I had a flat tire while out of town in Charleston, South Carolina. I bought a tire for $168.57. I drove back to West Palm Beach and the tire blew out on the highway. I had not had the tire on the car for 24 hours. I did not hit a road hazard, but when I took the tire in to the West Palm Beach Tire Kingdom office, they said that they could not replace the tire because I did not have road hazard coverage. The tire was not manufactured well and it blew. It had a manufacturer's warranty for 12,000 miles or one year which ever came first. They refused to honor the warranty. I disputed the purchase through my credit card and I am waiting for a response.

Needed 4 tires. Found online coupon & made appointment @ the Tire Kingdom in Neptune Beach, Florida. I arrived to my scheduled appointment only to be told no appointment exists. I was told to check a tire shop down the street (not Tire Kingdom). They had no appointment for me either. After investigating, I found I did make appointment at the original Tire Kingdom. Went back to store and they immediately found my appointment paperwork (Very Frustrating).
I was told it would take 1 hr to 1 ½. 3 hours later I the telephone call saying my car is done. 3 min later, I got another call telling me my car was done (guess 2 calls is better than 0). After retrieving my car, I noticed the lug wrench lying randomly in my trunk. Then I noticed the extension bar (to lower/raise the spare) was still in the hub, not stowed in storage compartment like it was before. What happened to putting thing back the way you found them??? And last, the extension bar was painted black when I dropped the car off; now the paint is mostly chipped off. When you pay the kind of money I did, I expect a certain level of customer service. I had a terrible experience and would not recommend.

On 7/14/15, I left my 2011 Hyundai at Tire Kingdom in Deerfield Beach FL and requested an oil/filter change and rotate tires. When I picked up the car in the afternoon, I was given 3 pages recommending two new tires, tire balance, front end alignment, coolant flush/exchange, new brakes, reface rotors and replace brake fluid. The recommended work would be $1,662.14. I reviewed the recommendations with the manager in detail and said I would consider the work for the future repairs. I paid my invoice for the oil/filter change and tire rotation. The invoice included the name of the technician that signed off on the work performed.
When I returned home with the car I noticed that the tires were not rotated. In addition, I noticed that the brake dust was still on all 4 wheels which means no tires were ever removed from the car. My complaint is, how can anyone perform a brake inspection and making recommendations to replace them without removing any of the tires? This is gross misrepresentation of the work performed and unsupported recommendations for repairs. After 30 years, I retired from Pirelli Tire Corporation as an Advance Tire Research and Special Products Engineer Manager. I also served as a Federal Court Appointed Technical Expert for tire lawsuits. I believe my professional background will validate my complaint.

I am a previous store manager for Tire Kingdom in Orlando several years ago and left under very good terms. Therefore I am not a disgruntled employee and I am a frequent customer with Tire Kingdom. This event begins with a very positive experience - My son has a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and was having an overheat problem, he works 40 minutes from home and was in the Clermont area. I told him to go to Tire Kingdom and they will take care of it. He did and could not have had a better experience. They analyzed the problem, gave me the information need and got the vehicle safe to continue home. I was very impressed with both the sales person and the mechanic. The trouble was the water pump was leaking, needed to be replaced so I told my son "go to the Tire Kingdom near your house in Orange City FL".
He took the vehicle to Saxon Blvd Store and the saga begins - He told them he wanted the water pump changed and a coolant flush, they proceeded to do so without any price approval or timeframe. When complete I was called and told the total was $503.00 which I was floored. The sales person I was speaking to I ask to give me the itemized cost, and he proceeded to tell me approx. $85 for the water pump, 2.2 hours labor @ $97 per hour plus the coolant flush for $99 and 2 pressure tests $29 each, a Radiator Cap $9, shop fees of $35. I proceeded to tell him I will not pay shop fees and if they are doing a flush why do you need to do pressure test and he reduced the price to $455. I don't know what the book shows for water pump change but 4 bolts and 2 hoses is not a 2.2 hour job, but I paid and thought lesson learned. Until this week now the vehicle has a check engine light for vacuum leak and is overheating.
I told my son to go back to the same store for warranty and now John, the store manager tells me the Radiator is cracked all the way down the side and the thermostat is bad and guess what, another $500 is due at pick up along with the fact that the vehicle has been in the shop from 4 pm on Sunday and now almost 4 pm on Monday and still not complete. I will not use this location ever again. This is a serious case of taking advantage of the customer and when I was a store manager I knew people like this but was never my practice. And I would never change a water pump without informing the customer they should change the thermostat as well at the same time. I want to know what the management of Tire Kingdom thinks about this situation. I cannot add the order number or the receipt as they are in the vehicle and I am in the Jacksonville area.

Tire Kingdom. 16th st. Location. St. Petersburg, FL - I went to this location to have my left front tire patched. After waiting for at least 30 minutes, a tire repair man (can't use the term mechanic here) came out and asked me what tire was he suppose to patch even though the paperwork had a drawing showing which tire. At that point he informed me that the right rear tire had a nail in it and was leaking air. I was livid! I informed him that that tire never lost air and could not possibly have a nail. Bottom line is this. I left 2 hours after arriving and noticed that 3 tires had been inflated 39 lbs of air and the one that they supposedly fixed only had 34 lbs. By the time I drove the 9 miles home it had lost 3 lbs and is now flat this morning. I don't think they ever patched it. They are a rude and shady operation. One should never go to this shop for ANY REASON.

I took my daughter's Jeep to be serviced at the Titusville, FL Washington Ave location on June 6, 2015. The sole purpose of the service was to ensure she would have no issues when she returned to her duty station in NC and I told them that specifically. They did a transmission fluid drain and fill and must have lost a very important clip and replaced it with the incorrect size. In South Carolina the hose blew off and stranded her several hours from her duty station. Luckily she left a day early. After the tow, the night in the hotel to wait for her Jeep to be fixed properly, and the cost to replace all the transmission fluid she lost and get the RIGHT part it cost her $726.53. I reported all of this to the Manager Al ** who said he would forward it to "Corporate" and I have heard NOTHING from them. Learn from my mistake, this business is not worthy of your hard-earned money.

During the process of Tire Kingdom installing new tires on my Toyota Rav4, Tire Kingdom called and said the left strut was bad and needed to be replaced immediately. Tire Kingdom said the strut was so bad that it was unsafe to drive my car. The cost of this "repair" would have been $562. After they installed my new tires, I drove the car to the local Toyota dealer. The Toyota dealer inspected the struts and they were fine. The Toyota dealer said this is a common repair shop scam for Toyotas. The struts on Toyotas are "wet" looking with oil on them. The dishonest repair shops tell the customer that there is a leak. Tire Kingdom is dishonest and operating a scam that would have cost me $562 for work that was not necessary.

I have been a Tire Kingdom customer for several years and have dealt with a couple issues but today put me over the edge. I arrived at 7:00 am (I was the first customer) and sat in my car until 7:20. Two other vehicles pulled up after me. I walked inside to sit in the waiting area and was rudely told, by **, that they don't open until 7:30 and that I needed to step back outside. At about 7:29 ** walked outside and asked me what I was having done. As I was telling him that I wanted an oil change, he asked if I had an appointment in which I said "no". He asked if anyone else had an appointment and one lady said "yes". Without any courtesy to me or saying "hold on ma'am let me get her first since she had an appointment" he walked over to her and said "I'm gonna get you first ma'am". I thought that was very rude and prompted me to write this complaint as I wait for them to complete my oil change.
I'm in the customer service industry and know the importance of tone and inflection as well as non-verbal communication. ** was rude and acted as if he was in a horrible mood (almost mechanical as he assisted me and others). This behavior is/was unacceptable and should never be a representation of your brand. I do not ever want to feel less important than the next person just because I didn't have an appointment, which is not a requirement to be serviced here. My expectation is to receive a letter of apology and for ** to be made aware of how he made a long term customer feel. I need a phone call to verify that he has been spoken to and how he made me feel.
I'm the nicest person you can meet and all I wanted was an oil change. Instead I got attitude and bad customer service. I am a part of several blogs and plan to express my experience with now NTB and **, as well as take my business elsewhere. As I was cashing out, I told **, the service manager, that I was filing a complaint against **. Before I could pull out of the parking lot ** came to my car and attempted to defend himself which made me cry as I recapped my experience. I told him I was going to file this complaint and he said "that's fine ma'am". I backed up as I was parked behind another vehicle and left. The location of my bad experience was 9451 Albemarle Rd Charlotte, NC.

I went to Tire Kingdom #191 with a bad starter a year and a half ago. Got it replaced and paid $350 for the pleasure. It went bad this week, though it should have lasted 4x that long, according to my new mechanic. I'm told they used knock-off Chinese parts that don't work that well, and that's why it blew out. But I was charged as if it was a certified part. With only 90 days on the warranty, I'm pretty much screwed. Paying $400 with another mechanic today (including tow and battery terminal replacements). Do not go to this location or any as far as I'm concerned.

I bought 4 tires with a warranty. So after a year I found the car would go side to side when I would come to a stop so I took the car back to Tire Kingdom and that was a joke or should I say all the people that work there are a joke? After inspecting my tires they tell me 2 of my tires are splitting but it's not under warranty.... HOW IS THAT??? Then he comes out to me with all the things that wrong with my car and NOTHING to do with the tires. When I told him "I know what's wrong with my car and it's the tires", SO he gets the paper rips it up in front of me and drops it in the waste pail and tells me "Sorry there is nothing we can do". My tires were 1 year old....REALLY!!! So I call Corporate to file a complaint and the ** that answered gave me the same treatment. Why even bother with them? But I will never go back and I tell everyone what I went through.

I want to share my personal experience with my purchase of new tires from Tire Kingdom, Narcoossee Rd. Orlando Florida. On March 11-2015 I took my 2007 -4x4 Dodge Truck in for new tires. Everything at first was a typical tire purchase. We picked out the perfect tires for my truck. I also took advantage of service facility and up gradated with the purchase a front end alignments service agreement. The customer service tech took my keys and said he would call when ready for pick up so I happily head back to work.
It was only a few minutes after arriving back to work, I received a phone call from the tire technician saying he could not find my locking nut. I told him it was sitting in the center console. He argued that it was not, so I went back to my truck and opened my center console and handed the tech my locking nut. Then headed back to work and I was not nearly as happy as the first trip back to work.
It was about 3:30 pm and I received the call I was waiting for. It was Tire Kingdom calling to tell me that my truck was ready for me to pick up, so I asked my salesman to give me a ride to pick up my truck. Traffic was backed up for miles, but lucky for me I was within walking so I asked my ride to just drop me off that I would walk. That's when it started to rain hard. Now I am soaking wet. I enter the store just to be confronted by the manager, and that's when he dropped the bomb on me. That my truck was at the other end of the traffic jam and had been in a accident and was a possible total loss. I hurried down the street in the pouring rain to find my truck or at least what was left of my beautiful 2007 4x4 Dodge truck with only 54,000.00 miles and in perfect condition, and now it was only junk.
Now the trouble began. It was time to deal with the Tire Kingdom's insurance companies that only wanted to give me a fictitious value for my truck $19,000.0 So I had to turn to my insurance company who had a little better offer that I was forced to take. After truck shopping for over a month, I came to the conclusion that trucks in the condition and miles on my truck go for about $28,500.00 to $30,000.00. After paying off my truck and buying another truck I am now $28,000. in debt when I was only $12,500.00.
It would be greatly appreciated if Tire Kingdom could find it in their commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction to please gap that cost so that I am only in $12,000.00 debt the way I was when I faithfully handed Tire Kingdom my Keys to a truck that I was very attached to. I am 55 years old and after all the years of buying tires I have never had someone take my vehicle for a drag test drive a wreck it. So please find in your customer service to please make this right. I have attached some pictures of my truck. Please review them and get back with Tire Kingdom's attentions on this matter.

At the end of October, 2014 I bought 4 new American Racing wheels for my wife's car. They looked great. Within 3 months they started to bubble up and corrode and rapidly looked very bad. I took the car back to them and they took pictures and I was told the manager would call later because he was out of town. Never heard from him. 3 weeks later I take it back with my wife and complain again, this time to the service manager who agreed the wheels looked bad. He said the manager would call. Never did. My wife called him and he actually hung up on her. We call the Regional Manager and speak with him about the situation... guess what... no call back. I think I broke the code. Sell crappy merchandise then treat people like dirt when they request it be fixed.
Don't bother going to their Facebook page and complaining because if you do, they will block you and delete your post. I have bought tires there before many times, but no more. I came into the Tire Kingdom on Normandy ave in Jax fl to get new tires. Well after they put the first new tire on I noticed their tire machine ruined the hole outside edge of the rim. There were even chunks out of it and metal was freshly hanging off the rim. Well I calmly showed it to them. They said quickly "we don't cover that," that's not their fault when clearly it is. After talking to them to see what they could do the manager then stated he would do a free alignment on my truck. A free alignment will definitely not make me feel better about driving around my $1400 wheels all scratched up and spending $1716.62 on tires from them to ruin all 4 wheels. While traveling to Venice FL for vacation my Excursion started getting a vibration. Unloaded the suv and then docked the boat. After driving to Wal-Mart to buy groceries and fishing supplies the vibration got real bad. The next morning looked at my vehicle and discovered my Nitto tires were coming apart. Called the nearest Tire Kingdom because this is where I purchased these tires at. I explained my situation and my time pressure. They told me they didn't have that the tires I needed and guaranteed me they would order them and have them the next day. So I called back the next day and I was told they never got ordered. They guaranteed me this time they would be ordered. While trying to enjoy my vacation stuck at the hotel.
The next day I was told to drop the truck and we did. I received a call the wrong tires were orders while trying to fish. They had found the right tires and have a courier to pick them up and they would need to keep my truck over night. While still stuck at the hotel and Sat morning check out approaching. They got the tires and I found a ride to pick up my truck. I arrived and found that passenger front tire was low on air, like 30 pounds low. Got that resolved and after all bull crap expected some kind of price brake being this was my third set from Tire Kingdom. I got the truck and arrived back late for check out. Loaded the truck and boat. We headed out towards 75 when the wheel weight on that low tire came off. I pulled over and discovered the wrights were gone and the tire was low on air again. By this time I was very ill. I had to drive back to the store with the truck completely loaded.
We decided to walk next door and sit in a Pizza Hut for a late lunch. Another mistake, they were re finishing their tables. We all got sick by the fumes and could finish eating. We left and went back to Tire Kingdom. We finally drove home to St. Cloud and I decided to call and explain my story. General manager called me back and said they wanted help out fit troubles. Real nice guy. Then the store manager calls me and I could tell he wasn't happy. He offered me 100.00 dollars back of my roughly 1500.00 tire purchase. Said he would mail it. Yeah right. Called back again and was told by the same manager he would mail it. Yeah right. Never received it. I called again and told them this was last straw. I instructed my 18 year old to take it to a Tire Kingdom nearby his school and show them the receipt with road hazard. Tire Kingdom was to change oil and rotate tires. The invoice/receipt listed the oil change components and the tire rotation. After leaving, the front left wheel was making thumping noises. This morning I drove around and then checked the wheel. I wanted to remove the wheel and see if I could find something loose, probably unrelated to the service at Tire Kingdom. Two of the lug nuts were loose. As I tightened the nuts, one broke off. Since two of the nuts were loose, I held Tire Kingdom responsible for not completing the rotation.
When I called the shop to complain and ask for a fix, I was told that No, they didn't really do the rotation. Since the tread on the tires was too worn, they don't do the rotation. The two men checking me in and out never mentioned they didn't do the rotation. A call to corporate customer service got me a reference number and their statement that upper management would call the branch office then contact me within 2 business days. The branch called back to ask if a shop man could come to my home and check the torque on the nuts. He came and explained why he couldn't rotate and mentioned a couple of small problems he found (not reported at the shop to me).

I took my Porsche Cayman S to a shop in Terrytown outside of New Orleans. I had a vibration in my rear wheels. I asked for both rear wheels balanced. I also asked them I don't want them to do the work unless they hand torque the lug bolts to the factory specs. They assured me they would hand torque the bolts. I waited around and watched about 4 people do nothing for 20 minutes, then they took a car that came in ahead of me. Next I see my car driving out of the parking lot onto Terry Parkway. The mechanic decided to take it for a ride.
I'm nervous about this, as this car was fairly new to me and a very fast car that can easily be over-revved or wrecked by someone unfamiliar with it. While I'm waiting, I look at my service request document. They have a $7/tire charge for run-flat tires. I don't understand how run flat tires would make balancing more difficult, especially since they're not mounting the tires, it's just a standard balance of existing tires.
So I bring this up to the service manager. I told him Porsche does not put run-flat tires on this car and these are, in fact, not run flat tires. He said they were. I pulled up on my phone the tires and showed him. I called my brother who's a German car mechanic and he told me Porsche doesn't use run flats on these cars. The guy insisted they were, said the company computer automatically adds that charge based on the car. I told him I wasn't paying for that and the manager was rude and said he had a Boxster and it had run flats. My brother said the tires aren't run flats and they'd have a RFT marked on them if they were. Anyway, I got out of that charge with the manager complaining about me and "I guess the customer is always right". I was treated very rude.
Around this time, my car comes back from the (joy) test ride - all to balance the rear tires. I noticed another customer with a pickup didn't get his vehicle test driven before working on the tires. The mechanic balances the tires and tells me one of the rims is bent. I then watch him air-hammer the lug nuts back on, no torque wrench used. I was horrified.
I left with a feeling of sickness. I'm not complaining about the money they charged ($40), but if they have this up-charge in the system for run flats that aren't used on this car, I can only think the corporate computers are programmed to rip-off people with these expensive sports cars. Next time I'm going somewhere else, even though the balance was for the life of the tire.

Mechanics are not trained to do work that is safe for consumer. Managers will not kindly make restitution, says it is cost of doing business. I could have been injured or killed with no brakes.

In April of 2014 I drove my 2003 Lincoln Aviator into Tire Kingdom. I asked for an oil change, coolant flush and front wheel alignment. I got the car back. The man at the counter Buck said everything was done. He said he left the oil change off but he assured me he had personally taken care of it. I paid him for services rendered and drove a little way up the street. My engine oil light came on. I drove back to the place and Buck was gone and the manager had the service department put oil in the SUV.
The Manager had the oil changed several times after that due to a knock in the engine after the oil was not replaced. The filter was new but the oil was never placed in the SUV. I have a witness that was in at Tire Kingdom with me and saw everything. The SUV has been sold because I needed a reliable way to get to work. Tire Kingdom had an adjuster come to my house after they filled an insurance claim. The claim is being denied. Tire Kingdom told me to tow my SUV into a service department of my choice and have the engine torn down at my cost until they could get an adjuster to come back out. I can't afford that! I did take it to a mechanic and he said the motor is gone. It was still running but poorly at that time. They are refusing to do anything. I have witness for everything. Buck is denying he had anything to do with my visit. The manager said I drove the vehicle back to the store with no oil. I had just left. I had a coupon for an oil change.
I had to purchase another car because the motor was bad after the oil was not put back into the SUV. I purchased a 2002 Chevy I had a 2003 Lincoln. The cost of the repair of the engine was $3750.00. I didn't have that at one time to repair my SUV So I purchased one for 7999.00. I have a payment now. I would like a minimum of 3750.00. The manager at this business put treatment in and changed the oil several times. It didn't help. He turned it over to the insurance company. That claim has been denied because Tire Kingdom said Buck never did an oil change on my SUV. It had dirty oil when I got there and when I left it had no oil at all. My SUV didn't have any leaks. I am going back over some financial records trying to figure out why I have spent so much money on auto repairs etc. I have receipts for six new tires since March of 2013 at $136.99 each. Two in March 2013, two in July 2013 and two in January 2014. One of the last two had to be replaced not long ago due to a nail. I was told it was not repairable and they did replace that one at no charge (meanwhile I still had to pay $80.00 to have it put on, balanced etc.) I have to wonder why the need for seven tires in less than two years? Recently my son in law took car to another establishment for yet two more tires. I was informed that an alignment was badly needed and had to be done soon. I have had three wheel alignments at Tire Kingdom since March 2013. One was done each time I went in for tires and I paid $90.00 for each alignment.
Frankly I'm just really tired of your mechanics coming out to the lobby delivering bad news about everything that's wrong with my car and all the repairs that are in dire need. I especially cherish the time when your mechanic came out with a cue tip all black (July 2013 visit). The fuel line really needed to be flushed. Problem was my son in law had taken the car in for a fuel system tune-up less than a year before. I informed the mechanic of this and told him not to do it, that I would let him know if and when I decided I could afford that service. But guess what? He went ahead and did it anyway and then played dumb like I didn't make it clear enough and that it really needed to be done. (That was $109.99 PLUS $22.50 for three step fuel system cleaner PLUS $87.49 for fuel saver tune-up labor).
I didn't have the money and should have stood up and refused to pay for it. (But instead I simply couldn't pay my car payment on time that month.) That is when I should have finally decided I am done with Tire Kingdom and not allowed myself to be taken advantage of another time. Believe me I will not be going to any of your stores again. Thank you so much for your precious time and for listening to someone who was once a regular customer.

Last night I brought my vehicle in for a lube/oil/filer and tire rotation. I specifically asked in they could please make sure the tires would be rotated. Prior to dropping on my vehicle, I number the tires just to make sure that my tires were rotated. As I was paying for their service, I made sure to ask if the tires were rotated. The guy at the desk yelled out to the technician "Were the tires rotated?" - the service tech said "yes". In the meantime I received a call, left the premises and forgot to check to see if this was true. Well it wasn't true the tires HAD NOT BEEN ROTATED!!
I immediately called back and asked again, "Are you sure the tires were rotated?" - Yes the tires were rotated. I responded with NO they were not because I numbered the tires. When I returned this morning, the manager could only offer me an apology and rotate the tires. He then began with several excuses about why this may have happened. Then he told me the tires were taken off within the last week, which was NOT TRUE and then he told me well maybe the technician took them off and then forgot to rotate them! He also told me that it has happened before that technicians have forgotten whether they did or did not rotate the tires!!!
The shop was basically empty when I brought my vehicle in last night and how do you forget to rotate oversized tires on an Expedition!!! I WILL NEVER TAKE MY VEHICLE BACK TO TIRE KINGDOM AGAIN!!! I'm sure this is not the first time this has happened. It happens way more often than you think. MY ADVICE >>>NUMBER YOUR TIRES BEFORE YOU BRING YOUR VEHICLE IN FOR A TIRE ROTATION.

I showed up Friday as scheduled with ** and no one knew I had an appointment. The service Manager ** said it would take a while as they were backed up.
Now, I do have to say that ** has always treated with ultimate respect and courtesy. He arranged a ride home for me and said he will call me when the car was ready. Four hours later he called me and told me he was arranging a ride to bring me back to the shop, but said additional work should be done. I asked him just to send the car for me and we would discuss the "necessary additional work" when I arrived. Lo and behold, Matt presented me with an estimate for $665.00 of work he stresses needed to be done. Take into mind that I have had my 2007 Suzuki Reno since it was new and now only have 52,105 miles on the odometer.
I took his estimate when I got home, and looked at each item detailed on the estimate. He said all types of engine and coolant hoses had to be replaced, as well as numerous fluids and their reservoirs flushed. I open the hood at least once a month and check all the fluids and all physical aspects such as belts and hoses. I took the estimate sheet and noted that ALL of the belts and hoses that he said needed changing were in pristine condition. The fluids in question were in great shape. Then I consulted my owner's manual and, contrary to Tire Kingdom, none of the quoted $665.00 services were necessary! So glad I am an informed consumer and did not agree to these estimate services. I wonder how many people have fallen prey to this!

One star at best after spending nearly $800.00 for 4 new tires, tires mounted and what they called balance a front end wheel alignment and almost $80.00 for a synthetic oil AND filter change. Wife says to me after she drove home from Tire Kingdom in Saint Cloud Florida; please drive her truck, that it's not right. First I open the hood to check the oil level. I notice my Bosch oil filter "still" on the truck. To change the oil filter you have to remove a skid plate. A 3 minute job at best. They decided to just leave the old oil filter on and say nothing. Pretending that they did what my wife had paid them nearly $80.00 with tax to do. To me that is theft. I drove her Toyota Tundra truck and at 50-55 the front end bounces around. Bad wheel hop on drivers front.
I drive her truck to back to Tire Kingdom of Saint Cloud and ask Matthew ** "Service Manager," what brand oil filter do they use on the nearly $80.00 synthetic oil change? He did not know but said that it was a white filter. It would seem like they would know the product that they use? Anyways, I asked why I still had my Bosch filter on. And why at 50-55mph does it ride like a hay wagon? So I spend my Saturday afternoon 3-4 hours of it watching them change the oil AND filter this time. Remove and rebalance ALL 4 tires again. They had said that a weight may have fallen off the wheel. I let Matt know it had been driven only 30 miles at most. If a weight cannot stay on 30 miles, they are doing something wrong.
Turns out all 4 tires had been balanced incorrectly, ALL 4 of them. Then at the last tire balanced... the front drivers that I had issues with, I noticed rocks in the new tread that he had left on the tire while he rebalanced the tire. The other 3 he had spent 30 seconds or so and picked out the rocks from the tread. I asked why not pick out the rocks and balance it right? And was told that they balance the wheel not the tire. All that I can say to that is idiots! They balance it all as assemble! Never again will I go to Tire Kingdom of Saint Cloud. Steve **, the area group manager hid the whole time. I told Matthew ** the service manager that he is only as good as his crappiest employee.
That it is HIS job to oversee the work performed by the people that they hire. I will call corporate and see what can be done to improve this store. I look at it as thief, fraud or something. When you pay for work to be done and they do not do it, or what they do, they half ass it and send you down the road... Most people would not know what oil filter is on the car or truck. Makes me wonder how many get ripped off and bad wheel balances like we had received? I should add that I had asked Matt, now that they have wasted half of my day that they should take me to Outback or something for my lost time and aggravation. Matt wrote on his business card a free oil change.
I laughed and asked if the filter is included and how could I ever trust them again? I should hurry and use up this voucher before corporate clears house and they say Matt who? Or Steve ** who? Steve ** sure does not know how to do his job. They do not pay your sir to hide from a customer? If that is the case and it clearly was, they need not have you "Steve ** employed by them. I spent my Saturday returning to have this work done correctly while I watched and had to baby sit to be sure that it was done right. I want to know if any legal actions can be taken against them. I am not after money. I want to stop this type or service; ripping off customers.

I had a slow leak in the two rear tires, which were installed by another company. I didn't want to go to Tire Kingdom to get them checked, but the other shops in town looked busy and full of customers. Tire Kingdom had no customers - the bays were empty. I was a little skeptical at first - this was not a good sign. But, how hard can it be to just check tires for a leak? I dropped my car off and waited in the waiting room. The customer service rep then took me out into the shop to show me the nail holes that I had in the 2 rear tires. I remarked, "Wow, they're both in the same spot! That's odd!" The holes were just on the edge of the tire, which they told me was the sidewall and that they couldn't fix them.
I thought the sidewall was on the actual side of the tire where there isn't tread. But, hey, I'm no tire technician. Also, the air coming out looked a whole lot more than the slow leak I had before. They would lose 10-20 lbs of air every 1 1/2 weeks. I suspected maybe a dirty rim or leaking valve stems. Well, now I had two nice matching holes in the rear tires, so I bought some new cheap economy tires there. I definitely won't go back. I suspect they poked the holes in there so that I would have to buy new ones, instead of maybe just fix a leaking valve stem. I should have checked them myself before going, and I should have stood out in the shop and watched. I am too trusting sometimes. Should have listened to my gut instincts.

On Thursday, February 6, 2014 I took my Handicap Accessible 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan in to the Tire Kingdom located on South Military Trail in Delray Beach for 4 new tires. After the tech removed the tires, the store manager informed me that I needed new brakes. I asked to see it and was shown that the brakes were really worn down and the rotors were also worn. I told them to go ahead and do the work along with an oil change. I paid my almost $1400 bill and drove home. As I pulled into my parking spot, I smelled like something was burning so I called the store back and was told by the tech that it was "normal". The next day (Friday), I drove to Lake Worth and while driving I again smelled that awful burning smell and then noticed that there was smoking coming off my rear rims. My van starts hesitating and felt like I had the brakes on while I was accelerating. I stopped and checked that the Emergency Brake was not engaged and then called Tire Kingdom and spoke to the Store Manager who told me to have the van towed to their store.
I contacted AAA but had to wait 3 hours for a tow and since my tow was not within my 5 mile radius I had to pay the difference ($40). The van was towed at 4:30pm and I had to arrange for a friend with a handicap accessible van to drive me to Tire Kingdom. When we got there at 5:30pm, the van was on a lift and the tech was examining the van. My friend asked the tech why didn't he take the van for a test drive and they can see what the problem was. After about 10 minutes the tech drove back into the garage and checked the brake temperature, which was extremely high. At that point, the tech told me that they needed to keep the van and I got my friend to drive me home. When I didn't hear back from Tire Kingdom by 12pm on Saturday, I called them and was informed that they needed the van for another hour or so because they were flushing out my brake lines.
The Assistant Manager finally called me back at 3pm to inform me that I needed a new caliper for one of the rear brakes that wasn't working. He says that the Store Manager told him just to charge me for the part ($96) and he would "waive" the labor charge. I asked him why I needed to pay for this part when I already paid for a "brake job" with parts and labor. He tells me this part was not functioning correctly and needed to be replaced if the brakes were to work properly. Again, I asked him why didn't they notice that on Thursday when they were initially doing the brakes. I never got a straight answer. At this point all I want is my van back in working order as I rely on my van to get me to my doctor appointments and grocery store independently. I told Curtis to go ahead and put the part in. However, I told him that I no longer had a ride to the store so could they please drive my van after the work is completed to pick me up at my home since I need an handicap accessible vehicle to get me back to their store (I live 3 miles from their store).
Curtis informs me that was no problem and they were more than happy to accommodate me. At 5:35pm a store employee calls me and says that "they are closing in a few minutes and was I coming to pick up my van"? I told him that Curtis said someone would drive my van to me and we would go to the store to settle my bill. The employee tells me that he's the only one there and he could not do that and I need to come tomorrow (Sunday) in the morning to pick it up. They finally sent a tech to pick me up at my home with my van after I called them and said I was disabled and needed someone to pick me up with my van or else I was unable to get to their business. I'm way beyond frustrated with these people and I feel I've been ripped off by a bunch of incompetents who are not qualified to work on any type of vehicles. How can they take advantage of a disabled woman in a wheelchair and treat me so atrociously?

The new set of tires on my son's Jeep didn't even have 100 miles on them when the RF tire developed a slow leak. After about 20 minutes, the manager brought my tire back in and showed me a leak in the sidewall. A very small puncture the exact size of an awl. I have never had a tire with a sidewall puncture in the 35 years I have been driving. Of course, it couldn't be repaired so I bought a new tire - $110. Put the wheel back on the Jeep and two days later, it was flat again. The valve stem is STILL leaking - they didn't even bother to replace it.
I will bet you that there was no puncture in the sidewall of the old tire until I brought it back to them to replace the valve stem. I took my 2010 Audi A4 for an oil change to the Tire Kingdom store located at 2550 Sawgrass Mills Circle, Sunrise, FL 33323 on Sunday 09/15/2013 at 9:07 AM. I talked to store manager, **, and he assured me the technicians at Tire Kingdom are fully skilled and trained to work on Audi. I picked up the car that evening at 5:38pm after the oil change only to find oil leak spots on my paved driveway a few days later. I took the car back in on 09/28/2013 at 11:00AM. After two hours, ** told me the gasket on the oil plug was pinched. He said he replaced the oil plug gasket and fixed the oil leak.
The next morning I again noticed the oil leak on our driveway. I was beginning to doubt the quality of the service I was receiving. I took the car in again at 6:00pm on 10/01/2013 for the third time. ** and his technician Kevin worked on it again for two hours and they assured me there will not be any more oil leak. At this point, I was very suspicious of the work the store did on my car in contrary to all the assurance I received from ** and his technicians about the quality of their service. I was afraid that the oil pan is being either cross-threaded or cracked.
I decided to send an email to customer service of the Tire Kingdom and share my experience with their store. In response to my email, **, a district manager, **, contacted me and asked that we take the car to any mechanic in order to inspect for any possible damages during the oil change. She assured us that Tire Kingdom would pick up any costs associated with any repair needed. I took my car to a local Audi Dealership for an inspection and the result was shocking. The area around oil plug was completely covered with silicon and JB weld. At this point I was angry and furious.
I tried to be more patient and send the dealership report to **. She said she was going to fill out a claim with their insurance company and I was going to be reimbursed for the damages but an adjuster has to inspect the damages first. Few days later, Jeff **, from Sedgwick Inc.,**, called me. He said his field inspector, Phil **, needs to inspect the damages. At this point I did not want any person from Tire kingdom to touch my car again and Phil assured me they just going to visually inspect it.
I made an arrangement with Phil to come to my place of work to inspect the damages (11/1/13). He at that point determined that the area under question could not be visualized and that we needed to make an appointment at another Tire Kingdom for inspection. On 11/11/13, I dropped off the car at Tire Kingdom store located at 3151 N Federal Hwy, Pompano Beach, FL (954) 782-0991, and was told at the time of drop off that the purpose of this visit was just to visualize the area for damage. When I picked the car up an hour later, I was told that all of the JB welding and silicone had been removed. Phil claimed he did not see any damage or any reasons for a leak. Case closed.
These are the chronological events that started this time consuming nightmare that I have been dealing with since September. I am extremely disappointed with several interactions that I have had both with the Tire Kingdom employees as well as the Tire Kingdom insurance adjuster company Sedgwick. Every single person we dealt with, flat out lied and acted in complete dishonesty.
Even the adjuster company, Sedwick Inc, and their inspectors who are supposed to be honest and fair individuals lied into our face. I did not authorize them to touch the car or remove any of the welding or silicone that was in place. But they took liberty to remove it and possibly destroy the evidence. If there was no reason for a leak, then why would there be any need to alter the integrity of the car by sealing the oil plug with silicone and JB weld?
To make matters worse, we reached out to ** and **, District Manager, to explain what happened and, instead of being at least empathetic to our concerns, they blew me off by telling me to simply deal with the insurance company. I have been more than patient, and at this point, I am furious with the service I’ve received. I do not feel safe continuing to drive in this vehicle. I am extremely disappointed, frustrated, stressed beyond belief and annoyed that I was being bounced around from appointment to appointment and from inspector to manager to insurance company, only to encounter more of the same nonsense.
I am writing to let people know what kind of service they should expect when dealing with Tire Kingdom. I want consumers to know that they do not deserve to receive this type of inept and unprofessional service and hope they avoid Tire Kingdom at all costs. We have spent enough time and effort, since September 15th, trying to correct what was supposed to be a simple oil change. I would appreciate anyone’s help in order to spread this story on the internet. I would also appreciate anyone’s help or guidance in order to recover the damages from Tire Kingdom. I would also like to participate in any class action lawsuit against Tire Kingdom.

- new 78172 disc brake hydraulic hose $36.59
- new suspension control left $137.74
I then go to that store and ask the mgr. what is a new suspension control. They shouldn't have put "suspension". As far as the rubbing line, let me get...... and comes back with this real young kid who starts to tell me about a rubbing line and safety... Wait a minute, I've been an aerospace mechanic for 35 years and you have the nerve to feed me this line after I have already looked at the line and seen that the line itself was not rubbed, the chafe sleeve did its job and had been lightly rubbed. And the "mgr" all he did was TRY to back-up his mech.
So he calls a part by the wrong name, tells me a part was damaged which was NOT true and then I go down 3 doors to where they get their parts from and I off the street can get the part for less than half the price. "I was not going to charge labor on the hose." WELL HOW NICE. You lie to me about a part that was NOT damaged and was going to charge me more than DOUBLE for the part.

I used to work for this company for several years and I suggest folks to STAY AWAY from these criminals - as an employee and as a customer. This corporation treats their employees and automotive technicians like scum and that translates to unhappy employees meaning bad customer service and YOUR vehicles getting improperly serviced. They will replace perfectly functional parts based on mileage and age. They sell "fluid flushes" that are never fully performed. They will tell their customers they install quality parts on their vehicles when in fact they install the cheapest parts and resale it to customer for a ridiculous price. Zero morals and ethics in this company. The elderly are the ones that they will try their hardest to get a sale off of since they are the easiest targets and will most likely say yes if you you tell it's unsafe to drive. Lies, Lies. Lies.
The mechanics are told to "check every car out - no matter what it came in for." They are forced to do so or else they threaten to fire. So, even if you car has 10k, 20k, almost a brand new car don't blame the employees for doing so. That alignment you pay this crook of a company $100 to $200 for 6-mo., 1-year, 5-year alignment programs goes all to the crooked corporate of Tire Kingdom. The employees they treat like "scum" are only paid $15 out of all that big dough you are paying. If you do come back for that warranty alignment, they get paid $5 and sometimes, they will even try to cheat their employees of that. Coupon oil changes. Free rotations. They will purposely make you wait several hours if not the entire day. Of course, most of the time even your oil filter is not replaced if you take it this company. You will never know, because it's the same brand of filter which was installed the last time you took it there. This is what a coupon does.
I am sorry, but this company, NTB, Merchant's Tire, Tire Kingdom is a place where they turn good, hardworking auto mechanics into bad ones. The problem is with the corporate and the management. They are the ones to blame.

I bought book of coupons for oil change in Tire Kingdom. A guy came into my work offering these coupons for a price of $30. So if I get 6 coupons, that will give me discounts in my next six oil changes. I wish I would have said no to that guy. Every time I went to Tire Kingdom for my oil change, they tell me that I had to wait about 1 hour or 90 minutes. As soon as I pulled my coupons, they will say, "Oh actually, it's going to be longer." I got the impression that they prefer to help people who are paying or walk-ins faster than people like me with coupons. I had to wait always around 2 hours for an oil change. (The place that I used to go before took me from 15 minutes to 30 minutes max.) I tried to use the last coupon (expired April 15) in the store in 610 E Commercial Blvd. Oakland Park, FL and it was the same game, "will be around 90 minutes" when I pulled the coupon. "Oh actually, do you want to drop the car? It will be around two hours and a half." I just left.
The next day, I went to the store in 2550 Sawgrass Mills, Sunrise, FL. The manager told me that will take one hour. I dropped my car and went shopping to Sawgrass Mills. I came back 1 hour and 20 minute later. The car was still in the same spot where I left it. The manager, Jim **, and another employee were discussing how long my car will take since it seems there were other people waiting too. When I asked for my keys, the manager said, "I'll put your car now and will take 15 minutes." I was pissed already and didn't have the 15 minutes because I needed to get to work. Then a few days later, I tried the store in Oakland Park, FL. Again, same story. The manager, Ralph **, was on the phone and asked me, "Do you have an appointment?" I said no and he said that it will take two hours and a half. Then he was on the phone on hold and ignored me. I told him that I have been going to that store for one year and a half and nobody offered me that service before to make an appointment. I left.
The next day, I called the same store to make an appointment and the employee on the phone told me, "This branch doesn't do oil changes anymore." Just 24 hours after I talked with the manager about oil change. I gave up. The coupon expired and I went to their neighbor, Jiffy Lube, that gave me really good customer service. I had to wait only 30 minutes and they were busy. They had four other cars in front of me. My advice is never buy those book of coupons. It's not worth it. This is, by a long shot, the worst company I have ever worked for. I was fresh out of an Automotive Technician school and went in for an interview on Tuesday. Everything seemed good and he said he would get back to me soon. The manager called me on Thursday saying he wanted to hire me and I should come in anywhere around 2-3 pm on Friday. When I got there on Friday, the management is no longer there at the store. The store manager, assistant manager, service advisor, and many of the techs are no longer at the store. They said they have transferred. My first instinct was to run away, but I needed a job and the new management seemed okay.
I was hired at a rate lower than the current minimum wage + commission. Later, I found out the meager rates they were paying to exploit technicians: $0.50 cents to perform complete oil change service (tire rotation is free with every oil change), $0.25 cents to replace a tire, $7 to do a full alignment (they later cut this to $2). Two weeks after being hired by the shop, the district manager came for his first visit to the store to see his newly installed team. At first meeting and introduction, he decided to transfer me to another store that same day. Never mind I was hired at a store 4 miles from my house, and then he moved me 10 miles from my house. I never recalled a ‘willing to travel’ note on the application. I didn't want to cause problems so I went along.
The labor was very hard and manageable for the average person used to doing tires and quick service but slave labor considering the pay. There is a ton of politics and special treatment as far as the shifts worked, how the repair orders are handled, etc. It’s very infuriating. I'm guessing that is why they tend to transfer and break up the cliques in each store. It makes it super hard to make decent money even if you are an A+ level tech. This is a job with a lot of micromanagement. They have five conference calls with their management every single day to berate the store manager and ask why he is not on progress in hitting number goals. They want you to work through your lunch breaks. This job is just bad.
Anyway, fast forward to two months later. Again, upper management decided to break up the store I was working in and transfer, demote, fire the entire staff + store management. This time, he moved me to a store 16 miles from my house. At that point, I had seen enough and decided with my Auto degree and ASE certification, I could apply and get a job at a dealership paying double. My final word of advice is this is slave labor and a terrible company to work for. Even if you are an entry-level tech looking for a place to just start and get experience on your record, this isn't the place. It's not worth it. Go work in the air conditioning at your average retail store or go work at a restaurant as a dishwasher if you have absolutely no skills, diplomas or certificates. At least the pay is a whole lot better. This is the wrong place to look for a job, period.

Unprofessional and unethical store #150 Jacksonville, FL - I have had many problems with Tire Kingdoms before by overcharging and lying, but I was in desperate need to get the oil changed in my Oldsmobile. When I went into this store, the man did not even look up from his computer. When I had asked how much it was for an oil change, he said it is $34.99. I of course said, "Oh really?" and then he answered yes. I said no thanks and left. When I later checked online, there was a promotion for $19.99. I then called the manager and asked how much it was. He said $34.99 but if I bring in something from online, it would be $19.99. I wanted to explain what had happened, but he laughed and said, "Of course we don't tell people that. I just do to help people out." Okay. So not only did this manager not try to fix my aggravation, but he never bothered to ask if he could help me with anything else or anything.
So you're telling me that the online advertisement for $19.99, which does not mention anything about bringing it in the store, isn't spoken about in the store? I'm pretty sure companies do specials for a reason. I am a small, young looking blonde so I'm sure he was thinking he could get one in over me. I will never recommend Tire Kingdom to anyone. Please don't waste your time and money on these people.

My 74 year old mother took her 1999 Corvette to a Tire Kingdom on 117 Ave. and 66th St. in Miami for a new battery and alignment. Almost $800 later, the technician forgot to re-bolt the top and when the manager took the car for a test drive, the top flew off. The manager told her to call her insurance company. The manager sent one of his employees to follow her home and put her glass top on the car. I was outraged. How dare he tell her to call her insurance company? When I confronted the store manager, he lied and said he never told her that. After I filed a complaint with Tire Kingdom, the same manager called me back telling me they would pay for a new roof and tell us where to go.
Many unanswered calls and 2 weeks later, we were finally instructed where to take the car. After the car being at the body shop for 5 days and one lie after another, we went to pick up the car only to find 50 miles, the windshield wipers not functioning, and the brand new battery dead. That was supposedly "faulty". I called Tire Kingdom and told them that they needed to fix the wipers since it was their body shop referral. He agreed. They kept the car for 5 days, broke the windshield in the process of attempting to fix the wipers. They finally gave up and told us to take it to Chevrolet and they would pay for the cost. This was authorized by the store manager. We did exactly that and paid $588.
I received a call from the rudest district manager ever, telling me that it is not Tire Kingdom's problem and I will not be reimbursed a cent. He refused to even give his last name and hung up on me. I immediately called corporate. I have now made 3 calls to corporate and I have waited 96 hours so far with no call back. I plan to call every 24 hours until I am heard. My next step will be to call my local news channel and after that, file a lawsuit. I would give up my car if this place was my only option for auto service.

On a recent stormy Saturday, I visited the Hickory, NC Tire Kingdom for 4 tires. I plainly stated my dislike for white wall and white lettered tires. I told the salesman I thought they looked cheap and cheesy. I also asked for an aggressive tread pattern. I was shown a tire for the tread pattern but assured mine would be black wall. About 1-1/2 hrs. later, my truck appeared outside. My wife and I rushed into the truck as the rain was still very heavy. It was Sunday when I went out to check out my tires. Outside of the tires was a very rough ugly pattern. Inside were white letters. When I went to Tire Kingdom to get real black walls instead of reversed white letters, I was told it was the same thing. All they would do is turn the white letters to the outside though the manager did offer to spray paint the letters black. I was offered real black walls but they were all at least $100 more per tire. Complaints to Corporate Headquarters were simply forwarded to the Hickory manager, the manager who offered to spray paint the white letters.

Car repair fraud - I took my vehicle in for anti-freeze leak and a stuttering engine. They checked the car to see what the initial problem seemed to be and to determine if they could repair it. Part of this check included an engine diagnostic and system pressure test. They said that the engine was fine and that it just needed spark plugs. They also changed the coil thermostat housing. They mentioned that the motor mounts needed replacement soon but not immediately. They reiterated that the engine was fine. I drove it off the lot and it felt fine. Next day, I noticed more anti-freeze leaking, so I went back to tire kingdom (dealt with same people). This time they decided to change the timing belt and water pump and one motor mount. I drove off the lot and it felt smooth.
Next day, I had to return to give them a receipt for a previous water pump, so I could get a refund. I drove to and from Tire Kingdom. When I got home, I noticed leaking again (stronger leak). I took it right back to Tire Kingdom and waited. They checked the vehicle; said it was fine. I took it home then started to notice later that day when I drove the vehicle... The next day, I took it back to Tire Kingdom; they blamed the noise on the motor mount (the ones that were not replaced). I left there to pick up my mother at work; and when we got home, it was leaking again (very strong).
I took it right back to Tire Kingdom. They put another mechanic on it and he fixed the hose. Then, he took it for a test drive and it came back with a severe noise, and this mechanic stated that I needed a new engine. The manager has not been helpful and provided misinformation at every step including an incorrect home office number. The total cost of repairs is $1,256.30 in 2 days. Now, the car is unusable and they have not refunded any of the money. The car is still sitting at Tire Kingdom because they are not allowing me to move it. So, no car, no money, no information, and no help… a total abuse of a female customer.

A couple of weeks ago, my 2009 Nissan Murano SUV shut down on me while I was driving. The battery and emergency break light came on right before everything went dead. I had it towed to the Tire Kingdom located on 1651 N. Alafaya Trl., Orlando, FL 32828. They called me the next day and told me that the "battery" was the issue, and they sold me a battery plus installation. When I went to pick my car up and pay for it, I asked the salesman if they can guarantee that my car is safe to drive long distance the following day; and he said everything else was ok. I specifically asked him about the alternator twice, once over the phone and once in person, when I paid for the service. They reassured me that everything was fine and that the issue was just the battery.
Once I left the Tire Kingdom, my break light and battery light were still on. I checked my break fluid levels, and it was fine. I started my engine once I got home and disconnected the battery and the car shut off, indicating that the alternator was most likely the problem. I took my car right back to Tire Kingdom the same evening and spoke to **, and he said they would hook my car back up to the computer again and double check that for me. And he said, "Yes, the alternator is bad"! This was after I found the real problem and told them. They failed to find the problem first. Then he said he would have to order the part and that parts and labor would total $720!
I never got a refund for the battery and never took my car back there. It was a good thing that I did not drive my car long distance that weekend, because it would have shut off on me approximately 45 minutes into the journey and it would have caused me to crash and possibly be severely injured. They tried to tell me a 7/8" or 1" in diameter bolt is easily sheared off with a little torque. Instead of taking their time and using a little break away or WD40 and if necessary heat, they just torqued it (probably with an impact gun) until it sheared. The store manager tried to tell me that they took their time and did the above steps I had suggested should have been done but twenty minutes into my visit they had already told me they had broke the camber bolt inside the arm. After giving the information for them to key into their system, I took a seat in the waiting room. While I was there, four more people entered the waiting room after me. I waited for two hours and ten minutes. The four people that came after me, were waited on and left, while I still awaited my tire repair.
After waiting 2 hours, I went up front to ask a worker about how much longer it would take. I was told that my car was being pulled in for repairs at that very moment. After 20 minutes, a worker asked me where my tire locks were, and I shared that information with him. I shared that I purchased the tire at that location less than a year, and it should be under warranty. He stated that it wasn't. I shared my disappointment in the time it took to notify me of such repairs, and that I would make a purchase of the tire elsewhere.
My car was pulled around, and I documented the time to be at 4:35, two hours later than my arrival. But on the receipt given, the entry time was right but the completion time was an hour off, making it appear that I had an hour's wait, and that was such a fabrication of the truth on a legal document. I need to update my complaint against the Tire Kingdom in Suntree. That complaint stays. There supposedly is a big sign that the Lake Andrew sign displays; telling customers that if you are not satisfied with your tires, we will replace or make you happy. The Suntree store/Tire kingdom knew we were unhappy, as did the corporate, from the very beginning of this year. Yet, they never did anything but repeatedly tried and balanced these tires. Thanks to the Lake Andrew store! The Lake Andrew Tire Kingdom not only found the problem but they fixed it!
They got zero money for this as it was all due to the Suntree Tire Kingdom not finding the problem and not even trying to find the problem. They were just obviously having fun at my emails to the corporate and then "attempting" to balance three times. They never did all that the Lake Andrew store did, which was to drive the car and recognize that we really did have a problem. That it was not in our minds nor was it in the car itself or any other parts of the car. They drove it 3 times and found the unround tire. The Lake Andrew Tire Kingdom replaced that tire and even though we would have preferred a different set of tires rather than the "crap tires" the Suntree Tire Kingdom sold us, the Lake Andrew Tire Kingdom took care of that round tire that Suntree Tire Kingdom sold us.
The tires run rough. They are hard tires and as I explained before, beware of Suntree Tire Kingdom. They will sell you and then leave you! We gave them 5 to 6 opportunities to try and fix the problem. They wouldn't even look for what it was and wouldn't acknowledge any problem. But I am happy to say that Lake Andrew Tire Kingdom in Viera did! Thank you!

I took my car into Tire Kingdom located at 4626 Clark Road, Sarasota Florida. I originally brought my car in to get my tire fixed due to the fact there was a nail inserted into it.
Once arriving at this location, an employee named Jason offered to fix the issue and it would take about an hour to get this issue fixed. When I returned to get my car, Jason informed me that my lug nut on my tire was stripped. They were the last company to fix my tires, which in turn means this issue had arisen from their inexperience. I informed Jason to fix the issue and left.
No five minutes later, Jason had called to inform me that there were a series of problems going on with my car and that it would now cost me $500 to fix it, and not the original $150. At this point I informed Jason to put my car back together and that I would bring my business elsewhere to get this fixed. He then called me back to inform me that he made a mistake and that the issues he spoke about earlier were in relation to another customer's car, which shows that they are unorganized and have lack of experience in regard to maintaining a professional outlook by keeping their customers organized.
Once Jason and I had gotten off the phone, he fixed the tire and I had picked up my car later that day. When the car was returned to me, I noticed my alignment was messed up, which I had gotten done a month prior to bringing it to this company and the issue was not there when I originally brought my car to them. As soon as I noticed this, I returned to Tire Kingdom for the third time and Jason informed me that I was incorrect. They did not mess up the alignment.
I had to return to Tire Kingdom five more times informing Jason they he did not in fact fix the issue. At this point, Jason informed me to bring my car back tomorrow for the sixth time. I had done just that. I brought my car to them at 10:30 am and was informed that it would be ready by 12:00 pm. I went back at this time and was informed that they did not work on the car yet and would have to come back around 2:45 pm. I arrived at this location at 2:45 pm and they informed me that this was not completed at this time and they would have to call me and let me know when to pick the car up.
I did not receive my car back until 10:00 am the following day. When I had my car back, the final time I noticed that it was not sounding right, again I had brought it back for them to fix the issue and they stated that it was just road noise. I had to bring my car to another location who informed me that the bearings on my car were only hand-tightened and barely held together. Another issue they found was they did not tighten anything around my entire wheel. I was informed that I could have flipped my car and gotten severely injured--if not died--due to their failure to do their jobs.
To top it all off, they got oil all over the tan interior of my car. This issue goes to show that as a woman, you are treated as though you have no clue about cars and this company tries to scam you out of what needs to be done correctly.

On 8/22/2011, I was leaving my apartment. I noticed a large nail or screw in my tire at approximately 5:30 PM. My usual mechanic was closed, and I did not want to get stranded. So, I drove to Tire Kingdom to purchase a new tire. The attendant looked at the tire and the other one, and said I really need two new tires (I knew that) and an alignment. I stated I am not working many hours, and can only afford to have the tire with the nail replaced. I waited during the two hours while they "replaced" it, and I left thinking all was OK, but things were not OK because the total expense wax $71.46.

I have a 2010 Mazda 3 five-door hatchback that had original Yokohama tires that were smooth after only 22000 miles. I called Yokohama. They said carry it to their nearest agent Tire Kingdom, Davie.
I took it there and spoke to Tony. He looked at the tires and said that they were cutting and asked if I did any alignment on the car; I said no. He said that Yokohama would do nothing for me. We talked about pricing of new tires, installation, balancing and alignment. I said that I would get back to him after I do some research online.
I decided to buy four new Kumho tires from Tire Rack and have Tire Kingdom install balance and aligned. This was done on 8/22/11 at a total cost of $203.62. The car started to drift and shake so I returned the car on 8/23/11. The car continued to shake and drift so I returned the car on 8/26/11.
Today is 8/30/11. I called Tony at TK to tell him that I am still getting a strong shake from the steering. His reply was that something was wrong with the new Kumho tires and gave the impression that he was not going to attempt to fix the problem again because he believes that he fixed it already.
I believe that this Tire Kingdom has received moneys from me but has not repaired my vehicle to at least a safe standard.

On 01/31/11, my husband brought one of our vehicles for an estimate on four tires even though ours were not all ready for replacement; we had one. He said they were going to give a "free" wheel alignment with purchase of four new tires and they do free rotation. Of course they're new tires, so? Then he also got the oil changed and keep in mind, this is a little PT Cruiser. So he got home and showed me the "receipt". Of course I "screamed" and said, "what the ** did you buy?". Because now I look at the "receipt" and not only is the "bill he paid" a total of $693.95, but the tires have zero mileage warranty.
So guess what? Ever heard of an upsell? If you ever worked retail or have been ripped off, you'd know what it means! So he got four new tires, those were with no warranty. The manager said they don't give that anymore with these tires. Oh, so they can rip you off when they sell you their "HP King's Royal Tire Service"! How about they call it, "Royal Ripoff Service"!. This is purely an upsell. So now he tells me when I asked him why did he also got charged $79.99 for a wheel alignment? He said, "well they said the check was free, but we needed it" --no we didn't. Later you'll find out why!
Then there's the charges for oil disposal fee for $3, then there's the Florida new tire fee for $4. Oh, then there's the tire disposal fee of $14. Wait not yet done. There are also more fees! How about $13.76 and they call that fee, "shop fees"! So after adding all that and getting no free alignment and no new tires with any warranty, so you had to buy their coverage (upsell) for $143.96 and then the other taxes on all that $39.29. You get to the total of $693.95.
Okay, so you're thinking well. A few things I can see why she's pissed. This car never shook and did shimmy until we got these four new tires and paid almost $700 for the privilege! Okay, so I went in to see the manager. Immediately, he of course (if you read this site) you'll know what the outcome was. I got no where, I explained it all and tried to. I got on with "life" and then got into that car again because I have my own vehicle and I said "nice, you pay almost $700 and the ** car is still shaking and obviously out of balance". Oh, I forgot to tell you, when we went back immediately, I told the manager that the car was not balanced and it was fine before these tires were put on. Of course, he explained that too and they said they just needed a little more "balancing"!
Fast forward to weeks later when I got in this car again and realize it's still unbalanced and shaking. My husband took it back again for more balancing! Now after 3 times, maybe 4 counting the one they did nothing because they said they were fine, I wrote to corporate. Oh yes, real funny! Why do I say that? Because instead of acknowledging my complaint, they just sent a copy to the Suntree store so they can all get a laugh at how pissed I was! How do I know this? Well, because when my husband went back this last time, and again they attempted to balance again, they told him "oh yeah, we got your wife's email".
At this time, my husband had told them that our daughter who lives in Orlando had a problem with a battery for her jeep and she had taken it to Firestone store and they had obviously tried "initially" to put the battery in improperly and blew out her gauges! To this they replied to my husband, "well maybe your wife needs to write them an email". Here's the thing, Firestone has since after my daughter wrote to them called, acknowledged her complaint and owned up to their mistake and reimbursed her for everything. Good going Firestone! A great company does exist! So you would think that's the end? Nope! There's more!
I wrote the corporate again and again, they ignored that and my husband (after now the 4th time) came home still totally unimpressed and still with a vehicle and now four new tires that were bought just in January. Here we are august and all this time, never have they "fixed" or acknowledged any problems. So the car is still shaking and horribly still unbalanced. So I decided, well there is a new Tire Kingdom and since we are stuck with these crap tires and the crappy tire service, we paid an additional $143.96 for let's see what they'll do?
So yesterday, my husband went in and they took it for no less than 3 separate rides. Low and behold, an out of round tire! At least that's what they found. They have ordered another tire and we will see if this "fixes" the problem we've now had for over 7 months, after spending $693.95! At least this store did spend the time checking the tires and the vehicle, ruled out anything else wrong with it, except the tires! And so now, we'll see if they can get the one tire and if this fixes the 7-month long problem.
Point also is: Do not waste your money thinking this company or after the "ripoff sale and payment" that this company cares anything about customer service! They do not know the meaning of that word! They would rather have a good laugh at your expense! I will follow up to see if this new store here in Melbourne does fix the problem. But they at least did try and locate the problem and are working to solve the problem! Much more than the Suntree Tire Kingdom or corporate ever did for the past 7 months! Good going though, Firestone in Orlando! Now I hope to be able to recommend the TK in Viera. Buyers, beware of Tire Kingdom and especially the Suntree store!

My timing jumped on my 2005 Dodge Stratus SXT on a Labor Day weekend of 2010 in Lake City. I had my car towed to Tire Kingdom where Brad, the manager, assisted me. My car was left there for over a week and when I returned to pay for the repairs, Brad advised me that the mechanic was unable to get my engine light to go off. The mechanic, Kenneth **, advised me that I would have to drive my car a certain way. He said to not try and pull off with speed until the speedometer reached between 30-35 rpm so the car would smooth out. So, for a year, my engine light was on and I wasn't able to gain any speed until I reached 30-35 rpm.
I know nothing about cars that is why I chose a reputable business to have the work done. I drove my car for almost a year until it was time for emissions. This is where I failed the emissions test because of the engine light. I went to two NTB locations, who, I must add, was very friendly and knowledgeable. They actually took the time to educate me on what was going on with my vehicle. I paid $1,039.00 to Tire Kingdom and my car was still a hazard on the road. I could have seriously hurt myself driving that car.
As of August 23, 2011, NTB at 1405 East Cobb Drive, Marietta GA 30068, finally fixed my car. The timing had to be reset and they did it in two to four hours, which took Tire Kingdom 10-12 hours. I feel ripped off. The mechanic at Tire Kingdom seemed to be intoxicated the two to three times that I spoke with him. I'm highly upset now. I’m looking to get a refund on the hours I was charged for the labor because the mechanic was nowhere near experienced to do the work. I would like to be contacted as soon as possible!

Took our truck to a local Tire Kingdom to get our tire fix. While my husband was waiting he looked into the bay through the window and to his surprise see the employee scraping something off underneath our truck. The employee completely scraped of the lock mechanism for the spare tire. We were told to take it to the dealer, because they are the only ones who could fix it and to bring the estimate back to tire kingdom and they would submit the claim for a half of bumper that NEEDS to be replaced.
We were assured that a check would be sent to the dealer within 2 weeks. It is now 2 1/2 weeks and the dealer has not received a check. The dealer had told me that someone from corporate had called and that he returned the call and left messages 7 times and no call back. I call and talked to the most unpleasant, nasty, customer service rep. from Tire Kingdom who then talked to the person who called the dealer and told me I needed to contact the area manager. After dropping my car off at TireKingdom to have four new tires installed and a wheel alignment, I returned home to wait for it to be completed. I received a phone call from the store stating that I was going to need to purchase a camber bolt kit at the cost of $400+ dollars in order to bring the cars alignment into specifications. I told them to stop what they were doing and wait for me to go back to the store so they can show me what the problem is. (At this point on the story I would like to add that I perform all the repairs on my cars, and have for over 25 years, and before taking the car into them, I performed a procedure to the lower mounting bolt hole in the front strut assemblies to allow for more adjustment of camber).
Arriving at the store, they led me to my car and they tried to tell me that there was no possible way to bring the camber more positive, because the best they could do was -2 degrees, and that it would go no further. When the old tires that they removed from the front of the car had very clear signs of wear that the camber was off in the positive respectively. I had to explain to them that they had to loosen booth lower strut mounting bolts to allow the spindle to move into place.
I stood their and watched as they removed the car from the alignment rack, and moved it to a vehicle lift so they could loosen the bolts. When the man with the air power tool massaged the last mount bolt, the spindle dropped into place from gravity alone, and such happened with the other side of the car also. The technicians all of a sudden became very quite and agreeable with me and started to echo to themselves the point that I was making on the method of action needed to be taken to rectify the issue, that should not have been an issue in the first place. When they finished the job, they showed me the screen on the alignment machine that displayed all the alignment figures. They said they could still not go any more than where they have it at now but was in the green. Meaning Ok.

When I got the car back, I drove it to work one day and after that it was making a funny noise so I quit driving it and took it to my neighborhood garage to fix my heat and to check the oil.
Because of the noise it was making I left the car there and came back to pick the car up and he told me that Tire Kingdom had put 5w oil in it, according to the sticker on the window and that the oil filter was leaking so he changed the oil and filter again, after I just had it done. Now the rod bearings in my car are making noise and will have to be replaced. Well after finding this out, I went back up to Tire Kingdom to speak to the store manager and showed him the sticker they put on the windshield and the paperwork that specified that they use 10w40, not anything else. He told me that they did it according to the manufacturer's specs.
I just stood there and listened to him lie to me over and over again. After that, a girl and her mother brought their car in to get an oil change and heard me getting upset and just left because he told her it would be couple of hours because he was shorthanded. I told him I wanted my money back for the oil change because they did not listen to their customer, completely ignored my request on my oil specifications, and should help me pay for the rod bearings to be replaced. I have used Tire Kingdom at the Belcher Road location many times for tires and alignments. This is the first time that a major problem could have turned fatal. I took my 2005 Beetle to this store and said I think I need an alignment, the car is shaking as I drive. They recommended new tires, struts and shock absorbers. They told me the front tires were worn down to the "replace level" and that this should all be done to take care of my problem. After hearing the price, I told them to do the alignment only and I would have the rest done later. I was only back at the office a brief period of time when Tire Kingdom called about the struts, they said they really need to be replaced and quoted me approximately $500.00. I said no and said I would pick up the car. To may amazement, they said the alignment was done! I could come and get the car and pay for it, which I did.
On my way home (I live approximately 200 miles away), the car shook, the alignment did nothing to help this problem. The next day, I drove in to work, the car was shaking badly in fact, I called a local mechanic I know (he owns his own shop) and said I would be there soon. My car is shaking very badly. When I arrived, he test drove the car and said your car is shaking to the extreme but I do not think it is the struts or shocks. He put the car on the life and called me over to show me. The cause of the problem was the driver side axle! It was ready to break apart. When I drive to work, I am on highways with speeds of 70 or greater. I asked the mechanic, just what would have happened if that axle had broken? He said that axle runs at the similar speed of the car, it would have separated and tore into your transmission. Meaning, I would have lost control of the car on a major highway without warning, leaving my wife and daughter to plan my funeral at a time of year when we normally celebrate Christmas.
When you tell a store what the problem is, you expect them to investigate the possible problems. In this case, had I let Tire Kingdom replace the struts, shock absorbers and tires (costing over one thousand dollars), I would not have solved the problem but also in this case, I would have left family without a husband and father.

I took my Honda Pilot for a synthetic oil change, I asked if the tires would be rotated and how long would it take. He told me it would be fast because there were cars, business was slow, but then he said it would probably take an hour. This was at 3:30 pm and there were no cars being worked on. There was one car with its hood up but I watched them for over 45 minutes and no one touched the car. The employees are the laziest people I have ever seen. They were all leaning up against a table talking to each other. I was very patient, they left my car in the parking lot for 35 minutes and then when they brought it in, they let it sit there for another 10-15 minutes.
Finally, when he took the wheels off, he came in to inform me that my Honda needed new front brake pads. They asked if I wanted to replace them. I laughed and said, "Are you kidding me? You people are so slow, you haven't even changed the oil yet and it's been 50 minutes." He informed me that he had told me it would take approximately one hour, true, but when they finally put the tires back on, which they did not even bother to check the tire pressure, I asked if the windshield fluid had been checked and the man assured me, "Yes, we even added fluid." What a liar. I watched them do the work through a window and they didn't check anything!
When I finally drove off it had taken over an hour and a half. I left Tire Kingdom so upset at myself for not speaking up. But I can assure you this, they are lazy people, and to think that the store manager doesn't tell them to get to work, at least when a customer is waiting for her vehicle. Instead, they were talking, laughing and just leaning against a table doing nothing! It was a nightmare going to Tire Kingdom, I will never take my Honda back to them! By the way, the estimate they gave me for front brake pads was with an 11-hour labor. They way they work or don't work would probably take them 11 hours.
What a joke. The car sitting in their garage with no one touching it for over an hour while the poor owner is paying labor charges. That to me is stealing from the consumer.

I took my 2002 Kia Sedona to have the tires rotated at this Tire Kingdom because I bought the tires from this store and bought the service to have them rotated for the life of the tire. They told me that I needed two new tires and they had found a bad wheel bearing on the left front wheel. I agreed to the two new tires, which they never showed me to be bad.
I told them to go ahead and replace the left front wheel bearing. They came into their waiting area and informed me that they could not remove the bearing and would have to replace the entire drive axle. I asked to see the problem and I talked to the supposed-to-be mechanic and he showed me where he had beaten the old axle until he had a mushroom where the wheel nut goes.
By this time, I was anxious to get my vehicle and go home, so I agreed for them to replace the entire axle. Hours later, they told me that the van was ready and handed me the center hub caps in a plastic bag saying they could not get them on the hub, they had taken them off. My bill was over $600. I paid the bill and got in my van to drive home. It jumped up and down, sort of pitching to one side or the other.
I took the vehicle back the next day and told them something was wrong with the struts on the front. They drove it around, came back and told me it was alright. I knew it wasn't and took the van to another shop. They found that Tire Kingdom had jammed the left front strut in an open condition and it would not move up and down like it supposed to.
To make a long story short, it cost me another $1650 to get my van operating and riding like it supposed to. I'm 78 years old and did most all the mechanical work on my vehicles since I was 18 years old. I just don't like to crawl under them any more. Therefore, it's hard to fool this old man when it comes to whether something is done right or not.
My suggestion to anyone reading this, stay away from any Tire Kingdom store! The manager had the audacity to write me and tell me that I should buy two additional tires to make the vehicle ride better. They never quit trying to rip you off! There are four other persons that I know personally that have been ripped off. I'm still trying to find used center hub caps.

Richard told me that there was going to be no interest for a year after applying for the credit card but the agreement terms read that no interest was only for six months.
Then when I went to put the tires on, he told me that it was going to take about an hour but it took four hours. The tires were on special buy two get two free with the purchase of a premium package which included an alignment. After my SUV was aligned it was pulling uncontrollably to the left. I took it back and they realigned it for the second time but this time it was pulling to the right. I was fortunate that my husband is a mechanic so he ended up doing the alignment. My husband's truck, by the way, was not alignment to specific either.
Tire Kingdom is just a money greedy company, full of lies and trickery. That company has poor customer service consideration. They hire unqualified and inexperienced techs. My wife had a coupon for a free alignment, signed by a previous manager, given as a door prize to the civic association. The expiration was marked through and the date he signed it was after the expiration date. So it had no expiration (not because the exp. was marked through, but because his dated signature was after said date. I don't think he was trying to con the Middleburg civic association. The manager of the Middleburg, Fl store refused to honor the Tire Kingdom coupon! My wife, being the compliant person that she is, let them go ahead and do the alignment and charge her. I had told her to get a readout of the alignment specs before she went.
Good thing I did. First they didn't put any "before" readings which I thought was suspicious. When I examined the "after" readings for the toe end, they were at the far end of the range. One more 1 hundredth of a degree and it would have been out of spec. on both tires. This tells me that they checked the alignment, found it in spec. barely, and charged her for work they didn't do. No one sets the toe end to the edge of allowable range when adjusting, they would set it close to the middle which is the spec number. That was the only adjustment they could do on this car, the chamber is not adjustable unless changes are made.
There is only supposed to be a charge if they actually adjusted something. So they ripped us off by refusing to honor a good coupon and charged $72.75 for work they didn't do! We want the coupon honored and our money back and the auto actually set close to specs, which are not what Chrysler lists, and is another matter altogether. Yesterday (10/14/10), I took my Saturn into a Firestone Auto Center to get my brakes done, mileage at this time was 74,644. I got a call from the service guy and he told me that my brake fluid needed to be flushed. I told him that was impossible; I had just gotten it done.
When I picked up my car he showed me a test strip which showed a level of 0 being the best and 300 being the worst, mine was a 300. He told me if they had done anything, it had been a very bad job. Today, I went to Tire Kingdom to try and get a refund. I spoke with "Moe". He tried to give me every reason in the book on why it would look like that, even telling me that they used the same test strips there and that they detected moisture and maybe there was condensation in my line.
It says right on the strip, "this is not a moisture or petroleum test; this tests the levels of copper" in my brake fluid. I told him that a brake flush is scheduled to be done every 15 to 30,000 miles, that if the flush had been done correctly, it shouldn't have needed to be done again 4,500 miles later. He refused to give me my money back saying it was impossible that they would do another brake flush for free but I couldn't get a refund.
He told me I could stand there and watch. I asked him if they would use the same strip to test the brake fluid after they were done, since he had said earlier in our conversation they used those, he then told me they were "out". I do not trust this place.
My husband is in the military serving in Iraq right now. In a few months, I have to drive 22 hours with my two children alone to see him home and I would like my car to be caught up on all maintenance. I do not trust that they will do it correctly . I shouldn't have to stand there and watch them fix my car to make sure it is done right. I would like a full refund of my brake flush so I could take it back to Firestone to get the service done.

My wife took the car in for new brakes. They said the brakes and calipers needed to be replaced and the cost was $950.00 to do the work. I am out of town and after some checking, I found that the calipers probably didn't need replacing at all (only have 50,000 miles on the car). She finally got them back on the phone and told them not to do any work on the car and she drove it home.
Our mechanic neighbor said there was no reason to replace the calipers, and the total brake work should cost no more then $300 for brakes and rotor work. Tire kingdom is a rip-off and will do their best to 'scare you' into getting unnecessary work done on your car.

I took some time to read all the complaints that were registered on this web site and others. I want to give closure to all of you regarding your complaints. I was a previous employee of Tire Kingdom. I gave two weeks notice and resigned on good terms. I want to tell every one of you that you are right regarding all of your concerns. Tire Kingdom seeks to employ only those who have no problem lying to the customer. A great manager is one who makes the numbers, at least in their eyes.
They offer a very strict training program. However, when you get in the real world as an employee, never have I seen such direct theft from the customer and employee. I could not believe my eyes when I saw first hand employees not only lie to the customer but go to great lengths to hide any mistakes. I discovered a serious error with their commission system. The company, in a very sneaky way, takes more then 10 million dollars back from their sales people each year. I am sorry that all of you were a victim to Tire Kingdom. You should get an attorney and file charges on them for their dishonest actions.

My husband ordered two new tires. The day we were called to have the tires installed, my husband was not feeling well; so he asked me to take the car in for the tires. He said it would take approximately 15 minutes to 1/2 hour. After a much longer time, Mr. N. talked to me about various other concerns. I called my husband to tell him I was still at Tire Kingdom and the car was not ready. When Mr. N. realized I was talking with my husband, he then also called my husband. The point of my complaint is there was no reason for anything to be checked on our car. It had recently been serviced. The only thing Tire Kingdom was to do was put the new tires on the car. We are not happy with Tire Kingdom. Do not e-mail me for any reason. I feel dishonesty was involved and it was a waste of my time. I left very upset.

I took my car in to have a repair done on a tire with a screw in it. After about an hour, I received a phone call from the store and they told me that the tire could not be repaired. They told me that it needed to be replaced and the cost would be around $350.
I told them I would get back with them and looked online for a price of the tire I needed. After finding out the tire could be ordered for $177, I decided to go back to the shop to discuss it. I arrived at the shop to find my car sitting half way in the stall with nothing done to the tire. I proceeded to ask the individual at the desk how they could tell it could not be repaired without removing the tire from the wheel. He told me that the screw was too close to the side wall to repair. So, I asked him why it would cost $350 for a tire when I could find one for $177 online.
He then conveniently realized that he quoted for a more expensive version of the tire and that after install and shipping and all the other fees it would cost me $270 instead. I did not have a good feeling about the situation and decided to take the car and go somewhere else to see if I got the same story. I called around and found out I could get a new tire for $217 to $230 between a few different shops. I decided to take the car to Discount Tire who does free flat repairs and would replace the tire for $230 if needed.
I arrived and was promptly greeted and helped with the car. They brought it in the bay and took the tire off the car, pulled the screw out and sprayed the tire with some leak detect. The screw didn't even penetrate the tire all the way through. The mechanic looked at me and gave me a thumbs-up, saying you’re good to go. He installed the tire and checked the pressure. Shined up all the tires on the car and I paid a whopping $0.00 for the service. Be careful out there: they will try to ** you if they get a chance!

On October 25, 2007, I went to Tire Kingdom to have new belts put on and a new battery installed. I walked over to a nearby shopping plaza to kill time and received a call from the mechanic who said my alternator was making some noise and it should be replaced while he's already in the process of changing the belts. He's the mechanic so I trusted him and I have been a customer since 2001. Yesterday, my truck started stalling on my way to work. I was driving 50mph. I pulled off the road and called AAA and they towed me to a garage and they said I needed a new alternator. The manager at Dougs BP called Tire Kingdom for me to let them know this alternator is defective.
I have all the Tire Kingdom receipts in my truck and it shows the alternator was an outside purchase. Tire Kingdom gave the phone number to Dougs BP and they called Bennett Auto Parts store. Bennett Auto Parts said they would give me a new alternator and all they needed was the numbers that were engraved on the alternator. There were no numbers on it! It was my old original alternator with the word Nissan on it! So 2 years ago I paid Tire Kingdom $268.64 for a part they never put in!

I was traveling from Coral Springs Florida to Tampa on a Sunday afternoon. Just before I got into the town of Okeechobee, my upper radiator hose blew out. I was able to drive my car to a Tire Kingdom store that miraculously was open on Sunday afternoon. At least I thought it was a miracle. I told the mechanic at the desk my situation that I was on my way to Tampa and needed to get it fixed as soon as possible. They seemed sincere in helping me but when I got the quote I wasn't so sure.
To replace an "upper" radiator hose, thermostat and gaskets, flush the coolant and replace with new coolant the price was a staggering $420! But, I was stuck and had no choice with no other alternatives. So I okayed the work and in two hours I was back on the road .While driving back, I noticed that my temperature gauge was running hotter than normal which worried me considering the work that was just done. Once I got to Tampa, I was able to check the work more closely and the first thing I noticed was that the coolant reservoir was almost empty and what fluid was in there was the old fluid. So the repair was only partial, the system wasn't flushed and no new coolant added. That part of the bill was over $100! Now I'm not even sure that they replaced the thermostat. The only evidence of any work being done is a new hose on top of the radiator. They either carelessly or purposefully did not complete the work that I was charged for. Either way, I got ripped off! I had to pay for incomplete repairs, inflated charges and then I had to buy coolant myself to refill the reservoir.

When I asked the manager to look around for it, he went through the motions and obviously did not look closely for such small items and said, "see, you must have lost it." There was no further explanation. So now after 13 yrs, I have a van with no lug nut, and no hub cap. Either someone was neglectful and forgot to put these items back on or someone in the shop needed a lug and a hubcap from this model van. Running a vehicle without a lug nut on the wheel can be dangerous. I would like these items replaced or I will not bring my 3 vehicles back to Tire Kingdom.

The manager called me and said my front two tires needed to be replaced and that I had damaged them by running over or hitting something and my struts were going bad so that may also cause the problem. Since I did not purchase road hazard I would have pay full price for two new tires.
On top of that, they sent me a quote for over two thousand dollars worth of work that needed to be done my car runs fine absolutely no problems and my boss reviewed and he said it was ridiculous at what they listed and what the charges would be and what is ironic about this is the last time I took it in for service they said I needed a new serpentine belt ASAP and the charge would be approx $300.00 I declined the service and I called other mechanic referred to me. He quoted me a third of the price and when he looked at it said it was fine and didn’t need to be replaced. now on the newest quote Tire Kingdom doesn’t even mention this belt that I never had changed that they said was so deteriorated previously
Anyways, I did not have them change out my tires I picked up car took to another place to get second opinion, first only one tire needed to be placed but mostly they said there was no way I could’ve done that damage and the tire was in fact defective. They were able to contact tire manufacturer and give me a new tire at a pro-rated price obviously much lower than Tire Kingdom wanted to charge me. I was then told that it was the transmission and I should take it to someone they knew in Oldsmar FL.
I am disabled in a wheelchair. I am afraid the car will break down and cause an accident. As I did, I noticed that no wheel alignment was done because there was grease and dirt on the parts that you adjust do align the wheels, they looked like they had not been touched.
On Friday July 30th, 2010. I went in to complaint about what was done and not done to my car, the manager got upset because I was complaining to him. His word were he had nothing to do with this. I tried telling him that he was the manager and that's why I was complaining. After 2 hours of waiting, to no avail. He came back and told me that the alignment machine was broke and he could not help me. He showed me the machine so that I would not think he was brushing me off. I then asked if I could take my car somewhere else. He said yes and pointed me to one other store. I went and made an appointment for Monday July 2. We will see.
When I told him about the employee at first, he said that man was fired then later he said he sent that man to another store. His remark was he is not here it's not my problem. On March 15, 2010, I had a right hub bearing put on with a 12,000 mile warranty. A couple of weeks ago, I started having a loud noise at my right tire. On Friday 07, 2010, I went to the store and asked them to check my right tire. The sale person said my tire was cupping and gave me a price for struts and won't even look at the wheel.
Then on Saturday, my daughters boy friend went over there to tell them my tire was not cupping and it was probably a hub bearing. So on Monday I went back 2 times and they looked at it and said it was not the right hub bearing but the left one and James gave me a estimate order # 9249646. When I got home, he is charging me for 2 hun bearings. Now I've had the left one done some place else and I still have the awful noise on my right front tire.
If it is under warranty, why am I paying for it? Shouldn't it be fixed without me paying for it again? I do not want to go back to that shop again. If you have another shop who would take care of it I would appreciate it.

I'm not sure who to turn to with my problem. I already contacted the Better Business Bureau about this, and they seem to be doing their part, but I don't think it's enough.
Here's my problem. I purchased a set of new tires from Tire Kingdom a year or so ago for $1,000 dollars. Roughly 6 months ago, my family and I (including our 3-year old granddaughter) were on our way to Crystal River for vacation, and I had a front blow out. My granddaughter freaked out. Anyway, when we got back to Holiday, I went to Tire Kingdom and showed them the tire that blew. They said that it was my fault due to lack of air pressure in the tire. I drive an '04 F-150 that is in great shape, as in I take care of my vehicle. I know the difference between a fully inflated tire and a tire that's on the rim. Me and one of the store managers got in an argument, and they would sell me another new tire for $108.00 dollars. I got nothing accomplished that day.
I went back a few days later and talked to a different store manager. He said that same thing the first one said. Another argument formed, then I left. I contacted the BBB and they contacted Tire Kingdom, and a Joey **, Area Director of Sales. Tire Kingdom emailed me about my problem. I responded to his email by calling him. I left a voice message telling him who I was. He never called me back. So, I called him back two more times with no response. I don't know what is going on with this business. They are seeming a bit flaky to me. So I emailed the BBB once more about this so-called contact with Joey **. This was on Wednesday, I have yet to hear back from anyone. I have one blown tire and two more defective tires.

I'm glad that I didn't pursue the brake job as the oil change was faulty and I ended up with a driveway full of oil until my husband took the car back. I went to Tire Kingdom for an oil change. I walked out with four new tires. Second time, I went for an oil change, walked out with two new belts. Third time, I went for an oil change, they told me I need new shocks. So yesterday, I took my car to my own mechanic (after being taken every time I walk in there) and he told me my two front tire were bad. Now that's after being at Tire Kingdom on Saturday when they told me I needed new shocks. However, they failed to tell me about my two front tires which supposedly are under warranty for 40,000 miles which is a lie.
I called Adolfo to tell him and see about my warranty and all he could tell me is that they would pro-rate if I needed new tires. I would not buy nor have anyone from there touch my car again. When they put the new belts in, my car squealed like a pig. I called to find out why and they told me it would take time for the belts to adjust. Well that was months ago and guess what, they were still squealing when I went back Saturday for the oil change and they finally adjusted them. I don't know if it's because I'm a woman or they just take advantage of everyone that walks through the door. Adolfo was very abrupt and did not want to discuss anything at all. I just took my van on the 1-95 and could not go past 70 because of how bad it was shaking. When I took the van in to get fixed, I was told that this would no longer happen after they fixed it. I looked at the part and it is rusted and does not look like a brand new part. There’s just no way that a brand new part is going get that rusted in two months. I know that’s the same part, and not a new part.

My Mercedes needed two rear tires. I did some shopping around and made the huge mistake of calling Tire Kingdom in Crystal River, FL. I've never been to Tire Kingdom and had no idea what a terrible reputation they have. I liked the price I was quoted on the phone and had my car there within 20 minutes. The manager wrote up the order for the two tires that we talked about over the phone and somehow the tire price had jumped to over $100 more than what I was quoted 20 minutes before. I know inflation is taking its toll, but $100+ in less than 20 minutes? I said something to the manager about the price and he went over the bill and said, "Well, you won't need some of this stuff and the price went down to almost what I was quoted." I told the manager that the rims needed to have bead seal or they would leak. Something about the AMG rims never really sealed good unless you soap them real well or put bead seal on them.
That night, I needed to take a 200 mile round trip and this is where things started going bad. My car that handled perfect before the tires was now wandering and felt as if it was floating. On some corners, it felt as if the back was trying to come around to the front. I figured the alignment must be out and the new tires are exaggerating the feel of it. I called Tire Kingdom the next morning and took my car right over for an alignment. Alignment tech told me that Mercedes likes to wear the inside of the tire and that was just the way they were designed. I heard that before and didn't question it. After paying for an alignment, I was still getting that uneasy sway the car wasn't really handling any better than before.
The next day, I had to take my car to Tampa for a transmission service at a Mercedes garage. I noticed my right front tire was a little low on air before I left so I checked it for leaks, it was a small bead leak. So I topped the tire off and went on my way. After I got to the Mercedes garage, I bet I wasn't there five minutes when the tech servicing my transmission asked me to come out to the garage. The tech showed me that Mercedes AMG package has a wide rim for the back and a narrow rim for the front. I had one wide on the front and one narrow on the back. The tech said this car must handle funny. I told him that it was handling terrible. The tech also pointed out that they put the wrong size tires on the back. The tech said I probably didn't need an alignment to begin with.
After leaving the Mercedes garage, I went straight back to Tire Kingdom and showed them the problem. The manager came out and argued with me, telling me that the one wide rim and the one narrow in the back and vice versa on the other side wouldn't make a difference in the way the car would handle. I insisted I wanted them change around to where they should be and he did it at no charge. I told the manager that I would pay to have the front tire on the other side of the car resealed. The manager asked me how I knew it was a bead seal. I told him that I sprayed a little armor all around the bead and it was blowing bubbles. He then snatched up a bottle of soapy water and sprayed it for himself. I also was concerned about the alignment that I just paid for the day before being off, due to the rims being different. The manager said it wouldn't matter. I told him about them putting wrong size tire being on the back, but told him that at that point, I just wanted the rims changed around. The car now has the exact same size tires on all four wheels rather than 45s in the front and 40s in the back.
After paying for the tire to be resealed and having the other two switched around, I was on my way. The car handled a whole lot better as far as it was no longer floating. I did feel a little out of balance vibration at 55 to 60 but it wasn't terrible. Now, the car pulls slightly to the left, guess the rims did effect the alignment. The next morning my wife comes in and asks me to get up and take a look at the car. The two tires that Tire Kingdom switched around for me were both flat. The tire I paid to have bead sealed was flat. This is where I start getting a little irritated. I wake up to three flat tires.
I let my wife drive my truck to work and I got out the compressor and put air in the tires. All three tires had bead leaks. I decided that if you want anything done right you have to do it yourself. I took all three tires down. No bead seal on any of them, the bar code sticker was still on the bead of the tires (causing the leak on all three). Don't they check for bead leaks when they change tires especially when a customer pays you to fix a bead leak?
I made several calls and emailed complaints. I got a manager to agree to send me a check for the alignment that I didn't need and pay me back for the tire that I paid to have sealed that they made worse. I was given a reference number on my complaint and told a check would be sent out. I was also told that I would be called the following Monday to confirm that corporate was going to agree to the check. I have yet to receive that call, no check, no return on my email inquiries.
I will never use Tire Kingdom again. What should have been a simple tire change, turned into a nightmare. I know have to pay a reputable garage to do the alignment right and properly balance the tires. I had to fix the bead seals myself. The only charge I should have had to pay was for the tires and even they are the wrong size. All I can say is buyer beware. They don't even check for leaks before they put the tires on your car and send you on your way.

I was checking the job done and I noticed a big scratch on the passenger side wheel. Kept checking. Found out that they have scratched the wheel and switched with the passenger side and they said nothing to me.
I went to the store and I spoke with the store manager. Not only he was nasty about my claim he nearly called me a liar and finally told me he had someone who fixed that type of wheel but it will take a week. I agree and drove my car with the spare. A week later I went back for my tire. The big excuse: that can't be fixed. So I asked, now what? I commented that we should go to the Nissan place. He replied, no. I got another option. I commented to him I need my wheel fixed or replaced. He replied that one of his assistant manager was going to order one online; a week later, the wrong wheel. Again, frustrated I called the corporate office in Georgia. Within an hour I got a call from the store manager saying you did not have to call the corporate office. We are going to fix your car. I asked when. This is on a Saturday. Two weeks later after the incident, he responded we got to wait until Monday and go to the Nissan place and pick one up. I went in for a simple oil change in January. The Tire Kingdom technician did what in the industry is known as "Double Gasket". No seal at the oil filter due to leaving the old gasket in place. The newly changed oil spews out. In my case, about 3 miles down the road (gross negligence on Tire Kingdom's part), engine was totally starved of oil on a Ford Mustang V8. Diagnosis and fresh oil provided by an auto repair station where incident occurred, but now, after refill, the amber Caution Light is illuminated. This light has never been on in the history of car. I gave Tire Kingdom an opportunity to fix it, but they were unable. Next stop is to the dealership where it was purchased.
The Ford dealership, they fixed it. No more caution light, but it took two attempts due to idiosyncrasies of the on-board fault detector. Tire Kingdom paid one bill, but stuck me with the second invoice of $926. The second bill was for doing the same work on the opposite side of the V8 engine (necessary to get the light to extinguish).
My position was that Tire Kingdom broke it, Ford fixed it, and Tire Kingdom should pay to get the car back to the state existing when I drove in for the oil change. The district manager was pretty good at shifting blame, obfuscating, and denying responsibility. The unpleasant conversation ended when he stated: "You can't prove we caused the light to come on in the first place." Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for auto care. In not one instance was there an apology for their incompetence or hours I have spent attempting to get the car repaired.

I was informed that the rear brakes were metal to metal and was going to cost $304.89 to fix. I explained to the manager that the brakes were only 11 months and 18,416 miles old.
I'm not telling my age but let's put it this way, I have owned many new autos and never had to replace rear brakes before 50 to 60 thousand miles at the earliest. He could not explain why they wore out so soon. He offered to not charge labor but I still had to buy new rotors, total cost $233.18. I had the Buick SUV state inspected and all was okay on 1/4/2010 except I was made aware that front brakes were nearing the replacement point, but a trip to Fl. would not be a great risk. While in Fl., it developed a thumping in/around right front tire area. Not wanting to do a lot of excessive driving to locate a Buick dealer, I came across above mentioned Tire Kingdom.
The service upon entering was great and they test drove it and was able to repeat the noise. Further evaluation revealed it was the brake rotor that needs replacing. They recommended that both sides be done and I agreed. The person also felt that the rears were in need of replacement and I didn't agree but he went on to state the hazard possibilities if I didn't. Not being an expert, I agreed but it turns out he was no expert either. Cost for services was $804.01.
Upon returning home with the pads, I went to the dealer that performed inspection and he showed me the brake results of the inspection. He removed the left front wheel, pad measurement were within limits, visual inspection of rotor was okay, removed right rear wheel, pad well was within limits, visual of rotor was okay. Showing him the rear pads I had, it was his professional opinion they didn't need replacing nor did the rotors.
In addition, the parts appeared to come from NAPA and having worked there for a few years, know that their price structure is based on the amount purchased by a business. So, in my case, I was charged 80-100% above their cost. An estimate at a Midas Muffler shop was more than $100 less as was Kost Tire. I feel I was taken advantage of because I was from out of town and their scheme is to scare one into more that the need really is.
Although they charged me for what they did, if only they did what really needed to be done, the cost would have been around $300-$350. Thanks for this opportunity to express myself.

I called about the coupon sale that expires February 28, 2010 regarding any size tire. It is the sales pitch used in display and advertisements. I called and inquired about this and was advised that this sale is not as advertised. My tire size is 245X65X17 and I was told that does apply to any tire Cooper Brand. Well, this store never sells Cooper Tires so how can you advertise that Tire Kingdom!? I'm disappointed because I drove across this city of New Orleans where everything is far apart due to hurricane to purchase and be advised this does not apply due to non-stock of Cooper Tires, but to come in and purchase other brand tires. Bad advertisement!

Customer No. **, Invoice No. **. I took my Ford van in for a tire and had a coupon for oil and filter change, which included fluid check, lube, inspection and tire rotation. I had my brake light come on a few days prior and asked to check my brakes. The tire I got has a big seam, 1/4-inch deep on their Stampede store brand which they said was a great tire. I wanted Uniroyal Tiger Paws to match the ones I had bought there. They said they were no longer made. They did not lube anything and did not see the brake fluid leaking from the right rear even when they rotated the tire wet with fluid. I checked the brake fluid and it was over a pint low. Then I looked under the van and saw the leaking fluid.
This was only 10 minutes, 5 miles to my home. They never checked fluids, rear brakes, or lubed anything! And this tire is defective. I got talked down to, verbal abused, and they wanted to charge me the mounting and balancing again. They would not give me tire prices as I asked, but tried to get me to pay a price on tire upgrade, not the tire matching the price they say in the ads. I got mad and left unresolved. I do not trust them to work on my van any more, or their tires.

I have been a valued customer of establishment Tire Kingdom at E Independence. I have in my life time had more than five vehicles and I have always come to Tire Kingdom to have all of my car maintance needs, oil changes, tires rotated and changed. you name it I have had it done at Tire Kingdom. I went in May 2008 to have my oil changed and tires rotated like I always do. A couple of days later I noticed that the lug nut covers on my 2007 Saturn Vue were missing, I called back that next day to speak with someone at the store to let them know they were missing.
I spoke to someone claiming to be the manager by the name of Bob. I told him that I was in a couple days ago and had my oil changed and tires rotated and who ever did it forgot to put my lug nut covers back on. I also told him that I need them back on my car. The (manager) Bob placed me on hold for a few minutes and then came back to the phone and asked me for a number where I could be reached. I gave him my cell phone and my home number so he could call me back. It was 8:00am in the morning when I called; I was on my way to work. I called back the store at noon since I did not get a phone call back and spoke to Bob again and he told me that he was still looking for them and would call me back. That was Monday, he never called me back.
I waited all day Tuesday and still nothing, I finally called back on Wednesday and spoke to a female I told her what my situation was and why I was calling, she placed me on hold and for 10 minutes and then came back to the phone and again asked for my number and told me that she would call me back. That was around 5:36 pm I was on my way home form work, she never called back. I gave her a chance to give me a call back on Thursday, nothing, Friday nothing. I called back Friday morning and spoke to the (manager) and I use that term loosely, Bob he told me that they looked for the lug nut covers and they could not find them.
By this time I am [upset] completely. I had been getting the run around about these lug nut covers that your employees lost and did not want to take any responsibility for. I came in with them and left without them and they did not even seem to care. On Friday morning I spoke to Bob again, I was telling him that I was upset about the fact that I was told on Monday of that week that I would get a call back from him and never did. I went on to explain to him that I have been a customer of Tire Kingdom for over 7 years and I did not like nor appreciate the way I was being treated and my situation was being handled. I told him that one of his staff members rotated my tires and left the lug nut covers off and I want them back.
I came to his establishment with them on and I left without them. Someone needs to either find them or replace them. He proceeds to tell me that he looked for them and can't find them. So I asked him what am I supposed to do now. He tells me I don't know, but what I could do is go out and buy them and he would reimburse me for what I paid. After I got off the phone I was so fed up with Bob and Tire Kingdom, I called my husband and told him what I was told to do. He got very upset and called Bob back. He told Bob that it was not my responsibility to be riding all over town to find lug nut covers when I came to his establishment with them all in tact and through someone's negligence there, they forgot to put them back on. He told Bob that the same way he wanted me to ride around town he could do the same thing and either go or call Saturn and get them ordered and call me when they came in. He also told Bob that he did not appreciate the way they handled the entire situation. He was on the phone with the (manager) Bob for all of ten minutes if that and Bob was telling him that he would call Saturn and find out how much they cost and he would order them and have me come back in to have my lug nuts covered. This was one week ago and still nothing.
It is now May 28, 2008 and I had to call back again at 9:35am this morning. I spoke to Bob again and asked him if he had ordered the lug nut covers for my car and he proceeds to tell me that they have not come in. He took my number again this time I was at work and he told me he would call me back. It is amazing to me how this whole situation was handled. This incident could have been handled within a matter of days if Bob (the manager) really valued or cared about his customers. This is not even a major issue and he and the rest of his staff handled it poorly. I would hate to see how he would handle a situation that was much more difficult than this one. To me he is a poor example of leadership in your company and it is so called managers like him that would make your establishment loose business.
This was the last trip me or any of my friends and family make to Tire Kingdom for anything. You have just lost a customer for life and I will make sure that everyone I know who frequents the Tire Kingdom at E Independence Blvd location know what happened and how I was treated. This may not seem like a big deal to him or even to you but to me it is. I want my lug nut covers back on my car and an apology from your manager. And If I have to take this to the media I will. Don Griffith of action 9 would love to hear about this. Signed A lost Customer

I purchased 4 new tires on 10/6/07 and had an alignment done as well. On my way home, I took my hands off the steering wheel to make sure it drove straight, well, it immediately veered to the left really bad! I immediately turned around and went back (thinking the alignment wasn't done) but it turns out the store manager "Mike" told me it was the left front drivers side tire and that the radials inside the tire were bad. His exact words were "The worst I've ever seen and it happens in 1 out of every so many thousands of tires".
Well, they fixed it and everything seemed ok, until last night 12/2/07. I went out to run some errands and my right front passengers tire was completely flat. My first thought was, I had ran over a nail or something and was glad that I purchased the Tire Kingdom Road Hazard Warranty. I took the car back after work and had a friend follow me (since I had a donut tire on my car) and THIS time they said it was because "the barcode sticker on the inside of the tire was covering up the seal and due to the weather change, it caused the tire to lose air"! I will NEVER use NTB again!

went to Tire Kingdom in Salisbury NC on 11/9/07. I wanted two new tires, 4 wheels aligned, brakes checked for wear and an oil change. About an hour later I got a call telling me the brakes had quite a lot of life left. I declined replacing the brake pads. I signed the document authorizing the work to be done with a $4.00 shop charge (for consumables they tell me). Upon returning to pick up the car, I had an inflated shop charge of $14.00 and two unexplained $20.00 charges. They did an alignment check but nothing actually fixed--yet full charge for a 4- wheel alignment on the bill. A single print out still indicates the car to be in need of alignment. They were unable to produce the before alignment printout. All four tires were inflated to 70 psi. (I found this out after a short ride at 50 mph.)
I did not pay for the alignment , shop charge of $14.00 or the $40.00 fee. We took the car to another company to have an alignment done, and sure enough his starting numbers were the same as Tire Kingdom had tried to send me out the door with.

Since Tire Kingdom was bought out by Sumitomo tire in 4/05 their only thought has been on profit and not on customers or employees. with them!
The tires now have rounded edges with thin tread. Our question is, should we have not gotten more mileage out of these tires? We are both in our seventies and are normal drivers as best we can tell. No speeding, racing, etc. Our main concern is should we have these tires rotated now and/or plan on getting new tires. Is there another Michelin tire model that would be better service for us older folks? This is our first set of Michelin tires and we have always wanted to use your products, but was never able to work them in to our budget. Thank you very much for listening.
