Our room was dirty, wallpaper stained and falling off the wall. Sink stopped up, shower head only dripped out. Very disappointed in our stay. We were going to stop on our way home next week but I will definitely be finding somewhere else to stay!
I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights, prepaid on Priceline for workers going to Fresno. I personally called the hotel to confirm everything and make sure workers had what they needed. Was advised they just needed $100 for an incidental deposit or credit card. We advised the head worker they would need to have $100 cash or a credit card for the two room, two night reservation to cover the deposit that would be refunded after the stay.
The men worked all day and in the evening went to check in to the rooms. They were then informed it was $100 per room ($200) and the hotel refused to let them check into the 2nd room as they only brought $100 and none of them had brought credit cards. It was a Bad experience but rather than call me late at night, they all spent the night in 1 crowded room as none of them had brought extra cash or cards for the short job. The next day they confirmed with hotel staff they would be checking into the 2nd room and bringing the additional deposit. (They called mid-day and confirmed everything and advised they would be back later that evening and the clerk said that would be fine.)
Well after a LONG day of work in the heat, they arrived around 9PM and went to get the 2nd room only to be told that they could not check in to the 2nd room. The 2nd room reservation was not honored/cancelled. They would need to pay for a new room and the $100 fee if they wanted a 2nd room. Again late at night... The hotel clerk would not budge, no manager to speak with. They called me, and I spoke to a young lady who said the manager was gone, nothing they could do except she would be happy to sell me another room.
I got off the phone - called Priceline where we booked the rooms. Priceline called her and she told Priceline the hotel was full, manager gone, room cancelled, nothing could be done. I checked on Priceline's website immediately after to confirm if they had sold out in the past 1/2 hour since talking to her. As I suspected, I could book rooms on Priceline for that evening - King, 2 Queens, all types of rooms were available for that night. Somewhere along the line, another communication breakdown...
The principal of this was had we of had the correct information in the first place, there would never of been an issue. Our worker in charge did NOT want that hotel to get another dime of our money due to their earlier treatment, so they toughed it out for the night all in one room. The next morning when checking out, the clerk went to inspect the room before allowing a check out, which seems odd, but after she took 10-15 minutes in the room she came back saying that A TOWEL of some type was missing and they had to pay $10 for the towel to check out. First of all, the worker has been with us 20 years and there has NEVER been any issues. Clearly it was a bogus claim, but he paid the fee and left. When I tried calling to get a refund for the 2 nights in the 2nd room due to the issues, I was told The HOTEL refused to do anything. (Again no manager to talk to or deal with, just the clerk.)
They stated since we did not check in the first night (due to the misinformation provided by them) we forfeited the room. Did not matter that we had called in advance to make sure we knew what was needed which is what we went by. Also did not matter that the 2nd day when the worker called he was assured all would be fine. Bottom line is I do understand that things can and do happen, but it is how you handle problems that makes the difference. This was clearly mishandled and then they added insult to injury with the bogus $10 towel charge. On the towel, it is not the money at all, but the insult of accusing a worker we have known for 20 years of stealing a towel was simply crazy.
As info, we book hotel rooms 60 to 80 days out of the year between workers and family and rarely ever have even minor issues, let alone dealing with this type of poor business practices. The most costly of this issue is time spent dealing with this frustration. This makes me want to make sure OTHERS are aware, so hopefully they can avoid having to deal with any similar frustrations. We understand they deal with lots of types of people, but we are straight up in our dealings. The way this was handled with the check-in and then adding the bogus towel charge was simply over the top. Days Inn... Never Again...
Smell dirty, not vacuumed at all. I came into the room, there was hair on the bed and it looked like it hasn't been cleaned in like a week or so. And when I was there housekeeping didn't change my trash at all. I had to take it out. I believe the girl said her name was Jenn and I don't think I would come back to this hotel again. Thanks.
We booked our trip on Expedia. We were traveling with multiple family members who also booked through Expedia. The young lady at the front desk was very rude that we booked on the site. She didn’t give myself or any of my family members the room we requested and were told by Expedia was guaranteed. We then had to pay an extra $30 dollars. Once we made it to our rooms it was flat out dangerous. There were tack nails sticking out from the carpet that cut my foot and the lady at the desk didn’t care. The curtains were falling off the track and the bathroom had black mold growing in it. The sheets had weird stains and it smelled horrible. We were told that was all they had. No offer to fix anything. We honestly felt trapped.
After a rough night at the hotel we woke to the breakfast being there but no plates, no utensils nothing to eat the food with. The front desk advised they were out and there was nothing she could do. She returned to playing on her phone. The pool was supposed to open at a certain time and it didn’t open. All over just a bad experience with little to no customer care. I understand the price is low but she charged us extra and was so rude. We always stay at Days Inn but my entire family was so put off by all this. I am hoping to hear from someone regarding this experience.
E. **...May 4, 2019. Have stayed at this hotel many times for the Carlisle Spring car show. Above average hotel. However, this last visit 2 weeks ago was the best. Formerly, a Quality Inn and now a Days Inn and it shows. Granted, this is an older hotel and could use some modernization, however, check in was quick and courteous, the room was very clean and neat, and the hot breakfast was excellent. Manager, David **, was very pleasant and courteous. Desk assistant, Nicole, was also very courteous. I highly recommend this Days Inn.
I noticed a 100$ charge for smoking, I did not smoke their motel room. I also paid cash for the room and the also charged my debit card, so I paid cash for the room 48$. I was charged 100$ for smoking in the room and they charged my debit card 48$. I overpaid 148$ for a 48$ motel room at the Days Inn Servile Tennessee, I tried calling the manager and all she would say is, I smoked in room. I tried explaining to her that I did not smoke in the room, all she did was argue with me, that I did. The room already smelled of smoke & mold, the rooms are old and had stale cigarette smell. Once you turn the AC off, and the room warms up, you can smell all the old cigarette smell. I think this is a scam, so if anyone else was overcharged and charged a fee smoking fee please respond.
I stayed at the Days Inn in Pierre, SD. They had bugs and it was so dirty. It was the worst hotel l have ever stayed in. I didn't sleep because l killed 2 bugs in my bed. They weren't bed bugs, they were bigger and l was creeped out all night and left right at 6 in the morning just to get out of there. The staff was also rude.
Days Inn, Decatur, AL. Floor sticky, huge piece of ceiling fell on my head during my shower, someone came in our room even with DND sign on door. Turned out it was housekeeping and she didn't announce herself. Pool unusable. Breakfast was rotting fruit nothing else. Worse place ever. When complaining to the front desk, the manager said 'oh well' and nothing else.
I stayed in Days Inn Johnson Creek WI on 3/27-29. Carpet was filthy and I found a huge bed bug on the bed after waking up in the morning. Now, a week later, I noticed I have itching all over and it must be those bed bug bites from Days Inn. I reported to front desk that I found bed bug in my room 115.
My stay was terrible. I was ate up by bed bugs and complained and no one did anything about it. I will never stay there again. Terrible customer service and it's franchised so the owner did nothing about my complaints. Just sad.
Carpet in room stained and smelly!! Bed spread stained!! Dog feces all over parking lot and sidewalk. Snow was not plowed well and dangerous to walk in parking lot especially at handicap parking areas.
I called Days Inn Charleston WVA to make 4 day reservation. Got quoted a decent rate but I had to get my cc which wasn't with me. Called back hour later and was told to call back later as he was busy. Called back later and was told to call back tomorrow as he was busy. Called customer care and went through the whole thing again. Was put on hold and hung up on. I don't understand a business that tells you to call later when you are trying to hand them your credit card info. I'm trying to give you money and you tell me to try later? WTH. Lots of other discount hotels in the area that probably want my money now.
Thoroughly Disgusted. Got home to find a $150 charge on credit card for smoking in the room. We do not smoke, never have smoked, and did not smoke there. Hotel emailed pics with ashes on the carpet. Impossible! Felt we were set up.
I normally stay at 3-4 star hotels when I travel, but I have also stayed in a couple of 2-star hotels in the recent past. I recently booked a room at Days Inn Wyndham Hotel Miami Airport because it is in the vicinity of a seminar I am attending, and it was a reasonably priced combo/deal through Travelocity. I was concerned about the 2-star rating I read online, but because I was pressed for time I decided to give it a chance.
When I first walked into the room, I was very pleasantly surprised with the CLEANLINESS and unusual perks, like well-stocked coffee maker, security safe, iron and ironing board, large bathroom sink with a granite countertop. This is in addition to a pool, game room, and a really nice on-site micro-brewery/restaurant. I am also a stickler for customer service and the front desk help has been extremely courteous and helpful. Bottom line: In my opinion, Days Inn Wyndham Hotel Miami Airport deserves 4-stars. I will definitely stay here again if I need a Miami hotel. HIGHLY recommended!!!
Cons: Bathroom filthy, black mold in ceiling, lamps busted, Felt dirty just walking in the bathroom. Bed rocked like a boat, they fixed after 20 minutes. Sheets stained. This place was too much money. Would not stay at a Days Inn again. Pros: Pillows comfortable.
We arrived at the hotel around 5 p.m. We went to the office and told them I was handicapped. My friend and I are in our 60's and we were given a room in the very back of the hotel (There were empty rooms in the front). The outside of the buildings are dirty. We had difficulty opening our door with the key. Upon entering the room there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, the carpet was filthier then outside and I refused to remove my socks.
The faucets in the shower were literally falling off the wall. We were told we would have 2 queen beds and we got 2 doubles. The chair in the room was oversized and so dirty. We kept our clothes in the suitcase on the table. We had a non smoking room however, when I went to bed all I could smell on the covers was smoke!! The place was so dirty that when we went for our breakfast I ate a yogurt because it was sealed. The meal was cold cereal, toast and thawed frozen waffles. We were so uncomfortable. We had difficulty getting any rest. Worst experience ever!!
Nasty rooms and service. I was switched into three different dirty rooms after they cancelled my reservation. Hotel management was very rude. And as for the c.s. Is a joke. They do not take your complaints seriously. And the whole thing is it's nothing we as customers can do.
Merced is my hometown. I visited to see my Children and grandchildren. My plan was to stay a maximum of 6 days...I stayed three weeks. The entire staff from the manager Melissa to each and every staff worker took themselves above and beyond to assure that my stay was very comfortable. Yes, this is a budget motel, however, I was treated every bit as well as if I would have been staying at a high priced Hotel. Jasmine, at the front desk and every lady that was in charge of room keeping treated me with a smile and professional service!
I checked in with my family at around 11:30 pm at Days Inn Manning SC, I was accompanied with my family. The room we checked in had cockroaches in our room plus the beds were very uncomfortable and unclean. We went to the lobby to mention to the front desk, the lady was rude and offered us to cancel the room. She showed no courtesy and was extremely rude, she said, "I can't do anything if you have cockroach in your room." It was a pathetic experience. Her language was insulting and she was losing her temper.
Days Inn is more inexpensive compared with all others. Their accent was partially different but their overall breakfast & benefits were entirely helpful. Their location is slightly within the lower suburbs outside of Reading, but their overall value is entirely worth it.
The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot, very impressed with those things. However, the breakfast was a disappointment. Bagels and oatmeal was below average. The coffee was good as was the juice. But overall it could of been worse.
Stayed at 2 Days Inn motels, Gallup NM & Terra Haute IN. Both rooms in poor condition, especially the Terrace Haute location. Contacted Days Inn by mail, with included photos with no response. Evidently they are as attentive to their customers as they are to their properties. How they stay in business is a mystery to me. The Terra Haute location had stained, ripped furniture, nasty bathroom, broken lights , etc. I swear I heard “critters” in the room at night. I will never stay at Days Inn properties again, especially when they don’t have the common decency to respond to my queries. I will recommend to all I know to avoid these properties.
We left this disgusting place! Arrived and started to unpack and shower, but: Bugs started crawling across the ceiling and slowly increasing in number. We booked a NON smoking room, but found burns on the countertop, and through the bedding. Multiples of NASTY stains on the bed covers, as though not washed. They were truly gross! I had to get my kids out of there, so we left! The manager, Christina, later refused a full refund. I showed them the pictures I took, but she didn't care. Stay Away from this place!
The Days Inn in Salisbury North Carolina was a nightmarish experience. It is definitely not compliant with the American Disability Act. I would discourage anyone with a disability to stay there. The flight of stairs is definitely not conducive to wheelchairs or walkers. There is NO ELEVATOR. If their personnel were trained in customer service they would have assisted me in the negotiation of the stairs. I reiterate the hotel is not recommended at all for persons with disabilities.
My wife and I stayed in this motel on our way to do disaster relief after Hurricane Florence. The tub had been painted and was cracking so badly we could not bathe in it. Above the tub was a bare lightbulb and no fixture. There was no stopper on the tub and it was stopped up - we could not take a bath that night. There was construction in the lobby where they were leveling a concrete floor. They continued hammering on concrete until 1:00 am and were working until 3:30 am. I got hardly any sleep. I complained. The hotel only offered $6.00 credit! Wyndham offered to give me points towards another stay somewhere... which means I will have to spend even more money with them ($40+) in order to use the discount! So, the hotel I stayed in offered nothing. If I choose to use my discount, another hotel rents a room for $40+ depending upon the hotel quality. The only loser in the situation? ME. Worst hotel experience in 65 years.
Get another motel as this one has worn out facilities in the room including the tub, sink and doors. Mold on walls and ceiling over tub. This room is Substandard and I will not stay at this hotel again. Are all Days Inns like this? If so, I will not stay at this chain again.
FRAUD by Days Inn Austin Univ/Downtown at 3105 North I-35, Austin, TX. I made a 4-days reservation and then canceled it (before cancel deadline). Hotel charged my credit card $529. I wrote to hotel, no response. I disputed with Chase. Hotel sent to Chase a Fake Registration Form with my signature Forged! And a Fake Bill (dated departure date) with my signature Forged!. So, hotel claimed I stayed. But I was not in the US during these 4 days and proved it.
We stayed at this so called Days Inn by Wyndham Middleburg Heights in Cleveland, Ohio in Aug. 25th, 2018. It was the worst experience ever. How dare people call this a hotel??? It's not pet friendly, rather it's insect friendly, bed bugs all over the place. Fake pictures on the website, staff don't know AB hospitality, rude and mad faces. Breakfast are from 7 to 9 am (why not make it 7 to 7:15, it will save you money). Dirty washroom, shame on you for calling this a Wyndham. Will never stay there again and will never recommend it. If there is anything less than this star you would've got it. It's a huge mistake to call this place hotel. We paid $139.84 US for 2 rooms and it was the worst experience for everyone.
This was the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed at! They said it was renovated, what a joke!! No hot water, no curtains, the tiniest bathroom ever. All the furniture we’d Broken, lamps falling apart. All I have to say is DON'T stay here!!!
I stayed April 15th for one night. I called the location and told then I will be there in the 15th. They said, "15th of May?" I said, "No, tomorrow the 15th." "Oh let me change that in the computer. Okay, you are all set for tomorrow." I came in and paid cash, but wanted to put a credit card on file, it is their policy, I was told. [Follow month] I get a charge on my credit card for $95.75. I called the hotel and they told me it was a no show fee. I explained that it was a mistake and I had stayed there a month ago. I was traveling and don't even live in the state of FL. I didn't stay there May 15th. She said, "Call customer service!" And hung up on me. I have called several times and they keep telling me "no shows" are non-refundable. I get that but I didn't "no show."
Days Inn down town Pensacola Florida. This brings new meaning to the phrase roach motel/hotel. The beds hard as rocks, trains going through, other sirens going on, trash trucks 4 am. The free breakfast I wouldn’t even feed my dog. It was so bad. The one good thing was the shower. It had plenty of pressure and hot water. If you go to their pictures let’s they are deceiving.
My friend and I each had a room there overnight recently - $114 wasted each - list of complaints... Front desk was not at all helpful or friendly, door cards don't work, tv broken, no hot water for showers at all, no coffee pot, and finally when we went for the continental breakfast, it just about was ripped from our hands, before we could finish. ALL WE GOT REALLY WAS A BED TO SLEEP IN - No Amenities. For $114 each too much!!!
Just a note you have to do a star- BY NO MEANS DOES THIS ESTABLISHMENT DESERVE A PIECE OF A STAR! Stayed with family, 2 rooms, 8 people. Another guest thought it was a good idea to have a fire on walkway. Called office, they responded, people did not listen to them, (if that's even what they said to the people), disgusting office staff, no one knows anything, very unprofessional! We went down to office to complain again, only to be told leave them alone. They are putting it out (as my daughter sees the fire outside on the walkway still blazing), at that point lady doing fire went absolutely crazy, pushed myself from behind into a pillar on stairs, attacked my daughter and daughter in law.
Called ridiculous town cops, they came for nothing, one told me if I wanted to press charges I would need to come back 4 or 5 times maybe more for court (can't do that), also that that town has more gangs than Atlanta Ga has. Don't stay in this town, really weird things to say to a bleeding woman, another sad cop told the idiot that attacked and started the whole thing that he was sorry for the inconvenience! Is this the stupidest thing you have ever heard? So a review is if you value your life and your family's do not stay here! No camera coverage anywhere, they allow drinking at pool! No limits on how many can be in pool, says 40 to 50 people-but well over 75 people just party on weekends!
I had a long journey. Decided to stay in their hotel, I'm an avid customer there but the guy charged me twice for one day stay, when I complaint cause it shows in my mobile banking they refused and says it's the bank. I called the bank. They says it's the merchant. Going back and forth. The thing was they were very rude as they treat you as customer, yelling, screaming and there is one lady that works there who called me a stupid. I will never ever go back there. It was a very unpleasant welcome. Please treat your customer right as nurse we do have the same motto, customer is always right! That is how I treat my patients...
As a frequent patron (visiting approximately monthly) & Wyndham Rewards member who enjoys & recommends this hotel (lovely, clean, comfy hotel) it saddens me to share what happened BEFORE our stay even began. We arrived earlier than the STRICT 3pm check-in, expecting to wait in the EMPTY lobby, which we did for about 20 minutes (quietly, no mess, not in the way) but were told to leave by the notoriously rude front desk clerk I have come to tolerate: "It's for guests with rooms" as she visits with a friend (who I assume doesn't have a room) for over 30 min.
While waiting for a ride, security gives us a 15 min warning! Refusing to allow us to leave luggage while being forced out, while an employee lounges in said lobby watching TV, perhaps he had a room. A complaint was filed by phone, received by a friendly yet embarrassed representative, which is quite fitting considering the way we were treated. This is how Days Inn is represented! Hospitality at its finest! I used to recommend this hotel, not sure I will continue. At the time this review was written, 3:11pm, still waiting for my room! #livid
My wife and I checked into the Days Inn - Lumberton, NC Sunday evening, July 8. We were given room 119. When we entered the room, I commented, "Smells like dog." We turned on the AC and went out to get something to eat. When we returned, the dog smell wasn't quite as bad, so we decided to stay. After being in the room for awhile, my wife felt a bite on her leg and when she looked on the floor, we noticed fleas. We packed up as quickly as possible and I called the front desk for a new room.
We were given a room on the second floor. This room apparently was last updated in the 1970s. The door didn't fit right, there was no remote and at least two lamps had no light bulbs. The carpet appeared clean but there was a musty smell. When we checked out, I asked for a discount for the trauma of having been given a room infested with fleas. The manager offered me 5%. 5%?! Are you kidding me?! He said they would have to investigate my claim and, if verified, they would consider a bigger discount. I worked in hotels as night auditor for 8 years. This kind of experience would have earned a compensation. My recommendation for this hotel is that they tear it down and start over! It is that bad!
Stayed 14 nights at this hotel with free parking. 2 weeks later deducted £168 in parking fines in their car park. Contacted them. Don't pay l was told. l have already had it debited from my bank account by rental company. Their customer could not care less department are incompetent. Don't stay there.
Days Inn New Orleans Airport, Kenner, LA - I was wondering why it was so empty. Cockroaches were spotted in our room, unventilated bathroom, and general disrepair. Bathtub was slippery and I fell. I reported falling and response was "I will let them know." I mean I don't even get an "are you ok???" It's not like I was asking for anything free, though I really should consider suing. You get free parking, free ice, free coffee and soaps. Continental breakfast? Where? You get what you pay for.
Our stay was the worst experience!!! We checked in early yesterday, July 1st and they have indicated to come back because room was not ready yet. Which is fine but when I came back exactly at 3 which is the check in time, receptionist said, room was not ready yet. I was perfectly okay with this as I understand it's a busy day at the same time it's a hot weather. Anyway, we were able to check in just before 330pm. My family and I planned to leave the hotel to go to Clifton Hill and enjoy the scenery, play and watch the fireworks.
When we came back, I hear security and my friend arguing because we are apparently being disrupted and security said the complain was our kids were jumping. Our kids were sleeping and we just got back from Clifton Hill. Wondering and wanted to get to the bottom of this I tried speaking to the security. Did not even hear me out as I heard was we have 5 minutes to leave the property and I was not aware that there was a first complain already. Despite the fact that I tried to have it all settled, none of the staff or even security looked for me, the one that booked the room to discuss this matter. My cousin and I went to the lobby and a receptionist on the night shift plus the security was yelling at me because they said that our kids were jumping and making noises and that is the complaint.
I have tried to explain that we just got back from Clifton Hill and our kids were asleep. Even the police was involved. Shut me down and basically it is what is, the security made the decision to have us leave the property in the middle of the night with a 2 and a 3 year old that was blamed for making noises but are asleep. Any parent that will be at this situation will be upset, will curse obviously especially if you know it was unfair and uncalled for. I have paid so much and additional charges has been applied and I am so upset as we had to drive back to Toronto not getting the refund obviously at midnight waking our kids who they said was jumping.
I was never spoken to from the staff and no manager was to be found to speak to! Basically the situation was dealt with unfairly and none of the staff or even the security looked for me. I have always booked a room in this hotel and this has been the worst experience and embarrassing. I felt so degraded, disrespected and unjustified. No matter what it should have been, I had the right to be heard but was not. The worst worst worst experience!
Last year in July my son made reservations for a room at Days Inn at Chino Valley over the internet. When he went to sign in he was informed he had no reservation. He showed him his confirmation number. They informed him he had no room and they were full. Sent him on his way to travel with his family at night with his family. This year I called Days Inn at Chino and made reservation. Printed out confirmation. To make a story short, 4 of us had to head back to hometown at night because Days Inn rented my room and they were full.
On 6-15-18, I phoned to make a reservation. Showed up and waited 30 minutes for the desk clerk to talk to another unsatisfied customer. He didn't speak to me or recognize I was there. He just kept talking. I left and phoned to cancel reservation. Then my bank account got debited $126. I phoned the business and some rude lady told me that I was being charged a no-show fee and a travel consultant fee of $87. I do not agree with this and I have filed a BBB complaint. This type of treatment should not be allowed. I am a senior citizen. I want a refund. If you want a lawyer to call me tell him to do so. I am the victim and this is a true account of what happened. Based on other reviews I've read, I am not the only one. This business should be shut down.
Days Inn. North Miami - This place defines “sketchy”. Filthy rugs, bedding wrinkled and askew, light switch was a hanging greasy string. Stayed before and after flying on 10 day trip and same clientele occupied parking area, some scantily dressed.
After driving a 14 hour day over the road, I hit my hotel room, shower and go to climb in the bed when what awaits me? Bedbug... yes you read that right... bedbug. Then when informing the front desk night clerk, I am informed that it is not a bedbug but rather outdoor beetle. Then I am told that I can return to my room or sleep in my truck. Really? These rooms are not cheap and I especially do not appreciate the hateful and very loud tone that I was dealt. So, heads up, if you plan on sleeping in a Days Inn, please search your rooms thoroughly or you may be leaving with more baggage than you brought in with you and definitely less money as they would rather argue with you than just check out the bedbug situation and make it right.
My husband and I stayed one night at Days Inn Marietta and I was covered in bed bug bites. The hotel manager was rude and apologetic even after we explained that I was getting married the next day and now had horrible bites all over my body for my wedding day!
Days Inn. Covington, GA. I had been in Days Inn 2 days. Me and my dog which room and dog paid up. I ran into a old friend at Wal-Mart and invited him in to just talk. We shared pizza. Later I fell asleep. He was using WiFi to speak to his girlfriend. I awoke next morning he was gone. I got a call about a hour later from front desk. I went up. The owner said my friend that come out of my room had went into a room. Stole a tv. He wanted TV back. I had no idea. I made call to friend. He denied it. I asked to see video. I only saw him walking in hallway. Nothing more. Next police come. I told all I knew. Police told me man only wanted his TV. I told him what my friend said. He told me if I didn't get TV back I would be charged. I paid owner here 500.00 for a TV I never seen. I was scared. Not thinking right.
I went back. I asked for my $ back. He said I was responsible. This room wasn't even in my name...how?? I'd like to know how he can keep. Take My money when I wasn't nowhere around. Room not in my name. How. I'm on low income disability. And I need that $ back. What should I do??? Please give me some answers. I was just reading their Days Inn rules. They are not responsible for any item left, stolen, etc. of guests. Why should I pay for their TV??
I booked a room for 2 2 queen size bed with smoking. When I arrived I was given a room that had 1 full size bed and a couch. I went to the desk and showed them that was not the room I reserved. They said that's all they had and it wasn't their fault because I had booked it online with Expedia. I showed them my print out of what I had booked and they said that is not what they received from Expedia. I got on the phone with Expedia and told them I needed to get out of there. I swear I saw blood on the wall and lots of dirt. I would not have let my dog stay there. This Days Inn was in Pontoon Beach Illinois at 5105 Hwy 111 Granite City IL. PLEASE DO NOT STAY THERE.
Days Inn 2102 Coulter Dr. Amarillo Texas - I am a disabled person. When I called for my reservation I asked for a room close to the office. I did not ask for a disabled room just close to the office so that I would not have to walk so far as I am on a walker. When I checked they put me in a room about one block away from the office. I asked to be moved but they would not let me move. I called for a towel at the front desk but was told I would have to walk down there to get it. Only after telling them I would call their manager they finally brought me the towel. I want others to know about this treatment. I paid 64.30 per night for 2 nights a charge on my credit card.
We stayed at the Fort Walton Beach, Florida destination on Saturday, April 28th 2018. During our stay it started with a very unpleasant experience with the employee at the front counter. He told me his name was Darron. Darron was extremely rude and "snappy" in nature during the entire check in process. At one point he snapped at my fiancé, which led to a verbal confrontation between him and me.
Once we finally got to our room (#221) we immediately noticed that the bathroom, counter and sink were issues. The toilet had urine splashes on the seat. The sink would not drain. The bathtub was extremely dirty with black stuff in the bottom. The walls in the bathroom were dirty, stained and appeared to have rust and/or mold. I have attached the photos of the room prior to use using any of these items. We chose not to report to the front desk because of the negative conflict with the desk tenant.
I did attempt to contact the property manager (from a card I picked up at the front desk while Darron and I were exchanging our displeasure with each other). When I called the number it was Darron that answered. I asked to speak to the person who was listed on the card and he laughed (sarcastically) and said he won't be back until tomorrow. I then decided to report this to you all directly.
Something really needs to be done with the place and this employee (Darron). I hate to know that people are trying to enjoy their vacations and they have your company and your employees doing all they can to ruin it. One would expect to have an enjoyable experience with great customer service and a clean room to stay in. Instead you provided poor customer service, unsanitary conditions and an overall bad experience.
Additionally, the argument was never over if or why my girlfriend had to come inside or not. The complaint was strictly about Darron's poor customer service skills, his smart mouth, snappy responses and disrespectful demeanor toward us. Neither you nor I would have wanted us to go back and interact with this Darron immediately upon finding these issues in the room (#221). We were both not happy, Darron had a smart mouth and that would have escalated quickly to a negative outcome that neither party would have liked. Days Inn then contacted us on 05/02/18 via email apologizing for the negative encounter and twisted the complaint to me having my girlfriend pay vs. me.
This was my response. There are more issues that have yet to be discussed or release that did occur during this encounter with Darron at Days Inn - Fort Walton Beach location on April 28th 2018. Darron actually yelled (snapped) at her when she asked if there was going to be a hold placed on her card. He yelled at her "No, I am running your card". Darron actually told us he was having a negative encounter with us. This occurred after he yelled at her and I made the statement "Do you have a lot of negative encounters?" In which he responded "Yes, I am actually having one now". This was done in an extremely negative demeanor, voice and pitch. We did call the number on the card picked up at the front desk to report these issues to the manager and Darron responded while laughing (facetious) "No, he will not be back until in the morning". He did not ask if there was a problem or anything, just simply what I just stated.
I recently booked a room at the Days Inn on Poole Street in Gulfport Ms. Upon arriving at the location, I quickly noticed the hotel was NOT the hotel in the photos on the Days Inn website that indicated the exact address. The hotel was in extremely poor and unsafe conditions. The rooms were filthy and smelled horrible, holes in the bathtub, the door handle to the room was broken along with the entire set of rooms along that 2nd floor level, the adjoining door to the room next to mine had been broken into and the lock had been broken and not fixed, the eating breakfast area was IN THE LOBBY of the hotel where you check in and had old piles of food left for what must have been for days.
I immediately asked the front desk attendant to cancel my reservations due to the conditions of the hotel as to which I was refused and told there was no manager on duty to make that call or take my complaints. However, I saw what turned out to be the manager behind a closed door adjoining the hotel lobby. I was approached by a drug dealer on the way to my vehicle to get my bags as I was told I had already been charged prior to my arrival. Days Inn IS A PAY UPON ARRIVAL policy hotel. These people ran my credit card at 4:00 PM to charge me the first nights stay and stated they assumed I was a no show. I arrived there at 5 PM on the first afternoon of my reservation. I never indicated a specific time a arrival when I booked the rooms.
They also had 2 other couples leave the hotel due to the same reasons I didn't wish to stay there and they were also told they would not be issued a refund. The attendant was very unwilling to help me and stated she would not refund my 2 nights that I was charged and that I was free to leave without a refund. I am now disputing the charges through my bank. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled and how I was taken advantage of by Days Inn and Wyndham Group as no one was willing to resolve this problem or offer a resolution. All I wanted to do was transfer my reservation to a safe and clean Wyndham Group Hotel in the area for my weekend getaway. This was a total nightmare! NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL. If I could rate this hotel a -0 it still wouldn't be good enough.
The Days Inn in Orlando had great price, quiet, clean, and great staff. Universal Studios was within walking distance, which we did 2 times. Good bedding, rooms were quiet, could not hear the neighbors, and the pool was great. We stayed there for 4 days and loved it and you could not beat the price. I would go back again.
Booked No Smoking Room in No Smoking Building behind office at Days Inn Show Low, Arizona. Assured this would not be an issue. The noise level and Smoking which was Done outside the room door close to one of the building entrances caused sleepless night with complaints to manager ignored. Days Inn provided 15% Discount on room charge. Later the Illegal drug activity and criminal elements on the property contributed to the death of Officer Reed of Show Low. People in the rural town were stunned saying that kind of thing just does not happen in Show Low.
It does, it just did and no one was proactive preventing these types of crimes; escalating in the area. PC Public Culpability Days Inn long time owners doing nothing to provide a safe nonhostile environment; complicit, culpable in Problems pervasive on the property management and longtime owners are aware of; fail to address. Management is the problem; not the solution. Stay at a safer location if there is one.
The Days Inn side in Reno Nevada is much nicer than the Super 8 side with nice clean rooms, parking in front of the room, great staff, quiet, easy check in and out. But the Super 8 side is pet friendly while the Days Inn side is not.
I set up a one day room rental through Hotels.com for 3/21/2018, Confirmation number: ** for $96.53. We checked into Days Inn Lanham, MD, and a chair was holding open the door to our assigned room 108. Upon inquiry, the front desk said the room prep was completed needing towels. We left some luggage in room and upon returning the room bed linen was totally unacceptable. Bed poorly made, linen looked worn, linen was dingy, with wrinkled sheets and pillowcases. I have pictures to prove my point. All I am asking for is a refund. I would like to add that the young lady at the front desk was very polite, friendly and professional. I can be reached via email or my cell. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I have stay on several occasion and I truly enjoyed my stay in Days Inn Greenville. I've never had or encounter a bad experience. Whatever my needs they were taken care of without question.
Rooms were clean at Days Inn Ocean Springs MS. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast and cable were good. Convenient to everything. You don't want to waste your time trying to figure out where things are located.
This hotel in Michigan, Detroit need better elevators and better breakfast with more drink options. Every modeling in a swimming pool wasn't down when I was there but it was great for that price.
Everyone in the Valley Park, MO branch was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice considering it's not one of the fancier hotels. The pool was clean and the entrances were all conveniently located. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores very close by and it was accommodating to pets, which I really enjoyed and appreciated even though I didn't have a pet with me. There is also shopping close by if someone needed it.
Traveling with my pet, Days Inn at Forrest City, AR gave me what they called a handicapped accessible room. It was so stuffed with furniture I was hardly able to move so how could anyone with a wheelchair? The restaurant contracted for them were not open on time & had an attitude because we were waiting in line & were very rude. If I return to that area I will find a different hotel that takes pets even if I must travel more miles to my destination.
I had a very disturbing experience in Days Inn Colorado Springs. It was not very good price and not very good place to stay. The housekeeper's dryer caught fire, the customer next door was a drunk and smelled to high heaven. The only good thing about it was the housekeepers and the breakfast.
The room at Days Inn Bismarck was clean, but the staff was less than helpful and friendly. The hours for eating were very limited. The restaurant was in the bar and the food was not as good as it could have been.
We checked in on Sunday, February 11, 2018 after the 7 day cruise on RRC. I asked for a handicap room because my wife and sister-in-law have some special needs. We were given room 123 lower level facing the parking lot. All went well until we returned home to find a $250.00 charge on my account. I called to find out that we were charged $250.00 for smoking in this room. None of us smoke at all. I called the manager numerous time to discuss this issue and I am put on hold or disconnected. Finally my brother in law reached the manager on Monday, February 19th. The manager said there was nothing he could do because we didn't report any type of orders when we checked in.
This is an older hotel with a musk type of smell. We were never instructed at check in report any type of orders or smells. I have filed a complaint with Days Inn Corp, BBB, Travel Trip and Expedia. I am encouraging anyone that travels not to stay at the Days Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport Cruise Port. They must not of made their numbers and need addition revenue from stealing from senior citizens.
Our visit to Days Inn Jamaica was awful, left us ill, and worse. Yet despite talking to customer service of both Days Inn and of Wyndham Hotels (the parent company), no one has shown any real concern for our experience. There were three different problems at the hotel: First, the 'free' shuttle took almost 2 hours to get us. It took so long, even shuttle drivers from other hotels felt sorry for us and tried calling in to Days Inn to find our ride. Days Inn is incompetent; they do not seem to be connected to the airport Kiosk Days Inn dedicated phone, just before you come out to the pickup area, that contacts the hotel shuttles. This is all made worse by my heart condition; being left out in humid, sweltering heat was hard on me and would stress anyone with cardiac or health issues. Someone could get seriously ill from being left out in such heat; we both felt sick the entire evening.
Secondly, the bed was not good. We slept poorly, and the pillows were strange - they had only these smaller, square-shaped pillows. That was frustrating. Thirdly, and worse for my wife, was the bathroom floor - which was dangerously slippery. Please realize, we travel a lot, so we do know the difference. This floor was not normal, it was *very* slick. Their maid service clearly used the wrong cleaner, maybe trying too hard to make the floor look shinier? At the time of our stay, my wife was recovering from a broken foot, so we were very aware and worried about this shiny slick floor. What if someone were to fall down, or get seriously injured in a Days Inn or Wyndham, because of problems like this? We feel that if that happens, we hope their lawyers see this review. Also, it's hard for me to believe that we are the first to have these experiences at Days Inn, and therefore - if it happens again - that would show a pattern of negligence.
After the trip we talked to Days Inn Customer Service, found no help so we also talked to Wyndham Customer service - yet neither one has any real sympathy. No one there seems to understand how unhappy we were, and thus very little effort was made on our behalf. Therefore, these are poor customer service organizations, and we are recommending people avoid BOTH Days Inn, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
This was our one-year wedding anniversary trip. We expected a lot more. We were able to recover after that, and enjoy the trip - but it was an unnecessarily difficult start. Even Wyndham senior staff (meaning VP's, & above, contacted on LinkedIn) do not seem to really understand how we feel. In summary let me say that we strongly urge people to avoid any Days Inn, and Wyndham as well - because if customer service is not good in a hotel, if you don't see some concern and some action (both to fix the problems, and to make it right with the consumer) - then you should not stay there.
My husband and son stayed at the Days Inn in Terre Haute, IN. The U-Haul they were driving, with everything in it my son owned, was stolen right out of the parking lot. When they went inside to ask for help or to view the security footage they were told that only a manager could access the system and it was down anyway. They received no help whatsoever. When contacting the corporate office of Days Inn I was informed that Days Inn is a franchise and you need to deal directly with individual Days Inn owners. I would never stay here again nor would I recommend anyone stay here. It is obviously not a safe place.
Days Inn Kansas City International Airport - I stayed for one night. Shower apparently leaked into the lower level, so was told to NOT use the shower at all. Male manager kept trying to come in my room, after me telling him several times - NO - no water on floor, but my daughter was trying to get dressed, and other daughter was sleeping. He came back 5-10 min later and tried 2 more times to come in. I again reiterated he couldn't come in, and the issue was NOT getting water on the floor, the floor was dry, but could see the crack where caulking needed redone. Again because I wasn't allowed to use the shower, I felt I should of been given another room. Of course I wasn't... Poor management, unable to use shower, and no room replacement. Would Not recommend. Room was nice enough, but there were a few what looked like hairballs stuck to the walls which was also gross.
Me and my wife stayed at the Days Inn in Kansan City. They were to give us free breakfast but when we went down to eat breakfast they were out of food and it was 8:30 am, but had plenty of coffee. The swimming pool is also never open. Too expensive for the room.
Days Inn in Yucaipa, Arizona - The bed was like sleeping on heavenly clouds and the shower was like a waterfall, all the room a person could ask for. The staff was also attentive and helpful.
Days Inn Colorado Springs Colorado USA - The room had not been cleaned and there were dirty clothes in the bathtub. The blankets also stunk like pee. Staff was good but that's the only good thing I seen.
Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada - The room was very clean, nicely decorated and nice hotel with lots of parking. I have allergies to dogs and the first hotel I stayed in that I had no symptoms. The lobby and hallways were also very nice.
Black River Falls, Wisconsin Days Inn - New lobby, spacious rooms, big parking area for trailer and trucks. 24 hours indoor pool and hot-tub, fridge, microwave, new rooms, love the pictures, new mirror, hot breakfast.
Days Inn in Crystal River, Florida was pleasant. It was on the middle of being updated, which it was. Usually clean, good value, w/ good amenities. Typically, it has a breakfast bar, possibly due to the reno. The pool was clean but dated. It was nearby places we were going & Restaurant nearby.
Tulsa, Oklahoma location - Easy on the budget, clean rooms, professional service, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, eager to help. Knew the city to help get around. Knew the taxi schedules and the cheapest rates.
Days Inn in Clayton, GA, USA. We arrived and was given a room, when we entered we noticed a scent. As we looked around, on the side of the second bed on the rug was dog poop and the rug looked like it was not cleaned or vacuumed. I immediately called and the night auditor was inattentive and did not care. He basically expected us to sleep there and I asked him if he would sleep in a room like this. He then said to come down to pick up another room key. I was disappointed for the price we spent on that night.
It was inconvenient because you have to put 100.00 dollar deposit (Provo, Utah location). You get it back if the room is satisfactory. You have to go get them then they check it to make sure you can have your 100.00.
Grande Prairie, AB (Canada) hotel had very clean rooms. The staff were very clean and attentive to my needs. It was within close proximity of shopping and restaurants. There were other motels/hotels in the area but they were not as well received as this one was which made our decision easy.
My stay at San Antonio Texas Days Inn was relaxing and fun. The view are beautiful. Riverwalk very nice. Food was great. The employees were helpful. I would go back for my next stay. There's a lot of activities to do also.
Fulton MS Days Inn was fine for a ordinary hotel but the price was a little high in my opinion. It was clean and decent place to stay but the costs on everything has gone up and keeps going up.
Days Inn Motels are reasonably clean, relatively small rooms, and functional. This is not a luxury resort, and by no means is Atlantic City a superior facility among Days Inns, but for a safe night's sleep, it is ok.
Days Inn Arlington Texas - It's nothing like the ad, wasn't what I expected. It was trash in the parking lot, the room were clean so that was a plus. They need to work on air quality.
We checked in on Nov. 22, 2017. First thing was a cig. burn on the sheets and blankets. Nose booger on bathroom door. Same thing on frame of door room. Touched. Water stains on ceiling. I could go on.
Assigned room (Salem, Oregon) was under stairway so very dark - was given another room for more money but at least some light. Noisy as right by freeway. Breakfast not very good and couldn't take to the room to be with my dog.
Pineville LA - This place so bad I had to leave 4 am and don't know how Days Inn keeps them on. Bed bugs on me bites on my head, took a bug to bug man, told me that's what it was.
Days Inn in Thomasville, Ga. Quiet, comfortable, clean, good service, good value for your money. I would recommend to all my family and friends, I can't wait to until I get a chance to return.
Fortunate sleep, illness, lack of quiet enjoyment suffered at Show Low Days Inn stay not entirely limited to, endured given fate of Officer Reed; lost life apprehending multiple criminals connected to Show Low Days Inn. Fortunately Show Low, AZ; foresight to build new police, public safety department across from Days Inn. Drug problems prevalent. Recommend higher quality property, safety and security measures, venting employees and management, to protect, limit access to drug addicts, drug dealers; criminals. Your life, health, safety; well-being depends on it.
My wife and I were traveling to Lackland AFB to attend an Air Force graduation. We decided to get a room at Days Inn because another family member was also staying there while attending the graduation. We were given room 137. We open the door and try to turn on the lights to the room, nothing happens. We turn the flashlights on the phone on, and we see the beds off the rails, and BED BUGS spray bottles just sitting on the table.
My wife and I quickly exit the room and turn the keys back in. We then do go to join our family member for the night (about 2 am at this point and need to be up by 5 am) to try and get some shut eye. When we go to their room, their bathrooms was one of the worst smelling bathrooms that flowed through my nose. I’m an army veteran so there have been some pretty bad smells that I have come across. The next morning when we go to take a shower we all ended up having to take it with cold water as the room did not provide any source of warm/hot water. Once we left to attend the ceremony, we ended up turning our keys in and canceling the remainder our stay in this hotel.
I booked 7 nights accommodation in Days Inn Kingsland (GA) through Priceline and was not advised which hotel until I had prepaid in full. When Days Inn Kingsland was confirmed, I checked into room 112 from 2nd October 2017 for 7 nights. The bathroom had a strong stench of sewage, most bathroom fittings were rusty and bath/shower grab rail was loose. Without a slip mat making it potentially dangerous when entering/leaving bath/shower. Toilet base and floor dirty and broken tiles. Light above vanity unit not working so impossible to shave/apply make-up.
Room fridge dirty and rusty and floor carpet absolutely filthy, so got feet dirty walking the 10 feet from bathroom to bed. After check-in tried to report these and many other faults but sign placed on reception door that hotel was full. Visited reception three separate times following day and on each occasion no staff member on visible duty. On my return contacted Priceline but they stated hotel was not willing to even make a token return. Avoid this hotel at all costs - rated 18 out of 21 hotels in Kingsland on TripAdvisor.
My day started with them stopping shuttle service at 11am. That should be on site. I specifically choose this hotel because I needed shuttle service. Fail. I had to take the hotel shuttle next door and walk. When I get to the hotel, it's ragged. Not it what I'm used to. Again, don't believe the pictures. So I'm in my room and they wiped everything with bleach. So now I cant breathe. The website says free breakfast. Can't comment yet because I don't know yet, but I'm think about forfeiting my $200 and going to Country Inn around the corner. When I get back to work, I'm definitively advising our company perk page to take this hotel off their list. DAYS INN ATLANTA PHOENIX BLVD SUCKS!
It was an excellent value for the dollar. All I needed that night was to check in late, alone, and get up and out early, and easy access. It fit my needs well that trip. The Days Inn in Atlanta, GA was a bit down at the heels (needing an extensive update).
The Days Inn in North Port, AL looked nice from the outside but the room was dark and musty. The fridge did not work. It was noisy and the coffee and donuts were horrible. The air conditioner was not working to cool off the room for what they charged. It was a nightmare.
I had a planned trip to Lawrence, Kansas on business where I had booked a room for 2 nights. During my drive through Missouri I was involved in a traffic accident & was unable to make my reservation. The hotel lacked understanding of my situation & refused to cancel my reservation without penalty! Contacted Days Inn customer care about my issue, the representative then contacted the motel & belligerently yelled at by the attendant. I was charged for one night regardless for which I was told would be refund for my troubles by a customer care rep from Wyndham. Nearly 2 weeks have passed & I've yet to be recompensated for my loss! I will not recommend this chain or any affiliated!
The Days Inn in Union City is excellent so they receive good and know how take care their bedroom. They very clean, too. It was very free when I ask something they use to give me what I need.
We spent a night at a Days Inn in Brunswick, GA and again tonight in Roanoke, VA. Both looked very nice on Expedia and hotels .com. Both were filthy, worn out, and very noisy. Don't stay at a Days Inn.
I arrived at the hotel in Eastland TX with my fiance for a job he is doing in town. The room is standard and nice. The breakfast is good, waffles, cereal, muffins and beverages. The staff is very attentive, accommodating and friendly. We stayed for a month. We will stay at a Days Inn on our next trip.
For the money, the Days Inn in West Memphis was just OK but the second hotel was much worse, pretty rundown and old and I would not stay there again. I stayed in Austin at a Days Inn and I booked it through a online booking agency. Very bad experience.
My husband and I checked into the hotel informing them we were evacuees from Hurricane Irma Florida and my husband is handicapped with a service dog. We had a small bird with us. They came to my door this morning told us to leave and fined us $100. I thought the hotels were ordered to lift pet policy. With all we have been through and being displaced for a period of time they caused undue stress on our finances to stay in a hotel longer. We cannot go home as of now. I would like to file a formal complaint. If possible I would appreciate a reply. Thank You.
The place was filthy. We got into town late and checked in about 8:30-9 PM. We got to the room and there was dust, mold in the corners, bathroom paper holder was falling out of the wall, drywall was peeling over the lights in the bathroom, stains on the furniture just to start. We needed to be at the hospital for my wife to have surgery at 6:00 am. I got up at 5:30 to take a shower and there was NO hot water. I went to the desk and they knew the night before that there was a problem yet let me check in. After reading the reviews I saw on reservation counter I thought it should be fine. Tonight I read lots of reviews on Madison Heights and corporate reviews that this is a common problem with Days Inns across the country. I will NEVER stay in another Days Inn and believe me everyone I know and more will find out how filthy they are.
My husband and I choose the Days Inn in Copiague NY on August 22, 2017 for the night based on our past experiences and the promises in advertising by the company assuring us of the reliable, clean services they have branded themself to be. I paid good money for the night even though there were cheaper motels in the area because of their well known name and assurance of providing a clean safe environment. When we checked into a no smoking room (we were told) we were automatically disgusted by the state of the room. There were dirty cigarette burns on EVERYTHING! The burns were all over bedspread, the ice bucket had black burns all inside of it and the tray to bring food in if you needed to was also covered in black burn marks! There was an ash tray in the no smoking room though it was obvious none ever used it!
The room was so run down and the things I mentioned above were absolutely unusable! Being my husband had recent surgery and we stopped for the night due to that fact and him needing to rest, we had to stay put. That was just the beginning. The room next door had no windows at all and I now know why. The amount of action that room saw kept us up all night. Every hour another car would pull up and a man would get out, enter the room and stay for a short visit. It wasn’t the only room that saw action. It seems like at least half of the rooms were used for the same purpose. When a man pulled up and let out a much younger women and waited in the parking lot for her to finish whatever, I of course became concerned. Who wouldn't be? I’ll tell you who. The owner of the hotel who said they choose that life so he didn't feel bad. Was it chosen? Who? The question is Why do the owners turn a blind eye?
It’s not like they are going bust! They don't even replace the ice bucket and the tray with the Days Inn name on it. That I’m sure costs less than 2 dollars each! They also aren't losing: money on the breakfast! Besides being the bare minimum they can get away with I was told when things were empty that they are forced to put out less because some take too much and don't finish it. Why I have to put up with this after being a pretty good customer to other Days Inns and paid for something promised I never received! They could rectify the damage by making it.
Checked in late at night, around 11:45 and room was hot. Air conditioner didn't work. Holes in the wall. Nasty linens, pubic hairs on the toilets. Phones were caked with dirt and didn't even work. Shower and floors were so dirty couldn't take your shoes off. Slept on top of sheets fully clothed and checked out the next morning. Didn't want to refund second night but after some talking with the front desk we checked out anyway. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!
I have never stayed at a Days Inn. The rooms are basically like the Red Roof Inn. I ask the housekeepers to put clean sheets on every day and the housekeepers are Indian hardly speak English. They never clean the pool. There's yellow stuff under the water. No towels. You have to ask and yes it's indoors, they charge us different rates all the time. The continental breakfast is a joke. Our towels look like rags. The way the owner speaks to you is very unacceptable. All I can say is DON'T EXPECT WHAT PICTURES OF THE FACILITY SHOW, and another thing CHECK OUT IS 11:00. THEY START KNOCKING AT DOORS AT 9:00. THAT'S ridiculous.
This is by far the most budget hotel I have ever stayed in Lacey, WA. I recently stayed for a week, and I really got to suck in all of the penny-pinching goodness. I came here with my daughter, wife, and mother and stayed in two separate rooms. The first day I requested a pack-and-play to let my daughter sleep in during our stay since she is up and mobile. That night when I set it up, the thing collapsed! So, I went up to the front desk and no one is to be found. I wait a few moments and check the security cameras (I'll get to this) for the somebody that works there and there was nothing. So I go back to my room and make a fort on the other bed for my daughter to sleep in until the next day.
I tell the front desk attendant and she is unsurprised. Eventually, I take all four pack-and-plays the hotel supplied back to my room, one at a time. I test it, it collapses. I return it. Rinse and repeat. Until eventually the attendant tells me that I'm out of luck. Well, I then request two broom sticks to secure the one pack-and-play that had two working arms and two inoperable arms. So my daughter slept in that for a week. The front desk is unmanned for lengthy periods. I walked up one day to get my key re-magnetized (I'll get to this too!). There was a lady standing there already, and she mentioned that she had already been waiting there for fifteen minutes. We waited together there for another ten, so she stood there for nearly half an hour to check in!
Speaking of the next morning, even though I am a paying customer I am not allowed to bring food from the high-dollar continental breakfast back to my sleeping daughter and wife! By high-dollar, I mean the most budget-friendly spread of impressively small bagels and stale cereal along with the other usual staples of a 'dry continental breakfast'. I'll revisit this impressive security system. The front desk gives a full view of every security camera in the hotel. So anyone, including people that aren't staying in the hotel and just hanging out in the lobby, get to see any dead spots the hotel security might have. This coupled with the front desk being unmanned a majority of the time is a recipe for disaster.
There is such a thing as 'security through ambiguity'. All it takes is someone with a cell phone to take a quick picture and the entire hotel security is compromised. Also the hotel ceilings are low and the cameras are placed right in the middle of the hallways. So being 6 foot, my hair grazed across the bottom of a security camera. I feel sorry for any 6'2" or taller people! Some other not-serious or not-as-serious but honorable mentions: Both washers are broken on the first floor, and cost a dollar per load. Found auxiliary doors leading outside that had napkins stuffed into the locking mechanism so it didn't lock. Soda machine was broken and stealing change, staff was told by both my wife and my mom, and not labeled broken until our third day there.
The trash can outside the front door was constantly full with different trash. So try a bigger trash can! Getting key re-magnetized was quick when staff was at the front desk, however I had to get it re-magnetized daily + for a week. Staffers I didn't recognize re-magnetized my key without verifying my identity on multiple occasions. Then one lady verified my identity every time (which is good security). In conclusion, I won't be returning and unfortunately this is a great horror story to share with friends!
I went on a vacation to my home state of Michigan with my family to visit my mother. We searched online to find a hotel that fit our budget and came across Days Inn & Suites in Roseville, Michigan. I booked it and we checked in and went to our room and the first things I noticed wrong were the old curtains, dirty smelly old carpet and the outdated fixtures, lamps and furniture. It's like this place hasn't been updated since the 80s. There was also a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke; especially when the AC was on. Housekeeping apparently only gave us fresh towels, made our bed with the same sheets and emptied the trash cans. They didn't clean the bathroom, the furniture and they poorly vacuumed the dirty carpet. The person at the front desk was dry and unwelcoming. I will not be staying at this hotel my next visit to Metro Detroit.
The experience here at the motel was awful. There was an ant infestation. Nothing was readily available, rooms were not playing properly. The doors on both rooms after being moved from one to another were not stable, the locks were loose, refrigerator wasn't clean with food still left in it, freezer had a mountain of ice where you couldn't put anything in it. The beds were lopsided. All the toiletries and linings were not available. When asked for toiletries they couldn't find them. Seems as if pieces of the ceiling was falling on the floor. Most awful experience I have ever had. To add insult to injury this Days Inn is right off of the shore.
With that being said this should be a tip top Motel. Very very very disappointed especially for the rates that was pay nightly. Spoke with staff, they did their best but this was just awful. The last day of staying I guess they just forgot to service our rooms after speaking with us several times. I tried to wait it out but I couldn't go anymore without saying anything. Too many things were unsatisfactory.
The Days Inn beach property should be investigated. The lack of cleanliness, hygiene and overall lack of safe standards should be visibly inspected. I regret not taking photos of the property in question. This property is a detriment to your hotel chain and your usual high standards of quality properties.
1450 North Military Highway, Norfolk, VA 23502-2200 US1. +1-757-466-7474 - Pictures of the rooms on the website are so deceiving. Rooms are nothing close to the pictures. The smell in there make you throw up. I was unable to change the hotel because the shuttle made the last run to airport. Walked in and the carpet was ripped out right at the door... Kind of like a half moon size chunk right up against the door. Got in and looked around and noticed the drain plug was pulled and there was a ton of hair in the drain. Not terrible right... Just something you know is there but don't want to see. As I sat down on the bed I grabbed a pillow and noticed some black specks on the bed right under where the pillow was.
Upon taking a closer look I noticed it was mouse droppings. I looked some more and there was droppings on all four pillows and under each pillow. I've stayed in some pretty bad places but never noticed mouse poop all over the beds and pillows. Pictures of the rooms on the website are so deceiving. Rooms are nothing close to the pictures. The smell in there make you throw up. I was unable to change the hotel because the shuttle made the last run to airport. I wish I had away to get away from that place! I sat up ALL night with the lights and TV on until I could leave. I would NEVER check in there AGAIN IN LIFE!!
I stayed for one night and found accommodations to be less than satisfactory. The television had local channels only although free cable was advertised. "Pets Welcome" was advertised but, when I checked out, the owner/manager scolded me and told me that they no longer accept pets. When I reviewed my bank statement the next day, I found that I was charged two additional charges of $50 and $100 above and beyond my $60 payment that I had made when arriving. The manager/owner was rude, threatening, and extremely unprofessional. I have since contacted my bank and local law enforcement to get my stolen funds back.
7/7/17 called to confirmed check in and that I had 2 rooms on 1st level by the pool as requested at time of reservation. She answered the phone, very rude, laid the phone on the counter so that I would hear her personal conversation for the next 20 minutes. I hung up and tried to call back for an hour and there was never an answer. Called back 2 hrs later and spoke with a very pleasant gentleman that confirmed everything and said to call when we arrived in Lake Havasu around 11 am to inquire about early check in. Called and got the negative individuals that I had spoke with the afternoon before who told me no and to call back after 1 pm. Arrived on 7/8 at 3:00 PM and received the same type of welcome by Vivian and Amber. Just as rude as could be.
When given our room keys they were on 2nd fl and she proceeded to argue with us about our reservations. Several others in the lobby waiting to check in witnessed this. Finally given our rooms on the 1st floor - rm 145 smelled horrid like it had not been cleaned properly and rm 144 the toilet would not flush at all. When we went for the breakfast - 1 party had invited their family that lived in Havasu to join them taking up the entire room and left nothing for us - when asked if more items were to be brought out was informed that the breakfast was over. This was between 8-8:30. Checking out same treatment - when we told Amber about our issues she just told us we were all set. Good bye. I have stayed at this inn a few times before and have never been treated this way. Not sure if we will return.
Do not stay at the Days Inn in Greenwood, SC. The photos online is false advertisement. Once you purchase your room and look inside, it's nothing like the photos online which is understandable because motels do have a little wear and tear but the room I received was farrrrrrrrr away from the photos. The room had roaches crawling everywhere with a leaking air condition unit. Roaches was under the lamp shades, on the TV, the dresser, crawling down the walls, looking at me like, "(Why are you in our room)."
I went downstairs and told the clerk the room was roach infested and "move me now." She gave me another room which was a little better. I checked for roaches and bed bugs. At this point I was tired so I went to bed. The next morning I showed the photos and videos to the manager and she wasn't surprised. She said "We have a bug problem here and it's nothing we can do about it." She said "We always had roaches." I said "Next time before you take people money, let them know that they will be sharing a room with bugs!!!"
I attempted to stayed the night at Days Inn located in Morrow, GA. The room smelled like urine and pot, no towels, and no soap. The floors had no carpet. I thought room was ugly. Shady looking people hanging out near the area of the room. I did not feel safe and I had my daughter with me. I could not stayed the night there. They wouldn't give me a refund which is worst thing of my experience. I would never spend or recommend Days Inn.
We arrived in the evening, my 2 small children and myself. We checked in around 11:30 pm, we were tired from a long day driving from Fort Lauderdale. Once we got to the room we realized that the room had not been cleaned from the previous guest. The hallway smelled of smoke and the room smelled disastrous. We went down to the front desk to see what could be done.He asked us, "How bad is it, because that is the last room". AS if he thought we would stay in the room in that condition. Little did we know that the entire city was fully booked. I called every single hotel in the town. So the front desk clerk took 2 sets of bed sheets up to the room, not the cleaning cart to change the bed sheets. He realized that he needed more, so he came back down to collect the cleaning cart, then came back down to find different sheets because the ones he took up were stained. He had to return another time to grab another sheet because of stains.
I should have ran. I know, but we had no choice. When we finally got to the room, still smelly and with toothpaste stains in the sink and hairs all over the bathroom floor. It was 2:30 in the morning. They only had hand towels available. In the morning when I asked for regular towels, housekeeping said that none of the housekeeping carts had towels on them. WTH?? Buy some more towels, get some more sheets, clean your rooms!! It was horrible. We jumped up first thing in the morning and checked out. The manager could only say "Oops sorry" Like its a normal occurrence. I will NEVER stay in another Days INN for the rest of my life.
Stayed at Days Inn on Clark rd in Siesta Key Florida and daughter got bit several times by bed bugs on her face and along side of her arms and hip. Notified the front desk and was treated like it was no big deal and was moved to a room that was worse. Smelled like mold and completely disgusting. My daughter spent the two day vacation miserable and now might need to go to hospitals because she is getting pain in her arm where she was bit.
The room was filthy. Mold in the bath tub, and soap still in the shower from the last guests. The bedside lamps did not work, thick dust in top of the bed ledge, and on the chairs. Hair behind the door in the bathroom. It was so nasty I had to check for bed bugs! The manager didn't even give us a discount because we checked in at 6:30 pm, but we dropped stuff off and left because we were late for a concert. I was in no way shape or form looking for a free stay, just what I was owed. The price was way over what should have been expected. The manager was very rude "Ken **". We didn't even get an apology. Very disappointing. I wouldn't let my dogs stay there. The only good thing was my kids weren't there. I would have left when we got back at 3 am. Not recommended and a bodily hazard.
We had booked this hotel online prior to arriving from out of state. Upon arrival at the hotel room it had a very bad smell, the carpet was very dirty, a lamp was broken, and I noticed the wifi connection constantly dropped out. I reported this to the front desk. They gave us another room. My wife noticed a cockroach in the room. Again, they use a very strong cleaner to mask the bad smell in the rooms. We tried the complimentary breakfast, and the space is small. We stood in line for an hour or more as everyone was waiting for the wafflemaker. This hotel is overpriced, outdated, and needs a major overhaul. Better yet tear it down and build a new one!
While staying 3 nights over Memorial Day weekend 2017, we returned to our room on Saturday and Sunday evenings only to find a party of young adults taking place right outside our room in the back parking lot where our new car was parked. Saturday night they had a tent and grill and were very noisy playing games. We complained twice to the front desk with no action taken. The next day we discovered the rear passenger door had been damaged. The cost to repair is $569. We have submitted this to our insurance company and feel the hotel should cover the cost. So far, Days Inn has not responded.
The Days Inn in DeSoto Texas at 1401 N IH 35E, Desoto, Texas 75115. The manager at the Days Inn name is **. On 05/21-05/24 ** without my permission went in and used my points and made a reservation using the dates listed above and I never stayed at the hotel during that time because of an outstanding bill that I owed which was paid in full. The manager there is not to be trusted.
Stayed at Days Inn in Lytle TX. on May 26th and 27th. Room numbers 111 and 112. Rooms were in terrible condition. 112 had no smoke detector and the one in room 111 did not work. Hair dryer was pulled out of wall in 111. Air conditioners in both rooms partially out of wall. A/C in 111 did not work well at all. Black mold around sink in 112. Grab bar in bathtub in 112 appears to have broken and replaced with pvc pipe. Weather stripping on doors nonexistent allowing bugs to enter rooms. Some electrical wires exposed. Appears they are using electrical extension cords. Some type of paint or coating used on bathtubs. Can only guess to cover missing enamel.
Would have left but, it was late and other hotels were full. When checking out, I tried to express my concerns and complaints with manager on duty. He could not understand what I was saying. He finally came over to the rooms and I showed him some of the items. He took my cell number so his manager could call me. Never heard a word from anyone! See attached photos.
Very dissatisfied! My nephew traveling with us was attacked by bedbugs. Bitten multiple times on his back and shoulders. They were given a new room. There was trash everywhere from remodeling. Empty buckets with room keys in them. Caulk tubes empty laying around. Breakfast was pitiful. Muffins were stale and smashed. Danish looked like it was stale also. OJ was watered down. No fresh fruit anywhere. Really feel like they should have paid us combat pay to stay there.
We just got a room in Luray, Virginia. Walked in room wasn't even cleaned from people before us, towels still left in the bathroom from the customers before us... this place is sick. We are all just disgusted with this place so far. Went to set the alarm and the grease build up on the clock was so bad it left pure as day fingerprints on each button. Literally built up grime. I wouldn't even give this place a star. Absolutely ridiculous. Not what I wanted to stay in for 110 a night. This place is a joke. What a nightmare for a clean freak!!! Don't even think about trying this place. My stomach is just in a knot right now.
Days Inn Bellevue in Bellevue, WA 98007 - I stayed at this hotel on Friday, May 5th, 2017. This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Sink was clogged, lights were out, light cover in bathroom was missing, knob to go from bath to shower was missing- only a screw there to try and tug on, hot/cold knob did not work, security lock was cut off and not replaced so no added security, mold stains on wall, mirrors dirty- I was scared to check cleanliness closely!! In the morning, the laundry carts going by on the cement sidewalks outside sound like a plane is taking off. But all of that wasn't the worst part!!! The worst part is I emailed both the General Manager and Front Office/Sales Manager and they never responded to me!! So I doubled checked the emails which were correct and sent a second email just to be sure and still no response!!! This absolutely blows me away.
I was in Hotel Management for 12 years of my life and am very sympathetic to the hotel world and I if I have any major issues with hotels, I always give them the opportunity to fix it. It's the right thing to do. And I am honestly not hard to please, I don't raise a fuss often but this room was ridiculous ladies and gentleman. DO NOT STAY HERE. The fact that a General Manager of the hotel and the Sales Manger of a hotel won't even respond to my emails blows me away. I have never heard of hotel management treating guests like this.
I guess this is the world we are in today but we can all do something about these businesses that are not out for guests anymore, we can stop giving them our business! This is a genuine response of an encounter I had. I'm not out to get anybody. It was important enough for me to take the time out of my day to write this response so people in the future don't have to make the same mistake that I made. I hope this helps someone out there who is on the fence about staying here. Don't!
When we first got to our room the toilet overflowed. The manager told us to come down and get a plunger for the toilet. We would like to have somebody come look at the toilet. When we went to go put something in the refrigerator we noticed that it wasn't working refrigerator, so we had to call again and they did send somebody up to check it out, they got it working. Went to take a shower and there was a spider in the bathtub, washed down the drain and he was back in the morning, then we killed it. After spending a full day with family we got back to the hotel close to midnight, went to the front desk to see about extending stay one more day. There was two customers in front of us. The lady that was checking in was paying for cash for her room, had to fill out a lot of paperwork and then she got her room and left.
The man in front of us that was in line was also paying for cash for his room. He wasn't required to fill out any paperwork for his room. He told the manager it was a room for two people, he came in with another man. The guy that was paying cash for the room was all bling out in gold chains, rubies, and diamonds bracelets. Scary and very unsavory looking character, (we saw the two guys get out of their car and go into the hotel) after given his key and left for his room my sister asked the manager if he knew he was a Pimp and the manager said yes but he was a paying customer.
After concluding our business with the manager went up to our room and noticed outside the window that that same two men was escorting a young lady up to the room across from our hotel room. Curious to see what was going on we watch them for several hours. The girl would leave and come back several times and then a new girl came and she would do the same thing. There was quite the ruckus going on in the room above us all night long. The next night they were there again but we did see them check in we just saw the same activity going on. My sister and our families will never stay at the Days Inn in West Covina again. We also filed a complaint with the West Covina Police Department.
4/7/17 motel stay at Days Inn Mount Hope WV. Had large amount of money with us because we were car shopping for our 16 yr old daughter. We had this money inside a large book inside a bag in the room. We mistakenly left the bag when we checked out. We returned a few hours later to retrieve the bag and noticed $900 missing. Not sure if the money was taken when we left for breakfast before we checked out or later because we did not discover the bag missing until we got down the road a little way. Either way, one of the staff admitted rambling through the bag but denied taking any money. I filed a police report with the Raleigh County Sheriff's Department and made numerous calls to Days Inn Corporate and tried to resolve the issue with the hotel owner, all having zero results. Please help.
Arrived to an old hotel with only one person at the desk to service 12 people. No terrace. Locked windows. Dirty stinky carpet. Peeling paint. No refrigerator. Not sure about bed bugs(to be continued). Was kept holding on the phone for service only to be disconnected and no one answered when I called back. Took me four tries. Only one small elevator that was creaky. Everyone cramming in because they don't want to miss the elevator that won't be back for at least 5 minutes. Help. I don't know how to get out of here. My daughter made the reservation for me as a gift. Don't know how to tell her it's a dump!!!
It was dirty and in very bad shape. Leaky ceilings and we paid $75.59 for this. False advertising. Nothing like the pictures advertised. I WANT A REFUND OR I WILL POST ALL OF THESE PICTURES ONLINE. JUST PLAIN DIRTY!!! A RIP-OFF. One week to fix this or I will post all pictures... You should be ashamed of yourselves. We trusted you by your advertising and photos... You lied...
My husband and I booked a room for 2 nights for an event in Kentucky. The room we were given was musty smelling, dirty carpet, cold water for the shower, wallpaper peeling. We left after one night. Hotel staff denied any problems with the rooms. Said they did not smell, no other complaints. This was a lie, as other people in our group had to ask for clean sheets, and their rooms smelled. We had to stay one night. We bought Lysol. Towels were like cardboard. Awful hotel. They would not refund us for the night we didn't stay. I think this was wrong due to the horrible conditions of this hotel. Staff was awful too.
When I arrived to the hotel I originally had a reservation. They claimed that they could not find it which meant I had to pay more money out of pocket. They were so unprofessional. For some reason they didn't have me registered to the room and the housekeepers were harassing us because I guess they thought we weren't supposed to be there. They had roaches and bed bugs, toilet did not work, overrated prices, the housekeepers are lazy as hell. We basically cleaned our own room everyday. They claim they serve breakfast. That is a lie. They have no hot food, juice machine was out of order, bread with no toaster but claim they serve toast. This was the worst experience of a hotel I have ever had in my entire life and especially for that price. Do your research on hotels before you come to this one.
My husband made arrangements for our family to stay at the Corvallis, Oregon Days Inn, March 30, 2017. His company often uses the chain for people working in Eastern Washington and Oregon to stay at while working away from home. When we arrived at the motel, the outside was suspect. No cars parked in the lot, weeds and garbage on the grounds, and ill-maintained. I was suspicious about checking in, but we had already made the reservations and could not cancel.
Upon checking in, the lady was pleasant, but the place was a dive. Our room was dirty, smelly, and in need of repair. In the back parking lot was derelict cars and an overflowing dumpster. We immediately got on our phones and looked for another motel. We found one and promptly checked out. Found the Corvallis Days Inn on a Bed Bug Registry website. We were gladly out the money for the motel to not stay in that place one minute longer. DO NOT stay at the Corvallis Oregon Days Inn.
Checked into the Days Inn in Dundee MI. Front desk took forever to get us checked in. Got into the room. The smell was horrible. The ceiling in the bathroom was falling in. The vents had dust webs hanging. The coffee pot had a old used filter in it with mold.
Went to check in at the Lancaster, PA 1492 Lititz Pike on March 25. Come to find out they overbooked the hotel and the rooms I paid for were given away. I waited for an hour a manager to come, that was suppose to come in 5 minutes to get an answer to if they can find a room at another location OR to make sure my money to be refunded in full. I then asked could I speak with someone else. The front desk clerk asked the "supervisor" to come speak with me. She decided to speak to me from her back office. She tells me she's trying to find rooms but I watched her for 30 minutes laughing and joking. When I disputed that since she was in clear view the entire time, the "supervisor" tells me with my attitude I'm lucky to get anything. As I was leaving her well wishes was for me to get in an accident. This is how paying customers are treated when the hotel is at fault. I will be going to social media to make sure everyone is aware of how I was treated.
On March 10, 2017 we arrived at Days inn 5858 international Drive, Orlando FL, 328. We check in me and my husband and some family members which the agent was very rude at check-in that was a red flag. We got our keys, went up to room 283 2nd floor, put the air on and the rooms was not call down to the desk to complain. They said they would send someone, no one came, call again. It was 2 am. He said we can move if they had another room. Mind you we had to be somewhere at 6 am.
So we stay out all day, got back to the room. It was still not call down to the desk, spoke to a nasty customer service lady. She said it's nothing she can do for us in such a rule and nasty way. I asked her name. She said she don't have one so me and my husband went down stairs from the front desk, got down there and began talking. These lady were so nasty and ruled their call the cops after. They were out order to us call us names like ** and had the nerve to tell us to get out the hotel when all they had to do is fix the problem. The cops agree with them because of Florida rules which stinks gangway.
The hotel was dirty, the room smell like dogs. We were itching so I was glad to get out of there. Besides I don't think anyone should be treated like this. If you have a bad day then stay home. We ask both of them for the names. They both stated they don't have a name. They give us the wrong address. They give us 1800 international drive like we were so dumb just like they said they didn't have a name but one name was **. The other cover her badge but her name started with and m. She was a blond skinny lady with and earring in her nose, very rude, a nasty. I WOULD NEVER EVER GO TO A DAYS INN AGAIN IN MY LIFE.
My mom and I decide to do some laundry when we stand here so she went to the laundry room to the laundry and the dryer didn't work at all. She went to the front desk and was told that they couldn't do anything about the laundry room and told her that she was to walk to the laundromat a short distance away from there in the dark. She was not too happy with that but they needed to be dry before going back to the airport so she walked to there and she said that when me and her get back home she will be calling the manager and complain.
I began to stay at Days Inn on 12/05/2016 and stayed until 02/10/2017. There was no break in my stay, as they lied and told PayPal. I stayed each week without checking out. My daughter and I stayed in a room with two beds. There were roaches in the room and I began to get bitten by something, but when their maintenance person came and looked at my bed, he saw nothing. A few days later, I was lying across the bed and something moving on one of my pillows caught my attention. I sat up and looked at it and discovered it was a good sized bed bug. My daughter walked the whole pillow up to the front desk. They were very nonchalant about it, but moved us to the room next door.
The room next door was dirty and there were a lot of roaches. My daughter woke up with one in bed with her one morning. There was a water leak in the bathroom from the toilet above us spilling over and the ceiling was soiled. Once the first room was chemically treated, we moved back into the first room. There was always someone arguing in the hall using profanity and banging on the doors ready to fight. It was very discouraging. My daughter and I were not happy and she moved out. I moved into a one bedroom. There were still roaches and the ceiling had mold in the bathroom, so I began to look for another place to stay.
The people that worked the front desk were nice, but I noticed that my account began to take a hit with charges that I hadn't authorized. There were two at first, one for $50.00 and a second for $45.00. I used my PayPal account to pay for the room each week because of the invoice setup that they have. I went up to the office and asked the head clerk why my account was being charged the $95 and when he didn't give me a good answer, I called PayPal and had them cancelled. Then, there were two other transactions that were denied by PayPal that I didn't even know about.
I always paid each Friday for the upcoming week while I stayed there. In viewing my account, you can easily see each time I paid. On 01/20/2017 I paid just like every week. What I did notice was that my account was under-charged by $50 one week and overcharged the next by $50.00. I could see where they were making up the difference, but it made no sense to me why I wasn't being fully charged. I checked out of the hotel and moved to another one on 02/10/2017. That same day, they charged my account $315.00. This payment was supposed to be taken out on the 02/23/2017, but I didn't even notice that until 02/10/2017 (This is the payment I made on the twentieth).
I want to know why they waited so late to take this payment. By taking it out three weeks later, it threw my whole account off and I'm still not sure why they held it like that. My account is now in the red more than $250. This is frustrating and no payment should be held out for any reason when people are paying. I trusted Days Inn to keep up with their accounting, not inconvenience me. I have my receipts, but I have not scanned them into this complaint, but will gladly forward them to someone if necessary.
Checked in on the 4th of Feb & checked out on the 7th "Feb" at Days Inn on International Drive Orlando Florida. And this is where a lot of tourists go to not knowing because they're worried about everything else. But I traveled from the 4th to the 7th alone on the little getaway to relieve stress & the first day there I found a roach. 2nd day I wasn't there all day. Came back only just to go to sleep.
All these days here I felt something biting me. Come to find out there was bedbugs on my bed next to my pillow. I record this, took pictures, went to complain at the office & they gave me the number to call manager. So now they stated they need to do their own investigation. It will take 48hrs. Like really Days Inn. Shame on you. Pictures & videos don't lie. This is the most disgusting hotel ever. That was my first time there. My last time there. I want the money I paid for this room. What should I do. I'm about to call license and inspections on them if my room had bed bugs. All the rooms have bed bugs. I'm going to dig a hole in them so do I get a lawyer. What should I do. I have pictures and videos.
I could not give a zero star because my review wouldn't be accepted. However, this hotel should NOT be in business. I stayed in this hotel for only one night on 12/29/16 on my way to a trip overseas. I suffer from acute asthma and bronchitis and I am HIGHLY allergic to mildew and mold. The rooms have a PUNGENT and VERY STRONG smell of mildew and mold. I couldn't sleep all night long. I ended up with a horrible asthma and bronchitis attack which is lasting until this date (02/06/17). I ended up in the ER of a hospital, I am taking steroids for asthma, antibiotics for my bronchitis, another asthma medication, doing inhalation with steroids, and using my pump. I've been sick for 40 days already.
I have written to Wyndham (apparently this hotel is part of the chain) and Wyndham told me to deal with the situation directly with Days Inn & Suites, Humble, TX which I did. I've written 3 (three) emails and so far I never got a response from them. I AM DISGUSTED by this behavior on the part of the management for this hotel. This hotel should NEVER NEVER EVER be in business until they clean up the rooms from these smells. People with asthma, bronchitis and COPD could die staying there! I paid almost $68/night to get sick and so far my out of pocket expenses have exceed $300 in addition to losing days work. And ABOVE ALL my health is currently in jeopardy!
Worst hotel ever!!! The front door seemed to have been kicked in many times and you must slam it to lock it. The carpet was sticky/dirty I was scared walking without shoes. The refrigerator smelled, dirty and couldn't adjust the temp (button missing). The bathroom sink was clogged and fruit flies continued to fly out of it. Showers handle continued to turn, other people hair, hole in the wall.
AC unit doesn't work. Garbage everywhere. Mold around the toilet. Mold around the shower (inside) and (outer). Mold on the shower curtain. After I reported this to Corporate office they had the General Manager call me and she is telling me "We have 2 employees verify after housekeeping turns in the paperwork to do a double check and they all come back saying it's done." "I have verified some and they are all fine." Fire them all, including the owner.
This hotel was very dirty and had broken equipment in the room. We had planned to stay 2 nights but got up next morning and checked out and checked into another hotel. I was looking for another hotel after we step in room and looked around. We got up and didn't even take shower or make coffee because the bathtub was filthy and was afraid of coffee pot. We will not stay at this hotel again. We would suggest other people to find another hotel.
We arrived at 11 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016 and checked-in to the Days Inn Lakeview at Mackinaw City, MI. Upon carrying suitcases up the side stairway, I noticed a warped and soft step. This was just the first bad step of a very negative experience… We picked Days Inn Lakeview, Mackinaw City, Michigan from a variety of website hotel ads and a AAA book. We wanted to stay on a beachfront hotel to enjoy the beach and lake for a special family vacation. We had booked two rooms that night and had four rooms booked for the following night.
The ad on the website mackinawcity.com for Days Inn Lakeview and in the AAA travel books show the hotel on a light tan beach looking site that runs from the hotel to the lake. In the ad in AAA, it says "a half mile of Private Sandy Beach" The hotel actually sits on a site with a gravel and grass parking lot in between the hotel and the lake. Our main reason for booking this hotel was based on the photo and description of the hotel. The photo and the descriptions in the advertisements are not correct - the photo must have been "photoshopped" and the description is misleading.
Our family had two hotel rooms for August 19th both of which had major maintenance issues. Here is what we experienced… Room #228… No outlets that worked to charge 3 devices. Wall outlet broken. Ceiling light of bathroom hanging off ceiling. Shower control handle broken with large chunk out of it. Molding broken and missing by slider. Molding at ceiling hanging. No Do Not Disturb sign for door. Room #229… Upon check-in hot, muggy and could not get A/C on. Hair dryer holder broken and hair dryer laying on sink area. No toilet paper holder - screws & metal in wall, roll just sitting on back of toilet. Shower not workable - control unit unable to pull out to turn on. Wash basin has no stopper - can’t hold water. No trim under window, drywall showing. No hotel information/phone number book.
Main hotel area trash overflowing in container, steps filthy, dead flowers in flower boxes. Breakfast area - filthy carpet not swept by counters or wall, OJ and eggs both tasted bad, wanted to listen to news/weather - worker singing out loud throughout our breakfast. Not only were these conditions terrible but what made the experience worse was when we asked for the General Manager early Saturday morning to talk about the concerns and ask to cancel the next nights due to the conditions. She definitely was the worst representative I have ever met and I have been in management and customer service for over 30 years.
We explained the situation - that there were numerous problems with our rooms and that the hotel was definitely not on a beach, as depicted in the website photo. We said due to this we would like to cancel the four rooms we had for Saturday night due to the maintenance problems and misrepresentation of a beach. We asked that we not be charged a cancellation fee. She not only did not want to hear our concerns or what was the issues with the rooms... Quickly snapping “I’ll send maintenance up. He’ll handle everything”. We tried to explain that they were not quick fixes. I asked if she didn’t want to know what they were. “No, you go over that with maintenance”… Hmm this is my vacation and I have to go over items with maintenance. Yes, that is what we did with the maintenance as he was in the rooms for over an hour. The maintenance guy kept saying “Oh my” when we showed him the problems.
When we mentioned the step that is warped and possibly a future injury liability problem he stated he never uses those steps. He preceded to change wall outlet shocking himself. He said he would have to get a plumber and didn’t know when that would be for the shower and sink issues. Of course, he would have to go to a hardware store to repair molding issues, hair dryer and toilet paper holder issues.
The manager never said “I’m sorry” or showed any concern that the rooms were not up to standard. She stated that she will be charging the $50 per room plus tax cancellation fee. $220 in total. I asked if it is not worth it for $200 not to have upset customers that will review the hotel badly. She immediately very harshly said “okay, if you are going to review us then I am charging the full room night charge for each room on your mother’s credit card right now!” We could not believe what we were hearing.
My mother getting very upset. (This was a special and maybe last trip that she will go on with her family.) She wanted to speak and explain that she tried to call the front desk late last night since the A/C was not working and it was very hot in her room. She then wanted to take a shower to cool off but it didn’t work. She couldn’t even put water in the sink basin to wash off. She said she tried to find a number to call but couldn’t (no book in her room).
The response to these concerns by the manager was that this 93 year old who walks with a cane should have come down to the front desk at 11:30 p.m. and told someone. Really?! No apology or concern by the general manager. We decided all we wanted was to get out of there and quick! We did not have a chance to use the indoor pool or walk on the parking lot by the lake. We never saw a heated outdoor pool, fitness facility or told about unlimited access to 3 indoor waterparks that is mentioned in the AAA Tour book advertisement. I do not believe they have an outdoor pool or fitness facility as mentioned in the advertisement. We were charged the $222 and could not get this off our credit card billing.
The general manager lied about us booking "lake view rooms vs. lakefront rooms" and threatened us into signing for the cancellation fee. NO consumer should have to pay a cancellation fee for rooms that are not maintained, items unusable and in a hotel that is filthy. Let alone being deceived by the advertisement. Consumers should be aware of this hotel especially when paying $133 a night!
I am physically handicapped and had a very bad experience at Days Inn, 4400 Connecticut Ave, Wash DC and was humiliated and mistreated, moved from room to another in spite of my physical movement limitation and overcharged from the contract rate and then charged for a complimentary parking at a Handicap Parking. Ms. ** mislead and would not answer phone calls or respond to faxes and mislead me that she would be issuing credit for $30 plus $23.70 for the overcharge. She would not give me the copy of the contract and claimed she could not find the contract copy. This establishment should be questioned for this and held accountable for their actions.
I booked a suite recently at the Days Inn Golden Colorado. Immediately there were issues. We were on the 3rd floor and the elevator didn't work. The key scan on the back door, where we were told to park, did not work. On entering the suite, we noticed there was not a TV in the bedroom. With all the other issues, I assumed we just ended up in a crappy hotel. Apparently, there should have been a tv in the bedroom and 7 days later there was a $500 charge on my debit card from Days Inn. When calling to find out what the charge was for, they accused me of stealing a TV. I had to call the police department to start an investigation. Days Inn offered no recourse nor apology. It has been 11 days now and they have not reversed the charge. Leaving me with multiple bounced check charges. I am beyond angry and will never utilize a Days Inn again.
Booked place though Hotel Power for $86. We didn't stay since they have policy of not letting people in if they have local driver license. Front desk person told us we gonna get a refund. 4 weeks passed. Hotel Power is not helping us to get money back. Both Manager and General manager are refusing to help. They told Expedia that we stayed there and we never did. They oversold their own rooms and charge 2 people. How illegal. Worst part we cannot get money back.
We stayed at the Days Inn by the Winnipeg Airport Dec 29. For the money $160 this was the worst hotel stay I can say we have ever had. The rooms and pool area all mediocre. Not worth that price. Three hours after check in we were called saying we had to come back to the desk because we didn't "check in" properly. At some time after midnight we were called by the front desk citing a noise complaint.
We had long since sleeping and this call woke us all. Upon check out I wanted to use my debit card and have my cc refunded. No. Not company policy. (I also don't agree with instant cc card upon reservation either). It's just to hold the room. Not pay it in advance. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. The only thing I can say is that the girl working the front desk was very pleasant. Won't stay again.
Do not use a third party when booking. Used Hotwire to book a room - "Secret Deal" - showed up and no room available at Days Inn, Birmingham, Alabama, when I arrived. They said Hotwire should never have sold it. Found out later, Days Inn charged my account. They told AMEX that it was a non cancellation booking AND that someone had checked in. I am sure SOMEONE did check in....just not me! Days Inn sold the room twice and took two payments - how illegal. I am still trying to get copies of check in documents from Days Inn to PROVE I checked in. They keep stalling, saying the person who can help me won't be in till midnight and call back then.
Had reserved a room for Thanksgiving Holiday. The door James didn't want to open I guess from the carpet fit...then pulled the sheets up to check for bedbugs and found the mattress totally slit open. I have pictures. It was Day's Inn west Ocala, FL. They told me upfront they could do nothing. There are 2 more Days Inn in Ocala, but they are privately owned. I finally got a refund and left with no apology. It was room 127. Trust me don't stay there.
Thanksgiving evening 2016. My husband and I decided to stay in StL MO instead of driving home. I rented a room through hotels.com. It was 83.00, paid online for a room at Days Inn on Craig rd in Maryland Heights, MO. We checked in around 10 pm. I was mortified by the filth. I spent the next couple hrs trying to photograph and contact Days Inn to complain instead of relaxing. We stripped the bed down and used emergency blankets we carry in our trunk. They were way cleaner than what was on the bed or the pullout couch. It actually had just been folded up with visibly dirty sheets pocket change and Cheetos.
We used the pitiful excuse for towels and wash cloths to wipe tables to store my purse clothes etc because the floor wasn't an option. The wifi wouldn't connect, couldn't shower after feeling so dirty because it was gross and not enough towels. Was up 'til probably 3:30 am before finally falling asleep. I slept with my slippers on, didn't want to forget and walk on carpet, wow. Left Friday morning, checked my bank acct. and was charged 83 for the room and an additional 73.00 for incidentals??? Wasn't informed of that charge. Called the motel and was told I would receive it back probably by Mon. Won't hold my breath on that. This place should be fined and closed.
One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I accidentally left my makeup bag at the hotel and called a few days later to get it returned. The man told me I could not get it sent back to me because he could not take my credit card and address information (which he already had because I paid to stay there). So I had to order a prelabel to send to them so they could return my bag after a long complicated process. After 2 weeks I received an empty makeup bag with all of my things missing. I had 200 dollars worth of stuff on my bag and I am extremely disappointed in whoever stole it and the customer service I received. When I called to complain, nothing added up and said they should have been able to send it to me days later and that whoever I was talking with did not follow their return lost items policy.
Everyone kept saying there was nothing they could do to help throughout the whole process and did not value me as a customer at all. I DO NOT recommend staying at a Days Inn after my experiences there. I do not normally make complaints about people, but this was the worst I have ever been treated. I understand that I forgot something and that is my fault, but if you want to succeed as a company you must treat the people paying for your services with respect and care. I received neither of those things from Days Inn.
I was really disappointed that I paid $80 to stay in this nasty hotel. Cigarette ashes still in the room. Dust about an inch thick. The tub was dirty! I did not shower, I did not sleep under the covers. The sheets were paper thin and I requested another one just to lay on top to get through the night. I won't mention the smell. Overall the place is not ready to be used at all. Totally disgusted. I wish I could get every cent back. I give this place a negative 99.
Stayed one night at the Days Inn, Red Wing Mn. It was disgusting, torn carpet, stained bed sheets, light fixture in bathroom was one exposed bare bulb, definitely an electrical hazard. Was afraid to shower in the morning. The temp control knob in small dirty fridge fell off, our food and drink froze, the knob was so dirty on underside almost vomited. The area for breakfast was so small only one person at a time. The manager was rude. NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. Cost me 102.00 for a horrible night. Can't believe this is a Wyndham property. DISGUSTING.
When I stayed at Days Inn Panguitch for one night, I was charged double. The past few weeks I have been trying to get it resolved and get my money back, but efforts have been entirely useless. I don't feel that my concerns have been heard b
