I will never buy for Kay Jewelers anymore. I bought a ring on Thanksgiving and try to cancel it the day I buy it. Then I chat with them the next day online. They will not cancel order. They transfer me to 5 people and will not cancel it. It's the worst customer service. I also called and told me the same thing. I will tell my friends not to buy from them too.

I cannot speak for everyone; however, this is a true and accurate review as to how I was treated in this particular store. I received terrible customer service/care at the Canton, Georgia2 location,1810 Cumming Hwy. Ste. 730. The unacceptable behavior was definitely from the store manager **! I reported this immediately to Kay’s Corporate office as well as Better Business Bureau. I do not plan to ever shop there or attempt to get my ring serviced there. I was met with terrible incompetent customer care and service even though the store manager acknowledged that it was the fault of her employee, I was treated as if I did something wrong rather than receive an apology. You may not be differently but this is an honest and accurate statement of the treatment I received from the store manager.

Simply love the ladies that work here. They are always so nice. Took my engagement ring to them and they fixed it perfectly. As a couple we bought our wedding bands from them and have been very content with them. I will not deal with any other jeweler. I wish Kay Jewelers a very long and successful time.

She helped me over the phone find my wife the perfect ring for her birthday!! I didn't stress over anything at all. Ashley made everything so smooth! I was amazed how she worked with sent me pics of rings and helped me according to my budget! I was so happy I told all my brothers and my sons lets get together and go to Kay Jewelers in Sanford NC! Ashley I hope you are there when I bring the crew with me! I promise I'll never shop at another jewelry store ever again!! I'm so happy with what I got and how I was treated!! Thank you Kay Jewelers and most thank you to Ashley ** for her incredible help of me making my dreams come true for my wife!!!! GIVE THAT WOMAN A RAISE FOR REAL!!!

I brought my engagement ring into kay to get size. They cracked it. I dealt with it. It's my wedding ring. I brought it back because the sizing wasn't right. The hair line fracture from the first size didn't bother me too much cause you couldn't see it from the naked eye. I brought it back to get resized. The sizing was not correct. The first time the jeweler took the Emerald out of the setting and it crumbled. He put it back in and gave me back the ring. Do not go to Here for anything. I've been a customer for 25 years. The associate told me to go across the street to The Other jewelry store nasa.. There is no customer service here. I'm not a professional jeweler, but I can tell you I would not remove an emerald, knowing I would crumble it and then give it back to the customer destroyed doesn't make much sense, do not go here and do not trust them with your jewelry. The phone picture can't zoom into the crumbled emerald.

Great ONLY IF you buy the lifetime insurance. I have both a custom engagement ring (very expensive) and a lightweight paperclip necklace from them (very cheap). I got the lifetime insurance on the ring that has covered the numerous times the stones have gotten loose and I have to keep getting the prongs tightened - I've paid $0 in repairs and they do it within 2 days usually - can also get this done at Jared's or any Kay's in the world. They did however lose the record of my ring in the system and it was quite a hassle to fix.

It's fine now and have never had an issue with the repairs. HOWEVER, for the cheapest paperclip necklace in the world I purchased there, within a year the chain broke and within 2 years the clasp broke - in total was quoted the same cost of the necklace to fix these because I did not purchase the insurance. In summary, Kays is shit quality but they stand by their lifetime insurance on their shitty products, so go for it but buy the insurance!

Talkative and totally embarrassing to the Jey corporate. His name A.J. and he pretend to be a manager which is not true. Bad practice to Key and reputation.

My husband purchased a diamond ring for me from KAY Jewelers in Fairfield, CA. The diamond fell off less than a year after the purchase date. We returned to the store and spoke to the salesperson who sold my husband the ring. She honored the mounting guarantee because the diamond fell off before twelve months of purchase. However, she had attitude and insinuated that I damaged the mount and that is why the diamond fell off. I did not appreciate her attitude or her comments. And I did not damage the mount. Buyer beware. Do not waste your money on KAY. Find another place with quality goods and services. I wish my husband had gone elsewhere. Although KAY will replace the diamond, I fear it will fall off, again. I have other diamond rings that are over 30 years old, and the diamonds have not fallen off. Do I need to say more?

The quality of the jewelry I have purchased over the past couple couple have but been good. They bag right away, and once lost they don't replace. Just got a bracelet for my bday in May 2025, the clasp stopped holding, thank God I took it to the store right away, got a chain on it, and it came a loose today and the chain held it, I bought my sister a bracelet Dec of 2024, it after 2 months, couldn't take it back because are looked up and it was of her wrist, my daughter got a bracelet for Christmas of 2024, by March of 2025 if snapped in half.

Just bought my daughter a necklace in May 2025 for graduation, it broke my July. I had diamond hoop earrings I had them returned to service because no matter how many times they fixed it, it would stay clicked together in 1 earrings, it would just fall out my ear, so I had to pay more money for other earrings because they don't make moves anymore. The latest and greatest of today and I am LIVID. I paid for locality backs or however you spell it to stop losing my princess cut diamond earrings. You have to squeeze, the backs together on both sides to get the earring off. I look up and my earring is GONE, just 1 earring.... I find the back in my room on the floor but no earring. There is NO REASON MY BACK FELL OFF. So now my earring is gone $800 and Kay aren't going to replace them. I have all of my backs but only 3 earrings.

It’s covered under their “lifetime diamond warranty” but want to charge me $274 to put the diamond in. I’ve spent thousand with them and nobody seems to care if they lose my business or not. I guess I’m not surprised they have a 2.0 rating. Just a shame a company as big as they are is this bad. Never would have thought…. Looks like I’m gonna be shopping at the local jewelry store from now on. They will never get another penny from me again. I promise that! Pam said that could be done, but she would need to send the necklace somewhere to get that accomplished. She offered the alternative of a magnetic extension; went in the back room, installed the extension and problem solved. And surprisingly, no charge. Thank You, Pam!! You made my day.

My husband bought me a new wedding set and has since passed away. Up until that time, I faithfully had it checked every six months but upon his death, I did remove my ring and put it away. I wore for a short time on my widow's finger, but it didn’t seem right. I put the ring away and it was after it had been inspected. I didn’t take the ring back in because I wasn’t wearing it. I put it on in 2024 and the diamond fell out. I took it in but they told me because I hadn’t brought it in every six months, even though it was just lying in a box, my warranty was no good. I ended up paying about $800 to have the diamond replaced and I was too scared to wear it again because of the diamond falling out, I took it out a couple days ago and looked at it and thought how sad that it’s just lying in the box. I put it on my finger and today the diamond fell out again.

I hadn’t even worn the ring to me. This is just totally poor workmanship. I had the ring returned to me in 2025 and it’s now September 2025, but I’m positive they won’t cover it even though the ring has not been worn. Anyone planning to use Kay Jewelers had better be warned that that warranty is only as good as the paper it’s written on, as long as you do it every six months. They tell me my receipt's in the computer so I am going to take my ring in tomorrow and I pretty much know that they will not cover it. I would never recommend Kay Jewelers to anybody ever again and my late husband and I had bought many items from there. They may have been a good store in the past, but right now, I don’t really recommend anyone considering purchasing a high-value item from them.

It’s funny how I was too scared to wear the ring and I put it on and the diamond fell out. It pretty much told me that my first impression of their service was the correct one. I also discovered while looking at my past receipts for item that I had purchased before from Kay’s that every receipt is almost blank, you can just barely make out any type of writing, which tells me that they use disappearing ink on their receipts, which I don’t know about anyone else, but that’s highly illegal and very fraudulent. They say that they keep your receipt in the computer when you get ready to check out and they refuse to give you a written receipt. They did give you a receipt. At least at the store where I went to get my ring repaired, they refused to give me a receipt and stated that my receipt was in the computer. Should I need it later?

My fiancee purchased a white gold 2 1/2 carat diamond halo engagement ring and 1/2 caret wedding band with warranty. After we were married 6 months one of the outer halo diamonds fell out fell out and they did not cover it because you need to take your ring every 6 months for them to check it for faults and it had been 7 months. We paid to replace the outer stone. After about 2 years of bringing back my ring every 6 months for inspection I was talking to the manager and mentioned the time the stone falling out and she said "Oh, we didn't replace the diamond we just sent you a new ring".... WHAT??? They replaced my ring??? So this is NOT the ring I was married in?

I was very upset but what could I do. Since then I brought the ring back every 6 months for inspection. 3 years ago I was at the office and noticed the center stone missing. Thank goodness my coworker found it in the sink. Took it back and they put the center stone back in at no charge...not saying anything about be sorry it happened. This was about 3 years ago. Last week I noticed my center stone was missing and because it had been 8 months since I had brought it in they would not replace the diamond free of charge. I would need to buy the diamond there but the "workmanship" would be covered at no charge...WHY would I want to purchase a diamond from them and it fall out again? The manager for the store this time said, Well sometimes it is just faulty workmanship.....hugh??? If I brought my own diamond in it would void the warranty.

Long story short I had a diamond necklace from about 20 years ago and had a reputable local dealer set the diamond in my ring. However this voided the warranty and the rohidum platting warranty we had as well. My question.... what does the rhodium plating have to do with the better workmanship of the ring from local dealer I trust? Apparently this is a cheap chain store and that is how they make their money. Nope not with me anymore. My ring is more lovely as before but not because of Kay Jewelers--Buyer beware....DO NOT PURCHASE. This is a cheap chain store and as you can see in the reviews they are not reputable.

I have had jewelry from Kay’s for years. I received a diamond bracelet in 2008 and after 3 weeks a diamond fell out. I took the bracelet to the store which was in Eastdale Mall, and the lady that worked there told me that I could still buy the warranty since it was new. I purchased the warranty that day. Since 2008 I have had to replace several diamonds because the diamonds just continued to fall off. I have had to repair the clasp as well. I have always taken my jewelry for my inspection. Several times in years I had to tell the staff that I had purchased the warranty. They would tell me I didn’t have it.

More than once they "found" that I did have the warranty and they would add it to the computer so there wouldn’t be an issue. So I went for my inspection today. There are 2 diamonds missing in my bracelet. The sales lady says since I don’t have the warranty I would have to pay $400.00 something to repair it. Told them I had the warranty. They said there was nothing on my account saying so. I asked for them to look through my account to see where I had to have the bracelet repaired previously. No they have no record of any repairs!!!!

Since I have had so much trouble with them finding my warranty in the past I kept a receipt!!! Good thing. The Kay’s jewelry store has told me several times that since everything was in the computer I would not need to keep the receipt!!! Not true!! Once you have the warranty, your information disappears. KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS!!! Kay’s jewelry is not a good company. Once I get my bracelet repaired I will never purchase anything from Kay’s jewelry again.

For a company that states they “Value their Customers” sure shows the opposite. I had a gold chain “repaired” and within a month's time the link looked as though it disintegrated. As in literally melted. When I took it back to the store I purchase my jewelry from the “manager” stated oh that’s normal for gold. I then explained there’s no way that’s normal. I’ve had my chain for 2-3 years and no other link has done this.

I then took it to a pawn shop and before telling him what happened just simply asked him to take a look. The very first thing he said was “whoever repaired/put this link together did a horrible job”. And confirmed that this indeed was not normal. I went back to have my chain fixed and refunded my money and the manager stated I would need to contact customer service. It’s been almost 2 months now and I’m still arguing the point that I deserve to have my money refunded and some type of compensation for dealing with this whole mess. But much like the store customer service is also a joke. I would no longer support this business for jewelry. Better off going elsewhere.

My husband purchased me a necklace which had a small pearl. The pearl fell out. Looking at the receipt which said “LIFETIME” warranty. So I made my way to the Kay jewelers. The man looked at the necklace and my receipt and he said, "The necklace has not been serviced so if you like you can purchase another pearl to go in it." I said, "The receipt says lifetime warranty." He said, "That only applies if you bring it in every 6 months to be serviced."

I said, "Why don’t they tell you that at the time of purchase or on the receipt." Nowhere on receipt does it say that the warranty is null and void if you don’t come in every 6 months. So in other words the lifetime warranty, which is written on the receipt, is a lie and a trick to make you think you’ll be able to get it fixed if something happens to it. The clerk proceeded to tell me how cheap pearls are. I wanted to say but didn’t “then why did you charge my husband such a price when he purchased it?” It wasn’t cheap then. I love jewelry but will never buy from them again with their false advertisement. BEWARE!

I took my Gold Bulova watch back to Kay for a battery and crystal replacement. I was told I'd get it back in 4 weeks. It took 3 months and was told 2 months later that my watch was not repairable. So I agreed to receive a voucher to replace my watch and purchase another one. The voucher never came. I was continuously lied to and given the runaround, only to be notified that now my watch is suddenly ready for pickup. When I arrive to Kay jewelry in Fayetteville North Carolina Cross Creek Mall the clerk handed me my Gold Bulova watch and a bubble wrap Ziploc plastic bag. I could not believe you gave me my watch any plastic Ziploc bag as though it were a $4 cheap corner store watch. This space that I'm writing this complaint does not have enough space for me the write the entire story. But I will say that I am so very very disappointed in KAYS JEWELRY as well as their corporate office in terms of how they handle the situation.

I was promised a gift card for my inconvenience and that in itself has never prospered either. Why all the lies? Who's going to take responsibility? Is this how you treat your customers? What is so hard about giving a simple gift card to try to right a wrong.? I sincerely advise you to think four times before purchasing anything from Kay Jewelers especially the one in Fayetteville Cross Creek Mall. The manager there (Paul) is the worst. And there's no way you can contact the store because they do not answer their telephone.

If I knew then what I know now, I would have never stepped foot into Kay's jewelry at Cross Creek Mall Fayetteville North Carolina. Because of their unprofessional disposition in handling my situation, I'm compelled to tell everyone to stay away from Kay jewelry unless you want problems, lies and high blood pressure. I normally shop at Zales. I just so happened at this time zeal did not have a gold boulevard so I was forced to go to Kay's thinking I would be treated with respect and dignity. I will be going on every site that I can to report this disturbing treatment from Kay Jewelry until they make things right.

Stay Away — This Company is a Scam! I opened a Kay Jewelers Card and was lured in by their promotion of "no interest for 18 months." What they don’t tell you up front is that the interest is deferred, not waived — meaning if you don’t pay off the entire balance by the end of 18 months, they hit you with all of the accumulated interest from day one!

No one ever clearly explained this to me when I opened the account. To make matters worse, they conveniently enrolled me in paperless billing without my consent, so I never saw a physical statement that might have warned me about these terms. This feels like a deliberate trap to mislead customers. I strongly urge others to avoid this card and this company. There are far more honest financing options out there.

I have been a loyal Kay Jewelers customer since purchasing my bridal set and an additional band in 2015. Every six months, like clockwork, I bring my rings in for inspection to maintain the warranty and have them rhodium-plated annually. Today, I visited the Charlotte Premium Outlet location and was extremely disappointed by the treatment I received. Two sales associates insisted that only the bridal set and one band were originally purchased—essentially implying that I was trying to pass off an extra band that didn’t belong to me. This was not only incorrect but deeply insulting, especially considering my long-standing relationship with Kay and impeccable inspection record.

Thankfully, I called the Pineville location right afterward, and the associate there had no problem locating all three rings in their system—confirming what I’ve known all along. It’s incredibly frustrating to be treated with suspicion and disrespect when I’ve done everything by the book. I expected more professionalism and competence from Kay Jewelers. This experience has seriously shaken my trust in the brand.

We got a great deal on a beautiful ring with sapphires and even sprang for the extra warranties. We were never informed we'd need to bring the ring in every 6 months for inspection or that missing one would void our warranty. We had even brought it in a few time over the last couple years for cleanings and repairs and even a resizing because my fingers swelled when I became pregnant and not once were we asked when we would be bringing it in for inspection or even sent a reminder email, nothing. I was doing housework and noticed my center sapphire is gone, and the bracket/ facet whatever is cracked and bent! Every time we had to take it in to repair it was for that stone and now it's lost to the void.

Back in 2020 I bought a wedding band online from Kay Jewelers. I'm happy I chose to purchase a Life Time Warranty Protection plan. Over time I gradually lost so much weight, my wedding ring was so loose it kept falling off. I took it to Kay Jewelers in Salem NH to have it resized. The Sales representative who helped me was patient and had me try on different bands to ensure the right fit. The ring was sent out to be resized and in less than two weeks I got it back. To my surprise it was too small. Frustrated and confused we went through another refitting process. The ring was sent back to be enlarged.

After about two weeks, my ring was ready for pick-up. Astonished, I found the ring was still too small to put on. Upon seeing me more confused and frustrated than ever, two Sales representatives (Nadia and Jaymie) decided to help. Using a ring size gauge they showed me the ring was enlarged to the size requested. They suspected the warmer weather may have cause my finger to swell and to increase the ring another 1/4'' to take into consideration for my fingers. I'm astonished on how professional, patient and understanding I had with each Sales representative encounter I had. Especially, something as a small no sales warranty repair. In summary, Kay's Jewelers stands by their Lifetime Warranty Protection plan. Even for a non sales warranty repair, their Sales agents are willing to help their customers find the right fit for their ring.

Original Review: I have purchased a "white gold' ring that was dull after being beside my rings I had at home. It looks like a scratched up silver ring. After purchasing a diamond ring, that I liked but over priced; my bill was set up to pay within a year. I decided to just pay it all and I guess their mail wasn't received until the 4th of March instead of the 3rd of March. They charged me $30 late fee. ONE DAY LATE. I'm not their mailman for one and for being a person who has bought 3 pieces of jewelry; you would think they wouldn't be this greedy. I called and they can't take it off my account, hoping I pay. We’ve done business with Kay Jewelers since early 2000. My wife and I had spent thousands and thousands of dollars to them. We recently on February 14, 2025 had to bring her certified diamond earrings in for repair. Kay Jewelers not only broke one of the earrings, but broke the other one as well. Their resolution was to give us certified diamonds with less quality than our original pair and a $275 gift card. This was all done at the Amsterdam New York store. Their regional manager is a joke just like the staff there in Amsterdam. Also the lady at the corporate office could not come up with a resolution.

I came up with a fair number which wasn’t far from theirs. I wasn’t being unreasonable, but they couldn’t look at the longevity of the business that my wife and I have done with them and also look and understand that this was an anniversary gift to my wife 16 years ago, we decided to cancel our account and never do business with corporate jeweler again as they don’t care about their repeat customers. They’re only in for a quick sale and that’s about it.

It was a couple weeks before when I brought it in. They said they send their jewelry out to be repaired, I thought they did it in house. Red flags went up in my head. But I thought they must do this a lot and I let them do it anyway. They took my information and said they would be contacting me with an estimate. I never was contacted. So with Christmas quickly approaching I tried calling them, over and over. They won’t even answer the phone. I drive back to the store, waited to talk to them. They said that I should have gotten a call and they looked into it. They told me how much it would cost to get it fixed, and agreed to the price. They said that they would call me when it was done. I was never call or contacted in anyway. I made 5 more trips to see if the ring was ready.

Well Christmas had came and gone so did New Year’s, and our 26th anniversary no ring. Some how they lost it, and I was promised they will make one just like it. I’m still don’t have a ring, I have never been contacted at all. Well besides sales emails that they send to anyone. I got to drive up there again to only be disappointed with little or no information. I just wondering even if they make a new one. Will it be real or fake diamonds and gold. If I do get a ring from them. I will have it checked out by another company. But I might have to hire a lawyer to get things resolved in a court room. Kay Jewelers has a tendency to show photos of their jewelry online to be larger than it truly is. Enlargement to show details is understandable, but they also enlarge the jewelry in photos of a model wearing it. That's a very deceptive advertising practice, which can result in having many disappointed customers. Additionally, as long as Kay has been selling jewelry, you would think they would know how to securely package an item. For instance, I recently purchased a ruby ring online from Kay, and when it arrived the ring was tumbling around inside the box because no effort was made to secure it for shipping. Prior to that, I purchased a cross pendant and chain from Kay. When it arrived it looked like someone who filled the order just tossed it into the box with complete disregard for what it is. That's sickening. What's their slogan? "Every kiss begins with Kay." It's more like Every MISS begins with Kay.

I would recommend not purchasing from Kay Jewelers specifically if you are attempting to do so online. On 17th of December, we made a ring purchase for $2450. On 24th of December, Kay sent me an email canceling my order essentially saying that they didn’t know it wasn’t an inventory… It took this company seven days to figure out that they did not have something… Meanwhile, had they canceled the order in an appropriate timeframe (i.e. not seven days), I could’ve gone into my local case and purchased the same ring at 30% off….

Now, that same ring is full price ($3200 before lifetime warranty charge for an additional $400, plus tax which would bring the whole piece to approximately $3750) with no discount at my local case and Kay is refusing to work with me on comparable pricing and are basically saying it’s my tough luck that they either double sold the ring, lost it or they just plain don’t know what’s in their inventory (basically sorry not sorry…). I’ve talked with three different customer service reps; only one of them even acted like they cared (and she was lovely - her name was Miss Kathy **).

So whoever creates Kay’s marketing strategy, I would recommend firing because sending anybody an email on Christmas Eve telling them that Kay is canceling an order for a ring that a customer wanted for a long time and that was a very good deal, is asinine. Horrific customer service and a very large “we don’t give a damn” attitude. My husband and I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with this company over the years, and we will never buy another thing from them. Buyers beware. Go with another company.

I purchased a Military Service Ring for my husband (Vietnam Veteran). After wearing the ring for about 3 weeks the stone fell out. There was a sticky residue coming from where the stone had been glued in with something cheap. We took the ring back to the store in Hendersonville Tn. The sales person took the ring and assured us that the ring would be repaired. We got a text message about 10 days later “your ring is at the store and ready for pickup." When we stated why we were there and presented the receipt they asked us to sit and wait. About 10 minutes later we were asked if we could come back because they could not find the ring. We decided to wait at the store. We waited about 40 minutes while they waited on customers coming in and out.

Finally, Mike motioned for us to come forward and he had the ring. It had never been sent off to get repaired. He stuttered around telling us that they were having trouble trying to find someone to repair the ring. My husband stated that he wanted prong or a ring of gold to hold the stone in. Mike said he would continue to try to find someone to fix the ring. So we left disappointed and unsure if the ring can be repaired.

I went to the Manchester NH Kay location to pick up an item I had purchased online for a Christmas present. Upon walking in the store there was no greeting or acknowledgement that I was even there. I proceeded to head to the back of the store and waited by the register. There were two employees working. A male who was helping an elderly couple look for a gift and a women who was ringing a customer out. I stood at the register for 10-15 minutes and no one said anything. They continued to help customers they were with but could have excused themselves and say how can I help you or we will be right with you.

Jewelry sales is a long process just like car buying and if you already bought something online you should feel like you were a valued customer. The associates were so focused on their sales and now lost a customer who has been with Kay’s for a while. I asked the lady once she was done with her customer if I was in the right spot to just pick something up and she said I think these customers were before you. I told her I was just picking something up but would wait by the desk. The next customers were also browsing rings which takes a long time. I was just trying to pick one small item up.

This particular Kays needs better customer service and should value their customers especially the ones who made a purchase. They should not be so focused on making commission and ignoring guests that already purchased something. You should not have to wait 20 plus minutes to pick a online order up. A third employee looks like came back from break and helped me grab my item and she was pleasant. Would not recommend this location at all.

My fiancé bought my engagement ring online through Kay’s website. He selected to have it delivered to our local store to be picked up. Instead, it was delivered it to our home and left on our front porch. The experience only gets worse from here. He proposed about 60 days after the ring was delivered. Only then did we start to unravel the scam that Kay Jewelers is running. Kay sent a size 9 preowned ring valued at $500 rather than the $3500 size 7 engagement ring that my fiancée ordered. To add to this, the preowned ring came with a loose accent diamond. My fiancé didn’t originally realize that they sent the wrong ring. He took in the ring that Kay sent to have the accent diamond fixed. Kay stated that they didn’t understand what the issue was, but eventually agreed to fix it.

When he proposed, we realized that the ring was much too big. We took it back into the store and they charged us $80 to have the ring resized. The ring that they incorrectly sent us in the wrong size! This caused us to look at receipts and realize that they sent us a preowned ring in a very similar style. We have contacted Kay Jewelers regarding this major discrepancy. Kay Jewelers has refused to send us the correct ring. Kay is also refusing to refund us our money or make this right in any manner.

But when you call they will not help, they give generic responses and refuse to look into it, I asked for them to please look into it and take my money and send me the piece. Unfortunately with my other piercings the earrings are so large that if I were to get a second hole they won’t fit. I’m a busy person and didn’t realize that I wouldn’t be able to exchange them even though the tag is on it. So I was told that they have a good trade-in program. I came to my local store to trade them in. They have never been worn, but to trade in I have to buy something that is double the value of the earrings. I just want something smaller that will fit in a second hole.

To Trade them in I would have to get a piece of jewelry that is double the value of my trade-in. So that they still make money off of something I have never worn. So I would have to find smaller earrings for $1,800 dollars, and pay $899.99 out of pocket. Ridiculous. I just wanted a small pair of diamond earrings. They would be making money off of my earrings. No help or offered any other options. As a past retail manager I know that you can break “policy” for customers under the right circumstances. Since she wouldn’t make a “sale” off of me, she didn’t care to help me any further.

So a year later I noticed a scratch on the stone. We took it in and she said with it being a Ruby wasn't much they could do and it was main stone. So a few weeks ago I was helping husband clean out his dad's house. I lost the stone. So we took back to Kay and they were still referring to stone as Ruby. I even showed receipt. She quoted $500 for less expensive ruby or she would get a quote for Levian Ruby.

We decided to think about it. So we went to Jared and talked to a sweet older lady there who took my Kay receipt and pulled up my ring. To our surprise it wasn’t even a ruby it was garnet. To replace only $100. So twice I went to place (Kay) who sold to us and they didn't even know stone. And over quoted us. Jareds was way more professional, knowledgeable and has my trust. The store manager accused me of complaining too much to the associate manager concerning my ring that had a missing diamond. She suggested that I get rid of the ring or risk this happening again.

My ring has been repaired twice with the same unresolved issues, a missing diamond from the same area on the ring. The store manager seemed to care more about sale of another ring than my feelings resulting in no empathy or sympathy. I didn’t feel like a valued customer. The store manager constantly interrupted the sales associate as she tried to help. She proceeded by asking me inappropriate questions as she tried to rush me into buying another ring.

The core value and trust in which Kay Jewelry stands on was broken. This experience left me feeling pressured and rushed to exchange a ring that may have less value than my original ring. I was also asked to pay an additional $700 towards the new ring to honor the full exchange. This experience has left me very disappointed with the quality of the jewelry and the customer service at Kay Jewelry. I found it thankfully in the laundry. Get my ring back and it breaks again within a week.

This time I can't find the stone. They told me it would be back by January 2nd but I didn't get it back for over six weeks. Fast forward three weeks and guess what? It breaks again. Now they refuse to fix it or warranty the merchandise. The sales lady that sold us this ring told us that as long as I have it inspected once every six months it's 100% covered. This is a lie. Which in fact are screwing the hard working people over that buy from KAY. KAY is a joke. If this place went bankrupt it would be for the best. KAY, go screw yourself.

Hello. I'm visiting a friend in Kannapolis North Carolina. While my friend and I were shopping, I decided to stop in Kay's to purchase a birthstone bracelet to celebrate my upcoming birthday. Upon entering, no one acknowledged our presence. I'm a ** female and I noticed that there were no ** employees at this location. That's not an issue for me but since I wasn't greeted, I was trying to understand why no one even said hello to me. I'm a very outspoken person but my friend told me not to spend my money at an establishment where no one acknowledges my presence. We decided to visit the Kay's in Salisbury N.C. What a difference! When we entered, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. An associate named Cheryl approached me. She asked if she could help me with anything. I told her about my experience at the Afton Ridge store. She kept apologizing for the experience that I had endured.

I told her that she had nothing to apologize for because she wasn't responsible for the horrible customer service I was given. This woman went above and beyond to regain my confidence in shopping at Kay's. No one should have to be turned away because of the way they look, speak or dress. My feelings are beyond hurt. This needs to be addressed with your staff. Word of mouth travels. Disappointed is an understatement in describing how I feel. I was about to cut ties with this store permanently. I used my fiancé's credit card for my purchase and before I did, I had considered telling him to trash it. Thank you Cheryl for helping me with my purchase and reassuring me that customer service experiences can still be pleasurable.

Kay's would NOT size it. But I could buy another diamond and replace the cracked one for a mere $1,000. I could not believe this was happening. My husband purchased me a pendant ($1600) for Valentine’s Day, but was unable to present it to me at that time because I was out of the state. He waited and gave it to me for my birthday, which was a month later. For several reasons, I wanted to return the necklace, but, before I could do anything about the necklace, I needed surgery. As soon as possible, I walked into Kay Jewelers in Lagrange Georgia, on crutches, to make the return. I noticed that they had a 30 day return policy, but was hoping they would give me a break, considering I couldn’t get in sooner due to surgery. The store had just opened about 15 minutes earlier, but I was NOT greeted warmly when I entered the store by a young man, who abruptly asked what I wanted. I stated I had a return and handed him the boxed necklace with the receipt.

He looked at the return and the receipt and simply said “it’s over 30 days, you can’t return it”. I asked if he could do anything considering the circumstances and before I could say much else, he simply shut me down and said “No, we can’t take it back”. He had an attitude from the moment I walked in as if I interrupted him opening the store, and was rather abrupt in the way he spoke to me. I was on crutches with my foot in a boot and could tell this guy had no interest in helping me and decided there was no use talking to him further. As I reached over to take back the boxed necklace, which was open, it snapped shut as I took it from his hand.

He immediately snapped at me and said “Don’t you ever snatch anything from me like that again!" being shocked by his attitude and his rude comment, I asked him if Kay Jewelers knew they had an employee as rude as he and he quickly stated that he was the manager! I responded that’s even worse! As I started to leave the store, another person walked in stating they wanted to make a payment, this young man (who states he’s a manager), chuckled at me and pointed to this new customer, and stated “This is a return customer”. I stated to him, "We have always been return customers as well, and we’ve always paid cash in full." He made some smart comments to the other customer where they laughed as I struggled to leave the store. I feel this young man was not only rude, but extremely unprofessional, and disrespectful.

I called Kay Jewelers customer service, who were also shocked at his behavior, apologized for him and said they would make a note. I asked for the district manager to give me a call which they stated they would. I can’t understand why a reputable, jewelry company would actually employ somebody with such an attitude, and no understanding of customer service which includes keeping your personal bias and attitude to yourself when it work. Also, the customer service representative advised me although they don’t allow a return after 30 days, but I COULD EXCHANGE up to 60 days, which the young man never bothered to mention. Needless to say, I WILL NOT SHOP THERE AGAIN and would not recommend the LaGrange store to anyone!

Many of the pieces are beautiful but just not up to par and then add in the mostly horrendous customer service from our local store (Jefferson Valley Mall in NY) and it becomes a no brainer to go elsewhere. My husband has been treated like a stranger on the street with several employees from this store on more than one occasion, not like the loyal customer is he and has been for many years.

There is a big turnover at this store which does not help. We purchased two heart shaped birthstone necklaces for our two granddaughters online. We called the store and asked if they stocked the item and they do NOT stock online items. These were real 10k gold at a cost of $150+ each. Upon receiving them, they arrived in a cheap jewelry bag and the necklace chains were all tangled. Plus, they didn't look anything like the picture. So, we returned them to the local store for a refund. The refund receipt did NOT have the value of the refund on it. When I questioned the clerk, he said that is just the way the return receipts are finalized and it was a full refund.

Upon returning home I received two emails and they didn't refund the $9.95 shipping cost on both necklaces. I called customer service which said she would handle it and then she transferred me to the store. The store said they do not have a way to refund shipping and to call customer service. I called customer service twice and was told no way they will refund the original shipping cost. I understand if we shipped the item back to them and they have a processing fee for doing so and restocking. But, when returned to the store the FULL amount should be refunded. So, bottom line, don't buy ANYTHING from Kay's online. They sell garbage and overcharge for shopping and will not refund it. NOT A GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE!

Well ok I was ok with that, well fast forward to the 13th no ring again, then I was told that Le Vian was sending it back cause they don’t like sizing up rings they like to make them in your size, well back and forth me and my husband reached out to them and was being told different stuff each time…

The slogan of Kay’s is that it begins with a kiss…. Yeah a kiss of lies, anyway reached out again a week later they say my ring was sent out to be sized at LeVian, yeah after being told a week before that LeVian was sending it back, I was so upset at this point…. Fast forward a few days later and my husband calls them and he is told that it was in the process of being sized with LeVian…. Yep he sure was told that… so I got on phone and said y’all told me that LeVian was not going to size it and was sending it back over a week ago… I tell them I need the manager…. So the next day the manager reaches out to us and says my ring was sent out to their company to be sized… so it’s been lies after lies….

Fast forward to February 1st my husband calls them and says we want our money back… so we are transferred to management which tells us the ring will be here but 530 on that day... Well they call later that afternoon and say my ring is here…. So I go the next day to pickup my ring… Y’all it was not the ring I ordered. It looked so different. It was definitely not the same ring. Chocolate diamond ring is chocolate color. This looked like a sand color. Totally upset and wanted my money back…. Well I was told they couldn’t refund my money cause it’s been too long since I purchased it… Well you can imagine how I was feeling by this time….

I sit and wait and finally the manager says how can I help you and I tell her the problem and she says it’s the lighting…. No ma’am it’s not the lighting and I want my money back…. So she says she has will call DM to see what to do…. She is gone a few minutes and comes back and says they will refund my money since they had it the whole time, I will never shop with this company again! Thankfully I found the diamond and brought it right back to the store. After speaking to multiple salespeople that were not overly willing to assist, they informed me that they cannot repair it and that ring has been discontinued so it can't be replaced. After much persistence, all they could do was issue a credit but not for the warrantee. This is not acceptable as the warrantee provided no guarantee or warranty as they said it would when they sold the policy. I do not want to purchase another ring as an engagement ring should not fall apart after 6 months and then be unrepairable. As well as the fact that I purchased the one I liked and now I have to settle for something else. Customer service was not helpful at all.

I ordered an engagement ring and an anniversary band to take with me on vacation instead of wearing my really expensive rings, I received a text message saying they would be in on January twelfth which was great because we were leaving on the 18 of Jan. I called the store to make sure they were in and was told oops. That was a mistake we accidentally said they were ready. So a couple of days went by and I received an email saying they were ready and another text saying they were ready. So I drove 35 minutes across town to go pick them up. Only to find out, "Oops we couldn't fix that in the computer. They're not in yet.." I told them I had contacted their customer service and their customer service assured me they were and again. I was told, "Oops that's a mistake." they don't know if they're in or not. Then why the heck have a customer service line.

I tried reaching out to the store multiple times 2 days in a row. And every time the phone rang, it either would ring forever and disconnect. Or someone would pick the phone up and hang it up. When I went to the store to pick him up. One girl was somewhat perfunctory and her apology. The other people were not even close to apologetic. Nor did they offer another solution since they had a case full of similar items, which I would have gladly exchanged my purchase for. At this point I am so aggressive. I'm ready to return the whole thing and go to a different jewelry store. Based on the apathetic customer service I received at the retail location. It's my opinion that they either severely discount. These rings or offer me some sort of upgrade based on the frustration that I received. I could easily take this to an attorney. And I would be able to win the suit based on the multiple emails that I received and text messages.

Trust me I've checked at this point it's considered a breach of contract. I understand mistakes can happen but is my opinion that the store manager needs to contact me with an apology and a discount of some. I had no trouble paying for the rings at the drop of the hat. And I could easily go to another store and just pick up something out of the case to satisfy my needs while on vacation. My current rings are worth way more than what I spent. But I don't like traveling with my good rings. In the event they are lost or stolen. It is with great disappointment that I rate the store as a whole as a one based on their atrocious customer service. I sincerely hope that my review will keep others from purchasing and they think there to avoid the frustration I have gone through.

This ring was compensation for a mother's ring I had taken to the store several years ago to have repaired and somehow had inadvertently been destroyed.

This manager, Tiffany, was the one who had handled the original transaction and evidently there is some negative feeling on her part in assuming because when I went into the store to follow up on the phone call to pick up my jewelry, she began referring to that situation and making the most outrageous defamatory statements I've ever heard from what is supposed to be a professional. She immediately said that she was not going to allow me to take advantage of Kay's and that I was a criminal, a liar and that she had sent my "mugshot" and those were her words, over corporate. I was floored.

She went on to say that she knows all about me and she made sure that corporate does as well and that the company as a whole was "done with me"! She said they would not honor the warranties and continued to assassinate my character in the middle of the store in front of other employees and customers. I don't know if this woman has mental issues or if she was on some type of chemical that caused this behavior but I have literally never in my entire 51 years of life, been treated like this by someone who was supposed to be operating in a professional capacity.

I left the store and immediately typed an email to the representative at Kay Jewelers who had worked with me in creating the custom piece originally, Kaitlyn. She reached out to me the following day and expressed her disappointment and apologies for the way Tiffany behaved and assured me that this would be forwarded to the appropriate department to handle. Kaitlyn is extremely professional and an asset to Kay Jewelers; she has been clear with me however, that she cannot ensure that this is dealt with only that she has passed on the information. It has been nearly a week and no one has reached out to me even though I have insisted that I need to speak with someone who can assure me that this manager has been dealt with appropriately. The only person who seems to care about this is Kaitlyn, and she has no ability to deal with anything other than repairs.

It's disgusting to me but it appears at this point that Kay Jewelers has no issue with this type of defamation and mistreatment of loyal, lifelong customers. Myself and my family going back generations have been loyal customers of this company and it's appalling to me that someone didn't reach out to me immediately and that this woman was not swiftly dealt with. To behave this way in itself is disgusting but to do so to an undeserving, innocent person and to do it in front of customers and other employees is so unacceptable I don't even have words for it but here we are an entire week later and evidently Kay Jewelers supports this behavior because they have not bothered to say a single word or make a single apology to me!

This manager, Tiffany, is a loose canon and should not be permitted by Kay Jewelers to continue in a professional capacity after behaving in such an unhinged and absolutely appalling manner towards a customer. I was genuinely hoping that Kay's would address and deal with this and I could leave it there but it doesn't look like that's going to happen so it's time I consider my next steps and how far I'm going to have to take this to get justice.

On Sept 12th my wife dropped off her wedding ring (under the diamond warranty) to our local Kay Store in Fort Worth TX to replace a small stone that fell out of the ring. The ring is worth over $20K - It is now Nov 29th -- She has been calling and going to the store for over 2 months and they keep telling her another 3 weeks. I called today and they say another 3 or 4 weeks. I want the ring back NOW and they say they can't send it back.

I've been trying to speak to a Regional or District Manager with no luck. I've asked the store manager and online CSR to have someone contact me and they keep saying sure and no one calls. The assistant store manager recently during a call just laughed and said, "Well things happen." We are concerned that the ring was stolen/lost from within the company and they won't tell us. I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER ITEM FROM KAY JEWELERS AGAIN! Not sure what actions we can take other than filing a police report for theft and contact our insurance company.

Then why did she offer to help us when there were other associates available? When she corrected it, she then put the payment as gift card, even though I had used my credit card. It all started in July when I needed to get my wedding and engagement ring to be resized. They had to cut off my ring because my finger was swollen. The initial price was quoted at $229 per ring. Each ring required an additional repair (per their repair team) and the price was now $449 per ring. Totally ridiculous but they are my most precious piece of jewelry. So It took until September to get them back and now they no longer interlocked together. How resizing could change my setting was beyond me? Very upset I contacted the customer care team (which doesn’t seem like a ‘care team’ to me). The girl explained that sometimes when rings are ‘traumatized’ they do not go back the way they were. Traumatized? Still not understanding how resizing can affect the setting. The girl said they would offer me some compensation but their repair shop could not fix them to interlock anymore.

Now it is end of October and the girl called me twice and I contacted her over 15 times. With no compensation and just more and more frustrated. My most precious jewelry is destroyed!! The manager at the Krocks Rd store has been very helpful and I realize this is not on them but the care team is not helping me at all! It states on the bottom of their repair ticket that ‘complete satisfaction is their number one priority’. I can’t seem to agree with that. I will never recommend taking ANY repairs to Kay Jeweler again and if you ever need to contact their customer care team please remember they do not return calls and don't seem to 'care' at all. I thought that was their job!! Disgusted.

I went to the Kay store in Columbiana Mall (Columbia SC) today to use my lifetime protection plan for the repair. I was immediately told by a male clerk that the protection plan was null and void because the rings were cut off. What was I supposed to do? Lose my finger or hand? What good is a protection plan when a customer is in a medical situation?

The man was unprofessional, rude, condescending and turned his back on me and went into the back office never returning. He never tried to help me and refused to bring up our plan in the computer to check the conditions. The man is WRONG--the plan does not say the rings were not covered-the only thing that is not covered is loss.

For anyone who may read this, all I can say is DO NOT shop with Kay Jewelers! We have consistently had terrible experiences with them, at different locations since December. I have gotten nowhere with store managers, customer service, etc. They say one thing and then question you when they don’t hold up their end; when you try to hold them accountable to their word. They give your jewelry back to you in worse or the wrong condition than when your jewelry was sent out. We sent my rings out three times over a period of almost two months. They were only supposed to be gone for two weeks to be resized. They “accidentally” or CARELESSLY soldered them together after resizing them incorrectly twice. Apparently they don’t know how to size the rings they sell. (Finally after receiving them back, I saw that the metal has been scratched by a file, and I’m afraid to send it out again to be fixed).

Because we have the warranty they recommend with purchase, that we pay for monthly, we get unlimited resizing/etc, so they will not reimburse us for any of the mishaps they created, as we continue to pay monthly for their mistakes to be covered. We then tried to return a ring that we no longer wanted to keep (separate from the ones that were mishandled) in perfect condition/brand new. Returns are 30 days, but it was not clarified that if it was purchased in store, if that is from date of purchase or from the date of being received. It was sent out to be resized the day of purchase, for two weeks. We were under the impression that it was 30 days from the ring being in our possession.

I tried to return it (35 days from the purchase date/16 days after having it in my possession). I asked for a return or credit, as I’ve had it with me for less with three weeks. They would NOT do ANYTHING, wouldn’t even listen! I’m a patient person, but I will tell everyone, friends, family, strangers, to never shop with them. They have lost customers for life.

I finally decided to get my engagement ring resized after wearing it for a year and a half with the sizer. No issues other than it was too big. First of all, it took THREE weeks to do the simple task of resizing the ring. You’d think they would do a careful job but no. Within two weeks of getting it back, two diamonds fell out of the band. I took it back to Kay where at first they said it would be another three weeks. However they put it in that it was Kay repair fault or whatever since it was so close to the initial repair and the guarantee date was 10 days later. Whew, no big deal.

BUT now it is a day after and I’ve called the last two days where they said it is probably coming in the mail. But of course the new story today is that they’re waiting to get a perfect match on the diamond of my band and they don’t know when it’ll be ready. I’m not sure why they call it a guarantee date when today they said it really is just an estimate. I would highly suggest changing the wording. So who knows maybe I won’t even have it for the wedding. I’m glad we purchased through Kay for it to just be at the repair shop for eternity. I really regret getting it resized at Kay and trusting them.

Recently my boyfriend lost his mother and inherited her belongings. He was elated to find the beautiful ring that his deceased father had worn daily and was designed and made by his mother. He decided he was gonna get it appraised and wanted to wear it because it was so special. Unfortunately it was too small, so he took it to Kay's. His parents had purchased jewelry at Kay's for many years. We went to Kay's off hwy 20 on January 2 and dropped it off to have it appraised and sized. When the associate looked at his father‘s ring under what appeared to be a microscope, she made a comment that all seven diamonds were impeccable, and that it was a truly amazing ring. We bought a bracelet and an Opal ring for my daughter as well. We left the ring in their possession to be sized and appraised, and they told us they would contact us as soon as it came back from the appraiser.

Almost 6 weeks later, and after several attempts to reach them by phone, we went back to the store. We tell them why we’re there, and they start looking up our account. We were told they hadn't contacted us because my boyfriend's phone number was listed under another name; and they seemed generally disorganized and unprofessional. We were baffled because we have a Kay's credit card, and have been there several times prior. Already frustrated....We were shocked when we were informed that a burglary had occurred, and my boyfriend's ring had been stolen on the 4th of January. We were literally in shock, and appalled that the manager had no sympathy for a lost ring that meant so much to my boyfriend. He mentioned casually that other customers had lost pieces of jewelry in the theft worth much more than ours....as if that made our loss less traumatic!

This situation became the most unprofessional experience of our lives! We were never notified about the incident. We were not given any insurance claim information. We were told the possibility of recovery was highly unlikely. The store manager showed total disregard for the loss of a ring that had immense sentimental value to my boyfriend. Beyond that, he took no responsibility for the monetary loss. It is beyond comprehension that any business manages to stay afloat when treating customers as we were treated.

I ordered two pairs of earrings online. Fun delivery. One pair was fine. Second pair one earring was broken. Contacted Kay Jewelers. Immediately receive the case number. Since then I've heard nothing from them. Of some multiple emails still have gotten nothing back. Not an email. Not a phone call. This customer service is it's terrible to say the least.

You should not buy your engagement ring from this jeweler. They said my return window (30 days) was closed even though my ring wasn’t delivered until 31 days after I ordered it. Then when I said I thought it was 30 days from when I picked it up, they said ok. Then I was told the district manager said no and that was that. Later I was told it was a custom order and not returnable for that reason. I was never informed that the diamond and plain diamond band I wanted that they ordered for me was custom. They have been horrible to deal with for a refund. So frustrating, the customer service rep said they’d escalate it and someone might reach out in a week, after they spoke to me like I was dumb because I didn’t know my order was custom might I add. When I checked in 3 days later they told me they were now escalating it and it would be another 7 days from that date until someone reached out. The whole experience has been awful, do not shop at Kay!

Please do NOT purchase a wedding ring or any JEWELRY from this company. They will tell lies, not return phone calls and not measure your finger properly for the sizing. They are the WORST company to deal with for a refund. Please DO NOT SHOP AT KAY'S. I’m friends with the manager and she lied to me as well. They will only take your money and never fix your jewelry properly. Customer care will lie about resolving the issue. The Vice President, Bethany Spain will make up false information not to give a refund.

I have purchased a second wedding ring and it was the WORST MISTAKE EVER! The size was incorrect! The diamond came out four days later! They tried to fault me for the diamond coming out. It came out because the JEWELRY IS NOT A GOOD QUALITY! Please read reviews from customers as myself or I promise you that you will regret going to Kays. This company is a SCAM with jewelry. I will have to take legal action to resolve my claim. They are professional liars for MONEY! Be Blessed and Take my advice Please

I dropped off my ring to get resized and was told that it would be ready in 2 weeks, couple days before the 2 weeks I got a call that my ring got lost in the mail. Well, then I asked to look for a replacement that is the same as the one got lost. I was they would call me by end of the day to let me know, off they did not calll. I called them and they told me that they had found and it would take another week to be ready for pick up. - did not follow up.

I called the store to check if my ring arrived and they told it did. - how come they don’t call to let me know? I went to pick up and the associate could not find my ring- what a mess? How come they don’t keep it in a safe or a common place for pick up? Associate then call the manager and was able to find when I was about to leave the store.

The biggest issue besides the whole mess they have in that store is that the associate did not give my ring unless of a sign a general release that is manipulative and definitely should not even be legal and I will look more into it. I asked another associate if everyone signs that and she said she was there just covering that she doesn’t work on that relocation. Well, every Kay policy should be the same. I asked my sister who had sent her jewelry for maintenance and fixing and she said she never signed the release and I knew that because no one should and wouldn’t sign that.

I said, I am more than happy to sign a receipt confirming I am picking up, but I won’t sign this general release. Long story a left without my ring that is paid in full and they are holding forcing me to sign the release. The release is me agreeing not to make any negative comments on social media and that we have resolved any issue amicable. How can they make sign that and don’t release my ring?

I am only giving one star since you have to give a star to do the review. This is the WORST business to deal with. I ordered a necklace for my aunt for Christmas. She lives out of state so I ordered online in her name and shipped it to her. Immediately after ordering, I realized my phone auto-corrected the address to her address but my state and zip.

I call to have it fixed and was told no. Even though it didn't ship yet I was told they cannot change the city state and zip code. I then changed the delivery to a UPS drop-off location so it wouldn't get lost to an address that didn't even exist. Well since I put it in my aunt's name UPS couldn't give me the package. They had it sent back and returned on December 29th. This is where the fun begins! I got an email on December 29th saying I would get my refund in 7 days. 10 days later I have nothing. I email Kays and surprise surprise their "vendor" never even issued my return. Was told it would be expedited and will be issued within 7 days.

7 days later was told it WASN'T issued and will be in my account in 7 days. Guess what - NO REFUND! Chat support people have zero idea what they are doing. I sat ON HOLD for 15 minutes 27 seconds just to be hung up on this morning. No one will email me back and the support chat are reading my messages (2 checks means read) & not saying ANYTHING! This company is HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. It should NOT be this hard to get my money back. The package was never opened by anyone and came back only a couple days after being shipped. All I get is a runaround. They are really refusing to give me My money back.

I placed an order on December 23 and decided the same day I did not want to make the purchase. I contacted a representative, Katley M, and stated I wanted to cancel. They say I had 60 minutes and denied cancelation. Then, on the January 3rd they charged me for the Engagement ring and said it was going to be shipped almost 2 weeks later. This is the worst company to order Jewelry through.

I customized a wedding band for my fiancé and it was a mess. There was so much back and forth with the manufacture with sizing and when the ring was returned, it was dented and scraped horribly. It looked like they played soccer with the ring. After sending it back for the 5th time, my fiancé wore the ring for 24hrs and the black rhodium literally whipped off the ring. Horrible material and so over priced. They tried to say since it was a custom ring I could not get my money back after spending thousands of dollars. That was not going to fly. I called their customer service to file a claim, a manager never gave me a call back after numerous attempts. I contacted my bank for a dispute and Kay finally refunded me my money. I ordered another ring from an online company for a fraction of the price and that was the best decision I could have made. IF YOU WANT QUALITY JEWELRY DO NOT SHOP AT KAY JEWELERS.

I purchased a ring online on November 13th and had it shipped to my local Kay’s store. As of today 12/27/22, I’ve never received the ring. It obviously got lost or stolen in shipping. I was given a case number of Dec. 5th and told it would take 10 to 14 days to complete the investigation. As of today, customer consultants keep telling me the case is still pending. They won’t refund me for a purchase that I never received. I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of Kay’s jewelry in the past and have never experienced anything like this. There was a time when you could contact consumer relations directly and they immediately solved your issue. Now, you can only contact customer service reps who can’t really help or solve the issue. After I seek legal advice for this issue, I will be tearing up my credit card. Kay’s has lost a valuable customer.

Never buy jewelry from Kay's, especially if you are thinking of investing in an engagement ring, because they will rip you off. My fiance gave me his mother's ring, purchased in 1999. The stone cracked in 2022 because it was heavily included (meaning a poor quality stone). Kay's replaced the 1 carat diamond (SI2 rating) with a 0.85 carat. We called them out in the store and had to make a scene before the manager agreed to do anything. She replaced the diamond with a 1.03 carat of worse quality, I2 rating.

Please only buy diamonds with certs, and don't do it at Kay's or any of the companies that also exist under the same parent company. Diamonds from Kay's without certifications will all be of poor quality/near worthless, and Kay's have somehow found a way to legally sell you "1 carat" diamonds that are actually much smaller. Educate yourself on the 4 Cs of diamonds and understand what you are buying. Instead of educating their customers, Kay's take advantage of their lack of knowledge in an attempt to get them to pay MUCH more for a very poor quality stones that other jewelers wouldn't even touch. Their certification (GSI) is also a scam. It is only used by companies owned by the parent company of Kay Jewelers. The only thing accurate about a GSI cert is the diamond's size. No other jewelers use this company to certify their stones because it rates stones too favorably.

STAY AWAY!!! They do NOT stand behind their products at all. Bought my wife a ring. She wore it 4-5 times and the diamond fell out. We have been dealing with this for months promising phone calls back to us and speaking to multiple people. The verdict was we could send it in to get a free estimate to repair and replace the diamond. Before this we were told the new diamond would be free but the repair would be about $500. That is more than the ring. Why would we do that? They NEVER offered us any other solution. Not a trade in, a discount for an upgrade, NOTHING! So I said then just get me the free diamond and I will take elsewhere for them to repair the ring cause $500 is ridiculous. They said they can't do that unless it gets repaired by them. Lol. What a bunch of scam artists.

I hope this store closes down. They have idea how to take care of customers and the product they sell are probably 2nds. I mean why would a diamond fall out only being worn 4-5 times with no damage to the ring. After Kay's looked at it and made that statement of it not being damaged. For your own good go somewhere else oh and buying online with Kay's is no different because the local store will make the ultimate decision of what to do with your product. Spend the extra or go somewhere else this company is a JOKE!!!
