I received a notice that there was a problem with a gift card purchase and in order to unlock my account I need to upload the gift card information. I threw out the used gift card. I am unable to contact customer service. No phone number to call. Unable to leave a message because it keeps looping to the "upload your gift card info." message. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service.

Tire of the same crap. I place an order for a watch which I was supposed to get in a couple of days (since I am paying for Amazon Prime) and it has been almost a week now and they are just using the same excuse, that there is a problem in the Mesquite, TX warehouse. This is not the first time I order something with them and there is always a problem in the same warehouse. What is going on there? Do they need to hire more people? Do they need to do a better job super? Do they order the watch from Siberia? I am tired of this same thing. Get it together Amazon. I know is close to Christmas time but you have done better in prior years. 😑

Every time I order something on Amazon, whether it's for me or a gift for someone else, it is always a mess, and something goes wrong, or a complication occurs. It’s gotten worse over the years. For examples, they signed me up and charged me for Amazon prime without my permission. It was hell trying to get the prime status removed and still have not gotten my money back, only an email saying I am no longer a prime member. From this point forward I will use Temu or Ebay or similar apps or go directly to a store app in my phone where I can purchase the product directly.

Amazon Delivery Review – Extremely Disappointed. I’ve honestly had it with Amazon. I ordered a very small item and paid extra for expedited delivery to make sure it arrived in time for my daughter’s birthday. Instead, I ended up waiting almost a full week, and when the day finally came, the delivery driver marked it as “delivered” and uploaded a picture of a door with NO package anywhere in sight. My item was not delivered, plain and simple.
This isn’t the first time, either. Amazon used to be reliable, fast, and trustworthy, but now it feels like the complete opposite. Their customer service has been absolutely horrible—they keep repeating that they “tried their best,” but clearly they didn’t. If this is their best, that says a lot. Because of this failed delivery, Amazon literally ruined my daughter’s birthday, and I can’t believe a company this big treats customers this way. Delays, false delivery photos, extra fees for nothing—it’s unacceptable and completely wrong. Amazon is not what it used to be, and I’m extremely disappointed.

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. You have to repeat the problem several times so that it is properly understood. They keep apologizing but the problem does not seem to be corrected. Also, some of the sellers do not appear honest. Some items never ship/others are cancelled at random. An upgrading top to bottom is due. I switched to Walmart.

They say we can issue a return so then now I have to go get the gift back from my daughter, drop it off at the UPS store and then re-order it at the Black Friday price but now they’re out of stock.
I swear I’m finding stuff cheaper at mom and Pop shops all around the country than the prices on Amazon lately and I’m still getting China stuff so why would I shop on Amazon anymore? I hate Amazon I used to have that go because I can block the Amazon search results. For the nth (I can’t even remember how many times) an order has disappeared after “package left facility” between 1 and 2 am. I had ordered 2 items, added a third after the first payment was processed. The order said I still had time to add it. So, the second ordered was processed and charged to my account. On my Amazon account was a photo of all three items with the caption “delivery (will be) tomorrow”. Now it’s “tomorrow” and only the second single-item order Is “out for delivery”. The other 2 items are still stuck in “package left facility” approx. 1:30 AM. This has happened more times than I can count. This and one of the other screw ups was for something I was buying for a little 5-year-old boy. Regarding the previous time his heart was broken when it did not arrive. But THIS time I explored other avenues.
I found that Target had a better item (a Batman kid’s wireless headphones). I ordered it immediately. It was delivered to my home less than 2 hours after I ordered it. A previous similar incident involved purchase of an iPad Air priced $850.00. It disappeared in transit also. Was supposed to be overnight delivery. I never got an explanation, called the customer service number numerous times, only to get the runaround. It took several days before they finally refunded the money to my account. Needless to say, I’ll be looking a lot more to Target and less to Amazon. I’m fed up with them.

As a long time Prime customer of Amazon, I have had to return only a few items, always via UPS. In the past, a QR code was issued for the return and I could take my phone to UPS and they would scan the QR code and take care of the return. For the latest item I returned, Amazon issued a shipping label instead of a QR code and I went to the UPS with the label on my phone and was told that I would have to return with the printed label or they would print it for $3.15, which was only a few dollars less than the cost of the item. So, I had to print out the label, cut it out and tape it to the box box the item came in. With my luck, UPS will tell me they cannot accept the rather small box the item came in. I may be posting here again.

I have been with Amazon a long while and it has been my "go to" for at least 10 years and is my largest spend annually. However, it has lost its appeal lately. Just today I had two items that the orders were cancelled on at the time I expected delivery. This is an ongoing issue. I also have deliveries later than promised. Not just occasionally, that might be acceptable, but frankly I have as many or more late as I do on time. And pricing, at one time Amazon could not be beat, but that is distant memory now and I feel prices are no better if as good and just shopping internet.
Other retailers seem to consistently keep their promises on delivery while Amazon falls further behind in service. Amazon Prime, frankly I once watched a lot of old movies that were always cheap. Now they are slightly higher but I find most of them free on other apps. All in all I am reevaluating my Prime membership and Amazon in general. Amazon is getting dirtier and dirtier with their customers. I do all my shopping on Amazon, including my groceries on Whole Foods market and Amazon market fresh. Amazon has a bad habit of removing funds from your account right when you place your order, but the third-party sellers are not shipping the items in a timely manner. After three days, the money is returned to your checking account. Again, they will remove the funds when the item ships. For people on a budget they definitely don't want funds removed in, returned and removed again.
I placed a grocery order from Whole Foods market and a separate Amazon purchase on October 31, 2025. A few of my Amazon items kept saying delay and shipment. I had cat food in that order and I needed the cat food so I tried to cancel my order and then order again from a different seller on Amazon. Well, the first order wouldn't allow me to cancel, even though they were messing around getting my products out. And then had to turn around and cancel the second order. What a headache!!
I just tried putting a review in on Amazon and told that my account is not allowed to do a review. Amazon does not allow negative reviews or they will deny you from leaving one. In my photo, you can tell my other items were sent to me in a timely manner, but the cat food still was not delivered. It didn't even show it shipped until 4 November when it was ordered October 31. Everybody else was able to get their items out, but this particular seller was playing games and not allowing me to cancel because of it.

SO TIRED OF AMAZON'S FALSE ADVERTISING ON 2-DAY SHIPPING FOR PRIME MEMBERS. WHAT AM I PAYING FOR EVERY MONTH?!!! The only reason I am giving two stars is because the employees in customer service are usually very nice and they can only do what they can do. My products are always late. I choose the ones that say 2-day shipping for prime members then I don't get them for over a week. Boxes have been damaged and even though they say they're doing certain things the results still the same. You still have to wait. I spend hours looking for the same product through different sites to make sure I can get it on a certain date. I am tired of buying items that say 2-day shipping then I don't get them for over a week! Pretty sure that is definitely false advertising defined!
I pay for a lot of Amazon services and if this doesn't start changing I won't be paying for any of them because there's no reason to have Amazon if they do not stand behind their company and what they say! These pictures I posted the one that said shipped on the 27th for the heater. I ordered that on the 24th of October. Guaranteed 2-day shipping for prime member. It did not even ship out until the 27th. That's already 3 days and it's been going like that with all the orders that I've ordered in the last 2 months. This is absolutely ridiculous and FALSE ADVERTISING again, I don't know how many times I can say that.

I've been an Amazon buyer for several years and spend a lot of money monthly. Today that is changing as I look for other options even if they are less convenience. I recently place an order for my wives birthday for a necklace for 499.00. The next day our AC went out so I had to return it due to financial restraints. The seller has to decided to hold my money for no reason. They took my money in one day with a click of the keyboard but now it seems impossible for them to do the same when crediting my account. Amazon customer service has no problem with this seller holding my money hostage. Every other return I've ever done with Amazon seller has either been as soon as dropped off, or one to two day. I ordered an item, when received, was wrong size. Called Amazon to start return. Rep said we will pick it up at your home. I told him i had no way of print return label, he insisted USPS would pick up package next day and print label. I advised him UPS & Fedex could and would do that but rural mail carriers didn't. He still insisted, even though while on phone with him, email from USPS popped up with 3 things. #1 Label must be printed and on package,#2 someone must be home, #3 must be 18 or older. I read the email to him, then requested to take package to Fedex store and let them print label and return package. He still insisted USPS will pick it up next day and print label, the email said USPS would pick it up in 2 days but the 3 items must be met. After 30 minutes trying to tell Amazon agent he was wrong, I said fine, we will do this the hard way.
2 days later returned home from work, package still on porch with a sticky note from postal carrier, saying need return label on package before they could accept it, had a phone number for me to set up new pickup date. So now 3 days have passed, I took package to post office, had return label printed there and they stuck it on package and took it. I called Amazon, kept insisting to speak to a manager in the return department, got a rep that spoke English very well, told her what took place and they need to train their employees in return department about UPS, FedEX and USPS policies and that the postal employees didn't carry printers in their vehicles. She looked at my return in the computer, She said ,I see where they picked it up, I said no, its on the way, but I had to go to post office and let them print a label and put on package. She said, no, it shows they picked it up 1 hour ago, I said, no that's when I took it to the post office.
I told her to look at date return was suppose to be picked up 2 days earlier. She said why didn't you print the label. I explained cost versus use and that I wasn't purchasing a printer to print Amazon returns. She said, don't you have a neighbor or friend that lives close ,that i could have used their printer. I said NO, I live in rural Appalachian mountains, and it was only 5 years ago that we finally got decent internet, and still don't have a 5G signal on cell phones. Also, I would never ask a neighbor or friend to let me use their electronics. I kept telling her, if the rep would have listened and let me take package to a FedEx drop they would have printed label and it would have been on its way 4 days ago. As it stands at this moment, package has been 6 days and still not got to return department warehouse for Amazon to put money back on my credit card.

I am a Amazon customer and have been for years. One of my recent purchases did end up with a negative experience. An item ordered specifically a Residential Door Hinge Adjustment Tool was to be delivered. I received an EMPTY plastic envelope as nothing was inside. I told Amazon online that and requested a replacement tool and was requested to return the envelope even though nothing was inside. I received the replacement tool and thought everything was good. A few weeks later I noticed a charged on my American Express for the tool I DID NOT RECEIVE, I contacted Amazon and told them I should not be charged for an item I DID NOT RECEIVE.
After three or four attempts to solve the situation by Amazon to remove the charge on my AMEX account with Amazon representatives with email and over the phone I am still being charged. Their overall response was that I should have called them when the empty envelope was delivered and I waited too long to resolve the situation. I did call the and spoke with a representative before I was charged a second time and was told not to worry about it as was taken care of.
As an Amazon customer who has spent thousands of if not tens of thousands of dollars with them I should not have to pay $24.92 for something I did not receive. In one of their emails I was told that it was my negligence by not contacting them over the phone and I should be charged and accept that. That really leaved a very bad feeling against Amazon! Amazon claimed my card declined when they hadn’t attempted to charge it and mislead me about the delivery date. My complaint is for both Amazon’s system as well as their customer service. I believe that the first representative I spoke with was simply working with the information in which he was provided. However, there was a huge mistake in Amazon’s system.
Here’s my story: I made an order on Amazon on September 21st and it was “approved”, and I received an immediate email with the receipt and details. On September 28th, I was emailed the expected delivery date. Then I received an email on October 5th that the payment had declined. So, I went onto the website multiple times to try to find a page which allowed me to fix the issue but nothing came up, even when using the link they provided in the email. I figured it was an accidental email. I received another email the following day (October 6th) indicating it still wasn’t functioning and finally found a way to update my payment method, however the information was already correct. I clicked update regardless.
I then received another email (October 7th) that the payment was declined, and so I went online again. Again, I found no way from my end to retry the payment. At this time the items still said they were expected by October 7th/8th. I proceeded to call to ask about this problem and the man on this call verified that the payment hadn’t gone through. So I asked him to retry the payment method and he said it wasn’t working. He told me to call my bank so I did (1 minute after hanging up) and I found out that there had been no declined payments from Amazon. However, they said that a payment had gone through (within the hour) for an Amazon order. So, because I had just been told that the payment didn’t work, I called Amazon once again to verify that it had worked on their end. On my second call, I was told it had gone through but was expected by the 12th of October instead of the 7th.
Yet the website had told me just 30 minutes before that it was expected on the 7th. So why would Amazon give me an “up-to-date” delivery date when the package hadn’t even left the warehouse because of the “declined” (or never attempted) payment. And - since they had, why wouldn’t the shipping be expedited due to multiple systematic errors? I asked the representative on the second call if she could do anything about the late delivery date, and she said she couldn’t despite Amazon being at fault for the issue in the first place.
Anyways with the misleading emails indicating everything had gone through, the inaccurate delivery information indicating the package would come “Today” on the 7th of October (2025), and the failure to charge the card listed on the account despite its accuracy throughout the whole process, I am appalled. - And on top of all that, they couldn’t even offer solutions to the problem on the website or helpful information on the phone call.

I find it funny Amazon.com that I can post the receipt of where I dropped off this item in the box it was shipped to me, still sealed from factory. Yet, it states I should receive my refund by October 5, but your customer service agent states I have to wait until October 26 before they can do anything. Upon requesting a supervisor she was ignorant and offered no help about my refund. So I would like to make it known to my friends not only on facebook, but instagram, and threads that the treatment from your customer service agent, and supervisor both were ignorant and completely unhelpful.
Do we need to contact the credit card company, because you guys have the property that was sent back in the same box it was sent to me in, and still factory sealed. So do I need to post this on yelp, google, BBB, and the federal trade commission? I have received refunds from items returned on the same day, but yet I have to wait on my refund on this item? Make that make sense. If you can please get back to me on my refund I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

The last few weeks with Amazon have been absolutely the worst! I ordered multiple items in multiple orders, one using my non-PRIME account and many using my husband's PRIME account. In one order, the item was advertised as new but turned out to be refurbished. In another order, the item was advertised as 2-day delivery with PRIME and never showed up as promised. The rep stated that the PRIME delivery windows do not begin to count days until the product actually ships out. I explained to the rep that the listing provides a specific delivery date for PRIME, if the item is ordered within a specific time frame. The rep said I was wrong, just said to wait, it will show up eventually. In a third order, the incorrect item was delivered.
As per the Amazon rep, information was sent to the seller, but the seller never responded. Amazon would not assist in having the seller communicate, yet continues to allow that individual to list items for sale. Then, there is a 4th order. This was a large order, which was understandably split into multiple packages/deliveries. One particular package contained 9 items from this very large order. All 9 items were processed through the hub located in Phoenix, AZ, packaged in a single box. My house is 90 minutes from this hub, in the same state. The package arrived at the hub on 9/23. Tracking remained the same until early this morning (9/26).
This morning the package arrived owed as being at the hub since the 23rd. This morning, the 26th, the package arrived in Florida, clear across the country! I ended up in chat with 7 different reps because a new agent kept being assigned, and all refused to get a supervisor after multiple requests. None accepted any responsibility for the Amazon error and none explained why the package was sent to Florida. All of them said not to worry, it wasn't due yet so just wait. I kept explaining I was not concerned about the due date, I was concerned because the package was incorrectly sent clear across the country. This creates more expense for the company (which is passed on to the consumer), but mostly concerned because that package is now going to be handled and jostled multiple times and it contained some fragile items. This creates a greater risk of something being damaged.
Two reps blamed USPS even though the package had not yet been turned over to USPS and was still in the hands of Amazon. One rep claimed it was sent to Florida because some of the items must be coming from the Florida hub. (Having family who work for Amazon, I know for a fact this is not true. If the items are from different warehouses, they are packed and shipped according to which warehouse they are coming from. They will not pull a few items from AZ, pack them and send them to Florida, where the package is then opened, more items added, and it gets sent back to AZ.) A supervisor finally entered chat and was very dismissive. All he said was to wait until the expected delivery date. He had no empathy, no sympathy, no recognition whatsoever that this package was incorrectly sent to Florida, an Amazon error.
In frustration, I then spoke with another rep on the phone and was told that packages that are not PRIME are clumped with some that are PRIME. The non-PRIME orders will travel around from state to state until all the PRIME orders are delivered. Then, the package will be returned to the same warehouse, where it will again be processed and eventually sent to me. Again, Amazon assumed no responsibility for misdirecting this package. The rep was very rude and dismissive. He blamed it on my account not being PRIME.
I asked for a supervisor multiple times and he eventually said he would get one. I waited on hold for over 10 minutes and then the call was disconnected. Amazon customer service used to be very good: packages used to arrive on time, if an order was incorrect, it was quickly remedied, if Amazon made the error, they always did something to make amends, and all customers were treated with respect regardless of whether or not they were using a PRIME account.
These last few experiences, the reps have been very rude, very dismissive, unwilling to take any responsibility for an Amazon error, shipping is very unreliable, items are falsely advertised, shipping dates are not honored, Amazon allows sellers to continue to sell on the platform even when the seller is falsely advertising and delivering the wrong product...customer service has been terrible! (I do want to add that there are three adults in this household, two of whom do pay for PRIME. These issues seem to be occurring regardless of whether we use the PRIME account or not.) I am very unhappy with the service provided by Amazon and doubt Amazon will be my primary go-to in the future.

Amazon refuses to return my money for a defective DVD/VCR that I returned over a month ago. They received my return on August 18, but refuse to process my refund claiming possible fraud. They owe me $272.86. I am 75; get $808/mo SS. I can’t afford to lose almost $300 for a defective product that has been returned. Ridiculous. They can refund my money to my Synchrony bank account linked to my Amazon account. OR my credit card on file with my account. How could that be fraud? They claim I must provide ID. I didn’t have to provide ID when they took my money ... Within minutes. They should be able to refund money to the source within a week. They have a program where you hold your ID up to your computer and it takes a picture. I have done this over a dozen times at this point. I have a Colorado Driver License. It is a valid ID. Their process requires you to select the country of your ID and the type.
I selected United States and Driver License. The program tells me to check the country because I have selected the wrong country. After several attempts, my submission has been accepted, then they say I must wait 3 days and contact customer service (a nightmare in itself) to get my refund. I am, now, waiting 3 days for the 3rd time – while Amazon has MY MONEY. Amazon has millions of customers. Imagine that 100,000 are waiting for a refund, averaging $200. That’s 20 Million dollars that they are keeping, earning interest or whatever, while us customers are put through the ringer to try and get our money back. Their software/ refund process is the problem – NOT MY ID, yet they continue to give me the runaround while keeping MY MONEY. This is certainly an issue that affects Coloradans as well as all Americans and others who find themselves held hostage by Amazon return “policies”.

I find AMAZON as a whole a great company when it comes to filling orders quickly, issuing refunds and replacing product when required. My 1 star rating comes from poorly trained shipping staff. I have recently received items I have ordered with heavily damaged retail packaging from being stuffed in a paper shipping bag or a bubble pack. The product itself has been ok, so far. My complaint is there is NO WHERE on AMAZON too send feedback on this growing problem. You get a "Delivered" to your mail box or front porch email that proclaims "How was your delivery" but no way to say why it was good or bad.

We used to love Amazon because it was very convenient since we're always too busy to go to the store. But lately, nearly every order has been delivered late. Customer service is terrible, most often they have such an accent we cannot understand them nor they us. They promise to take care of an issue, "sorry your package is so late and that it has been repeatedly happening for you, your package will be there first thing tomorrow morning and we will issue a x$ credit." Call then dropped (conveniently for them). Package arrived after 8 days, not the next morning and we never got the credit.
Ordered some things yesterday that would be here between 7-11am, and actually ordered more items to get it over $25 so we can get that quick delivery. But just got a notification that they are very sorry it is late. Also, initially Prime was supposed to include movies. Now the only movies included are super old ones and even a lot of these aee rentals. Most likely will cancel Prime. It is not longer reliable nor worth it, you're paying for nothing but headaches.

I was told by a customer service manager that even though it says it on the website that it would be here today in the morning, that it really isn’t a promise date for delivery. I pay monthly for the promise to have my order here the day and timeframe it is promised on the website that I place my order on.
I was told by the manager that it isn’t really promised even though it is a promised time and date. She then proceeded to tell my that I should “hope for the best” when I place my orders to be here when I need them. That is very bad business practice and and when I came to this website to write this review, there are 4 fold more 1 star reviews vs the 5 star reviews. That should tell everyone in the Amazon company that they are practicing very bad business. Now all of the items that I ordered will not be here when I need them (today). Amazon is convenient, but it's guaranteed that their own delivery system is horrible. We buy for a business, in a business park, with enormous signage, and we've had things marked as delivered not show up until the following day, delivered to another business across the road, delivered to private homes miles away with a different street name, delivered outside of operation hours, left on the loading dock on a weekend, in the rain. We've asked the drivers, all of whom seem to be completely untrained, stressed and overworked people struggling to just get rid of their loads, and the answer is, as long as they mark it delivered and their GPS shows it within a mile, it's delivered. Overseas "help" is no help at all, of course, stating we should make sure our receiving hours are marked in our account, which they have been since we started using them.
We now NEVER order anything critical through Amazon, because the likelihood of actually receiving an order at all is perhaps 20%. Apparently, one gets what one pays for, even though we pay a premium for some products plus the Prime Business fee. Clearly, Amazon doesn't train or monitor its subcontractors and can care less.

They do not work at all, not even with the native app, and Amazon will take no responsibility whatsoever. I've told Amazon I purchased a card from their site and razor said since they are a third party seller. It's up to them to resolve the issue. Many opportunities for them to help me with this. I've called their customer service so many times. On three different occasions three different people had assured me that they processed a refund. Calling in and talking to an account representative they said well they can't do a refund because it wasn't a private label card of theirs but that they could provide me with an Amazon credit. That wasn't really what I was searching for.
I'm a senior citizen on social security and this gift card was supposed to be for my granddaughter. Anyway after many attempts to work with Amazon on getting this resolved they never have resolved it and trying to deal with them and their system every time you get online and talk with customer service you're talking to somebody different and I have to explain the situation all over again so I finally went to the better Business bureau and complain about Amazon which state contacted Amazon. Amazon came back through them and offered an Amazon gift credit. I still haven't received anything from them. I called back into Amazon's customer service. They told me to email this bbb.amazon.com and escalate the issues. I've emailed them four different times. I have not received one response. So my issue is I'm still out $350. I was also told that the gift card balance cannot be refunded to you and does not expire! So if you never purchase anything else on Amazon, you cannot get your money back. My advice, stop buying on Amazon, cancel you credit cards off your account! As a Prime customer for decades, I remember automatic 2-day shipping. Now you just have to wait and see when you might get your order. Amazon is no longer reliable and dependable.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Amazon’s customer service. Two items I ordered were delivered to the wrong address. When I contacted customer service to resolve the issue, I was transferred multiple times from one agent to another. Each time, I had to explain the entire situation again, which was exhausting.
The agents were not friendly, and they kept putting me on hold for long periods without actually helping. In the end, even though I wanted a replacement, they insisted on a refund . Only one item was refunded. The other one wasn’t, because I canceled it myself (since I no longer needed it without the first item), but they still didn’t issue a refund. Overall, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I expected better from Amazon: more efficiency, quicker solutions, and above all, more respect.

1-Star Review: Amazon is Running an Organized Scam - Criminal-Level Negligence. I'm writing this review from pure fury after MONTHS of Amazon's predatory business practices stealing from me. This isn't just bad service - this is what happens when a trillion-dollar corporation decides customer theft is part of its profit model. Here's their playbook:
1. THE DELIVERY LIE: Ordered **, Order # **, Order # **, Order # **, Order # **, Order # **, Order # **, Order # **, Order # **, and Order # **. Kindle(s)/[other items] on [date] - PAID IN FULL $2,000 or more. Tracking shows "delivered" but NOTHING arrives. Customer service robots claim "proof of delivery" when THEIR OWN DRIVERS FAIL. One package arrived TAPED SHUT WITH NOTHING INSIDE - this isn't an accident, it's FRAUD.
2. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE CIRCUS: Spent 5 hours being transferred between reps who all read from the SAME WORTHLESS SCRIPT. One smug representative TOLD ME TO USE A LOCKER like that excuses their criminal negligence. Another actually BRAGGED about getting her packages while refusing to help me. Supervisors "unavailable" 5 TIMES when demanding escalation.
3. THE CORPORATE SHUFFLE: Filed FTC complaint (Case # **). Bank disputes met with Amazon's BULLSHIT "evidence" of delivery. Their legal department SILENT when demanded refunds in writing.
4. THE BIGGER PICTURE: They INTENTIONALLY hide shipping labels (won't say if box screams "STEAL ME"). Empty box deliveries HAPPEN TOO OFTEN to be accidents. SYSTEMIC REFUSAL to refund for undelivered items = THEFT. ZERO accountability from Bezos's empire of exploitation.
WARNING TO CONSUMERS: Amazon has perfected the art of taking your money and providing NOTHING in return. Their business model now relies on:
Taking orders they can't fulfill.
Faking deliveries.
Stonewalling refunds until you give up.
Banking on regulators being too slow to stop them.
I DEMAND:
Full refunds for ALL missing items.
Investigation into their delivery fraud.
Criminal charges for systematic consumer theft.
DO NOT GIVE THESE SCAM ARTISTS YOUR MONEY. Every dollar you spend with Amazon is a gamble where THEY CONTROL THE ODDS. I will be pursuing this through small claims court and media exposure until justice is served.

I used to love Amazon.com, but I’m noticing in the last year and a half the policies for returns and other things especially when they have sent a defective product has gotten sooo bad. For example, they have sent me defective products way more than once and when I call about that item either it being damaged or missing a piece, etc. they expect me to drive it to a local UPS or any drop off and I don’t live very close to any of those and as a customer that pays a membership and is a member of Amazon the whole point of Amazon is to send products so I do not have to get in my vehicle and go to the store or go to a drop off.
I understand if I purchased an item I didn’t like it and they asked me to go drop it off at a drop off center. That is absolutely reasonable but when you send a defective product and then ask the customer who’s paying a membership specifically for delivery, of which there is no such thing as prime delivery anymore because they don’t even deliver things within two days anymore, how is that right to send somebody a damaged product and then tell them to go and return it?!?! It used to be they told you to throw it away and they sent you a new one at no cost or they would have a UPS person come and pick it up but now they’re charging for UPS to come pick it up when it’s not even my fault that they sent me a damaged product to begin with.
This is what I have a very hard time with when it comes to wanting to stay with Amazon. This is horrible customer service and as of now I will be purchasing my items from local stores and no longer from Amazon as much as possible and maybe get to the point where I never use Amazon again because this is absolutely wrong and on top of it when you call about these things, the customer service all they do is repeat themselves it’s no longer genuine. Now you have to buy movies and purchase a separate membership to listen to the music you want to. Shipping was two days from date of order. Now, not only are we having to wait a week, but if an item says it will be delivered by a certain date they often change the date of delivery after you have already paid for it. Amazon is hoodwinking customers. First they have customers competing for their Vine program by writing overly positive reviews in hopes of being selected. You have sellers trying to remove negative reviews or buy positive ones. I found webpages detailing how to legally remove negative customer reviews and sites touting 'I can get you 5-star reviews for your products '. Then yesterday when looking at my reviews, I noticed that all critical reviews of a seller had been crossed out by Amazon. This amazed me as Amazon insisted they shipped the products and were solely responsible. Yet I have an invoice that clearly states that Amazon was not the shipper of products during this time period.
It appears like Amazon wants to deceive customers. Potential customers need to be aware that Amazon allows sellers to remove negative customer reviews, accepts (and solicits great customer reviews through the incentives in Vine) and even alters shipper information in order to bear the brunt of customer outrage at shipping issues. I would be highly suspect of all product reviews on this site. I would also be hesitant to frequent Amazon.com because of these practices.

Refunds are very slow. You order and the product is not satisfactory for whatever reason. To make a return couldn't be easier. Simply take it to Whole Foods and drop it off. Amazon processes the return and gives you credit on your account. However they want to issue you a gift card, not a true refund to your account. When you try to contact customer service you find there is no phone published on their site. Once you find a number to call online, you get an automated response which is totally not helpful. Constantly asking to "speak to an agent" will eventually get someone in India or Pakistan. They are only partially helpful until you inform them that you will refer the matter to your Visa provider. They then tell you 5 to 7 days for a refund to your card. After you have already waited two weeks for the return to be processed, this is intolerable. If I could give Amazon zero stars I would. Over the past 12 months I've dealt with tons of 1,2,3 party sellers, some have been great, and some have been down right terrible, but the company I find that's the most terrible is Amazon themselves, it's not so much the sellers, as for Amazon as a company. First of all when I make order from Amazon they're usually large orders, so usually with large orders comes some sort of returns. I made an order for some clothing, sweats, some under garments for myself, and shoes and a handbag. First off, I returned the sneakers and wallet, and handbag all together, but they wanted my license, and wanted me to send a photo of it… Like I was a criminal, my family and friends who order from them regularly never in the years of ordering from them have ever been asked to send their license, but they have me twice.
I was sent wrong clothing items, and told they were right, and when I reached out to the seller, they told me they have been having issues with the fulfilment center at amazon, and sent me the right sweat pants which were reverse weave Champion pants, and we all know those are pricey. The undergarments they sent me gave me chemical burns, I did reach out to the seller, and the seller want me to try them again, I reached out through chat, and they wanted photos of my chemical burns…. No!! They're in a private place, so I call. I got this nice girl who actually spoke English, and she said I had to return the soiled underwear to Amazon, she said it was ridiculous and felt bad for even asking me to have to do that.
So here I am with no dignity sending back dirty underwear. For who knows to smell them. I swore to myself after that I’d never ever order again but what did I get for my birthday but an amazon gift card…. Yay! Not, so I ordered some coffee cups, Minecraft magnetic blocks that were $70, a hobo purse and wallet, and other items…. Yeah so the blocks had a coupon, I submitted my order after using the coupon. I pressed after the fact. It showed on my invoice, but did not take the $70 off my order. I talked to a agent, she seen the mistake unfortunately at the given point she could not refund me the 40% and to come back when I received the order and I'd get a 40% in my card, and she'd make a note so I wouldn’t be hassled…
Well…. With all devastation when I got these, these blocks showed two kids about the age of 4 playing with these blocks that looked decent sized, no, these things came in with tons of tape from the other customer that had them, who was probably just as devastated as I was, and these blocks were the size of marbles came in the smallest box, they are straight up choking hazards, I also order Minecraft Crocs charms and was given 2 false tracking numbers one for UPS and one for USPS, and delay after delay and I went to them with this information and amazon would not refund me, so I talked to a agent Marcos who was so nice and kind, who promised to refund me and i told him about the blocks, he’s like, "We will refund you $76.79, just keep the items on us, there’s been so much of a inconvenience already, your refund should be issued soon…."
Nothing, so I go back, and it's a straight up fight… I sent them screenshots of Marcos conversation, I was treated like a criminal. I told them about the agent and the coupon because they said I used it when I didn't, they overcharged my whole order by like $90 than what it should have been. I contacted the BBB, and the guy basically called me a idiot and Mohammed, I asked to speak to a. Higher up, he would not allow for me to, and I know they can because I have before. I went through my order and added up like 20 times and every time I get the same. So check your invoices.
So tonight I went on to start a return for a purse and wallet. Totals $64.99 together. Well they won't let me print my label, they're saying it's a 3rd party seller and they can't give me a label, this is a small company. It's shipped from amazon. They want me to pay to go to a ups drop off point, $6 for each item, but they want me to drive 2 hours to a ups store where it's free. Ummm I live in a rural area, it's never ever been a issue before for me to print a free label and return it to the ups drop off center point, know they want $6.99 a item. I've bought and return items from CLUCI before and never had a issue with this company, this is straight up Amazon being spiteful.
Some sellers I do recommend on Amazon are, melandsyd. They sell these beautiful Australian leather boots that are literally on the same level as Ugg, for such a affordable price, and I almost own there hold shoe line, absolutely love this company so much, also a company called Project Cloud. They're another footwear company, and they're so kind and nice, just like Mel and Syd. They're upcoming small business, you can find both of them on Instagram, project cloud you can purchase off instagram, Mel and Syd I don’t think you can order any place but Amazon, but they're great to deal with as sellers, and everything came in beautifully.
There’s a brand called Trendyqueen, know the seller won't answer back, however the product is very nice and similar to comfort dupes. LQQ sells an amazing 20oz coffee mug set… So your small business sellers are the ones that are great to deal with. But Amazon as a company no…. Check your invoices, check your credit cards, I was duplicated charged…. You do get some good workers who do their jobs, but the communication is just terrible and those workers get overpowered by the ones who don’t like to do their job, they rush though, sit down and really look at those receipts add them up. Screenshot everything…. The only way I'll order from Amazon is for some of those small business.
If I'm going to order a name brand I'll go directly to the site so I know it's a true licensed item, I've been sold so much counterfeit stuff too. So yep…. The ups guy came to my house one day and he told me they have a contract with Amazon, so it's free for them to drop off items and pick them up from customers and technically they're not suppose to be charging customers for pick ups, and I should see what they do to the elderly that can’t leave their homes, they get high charges for their items to get picked up, he said it makes him feel so bad, and he hates delivering for them and they're rude to the ups drivers.
I can go on and on. I've had tons of other altercations with them…. But this year it’s like the straw that broke the camels back…. Really! For real you’re going to charge your customer for a label for them to drop it off at a registered ups drop off site. But you want me to take it to staples that doesn’t do it anymore for free and I told her they didn't, like 3 times explained Kohl's is going out of business too… Like I told this chick they don’t do it. We are rural. The nearest ups store is 2 hours away. Like make it make sense. Idk. All I know is I feel like I've been treated like a criminal, and I have lost dignity. And this is completely not bias, but the foreign people they have working there are rude and mean…. They need more English customer service reps.

Moments after their determination of what they think is convenient for themselves, packages are stolen.
Over the past 2 years I have had every other delivery stolen within minutes of delivery. When I immediately contacted Amazon, they say to call back 2 days later to report the items stolen, just in case they miraculously reappear. Then you call back 2 days later and they ask you why you waited to call, suggest your neighbors or friends might have retrieved your package for you. After that is answered. They tell you, they will give you a refund. Sometimes they offered replacements. Countless times my purchases are delivered to any one of my neighbors even though my address is clearly marked on the mailbox that stands in the front of the house! Now my complaint is not receiving the item at all. I live 20 minutes from 3 distribution centers yet when I track my package, its status normally stays the same for days. It's at this time I know I will not be receiving my purchase at all!
Just recently I was informed I could get my item over night and it would be delivered 7am-11am. That time came and went. Then the status stated it would be delivered the next day. No purchase. Then it was the next day. I finally got ahold of customer service on the phone and cancelled the order and a prompt refund! What's the purpose of having Prime if they can't deliver when "They" say they will. Please note delays not due to weather or traffic!

Watch returning anything on Amazon, if you get to many they are supposed to warn you (no documentation they did) but they froze my account to only digital, I loaded all of my gift cards on there, now there is 200+dollars on there I cannot use, they are very rude and very short with me, I have gotten my bank involved to try to recover the money, they will not talk to my bank... Do not deal with Amazon anymore, and will not suggest to anyone. I will be out that money and they do not care, treat their customers very bad, this was the first time also, when they escalate the issue those are the worst people to deal with, they only want me to buy 200 digital, no I want my money back.

I have been ordering from Amazon for a few years. I haven't reported any missing packages however with my last order, I was sent an email days after placing my order indicating that I would need to give the driver a passcode in person, not through my security system or through text. This is not acceptable. I pulled up the tracking information and it stated the delivery time of 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM. I had duties at church so I arranged for coverage to be home for my delivery. Also, after dark, as an older single female, I don't want to be face to face with someone I don't know. Later, I checked the tracking again and it stated the delivery time of 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. The driver arrived at 3:50 PM just as I was coming out of the shower.
When I saw him on my security camera, he first placed a package from Zappos into my parcel box and went back to his truck labeled 'Hertz' so I thought, 'okay, this isn't my delivery from Amazon, wrong truck and not during the delivery window'. Then my phone rang, an unknown number, which like most people, I don't answer so coming right out of the shower, I went outside to retrieve my package. What a terrible experience! Amazon already has it's customers jumping though hoops for a return with all the questions or having to go to a locker somewhere to pick up items, now this!
The email stated this was due to 'high value items in the order'. Really, the total order for all three (3) items wasn't quite a $150. Are you serious Amazon! If you don't trust your drivers, don't take it out on your customers. People like me choose home delivery for many reasons, health limitations, mobility issues, safety, convenience, etc. This experience has me thinking seriously about placing more orders with Amazon.

I ordered a protein on 3/11/2025. It was advertised as overnight. I have not received it, and checked on the status since the 13. The tracking status since the 13 reads product schedule to ship 1:35 pm. The status has not changed and no further shipping status is available. Customer service has not given me any info on the delay and refuses to refund me currently.

Amazon has been going downhill. Not only am I finding cheap product that was highly rated, much of it can be purchased in better quality at stores. My biggest gripe is their review process. They say they want honesty, but if the seller was rude/lying etc or product defective chances are they will not post your reviews. Let’s talk about delivery. It says on their site if the delivery person has trouble finding you they will call or text. Most often I get products held or not sent to me saying incorrect address when it IS NOT. This leaves things up in the air and no knowledge of when or if you will get your packages.
There is a place to mark that the object never got to you and I have used it three times…. I have never gotten an am sorry, a contact by seller or anything so basically I am SOL and have to repurchase at my own expense. Amazon used to be better in all ways but has been becoming increasingly worse to the point I just don’t like ordering from them anymore.

Finally received refund.
Original Review: March 11, 2025
One of my orders was canceled by Amazon at the shipping stage due to a price change (the seller increased the price). I contacted customer service to find out what happened, and an associate advised me to place a new order for the same item, assuring me that Amazon would cover the price difference. Moreover, they wrote in the chat: "You can be sure that we will refund the difference, as this chat is saved." So, I placed the new order for the same item. For three weeks, I tried to get the price difference refunded, but no one ever intended to return it. Customer support just kept dismissing me. I believe the whole scheme initially involved an element of deception and a bit of fraud.

As a seller Amazon is scamming me out of my product. They approved a product for me to sell then when I sent a large amount of the product they restricted my product and told me I have to pay them triple what it cost me to send it to them, to get it back. They allow tens of thousands of this product to be sold daily but restricted me from selling the product after they allowed me to sell it in the past, sell out and then send them more. When I sold them in the past I only sent a small amount. They let me sell them. Now I send a large amount and they restrict them and won't send them back without me paying an outrageous fee.

The delivery driver keeps throwing my package on the lawn. He does not deliver it to my door. Then, someone picks it up and I cannot find it. There is no reason for this type of behavior. If you don't like your job quit.

The picture shows how inattentive the delivery drivers are. Sign on door is very clear and other deliveries seem to have no problem. There is even a second sign pointing to the correct spot for deliveries.

I frequently purchase from Amazon. Recently I have purchased canned food and on two occasions it was shipped in a paper bag. Not surprising that it arrived damaged. Multiple large dents in the cans. I didn't know if the damage occurred during shipping or previously. Most recently the canned goods came in a box with a pair of shoes, no additional packing material to secure the items. I find this very disappointing, and I have not found a place on the website to address packing/shipping problems.

I have been a Prime customer for years, which just adds to the frustration. Lately, their delivery and subsequent updates have been lacking. Significantly lacking. I have received FOUR different "updates" regarding my latest order regarding the anticipated delivery date. Now, I get weather delays and understand that you can't help Mother Nature causing havoc; but, that does NOT excuse what I've experienced. I have has my delivery date changed twice only to discover that the package hasn't left the facility for the PAST WEEK. I can't get a refund because the item has "shipped" so it's not eligible for a refund either. Amazon uses chatbots instead of actual customer service assistance, so you have to resort to this to air your frustrations. So, I'm out the $, don't have my order, and regret not using Wal-Mart.com instead.

Amazon was billing me monthly for five subscriptions that I was unaware of. When you purchase something like a movie to watch, you will be billed monthly after that. I was "rewarded" with two free audio books and I didn't keep reading where it informed me that I would be billed monthly for audio books starting next month. So the reality is I was rewarded anything for free from Amazon at all. It was only when I went to my subscriptions that I realized I was being billed for five other subscriptions that I was unaware of. Looking at my bank statements I assumed that the additional charges were purchases because I was buying something from Amazon fairly often. Getting rid of the con artists.

In the last few months, my orders are taking much longer than expected. Previously I would get most orders in 5-7 days, they are now taking 3-4 weeks to arrive. Even the most common items. Their excuse is the inventory in the warehouse is limited. I currently have a gift card balance to use but once that is gone, I will go back to purchasing from Walmart or eBay, better prices and faster delivery.

I encountered an unscrupulous seller who sent me a damaged item but refused a return. Amazon told me to return it using the A to Z guarantee and they would reimburse shipping, but then refused to reimburse shipping. I contacted their agent through chat. Two agents said they would reimburse shipping but then had technical issues, the third said he had successfully added the amount to my Amazon balance, but did not. Shipping cost me almost $100.

Order by Lauren ** All Amazon knows how to do is take your money. They don't take accountability for their mistakes. And I want to put on blast the EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE by these Supervisors - Cassie, Daniella and Alex. Daniella and Alex both hung up on me on separate calls - all they kept saying was there was nothing that they could do. I placed a large order for $76 and my form of payment was a Visa gift card. The order went through. After a few days, I learned that the order went to a Saved Form of payment on my account which was an actual credit card (not the gift card that I used). This was my mom's credit card. No one contacted me about this change.
This was my mom's credit card. When I called in initially and spoke to Cassie, she stated that she could not fix it by putting the order charge back onto my Visa gift card. But she did say that Amazon.com would issue a refund credit for the order without me returning any items. All 3 of the Supervisors could find no record of Amazon.com notifying me when they decided to charge another form of payment. They did say it should have been done. I expected the refund credit that Cassie spoke about in a timely manner. After 10 days with no refund on my mom's credit card, I called again and spoke to both Daniella and Alex (separate calls).
They both hung up on me when all I was trying to do was have Amazon.com follow through on the refund credit or change the Form of payment. They were no help at all and frankly just rude. Cassie did not follow through with the credit and Daniella and Alex did nothing but say "Return the items for a refund". For some items I did not have the packaging anymore to return the items (I was expecting a refund credit as Cassie was handling). Daniella and Alex had no response to me saying I was missing packaging after all this time. Everyone out there, stop using Amazon.com and buy elsewhere. This is a terrible company to use. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

Amazon used to provide excellent customer service. Lately, it seems to be relying on AI to do what humans used to do, and the results is disastrous. I've been receiving emails threatening to recharge me, and then actually debiting my account for items I have returned that they claim to not have received. Even though their own website shows the item either received or in transit. And no one from the executive offices will talk to you. When you send an email to the executive offices, you get a generic email advising that there is nothing they can do. Consequently, I have had to file a complaint with the State Attorney General's office.

Be careful if you start a free trial with Amazon prime. I canceled it (or at least I thought I did) by pressing "cancel prime membership" only to find that I was charged twice over two months because it hadn't actually canceled. The only way I was able to stop the membership was by removing my debit card from my Amazon account.

Ordered a vanity from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. The item was cheap garbage and also damaged. The company didn't want me to return so they sent me another vanity. I contacted Amazon customer service & told them I didn't want a replacement because it was so low quality. I returned the initial vanity and asked for a refund. The company ghosted me. I contacted Amazon customer service over & over. Each time I was told something different. No refund. I finally asked my bank for a charge back. The seller still sent the second vanity and no return label. I trashed it.

AMAZON has out grown itself and needs to scale down. 1 out of 10 orders get there on time or even close to the time they say for shipping. 98% of Prime stuff I send back for a refund because Amazon doesn't know how to deliver on time and then you have to argue with them to get your money back. eBay does take longer to ship but they are WAY better than Amazon. I lost all respect for Amazon.
