DON'T DO IT!!!!! You will LITERALLY be giving up your firstborn child to be sacrificed. THEY ARE conniving, misleading and will HOLD YOUR HOUSE HOSTAGE. You WILL NOT be able to sell your home. Their sales representative paints a beautiful picture, energy company will pay you, LIE! To date, after 2 years, I've ONLY paid them. DON'T DO IT!!! DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM! The fact they are still in business is beyond me. I wonder how many more people they will defraud, mislead, and trick into thinking they are good idea. DON'T DO IT!!!

I sighed up for solar in February of last year and finally went online in June. In my 85 years of living, this is the absolute worst financial transaction I have ever made. I could write a book on what not to do with solar. You can tell a lot by their sales practices, their "tag team" sales force and misleading techniques. Basically one is only leasing power from your own roof and has proven that it's more expensive than remaining with the power company. Can you imagine leasing something to someone that's 85 for 25 years? This tells one how misleading the sales force was. It is not performing and just try to get in touch with the sales force???? My heirs will hate me when I'm gone for not being able to sell the house. If you are considering solar, always insist on a copy of the contract to review with your attorney before signing.

I had a very disappointing experience with Palmetto Energy Solutions. I sent a written cancellation letter within what I believed was an appropriate time frame. No one from the company contacted me to acknowledge receipt or discuss my request. When I later called Palmetto myself, I was told by a representative that I would need to pay approximately $29,000 to cancel the agreement—something that was never clearly explained to me at the time of signing.Since having the solar panels installed, my monthly costs are actually higher than before, not lower as advertised.

I definitely cannot recommend Palmetto. It was my understanding that the system would be designed to handle ninety percent of the load and all I would pay the utility was a thirty dollar a month connection fee to the grid. My payment to the utility company keeps going up every month. They even sent me a year end review that indicated I produced more than consumed but utility bill keeps going up. As for improving the value of my house I would think it lowers the value as the system is not doing what I was told it was told it would do. I did start a claim with their help center. No help whatsoever.

They have to be the worst company to deal with. The company that installed the solar panels were pigs. The system has not worked for 6 months and still not working. They keep taking your monthly payments and will not refund your monthly payments back. They said you signed a contract for 3 years. I signed a contract for the system to work! Do not use them. I’m sure I will have to get BBB, State Attorney and a lawyer involved to get my money back and the stuff off my roof.

Very unhappy with Palmetto. Do not do business with this company. Very friendly presentation with a lot of information. Salesperson was great. I remember clearly being told that my PG&E electric bill would be $0 except for the taxes and surcharges. Here is a record of my PG&E electric charges since inception. TOTAL ELECTRIC CHARGES: APR 2025: $155.87 MAY 2025: $122.18 JUNE 2025: $188.78 JULY 2025: $302.70 AUG 2025: $175.85 SEP 2025: $100.72 OCT 2025: $57.47 NOV 2025: $125.26. On top of this I have to pay their monthly charges. Maybe someone did the wrong calculations when they saw my past electric history. They have done some adjustments to the software but as you can see, I'm still paying PG$E. In my humble opinion I believe they need to install more solar panels and batteries.

Do not do business with this company. My husband and I are 73 and 82. The salespeople came to our home and did a very pushy presentation which we fell for. We were not told it was a 25 year contract. Was not told it was a contract of any kind. We were told it was no problem if we wanted to sell our house; if the buyer didn't want the system it would just be removed. No mention of us paying a penalty. Was not told we had to also pay our electric company a payment each month in addition to Palmetto. I have nothing good to say about this whole deceptive experience.

Very unhappy with Palmetto. Over promised and underperformed. Been waiting for 5 months for someone to help link the app with my utility company. No one ever calls back. Sorry I ever made the decision to go solar. Beware....

The Company lied about saving me money if I install Solar. My electric bills are still high with no help from the Company at all. I'm stuck with a system that isn't putting enough energy back on the grid in order to save me money. I've tried for months to receive help to fix the problem. The Company does not stand by their promise of reducing my electric bill. The person I spoke with couldn't even pronounce my name correctly. I'm stuck also with a lease that is costing me more than when I didn't have Solar. I don't suggest anyone doing business with Palmetto and would encourage anyone who is in the process of using them to cancel before they go any further. The company keeps claiming I'm using more energy. So, it shouldn't matter how much energy I use if the Solar is working properly to put energy on the grid. I have received no help from the Company! Palmetto/Light Reach Solar performance is NOT what was promised by the salesman Brett ** of Tucson, AZ. He promised me a $0 TEP power bill and showed to me several $0 TEP bills. I have paid TEP $140+ for the last 3 months. Installed was a 14 solar panels on a 1803sq ft home. Starting June 2025, I have a 25-year lease agreement, but I did not get that promised $0 cost in writing so Palmetto told me they will NOT do anything at all. A home of the same size, very close to me has 24 solar panels + Solar batteries and they do not pay TEP for power.

Palmetto Solar does not honor its warranties or contractual services post-installation. On June 24, 2025, I contacted the company regarding a critical issue detected on my system. I was informed that one of the inverters was sending an error code and needed to be replaced. The inverter was ordered from SolarEdge on the same day, and I received the new inverter on July 1, 2025. On July 22, a technician from SolarEdge was dispatched to replace the faulty inverter. Upon inspection, the technician determined that to replace the inverter, the Hardie siding around the system would need to be removed, which would require the services of a siding installer. Additionally, the technician identified issues with the second inverter, which also required replacement. This information was to be included in the technician's formal report.

Palmetto has left me with a $700 electric bill, and It doesn't provide enough energy. I have not changed anything regarding our consumption, however our bill is now double what it used to be. I will never use solar again.

Palmetto Solar is not reliable!!!! I have had four (4) different teams of techs to my house to fix a problem with my system not working. This is the problem the main cable from the meter into my house got shorted out!!! I was without solar power from June11, 2025 till June23, 2025 and then out on June 28 it went again with another electrical short on June 28, 2025 till July 10, 2025!!!! Now they say I have to wait till April 2026 for an evaluation to get any kind of compensation!!!! I would not advise anyone to use this company.

I can't believe you're doing the same thing you did to Gordon from Los Angeles, CA. My husband died also after signing us into this fraudulent contract for Solar. He had Brain problems before this Contract was signed and passed away before it was finished... I am his wife and don't know enough about this product. I was in grievance and didn't have the APP that was supposed to be put on my phone by the Sales person who didn't bother doing that. So I didn't know whether it was working or NOT!!! By the time I started receiving high Electric Bills, I called your Company and was told I would have to PAY $750 for your Technician to fix the problem... I am EXTREMELY overwhelmed with the action of this Company... I want it removed!!!!

No mention was made in their sales presentation that the program consisted of a lease obligation. This should have been disclosed at the sales presentation especially when I read there was only a 10 day window of refusal if unsatisfied with system. There is no way to gauge system performance in a 10 day window especially when my electric bill is issued every 30 days after the solar system is installed. This should be brought before Florida legal authorities as a deliberate act of deception. My goal was to help our environment by participating in clean energy production. Another senior citizen scammed.

Shady practices. Considered working with this group to get leased solar panels. Signed the agreement, but had voiced concerns about the condition of our roof and whether they would be good to install. They bypassed their own roof inspection to RUSH the job through. The installers wouldn't install because they were convinced the roof wasn't in good enough shape.

The Palmetto Solar company takes your money and you never hear from them again. No customer follow-up when your electric bill is double what they suggested for panels usage. My advice find another provider.

We got solar from this company (the installer was Lunex Power). Terrible experience. The sales reps miscalculated our average monthly usage by HALF, which meant we were paying our regular electric bill PLUS the monthly solar panel bill. We also had numerous issues with the polarity, so techs had to come out multiple times to fix the issue. Within the first month of having the panels, we identified these issues and finally got fed up and decided we had to cancel. Despite all the mistakes they made from the beginning, they want us to pay even more money to cancel. We wouldn’t have ever agreed to the panels had we not been lied to about how much money we would lose.

9/25/24 received email that our solar was not working. It was finally resolved 12/2/25. Phone is never answered, always have to leave a voice mail which goes unanswered. Email seems to be the way they like to work but they are not consistent and have very poor follow through. We were told they would have to outsource the service call and we would have to pay $360. When the service guy came two months later, he was in a Palmetto van, replaced a fuse and was gone in 15 minutes. Trust is gone. I wouldn't recommend Palmetto to anyone.

Palmetto Solar installed my system in Virginia Beach during November 2021. This last summer I started getting information that my system was not producing or communicating with 8 of the 16 panels. I contacted Palmetto in July to get the problem fixed. First thing they told me was that if squirrel chewed up my lines they would charge me a thousand dollars to send a team to make repairs. On Sept 12, yet two months later they finally send a tech to inspect and he confirmed squirrels has set up a nest under one of my panels and chewed up the cables. Now at no time during the sales pitch or installation process did anyone say anything about squirrels chewing up cables. It was the farthest thing from my mind.

Julius ** was the solar consultant that we spoke with and he was amazing. We had spoken to other solar companies/consultants prior and we really found Julius to be wonderful. He is not sales-y at all, he is very knowledgeable in all aspects of solar, credits, tax benefits, roof fixes, net metering, panels and battery. We trust him completely. He has integrity and charming at the same time. Palmetto Solar is very lucky to have him.

I am completely dissatisfied with these Solar panels. The amount I could "save" was an exaggeration to say the least, between my electric bill now, and my Solar panel payment, I am losing $80 a month. I have been trying to contact some decision-makers at Palmetto to get these Solar Panels off my roof for a while now. I am met with a customer service rep, who says "They will call you later" and never do. I simply want my money back and these things off my house. When talking to one rep, they let it slip that I shouldn't have even been give a savings quote, since we hadn't lived in our house a year, so the salesmen will say and do anything to get your money. I was lied to, and have been given the run around. Do not give these people your business!
