CheapOair keeps giving me a hard time, excuses and delaying the refund of my ticket. The flight was canceled by the airline due to mechanical issues with the plane, and they advise that ticket was fully refundable, to request refund to my agency. Please advise.
Marielena, your flight was on Sept 6 you called us the same day because the airline had a last minute cancellation. You haven't even given us time to request the refund. As it was explained to you, we request it from TAP and it takes 4-6 weeks,. it's not an instant refund like in a store.

They have been very helpful in making my reservations for travel between SFO, CA, and New Delhi, India. However, there were two things for which we have to call them back. Our request for specific meals was not correctly reported on the ticket. This was later corrected after reminding the error. I feel that passengers should not pay for seat selection. Other than these two items we have no problems with the service we received. In future, definitely we shall first consider this outfit for our travel needs and may suggest to others.

Did not reveal that there was a fee charged that resulted in them being the most expensive site to purchase a ticket. Said a flight was not available when it actually was which resulted in a flight being booked out of desperation. Upon discovering inaccurate info & booking the originally desired flight resulted in a $200.00 fee by CheapOAir. Without question the worst travel site we have dealt with in 30 years. Employees poorly trained & hard to understand maybe because they're in India.

Complication: I reserved my seats, I thought. A confirmation appeared on my computer screen. When verifying w/ the airlines, none were shown as being made. They made them. If I would have assumed; it would not have been a good situation. But maybe your representatives could mentioned that verifying should be done. All the duplicate "paperwork" emails I received was complicated for me to work through. I have no "formal" complaints though and the representatives seemed to have their duties down pat.

Due to hurricane that hit Cabo San Lucas Sept 2014, my husband and I had to re-book our American Airline Ticket since the resort was badly damaged & were usable to use the October 2014 airline tickets. We had a balance of about $1100.00 to use after each ticket was charged $75.00 penalty. We rescheduled another trip for this year (2015) in August before we lost the $1100.00. BUT CheapOair charged another $388.50 to re-book ticket. Then when we get to LAX American Airlines charge us another $164.25 for the re-booking. Total charges for this trip was $1652.75. Cheapo representative said $75.00 each was the only charge we had to pay since the airport in Cabo was closed. They need to tell us upfront all the charges that will be incurred after a re-booking. I feel $388.50 was just too much to charge as a penalty.

I was going through several trip reservations (Air-hotels-rentals) for a trip between NY and CA, in which there were twice sudden needs to change reservations. In the original and first redo I used Priceline.com. The reservations were easily made, the savings comparable to other sites but when I tried to reschedule and make adjustments, there was no alternative given but to take a 100% loss on first reservation especially irksome with reference to a motel booking (where I would have thought I was doing them a favor by offering to pay a cancellation fee, while giving them the option to resell the room). No go. Full loss.
The second scheduling of the trip involved partial use of Priceline, for one hotel booking (that had carried over) but I used CheapOair as the service for scheduling Air Travel, another hotel, and car rental. My bad luck, the person I was going to rendezvous with took sick and I needed to reschedule again to change the destination city. Priceline, for the carry over hotel booking, again just took my money and said in effect "Sorry Charlie that's our policy, goodbye."
CheapOair on the other hand, were considerate of the dilemma, explained clearly their policy on airfare (a upfront fee for making the change plus or minus whatever the new revised scheduled flight costs were against what I had already committed). The changes were made, the additional costs made up for by the savings from their in effect, 'no problems no extra costs cancellation of the hotel and car rental charges.' In regard to the car rental, there might have otherwise have been a cancellation charge, but the CheapO rep waived it (I think in apology for the $300 extra I was paying for the flight changes). Needless to say, CheapOair, will be my choice for trip scheduling in future (and Priceline has been erased from my bookmarks).

My fiancé and I were scheduled to fly out Monday for our baby shower with my family in PA. With an approaching hurricane scheduled to hit our area of FL that day, we decided it would be better to change our flights to leave a little earlier. I had purchased the flight protection due to my pregnancy in case anything were to happen. Thinking this may cover the change in flights I called to speak to someone to confirm this. Spoke to what I thought was a very nice man that assured me we could file a claim and it would be cheaper to purchase a new ticket with him over the phone rather than switch the flights through American Airline. I don't own a major credit card and my fiancé was at work, so the flight he said was $498 I was going to put on my bank card (our original flights were $525). Later in the call asking to verify payment after adding protection to these flights, he gives me a price of almost $1000!
I immediately said no. We can't afford $1000 for a flight, especially after having seen the exact flight on their website for $770 for both. Why would I pay almost $300 more?? He gave me the booking number in case I changed my mind and we ended our call. I then proceeded to go online to book the flights, when a message came up saying I had already booked with the same booking number I had been given. Checked my bank account and they had taken $690 out to pay for the flight I wasn't booking, almost draining that account.
After about another hour on the phone with another person I'm getting a refund, but in 7-14 days! I'm a full time student, work 3 days a week, and 5 months pregnant. This company pretty much drained my bank account 2 days before I leave for vacation. Way to ruin my vacation CheapOair. We rebooked with Expedia. Not sure why I ever left them. Won't make that mistake again! And none of my friends and family will either.

Our daughter used our credit card to book a flight through CheapOair. We had previously used the same credit card to book flights for our son. CheapOair switched my daughter's ticket to my son's name. Our mistake was not looking at the confirmation email. But why would CheapOair do this? Is it because they know the ticket can't be used? They charged us a $50.00 cancellation fee and said we would get a credit that my son could use but when we got the email confirming this, this was also a $200.00 re-booking fee. Shame on CheapOair! Use anyone but them. They are obviously now operated by scoundrels!
Updated on 08/30/2015: CheapOair responded and said that my college educated daughter put her brother's name instead of her name when she went online to buy a ticket for herself or that my son (who is on the west coast) went online to buy a round trip between Baltimore and Denver for himself. Pure BS. In reality, CheapOair's system changed the reservation from my daughter's name to my son's name. Maybe this was a glitch in CheapOair's computer system or maybe they do this intentionally so they can screw people on tickets. Our only fault was not looking at the confirmation email, but even if we had, CheapOair might have still been in denial and would have tried to sell us another ticket. They get over by offering to give you a credit but you have to pay a $50 cancellation fee on the worthless ticket and a $200 re-booking fee on the next. Crooks! Don't deal with these people!

I booked a flight from LAX to JFK. I got a flight instead from Ontario to LaGuardia airport. I am not aware that the search engine gave me an alternate search. I assumed that it still had the preferred airport I chose as does Kayak and Cheaptickets.com. Anyways I booked 2 flights and I realized after work when I read the confirmation email that my flight departed from Ontario to LaGuardia instead of what I initially searched. Long story short I called back as soon as I read the email, approx. a couple hours after an employee of CheapOair.com Tristian employee code #** so called assisted me. Well he was the most disrespectful rep I have ever came across.
I understood completely what he was saying. He chose to talk over me as I was asking to speak to a supervisor. He informed that he will transfer me after he says what he has to say to me first, also assured me that it's nothing his supervisor could do. I listened to him and it's really too much to write but he was overall extremely rude and he had very poor customer service skills.
Although they never fixed my ticket or changed anything (supposedly I was over the 24 hour limit to make any changes. WHICH I WAS NOT) the insure only exchanges your ticket or reimburse when you are injured or have a family crisis. I understood the entire dilemma but that rude rep needs to be fired. I don't mind taking the ride to Ontario from Los Angeles. The site also is not a good site to use. You will be tricked. Stick to Kayak or a site that has been advertised properly. CheapOair will give you tricky poor service. I stand by this review. Overall the employee needs to be fired (TRISTON) and the site needs to update it functioning.

When I called the first time, I was told that the agent could not find the booking, after giving him my CheapOair confirmation and the American Airlines confirmation letters. After 4 phone calls over 3 hours (most of it on hold), I spoke to a supervisor who discovered the error and tried to book another flight. After insisting that I wanted that flight, he finally got back to me and assured that the ticket had been obtained. Still, no boarding passes were available.
When we went to the airport, the American Airlines agent informed me that only one ticket was purchased and we had to buy the second (of two) tickets then. I kept going down the list, with each ticket becoming more and more expensive and I was still told that this fare is unavailable. I finally called and spoke to an agent, who managed to book the ticket for me at $978.66 by applying some bonuses. While not terribly pleased, it was still better than what I was able to do by myself online.
A few hours later, I again went into your site and saw that there were tickets listed at considerably less than what I had paid. I again called an agent and within a few minutes he told me that I would be getting a $90.00 refund within a few days. Although still slightly more that what I tried to book originally, I was nevertheless very pleased that this ticket was within the range of what I had expected to pay and quite taken with the excellent service. To my surprise the representative told me that it is possible for the ticket to be refunded, but it will cost me 300$ cancellation fee. I asked several times "Are you going to refund me the full amount of 3300?" and the representative said "Yes". I agreed paid the 300$ cancellation fee.
A month later I received a refund for 227$, when I was expecting about 3300. When I called and asked what is going on with this refund, I was told by their billing department that the air company refused to refund the ticket. When I asked "Why did you tell me that it would be refunded then?", they said "We have not told you this". I guess implying that I'm lying and I will pay 300$ to get a refund of 227$, on ticket that is 3300. We booked 2 tickets roundtrip LAX/BOM/LAX in July for travel 12/31/15, only to learn a couple of weeks later that our tour operator made a mistake in the itinerary and we needed to change our return flight. We spent at least 5 hours on the phone with multiple customer service agents in India, each stating different facts, promises to get us a call back from a supervisor (that never came), referring us to the airline for changes, being referred back to CheapOair by the airline, and now after 8 days, still no resolution. Agents give their names and say they can be called back, but when you try, no one can ever find them. You're asked for their operator number (which they never provide), and then when you ask the operator asking for the other's operator number, you're told they change everyday, so have zero value.
The flights we want to change to are currently available on the CheapOAir website - at the same fare we paid, and the agent is telling us this is just for new customers NOT people who need to change their flights. So it would appear we are being forced into purchasing completely new tickets, even though we've told them we understand there is a change fee - which by the way, is 3x the fee the airline would assess. We're not changing carriers at all - just return date. Are you able to refer us to a regulatory agency to which we can file a complaint?

I received an email from CheapOair regarding a major flight schedule change and they provided an alternate option that was unacceptable. I called the customer service desk immediately. I was on hold for over ten minutes and got through to their department in India. The customer service representative was not helpful and after 15 minutes the man was insistent that I call Air Canada Reservations to change my flight schedule. I called AC Toronto Reservations and a woman told me that CheapOair was responsible for changing my flight and that there is nothing AC could do on their end. I called CheapOair back and asked to speak with a supervisor so that I may resolve this issue.
After 10 minutes of asking me questions about my situation and "speaking with a supervisor," the representative took my number and said a supervisor would call me back within 24 hours. It has been a week and a lady from the New York office left a voicemail on my phone, only to give me the same option that was given in the previous email that I replied as "I do not accept this schedule change." Finally, I got through to someone named Robert, from the Las Vegas flight schedule change department and he was able to give me a better option. This is my first experience doing business with CheapOair, and I'm not sure if I'd do it again because of the customer service representatives in India and New York. Robert from Las Vegas definitely made me happy and I will think about booking with cheapoair.com again despite the previous experience that I would describe as terrible.

I had called CheapOair and made a reservation for my son to fly from Denver to Newark, NJ. I told the associate the dates and made a reservation. To make a long story short, the associate never told me my son would need to change airports from Dulles to Reagan at 5:30 in the morning. If I was told that he needed to get to another airport 20+ miles away, I would have never made that reservation, ever.
When I emailed CheapOair the woman rep admitted the associate did not tell me after listening to our recorded conversation. But they would not refund the taxi cost because my son did not get a receipt - it was not a business trip where he would have some reimbursement! Don't you know it was his complete responsibility to get to the other airport? Actually it was more expensive than any other flight he could have taken with the stress. You would think it was a no brainer to refund the taxi because we were NEVER told about an airport change which I have never done myself as a business traveler and CheapOair doesn’t care about their clients at all. My experience with CheapOair was very stressful and I will never deal with them again. I used their website to book my honeymoon trip flights with them with one failed attempt. ATTEMPT #1: I found a great price on our flights on CheapOair website (same price was available on all other sites). I jumped at the opportunity and booked right away. I received a confirmation email from CheapOair almost right away confirming my booking.
A day and a half later, however, I saw another email from CheapOair (which in the subject just looked like another booking confirmation) that stated that CheapOair tried contacting me on the phone (a supposed phone call that I never received) and they need me to confirm my purchase since it was over a certain amount of dollars. I called the number on the e-mail and the customer service representative said that the information I provided for my credit card did not match EXACTLY the information with my bank and that my bank has a rule that for purchases over certain amount, information has to match EXACTLY what is on their file before they will let a payment through (LIE #1, I contacted my bank and they do not have this rule. That was Cheapoair policy. In fact, I was told by my bank that CheapOair tried putting through a payment of 0$ to check if everything was ok and it went through with no issue).
So after confirming all of my information with the CheapOair representative I was told that tickets will be issued within hours and sent to my email. I DID NOT RECEIVE TICKETS. I called CheapOair again to find out why my tickets haven't been issued. At that point the representative told me that the price of tickets went up by $300!!! That is a big difference from the original price for two people, a significant amount for a young couple on a budget!!! I did not want to pay that much so my booking was cancelled. CheapOair did not take ANY responsibility about the fact that they FAILED to contact me in time and could have put my payment through right away and didn't, and LIED about the reason, and then never bothered to contact me when price went up so my tickets just weren't going to be issued unless I CALLED!
ATTEMPT #2. The price for our flights continued to rise and we never saw the same deal again as the first time. So finally when we saw a slight decrease in the price we decided to buy again with CheapOair. This time the price was $350 more per person compared to the first one we saw. I didn't want to take any chances so I called CheapOair and booked over the phone with an agent. There was some negotiation with the price since he wouldn’t give us the price advertised on the web. Reasons given were: you need to pay extra to check one bag which is not true since this is an international flight, and that the price with the airlines has gone up.
Finally, after talking to his manager we settled on a price and received a confirmation email with the price as quoted over the phone. Four hours later still no email with the tickets. I called CheapOair back and the person over the phone said they will issue the tickets right now. When I received the email the price on the tickets was $150 more per person than the quote. We were NOT notified that the price went up, and my credit card was charged at a higher price.I was outraged and called CheapOair back AGAIN to find out what happened. The answer I got was “we don't know what happened” and that I need to speak with the agent that we booked with. I said I want to only pay what was agreed upon and that I want to speak to a manager. I was told that a manager is going to call me back and that the agent that I made that booking with is also going to call me back. NO ONE called.
I also called the airline to make sure the tickets I received are even real. The airline representative said that, “Yes, it’s all good” and mentioned the price that the tickets were purchased for and it was $180 less per person than what we paid. So that was a bunch of BS from the CheapOair guy that the price went up with the airline. NEVER booking with them again. Very unprofessional, unreliable, and frankly sneaky company! After all of this we ended up paying $1000 more for our tickets than we could have, have I gone with a different booking company to begin with.

I was simply inquiring about a refund and at no point authorized a cancellation of the booking. I was told I would receive an answer in 15 days. The 15 days passed with no contact so I called again on July 6, July 14, July 20, July 23, July 29, and August 10. Each time I was given a different excuse as to why it was taking such a long time for a response. At one point, the customer service representative told me it was taking a long time because it was a lot of money involved. I contacted the airline and was advised that CheapOair is a travel agent and that the airline has nothing to do with the tickets since CheapOair owns the tickets.
Furthermore, I found out on August 10 from the airline that CheapOair cancelled my booking on June 23, which was the very first call I made to them. For almost two months, CheapOair has lied to me by telling me that my booking was still in place and it even shows as an upcoming trip on their website. According to the airline, my four tickets have already been sold to someone else and the flight is now unavailable. I called CheapOair and asked to speak to a supervisor. The person was argumentative and was caught in several lies during the call. The supervisor refused to help and said he could only book another flight to include charging me an additional $800 plus any difference in the airfare. My original flight is no longer available and all he can do is cite a no guarantee policy. The no guarantee is for the refund. I did not expect CheapOair to cancel my booking, sell my four tickets, and keep the $2,268.84. This seems like larceny to me.

From Fayetteville to Fort Smith! Without any notice! This misled me to book a wrong ticket! I fully trust this search engine, and thinking that it would only change the date to offer good prices but not the destination, which doesn't make any sense if it is changed. But it did change it and without any warning!
Now, the ticket is not refundable. I have to drive additional hours to get to my destination and this disrupts my schedule as well! Thanks a lot CheapOair! It is understandable to display results with near date and destination as a reference to travelers to help them make better decisions. But they should be displayed at the bottom of the hits with a big notice stating that these are results with dates and locations changed. It is very dishonest and irresponsible to display such results as the first few hits simply because the related prices are lower than that offered by its honest competitors, while misleading travelers to book flights they don't want. Won't use CheapOair ever. It doesn't even have basic integrity and honesty. Very angry and disappointed.

I do not recommend CheapOair.com. We bought tickets for JFK-Bucharest trip via Berlin in March for August 2015. Flight from JFK to Bucharest via Berlin was ok. But our flight back was cancelled and nobody bothered to notify us, we found out in the airport at 4am, having 2 kids with us. The information desk said that it was strange as we were the only ones asking about Bucharest-Berlin flight. We called the CheapOair.com who said that they did not have any updates about the flight and everything should go as scheduled, put us on hold to investigate but hung up on us after 30 min of waiting. We called the Air Berlin who asked us in a very clear English to call later as there was nobody speaking English at that time.
Clarification came from Menzies airport office who told us that our Bucharest-Berlin flight was changed to a day before (from August 6 to August 5), without any notification sent, without any information regarding the accommodation for the night, and that flight Berlin-JFK remained unchanged. The lady also mentioned that OUR FLIGHT had been CANCELLED a MONTH BEFORE, still nobody at the CheapOair.com made the changes in their systems, notified the customers. The help came from Menzies who called their offices and changed our tickets to Lufthansa flight via Frankfurt for the same day at a later hour. Although we safely got home with just a few hours late, I believe that CheapOair.com showed professional negligence towards its customers.
We understand that flight changes may occur but customers should be notified in advance, especially when there is plenty of time to do so. Those few dollars saved with acquiring the tickets on CheapOair.com do not pay their lack of reliability. In addition, it is impossible to post a negative review on their website. At the end they gave the other passenger another seat but the plane left 2 hours later!!! When I arrived in Montevideo I had to see a doctor to treat one of my knees. I could hardly walk because of the tight seats. When I returned, in San Pablo they told me and two more passengers we do not have seat. Finally, I could come back.

I wanted 4 airline tickets & auto, the price was 654.00 per ticket, but on my billing it is now 737.82, and my auto I am to pay when I pick it up and was charge a fee to do this. I was thinking that I would get a better pricing by do both auto & airline tickets. It was better if I did it on my own. Plus I ask for seating, but that was not done.

After receiving confirmation of my reservation I clicked the link to select seats for my flights. There was no indication that this would not be free. I was brought to the seat selection page. After sending one request for a window seat (the seat map was not working), I noticed a $13.95 charge for "Enhanced Seat Selection" and there was no way to cancel. This is dishonest, because 1) people expect this to be free, 2) there was no indication this would not be free, and 3) it was impossible to cancel.

I purchased tickets from this website to go to NYC. I was charged $12 for select my seats and a $22 service fee for using their website. Nowhere on the website does it say that you will be charged for selecting your seats. I was able to get a refund on the seat selection. I then asked the rep about the service fee on my receipt that it was nowhere to be found. The rep kept on yelling at me, and would not let me speak. She told me that the only way to get an invoice is by asking for it. I explained to her that how is that fair to the customer. That the only way that they can see what they are being charged for is by asking for it. I also explained to her that on my confirmation email that it did not say anything about this. She continued to yell at me and I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. She then said it usually takes about 20 to 30 mins for a supervisor. I told her I am fine waiting for that.
She still then continued to yell at me and asked if I would prefer to speak to the billing department I said "yes". The billing lady had an attitude and better explained to what the charges were and how much I would be charged on my account. I also told her that the previous lady was yelling at me and did not understand what I was saying. She said "oh sorry", and asked if I needed more help. I said "no" and she said "ok have a good day" and hung up the phone. I recommend never using this site, the employees have no customer service skills.

We liked booking over the phone with an agent. However, our agent was very hard to understand because of his strong accent. After we got our itinerary printed we realized one of the children's names were spelled incorrect (one letter different). We are working with CheapOair, presently to correct this mistake. We are confident that CheapOair will correct this to make us satisfied.

CheapOair website doesn't work well. The actual cost is not displayed in the website, there could be hidden cost. The promo code discount seems to be a scam as the applied promo code discount doesn't get reflected during reservation. Above all, worst customer care service. After waiting for almost 2 hours to cancel my reservation as I noticed after reservation that the actual cost was not displayed during reservation, I have been yelled by the customer care representative in a very unprofessional manner to call in a day time if I couldn't wait.
I as a customer spent 2 hrs and still not able to take hold on the customer service to cancel my reservation and the customer care representative responded in such an unprofessional way. I have been told by him I could hung up the phone on him. CheapOair indicates their customer care service is 24/7 which is not true. I vow I will never use CheapOair again. CheapOair, you just lost 3 customers (2 of my friends were with me while I was calling the customer care to cancel the reservation and more than me they're pissed off due to 2+ hrs waiting period).

I called to book over the phone a round trip for my husband and an incoming flight for his mom for abroad. He booked round trip for both causing hers to be completely cancelled for not using the outgoing tickets. When we call they keep on transferring in between departments. Say they are working with airline to get everything how it is supposed and that they will call us in 2-3 business days with a resolution but they never call and we call again. The cycles repeats in which we have even had supervisors raising their voice to us, cutting us in a very condescending and rude manner and hanging up on us and then having the guts of emailing us saying they try to reach us! And when we call same thing and this has being going for weeks.
We asked to be transferred to executive office and got the billing department voice mail, etc. So far they are the worst company to book a flight with and we are seeking how to report them to all the consumer agencies, media and even thinking of pursuing legal action as we have recorded most of this conversations and had them admit in some of them their mistake. The flight is supposed to depart from US to another country in 8/12/15 and this is the time they had not resolved anything.
This has been resolved

Bad dialect. Not honest on what has to be paid them, you are surprised when you get the bill. I will never use CheapOair again. I will tell my relatives too not to use. People were nice but it was fake. They did not call back then they said, "I'm sorry." They weren't sorry, they just want your money.

I booked a flight to Ireland for my friend through CheapOair flights. They booked Ryanair. They failed to send confirmation of the flight and after 24 hours and numerous calls to the company I received an Email confirmation regarding the flights to and from Ireland. The Email appeared to be sent from Ryanair. On checking the information, we noticed that the baggage requested was 15kgs. I had requested 20 kgs. Neither Ryanair nor CheapOair flights would accept responsibility. An extra £30 was paid by my friend to Ryanair for changing the baggage weight even though it was not our mistake.
When it came to booking the boarding pass for my friend 2 days before she left, the website would not allow this. I spoke to a customer service agent whose English was very poor and difficult to understand. It took 3 further calls to be told that it was down to CheapOair to sort out. They in turn were denying any responsibility as I had no email from them to suggest that any booking had been done through them! One agent hung up on me and the second refused to discuss it any further. This has been a nightmare and I have no hesitation in refusing a recommendation for this company. They have accepted no responsibility for appalling service and I would never use them again.

I wanted to warn others about using CheapOair. I booked 2 separate airline reservations in June 2015 using CheapOair for a recent trip to Europe. The bookings were separate and charged to 2 separate credit cards. Both of my cards were overcharged for both bookings. And not in USD as the website said - in foreign currency (one in euros and the other in British pounds). That doesn't seem like a one-time mistake but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Over the course of 6 weeks, I called 4 times, I sent 2 emails and included confirmation emails from them stating what the correct charges should have been, then statements from my credit card showing the fraudulent overcharges. Still nothing. Everytime I call they ask me to resend the statements for review - then no action and the cycle starts again.

On 8/3/15, I booked a flight from Miami to San Francisco for a friend that will be visiting. I found a very good deal on CheapOair.com which was cheaper than other similar websites. After booking the flight, I never received an email confirmation so I called the company which took about 15 minutes to answer my call. The male customer service rep was able to find the reservation and emailed me the confirmation receipt. He then told me that the ticket number had not yet been issued but I would receive it within the next four hours. In addition, this rep was extremely pushy on selling the $14.99 flight protection insurance which I had to deny about four times. On 8/4/15, I checked my email and never received the ticket number like he stated I would get in four hours. It had now been about 15 hours with no ticket number. I began researching customer reviews for this company and found many negative reviews.
Some of the reviews were about mistakes on the customer's ticket and others had problems changing their flight reservations. I ended up calling this company again and the female customer service rep was very helpful and polite. She looked at my reservation and did not know why the ticket number had not been issued since everything on my end appeared fine. She placed me on hold and contacted the ticket issuing department and after a few minutes of waiting she provided me with my ticket number and an email confirmation. Overall, the issues had been resolved and I got good customer service the second time I called, but I would be hesitate to use this company again to book another flight since two mistakes happened for one booking reservation. Luckily, both did not end up costing me anything to fix, but it's very concerning that there are issues with issuing flight tickets which could be very problematic if not caught in time.

We booked last Wednesday the 29/07/2015, on the telephone through a Sydney Australia phone number - cost $775 au. We didn't get a receipt. The next day we phoned for a receipt - couldn't give us one. We had to wait for billing. Next day Friday - we called back. We found out we had been charged $1067, as it's American company - we were never told! We were refunded a infant seat - as we were charged by our airline, they said "No you weren't." We tried to change our times ever since as we noticed he has booked us on wrong flight!!! The wrong flight even though he clearly checked and confirmed the flight times with us. Now because we couldn't get receipt within 24 hours they keep passing us around and hanging up on us, and won't assist us to clear this up. It's now been 6 days of stress. I just want our flights fixed up. They are scam artists!!

Our vacations started with a very unpleasant situation at the airline front desk at the time of checking in. After two years of not going anywhere due to the nature of my business, we finally planned a trip to Spain for two weeks. I was told before not to book airplane tickets through CheapOair but the price of the tickets multiply by each of my family members convinced me to book these tickets with CheapOair. I made a mistake of ignoring a friend's advice from his previous bad experience with CheapOair.
I planned my trip and booked these tickets 3 months in advance. A few weeks later I got an email saying the tickets I purchased were overbooked. They forced me to change the date so our vacation had to be planned again. I was okay so far with this because I had the time to re-organize our trip. Then I realized we are stuck with CheapOair. Tickets were not refundable, and they only gave me two optional dates to pick from. (That did not sound right.) Two days ago, we arrived to Miami international airport very excited to take finally some time off from work. After a long wait in the line we reached the check-in point. When we were doing the check-in the attendant looked confused. He said, "I need to talk to the manager, something is wrong with your tickets."
After a few stressful minutes the attendant came to us and he said, "You need to go to another desk. Your tickets were for yesterday, you missed your flight." At this point I was frustrated, angry, upset, disappointing my family, a horrible mix of feelings. I couldn't believe this was happening to us. I was getting ridiculously upset that not even my wife would recognize me. I pulled all the emails from CheapOair requesting the change of itinerary and the email that confirmed. I was also told by the airline employees, "This is what happens when you buy cheap tickets from these website." To me they weren't that much cheaper. I was getting ready to pay for new tickets for my entire family in order to give them the vacations they deserve.
The airline manager (Air Europa) was extremely helpful and she finally put us in the same flight I booked and was "confirmed" according to CheapOair. The end of the story. My family had the check-in vouchers but we had only 30 minutes to get to the airplane. With a 7 month baby and all the extra luggage wasn't easy thing to do. We finally reached the gate on time, but I don't think after working so hard a flying experience has to be like ours. We were all stressed out, we got mad at each other because running not fast enough. The marathon to the gate and passing all the security points and long lanes was the beginning of our trip. I hope our experience of booking through CheapOair help others to make a smart decision at the time of buying tickets.
My advice, check this website to check their prices they offer. Once you have the itinerary they offer contact the airline and book directly through them. You will get better flight tickets (more flexibility) this way and you will be treated much better, and you will get better seats for sure. And in many cases the cost is the same. Good luck and please post your experience so we create awareness of experiences like mine or others.
