I opened a Kohl's account 3 years ago to establish credit. I have excellent payment history. My goal was $3000 credit availability. I paid off my account in full 10 days ago. According to Kohl's credit online, my payment posted 8 days ago and cleared my bank 7 days ago. Yet my account still shows a negative balance. My goal was to raise my score from fair to good, so that I can get a car loan with a better interest rate this week. But tomorrow the credit agencies will report my current score, and because Kohl's won't update my credit status, my credit report will reflect a negative balance. That, plus the fact that I haven't been able to use my Kohl's credit to make any purchases because it is showing that I don't have any available credit, even though I paid almost $3000 ten days ago. For that, I'm out. I will cut my card in half, open a Macy's account and boycott Kohl's for life.

First experience ordering my order got canceled for no apparent reason. I called and had to clarify it was actually an order I placed. 2nd order I wasn’t too impressed with the quality of items room darkening curtains but since returns are not free and I have no stores I didn’t want to pay to return things. 3rd and final order I got 8 towels and a curtain that was damaged. They were the big ones towels and totally crap quality, after one was the fabric was all filled with lint from the towel. I have no idea how the curtain had a hole but it did and that wasn’t going to work for room black out purposes.
I had to pay over $20.00 just to return my items and then I was not credited the correct amount of money. I did not get any email confirming my return was received but I saw it on my bank statement a smaller credit than I was expected. I called and asked for an itemized list of my returns but after 15 mins no one could find me on the computer. I asked why, technical difficulties they said. I then used the chat feature which sucks because it always times out and asked same questions. Can I get an itemized report of my returns? Can I get an email confirming it? Can you send me something?
Why isn’t anything listed under my online account that I can see in regards to my return? I was not able to get anything emailed to me and asked why (another technical difficulty they said). I do not understand why it is so hard to produce a document in regard to my return and credit given back. I am still left wondering and believe I was credited the wrong amount but nothing to compare it to and no one from customer service seems to be able to help. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, CHEAP PRODUCTS! I will not be shopping online with them or at this store ever again.

FYI: After my conversation with Latoya I did send a complaint to Michelle Gass's email.... she did Not even answer it. This summer I had to take FMLA (Family Medical Act Leave) from my job due to the serious health concerns of a family member. The leave lasted for 2 mos. and I didn't have my paycheck coming in to pay my bills. In August before the due dates, I contacted the creditors that I couldn't pay. I advised my circumstances, but promised that in September I would make both the August and September payments. I also asked them to remove any late fee.... All including Kohl's said that they would. In September I followed through and made the double payments. The late fees were removed.
To my surprise, in October Kohl's added a 2nd late fee, because I had made the double payments as agreed, but didn't pay the fee which was removed! I contacted customer service and was told that the amount due included that 2nd late fee, and could not change it. I left a message for Michelle Gass, the CEO, that this was unfair. Why was I obligated to pay a late fee that was removed incurring another late fee. Michelle Gass's assistant, Latoya, returned my call. She said that a minimum due "can't be changed" and kept repeating that the removal of the first late fee was simply "a courtesy". During our conversation she kept repeating, "But our terms and conditions state;" over and over.
In the year 2019 I find it impossible to believe that a correction to the amount due could not be fixed in Kohl's computer system. The other creditors did not give me problems, only Kohl's. I told her to cancel my account. Obviously the effort to fix this and remove the 2nd late fee was not worth the time to retain me as a customer. I was told that if I wrote a complaint letter to Michelle Gass that it would be handled by herself, Latoya! Ridiculous to lose a customer because of the refusal to adjust the minimum due and remove a 2nd late fee which should have NEVER occurred.

Canceled an order I had did online on October 1, 2019 and first of all they kept taking money from my debit card, then they refunded only 8.39 of my total order of 69.57, since then I have been patiently waiting for my refund of 61.18 and each time I call customer service they lie and say it will be on debit card in two days. Went from two days to seven days, from 7 days to 9 days, from 9 days to 14- 30 Day they are full of it and still to this day I haven’t received my total refund yet. Supervisor and all and what company do you know of where no one knows how to get in contact with corporate? I went to Kohl’s to look for a birthday gift for a girlfriend with no particular item in mind. I was delighted to find many choices, reasonably priced, including items I would buy for myself as well. I did need to locate a coupon online to make the price more affordable. Medical—tricky with no real internet access in the store, but I succeeded and with the ability to combine my coupon with “always on sale” prices at Kohl’s, I felt I got a great deal. I will say that I shop there infrequently, so the Kohl’s cash promotion—never good till the next day—is always wasted on me.

Terrible service and policies! You have lost a customer for life and I will make sure everyone I know cuts up their Kohl's credit cards. I have been in touch with multiple people in the Kohl's so called customer service department about a $2.10 bill that they sent to creditors. I made multiple attempts to use their app to pay this bill (which was an interest charge that appeared after I had paid my entire bill ON TIME), and even went IN PERSON to the store to attempt to make this payment. They were unable to process this. I finally figured out how to call the automated line and pay this $2.10 cent bill but apparently only AFTER they sent me to creditors.
I am attempting to refinance my home and the hit that my credit has taken over the $2.10 bill has made this impossible. No one at Kohl's cares one bit and states that this is their policy to send loyal customers to creditors regardless of the balance of the bill! I went through every step recommended by my financial advisor and after reviewing the issue, Kohl's still maintains that this is standard procedure and NOTHING CAN BE DONE. I refuse to do business with such a horrible company ever again!

Worst experience with a return - ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!! I ordered 2 men's hats for my fiance' and ordered the wrong size. I ordered them online because they weren't available at any store near me. I returned the hats by mail, which I had to pay for out of my pocket because there was no return label in either box knowing both of the hats were gifts. The items were received back (in mint condition) by their warehouse and they only wanted to refund a portion of the price I paid for the hats instead of the full amount paid. Neither hat was on sale at the time I purchased them and there was no reason given for the partial refund.
No one in customer service speaks English well and the complaint process with them is only done via e-mail online. My complaint was transferred to 6 different agents with no resolution. None of the agents could read English or understand English or spell which made me feel like I wasn't dealing with a "real" employee (made me feel like it was a scam). None of the agents read prior notes and kept asking for the same information that had already been provided. This has been such a nightmare and makes me not want to order from them again. I left a one star rating because I had to, however their return process and procedures doesn't even deserve a star at all!!

I have become accustomed to shopping with Amazon. Therefore, having to walk and search a large portion of the store in an attempt to find what I was looking for was not my favorite part. With so many different areas to search, it just became too time consuming. However, I was able to locate the perfect pair of pants for the occasion and was happy with my purchase. My visit to the store was made so pleasant when the cashier greeted me with a big smile and she also found a coupon for me to save me more money. Happy with the purchase and with the savings.

Kohl's is a good mid-priced store less expensive than Macy's, but more than Target/Walmart, on par with JCPenney and Sears but the store appearance overall is more attractive with better floor arrangement. If you watch the ads, almost everything will go on sale and then they often stack the savings with a % off coupon on top of that. Your best savings are with a credit card and discount offers several times a year. They also have order online and pick up in store. If you can't find something in store, check one of the kiosks in-store and if you find it online, you can order there and they will ship to you free of charge. Another fairly recent benefit is Amazon returns and they'll give you a % off coupon for using this service. Pretty great store with a wide a variety of items, easy return and price guarantee policies.

I purchased a Sealy convertible sofa from Kohl's at the beginning of September 2019. I paid an additional $100 for "LTL White Glove" delivery. When the sofa was delivered, the carrier's paperwork indicated "Threshold Delivery". The sofa weighed 180 lbs. and we could not physically move it. I contacted the customer service department at Kohl's who first told me that they could not help me. I requested a Supervisor who was unavailable. I was told that the Supervisor would call the carrier.
I called back on the following day and learned that the carrier had not been called. I was transferred to a different Supervisor who did call the carrier. She then called me back, provided me with a contact at the carrier, but then said that there was nothing further that she could do. She did not refer me to another department at Kohl's for assistance. Fortunately, the carrier was terrific and resolved the problem within 10 days. It is apparent that the customer service department has a limited ability to resolve more complex issues. Kohl's instructs the customer to contact customer service whenever there is a problem. There is no other way, by phone or e-mail to inform Kohl's about an error. I guess you could try to contact their Corporate Offices.

Purchased Citizen Eco Drive watch 9-13-19. Had researched watches online and the item I wanted was in stock. Watch band fit and I quickly completed my purchase. The watch was advertised as $250 on sale for $200 with some Kohl's cash voucher given. When I came home and went to register the watch online, the $250 tag was in the way of some of the numbers I needed. I carefully peeled the $250 sticker off. Underneath the $250 sticker was a smaller $225 sticker. So my savings were really $25, not $50. I can understand if a new watch came in and the price had been raised, but one that is already in stock? I will not use the Kohl's cash, I'll pass it on, and I will never shop at Kohl's again. After giving all of my information I was hung up on. I called back. Had to give all information again. They told me that part of my order was ready for pickup. I said I knew that but was calling about the other item. I asked if it was out of stock or when was it arriving in store. They had no clue. I called the store where I scheduled pickup. I asked if they could tell me when the second item would be available since it was supposed to have arrived yesterday. They had no clue. I ended up canceling the whole order. I ordered several items which took way longer than the shipping advice had predicted. When they finally arrived, several of the items were not what I ordered. I ordered polo shirts and got t shirts. I ordered adult clothes and received kids'. I returned and the girl said they were having a lot of similar wrong shipped items. I returned everything but the credit did not match the bill so they told me to call online and gave me a number. I think they credited me for the cheaper items they sent in error rather than what I ordered and was charged for. I called that day and was told a manual credit would be posted in a few days. The person barely spoke English so I called a second time to be sure it would be taken care of and was told the same thing.
Four months later I am receiving bills with late fees and finance charges. Over the time I have done the secure message but am fed up. I feel like I am babysitting incompetent children. Today collections called and offered to knock off some late fees if I paid today. I explained I HAVE NO MERCHANDISE==returned everything==so what would I be paying for? If anyone there is competent and can fix their many mistakes, my balance will be zero. I have wasted so much time driving to return the wrong items and trying to get my account corrected. Some workers are very empathetic and realize why I have not paid and others act like I'm lying and they could not have made that many mistakes. The representative seems appalled and assured me it was a mistake and to please get rid of or donate the shorts, and she would have another pair shipped. Unfortunately the size 8 were no longer in stock (fugues). Still want to know how the shipping label says it was in the bag? Today I received the new shorts, guess what? They are the wrong color and a size 16! Ugh back on the phone I go. Good thing I have all my notes.
Well unfortunately per the supervisor Anna, who I had to ask for because TJ was not understanding my English or wording or didn’t have his coffee or something, I don’t know what TJ was doing but providing customer service was not one of them. So it would seem that Kohls has a policy that they cannot do a refund or exchange if they have already done one for the same order #. Imagine my surprise when I tried to communicate with Anna that this size wasn’t the size I ordered or color and this was a replacement due to their error not mine. Anna was fully aware she saw the notes from the 23rd. So let’s just say Anna got a few strong words from me as a supervisor. She was unapologetic and seemed rather bored honestly. I made a purchase online for an in-store pick-up. Aside from the fact that, compared to other major brands, Kohl's has a woefully inferior system in place for in-store pick-up options (I absolutely would have spent **less than half** the time if I had just gone to the store and done everything myself), two days after this purchase was complete, Kohl's put a second charge on my card for an identical amount. When I contacted customer support to get this resolved, I was informed that sometimes Kohl's places multiple holds (sometimes 3!!) on cards "to ensure the security of the card."
This is an attempt to charge people multiple times and only reverse the charges when they are caught. There is no need to verify the veracity of my payment information two days after the debit has cleared my account. I have since removed my payment information from their website, but strongly recommend that no one makes any online purchases through Kohl's website. Not that it matters to them, but they just lost a customer for life.

I have an account with Kohl’s. I had recently purchased a dehumidifier on July 21, 2019. I had placed the order online. The dehumidifier was $279.99 -20% off which was $56 plus $14 for sales tax, free shipping and I also had a gift card of $50 that I use towards the purchase. My daughter and I had made the purchase online. We were using her phone using the app on her phone on Sunday evening. On the website it’s says for every $50 you spend you receive $10 back of Kohl’s cash.
We place the order between 630 to 7:30 PM that evening on July 21, 2019 Eastern standard time. And what was strange is that I did not receive an email confirmation that evening that the order had been placed. The following day on Monday, July 22, 2019 I receive the confirmation email that my order was received. And then I had contacted customer service because I hadn’t heard anything back for follow up emails and I didn’t receive my Kohl's cash. I didn’t hear from the representative until July 25, 2019 the package had already been delivered. I asked another question again to the representative about my Kohl’s cash and gift card. And then I was notified this morning July 29, 2019 to contact customer service in reference to my questions of where the Kohl's cash was and if they had received the gift card that I use towards the purchase.
I must say using the email format is completely discouraging because you do not hear back from the representatives as quickly as you should. I emailed the first time on 22 July and I did not get a response back until 25 July and then I had responded back to them the same day and then I did not get another email until July 29 of 2019.
I went ahead and I made the phone call and I spoke to a representative by the name of May. She was a female. It was very hard to speak with her because her English was not the best and she consistently kept speaking in what sounded like Chinese to somebody else on the other end. I explain the situation to her and she did see that the gift card was used towards the merchandise and then I had asked her about the Kohl's cash. She asked me 17 different questions about my email address asking me to please check my spam folder to check my promotion folder because she said it was in the folder. It was already sent out. Keeping me on the phone for over 40 minutes and telling me that I would receive another email to get my $30 of the cash from Kohl’s. Well that didn’t happen.
After I had told her that I had to get off the phone because I had a doctor's appointment and I had my ride coming for me at 1:30 PM I had made the call approximately about 12:30 PM on July 29, 2019 Eastern standard time and I didn’t get off the phone with her until 1:25 PM and I was extremely furious at that point because she kept me on the phone for nearly an hour. She had said she going to send me an email and said, "Don’t worry. It’s going to be sent out to you, you’ll get it in a few minutes." Well that never happened. The next time I make an order and I said to her what’s the confirmation number and she I have to call them directly, they would give me the Kohl’s cash PIN number and there is no confirmation number that I would receive from them. They just have a notes in their system.
I was furious, I flipped out on her because after she turned around and told me repeatedly I was getting the email and she made me go look through every single folder that I have through email. She completely went back on her word. Kept putting me on hold I told her I had to go I have a doctors appointment and at 1:23 PM she says to me oh do you want to make your order now and I said to her, "Have you not been listening to me? I’ve been telling you for the last 20 minutes I have a doctor's appointment and you’ve been keeping me on the phone for over 30 minutes." Now it’s become over 40 minutes and she kept putting me on hold, talking to somebody in Chinese, not even basically putting the call on hold listening to everybody else’s phone call conversation in the background. Very unprofessional I have to say.
Other representatives verifying customers' Social Security numbers. You could hear them repeating back to your last digits of their account. I felt like who am I calling. Where am I calling? They hardly speak any English. Press one for English and you get somebody who is Korean. This person should not be in customer service because she does not understand what the meaning means. When you say something to a customer, you have to comply of what you said to them in the first place. Or else don’t say it at all. I worked in sales for over 29 years. Car sales to be exact and we never ever made promises to customers that we could not deliver. We would never say, "Watch your email. You’re going to get this." Customers come first. Without customers you have no sales. Keep jerking a customer around for over 40 minutes is unacceptable. And I have to tell you I’m very disappointed.
I make my payments every month on time I paid over the minimum due every month on time and I felt like I was being jerked around because I made an order on July 21, 2019 and it did not show up in the computer system until July 22. You're on Central time. I’m in Eastern time. Just because your computer system crashed or had issues does not mean that I have to lose $30 of money that is entitled to me because that’s the only time I shop on the website is when there are promotions because I’m not a millionaire, I’m 80 years old. I’m retired. Completely Frustrated.

SO I moved to the confirm where it changed one item to a pick up at a store over 200 miles away! I called customer service after searching a bit for the number and was told they couldn't make any changes since it had already been sent to shipping. How? When I literally just paid ok fine the money will be returned seven days after I don't pick it up.
Next I happen to be looking at my bank account, and I was charged 3 times! After trying customer service and then going to the store and having the manager call (who was VERY helpful) it comes down to; if your shipment comes in 2, 3, or 4 different shipments that's how many times you are charged! This is only a temporary hold but still that money is not usable until they release it. Can you believe that so had I not had the money to cover it there would of been bills bouncing all over! I am happy with my items, but NOT with the online experience. Charge me once and allow me to make changed when the COMPUTER changes it on its own. I will definitely think twice before placing an online order.

I explained to the store manager that I never would have arranged the gift card from a rewards program at my office if I had known that was how they did it, and asked her to just process as if I was returning everything then recharge me for what I didn't return but she refused. And one other shirt for 17.99 not on sale. Total 67.99. I go to return the Bra, which shows I paid 42.00 but the return amount was 36.21.
I look at my receipt and ask to speak to a manager. A gal that appeared to be just out of High School comes up and in a very condescending tone, says, "Yes, that is how the buy one works." I was like, I ONLY BOUGHT ONE BRA. If you look at my receipt the refund total for the Tek shirt was $13.79?? HUH, so if I had only returned the shirt, they would have given me more than I paid? I ended up getting my 50.00 refund and paying full price for the 16.00 Tek shirt. What kind of a scam is this? I was told it is a one for one. I was not able to buy any additional lingerie and get that at 50% off, in fact IT rang up at full price. I am done with KOHL'S and their "sales."
Also turns out the manager was actually the "store manager" SNOTTY SNOTTY not friendly not accomodating and this is NOT how they advertise these sales. ALL THE BRANDS are listed. All the BRAS, ALL THE TEK wear, it didn't say that ANY ITEM YOU BUY THAT IS IN THE BUY ONE 50% off sale would be included. Truly a false lead in my opinion.

I placed an online order and realized I had never entered a shipping address. No big deal, I was able to call right away and figured they could cancel the order or correct the address. I spoke to the customer service agent 5 minutes after my order was placed. He informed me that it was already sent to processing and that nothing could be done. He told me I should contact the person at the house or go to the address to pick it up. I explained that I could not do this as I live in another state and do not know the people at the home. I requested a supervisor and they told me the same thing. I hung up very frustrated. I called back a few minutes later and spoke to someone else.
She apologized for the other agents response to me. She told me that she fixed the shipping address. I was then contacted by email explaining that they weren't able to cancel my full order but that they were able to cancel the $200 car seat I ordered. The next day I received an email saying the car seat had been shipped. This means that over $200 of merchandise is going to an address I'm unable to receive items at. I continued to email back to customer service and they blamed me for the error saying I entered the incorrect address and that I needed to call them sooner. It was an address that was a default one in my account as I used to live there and I realized right away that I had never entered the address I wanted to send it to. I literally called them the moment I placed the order, so 25 seconds after it was placed, I was dialing the customer service number.
So beware, once you submit the order, they are physically incapable of changing the address and you will be responsible for trying to get a hold of your stuff or hoping the person at the address is kind and honest and refuses the shipment. Otherwise, you will be paying money for something that you will never receive. I guess they are ok with basically stealing from you since their system is incapable of fixing an error even when immediately contacted. Don't give them your online business. I'll stick to Amazon which makes it easy to cancel an order right away. That $200 I'm paying for nothing will stick with me.

I do not receive a monthly statement and have had a prior conversation about it with them previously to clear up the matter and have the late fee waived only for it to happen again without notice or resolution from the previous conversation.
The last rep I spoke to me actually told me it was a known bank bill pay issue that happens all the time. Both times, my items arrived days later then the date stated they would arrive. When I received my card in the mail and after activating the card, I went to a Kohl's store itself to shop the huge 2 day sale. While cashing out, I swapped my card, my rewards info popped up but the cashier said, "Huh. Not sure why it's saying I need to contact the 800 number." She cleared it and tried it again, same thing. I told her I previously ordered 2 different times online with my charge account. She said I should do it online then because the sale was 1 more and it was too late to call the number. Frustrated I left empty handed (plus if I used my charge account I would have extra discounts I wanted for my purchases which she couldn't do for me if I didn't use my card).
I tried to order for store pickup online the next day, when getting to the submit your payment, it stated my Kohl's charge card had failed, I was nowhere near my due date, I still had credit to use (under the value of my items), I called the 800 number but they couldn't tell me why it wasn't working for me, so I'm left with a shrug and a big, "Oh well." Thanks Kohl's, no wonder you approved me, to make money off of people who qualify for a card. Basically my card is useless.
I did go back online and hit register a new card for the 2nd time, entering my card info, it said, "Thank you for activating your new Kohl's charge card" and I decided a 2nd email saying, "Thanks for re-registering your card account..." I even did it a 3rd time thing. Maybe that might've been a reason it wasn't working. Told me again, "Thanks for re-registering your card." What atrocious customer service, next Kohl's will be starting self checkout. I am more than happy to shop somewhere else. Kohl's needs to realize that great customer service is for repeat purchase not for profit.

I would also get emails stating my payment was due. They would even call on Sundays. Needless to say I would not encourage anyone to get a Kohl's card. I have been a loyal customer but when my card is paid off I will cancel this card, because if they treat you like this and you are not even a month behind just a few days I don't need this type of harassment.

Returned & ordered online a second time in the needed size to give Kohl's a second chance - UNFORTUNATELY they repeated themselves! Again, Kohl's shipped me a substituted larger size. Since when is Kohl's allowed to substitute? I didn't agree to that! I may stop ordering online all together - which is problematic, because my guys are all 6'4" & need lengths the store doesn't even carry!

I was informed they were a collection agency so I asked to speak to Kohl's directly. Same story. They offered to waive the late fee only but my payment is still $75 due instead of the normal $27. We used his card so he had to verify, which was fine, but after he already verified twice he had to go to work and for whatever ridiculous reason they needed a third verification (the representative was clearly not paying attention/doing her job correctly) but whatever, we put it under my card and my name instead.
She gets my email wrong, doesn't send me my order number and so I call. Well apparently because I don't have the order number that was never sent to me, or the bogus email she typed in, I can't access my order and I don't even know if it shipped to me or not. Talked to a manager who HUNG UP ON ME WHILE I WAS TALKING with some crap response like, "Yeah, sorry about that".

This was too difficult a concept for the customer service representatives or supervisor to handle. This is ridiculous, if your programs are making it too complicated for even your associates to explain then maybe it is time to rethink your business model. Ended up telling them to cancel my charge card and they made no effort to keep the customer, over 3.96.... While I was checking the reviews, I found that even though Kohl's said the MSRP was $399 and they had it on sale for $349, that was a complete fabrication! Swagtron LIsts the MSRP for $350 and they had it on sale for $249! KOHL'S was charging 10 dollars more for their "sale" price. In addition Walmart, and several other stores were offering the 249 price. Over 30 minutes of struggling to but a P O box number only or after street address or on the second line to no avail, I had to settle for street address only, oh well UPS delivers to the house. WRONG Kohls has UPS hand it off to the post office to save on delivery charges. So no box number, back it goes. Comes in two orders, no refund until second shipment is back at Warehouse for 7 days. I didn't find this out through the online loop they put you in to try and find a question that pertains to your issue so they can give you the boilerplate answer.
When that didn't work, I tore through the site page by page looking for a contact number...NONE! No surprise why would they want to answer questions? Found their number in my checking account log, as to where my $$ were sent. I changed my shipping address to my new address and continued with my order. I later got an email saying part of my order shipped and I would have to wait for the rest. No problem. I kept looking for my shipment on the expected day. No box. Late that night I got an email saying it was delivered, only I hadn't received it. Checked the email again and noticed it was shipped to my old address at an apartment complex. I tried to contact customer service, but as expected, they were closed.
Drove over to the old address late at night to retrieve the box but it was already taken/stolen. Had to wait until the next morning to call, which I did. I was told they would have to investigate what happened with the package even though they confirmed it was shipped to the wrong address. I understand stores need to protect themselves from theft, but they confirmed it was shipped to the wrong address. They saw my billing address updated - likely so the purchase would go through - but they weren't concerned about making sure their software corrected my shipping address too even though that's where I changed it online. I was told all they could do was open an investigation and I would get a notification in 10 days regarding whether or not they would honor either a credit to my account or ship another package. To where? Who knows? When? By then I'll be on vacation!
So I have to wait until I come back from vacation to fight for my credit or clothes that I needed before vacation?! I will never order with Kohls.com again, especially after I see all the similar complaints here. The Kohl's Cash comes off the amount BEFORE any discounts. I earned $60.00 in KC. I made one more purchase just to use it up before it expired. My purchase amount came to $112.00 after the 30% discount, free shipping coupon code and a $10.00 off for purchasing "Home" products. I then applied the $60.00 Kohl's cash I had earned. Wake up, stop giving your money if they don’t respect you. I ordered online during December 2019 and felt satisfied with my purchase until I washed the towels I’d purchased. I washed them alone as I know the towel has to shed when first purchased. After the wash I was horrified at the amount of lint that remained in my washer after the wash. Immediately after one wash the towels looked old. I let it go because with online ordering there is a gamble. You won’t like something. Then I forgot I opened the account and tried to make a payment and it’s been a nightmare. How can it be difficult to make a payment... That’s the one thing they want is your money and they can’t even get that right. I’m done... I’ll pay my balance of $13 and I’ll never use the card again.
It’s sad that we can’t just be happy without jumping through 100 hoops. We’d rather let them off the hook to avoid a mess. They don’t care so neither should we. You wouldn’t continue to patron a restaurant if you were mistreated so why is it different with retailers. Plenty of other retailers just stop shopping with them. For the people who love Kohl’s...great. That’s business... Some like you and some don’t. For me this is my one and only time dealing with them. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Gee, thanks - that means it will only take a ton of effort on my part and almost a month to get my product. Their support is in Asia and I couldn't understand the first rep. Thanks Kohl's - I can see why you had to take in Amazon returns to increase foot traffic in your stores. If I have an Amazon issue, I actually talk with a person and they resolve my issue. Your customer service is so bad, you are not worth the trouble.

I went 35 miles to turn back with the item, will be letting family know NEVER to get me anything from Kohl's. I have a strong feeling they will become the next Sears, or Kmart going out of business soon.

After logging in to my Kohl's charge account, it takes 3 deliberate clicks and entering bank account information before selecting the big green "I AGREE" button to sign up for AutoPay. Then, presumably, you would get an email that thanks you for signing up for AutoPay. Yet I have never received such an email, and Kohl's claims that I must have accidentally signed up for this after 5 years of making manual payments. For the past two months, Kohl's has DOUBLE charged me. I make my payment, and then they still AutoDraft my bank for the exact same payment. When speaking to customer service, they claim that if I make only the minimum payment due, that they will still AutoDraft me.
So just using simple math, if my bill is $50, and I log in and pay $50, then they claim they will STILL draft me another $50. Never mind the fact that once the payment is made, that the amount due is now $0, but they claim that our Terms and Conditions tell us they will still draft a payment. It hasn't happened in 5 years, but now it is happening. Not satisfied with this insane answer, I asked for this to be elevated. I got a phone call from a woman claiming to be in the president's office, and that she was the final say for Kohl's. She claims that I must have accidentally clicked into the AutoPay menu, selected to enable it, entered my bank account information, and then clicked the big green "I AGREE" button without realizing it. That is her response to me.
Not that there could have possibly been an error or glitch somewhere, because computers are infallible, but that I unknowingly did this to myself after more than 5 years of routine payments the same way each and every time. So let's assume I did blindly hammer away at my keyboard and come up with my exact bank account information and hit agree. If I make the minimum payment due, leaving $0 - ZERO - due, then wouldn't the AutoPay amount be....ZERO???? Logically, the system should recognize that a payment has been made, and cancel out the AutoPay, but nope. Not Kohl's.
So then wouldn't they recognize that $0 is due? Nope. Not Kohl's. Do they accept any fault or responsibility that their system, after 5 years of never having an issue, could have screwed something up? Nope, not Kohl's. The customer is NOT right for Kohl's. I logged in and cancelled this AutoPay that I apparently accidentally signed up for, and I immediately got an email confirming the cancellation. But still no email of ever having signed up. Surely they would have proof of me signing up and receiving an email confirmation. But nope. I do, however, have emails from December, Jan, and Feb that thank me for my ONE TIME payments, and having no mention of AutoPay or scheduled payments. I want customer care. I want customer service.

My mom bought me a beautiful necklace from Kohl's for Christmas. It is normally $150, but like Kohl's does, my mom got it for a huge discount, for about $60. Well, the first day I wore it, the clasp must have broke, and it fell off and got lost sometime during the day. I emailed Kohl's to ask for help and they offered me a 10% discount, and after I kept emailing they finally ended on offering 30% off to replace the necklace. I know the necklace goes on sale frequently for 60-70% off, and it was a simple fix for them to offer me the necklace for a higher percent off to simply match the price my mom got. Kohl's had given me a faulty necklace, after all! I am so disappointed by the terrible guest care - this is not how Kohl's used to be. Kohl's did NOT go above and beyond to fix a mistake for a faulty product, nor did they even meet a minimum expectation! Terrible service.

I have previously selected the option to request a call back. Five times. No call back. I have been told to expect an email from a supervisor after I requested to escalate the complaint. Very disappointed. I ordered shoes from kohls.com that I need by this weekend. I received the order yesterday. One shoe was a 7.5 wide and the other was a 7.5 medium. I ordered 7.5 medium, there are none in stock in store near me or I would have just done that in the first place. I called in to “Customer Service”. No one could help me without charging my card for a 2nd time and then sending me another pair.
I was supposed to be “sent to a supervisor” TWICE on TWO DIFFERENT calls. Both people that “sent me to a supervisor” sent me directly to a voicemail even after the 2nd lady said she promised she’s going to send me to a real person. I called back a 3rd time, infuriated by this time. He told me I could return them to a store then call back and order them through the phone with a reference number and get free 1 DAY SHIPPING. When I called back the lady was extremely rude and told me that they would not be here for 5 days. Even with one day shipping. Very disappointed and I will never be ordering from them again.

Customer Service woman said she would credit me, but I would have to re-order it online at the current price. I purchased it on sale for $99, but the price was back to $149. On January 21 2019, I made an online order with Kohl's based on an newspaper advertisement I received the day before. I purchased a vacuum for 199$ (regular 299$), and Ninja for 89$ (reg 139$) and 2 pairs of thermal base layer long johns (15$ and 12$). I used the coupon code provided on the front of their webpage (NEWYEAR) and received an additional 20% off totaling $267.98 and was to receive 50$ Kohl's cash. The payment for 267.98$ was withdrawn from my account.
Within an hour of purchasing Kohl's cancelled my order and sent me an email stating: "Hi, Amanda. We couldn't complete order #**, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact us to figure out the next steps toll-free at 1-888-890-1755. You have not been charged for this order. If you used Gift Cards or Kohl's Cash on this order, the amount will be refunded within the next 2 days. Since you have not been charged, no Kohl's Cash has been accrued."
I called the number twice and spoke with two separate individuals. They said they could not tell me why my order was cancelled, but that I was welcome to shop in store. Since Kohl's cancelled the order, they should at least be able to inform the patron as to why or offer to fix it, or some sort of compensation. I pointed out that the coupon would no longer be valid (it expired that day) and I was told again that I was welcome to shop in store. I was informed that the money would be returned to my account within 48 hours. They were okay with taking my money but refused to send my purchase at that point. Although they were nice enough to "invite me to shop in their store", I will not be doing that.

We went into the store to exchange a pair of jeans which were the wrong size. They had been purchased for my son and didn’t fit him. We were told we could exchange them, but they had to be: The same brand [as in Levi’s, Lee, etc]. The same type of clothing (pants). AND THE EXACT SAME PRICE AS ON THE ORIGINAL ITEM’S TAG.
Of course there were no jeans or pants by that brand FOR THAT SAME PRICE. There were pants that were $8 cheaper or $4 or more, but we couldn’t get those because we were told it was “against policy to exchange anything for a different price, even if it meant Kohl’s would come out ahead.” So we could not exchange a $40 pair of jeans for a $32 pair because that was “against Kohl’s policy.” We would have taken a loss of $8. Instead, We left with a useless pair of $40 jeans, and Kohl’s lost our business for good. Kohl’s would have come out ahead. Now Kohl’s is taking a substantial loss of income/business from us and potentially anyone who asks if we recommend shopping there. The answer will now always!! Be a resounding NO.

I purchased a mixer on Kohls.com in October while they were on sale. I had a percentage off coupon and also used Kohl's cash that I had. When I received the mixer I didn't like the color so I contacted customer service to see how I could exchange it. They looked for the color I wanted in stores and it wasn't available so I was told to return the mixer to the store and purchase again online at the now higher price. They would then refund me the difference. I was promised this wouldn't be an issue, it would be simple and fast. 3 months, 5 chat conversations later and hours of my time they still have not refunded me the full amount of the difference.
As of this morning less than half of the promised amount posted to my bank account. I was told this was because of the Kohl's cash. The last supervisor I dealt with wouldn't read the previous chat conversations thoroughly and accused me of using the Kohl's cash. It very clearly states in the conversation that the representative was going to manually adjust my Kohl's cash (take it away) so that it could be an even exchange and I would be receiving my refund of $135 in 7-10 days.
One month later I hadn't yet received it so I contacted them again. I was told it should post to my account within 2 days. One month later I still hadn't received it. The supervisor then said he would only refund me half of the amount because I couldn't give him the Kohl's cash numbers that I should have earned from the purchase. The Kohl's cash that was taken away! I want my money back that I was promised from 3 different employees, they should at least honor their word after wasting hours of my time. Also what's the point of reference numbers if they don't even read the conversations and make me rehash everything again over and over asking the same questions.

From returning without a receipt to receiving a corporate refund the whole overall experience stinks!! Rude! On 11/30/18 I went into the Santa Maria Kohl's to do an exchange. I didn’t have a receipt so I used my California ID. The return amount was 302.36 and the girl said to me, "Thanks. Have a good night”. I was like, "Wait. Where’s my store credit?" She said, "Oh it does this randomly where it just mails you a check from corporate office." I'm so confused at this point because this girl is nice, she just doesn’t know anything. So I leave the return desk feeling ripped off, angry and betrayed. I see my sister in law as I see here a man in plain clothes asks us to stop so we did. He yells, "Hey you. STOP. YOU STOLE THAT VACUUM. I'M CALLING THE COPS!!" Man I was so embarrassed. He said this in front of everyone. I mean everyone.
I asked him what he meant and he said he seen my sister walk in without a Dyson Vacuum and when he looked up again she was returning one at the return desk. I yelled at him, "SIR YOU'RE CRAZY. WE WALKED IN WITH BOTH THESE ITEMS. WATCH THE TAPE." He insisted he did watch the tape and can we come with him to his office. I said, "Sure." I said, "Call the cops. We did nothing wrong." He said he will and I called him a name or two so he asked me to leave so I did. Anyways he ended up rewinding the tape and seeing in fact we did walk in with the Vacuum. That man embarrassed me in front of the entire store. I was so embarrassed. I’m a taxpayer and a law abiding citizen.
My Uncle needed those suits for the year anniversary of the Montecito fires. He was a guest at the ringing of the bell and thanks to Kohl's I’m out 302.36 because not only did they make me wait indefinitely for a corporate refund I never received and when I talked to Jim at corporate he was extremely rude. See I live in California Silo. If I wake up at 9 am and call the corporate refund office it’s ALWAYS CLOSED. 9 am California time so this particular day I had to wake up at 5 am to call And when I finally get through 2 1/2 hours later I’m tired and irritated and this Jim is completely rude accusing me in a passive way of stealing my own mail.
I'm flabbergasted. I really am. I’ve never had to deal with so many idiots in one company. What happened to the customer and what makes us happy. They can look up My ID card. I’ve never once returned anything ever to Kohl's without a receipt. This was my first time. I had to file with the BBC BECAUSE I’m not letting these people push me around!! I want my refund. I want it as soon as possible.

I made an order on Kohl's online store and it was the worst experience I have ever had with a company before. I order an Oshkosh Puffer Jacket as a gift for my niece's Birthday, a hoodie, a pair of sweatpants, and a pair of tights. My order total was $61.04 and all items were on sale, thought it was a great little deal. Order is confirmed and I get an email with the details, all is well. Then the next night I get an email saying "We couldn't complete order **, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
So naturally that night after seeing the email I check my bank to see if I was charged and I was. So I wait until the next morning for their call center to be open and make the call. The woman that helped me told me that they just needed to verify my identity and that she needed my birth date, email, and the last four digits on my card, which I promptly gave. She proceeded to tell me that the name logged with my phone did not match my name and she could not verify even though if you look at the caller id I was using the phone in question for this call.
Here is the kicker, she told me that I was credited back my money (with a quick check I could see that I had indeed been given my money back since the previous night) and I would have to place my order again, and that it should be no problem because all of the items are still in stock. I kept asking her why they cancelled in the first place and she said it was just part of a procedure... but that is not really an explanation. This woman basically just politely ran me in circles. A company should have a clear and concise answer for why they have cancelled a customer's order, if it is just "part of a procedure" then explain to me what that procedure is. Still waiting on a callback from a supervisor, although I doubt they will call.
I liken this experience to going into a store and taking my time carefully selecting my purchase. Going to the counter where they ring me up with no problem, then instead of bagging my purchase the clerk says "Oh my goodness it is cancelled!" and then places it back on the shelves only to return to the counter and tell me that I can go and grab the items again and try to repurchase. Needless to say I simply found the same Oshkosh jacket on Amazon for $10 more and I think it was worth to pay the extra and actually receive my item.

Not only did I find my experience at the local Forest Hill, MD store poor, but I learned when dealing with the corporate leadership Michelle Gass and Sona Chawla that incompetence and inconsideration is a corporate wide culture. Those I contacted directly would not reply and those who I did speak to that stated they would contact me back failed to fulfill their word. My issue was not properly resolved. My wife and I contacted the store first as we had a baby seat purchased for us that was the wrong model. Due to the age and location of the relative who purchased it, we were unable to secure a receipt. We called in advance specifically to ask if we would receive a store credit or a check refund without a receipt and were told a corporate check refund for the lowest amount the model was ever sold for. This was confirmed by Mary when we entered the store.
As it turns out, Kohl's only provides store credit. I am fine with the policy, and am not fine with being told something not in line with that policy. As a result we relinquished the car seat the store (unopened/factory sealed box) which they have since returned to their warehouse, however, we have received nothing of a refund of any sort. I've talked to Shelley at their corporate office and she constantly interrupts while you speak. 2 emails to their corporate executives and no reply of any sort. The store credit is a waste for us as it puts us out $250 we'll need to pay out of pocket to replace. In a day and age when most companies are willing to work with you when they see their associates are in error, Kohl's will throw you to the cold at your financial negative.

I called the customer service Department and explained what was going on. The reps response was “be patient”. I told her I was more than patient as I had already waited 3 weeks. She continued to tell me that the package was scheduled to be delivered the next day. When I tried to explain to her that the shipping info changed every day, she told me “STOP BEING SO NEGATIVE”. Needless to say I was livid! I wasn’t negative I just wanted my package. I asked to speak to a supervisor who was also no help!
After hanging up with them, I received several emails from different people asking me once again to be patient but at no point and time did any of them try to accommodate me or offer compensation. When I asked if they could ship another item and if the original one arrived I would return it, they said No! I never dealt with a company that had such poor customer service! I’m in shock that such a huge company operates this way. Needless to say, they have lost a customer. BTW month later I still haven’t received my package.

Absolute worst online ordering company to deal with. I placed an order online on "Black Friday." Item was in-stock and shipped to me. I made multiple Christmas purchases this day from Kohl's, lots of money was spent. What a surprise I had when the Nintendo Switch Bundle I ordered was not in the box, it was a $25 remote controlled car, with the packing slip for the Nintendo - How are they even alike??? I called Kohl's, I was told to return it to the store to receive my credit. I ran down there to stand in line for 40 mins. Returned the item less the Kohl's I had earned and used from its original purchase. The item was not available in the store so I again had to call customer service to place the order for the item. The only one available was a Nintendo Switch nonbundle at a higher price.
I was getting less and paying more than my original purchase. The representative said she would place the order and open a case for me to get the difference back. WHAT A JOKE!! I have over 20 emails asking me to re-state my case and telling me they "can't" because it wasn't the same item. I would happily take the "same item" but they don't have it in stock. This is the 3rd time I've been sent the completely wrong item and had to waste my time on the phone and returning it to the store. This time I'm out a bit of money and at Christmas. They have lost a long time customer.

I ordered gifts a week ago, the day they were to arrive I get an email that they were out of stock so cancelled my order! I called, first person was in Asia, I asked to be transferred to US they sent me to the Philippines. Those people cannot understand anything! I did talk on chat and saved it to show people how stupid they are and how they lie to the customers. I ask for corporate and all they give me is the customer service # that I have already called! They say they don't have any corp info. LIE! I will never order on the site again because I cannot trust I will get it.

Ordered 2 games on sale during Thanksgiving for a gift. I received one and not the other. Called customer service, the girl couldn't speak English and hung up after saying she had to go. Called back after waiting online for about 30 minutes and finally talked to a man who said he would re-ship the missing item and I should expect it in 7-10 days. After 10 days I had to call back (another 1/2 hour) and discovered the man had refunded my purchase. I asked for the item I wanted. The agent told me she could re-order it for me but not at the same sale price, but they could issue a refund for the difference. I said okay. They shipped the wrong version of the item and I still have not received the refunded difference in price. They don't have a handle on their online orders or customer service. Never again.

Just spoke to a real witch named Shelly ** from Kohl's corporate offices. She was nasty, smug, and condescending. Frequently spoke over me and chastised me for not checking to see if the jewelry they sold me was missing a back. I returned the earrings and they deducted the $10 Kohl's cash. Fair enough. Not looking for a handout. Refused to refund the tax however and shorted my refund (less than $1). When I told her that they should have returned the taxes good old Shelly told me that I FEEL I've been shorted but I haven't.
No, Shelly, I can count. I also know that any taxes paid on returned merchandise must be returned to the customer. You don't get to keep it. Tried telling me how Kohl's is "thriving." Only because of old people who think they're getting a great deal with the Kohl's cash scam they run. Don't shop there. If you do, throw that Kohl's cash in the trash. It is just an inducement to get you to spend more money on their trashy, subpar merchandise. You get the same quality merchandise, and a lot of times better, out of Walmart. Buyer beware.
