Horrible, horrible company to deal with. These shady people sold me a new AR15 barrel, what I received was the wrong barrel, and looked used. Had they owned up to their mistake, instead of denying my return, they would have earned 5 stars. Instead I had to get my credit card company involved. Run, run away from this shady company.

I've ordered tons of parts from Optics Planet over the past four years and the only delays have been for Backorder items, which were clearly labeled as "Backorder" when I placed my order. All "In Stock" items at the time of purchase have been shipped within two days. I always use the free shipping and the items consistently arrive within a week of being shipped to Nevada, which is basically crossing the whole country in a truck.
Frankly, I am impressed by the number of items available and how quickly items arrive on my doorstep. For backorder items, the website updates me frequently on the item's status. The updates often jump around so it can be tricky to know exactly when the item will be shipped but I assume that the information confusion arises from Optics Planet trying to get info from its suppliers. They have thousands of products so I give them some leeway on trying to estimate when an item will come back in stock. However, they have NEVER charged my CC before shipping an item so I am out nothing while I wait. Seriously, I have a huge wish list at OP and I intend to buy everything on it just as soon as I can afford to buy it.

Imagine an order from the worst possible supplier in China, shipping to the USA. Well, that's what it is like doing business with Optics Planet. They're slow. They don't care. And you'd better not ask them about it. If you get tired of waiting and want a refund, they'll be happy to refund your money 21 days after the request. OpticsPlanet: Recipient of the "We Couldn't Care Less Award" every year since their inception in 2000.

It's unreal how there are currently over 250 reviews of OpticsPlanet and 95% of them are negative. Even worse, the amount of gaslighting from optics planet. It's bizarre how on all 95% of 1 star reviews, optics planet replies to the unsatisfied customer as if the customer is in the wrong. What a dreadfully horrible company optics planet is. I ordered my handrail on the 13th of May, 2024. It's now the 19th of May. The tracking still says "shipping label created, waiting for package to be picked up". I will be calling my bank to have this purchase removed, and when they see the 95% of reviews are 1 star, they will see why.

I purchased 2 Holosun 510 and an Eotech hws and all three took a long time to ship. I ordered a Trijicon ACOG. They updated to out of stock so I had to cancel my order. Finally, the last straw was a predator plate, carrier and plates that were lost and still have not got my money back. Ordered 5 weeks ago and shipped a month ago.

If in stock, it will say “In stock” or "Expected to ship within 1-2 business days". If out of stock or shipping from a sister warehouse, it will show the estimated timeframe for shipping. Just like other reviewers, my order tracking still says "Label Created" after 2 whole days! They usually make the excuse that expedited shipping is the best way to get your order fast. Well, it's BEEN TWO DAYS, with expedited shipping, and it STILL SAYS "LABEL CREATED". So I'm guessing from the nearly thousand other reviews that I've seen that their so called "2 day expedited shipping" means it spends a few weeks in their so called "warehouse" before spending two days each with DHL and USPS. Either hand it off to USPS or give me my money back.
I'm doing a build for a fellow veteran's anniversary, and it's time sensitive. I've tried making contact multiple times, twice I've received different excuses from extremely rude and aggressive staff, and the other 3 times I was blew off. I've shown these reviews to a friend with the FBI who works in the local federal courthouse, he told me that I never should have ordered from them as they are currently being investigated for fraud and racketeering, and have a lot of shady connections with companies that are known scammers in India and Africa. I want this settled by my seeing that USPS has my package and it's coming to the proper address when I wake up in the morning.
Do not order from them, they only fulfill around 50% of their orders to maintain the appearance of being legitimate. So in conclusion, either hand it over tomorrow to USPS with the proper address and with the shipping rate that was charged to my card, or I will add myself to the rather large list of those that the FBI will call upon to testify. I've served my country for 22 years, and I'll not see people be taken advantage of.

I guess you get what you pay for with free shipping. OpticsPlanet utilizes small delivery companies that jockey your package from one carrier to the next. My carrier changes 3 times and the delivery date 5. Good luck!

Ordered a scope and mount, $1900 on 1/27/2024, immediately charged for order, supposedly shipped 1/29 out of Batavia Illinois, supposedly transferred to USPS 1/30 in Forrest Park Illinois. USPS found no evidence in their investigation that the package was ever given to them. Pandion handled the package from Optics Planet, their investigation determined the package had been lost on 2/8.
On 2/9 the package mysteriously appears in Easton Maryland. I am located in West Virginia, those logistics don't make sense. Package has not moved since appearing in Maryland, if I didn't know any better, I would think they have some kind of mail fraud going on, in addition to breech of contract by not fulfilling paid orders to customers.
If I ever do get what I ordered, which I am doubtful, I will be performing a return without opening the scope or mount, which will then likely lead to me waiting months to get my money back if I am lucky. I have already filed a Consumer Complaint with my State Attorney General, and would advise anyone else who is dealing with similar issues with this company to do the same thing. Stop shopping with them, file complaints with your State AG. If you have not received your order, file a dispute with your bank or financial company, and make sure to take detailed notes and records of all interactions with the company, shipping carriers, etc.

Ordered Jan 21st. Package was “out for delivery” Fri jan 26th. Sat Jan 27th usps updated and said there was a delay and expect next business day. Mon Jan 29th came and went. Emailed CS and was given the brush off. Delays, sorry for confusion, blah blah blah. Come back in 5 days. Replied and got no answer until tues Jan 30th with another brush off to now come back in 15 days if I haven’t received it. I decided now to call and speak with someone. First attempt I got disconnected so I called back and waited on hold again. That rep repeated the same garbage and told me there was nothing that could be done and I had to wait it out. Refused to contact USPS. So now here I am no item, out $135, and no help from them. This wasn’t my first purchase with them but it will for sure be my last. Side note USPS isn’t much help either. Their site is terrible and keeps giving submit errors when filing a claim.

I bought a red dot with a magnifier for my rifle on 01/16/2024. I received the item today the 19th of January and installed it on my rifle. The red dot fits perfectly but the magnifier is wobbly and does not stay snug. I tried several times to mount it in case I missed something the first time but I kept getting the same result. I called Optic Planet and spoke to Emily who relayed to me that due to the fact that the item was mounted, they would not do an exchange. I advised her that there was no way for me to know how the item would fit unless I mount it. She told me to call the manufacturer Sig Sauer for troubleshooting.
I didn't buy this from Sig. I bought it from Optics Planet. All I waned was a product that worked as advertised. No more, no less but with these guys apparently you can not get that. This was my first and last time ordering from them. After this I looked the company up in detail and discovered that they have a terrible reputation with customer service including with the BBB. It is a shame but these are some bad business practices. And now I am $400.00 out. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

This company mailed my package to the wrong address. I have reached out by phone multiple times, email multiple times and they do not respond. I went back and confirmed my actual mailing address and don’t know how they have the address it was sent to. No communication from them at all.

PIC shows three beds - a bunk and a single but only 1 cot is shipped. Company denied any wrongdoing saying it was the manufacturers problem including adding products in the PIC to entice buyers, refused the honor purchase, very argumentative and ugly people to deal with.

I was shipped the wrong part from OpticsPlanet, verified my order, and verified they shipped the wrong part. I attempted to return the product via their website, but was given an error code. I have since emailed them which has consisted of 20+ emails (didn’t count how many emails) of them saying “we’re sorry for your trouble” type emails, but their emails have no substance and have not to rectified the issue at hand. Furthermore, their emails were also redirecting me back to their online return process, which is not working. Is their customer service even reading the emails? Or is it being run by ChatGPT? I will use a different service from now on.

During a recent build, I purchased quite a bit from OP but will no longer do so due to their ridiculous "free shipping" which has turned out to be horrible. If you order mid-afternoon on Friday your order will not ship until Tuesday at the earliest and will, apparently, be shipped via horse and buggy. Their free shipping sounds appealing but do not select it if you can avoid it. I am currently waiting on an order I placed on a Friday and eight days later my parts have not moved from the DHL shipping hub in IL. They have so much potential to beat out other online retailers (MidwayUSA) but cannot figure out the shipping end. Based on this OP has lost another customer even though their prices are generally better but shipping is extremely frustrating.

On July 6, 2023 I order a rings for a scope from Optics Planet. Couple of days later I received a notification from Optics Planet stating that product was delivered. I went downstairs and did not find anything by my door. I immediately checked my cameras and found out that no postal worker showed up. I called customer service of Optics Planet explained what happened and I was told I should wait couple more days before claiming. I waited and that’s where my nightmare began. I filled a claim form “affidavit”, insurance u-pick claim form. After two months of waiting I was told by Optics Planet that nothing can be done because they got notified that product was delivered. I lost my money and never got a product. Luckily I spent less than 100 dollars, what if it was more than 1000. I would not recommend this company to no one.

I could write a long detailed explanation concerning my last order on 2 Jun 2023 where both items were supposed to be in stock but were not and after the order, the status became back ordered and the date changed every day further into the further! In July they sent a status email with no status but saying they hadn’t heard from me! Order if you like and post 5 star ratings but you may find your once popular online store has changed for the worst!

I ordered a product that to this day says “ships within 1-2 business days” and paid extra for expedited shipping. A USPS shipping label was promptly printed but after 10 business days no update. I checked the actual USPS site and there’s no notification other than a label was printed but USPS is still awaiting the package. When I brought this up to OpticsPlanet they blamed the local post office for not scanning it. So I’m supposed to believe the local post office is just sitting on my purchase?
I’m a postal employee so naturally I contacted that office only to find they have not received the item at all and not only that, but they encounter this issue with Opticsplanet regularly. They print a label, sit on it in their shipping department and if you ask about it OpticsPlanet will lie and blame the post office. Which in itself makes no sense because if that specific office has such a consistent issue OpticsPlanet should use a different shipper. When I asked for a refund OpticsPlanet tells me I have to wait 15 business from the date of purchase. So they give themselves 15 days from the date they print a label to actually send what is ordered. Infuriatingly dishonest.

We are very sorry for any misunderstanding. On countless occasions, we have witnessed the carrier's tracking website provide no new information for several consecutive days, only to suddenly resume with updates prior to delivery. Although not ideal, the package is typically still on its way even when the tracker stalls. For this reason, we must allow 15 consecutive business days with no movement to pass before filing a Lost Package Claim. We hope this has cleared up any confusion. Thank you.

I searched for a holster that fists my weapon, Optics Planet put out a product without the full specification of what caliber the holster would fit. I needed it for a 9mm, it fits a 40 or 45. I tried to get a refund because of their mistake. I was told the product is not eligible for refund only store credit. Optics Planet does not have the holster I'm looking for and it isn't my fault they sold something without fully disclosing the product specs. I can't get a refund to go and buy what I'm actually looking for elsewhere. I think this is definitely BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!

This was the third time I ordered from them for something in stock, on to be told later they can't fulfill the order without a long wait. This time there were several vendors with the same item for a very close price, but OpticsPlanet was a dollar or two less so I decided to give them one more try to see if they could get my order right this time. Well, that was a mistake. A couple of days later I got the usual fulfillment excuse in my email, after everyone else's sales prices had expired. I ended up paying an extra $30 thanks to OpticsPlanet, and that was the last straw. I'll never buy anything from them again and I'm pretty sure they are just a reseller since most all of the complaints against them are very similar to mine.
If you have any doubts, just look at all of the complaints against them and you'll see that they have a history of not fulfilling orders until weeks later, if at all. This has caused the BBB to issue an alert for this business: "Pattern of Complaint: BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning delivery issues, product issues, and refund/exchange issues. On 2/4/2021, BBB submitted a written request to the company encouraging them to address the pattern of complaints. As of 6/9/2021, BBB has not received a plan of action to alleviate the pattern of complaints". Need I say more?

I can't figure out what has happened with shipping. What a mess. They use DHL, who sits on it, then eventually passes it off the Postal Service, so the process takes twice as long as it should. Very cumbersome and inefficient. I like Optics Planet, but hate the fulfillment and shipping portion. It's just not good.

If I could give a zero star to these losers I would. All they do is print a label and never ship. Then they claim it is shipped. Product is out of stock as the shipping label is from another state. Filed a cc claim to get my money back. I would consider this ‘company’ scammers. Ever wonder why reputable companies like Leica, Swar no longer allow them to carry their products? They are total trash. Criminal. And I have the emails/tracking to prove everything.

If you love disrespect and aggravation Optics Planet is for you. It is May 10, 2023 and I just received email that the product I ordered on FEBRUARY 12, 2023 may be on the way. I ordered fiber optic sights for my handgun on February 12, 2023. Seven hours later I received an email from Optics planet that the front sight I had ordered was not in stock. To be clear the same day as the order I called Optics Planet and asked to just cancel the order. I wanted the set now. Optics Planet said NO. That the front sight was ordered and they would be sending it to me when it came. I tried to explain that no one else did business like that. The response from Optics Planet was basically…tough. We are not cancelling the order. You will get it when you get it.

I ordered a product and company charged my credit card. It was NOT a hold on credit card. It was a charge. Product was on back order for a long time. I cancelled the order and company will not refund the charge. My credit card Clearly shows it is a charge and clearly shows no refund. OpticsPlanet is running a big scan and it can be proven with 1. Credit card charges 2. Proof of not shipment 3. Proof of no refund to Credit card.

I tried to order an accessory item for a CMMG bolt. They would not sell me the item unless I answered these questions.
2) What is the end use of the product(s) you have ordered? (Its purpose described by them.)
3) Where is the final destination of the product(s) you have ordered? (Please respond with a city and country.) (Obviously where they are shipping it - my address.)
4) Why is your order shipping to a UPS store?
All of my order information covered items one through three. Why I have a UPS box is NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS! Since they wouldn't fill the order without my confirming information that they already had, or wanting information that was none of their business, I cancelled the order. We will see how long it takes for me to get a refund.

I ordered a mount for a sight and ended up getting a tool kit instead. I placed an order for a Burris Red Dot on Tuesday, with paying for a 2-day shipping upcharge as I needed the scope for a hunting trip. Needed scope NLT Saturday-preferred Friday so I could sight in the gun with the new red dot. Order No **. I called customer service on Wednesday and Thursday and was assured I’d receive it Friday. Second call was Thursday afternoon and was told it would definitely ship Thursday night. Both times the person told me my order was on the Hot List for shipment. Friday morning at 9:00 am I receive an email stating “Sorry. We’re a Little Behind." I call Friday morning and ask for a supervisor. None available. I’m told one will call within the hour. One hour passes so I call again. While I’m on the phone, the supervisor calls. I’m told, yes they are behind, yes, I see the notes to get it out. No, not yet shipped. I ask to send it out Friday and change shipping to overnight. I’m told that is not possible, I ask: go to the warehouse, pick the item and ship it out overnight. Response is No.
I demanded an immediate refund of my purchase price plus shipping. Refund was posted on my Amex on Saturday. I found another supplier Friday afternoon, at a cheaper total price for the scope and shipping, got overnight shipment and it arrived at 3:00 PM Saturday. Hunting trip saved! Don’t buy from this business. They may be a legitimate business but they don’t care about the customer and fail to follow through on what you hear from Customer Service. Unfortunately, I did not read these reviews before making my purchase; many remount similar shipping failures. Lesson to me and I hope to the reader; read the reviews and look harder-find a responsive retailer at a cheaper price!

I purchased an item 6 or so months ago. Ever since I have been getting marketing emails and texts from them every freaking day! I’ve replied “stop” dozens of times but they continue. I’ve blocked the number of every text message they’ve sent, they just change the number! I’ve called their customer service several times and they promised me they would remove my information from their system. I still get emails and texts every day! While I’m driving, while I’m sleeping, while I’m in business meetings, while I’m having dinner and so on and so on and so on!
I’ve even gone to the county magistrate and filed harassment charges against them and demanded they cease and desist but I still have to endure their marketing every day of my life!!!! The next step will be to retain an attorney and sue them! My god this nightmare could have never occurred if only I did business with anyone other than Optics Planet! Never do business with these people unless you are incredibly lonely and want to be stalked every single day for the rest of your life!!!

I have tried to give Optics Planet a fair shake. Starting with the shipping. Shipping from Optics Planet is super slow even for free shipping. Orders that are marked in stock are often delayed for being out of stock. If the item happens to be in stock for real, it is several days before it is marked as shipped. It is then marked as shipped but takes several more days before their carrier marks it has received instead of just a label printed. The carrier (DHL) is then super slow and often takes more than a week before they hand the item off to USPS which is another story.
Most of the time you eventually get your item. The reason after spending thousands of dollars at this retailer and dealing with the issues that I will no longer do business with them is the RMA process. After waiting for an extended period of time to receive an item in the first place I found it to be the wrong item. Completed an RMA form and shipping level fairly quickly. Thought the process was rather good until this point. I then received an email that I would get notification of their receipt of the item within 10 days of them getting the item. Then two weeks for them to process the item. Then the shipping back. That would be most likely a month before even a chance of having the item back in hand. I thought this may be just a generalized statement to cover any delays, so I called.
My item arrived at Optics Planet on the 6th. I did receive notification that they got it. When calling to check the agent I spoke with verified it would be at least 10 days before they processed the RMA. He stated that they were currently working on RMA items from the 1st. I called on the 8th. This is a horrible and unreasonable amount of time. After speaking with them I ordered the item from an alternate site, and it will be delivered tomorrow. I will have a spare when I eventually get the item back from Optics Planet but will no longer use their service. The service and speed are too unreliable. I cannot count on getting and item from them in any kind of reliable or timely manner. When speaking with their customer service you can tell by how they talk to you that they really do not care and give you scripted responses. If you ask something that would take them off script, they just do not answer or reply with the same message.

Purchased a product on the economy delivery. Wow was that a mistake. They sent it to DHL Dumbest humans Living. They transported it to ST. Louis and that's where it's camping out for four days. Don't get much from tracking because that's horse and buggy. OP takes no responsibility of this shady delivery service. They know about it. Still use. Never again will I buy from OP.

I have ordered two items from Optics Planet, and both were disasters. They delay my orders and then require I telephone them to confirm payment on credit cards. Regardless of how many times I have ordered with the same card, they do not ship or notify me rapidly. Of course, these messages come much later, and I am left sitting and wondering where my order is. They, also charge my card, claim they have shipped the product, then I get a message much later that the product that I wanted is out of stock and no date is known for its availability. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! If you do, you will be sorely disappointed and angry. All of the hundreds of people who have left these reviews are not doing this out of satisfaction with this company.

I ordered and paid for a die set online. I received something entirely different. I spoke to customer service who apologized and admitted that they screwed up with the part number on their website, and for the inconvenience, they would pay for return shipping on the incorrect part and ship me the one I thought I was getting at no additional charge. All they did was credit the original incorrect order and wanted me to order the die set again so they could charge me again for the part and shipping which was a shitty thing to do. I will never do business with them again and I would recommend nobody else does either.

That said, I would appreciate more communication and updates regarding my order. My order is for a chronograph and rubber ladder rail to add color to a picatinny rail section. It's possible that my order is on hold because the law needs further interpretation regarding accessories. The customer advocate I spoke with was pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, she informed me that they are just as in the dark as their Illinois customers are regarding Optics Planet's plan. I'd like to know if they intend to manually review orders for compliance with the new law and then decide to approve or cancel the order.

I had a package label get swapped at the UPS store and had a return go to OpticsPlanet by mistake and another package go to Primary Arms. I did not know until about two weeks later when Primary Arms contacted me saying they received the wrong items, which I then had returned to sender and redirected to the right location. Meanwhile Optics Planet could not find my package, even with the tracking number and proof of delivery that I provided them that UPS sent me. This was back in August. I bounced back and forth with support at Optics Planet for months up until today where they finally said they never got it, despite me having provided a proof of delivery, and a detailed description of my item to include a unique serial #.
Only today 1/9/23 did they finally tell me that they never received my package and that I should take up my claim with UPS, knowing full well that is outside of my capabilities as UPS requires claims to be filed within 60 days of a package arriving at its intended destination. To say I am upset is an understatement. I understand that this was not originally their problem as I should have reviewed labels at UPS more carefully to prevent a label mix up, however the other company handled the situation as expected in a much more timely manner with good communication, whereas OpticsPlanet completely dropped the ball. Their slow response times and constantly giving me the runaround for months costed me $450 from the Trijicon optic that is lost now.

We are truly sorry for this unfortunate experience. Our warehouse team investigated, but was unable to find a package that matches your description. We recommend filing a claim with the carrier for your lost package, as you mentioned that the mix-up occurred when your labels were swapped at the UPS store. Bought telescope and one of parts (Laser Pointer) was broken when I received the product. Notified company via email support. Was told to do an RMA. I asked if they wanted the whole package back or just the broken part to replace. Response I received stated... "Thank you for contacting us about your order! Yes sir, you can, since it respect the delay of return." which makes no sense. I packed up everything and the RMA required me to pay for return shipping. I sent a note to their support stating since the product arrived broken I was not paying for the shipping to return it.
The response I got was "Okay. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us again." By no way was this response correcting my issue with having to pay for shipping nor any direction on next steps. I then reached out to my credit card company to dispute this charge as the company was not making this process simple. Now OpticsPlanet says they will not send a pre-paid return shipping label until I remove the chargeback/dispute from my credit card company. I will not be held hostage by a business that operates in this manner.

I purchased Ammo from Optics Planet. Specially 1000 rounds of 7.62x36 Wolf 124 grain FMJ for under $300.00 two years ago. It was placed on backorder when I bought it then the expected delivery date started changing. For two years I watched the expected delivery date get moved out every few weeks. I called twice, I let them know they sold the ammo on the site just in smaller quantities and to put the quantities together to fill my order… Nonono they wouldn’t do that because it would be way more than $300.00 dollars. Companies should have to honor their order or offer something similar at the same price. I hope this place gets shut down. Don’t shop there.

I have ordered multiple items from Optics Planet. One today, one last month and so on. During each purchase their online site showed the item “available” while in the cart and during checkout. I’m even given the option for 3-5 business day shipping which I chose. The past few orders I received an email receipt showing the estimated ship time to be 3-4 weeks out. I call to ask WTH? And their customer service tells me it’s just a “glitch” in their system. I have cancelled my past 2 orders and have stopped using them as of today. This company is flat out lying to its customers and would rather obtain as many orders as possible and disappoint their customer’s rather than fix a supposed “glitch”.

Order placed for an in-stock item which was packed and shipped within 3 days. That is the extent of the any positive experience. The item shows enroute and has for almost 10 days now. The shipper (DHL) details indicate that they are waiting for the package, however Optics planet said they gave it to DHL. I have contacted customer service 3 times, and each time I am told to wait until "x" date and if there is no movement contact them again. They seem to be just kicking the can down the road and no one seems to be able to provide an update. The couple of bucks you might save + bonus bucks might seem appealing but when all is said and done I don't think it's worth the hassle. In hind sight, I wish I would have read the reviews before placing any order. My first and last with these folks.

The worst and most disrespectful company! I made a purchase recently and when choosing the payment method I opted for Paypal. That done, I received a confirmation email from Paypal saying that the product would be delivered to my old address in Miami. Excuse me?? I made the purchase at Optics which has my current address in Utah. When contacting Optics to complain about this, I heard the following nonsense "from the moment the payment was made via Paypal you have to talk to Paypal". What?? Paypal should only be a payment method, right? As far as is clear, no!?
Optics has no respect for the customer and has dodged the case. So I contacted Paypal who replied, "we don't manage this as we are just a transaction company etc". What??? Conclusion: one pushes the problem to the other! And there's more: I paid almost $60 more for express delivery, as I was traveling to Brazil and therefore it would be essential to receive the product in a maximum of 3 days. Guess what? In addition to having sent it to the wrong address, this delivery arrived with a delay of more than 3 days. Anyway, they are all irresponsible and do not respect the customer!

Twice I tried to order from Crap Optics in the past month. The first time I tried to order a knife and had to be verified law enforcement or military, and was denied in both categories, even though I am still active and even sent them a pic of my badge and license. In the end.... Ebay got my business. This month I ordered a threaded barrel using Tactical Store.com. I didn't know it was the same place until I called in to cancel my order after being postpone twice. Save yourself the headache, and money. Trust me. You will also save money by using another vendor or company.

The company is now at around 50% at getting orders to me, but I don't recommend using them. The last order I put in has not yet shipped. What is bothersome is that the item goes to directly as "item shipped" so the customer can not cancel the order and get a full refund. Above this it says "processing", so what is it? You contact customer service and it is they are unable to help. The fact that an item automatically goes to "shipped" as soon as you place an online order is a very poor business practice and the reason I will not order from this company again. Go to Midway or EuroOptic and avoid this company.

Consider other distributors!! I write this on 12/6 about my order placed on 10/16 which included 4 items (all of which could fit in the palms of my two hands). They are still unable to get inventory of just one item. After escalating to a supervisor, they have declined to ship the other three items since I selected free shipping. To think that this company can’t afford to meet my request and accept that expense through their shipping partner tells me that they simply do not care about their customers. Instead, they offered me a 5% discount = $3! No Optics Planet, use the money to ship me the parts I paid for! I have purchased ammo, parts and optics through them. Never again.

I ordered a 30mm Rifle Scope Body Adapters w/ Picatinny Rail. First there was a several-day delay, before the product shipped out. Once it did finally shipped out, they used DHL for shipping and took 10 days to deliver. When I received the product, I found that the quality was far worse than I even had anticipated for the price I paid. Extremely low quality and very poor milling. The part barely fit together correctly.
After reaching out to customer service and including several pictures. I was told I would have to fill request an RMA, send the product back and then wait another two weeks for the replacement. In other words, they wanted me to take time out of my day to send their $16 defective product back, so they could sell it to somebody else... very shady. Would not recommend find anything from them.

Ordered handles for my pistol two months ago. Item was not in stock and was notified when it will be shipped (supposed to be three weeks after I ordered it), well, it's been 8 weeks already, shipping date has changed at least 10 times, seems it changes everyday. Terrible experience, bad service with nothing but excuses from them. Will not buy from OpticsPlanet again. Buyers beware.

Just look at the past issues Optics Planet has. Most people are not happy with them. I’ve had about a 50% success rate with this company, but have consistently noticed they are on the extremely slow side of shipping. Shipping takes an average of 3-4 weeks to complete, even if you pay for rush shipping. I honestly hate ordering from this company. I will always order from one their competitor sites and just pay shipping from this point on, the headache not worth the “free shipping” that this company offers. They also have issues with labeling items in stock that are not actually in stock. Terrible terrible terrible!!!

You will receive your orders like others have mentioned in positive reviews, however if you have an issue and have to return something it will take a lot of time, headaches and you may never get your full amount back. I completely agree with other negative reviews which have said, it's fine until it's not. The reason I will not do business with this company is for multiple reasons but the return process is what finally did it for me. I placed an order for multiple items and for one item the color wasn't what I expected and had to return it. They received my return on 8/24 and when I didn't see a credit I contacted them on 9/2. They finally "processed" the return on 9/7 and deducted the OpticsPlanet bucks earned on the order correctly from my account for $7.03 but did not credit me for the item which was $61.70.
After contacting and going back and forth multiple times with CS the issue was referred to a supervisor who just said "I must have used my credit" with absolutely nothing to support that statement. I'm assuming this was just a blanket answer since they obviously never took even a second to look at my account since I was very clear I hadn't placed an order since they received my return. I had to send them screenshots of my account that clearly showed they hadn't processed the credit and finally they issued a credit on 9/20. The credit of course was less than I was due for $58.61 (short $3.07). See attached photo for account activity.
I have a feeling this poor customer service is normal per other reviews and they may just hope you get tired and give up on refunds as I'm doing with the amount they shorted me on the credit. I used my remaining credit but will never order from this company again due to the issues with their return process and poor CS. It really isn't much of a loss since I had already started buying most items elsewhere due a number of other smaller issues with orders I had received.
What I've experienced had been slow shipping times (using DHL for some orders which added up to a week delay for something ultimately being delivered by USPS - this makes no sense now that we're not affected by COVID before they add a blanket response to this review and I order from another IL company and since I'm only 3 states away get things via USPS within a few days not almost 10), a $900 Aimpoint red-dot being delivered via USPS (box mangled but luckily item intact only because the item itself is rugged - could not believe they didn't use UPS or FedEx for an expensive item), and their pricing shows discounted prices for items ultimately being sold at MSRP which means there really isn't a discount on some items so don't make the mistake and not shop around. In a nutshell, if it's an inexpensive item you don't mind losing the money if it needs to be returned, you're not in a hurry to get it and you shop around to verify the price is better than anywhere else you might want to take the risk. Otherwise stay very clear of this company.

I ordered parts for a new 300 Blackout build from 6 different websites, all of the parts are scheduled to arrive in a few days. I checked on my OpticsPlanet.com order (the upper) and though it was the FIRST thing I ordered, it shows it should ship out in a couple weeks. The product I ordered wasn't backordered, it was IN STOCK. I contacted support and they indicated that that is the case with many of their products. They list them as IN STOCK when they are in fact backordered. I'm only giving 2 stars (instead of one) because the live chat person was quick to cancel the order when I requested it. OpticsPlanet.com needs to climb out from the rock they are under and realize how the rest of the industry does business.

Ordered multiple items on June 6th. Received half the items on June 21st. What I received was great! Unfortunately I never received the other half of my order. I contacted OpticsPlanet via email. Was told that my 2nd package was returned to sender and that it will be sent back out when they receive it. I waited a few weeks.. No package or update. So I sent another email asking for a update. No response. Sent another email a few days later. No response. Finally I call them up last week and the lady I talked to said she didn't know where the package was. I then just asked for a refund. Then she said that she couldn't issue a refund and that her manager would have too and I would get a email when she's done. No email yet, or package, or refund...

Optics Planet uses DHL for shipping. This more than doubles your shipping times. You have to wait a week or more for DHL to get your package to USPS and then another week or so for USPS to get it to you! Nothing against both shipping companies, but it’s twice the effort. Just mail it USPS or UPS and get it in less than half the time. You get only two star!

I have recently became an Optics Planet customer, and ordered (at least) 2-3 separate orders with Optics Planet. My first experience with ordering issues, website issues, and customer service was acceptable and overall decent but resulted in an order not being counted toward my official email/account (Optics Bucks). Ok - no problem.
I just ordered a rifle scope from their website approx. a week ago. I received an email asking me to take additional steps to verify my credit card. First, I missed the email for 3-4 days thinking it was a normal processing email! Next, the email had confusing instructions for me to verify my credit card. This resulted in me spending more than an hour looking for a charge on my credit card(s)—including calling my bank cards to verify a charge that did not yet exist!
I called customer service 3 times and eventually found out…I had to approve a fake charge being added so that I could waste more time and call more people to get my order processed. How is a criminal going to hijack my card, my email, my phone number, my order number, my past orders, my address, etc.? I was told this was because I was shipping to a different address - no other retailer has this issue? Not my first order folks—spent a decent amount of money at this website!!
Poorly written emailed instructions resulted in a bunch of wasted time, a delay in my order, and ultimately me cancelling my order with their customer service (both on the phone and in email) —- which both Customer Service basically told me I was the one who mis-interpreted their poor directions. I cancelled my order, ordered elsewhere, and received next day delivery at no charge since I am a member where I ordered at the same PRICE (minus the minimal optics bucks credit—like literally under 5 bucks!)
I took a screenshot of their instructions, sent to them via email with a complaint, but was still told basically it was my bad—-guess I have low intelligence for not understanding their poor instructions. Even their response via email—-which was the same day—-had typos that made their communications difficult to read—-just unprofessional. I will happily avoid all the recommendation links from partners in the future, and order elsewhere. I have spent my last ‘several hundred dollars’ with them.

Paid for 5 day shipping, yet 10 days later my order has "supposedly" shipped, but I have not received the item. Sure caused me some problems as I selected Optics Planet specifically because they said they could deliver it quickly. They did refund my shipping charge, but I still do not have the item. For 10 days it has been listed as "Tendered to Delivery Service Provider". I sure don't recommend this business if you want timely delivery. This was my first, and last experience with them.

So I am in Brazil at the moment on deployment. I always order things from places I am deployed and it was never a problem. This time it's different. I place an order over regular items (Scope, Range finder, Bipod, some small items, nothing of concern like NVGs or high-tech). And what do they do? They put my order on hold and start asking me questions about how I will use the items and why I order from Brazil?!? Like... WTF! I have never experienced more insulting and invading intrusion into my privacy. The US is a free country and I don't think I have to justify if I go hunting, shooting competitions or whatever. It is NOT YOUR BUSINESS! Don't support harassment! Don't buy from them. Other companies are cheaper anyway.

I have purchased things from Opticsplanet for years, though they have always been slow, I've never had major issues until this week, placed a $500 order on in-stock items, was charged, then their site says the items were shipped, I contact customer service 9 times to be told my items were not shipped but that they emailed their warehouse and are waiting back to get a response to know if they can refund, refund me now, I'm not going to let the cheaper prices trick me anymore, Mr. Potterfield at Midway USA will get my business.

Purchased an item from them on a great sale price... but they ran out. They promised a replacement item, but were out of that too. I updated my address while on military training, but they would not listen to my requests. They would not give me a straight answer, so I called them on their tactics. They cancelled my order and refuse to respond to me. ** with horrible business sense towards customers.

Updated on 05/16/2022: For the 2nd time in a row I paid for shipping, and it has not arrived in the time frame I paid for. The last time I was given the company line, and after posting a review on this site the company responded with reimbursement of my shipping. Same problem this time, same excuse, and I'm reviewing once again about the horrific business practices of this company's Customer Service. Go somewhere else as this company will not even attempt to make it right. I'm happy to provide screenshots to anyone thinking of doing business with these people.
Original Review: I paid for 3-5 day shipping, it's late, and Brittany at Opticsplanet said what I paid for is not guaranteed nor would I be compensated. She then promptly terminated the call. I paid for the shipping they offered, and they kept my money while giving me the finger. I'm happy to email screenshots to anyone who is thinking of making the same mistake of doing business with this company.

I've placed 3 orders with Optics planet in the last 2 weeks. The first two took a while to arrive but not unreasonably long. They did however fail to inform me that I would have to be present at my home to sign for the third one. This package was already delayed and delivery fell on a Friday and I now have to wait until Monday because on top of everything, they also placed a restriction that doesn't allow me to pick it up from UPS. Planned an entire weekend around this package and had to cancel. Reached out to customer service to see if they could possibly lift the restriction. No response! Wish I would have supported other businesses more deserving than optics planet and will do so in the future.

So first let me preface that you may read about how Optics Planet says they can’t claim a lost item with UPS for 15 plus business days which isn’t entirely accurate. I bought an item from them on Presidents’ Day trying to exploit a deal for the occasion. UPS says you can file a claim the day after its expected delivery date. Which I did because it made to about an hour from myself before it stopped moving and the delivery date passed. I waited a couple of days to be sure and then filed a claim.
I then reached out to both ups AND optics planet for next steps. UPS said yeah you might try and get a refund or have them ship another. Which I posted that email into an email I sent to sales@opticsplanets. They said their hands are tied till the 15 business day had passed. After several more days of monitoring the claim it says it requires more details which I tried to reach to UPS to give them and they informed me only the shipper can and has to. So I then reached back out to sales@opticsplanet and they said UPS will reach out to sales@opticsplanet to get the info required. I’m 18 days from the date of purchase 17 from the original ship date it was supposed to get here the Friday after Presidents’ Day. I have bought several things from optics planet.
Here’s my overall impression. Some of the deals are legit some are “blue light specials” by which I mean they aren’t as much of a deal as they would lead you to believe. They usually ship pretty quick. And their range is excellent. However this ordeal has left a very bitter aftertaste. If you read this post wondering if you should buy from optics planet, I recommend that you shop with caution and pray you don’t have to reach out to the customer service.

I recently ordered a Vortex Strike Eagle Scope and was very pleased with my service and purchase. After reading some terrible reviews questioning the company and calling them scammers I became very worried. However I received my order right on time with zero problems. My advice is to check if your product is in stock and you should have zero problems.

OpticsPlanet usually is fine - takes days to hear back anything on a customer service issue. I purchased a 200$ trigger and while USPS said it was "delivered" this is also while USPS is experiencing the worst shipping times, updates, accuracy etc and was right after Christmas. I understand mistakes are made. I filed my claim with OpticsPlanet, then their Freight Department, then their ?insurance? company, waited 3 months - emailing them every other week to try and see what was going on; with no response. Finally fed up I got ahold of them directly. Apparently they just didn't bother replying or notifying me that they denied my claim. I asked for an appeal, that was denied within a day an was notified of that.
What else is beautiful, DON'T BELIEVE THE REVIEWS ON THEIR SITE. They curate the reviews, you say something negative about their customer service or something that reflects poorly on them they won't let it post or will delete it. Go spend your money on a company that deserves it, that works hard for your business and does everything they can to accomodate you. Not ignore you for 3 months because they don't want to give you a replacement refund or credit.

I placed a order for a barrel and reflex sight for my new pistol. I gave my PO Box as the shipping address. They responded saying they could not ship to a PO Box so I gave them my physical (home) address with the stipulation that they would have to ship via either UPS or FedEx because I don't have USPS at my home address. I received a confirmation email stating they would ship to my home and not use USPS.
The next day I received a email stating my order was shipped via USPS. I called their customer service and was informed there was nothing they could do until it was returned to them, which could take weeks. Then they would either reship or refund my order. I felt like I shouldn't have to wait weeks for resolution and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told one would call me back within 48 hours. They have basically tied up over $500 of my money, which is a lot to me and probably just a drop in the bucket to them. It appears that their customer service policy is to make their customers pay for their shipping department's mistakes. I've been a loyal OP customer for years, but no more.

I really doubt I will EVER order anything from OpticsPlanet again! OpticsPlanet has a total lack of control over its suppliers! I have seen this same ammo come into your competitor's site on 3 different occasions over several months, yet OpticsPlanet has continually bumped my order back and forth like a tennis ball countless times - will be a year in March. Ever hear of a commitment! And NO - DO NOT CANCEL THIS ORDER. Looking forward to seeing how many more times this small order gets bumped. I'm not sure why everyone has such bad experiences with this company other than it seems a lot of reviews here ordered something that was back-ordered without having realised it. OpticsPlanet had an item (a Spuhr G3 stock) I wanted that only one other place had for significantly higher price. I read the reviews and was extremely wary of OpticsPlanet, but I asked a friend of mine about them. He's ordered from them several times before and never had any issues (though never any ammunition), all he said was to make sure the item I was ordering was actually *in stock*. I took a chance and ordered the stock from OpticsPlanet, and the order had absolutely zero issues; it shipped promptly and arrived when they said it would.

I ordered the scope on 03 Dec 2021 and am yet to receive any update beyond SHIPPING LABEL CREATED and ITEM ON ITS WAY TO USPS FACILITY. All attempts to contact customer care by mail or phone just meet with a stonewall. No option to cancel the order. This company is a con job which steals your hard earned money. Avoid it like the plague.

They have not been able to fulfill an order from 11/08/2020. I understand that a lot of companies were having issues with their suppliers, but this is ridiculous. It would seem to me to maintain good customer service they would just admit that they are not going to fulfill an order and/or offer another item for the same price, but who am I just another number to them. Thank God there are several other companies out there

My items were sold to me 5 month earlier than their policy change, didn’t ship the items because of “processing” and at last applied their new policy changes to the sold items to avoid shipping them. Terrible service.

Ordered a case of Winchester 124 grain NATO 9mm. It's supposed to come in an ammo box, but I'll never see it, so it really has little bearing on this review. So ordered last November when ammunition was still around, and at a high, but not outrageous price. At the time there was a several week ETA provided. Now, after 50 weeks of waiting I still have not received this order. I can log on and watch the ETA change every week, to find that it has always been moved forward... So, I know that the price of this ammo raised to double what was advertised last year, when I ordered in good faith.
I have contacted (another difficulty, to be sure) OP customer "care" to ask for a substitution to complete my order. They will, but only at current market (double) pricing. What a horrible way to treat a customer who has waited for a year for the order already. They will, no doubt cancel this order on me against my wishes, The only solution to this issue is for them to ship me what was agreed upon a year ago, at the price that was advertised.

Wrote customer service a question about any upcoming promotions they might have for the upcoming Veterans Day in 7 days from now. Asking because I was looking at a high dollar purchase. The response I received back was, if I were an account holder or member of optics planet I would know. Really? That's the response I get. Not "no, we sure are, but you will have to wait and see" or "I'll check for you". I am veteran, retired Army. This is how they treat their veterans. Just check your emails for promos when they come out. And that was it.

Ordered a simple in stock air rifle scope for $30 with 3 to 5 day shipping. It took these clowns 4 days just to get it to DHL shipping, and then the expected 4 days to NH. Without telling me they made it signature required, so I missed the USPS man and now I have to go to the PO tomorrow to get my huge $30 order. I'm hoping no issues once I get I and am really glad I didn't order any ammo. The BBB has over 400 complaints about the games they play for months and almost years with customers. This company has at least 8 different (probably internet site) names they go by. They aren't even addressing some actual laws/rules they are breaking according to the BBB. I know I will never buy again from any of their names. They even delete and block any negative comments on their Facebook page besides the very questionable overly positive ones they probably have someone post.

ZERO STARS. I placed an order 11 months ago and yesterday I received an email cancelling my order. I called and they said that instead of being able to fill my original order that cost $429, they said they would be happy to place a new order but now the new cost would be $2,450 + tax. Stay away from this immoral scam company.

Here is the deal with these scammers! I ordered 1,000 rounds of 5.56 ammunition back in November of 2020 at the price of less than $0.40 per round. On back order and the date kept getting pushed out further and further. I was assured once the ammo comes in they would ship it at the ordered price. They sell the same ammo now in 200 round boxes. Simple solution is ship me 5 of the 200 round boxes. Nope, they cancelled my order. Why? Because they can now sell it for $0.70 per round. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! STAY FAR AWAY!

STILL WAITING. We ordered the Wise Swingback Cooler seat on July 5, 2021. The website said it was expected to ship in 5-12 days. It’s now August 21st and we still don’t have it. My husband and I contacted Optics Planet 5 times and they have done nothing but lie. I was told I wouldn’t be charged until it shipped but they took the money on July 12th. Then they tried to tell me that they had not charged me yet while I was looking at my bank statement where the money had come out.
They even went as far as to call me a liar. I purchased a Scope Combo and later OpticsPlanet cancelled the order. When I followed up on it, they told me the deal was too good at that price - $648 Burris Veracity and Free Burris Full Field. Then they told me that Burris discontinued the Full Field (which they have), however Optics Planet has 12 in stock. Burris also told me that the package was created by Optics Planet so if they have the scopes in stock they could still make the package (which I agree). The sales guy at Optics Planet then tells me the deal was too good and that they would sell me the combo for $900 dollars and free two day shipping. This company has lost my business for life. I will never do business with them again!!

I purchased ammunition for a revolver 12/29/2020. As of to date 8/10/2021, I still get a promised shipment date somewhere in the future but always changed by Optics Planet further down the month. They keep saying it is on back order. Get real.... I finally canceled the order and purchased the ammunition from another company. This is really not acceptable. I called and spoke to representatives but always was given the same, "we're sorry for the inconvenience." If you want anything from this company, in my opinion, better not be in a hurry.

I have been an Optics Planet for 4 plus years and have only great things to say about them. They are very rewarding for being a loyal customer. Even more discounts when becoming a VIP member, but if you call their excellent customer service when you have larger purchases, they will go out of their way to get you the best discounts. I.e. order recently placed was reduced by 40 to 45% of the retail price. Always look for their deals, can set up text alerts, too.

They show the item I was buying IN STOCK...which is why I ordered from them, so I order it, they charge my card for hundreds of dollars, and I get an email the next day saying I won't see my product for 7-10 MONTHS. Will never order from again, ever. Hoping I can even get my money back. Apparently they're notorious for doing this too. Showing items in stock they don't even have. STEER CLEAR.

I contacted customer service, got told I could cancel my order, but that would not honor the quantity listed for FX pellets. They still haven't updated the site 3 weeks later. They are trying to scam everyone, very dishonest.

Back in September on the website you I purchased ammo. On the tan you can select in stock so I ordered some. I keep getting updates that it gets pushed back 2 weeks. That’s fine and all. I understand back orders. I don’t understand that the website says in stock. That’s why I ordered it. They do not want to honor the price that was listed so today I get an email saying that they are canceling my order. Talk about bad customer service. They would rather lose a customer than maintain a customer. That’s fine. This is not the only time this has happened. Midway and 2 a whse has no problems taking care of the customer. They will get all my business from this point on. Be wary if you order from DVOR that it may come from Op that you will get poor customer service also.

I purchased and paid for a Magpul furniture kit, for which I received an order confirmation, and after two weeks was wondering, "Where is my order?" After logging in I saw that my order was listed as, “Processing - Order Needs Your Attention”. At no point was I notified my order needed my attention, so had I not checked, I would still be here two weeks from now waiting on it.
After 30 minutes and two different reps, the order was supposedly released after I provided my credit card information, which I provided two weeks ago when I placed the order. One rep told me the items had be backordered, which was never indicated online or in the order confirmation, while the other rep told me “your credit card information didn’t take”. Not likely given I used the same credit card for the items that arrived under a prior order, plus why would they confirm my order and payment if it didn't go through.
After emailing OpticsPlanet twice with the above details, I've received no response, so I can't imagine having to process a warranty claim with them. Plenty of other websites offering the same products, so I'm done with these guys. Why was I not notified there was an issue with my order? Why was there an issue in the first place? Why was I not able to simply pay online vs. wasting 30 minutes talking to two different reps?

I placed a couple of ammo orders back in November of 2020, and I am still waiting for them! They keep saying that they are waiting on the manufacturer to deliver new product, but the reality is that they are selling to other customers that are being charged close to three times what I paid. People that don’t have any other way to buy ammo are being taken advantage of, they should be ashamed. My recommendation for ammo buyers is to shop around, you should be able to find ammo at least half of the price they are asking.

I placed an order (Order # **) on March 8th 2021. The order processed and had an estimated delivery date of March 17 2021. As that date came and went, I continued to check the status and nothing changed. It still hasn’t changed on the site, but as of July 7th 2021, the UPS tracking number site says “Delivered on Wednesday, July 7th at 11:00 am at Front Door Delivered to MO US”. Which sounds good but when you consider that I live in Kentucky and haven’t received the package, it’s not good.
Then as many other people have noted in their reviews, customer service is nonexistent. When you call you get no answer, and it just puts you through to a voicemail box that they have clearly said they will not reply to, and when you email them all you get is a prewritten generic reply that addresses nothing. I don’t understand how OP doesn’t have anyone answering phones, or replying to actual emails.. I hope this reaches someone before they make an order, so at least they are warned.

See all the posts below with ONE star and all the empty apologies from OP. I have spent thousands of dollars at this place. They have horrendous customer care. I have received opened mfg packaging and used products. They do not respond to phone calls. Optics Planet will not return voicemails. They do not have a storefront at the address listed on their site either (I know because I drove down there and was rudely told to leave by a general contract security guard). Optics Planet will not expedite orders nor try to expedite orders they committed errors on. If you live near their Aurora, IL shipping warehouse still anticipate a two week shipping period.

Optics Planet's price gouging on ammo has turned me to other options on my ammo needs. They use to have reasonable prices on ammo and now that there is a shortage, they have raised their prices dramatically. A once $25 box of ammo is $40- $50 dollars. Walmart and Sportmans guide don’t have ammo available as often but when they do, the prices are the same as they were before the shortage.

Ordered a sleeping bag for my son's birthday on 6/7/21 and as of 6/22/21 still have not received it nor been notified that it has been shipped. We live in Wisconsin just a couple hours north from their warehouse so it should have been a quick shipment. Never order from them again.

I have been waiting over a year for my order. They periodically notify me it will be 2 or 3 more months. I have asked them to substitute similar ammunition. They never respond but their website shows they get new stock in yet they won't send it. Impossible to get a response out of these people. Had it not been for their ** I could've gotten the merchandise from someone else months earlier. Don't waste your time trying to order from them. Wish I had looked at their reviews earlier. Oh, they also constantly flood your e-mail with spam.

I placed an order for 9mm ammo in November 2020 knowing that it would be a while before delivery. Received an email stating the ammo would be delivered in March 2021. Every month I receive an update pushing the delivery back with the most recent "expected" delivery now in September. I have called several times and even waited on the phone for 75 minutes to talk to a supervisor to no avail. My main complaint is the fact that they are selling 9mm ammo on their website at a higher price then I contracted for but they still show my item "out of stock". I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I placed my 1st order and it seemed like a good deal, not for ammo or guns, or anything that needs background or safety checks. I get charged, and my stuff ships... Great right? Well it was running a little late compared to what the UPS tracking said so I decided to pop onto the UPS site to track it. Turns out they used SurePost and according to UPS they gave the wrong USPS part of the tracking number to UPS. So I reach out and spend just a hair under 15 minutes on the phone on hold, until it dumps you into a voicemailbox that they repeatedly say they will not respond to. So I use chat... I type out the whole situation and Eric O. replies back with:
"We apologize for the inconvenience caused with your package being delayed. Unfortunately, we are not able to start the lost package claim process until the tracking has not moved and has not been delivered for over 15 business days according to the UPS tracking link. If you do not receive the package after that point, please contact us back and we can proceed with that process."
So I assume he misunderstood the issue, after all the tracking information for the USPS part of my shipment states that the item was delivered to a different state, and 4 months before I had placed my order. So I rephrase it... Nope... He restates that they will not even try to figure out what my real tracking number is until I wait 3 full weeks (15 business days) So that isn't happening and I am going to reach out to my CC company and forward a link to all of these horror stories on here as well as the chat transcript.
Do not run, work at, think of opening a business, if your 1st customer service interaction on a customers 1st order is to say "we won't even try to help you for 3 weeks even though it was our staff that gave the wrong tracking information". I recorded UPS throwing them under the bus too, seems they have a reputation for bad tracking info and missing shipments I guess. At least that's how the UPS rep's attitude was when he looked up the account for the shipper (i.e. OpticsPlanet). I really regret placing a 2nd order with them. I never place a second order with a company until I see how the 1st one goes... but I broke my own rule and unfortunately gave them another sale before knowing how terrible their staff is.

This is the case with your assigned tracking number. Unfortunately, a lost package claim can only be filed after 15 business days of no movement per carrier’s policy. The carrier will not accommodate this claim any earlier than the allotted time. We may assist you with a claim if the package is still not delivered after 15 days of no movement.

Updated on 06/03/2021: I ordered a scope and was given a delivery date that then changed and changed again. Now I am waiting endlessly for my scope to be delivered. Have called customer service repeatedly and they have told me they shipped the product so it is not their responsibility!!! Optics Planet will not stand behind their product and I am out the large amount of money invested to buy this scope. They did tell me that in the event the scope gets returned to them, they will begin to process a refund which could take 2 weeks or more from the time they request it.
Original Review: Ordered and received a tracking number in reasonable time (approx. 1 day) with a promised delivery date, then that changed - now almost a week later I still have no products and an ever changing delivery date. No answers, the money has been charged to my credit card. Would prefer to buy local in the future. If the issue is with shipping, then maybe a different and more reliable shipper would be a good answer.

I ordered ammo from Optics MONTHS ago, not major, a SMALL ORDER. They sent me updates pushing the ship date out further and further, at first. Then I contacted them to INCREASE my order because I knew ammo was getting hard to get but still, I just wanted 3-4 boxes. They confirmed the change but I've NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN! They have never bothered to even TRY to send me my order, partial order or anything. HORRIBLE company and customer service, don't tell me they have not gotten at least ONE BOX in that they could have shipped to me of 9mm ammo! Lots of jibber jabber, NO FOLLOW THRU with this company, what a JOKE! I'm passing on my experience to every gun owner I know...they will buy elsewhere!

I ordered products that were backordered 29 days, over six months ago. Still haven't received them, and their new estimate is that I should have them in just over a year. Their customer service is unapologetic, and their site is still selling the same items (now no longer backordered and supposedly shipping tomorrow) but at higher prices. This means they have items they could ship to fulfill my order that they already agreed to, but are choosing instead to sell it to other people to make more money (instead of honoring their old commitments). Steer clear of these guys, unethical all the way, will screw their customers any day to make a buck, and customer service that isn't even sorry about it. Skip them and go with someone more reputable, and less dishonest.

I have purchased several times from Optics Planet and their subsidiary Dvor.com. My experience has been similar with both of these companies. First, let me say their prices are good. The positive ends there. The negatives. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They DONT RETURN VOICE MAILS. They LIE ABOUT SHIPPING TIMES AND RETURN TIMES. I ordered 2 items and they sent me an email stating the item was shipped. Six (6) days later, I checked the tracking number and USPS hadn't received the item from them. I returned 3 items, and they received them on 4/9/21. They sent me an email stating they would issue a refund within 10 business days. 14 business days later, nothing. I called and the agent lied to me telling me it was 14 business days from the email, but the email said from date of receipt.
THIS BUSINESS HAS TERRIBLE FEEDBACK FOR WHAT IS IMHO THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN A LONG TIME. If you want a good price with a lot of hassle, don't need your item for about a month, and don't care about deceptive and unfair business trade practices, then this is your company. Oh and when you do return items, they only give you a store credit, so you're stuck with the same revolving door nightmares. BUYERS - YOU HAVE BEEN FORWARNED!

I placed an order on April 5, an in-stock Leupold scope and mount, the website stated 1-4 days to process, and no charge till it shipped. I was charged immediately when I placed the order, however, it took till the 13th to process, and create the label for shipping. Unfortunately the package never showed has having been picked up by either the USPS or the seller's website. Called on the 20th to inquire why my order still showed that it was awaiting pick-up. The first person I talked to offered no help, and without looking into anything, stated I couldn't do anything until it had been 15 days since order was ready to ship, said bye and hung up. Called back and received better service from a different person, same 15 day policy but offered me a 10% refund for my troubles, and handled the call in a courteous manner.
It is now the 28th of April but they are so busy with customer service phone calls that I was asked to leave a voicemail, and they would call me back, despite the message on the hold music that states they Will Not return voicemails at this time. I realize there are serious delays with orders, but a little upfront honesty about processing times, plus not charging me immediately, after their promise not to, and decent customer service could have made the experience a little more bearable. I had planned to order a spotting scope and range finder from them, as well, but I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I ordered some ammo off their website, at the time I placed this order, it showed item was in stock and would ship out to me within 1-7 days. It's been 2 weeks and now they tell me ammo orders have been delayed further. They won't even give me an estimate on how much longer!! Take my money then screw me is the kind of attitude I got.

Placed a small order of in stock items (4 items), on 4/10/20. On 4/20 received an email saying it shipped, as of 4/27 still hasn't arrived. They are less than 5 hours away. Tracking number says it's still in Illinois. Called customer service. Was told they'd look into it, but would take at least 15 more days. I've ordered from them several times and the shipping time has always been terrible, but not this bad. This will be my last order with them. They aren't the only place to order from, but by far the worse.

Ordered a product that was shown to be in stock and Checking Availability showed it would ship in 23 - 32 days. Different colors of the same product were all on backorder. A couple of days after the order was placed it changed to 100 plus days. I understand that things happen. I could wait. 45 days later, it shows shipping to be delayed for over 250 days from when it was ordered.
I got on the site and found another configuration that again showed in stock and shipping in 23-32 days. A different color on backorder but not the one being ordered. So I place the order. The next day this new order shows shipping over 200 days as well now. Well, I go back to the item on the site and it is still showing that it is in stock and shipping in 23-32 days. It is not backordered or nothing stating that shipping will be delayed.
So I reach out to Customer Service. Just wanting to understand what happened. And to let them know that something may be broken. Yes I am frustrated. I explain the situation. The Agents gives me the song and dance that the manufacturer is behind. I explain that my complaint has nothing to do with that. It has to do with the Bait and Switch of telling me and other people right at this very moment that you can ship in 23-32 days when you cannot. Agent did what he was trained to do and towed the company line. etc...
However, it did not resolve anything. I am sure this Agents leadership at Optics Planet has no interest in knowing that they are either misrepresenting themselves (nice way of saying lying) or a system is broken and not updating correctly (assuming they have integrity). Due to the Agent not offering to pass on info, or unable to offer any solution as my complaint was the misrepresentation. The culture there is for the Customer Service people to just be a barrier between the customers and leadership. So just shut up and give us your money.

This company has its BBB accreditation suspended....enough said. Promises 3 to 5 day shipping. Quickly creates a shipping label and charges your credit card. Does not allow order cancellations after shipping label is created. UPS verified they have not received package for shipment. 9 days and think I'm hosed. PS- this website receive compensation from Optic Planet.

They tell you that they are working hard to get my order to me but have not shipped it out in over 7 business days! No tracking number. April 14. 2021. Customer service was no help after 10 minutes on hold either!

I ordered an "in stock" complete 45 acp upper. It took almost a month to receive the package. All I received was a barrel not the complete upper. After being in hold for over a 1/2 hour I was told it would be fixed immediately. Now 2 months later and multiple emails I haven't received an answer and have a $580 barrel that was supposed to be a complete upper. Look up this companies reviews before you buy. Especially on the BBB. I wouldn't recommend ordering from OpticsPlanet.com or any subsidiaries.

I returned a pair of expensive binoculars to Optics Planet. According to UPS tracking they received my package containing the binoculars on Monday March 8, 2021. They were sent in the original packing with all of the accessories in new condition. I used the shipping label they provided with the return summary inside the box. It's been FOUR WEEKS since the package was delivered to Optics Planet. I have tried calling them on 3 different occasions without success. I have also contacted them with written messages. My credit card still does not show a reimbursement.

I found ammunition I have been searching for everywhere available for backorder on this website. Since most companies don't allow backordering this product, I was willing to pay the higher prices at OpticsPlanet and willing to wait as long as necessary for this item to ship. I got an order confirmation email as per usual, then a few days later I got an email asking me to correct my shipping address. I confirmed that my shipping address was accurate as listed on my order (my physical address, not a PO Box as required by law for ammunition).
A few days after I responded, I got another email that my order had been cancelled without any reason listed for the cancellation. I responded to sales@opticsplanet.com to ask why my order was cancelled. I told them my address was listed correctly in the original order, and also confirmed correctly. I also told them I was aware the items were on backorder and that there is no guarantee when they might ship, but wanted my order to stand or be reinstated. Sales responded to me that I should take the matter up with rm@opticsplanet.com. This seemed weird, since the cancellation email came from Sales. They can cancel my order but don't know why?
Not sure what RM stands for, but I forwarded the email chain to them with all my order information. I asked once again why my order had been cancelled and if I could reorder these items on backorder. No response for a week. So I emailed again, this time including Sales and RM both on the email. Since RM never replied, I was hoping sales might be able to help me at least get a response from the other department. Days go by, and no response from RM again. Sales sends the same response as before that I should contact RM.
At this point, it becomes obvious that this company is incapable of any semblance of decent customer service. The departments obviously don't communicate with one another. RM department either doesn't exist or just refuses to respond to even the most basic inquiry. I still have no answer as to why my order was cancelled, and zero faith that I could ever successfully purchase any products from this company in the future. They define awful customer service. Don't waste your time trying to give them your business!

Besides their shipping one of the slowest in the marketplace. They are the worst Company To Do Business With because if you have to return something you will wait more than at least 45 days or more before you get credit. I even tried "store credit" which Opticsplanet highly recommends and the fastest way to get credit back on refunds. Well.... more than 30 days and they still haven't issued a store credit. They received the item in 3 days and acknowledged the return and states they will post credit in my account. I've contacted customer service and they send you an automated response regarding their credit return policy which is FALSE. If you can find your item or product somewhere else do not get it from optics planet.

Ordered Sky Watcher HEQ5 Mount S30400 on 3/18. Ordered a telescope for the mount on 3/20. Called twice to confirm the mount, most needed part, was indeed in stock and the HEQ5 Mount would be shipped to me. I was told, yes it was in stock and would be shipped to me. I confirmed, nobody beat me. Yes my order was first I would receive the mount. I was assured they were just back logged and trying to catch up. Days later no status change. Called a second time, they are working on it, the support person asked would you like a manager to check? I asked for a manager be notified I was assured that would be done. No movement on the order 3 days later. Saturday the telescope ships??? Backlogged but an order submitted two days later ships? No first come first serve? Even for orders to the same person? I need them both to use either.
Submitted an email request through their website, calling isn't helping, I have nothing to lose. I got a form email response, to be expected, it was Sunday. Monday, no contact other than, a second form email. Info about we are having delays. You aren't having delays, you shipped an order for me. Delays doesn't explain shipping out of order. That doesn't explain how an order ships first that was submitted two days later.
I question if they even had/have the mount. I understand Covid, is causing delays, I've had it, it's bad news. What I don't understand is how an item that was ordered, confirmed verbally twice as being in stock, hasn't shipped, but my second order has shipped. Orders aren't shipped as they are received? No first come first server? Very disappointing. The other two vendors I was looking at to supply HEQ5 are now sold out. Most sites now have a backorder of 3 to 6 months for the mount. I will not buy from them again and would recommend them to nobody. They may not have the items you order.

Ordered a spotting scope on 1/4/2021. Amount debited from my account. Later informed that shipping would be delayed by several weeks so cancelled order on 2/10/2021. Even though I cancelled the order it was shipped so I returned it. Received notification on 2/27/2021 that it was received and that a refund could take up to 3 weeks. After almost 4 weeks, I still had not received a refund so called the company.
And informed them that I planned to file a complaint with credit card company. Customer service person was polite and after several long holds was told that he would call me back later in the day. He followed through with a call and informed me that I was going to get an "early" refund which is a joke since they had my money since 1/4/2021. I would not do business with this company again as their shipping and communication systems are very slow.

I placed 2 orders October 2020, for 9mm and 223. Neither order has been shipped. When I placed this order, the cart said in stock. Still today, it says waiting on item. Very disappointed. Will not use.

I made an order for ammunition and added a T-shirt to the order, the T-shirt never shipped, it has a tracking number, but for 3 weeks has said that a label was created and UPS is waiting to receive the package. When I asked for a refund, they said it was shipped and provided me with a tracking number that was incorrect, the tracking number was for the ammunition, even though I clearly said T-shirt.
2nd email, I asked for a refund for the shirt. No refund, this time they said it was shipped and gave me the correct tracking number (that I already had) that still says that a shipping label was created 3 weeks ago, but the item has not shipped. You cannot get through on the phone to them and they even say that they do not respond to voicemails. Emails only get answered with the same thing, your item was shipped and it takes them 2 -3 days to answer emails with useless information. They will not refund my money. I had to go to my bank and dispute a $10 charge on my debit card. They'd rather loose a repeat customer, than to just look into a missing shipment.

I made 3 orders from this company from September through December. At first all said they would be shipped in January. They have been pushed back multiple times. Now saying June. I tried contacting them multiple times and get told their distributors have backlogs and they will ship when they get them. I’ve since ordered through **. Similar prices much better service.

I ordered a rifle scope one evening. The next morning I canceled the order because I found a different scope that was better. For the next 3 days they reported that the order was being processed. I tried to cancel the order every day for the next 4 days but they sent it anyway. I returned the rifle scope as soon as I got it. They received the rifle scope back on February the 9th. It is now March 16th and I have not received a refund. I just called today and they told me that they were about a week away from even processing my return. Their customer service is terrible. I will never do business with them again!

If I said this was a horrible company to deal with that would be a compliment. I placed my order on February 25th the company is located less than an hour from my house. I was thrilled when I got the first notification that my first item had shipped on the 26th. On the 1st I reached out because they were only an hour away and it should not take five days for something to be delivered from the Mail. The post office showed the tracking item had not yet been picked up, but a label had been created. I was emailing both OpticsPlanet.com and the local postmaster.
When I finally sent opticsplanet the email from my postmaster that shows they had not yet picked it up ironically it left and shipped that day and was here the next day. The other item I ordered, package of targets, still has not shipped. I reached out to opticsplanet requesting a refund and was told “we can't give you your money back because it's in the final stages of getting ready to ship”. Keep in mind it's been 12 days to put an item in a box and throw a label on it. I could understand if the product had to be manufactured, but they are distributor, all they do is put a piece of material in a box that somebody else has produced. I wish I had never done business with this organization and would caution others from doing business with them as well.

Ordered Lantac bcg Nov 27 2020, 2 weeks after order received email saying late Jan delivery. Product was in stock multiple places at time of order, after email none available and this was a Christmas gift. Continued emails moving out delivery to April 27 2021. But they still will sell you today the product on their website, knowing you will not receive it in a timely fashion. If .... I receive my order Apr 27 as they say that’s 5 MONTHS after taking my money.
They could place pressure on Lantac and support their customers by stating on their website that will not sell any more Lantac products until Lantac fills previously placed orders! Their response is consistent due to COVID, and high volume and transportation issues some orders are slow. This is not a volume issue, this is an HONOR issue, you don’t continue to take sales on products that will not be delivered.

I placed an order in Nov of 2020 for $1,000 worth of ammo and made sure to only select items that were in stock. After competing purchase I received a shipment date of 1-7 business days. Since then my order has been pushed out 10 times and now my shipment date is June of 2021 (7 months) and one item says March of 2022! This is ridiculous! There is no way it should take that long if they aren't putting other customer's orders in front of mine. Get your stuff together Optics Planet!

I ordered from their website and then later found out I had to “Verify” my credit card before the order was placed. I had to call and was left on hold for an hour trying to verify. I then reached out via email. Days later someone called and had to receive permission to charge my card so I could verify the amount. After that, I then had to call again (on hold for another hour) to give them the authorization amount on the card. Finally the order was processed. My item was supposed to finally arrive a few days later. When checking the tracking number I realized UPS did not drop off the package at my house because they had to have a signature.
I called UPS and explained that I work all day and cannot wait at home all day waiting on a package. UPS informed me that the OpticsPlanet restricted the item getting left at home. When asking if I could pick up the package at the UPS store I was informed OpticsPlanet restricted this too!!! When calling OpticsPlanet to figure out a solution (on hold again) I was told that the only solution would be to wait for them to receive the package back from UPS and then resend without signature verification. No thank you! Give me my refund and I will shop elsewhere. Worst experience I have ever had shopping online.

Bought 2 Rise Armament drop in triggers from them 1 came complete with hold down pins, screws and tools and 1 came with just the trigger. Reached out to them about it and nothing was done for 2 weeks. Had to email them back to get an update on the situation. They said to contact the manufacturer and pay out of pocket for the missing parts. How is this right?!? Poor quality control on outgoing product. If you buy from them, just remember if it doesn't come complete, they will make you pay for the missing parts. Scam company.

Bought a scope 12/27/20 paid to ship 2-3 Day. Ship 10 days later. Gift with purchase was changed to a Lower Value and Not Wanted. Tried to contact Co. Sent messages, tried to call 15 times No answers. Got return label shipped back in 10 days. Package was received 1/21/21 at OpticsPlanet. No response from company. No credit from return. After no Credit in 6 weeks, I had to file with my credit card co. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I placed an order for ammunition, and paid $20 extra for expedited shipping. Now, the shipment made it one state away from them and is lost. UPS says "delayed trailer, check back later." Which means, it's lost. Contacted them and their answer is that AFTER 15 BUSINESS days (read 18 days), then they will start to address it. I am contacting my credit card company to file a complaint.

When I ordered from OpticsPlanet they stated they would ship between 1 to 7 days but they lied. This company charges your credit card soon after you place your order knowing full well that their orders won't ship as stated on their site. It's obvious that they care nothing about providing true Customer Service and it's also obvious that they don't employ enough personnel to handle the order load that they receive. Order from them only if receiving your shipment in a timely manner doesn't matter to you!

If I could give this company 0 stars I would do so in a heartbeat! I wish I would have seen all the other reviews before I placed my order with them. I waited week after week and my items were not shipped. I contacted customer service only to get copy and pasted responses. Promise after promise that they would ship nothing. Promises of escalation = 0 results. So I finally cancel my order and they refused!! Mind you it wasn't even shipped!! They said their system doesn't work that way! I had to file a dispute with PayPal! Submitted my evidence. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere. All of these terrible reviews are accurate. Don't make the mistake we all made. There are far better companies out there. This company is not worth it.

Placed order on 02 February and at 10 February he led order status and saw orders requires your attention. I did contact customer service which took several hours the same day and was told they had e mailed me and I needed to answer a few questions. I did receive the e mail and answered the questions the same day. As on 12 February there was no change in the order status, I again contacted the customer service and informed that I had sent the answers to their questions and was told, "Ok it would be passed on and the order would be processed on by 15 February." Heckled on 15 and 16 February and again no change in the order status and cancelled the order as I found the same item at other shops with guaranteed delivery on 20 February. I find the processing and customer service from OpticsPlanet as absolutely inefficient and will not place any future orders with this company. There are many more reliable providers.

Purchased scope. Not told at purchase of required govt forms. Got order confirmation email immediately, got email to verify account. They sent 6 advertisement emails over next week while I waited for shipment. After 7 days and no scope I checked account to find "order needs your attention message." Online chat refused to tell me the issue. 45 min in phone queue and was told I was sent two emails with required forms. They were not sent, I have all the ads and other emails from them. They then resent and I got it instantly. They not only never sent but then lied about it. The incompetence is amazing. Why not inform customer that product comes with additional required forms at time or purchase, why hide that?? The delays caused me to miss out on a night boar hunt, money wasted. Buy from someone, anyone else!!

If you are thinking of ordering from this company, don’t! They take orders for items that are back-logged without telling you. Then when you call, you get hostile customer service. They make you wait 15 min to get someone live and that person hangs up on you if you are upset. Their way to address your frustration is simply to cancel your order that you have been waiting on for weeks.

I placed an order on January 3rd, its been 27 days and they haven't shipped my order. Once they get your money then good luck getting it back. Forget about trying to call them, you'll be on hold for about 17 minutes and then you can leave a voice mail they will never respond to. I email them every day and have been replied to twice. Once to tell me that a supervisor has been alerted to my issue so my order can be shipped ONE OF THESE DAYS. That's actually what they said. The other was today to inform me they are going to refund my shipping cost. Well I sure appreciate it but I would appreciate it even more if I could get the item I paid for almost a month ago. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM OPTICS PLANET. No company anywhere ever is this far behind on shipping orders.

Ordered placed on Aug 11, 2020 and I was told it was on backorder. No problem. Jan. 6th, 2021 I asked for a refund. STILL GETTING THE RUN AROUND!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They keep telling me they need to check with their satellite office to make sure the order was canceled. Twice I have received an email saying they are still waiting to hear back from THEIR OFFICE! Only reason they got one star was because I had to give them one to rate them.

Ordered a Vortex optic on Jan 5, 2021, as of Jan 23 (18 days) the item still has NOT been shipped. Phone calls to customer support are not answered. Emails are not answered. Voice mails are not returned. Finally reached support through chat and was told the reason for the delay is that the warehouse is behind, but they can't do anything to help. Again it has been 18 days since ordered and still not shipped!!! Don't waste your time with this company!! Horrible customer support!!!

I ordered some parts for a few guns on January 11 and January 14th. Items were all listed in stock. I received an email a few days later stating that one of the items was now estimated to be 1-4 months for shipping. The grip I bought has been shipped and received already. I have no status on the optic I have ordered as of today. It still says processing when the item was listed in stock. I will be shocked if I even receive the items that I am waiting for. The customer service is a joke! You can't even get communication back from them. This will probably be the last time I order anything from this website!

I have placed several orders with this company. They have had issues with about every 3rd order. The latest order showed to be in stock but once the order was placed it went into backorder. I had to check the website to find this out. They never contacted me to inform me of any changes in status. Several months later I checked the website and saw they showed the item back in stock and were selling it again. I called and was told it was being shipped immediately. After a week I called and was told there was a shipping delay and it would go out in a day or two. After 3 weeks of me calling they gave me around $14 off a $150 item and I was told it would go out by Friday.
Almost two weeks later I got an email saying I was being refunded. I called and was told they were researching the issue and would call me back the next day. I did not receive a call. They do not respond to any emails and are very difficult to get ahold of by any means. I would NOT recommend doing business with this company.

I ordered two items from them that were supposed to be in stock, three weeks later I get an email that both are on backorder. Whatever, so I canceled the order. A week after cancelling they tried to charge my card for the full amount, despite the fact I have the cancellation confirmation in my possession. Don't waste your time, go anywhere else. On a side note, I ordered the same stuff from Walmart and had it two days later. If you need outdoor equipment, go somewhere else.

I ordered an optic combo kit Vortex Strikefire 2 with 3x magnifier for a decent deal from Optics Planet. Did not save me a ton of money but it was definitely cheaper than most sites. Here's the problem, I ordered it on Dec 28, 2020 and as of today Jan 20 it still had not been shipped out. Every time I contacted them and verified that it was definitely in stock they would say it will be shipping soon/within a few days. Their website says 1-7 days even 10 days at worst for in stock items and I am at 22-23 days by this point.
As I said I verified that the item was in stock and not backordered etc. If it was backordered I would have understood about waiting. This company made me so angry that they could not get their act together and ship my item out that I filed a PayPal claim and requested a refund which I just received. I could not cancel on their website because they conveniently mark as shipped on the day of purchase. I will take my business elsewhere gladly and I suggest you do also unless you want to deal with lies and frustration!

Covid has caused delay..blah...blah....that was 8 months ago. Time to adapt and overcome. No reason an in stock item should take 2 to 3 weeks to ship at this point. I could literally drive to the warehouse from across the country stopping at every tourist attraction between here and there. Doing all of this before you can pull an item off the shelf and toss it in a bin at the P.O.?

I purchased a CAA Micro Roni on December 21st 2020. I was told it may be a few days but it would ship soon. I have been calling now for 2 weeks and I always get the same answer. "We're sorry but there is nothing we can do so you'll have to be patient." Last week, I was told the order would be expedited (they apparently don't know the meaning of that term) and it was supposed to have shipped last week. I called again yesterday and again they have no way of ensuring my order will be going out anytime soon. It would be helpful for them to stop offering 2 day shipping while the rest of the orders wait in limbo. My merchandise is supposedly there and just needs to be boxed and a shipping label attached. So, there is definitely an issue with their warehouse and the management ability to prioritize orders that have been sitting while others go right out the door.
I ordered another item last week and it's already on its way. How does that happen? I wouldn't buy anything from this site unless you're prepared to wait forever for them to get their poo together and ship items by first ordered first shipped and they need to suspend all 2 day shipping until they catch up with the orders that are never fulfilled due to their incompetence! This will be my last order with Optics planet and I will buy from anyone else even if an item is cheaper. It's not worth the lies and stupidity that comes with dealing with these clowns...

Ordered this product 4 months ago. Didn’t receive an update email or text stating the products deliver was delayed. Order on Oct 2020 and it’s now Jan 2021 and still the product hasn’t shipped. I requested a cancellation of my order 3 weeks ago and still nothing has been communicated to me. I tried calling their customer service and no one answers after waiting on hold for 40 mins at a time. I have left voicemails explaining the reason for my calls and still no one returns my calls. Stay away from this company. They are terrible. I would have given them 0 stars if I could.

I paid for a high-end telescope eyepiece, which the Optics Planet website indicated was available. That was Dec. 14. My credit card was charged. but the item never shipped (no tracking # was provided either). I have contacted them multiple times, and have been told that the item was not in stock, and still isn't. It has been 5 weeks now, and I have no idea when, or if, I will receive what I paid for. I have asked for a refund, and so far they have not honored that request. Their website says that they will not charge for items that are not in stock and ready to ship, but clearly that is a lie. It is difficult to get a response from customer service, as others here have noted. I will not order from them again, and just hope that I still receive what I paid for at some point.

I purchased a scope levelling kit from this company on 11th Dec 2020 and still have not received my goods as yet (16th Jan 2021). They have taken a small amount of money from me as a verification that my account is legit but other than that any customer service officer I speak to cannot give me any real reason as to why I haven't received my goods. The last 'story' I was given was that the tool was being reviewed for it's export legitimacy, which I've researched and it has no restrictions and is frequently shipped by other companies in the U.S. to Australia. DO NOT deal with this company, since my issue arose, I have looked into OpticsPlanet and they have a very shady reputation to say the least. Spend your hard earned dollars wisely elsewhere.

This company is obviously a scam, & the recorded messages pleading for your patience are just a coverup. I ordered something 15 days ago & it never shipped, & I tried to cancel it 4 times & never got a confirmation. When I call customer service, I get bumped off the line. My emails were never responded to. I see by all the other reviews that I’m not the only one - this seems like their regular practice. No decent business actually operates like that, there is something fishy going on here. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!

It's been over a month since ordering 2 products that showed as in stock. They still show as in stock as well as show 1 to 6 day shipping time in the description. They take several days to respond to emails and only have canned responses: see below: "All items marked as “shipped” are in stock and have been set aside for you to be boxed and sent out for delivery." We all know that shipped means it's on the way to the customer and not still sitting on a shelf - if they even have the product. I got their "chat" service once and it's just as bad, all they will tell you is they're really busy. If I ever get what I ordered I'll be shocked. If I ever get a refund I'll be shocked. SCAM SITE - the only reason I selected 1 star is I could not post with 0 stars.

I placed an order for 2 items (both listed as in stock) on 12 December. I received a confirmation on the 19th. This was the first red flag. Funny thing is, their promos come almost daily in my email inbox now, they have zero issues advertising. Checked my order status and it showed that my items were in processing with a huge disclaimer about how delayed they are because of COVID-19. At the time, I didn’t worry about it as it was close to the holidays and because I am usually a very patient and understanding person. After a while I started to think that maybe the items I ordered weren’t in stock and that I ordered via an inventory error. I emailed them and in their response, I was assured that my items existed, but they haven’t been processed for shipping. The email also stated the items should be ready to ship later that week.
I emailed them again earlier this month and was told they were going to contact their logistics department to see why it hadn’t shipped yet, also assured my items physically existed and that the system has them located etc. Today I emailed them again demanding a definitive answer as to why I have to wait over 30 days for my items (listed as in stock) to even ship. We will see what happens, but right now I am likely to never shop here again. I will be recommending that people take their business elsewhere immediately if they come back to me trying to explain that my items were back ordered or something like that. This is false advertisement and extremely poor business.
To anyone reading this from OpticsPlanet, you need to list your products accurately if you want to do business online. The COVID 19 excuse only goes so far. Look on this site, there’s scores of people with similar experiences. It seems you do not care and you are happy to take our money and keep us in the dark. This is absolutely terrible business.
I could have driven to a gun shop 15 minutes down the road, but the prices on this website were lower, this seems like a trap and it borders on predatory practice. I should have just gone to my local dealer and paid the extra $25-50 I was going to save by doing business at opticsplanet. At least then I would have had my items last month.

I ordered a restricted "blue gun" from OpticsPlanet and filled out all the paperwork that was required. After multiple emails, phone calls, hours on hold and no response from their research department my order was canceled due to "lack of response to their multiple attempts" to contact me. I own a licensed custom holster manufacturing business and buy training guns all the time, both restricted and non-restricted and have never had this much trouble with any vendor.

I recently attempted to make a purchase of 5 items with OpticsPlanet. All items were in stock when I made the order. The very next day I received an email stating that one of the items I ordered was not in stock. The other 4 items I purchased were dependent upon on the 1 item not in stock. They stated in the email they would be sending me the other 4 items (now of absolute no use to me), perform an adjustment on the bill to reflect only the 4 items in stock, and then later send me the other item when it finally arrives in 1-4 months! They would also take 5% off my next order for the "inconvenience" of it all. Never mind the fact that I received more of a discount (9%) on that order by using RetailMeNot and Honey coupons in my web browser. I guess they really splurge and make up for big inconveniences by taking someone to Sizzler.
I attempted to cancel this order by phone (left a message because it was Sunday) and through chat to no avail. The customer service representative in the chat would not cancel the order. THE ORDER HAD NOT EVEN LEFT FOR SHIPPING AND THEY WOULD NOT CANCEL IT. That adjustment to my bill has not been made, they are still charging me the full amount, and I have disputes filed with all my funding sources for this order for a fraudulent charge. Piece of advice, don't do business with them. They are awful and do not listen to their customers.

I placed an order for Vortex Red Dot Scope on November 25, 2020. It was scheduled for delivery Dec 3, 2020. By Dec 22, 2020 I had NOT received the item and requested a cancellation and refund. On Dec 22, 2020 by another email I was told the item had already been returned to them and it could take 3 to 4 weeks to process a refund. On Dec 23, 2020, I was told the last package update was December 12, 2020 and the item was at the USPS facility in Aurora Illinois. I was also told I have to wait for the time to be returned to them before I can get a refund. If the item is not returned to them by the 27th of December I have to wait another 15 days before they can file a lost package claim.
The item is obviously lost. I contacted USPS and was told they have no record of the item. Opticsplanet refuses to refund to me the amount I paid back in November 2020. Every time I contact them the response is the same: "We do apologize for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you need further assistance. Have a great day!"

Lousy first experience - will be my last. I bought a grip for my rifle which was “in stock” but then became “delayed” after I bought it. I tried to reach customer service by phone but there’s literally no one who picks up a phone there. I was forced to cancel the order online which I did and bought it through a local rifle supply shop in my area - same day service there! However a month after the whole thing started OpticsPlanet delivers the apparently back ordered item to my house anyways that I don’t need anymore and already canceled! Don’t do business with these people unless you like being run around in circles.

Horrible online shopping experience! Placed order online and received confirmation email. Four days later receive a second email directing to verify billing and shipping addresses. Customer service not open on the weekend, finally speak with representative two days later after over 20 minutes on hold. Assured that addresses were verified and told that one item (in stock at time of order) was now on backorder after six days elapsed between placing order and OpticsPlanet.com finally processing said order.
Items finally arrive twelve emails, one phone call, and 18 days after placing original order. Check credit card statement and overcharged for credit card verification (supposed to be applied to order and/or refunded) and another, unknown, amount. Emailed customer service and told charges were sales tax not included in original invoice. Save yourself aggravation and headache by ordering from another retailer. Will never patronize OpticsPlanet.com again!

I know it is close to year end, but the other item in my order shipped in 1-2 weeks but the other item is taking forever. I am writing this review to add to the list of negative complaints about shipping. I’m not a complainer, I would just like the product I ordered. My experience has been the same as the others. My item was in stock, I called them on the phone and they verified this before I ordered. They took my money, and 10 days later item has not shipped. It says on their website, in stock items ship in 1 to 2 days, that is obviously a lie. I have not been able to reach them on the phone now that I have paid. Their chat line gives generic answers. “We are working tirelessly to fill all open orders “. “We have greatly expanded our team to meet order demands, please be patient”. Sound familiar?? I have doubts I’ll ever receive my product or money back. Don’t be a fool, order from someone else, this was my first time, never again.

I wish I had read the reviews about this website before I placed an order. I ordered a telescope I assumed was ready to be shipped out. Even paid an extra surcharge for 3-5 day delivery. 20 min After completing the order I get an email saying "we have an update on your order" "Estimated delivery time 7-9 weeks". If I can get an email 20min after placing an order that an item will take 7-9 weeks, I should be able to see that while checking out and paying money. The email then goes on to say "for your inconvenience, we will offer you 5% off your next in-stock purchase". HAHA what a joke!
Called the customer service line and it was busy beyond hell, so I called the line that says I want to place a new order and magically got through. The lady basically said it was my fault for not looking at the availability, even though I got an "update email" explaining the change in my order. After looking at these reviews as well as Facebook comments (before they filter them out) It seems this website is not clear on their processing times, shipping times, and availability. Again, stay away! It's 2020, websites that operate like this shouldn't be in business, when I swipe my card on a random website, I am giving you trust that you haven't earned. and then you take full advantage of it. My mistake. Won't happen again.

Terrible company/customer service. Ordered a flashlight ($90.00) for work and was sent a soft gun case ($35.00). Called and was told I need to do a return, print a label and go to a UPS store to ship the gun case back to them. Upon them receiving the gun case they will start the return process then ship my flashlight. So they are holding my paid for flashlight as hostage until they get the gun case back. I offered to buy the gun case so I can get my flashlight for work. Was told I cannot do that. Anyways I shipped the gun case back and now received an email stating returns are taking 3 weeks.
This whole incident was not my fault, yet I am the one paying the price. Any properly run company would have said, "It is our mess up, we will ship your flashlight out immediately, and once you receive it if you would like to you can ship the gun case back to us or keep it as a gift due to our mess up". But nope. This company holds your paid for item as hostage due to their incompetence. Then when you send an email advising of your displeasure they send an email back trying to be smart ** and reply: “We are truly sorry to hear you received an incorrect product, due to the thousands of different products we store at our facility; rarely some incorrect items may unintentionally get shipped”. Thousands of different products, that’s it? Bass Pro and Cabelas have millions in their distribution center and from the 100 times I have ordered from them I never had one mistake. Will never buy from OpticsPlanet again.

I purchased a product on 11/18/20. The Optics Planet website advertises free returns and refunds so I figured no worries. The product was not what I wanted so I returned it using their issued RMA. I received an email from them that they got the return on 11/27/20. Since then nothing. I've tried contacting them 3 times on their chat system and was cut off. I've sent 3 emails and received an automated response that they would reply within 24 hours. No response. In my opinion they are lying about issuing refunds. They have my money and I do not have the product they promised to refund. Form your own opinion.

I have ordered all types of gear from this company over and over again. Being fooled every time, when they say the product is in stock. It took 3 months to get 3 items after I was told it was being "shipped". I have been stuck in "ship" mode for the third and last time now. I am actually still waiting for something that was supposedly in stock, but only received half the order. I am still waiting, while the website now says "processing order". It just went backwards. Very bad management. Untrue "in stock" statements. I hope you're not in a rush.

I ordered my “in stock” products that were listed as shipping in 1-5 days back on November 25th, and still they have yet to ship. An email on Nov 27th stated the items were “preparing to be shipped” and checking the status through the link provided gave me a vague “processing” message. When I called to check the automated system told me the items were “at the warehouse being packed for shipping.” Now the product availability on the website is listed as 6-12 months. This whole things seems suspect.
Orders from other online vendors I executed the same day were notified as shipped with tracking codes and expected to be delivered within the next few days. Opticsplanet.com never answers their phone, or emails. They don’t provide any notice of what is an obvious delay which makes me think they don’t have the items at all and are going to drag this out for months like they have for so many others. After reading so many negative reviews about this place I regret that I did not avoid them.

Pathetic service and even worse customer service!!! I ordered a product on October 26th. Order status was "IN STOCK" said 3-5 days to ship. 10 days later notice that shipping was delayed. Tried multiple attempts and hours trying to talk to someone. Finally the most "uneducated derelict" lied to me about product being in stock. Thought I was going to be dealing with a reputable company, my bad for not digging deeper into the latest reviews. Items ordered on 12 November, money taken from my account 13 November. "Items are shipped...here is your USPS tracking number". GREAT, except it has stayed in USPS awaiting shipment since. Tried calling...actually got thru and was told that she would see what she could do on her side...that is without asking me for my order number before placing me into the forever hold canned music. MANY emails met with the robot response..."call USPS to see what they did with the order", "sorry, we have to wait 15 business days to start a lost package procedure..." on and on.
Same as other here, you took my money, immediately placed a tracking number on the order and because they did, I cannot cancel. Next step is to the card company to begin a fraudulent claim against them. At ALL COSTS...avoid this company like the plague, customer service does NOT exist, but the ability to take your money within hours of placing your order sure does.

Many of their items are listed as in stock but they aren’t actually in stock. After you order it, it switches to item in order and the expected driver date will be 3 months later. Even it they have it in stock, it’ll take weeks to ship. I made an order that I made sure was over 50 for free shipping. One item was oos but they never said that. Then they wouldn’t ship the rest of my order until the item came in. I canceled the item so they’d ship the rest of the stuff I had been waiting weeks on, and then they charged me shipping with no notice because I cancel the one item they weren’t going to get in for months and I wanted the rest of the things I had ordered. Wish I had gone with someone else in the first place because OpticsPlanet has been nothing but a headache.

OpticsPlanet is the worse for shipping. They give you one excuse after another. They don’t tell you if an item is not in stock, but will take your money. I recently purchased one item and after a couple of days of not getting a shipped notice I sent them an email asking what is the delay. They responded my order is being processed, and will ship soon. Later that day I received an message from them stating “Good news, we are now shipping within 1-3 days”! That was 5 days ago, and I still haven’t received a “Shipped” notice from them. Search around, you’ll find your item from another more reliable vendor.

Ordered a telescope and a lens accessory in early October.. Telescope was listed as available in stock... Smaller part on backorder. Very specifically told on phone sales rep to not hold order... Ship separately... Small part shipped recently ...Larger one still says ordered... Yet site showed more items available on the telescope. 2 days later... Now weeks until available... More than 30 days.. No followup... Phone auto disconnects at 15 mins... Left 2 voicemails and emailed cust service...Price has significantly jumped on this product that I paid for... So cancelling and ordering elsewhere would cost me additional dollars and I've lost a month.

I ordered an AR pistol upper in June. After multiple requests of updated delivery times of my order I was only provided with information to the effect of “covid, supplier issues, we expect to get the item another month from original date we told you and finally, it will be another 2-3 months (middle of January)." I understand there is a large influx of orders and lack of supplies coming in due to Covid. The issue I have most is the complete lack of communication on the part of Optics Planet without first being contacted by the customer. There is no even remotely adequate way, as it appears, that they have of providing even the slightest bit of accuracy in delivery of the product ordered. The most accurate thing I have been told by your Optics Planet is that I still don’t have the product and won’t for a reliably indeterminate amount of time.
In the time that I cancelled my upper order through their company and the day that I inquired about a flip up sight I also ordered in June, I had already received an upper and build kit through another company. It took me 2.5 weeks to receive everything I ordered and that company’s response to inquiries was everything I had hoped for. Timely and accurate information. Thanks Optics Planet for the rear flip up I did receive and the knowledge that ordering from your company is less enjoyable than having my ruptured appendix removed.

Directs me to website that is worthless. Finally cancelled the item not in stock, still hasn't shipped.

I placed an order on Oct 24th. Their site said they had 9 on hand, They took the money on the 26th, their site said they had 6 on hand. It took a couple days for their site to indicate they were out. When I placed the order, they said it would ship in 3-5 days. On the 3rd or 4th day they said it would be a few more days. This time has long passed and they don't answer the phone, don't allow voice mail, answer specific email questions with form emails that don't answer the email. The cancel order links put you in a closed loop with zero option to cancel. I jumped on live chat. They said I was in queue and I waited 10 minutes for my turn but.... no. No agent available. I am calling the card company to get my money back. SAVE YOURSELF SOME HASSLE... DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH OPTICS PLANET!!!

I ordered a Kryptek hunting vest a month before hunting season, it was in stock and was to arrive in a couple of weeks. My debit was billed and I got a ready for shipment notice. Days went by with out a tracking number. I emailed them to find out about my tracking number and date, they didn't have one as my order was delayed but should arrive on time for my hunt as the item was in stock. Days later still nothing, another email now it wouldn't make it for my hunt so I cancelled my order. My debit card has still not be repaid and today when I checked to see why I found that my order was still open with a projected ship date of April 2021! I cancelled it again and will never buy from them again if they are still in business in the future. Stay away from this company, I believe they are going under.

The reviews in their website are not true. They are a terrible company to work with; Item picture/description is not correct. Return the item for refund? Forget it, you will have to call your credit card company to get a refund. I won but a long 8 week process. My suggestion DO NOT BUY FROM OPTICS PLANET!

I finally found a way to talk with a real person, but it was not through normal contact methods. Anyway, customer service person 'Pete' was extremely helpful in clearing things up. It seems like my ordered product is being sent, hopefully correct product this time. I was also informed that the unauthorized charge of double the amount has been voided. I now have a direct number to 'Pete' if this does not work out. Any company can make mistakes, but it really should not have been this hard to resolve. Many thanks to 'Pete' for taking his time to help me. Assuming things do work out I will order again. One hint, always remember the person you are talking to likely had nothing to do with creating the problem so always be nice.

Ordered a Browning guncase from guncases.com 10/6/20, Paid. CC charge. Received wrong item 10/14/20. Got RMA & returned product. Unable to contact company. 10/26/20 used CHAT with OpticsPlanet and they confirmed the received returned product and issued a new order for what I originally ordered. Received order confirmation email showing no balance due (already paid). Now my CC shows a pending charge for exactly 2X original paid price. Still have received no product and no shipping data. Now I must try and get charge removed or wait till it is posted and dispute it. All this because they did not fill original order with product ordered. It also seems there is NO way now to contact them and get any customer service. I have zero confidence in ever getting my product or money refunded. I will continue to try and contact them.

I bought an in stock electric bicycle that showed to be delivered but it never came to my address. I can not get anyone to answer emails or calls. Will never use Planet Optics again! I am contacting my credit card company to stop payment.

Bought a 34mm scope mount that was supposedly "in stock". Item received a tracking number and says "shipped." Reality is the tracking number says it's still at the facility two weeks later. Would love to cancel my order, but get absolutely zero response thru email, phone, or their response form. Can't just cancel my order, cause is "shipped" it would have to be returned, and that will take 3 weeks. This is a terrible company, and practiced bad business way before the pandemic.

It's a possibility it could've gotten lost with USPS or whomever the shipping carrier is. Due to our policy, depending on the carrier, we must wait a specific amount of days before we can file a lost package claim. Have you tried reaching out to the facility in which it's held?

Please look elsewhere for a company with better customer service. I have placed multiple orders with this company and it started out okay even during the pandemic. The last 3 separate orders I placed didn't go so well. One order took a period of 5 months as I received bits and pieces of the order and I still haven't received the complete order yet. The second order I placed was for all in stock and available items and I contacted them several time after 2 weeks of no updates to try to cancel the order. I tried cancelling 3 times! 2 weeks later I received the order. Unfortunately I ordered similar products and received them over a week before this order. Instead of returning them I just sold them to a friend instead of dealing with the company. The last order I recently placed was free 2 day shipping valued at $50 for an in stock item.
After a week I kept contacting them. 3 times I received the generic response and then got an email to check my junk folder for an email from their risk assessment team. That email did not exist. Fortunately, I was able to cancel that order and order the same item at MidWay USA at a lower price. I've actually recommended friends who have had the same issues. I understand delays pandemic related or not, but the customer service is just terrible so my friends and I will keep shopping with MidWay until at least they get some customer service.

Everything is fine until it isn't. I have placed numerous orders to this company, most of them have been handled acceptably with some delays which they claim were due to Covid and increased sales. All of my orders over the last month have shipped within 24 hours except one. For some reason (which they can't explain) this order sat for 13 days before actually being given tracking numbers.
Even though they openly claim to be shipping currently within 1-3 days. If that isn't enough after ten days I attempted to cancel the order as it hadn't shipped, even though the majority of the items were in stock both before and after I had placed my order and no one could give me an answer as to why the "in stock" items had not been shipped. I had ordered 3 of one backordered item and I had contacted them to change my order from 3 to 2. There was also a note on another item to contact them for more information concerning a backorder of that item.
Instead of changing the order from 3 to 2 they cancelled all of them without an explanation and never did answer the question about the note on the other item. (It did say to contact them.) I immediately contacted them back (via email as they refuse to answer the phone) to correct the error and was then told that they could not correct the mistake. Their explanation was that the order was already being processed and had been approved and they could not add to it. Not even to correct their own mistake. So I lost my place in line for the backordered items which cost me another month of waiting.
After a week with this order sitting inexplicably I decided to do an experiment. I reordered the items in this order over 4 separate orders placing the backordered items on their own separate order and the rest of the items on their own separate orders. All except the backordered items shipped within 24 hours. After verifying that UPS had picked up the items, 10 days in, I cancelled the initial order but received the response that it could not be cancelled as it had already been processed. After numerous attempts to rectify the problem I am now at day 14. The order has been given tracking numbers but UPS shows that it in fact has not shipped.
Optics Planet employees are either unwilling or unable to resolve issues. Not one person can explain to me why this order has been sitting for 14 days. Obviously the items were in stock as they have all been shipped to me in other orders. Or why the other orders shipped and this one has not. At this point it seems to be a game of how long can we string out this guy's refund. They've refused to cancel the order and insist on shipping it cross country and back and then make me wait again after it has been shipped back for my refund. Are they hoping they get lost or damaged so they can refuse my refund? Absolute and complete lack of customer service. I will never buy from them again.

I ordered a product that said "In Stock". I get an email later that night and when I check the estimated delivery date it says "Ships in 6-8 weeks", so NOT in stock. I need the product so I waited; 6 weeks later I get an email from Customer Support stating they'd tried to contact me multiple times about my order and since I hadn't responded they just cancelled my order. The email stated to contact them with any questions. I called to inquire as to what happened as I have NEVER received anything from them about my order but when you call there's an automated message stating they are not answering the phones, not responding to voicemails or online chats, and that it would be multiple weeks before they got to any online question forms. Will never be ordering from them again if this is what they consider to be an appropriate way to treat their customers.

I've ordered many times from Optics Planet in the past without any issue whatsoever. I even made a couple orders of "in stock" parts in September that went off without a hitch. Quick shipping with great communication. I recently placed two parts orders earlier this month (October) and am greatly disappointed. The first order showed (AND STILL SHOWS) "in stock" yet it has been stuck in a "being fulfilled" status for going on 3 weeks now.
I emailed customer service and actually got a timely email reply from a human being stating that the order was packaged for shipping and apologizing for the delay. That was 1 week ago and it is still yet to ship with a tracking number. The second order has been a full week now stuck in "being fulfilled" yet still showing "in stock". Not sure what happened to their operation in October but it has fallen off the rails... I've ordered from other suppliers at the same time suffering with the same logistical situation as everyone else these days yet they have managed to ship the items quickly and communicated well.

I ordered an AR15 upper receiver. My order was cancelled without explanation. I tried to order again and the order was cancelled stating export and domestic sales regulations that do not apply unless they think that Alaska is a foreign country. I tried to call, they don't take customer calls. I emailed and got a auto-response that says they answer emails in two or more weeks. I gave up and ordered the part from MidwayUSA and they shipped it. I won't be using OpticsPlanet again.

I get that Covid and all, but I made an order 9/18/2020. One item said in stock (Last one). One said "expected to ship in 1-6 days". Just a few days later they e-mail me that the 2nd item will be in about 10/19/2020 32 days not 6. They are also holding the 1st item until the 2nd gets there. I Tried to e-mail them about splitting the order, got a canned e-mail response (Zero help). I have waited because I really need the 1st item and I'm afraid it will be lost if I cancel. All this time they are still selling the 2nd item & STILL saying "expected to ship in 1-6 days." ALL WHILE THEY CLEARLY KNOW THAT IT WAS NOT TRUE. Really sad, I guess if it's not in stock, just assume you will be lied to.

Very bad customer service; no one follows up with the orders. I placed an expensive order in beginning of August 2020 and to date 10-14-2020 have not received a single call or email regarding the status of my order. I do not recommend doing business with these people. There are many other vendors that are responsible and care about their customers.

So far it has been one week in gathering parts from 3 different vendors that I ordered on 10-7-2020. One of the vendors is OpticsPlanet. One week later when OpticsPlanet doesn't arrive along with the other two I check the tracking number to realize OpticsPlanet hasn't been sent me the tracking number yet. I log onto OpticPlanet to see the item hasn't even left their warehouse. A week after I ordered it, in stock. I called them twice, covering an hour's time with no answer or call back afterward. I tried to cancel the order online but the cancel process would not let me.
So here I am with a useless firearm because it takes OpticsPlanet more than a week and counting to get in stock orders out of their warehouse. They refuse to answer a phone and they refuse to allow me to cancel the order. At this moment I have no idea when or if I will see my part I ordered or if I will get a refund. I swear to God I will never order from them again.

Abominable. I've had close to $600 of product charged to my credit card three weeks ago, sitting in a "Being fulfilled" state when the site claims "most orders are now shipping in 1-3 days". They are not answering the phone, email communication is via robot, credibility is zero. I can't cancel the order because it's "Shipping", I'm about to turn them in to Chase Fraud investigations. Avoid Optics Planet like the plague!

I ordered my in stock products 7 business days ago, and still they have yet to ship. My account has already had the money taken out and no signs of any product. Website states “getting ready for shipment” and yet there is no way to get ahold of them. They never answer their phone, or emails. If you want your money stolen, then please use this company. They are thieves.

I placed an order with Optics Planet for items listed as in stock. After realizing they didn't ship within a week, I emailed to ask. It took a week to receive an email back saying my purchase was moved out over a month. It has since been moved out a month...3 times. They have never once notified me, and will not answer phone calls. Order cancelled and I will never order from them again.

Look, I’m just the latest in bad reviews. I don’t want to waste my time reviewing but here I am. Product was out at other sites too but all said in stock by August. All the other sites got theirs in August but Optics Planet has moved my ship date 5 times! Doesn’t respond to inquiries. Ask yourself what kind of company tells people 5 dates, missed them all and doesn’t call to explain and get the product in through other means (like the sites who have it in stock!). My guess is vendors will not ship to them because they take care of them they they took care of me. Take my money and stall as long as they can. I’m betting they are corrupt, serious money troubles or the worst run company still in business. Run!

I ordered an in-stock 200 rnd box of 9mm in July.. I also ordered (on a separate order) some not in-stock 9mm rounds that they gave an estimated delivery date. They kept moving that date and added both orders together and held the in-stock order...nothing...so I canceled the not in-stock order weeks ago... Still nothing. You can't call and emails are patronizing. Pandemic my **.. This is not a trustworthy company to do business with. I'm writing it up as a loss.

Ordered a product over three weeks ago and it has yet to ship. To make matters worse the product is listed as a OpticsPlanet exclusive item that was available and in stock!!! I’ve called them several times and no one answers the phone, just automated crap. I have left messages and not a single returned call. I’ve tried leaving emails and these have fallen on deaf ears as well. I just tried to cancel my order and they won’t let me do that either! I will never shop with this scam of a company ever again and I suggest that anyone considering spending their money with them to think twice and seriously look towards another retailer.

I am rating a one star because there is not a zero. I place a order on September 3rd over the phone. The customer service representative got the wrong part number for I had to call back on the 4th to change the part number. I never got the invoice to pay for the item until September 8th. After two weeks of not receiving a tracking number of something that they told me was in stock I checked my account it didn’t show the order. I called and they told me that they had not shipped but would call me back. I never received a phone call back. I sent emails to find out what was going on with my order with no reply. I finally called and got to talk to someone on the 28th which advised the part was in stock and that it still had not shipped. The representative told me that she would call back after she got to talk to someone else that would be able to help with shipping the item. On the 30th at 5pm I finally got another phone call advising that it still had not shipped.

You can not talk to anyone there and they are unresponsive to emails and phone messages. I received a partial order where a parts kit was missing the parts. I have emailed them, complained through PayPal and written a " RipOff Report" - NO RESPONSE TO ANYONE! The RipOff report had numerous OpticsPlanet complaints - most claimed they were a scam!!
