick fixes. I asked if she didn’t want to know what they were. “No, you go over that with maintenance”… Hmm this is my vacation and I have to go over items with maintenance. Yes, that is what we did with the maintenance as he was in the rooms for over an hour. The maintenance guy kept saying “Oh my” when we showed him the problems.
When we mentioned the step that is warped and possibly a future injury liability problem he stated he never uses those steps. He preceded to change wall outlet shocking himself. He said he would have to get a plumber and didn’t know when that would be for the shower and sink issues. Of course, he would have to go to a hardware store to repair molding issues, hair dryer and toilet paper holder issues.
The manager never said “I’m sorry” or showed any concern that the rooms were not up to standard. She stated that she will be charging the $50 per room plus tax cancellation fee. $220 in total. I asked if it is not worth it for $200 not to have upset customers that will review the hotel badly. She immediately very harshly said “okay, if you are going to review us then I am charging the full room night charge for each room on your mother’s credit card right now!” We could not believe what we were hearing.
My mother getting very upset. (This was a special and maybe last trip that she will go on with her family.) She wanted to speak and explain that she tried to call the front desk late last night since the A/C was not working and it was very hot in her room. She then wanted to take a shower to cool off but it didn’t work. She couldn’t even put water in the sink basin to wash off. She said she tried to find a number to call but couldn’t (no book in her room).
The response to these concerns by the manager was that this 93 year old who walks with a cane should have come down to the front desk at 11:30 p.m. and told someone. Really?! No apology or concern by the general manager. We decided all we wanted was to get out of there and quick! We did not have a chance to use the indoor pool or walk on the parking lot by the lake. We never saw a heated outdoor pool, fitness facility or told about unlimited access to 3 indoor waterparks that is mentioned in the AAA Tour book advertisement. I do not believe they have an outdoor pool or fitness facility as mentioned in the advertisement. We were charged the $222 and could not get this off our credit card billing.
The general manager lied about us booking "lake view rooms vs. lakefront rooms" and threatened us into signing for the cancellation fee. NO consumer should have to pay a cancellation fee for rooms that are not maintained, items unusable and in a hotel that is filthy. Let alone being deceived by the advertisement. Consumers should be aware of this hotel especially when paying $133 a night!

We had long since sleeping and this call woke us all. Upon check out I wanted to use my debit card and have my cc refunded. No. Not company policy. Thanksgiving evening 2016. My husband and I decided to stay in StL MO instead of driving home. I rented a room through hotels.com. It was 83.00, paid online for a room at Days Inn on Craig rd in Maryland Heights, MO. We checked in around 10 pm. I was mortified by the filth. I spent the next couple hrs trying to photograph and contact Days Inn to complain instead of relaxing. We stripped the bed down and used emergency blankets we carry in our trunk. They were way cleaner than what was on the bed or the pullout couch. It actually had just been folded up with visibly dirty sheets pocket change and Cheetos.
We used the pitiful excuse for towels and wash cloths to wipe tables to store my purse clothes etc because the floor wasn't an option. The wifi wouldn't connect, couldn't shower after feeling so dirty because it was gross and not enough towels. Was up 'til probably 3:30 am before finally falling asleep. I slept with my slippers on, didn't want to forget and walk on carpet, wow. Left Friday morning, checked my bank acct. and was charged 83 for the room and an additional 73.00 for incidentals??? The man told me I could not get it sent back to me because he could not take my credit card and address information (which he already had because I paid to stay there). So I had to order a prelabel to send to them so they could return my bag after a long complicated process. After 2 weeks I received an empty makeup bag with all of my things missing. I had 200 dollars worth of stuff on my bag and I am extremely disappointed in whoever stole it and the customer service I received. When I called to complain, nothing added up and said they should have been able to send it to me days later and that whoever I was talking with did not follow their return lost items policy.
Everyone kept saying there was nothing they could do to help throughout the whole process and did not value me as a customer at all. I DO NOT recommend staying at a Days Inn after my experiences there. I do not normally make complaints about people, but this was the worst I have ever been treated. I understand that I forgot something and that is my fault, but if you want to succeed as a company you must treat the people paying for your services with respect and care. I received neither of those things from Days Inn.

My father and myself stayed in a total of 7 different Days Inns on our 2 week vacation. On Sept 30, 2016 we stayed at a Days Inn in Forest City, Arkansas. We thought this one was nice because it had a restaurant attach and a 5.00 off coupon for each of our breakfast. The rooms were nice. At 7.00 am we went to breakfast. I had left my phone in the room to charge, we hadn't checked out yet, after breakfast I went back to retrieve my phone. I entered my room only to find my phone was gone along with my charger. I immediately ran back to the check in desk and reported it. The young clerk said to me, "Well no one went into your room". Which was repeated to me over and over again throughout the 7 hrs we waited for the manager to arrive to show us the video footage of who went into my room.
I called the police filed a report. While the police officer was there he and I and my father went back to my room. For some reason the maid followed us back there??? I gave the officer my info on what my phone cost and what the description of it. And the maid was down on the floor looking around on the floor again?? The officer left. Nothing left to do but wait for the manager at this point, so we did. Within about an hour, while standing outside my room, the hotel clerk walks up to me and hands me my phone and again says, "See no one was in your room". I immediately looked at it and saw on the screen my sims card and sd card were gone. I asked, "Where did you find it?" She replied, an elderly couple found it in the parking lot. When asked what and who they were, she didn't know. Hmmm right. I had to borrow my fathers phone and cancel all my credit cards banking account were locked and sims card canceled.
I then waiting with my elderly father in the lobby for 7 hrs for the manager to show up (I'm sure if the place was being robbed the manager wouldn't take 7 hrs to show up). While we waited we weren't even offered a glass of water. Upon arrival of the manager we call the police officer back. The footage showed the off duty maintenance man and that damn maid near my door just after 7 am while were at breakfast... Hmm? No one else! Also it shows no one turned in my phone to the desk clerk. I have tried calling the Days Inn several times to talk to the manager. Funny he's never there. When returning home my Father had a package delivered to his home return address was Days Inn Forest City Arkansas. It wasn't even address to his correct name and the police report was in my name.
Inside was my original sms card verified by my provider and a charger that was not mine. My SD card was not returned. Which had memories of my Mother just before she passed away in late April. The last photo I took of my Mother is on that card along with our Vacation photos together. My Father isn't going to be around forever and I want those memories in those photos. I called corporate office, reported our experience. They said they'd call me back. Almost 3 weeks and have heard from no one as of yet. We stayed in 7 Days Inns 2 rooms and sometimes 2 nights. It started out at 74.00 and by the time I was done it was 90... and I finally gave her 100 dollar bill and asked her about roaches and bed bugs and she said "no, no bugs". Well I had to ask her for my change, and then she asked for my bank card. I said "for what", she said in case we destroy the room!
Really have you seen their rooms? Well I told her that nothing better be charged to my card and she said "nooo". OK so we finally got to the room and the sink, toilet is stopped up, the air conditioning is a window unit setting on the floor. So mind you the floor is wet, my sister stepped in that mess... bugs in bathroom, couldn't watch TV it was so snowy... so I would like a refund. I sit in a chair all night... and we only stayed because my mom is 90 and was getting tired... or I would have moved her right out of there. They should be ashamed to give this kind of service. Will never stay at another Days Inn... almost all hotels are owned by foreigners now and we have to eat their **. Didn't give me a receipt... but the room was 130 and the date was the 24th of Sept 2016.

Im checked in on Sept. 9th – Sept. 11th and when I went to sleep the whole night I found myself scratching all night. So when I checked myself Sat night and I see little bites on me first I thought they were mosquitoes because we left the balcony door open for a little bit on Sat morning but when Sun morning came I knew they were not mosquito’s bites. They were bed bug bites. We told management but they said a manager will call us. And here it is Sept 25th. No call. I have pics to prove my allegations and also a pic of bugs on our towel. My husband is an exterminator. We checked the mattress and it was infested!!! We appreciate some feed back!!!

We arrived at the Days Inn in Eau Claire WI at 22:00 on September 10 2016. Paid for the room by credit card. When we arrived back home and checked the card statement on Monday September 12 we found we were charged twice for the room. We tried to contact the hotel directly by phone and were told the manager would call us back. We are still waiting for that call. We tried to email their head office to which we received a confirmation email saying they did receive it and would get back to us in 3 business days. It has now been 11 days without a response.

This hotel from the time me and my boyfriend got there was disgusting. Smelled of urine and like a old mop or something had been used. We checked in and had room 328. So as we got into the room and put our things down I was afraid to even sleep there. While in the room there was a tile in the ceiling that looked as if it had water damage. Next to that on the wall it looked like there was some kind of perspiration coming from the vents. They could've wiped it up or something. The comforter for the bed had burn cigarette holes. The complimentary breakfast was a joke. In the bread container they had bread, muffins, bagels and frozen waffles. Yes frozen waffles. I was so shocked to see that. Never again will this be a place I come too. Never again!!!

Very dissatisfied with a maid here at Days Inn in Aiken SC. She would enter your room right after she knocked not giving you time to answer the door. After verbally telling her to "Please stop doing that" she would wait until I left to enter my room to turn my ac off, leave my curtain open for others to see inside my room and God only knows what else she was doing in my room. This is the first and pray the last bad experience I will encounter with Days Inn.

Customer service was great. The price for the use we had was wonderful. Lots of eating establishments within walking distance. Was great all together. It will be a very useful choice for families to ball teams to stay. Plenty of food choices that are great values and thick enough walls that next door neighbors won't be a bother.

There was no service at all. Did not even leave the room but to keep looking out to make sure our truck and RV was safe. Place is a DUMP. Unsatisfactory. You have people coming up to you asking for money and hanging around the parking lot, trash all over and the parking lot is not taken care of, needs repaved - This place needs to be closed down.

Horrible... from the moment we got there. A line of people complaining. And the female Manager ran away crying. They put us in a room by the pool and workout room. And the banquet room were right around the corner. And the noise from the banquet room people in the hallways. We ask twice to change our room. No rooms left.
So we told her we are leaving... after staying one night. And got billed for 2 night. And the bartender tried to double bill us also. Ordered 2 beers. Paid cash. When back for a second round ordered 3 beers ($5.00 a bottle). She charged $27.00. I said "it's $5 a bottle". "Yea" she says "you had 5 bottles beer". I said "I paid cash for the first 2 bottles". She goes into her pocket and takes out the $10 Dollar bill I gave her.

After a long drive from N.D. my parents needed to rest because my mom's feet and legs were swelling. We arrived at this Days Inn in Nashville 1/18/16 very late and I purchased two rooms for the night. My room (209) looked like it has not been vacuum in days and there was blood splatters on the bathroom door and wall. There was stains and burn holes in the bed spreads. Told the desk clerk and after several attempts to reach the manager Jay **, he finally called me Friday late evening on 8/19/16. Said he would call back next week and never did. I called on 8/30/16. He finally returned my call and called again with a solution of a $20 gift card. My room was $71.64 x2. I don't think so. I want a full refund. My parents room (114) had a wobble toilet.
