I used to love Amazon.com, but I’m noticing in the last year and a half the policies for returns and other things especially when they have sent a defective product has gotten sooo bad. For example, they have sent me defective products way more than once and when I call about that item either it being damaged or missing a piece, etc. they expect me to drive it to a local UPS or any drop off and I don’t live very close to any of those and as a customer that pays a membership and is a member of Amazon the whole point of Amazon is to send products so I do not have to get in my vehicle and go to the store or go to a drop off.
I understand if I purchased an item I didn’t like it and they asked me to go drop it off at a drop off center. That is absolutely reasonable but when you send a defective product and then ask the customer who’s paying a membership specifically for delivery, of which there is no such thing as prime delivery anymore because they don’t even deliver things within two days anymore, how is that right to send somebody a damaged product and then tell them to go and return it?!?! It used to be they told you to throw it away and they sent you a new one at no cost or they would have a UPS person come and pick it up but now they’re charging for UPS to come pick it up when it’s not even my fault that they sent me a damaged product to begin with.
This is what I have a very hard time with when it comes to wanting to stay with Amazon. This is horrible customer service and as of now I will be purchasing my items from local stores and no longer from Amazon as much as possible and maybe get to the point where I never use Amazon again because this is absolutely wrong and on top of it when you call about these things, the customer service all they do is repeat themselves it’s no longer genuine. If I could give this a -5 stars, I would.

So disappointing, the item is in the state destination but yet it’s a delay in processing my refund!!!! What a bunch of crooks! May consumers should boycott Amazon like we did Target.

Amazon used to be a good company to order from. Over the last 18 months though, deliveries have been late, incomplete, damaged, open and wrong more often than not. I find the same products cheaper in other places a lot and they also have free shipping in most cases. The convenience and savings they used to offer just isn't there. My latest delivery wasn't even shipped until a day after it was supposed to arrive. It was a Prime delivery of 5 items made on a Tuesday and nothing shipped until Saturday. When I tried to cancel the order on Friday, they said I couldn't. These were parts I needed for my business, I had to drive far and pay extra to get replacements on time. Now I have to find time to return these and wait 3-5 days for a refund after they get it.

This company is a joke. They do not care about customers. Main goal is to make money. They are so greedy and do not care about small orders or customers that are not Prime. Recently I order an item for $25 and took them more than two week to inform me that I’m not going to receive it at all. I wonder how many weeks take the company I can get refund. I’ll never use this company again.

Unresolved Complaints and Lack of Accountability. Review: I have been trying to resolve an issue with Amazon's customer service for weeks, but my concerns have been repeatedly ignored. Despite formal requests to escalate my case, I have only received copied and pasted responses from the same representative, Meagan, who claims my feedback has been passed to "appropriate teams." However, no evidence has been provided to support this claim, and no action has been taken.
I have asked for proof of escalation and the names of those who allegedly received my feedback, but these requests have been dismissed. This lack of accountability and transparency is unacceptable for a company of Amazon's stature. I am demanding immediate reassignment of my case to someone who can address my concerns effectively. Amazon needs to take customer complaints seriously and ensure that their representatives are held accountable for providing genuine support.

Amazon Prime membership is no longer worth the money. In the beginning we had Prime Video and music included in the membership price. Now you have to buy movies and purchase a separate membership to listen to the music you want to. Shipping was two days from date of order. Now, not only are we having to wait a week, but if an item says it will be delivered by a certain date they often change the date of delivery after you have already paid for it. And that’s if you get the item delivered at all. We have often had to call for a refund because the items we order are never delivered. Other companies including Walmart do a lot better.

Keep in mind? I bought an Amazon Basics product and I pay for Prime. It was supposed to arrive today. As of 1644 today, it is not here. I did receive a different product from Amazon. Why did they both not arrive on the same day? Keep in mind, Amazon has basically zero customer service. They provide zero contact info, but, if you persist and look outside of Amazon on other sites, you can find a phone number. Keep in mind, your call will be outsourced to a country that does not value customer service. They don’t even understand United States Law, or, why there are laws. really. Keep in mind, I have no higher expectations from Amazon. I just came here to rant. And, don’t even get me started on what they did to Whole Foods.

Amazon is hoodwinking customers. First they have customers competing for their Vine program by writing overly positive reviews in hopes of being selected. You have sellers trying to remove negative reviews or buy positive ones. I found webpages detailing how to legally remove negative customer reviews and sites touting 'I can get you 5-star reviews for your products '. Then yesterday when looking at my reviews, I noticed that all critical reviews of a seller had been crossed out by Amazon. This amazed me as Amazon insisted they shipped the products and were solely responsible. Yet I have an invoice that clearly states that Amazon was not the shipper of products during this time period.
It appears like Amazon wants to deceive customers. Potential customers need to be aware that Amazon allows sellers to remove negative customer reviews, accepts (and solicits great customer reviews through the incentives in Vine) and even alters shipper information in order to bear the brunt of customer outrage at shipping issues. I would be highly suspect of all product reviews on this site. I would also be hesitant to frequent Amazon.com because of these practices.

Refunds are very slow. You order and the product is not satisfactory for whatever reason. To make a return couldn't be easier. Simply take it to Whole Foods and drop it off. Amazon processes the return and gives you credit on your account. However they want to issue you a gift card, not a true refund to your account. When you try to contact customer service you find there is no phone published on their site. Once you find a number to call online, you get an automated response which is totally not helpful. Constantly asking to "speak to an agent" will eventually get someone in India or Pakistan. They are only partially helpful until you inform them that you will refer the matter to your Visa provider. They then tell you 5 to 7 days for a refund to your card. After you have already waited two weeks for the return to be processed, this is intolerable. The system appears to want to make sure you can't spend your money outside of Amazon.

If I could give Amazon zero stars I would. Over the past 12 months I've dealt with tons of 1,2,3 party sellers, some have been great, and some have been down right terrible, but the company I find that's the most terrible is Amazon themselves, it's not so much the sellers, as for Amazon as a company. First of all when I make order from Amazon they're usually large orders, so usually with large orders comes some sort of returns. I made an order for some clothing, sweats, some under garments for myself, and shoes and a handbag. First off, I returned the sneakers and wallet, and handbag all together, but they wanted my license, and wanted me to send a photo of it… Like I was a criminal, my family and friends who order from them regularly never in the years of ordering from them have ever been asked to send their license, but they have me twice.
I was sent wrong clothing items, and told they were right, and when I reached out to the seller, they told me they have been having issues with the fulfilment center at amazon, and sent me the right sweat pants which were reverse weave Champion pants, and we all know those are pricey. The undergarments they sent me gave me chemical burns, I did reach out to the seller, and the seller want me to try them again, I reached out through chat, and they wanted photos of my chemical burns…. No!! They're in a private place, so I call. I got this nice girl who actually spoke English, and she said I had to return the soiled underwear to Amazon, she said it was ridiculous and felt bad for even asking me to have to do that.
So here I am with no dignity sending back dirty underwear. For who knows to smell them. I swore to myself after that I’d never ever order again but what did I get for my birthday but an amazon gift card…. Yay! Not, so I ordered some coffee cups, Minecraft magnetic blocks that were $70, a hobo purse and wallet, and other items…. Yeah so the blocks had a coupon, I submitted my order after using the coupon. I pressed after the fact. It showed on my invoice, but did not take the $70 off my order. I talked to a agent, she seen the mistake unfortunately at the given point she could not refund me the 40% and to come back when I received the order and I'd get a 40% in my card, and she'd make a note so I wouldn’t be hassled…
Well…. With all devastation when I got these, these blocks showed two kids about the age of 4 playing with these blocks that looked decent sized, no, these things came in with tons of tape from the other customer that had them, who was probably just as devastated as I was, and these blocks were the size of marbles came in the smallest box, they are straight up choking hazards, I also order Minecraft Crocs charms and was given 2 false tracking numbers one for UPS and one for USPS, and delay after delay and I went to them with this information and amazon would not refund me, so I talked to a agent Marcos who was so nice and kind, who promised to refund me and i told him about the blocks, he’s like, "We will refund you $76.79, just keep the items on us, there’s been so much of a inconvenience already, your refund should be issued soon…."
Nothing, so I go back, and it's a straight up fight… I sent them screenshots of Marcos conversation, I was treated like a criminal. I told them about the agent and the coupon because they said I used it when I didn't, they overcharged my whole order by like $90 than what it should have been. I contacted the BBB, and the guy basically called me a idiot and Mohammed, I asked to speak to a. Higher up, he would not allow for me to, and I know they can because I have before. I went through my order and added up like 20 times and every time I get the same. So check your invoices.
So tonight I went on to start a return for a purse and wallet. Totals $64.99 together. Well they won't let me print my label, they're saying it's a 3rd party seller and they can't give me a label, this is a small company. It's shipped from amazon. They want me to pay to go to a ups drop off point, $6 for each item, but they want me to drive 2 hours to a ups store where it's free. Ummm I live in a rural area, it's never ever been a issue before for me to print a free label and return it to the ups drop off center point, know they want $6.99 a item. I've bought and return items from CLUCI before and never had a issue with this company, this is straight up Amazon being spiteful.
Some sellers I do recommend on Amazon are, melandsyd. They sell these beautiful Australian leather boots that are literally on the same level as Ugg, for such a affordable price, and I almost own there hold shoe line, absolutely love this company so much, also a company called Project Cloud. They're another footwear company, and they're so kind and nice, just like Mel and Syd. They're upcoming small business, you can find both of them on Instagram, project cloud you can purchase off instagram, Mel and Syd I don’t think you can order any place but Amazon, but they're great to deal with as sellers, and everything came in beautifully.
There’s a brand called Trendyqueen, know the seller won't answer back, however the product is very nice and similar to comfort dupes. LQQ sells an amazing 20oz coffee mug set… So your small business sellers are the ones that are great to deal with. But Amazon as a company no…. Check your invoices, check your credit cards, I was duplicated charged…. You do get some good workers who do their jobs, but the communication is just terrible and those workers get overpowered by the ones who don’t like to do their job, they rush though, sit down and really look at those receipts add them up. Screenshot everything…. The only way I'll order from Amazon is for some of those small business.
If I'm going to order a name brand I'll go directly to the site so I know it's a true licensed item, I've been sold so much counterfeit stuff too. So yep…. The ups guy came to my house one day and he told me they have a contract with Amazon, so it's free for them to drop off items and pick them up from customers and technically they're not suppose to be charging customers for pick ups, and I should see what they do to the elderly that can’t leave their homes, they get high charges for their items to get picked up, he said it makes him feel so bad, and he hates delivering for them and they're rude to the ups drivers.
I can go on and on. I've had tons of other altercations with them…. But this year it’s like the straw that broke the camels back…. Really! For real you’re going to charge your customer for a label for them to drop it off at a registered ups drop off site. But you want me to take it to staples that doesn’t do it anymore for free and I told her they didn't, like 3 times explained Kohl's is going out of business too… Like I told this chick they don’t do it. We are rural. The nearest ups store is 2 hours away. Like make it make sense. Idk. All I know is I feel like I've been treated like a criminal, and I have lost dignity. And this is completely not bias, but the foreign people they have working there are rude and mean…. They need more English customer service reps.

I have shopped online with Amazon for years as an Amazon Prime member. While Amazon as a company does offer many items for sale, and usually good estimated delivery times, AMAZON DELIVERY DRIVERS SUCK. Amazon delivery drivers have finally made the decision for me to cancel my Amazon Prime membership and never do business with Amazon again. Amazon drivers are given instructions for delivery AS WELL AS posted signs everywhere in our lobby AND STILL Amazon delivery drivers determine what's easiest for themselves. Moments after their determination of what they think is convenient for themselves, packages are stolen.
Over the past 2 years I have had every other delivery stolen within minutes of delivery. When I immediately contacted Amazon, they say to call back 2 days later to report the items stolen, just in case they miraculously reappear. Then you call back 2 days later and they ask you why you waited to call, suggest your neighbors or friends might have retrieved your package for you. After that is answered. They tell you, they will give you a refund. Sometimes they offered replacements. Why would a customer order a product or products if they only wanted their money to be held by Amazon for 12-14 business days before receiving a refund. Why bothering ordering products through Amazon.

Now my complaint is not receiving the item at all. I live 20 minutes from 3 distribution centers yet when I track my package, its status normally stays the same for days. It's at this time I know I will not be receiving my purchase at all!
Just recently I was informed I could get my item over night and it would be delivered 7am-11am. That time came and went. Then the status stated it would be delivered the next day. No purchase. I haven't reported any missing packages however with my last order, I was sent an email days after placing my order indicating that I would need to give the driver a passcode in person, not through my security system or through text. This is not acceptable. I pulled up the tracking information and it stated the delivery time of 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM. I had duties at church so I arranged for coverage to be home for my delivery. Also, after dark, as an older single female, I don't want to be face to face with someone I don't know. Later, I checked the tracking again and it stated the delivery time of 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. The driver arrived at 3:50 PM just as I was coming out of the shower.
When I saw him on my security camera, he first placed a package from Zappos into my parcel box and went back to his truck labeled 'Hertz' so I thought, 'okay, this isn't my delivery from Amazon, wrong truck and not during the delivery window'. Then my phone rang, an unknown number, which like most people, I don't answer so coming right out of the shower, I went outside to retrieve my package. What a terrible experience! Amazon already has it's customers jumping though hoops for a return with all the questions or having to go to a locker somewhere to pick up items, now this!
The email stated this was due to 'high value items in the order'. Really, the total order for all three (3) items wasn't quite a $150. Are you serious Amazon! If you don't trust your drivers, don't take it out on your customers. They say they want honesty, but if the seller was rude/lying etc or product defective chances are they will not post your reviews. Let’s talk about delivery. It says on their site if the delivery person has trouble finding you they will call or text. Most often I get products held or not sent to me saying incorrect address when it IS NOT. This leaves things up in the air and no knowledge of when or if you will get your packages.
There is a place to mark that the object never got to you and I have used it three times…. I have never gotten an am sorry, a contact by seller or anything so basically I am SOL and have to repurchase at my own expense. Amazon used to be better in all ways but has been becoming increasingly worse to the point I just don’t like ordering from them anymore.

One of my orders was canceled by Amazon at the shipping stage due to a price change (the seller increased the price). I contacted customer service to find out what happened, and an associate advised me to place a new order for the same item, assuring me that Amazon would cover the price difference. Moreover, they wrote in the chat: "You can be sure that we will refund the difference, as this chat is saved." So, I placed the new order for the same item. For three weeks, I tried to get the price difference refunded, but no one ever intended to return it. Customer support just kept dismissing me. I didn't know if the damage occurred during shipping or previously. Most recently the canned goods came in a box with a pair of shoes, no additional packing material to secure the items. I find this very disappointing, and I have not found a place on the website to address packing/shipping problems.

I have been a Prime customer for years, which just adds to the frustration. Lately, their delivery and subsequent updates have been lacking. Significantly lacking. I have received FOUR different "updates" regarding my latest order regarding the anticipated delivery date. Now, I get weather delays and understand that you can't help Mother Nature causing havoc; but, that does NOT excuse what I've experienced. I have has my delivery date changed twice only to discover that the package hasn't left the facility for the PAST WEEK. I can't get a refund because the item has "shipped" so it's not eligible for a refund either. Amazon uses chatbots instead of actual customer service assistance, so you have to resort to this to air your frustrations. So, I'm out the $, don't have my order, and regret not using Wal-Mart.com instead.

Amazon was billing me monthly for five subscriptions that I was unaware of. When you purchase something like a movie to watch, you will be billed monthly after that. I was "rewarded" with two free audio books and I didn't keep reading where it informed me that I would be billed monthly for audio books starting next month. So the reality is I was rewarded anything for free from Amazon at all. It was only when I went to my subscriptions that I realized I was being billed for five other subscriptions that I was unaware of. Looking at my bank statements I assumed that the additional charges were purchases because I was buying something from Amazon fairly often. Getting rid of the con artists.

Order by Lauren ** All Amazon knows how to do is take your money. They don't take accountability for their mistakes. And I want to put on blast the EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE by these Supervisors - Cassie, Daniella and Alex. Daniella and Alex both hung up on me on separate calls - all they kept saying was there was nothing that they could do. I placed a large order for $76 and my form of payment was a Visa gift card. The order went through. After a few days, I learned that the order went to a Saved Form of payment on my account which was an actual credit card (not the gift card that I used). This was my mom's credit card. No one contacted me about this change.
This was my mom's credit card. When I called in initially and spoke to Cassie, she stated that she could not fix it by putting the order charge back onto my Visa gift card. But she did say that Amazon.com would issue a refund credit for the order without me returning any items. All 3 of the Supervisors could find no record of Amazon.com notifying me when they decided to charge another form of payment. They did say it should have been done. I expected the refund credit that Cassie spoke about in a timely manner. After 10 days with no refund on my mom's credit card, I called again and spoke to both Daniella and Alex (separate calls).
They both hung up on me when all I was trying to do was have Amazon.com follow through on the refund credit or change the Form of payment. They were no help at all and frankly just rude. Cassie did not follow through with the credit and Daniella and Alex did nothing but say "Return the items for a refund". For some items I did not have the packaging anymore to return the items (I was expecting a refund credit as Cassie was handling). Daniella and Alex had no response to me saying I was missing packaging after all this time. Everyone out there, stop using Amazon.com and buy elsewhere. This is a terrible company to use. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

Amazon used to provide excellent customer service. Lately, it seems to be relying on AI to do what humans used to do, and the results is disastrous. I've been receiving emails threatening to recharge me, and then actually debiting my account for items I have returned that they claim to not have received. Even though their own website shows the item either received or in transit. And no one from the executive offices will talk to you. When you send an email to the executive offices, you get a generic email advising that there is nothing they can do. Consequently, I have had to file a complaint with the State Attorney General's office.

Going Thru the Setup Process, when I got to inserting the ink cartridge, error message, they sent me the wrong ink cartridge, wrong Instructions, and it suppose come with the CD. I did call customer service at Amazon.com. Just to let you know I had to call 3-4 times it was never resolved. Instead of offering to send me the proper ink cartridge, they offered me a full refund for the printer, but not to return. Ok., that's fine, used that refund and re-ordered the right ink cartridge for my Epson Workforce Pro WF-3820.

The only reason I'm still with chase bank is because of the Amazon rewards card. Otherwise, I'd get rid of this bank immediately. What a SCAM Amazon has become, from its beginnings where their #1 priority was 'customer service' HA!...now it's become "no customer service"! When I placed this order $9.47 was taken off my debit card & $5.00 from my gift 🎁 card balance. At this point, Amazon took the $9.47 & my bank statement showed ALL authorizations went through. Days later, AMAZON & not my bank went & CANCELLED the payment of $9.47. I called Amazon's Customer Service & I asked to speak to a supervisor. Whatever you do, do not order from Amazon.com. I would love to review the sofa for its fit, feel, aesthetic, etc. but I do not have that luxury! The sofa never showed up. We ordered it a week ago and had delivery set for two days ago. We got a window of 3:30-5:30 so we got rid of our existing living room furniture. After it didn’t arrive by 6, we called and were told they, "You will receive it tomorrow." Not great but whatever. We called the next day again and were told no deliveries were made that day because of a mechanical issue. No word the rest of the night one way or the other so we called the next morning. We were told there was no driver and so no deliveries were made. If you’re keeping track at home, that’s three different excuses.
We were told, "You’ll get it seven days later" now that they messed up! We talked to managers and regionals and they got it set for this morning between 7:30-9:30. Again, not ideal but sure. 10:00 came around and we finally got an email that said, “sorry, there was a delay and your item won’t be delivered today.” I called in again and was told it never got loaded on a truck And your order cancel, Amazon should be embarrassed. Go to an actual furniture store because clearly amazon cannot handle such an order. Luckily, we were offered $25 in credit!

Amazon has gone way downhill over the past couple years. I can’t rely on packages being delivered on time, can’t rely on the condition of the items being in good shape and I can’t rely on customer service making it up to me for the company's mistake. Better off buying the products you like straight from the company that makes them because they’ll have better shipping practices than amazon. Amazon blatantly doesn’t care at this point.

Back in late September 2024, I ordered a watercolor palette bundle for around $45 separately. These palettes were approximately $20 and $29 apiece. I received my order two days later, which was incomplete. There was only one palette in a plastic bag. It appeared to be a return sent to me instead of brand new that I ordered. I immediately called Amazon to let them know that one of the palettes was missing. The service rep. told me she was so sorry for the inconvenience and would re-issue the order as soon as possible and to go ahead and keep the smaller palette for the inconvenience. I didn’t think much because they had done that before. OK I’m thinking that’s cool. I received my new order a few days later and everything was good.
Well here we are in December and I have a charge on my bank statement for $47.73. I called Amazon to see what the heck was going on and they said, "Oh you never returned the items so you’re now being charged." I said, "Wait a minute. The service rep told me to go ahead and keep the smaller item that was delivered and everything was good" then they said, "No you were supposed to return it" and I said, "How can I return something that was incomplete?" They said there was nothing they could do about it. I asked to speak to a supervisor who was rude and told me the return window was closed in late October so they were charging me full price.
I asked them if they could charge me for the $19 palette that I received. They said no. How can they charge me almost $50 for half an order? They were using the return window loophole which I didn’t even know existed.. I called back to speak to someone else and they kept giving me the runaround: “Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do for you.” I was livid. I asked again asking how they could charge me almost $50 for a $19 palette. They said there was nothing they could do again because the return window had closed and I never returned it even though I was told to keep it or throw it away.
I looked at the records and sure enough it said that I received the wrong item so I had to return what I had received and I told them it was not a wrong item. It was an incomplete order! Again, they didn’t want hear it. The first supervisor dismissed me. The second one said, "Sorry." Mind you I spend thousands of dollars on Amazon. I am so upset right now I’m going to dispute the charges with my bank on Monday. It’s the principle of the thing. I repeatedly told them I would pay for the $19 palette that I received, but they wouldn’t hear it. How can they do this? How can they charge me the full price if the original service rep told me to just go ahead and keep the small palette for the inconvenience and now three months later they’re charging me almost $50 for a $19 palette after I had already paid for it in the first place. So bottom line is they have charged me almost $100 in total.

Did you know you can be locked out of your Amazon account? The computer decides if you have accessed your account too much, and the computer decides when you can have access again. At least that is what I was just told by a very curt, somewhat condescending member of the Account Change Team. I wonder if the computer realizes almost every time I access my account I buy something? And that just today Amazon has lost more than $300 through my attempts at shopping that the computer would not allow?
And just think! This is what the world is welcoming—computers, AI—telling human beings what they can and can’t do with their hard earned monies. NEVER before have I heard such foolishness or had this experience with Amazon. I have been a regular customer since before the pandemic. In fact it was the pandemic that encouraged me to shop Amazon more. Guess it’s time to get back out, shop local, and find some better bargains. And the rating of 2** is only because in my day of disaster with Amazon I met several nice folks in customer service who do their best to make this foul company look good.

Amazon.com decided that there was unauthorized use on my Amazon account without actually contacting me to ask me. That lead to no tracking numbers, orders being canceled, as well as them going ahead & shipping parts of the original orders. Which lead to me canceling what I could on the new orders. Which then lead to the IDIOTS once again deciding there was unauthorized use on my Amazon account never once involving me in the beyond stupidity that further evolved from these total imbeciles forgetting that humans can actually be in contact with the other human that owns the account to verify that yes it is them using their own Amazon account. Which then after dealing with incompetent idiots who obviously have forgotten how to communicate I'm now being charged for items that they never even shipped. Why would that be, you may ask??
Well, because unlike any other account I've ever dealt with they choose to outright lie to the account holder & make order information, including tracking numbers invisible to even Amazon customer service. The lie is when they tell you the tracking numbers were canceled. News flash you imbeciles. It doesn't take someone with half a brain to know that packages do not get delivered if tracking numbers are not on them. So obviously what did get shipped has tracking numbers. Then it falls on me to weed through all this incompetent pile of garbage they've created to contact my bank to figure out via screenshots from original order emails, what's shipped, & been delivered. How much Amazon charged me over that for items they never even shipped.
Well guess what you imbeciles. I get paid $46/hr for OT, so I'll taking that into consideration as well. This your job to actually listen when me the Amazon account holder contacts you for the millionth time it seems like in a few short days. That and don't charge for items you never shipped. He explained to me the only resolution would be, I would need to return both shipments (2 bottles) in a box with the UPS call tag he emailed me.
I confirmed and asked him if I was to place both bottles inside one box and using Amazon's provided UPS call tag he had emailed me. He said yes and after Amazon received the returns they would issue a refund. I wait until August 17th before I called Amazon Customer service again. He said no.
Jon said I would receive my refund of $100.17 within 5 to 7 business days. To date I still have not been refunded for items I returned, Amazon received 7/25/24. Amazon's customer service is terrible. The fact that I paid for a product, received only half then at Amazon's customer service direct I returned exactly per their instructions, and I am still out the $100.17. Back in the day false advertisement used to be against the law. Issues between Amazon and their Vendors really shouldn't be an issue for the customer. As a business Amazon should be more customer friendly, have exceptional customer service and resolve issues the way they should be resolved. Not make their customers pay for a product they don't have.
Lesson learned, Sometimes businesses just get too big they fail to care about their consumers. I could try to call them again, but their system and website really isn't user friendly in a situation like mine. Who knows which customer service agent you will get? I personally have better things to do than to sit on a phone, pushing the correct # then waiting for someone to answer, tell them the details of my issue and then potentially risk being hung up on again and definitely passing me onto some other Amazon customer service agent who will lie anyway. Kudos to Amazon. They certainly know just how to make money.

Far from perfect, Amazon consistently overcomes obstacles to maintain its position as the global leader year after year. For a business of its size, one of the most impressive aspects is its ability to adapt quickly while maintaining a high level of service quality and professionalism, even in the face of intense competition. There are occasional minor issues, but overall, Amazon.com excels in nearly every area important to consumers, including price competitiveness, delivery and returns, customer support, financing, and availability. Overall- highly recommended!

The items were delayed at customs for weeks. I requested a cancellation. The third party seller denied the cancellation. The items finally arrived damaged. The third party tried saying the batteries were not installed correctly and they were all three items ripped and worked for five minutes and stopped. Amazon refused a refund and said I had to ship them back to Hong Kong. Ok no problem but what if it gets delayed at customs? Then I am still without my refund. Buy somewhere else! Don't trust Amazon. They do not back their customers or do checks on these third party sellers.

Then a few days later they said they had blocked and disabled my amazon account due to suspicious activity. When I called about it they said they couldn't tell me they didn't know. So first of all , how can you cancel or put my amazon account on hold and freeze it if you can't even tell me why?
Then on July 3, 2024 they did just that, put my account on hold. Never gave me my refund of my product even from the gift card, knowing I can't use the gift card because they blocked it. Then on July 4, 2024 on my suspended account that is on hold, tell me why amazon took it upon theirself to charge me $14.99 for amazon prime, and for the previous month of June as well, when I never signed up for amazon prime. Now for the month of August they keep trying to charge my card $14.99 and I have to decline. Amazon is fraudulently taking money out of my account for a Prime when I can't even get into my own account. I want my money back and my gift card amount back to my bank asap. This is fraud. They asked me to contact customer service in the evening in case if the product is not picked. I did as per their guidelines upon which a customer service agent answered my call in my career have come across so many people working in customer service but never ever came across a girl like her.
She has been very rude towards me from the beginning of the call. When I asked her why is she rude, she never answered. When I asked her to connect to the superior she gave a reply which was not easy to believe. She said no superior available and she cannot connect my call. Again when I asked why is she so rude she simply said, "As the customer is not having any further concerns. I am going to disconnect the call." This is what she said thrice and straight away she disconnected my call. if you guys are delivering good products no one has free time to request for return or refund. I have been wasting my time trying to contact customer service placing return request asking for refund which did not happen until now.
Upon asking to share the complaint number the customer service people keep on saying they have emailed me which I never received. Upon asking they said they are not authorized to share again and again. I am sure there was no complaint raised. I never received any call from the team lead which they mentioned they will organize. If you need more proof I have the call recording of the customer service person who was very very very rude, also they are working from home not from office as all my previous customer service people. When I contacted I can hear the background kids crying and sounds from kitchen and one customer service person was literally asking their family members to be silent as she was on a call. It is now 100% all about Amazon, self serving. Late deliveries are common. Poor product quality is common. Prime delivery is inaccurate. Lost deliveries is still common. The price of prime is equating out to just paying for delivery as their other features such as music and video lack a positive experience (I rarely use prime video any longer). Will someone please do something about Amazon.com? What they are doing is not right and I don't see how it can even be legal. But everyone seems to be scared of the monster. They have stolen several thousand dollars from us. They say we were involved in illegal activity so they're keeping thousands that we legitimately earned selling legitimate products, and they know it. But they claim that we were selling drugs. They have zero proof, and indeed can't have any proof because the accusation is completely false. Any reasonable intelligent person who spent two minutes researching the product Amazon says is a drug would conclude beyond a doubt that it is not a drug.
Please do something to help me get my money. Losing Amazon sales was 75% of my income, then them stealing thousands on top of that is salt in the wound for sure. This is an extreme hardship on my family, especially since the allegations are false and are apparently based on guesses on Amazon's part. Amazon has enough money, they really don't need to steal more! I am far from the only one. I see hundreds of stories like this, involving millions of dollars and merchandise (they also steal anything you have stored there if you're unlucky enough to have trusted them with your livelihood).
I realize that everyone is either scared of Amazon or has been bought by Amazon (like the senator who squashed the bill trying to reign Amazon in a little). But someday someone needs to step up and start the fight against this supremely arrogant monster. I, for one, and not going to rest until justice is done and Amazon is forced to pay out all the money they are stealing on a daily basis.
BOYCOTT AMAZON! 1) Disburse our money immediately with a 100% penalty for their false accusations. 2) Disburse to everyone from which they've stolen money and/or merchandise those funds and/or product with a 100% penalty for their false accusations. 3) Disburse to me $800,000 for the next five years of lost revenue. They really should disburse twice this amount as well.

My wife and I both had Amazon Prime accounts before we were married, then just started using her account for Prime, no reason for two. In my account I have a gift card balance that's been there for over a year, and they won't transfer it, and I won't spend it to pay more and have to pay for shipping too, so it will sit forever in my account. One would think Amazon would want that money, and probably millions of other dollars that are being held hostage as well. If Amazon would let people transfer the gift card money to someone else, they would spend it and Amazon would make that money, such a dumb policy!

3 days ago, I ordered a book, promised in 2 days. Today is the 3rd and it's still not here by 930 p.m. Called Amazon, and the automated voice said it would be here by 8 p.m. What a crock--this is not the first time this has happened to me since I have been a "Prime" member". When I called- I talked to an agent in the Philippines. When I asked for a supervisor, the agent stalled and stalled. Finally, I spoke to a Supervisor, who said that she was SORRY. Realy?? Sorry-what do you want me to do? I said, "What can you do?" She said the only thing she could do is refund the cost of the book. Doesn't really compensate me for the $120 yearly fee and the many calls. Future customers BEWARE! Just Saying.

There seem to be two weights and measures for setting up shop with Amazon.com. One for the local (read: **) people and one for the international (read: **) sellers. I recently helped someone local setting up an Amazon Seller’s Account. What a tedious, strenuous experience. Lots of documents and information required: driver license, proof of residency, bank and credit card details, business address, description and references, verified phone numbers and email addresses, name of business owners, company representative, nationality, etc…etc…etc… I understand, Amazon is protecting its brand and wants to weed out bogus operations to protect itself and sellers, right?
(1) impossible to contact the seller directly, no information about the seller is listed. Only the name is provided (let’s say ABC).
(2) contacting the seller is only possible through the Messaging Assistant who states: “I send your message to ABC”.
Since no response from seller is received, I contacted Customer Service Support for help getting in contact with the vendor directly. And here it gets juicy. The Agent also did not find any contact information about seller ABC. Agent escalated the question higher up to a Lead Agent who came back empty handed. No information is available about company ABC.
How is that possible? Since I experienced personally how though the vetting procedure is to set up shop on the Amazon platform and all the verified contact details that needed to be provided before a sellers account can be opened, here is a third party vendor (read: **) company ABC selling on the Amazon website and nobody knows how to get in contact with them.
In the meantime and that because of the staggering complains about their faulty product(s), company ABC changed its name into XYZ apparently without any scrutiny by Amazon. That way, company XYZ does not need to reply to complains about products it did not sell. They keep selling same unsound products using same templates on the Amazon portal. It’s obvious that the screening by Amazon is non-existing. Corporate greed towers above buyer’s protection. Permission is given to Chinese companies who can distribute their cheaper but faulty products to us and unaware Americans are left behind holding the bag. Time to wake up people! Buy local (read: American)!

Amazon is becoming the most scammy company ever!!! I’m so appalled! I recently ordered a clothing steamer that was completely ineffective. It didn’t do a darn thing! I posted a review simply stating that it was ineffective, following all review guidelines, and they rejected it twice! I’ve been calling for an explanation and they are totally ignoring my concerns. Their code of ethics is questionable. I now see how much these reviews are being manipulated. I guess companies are paying them to hide the negative reviews. So unethical it makes me sick.

I don't know what happened to Amazon. They used to be on time every time. Now, I may not even get my package. They will deliver late, to the wrong address etc, I ordered 2 things on same day the other day. One of these products was supposed to be delivered same day between 2pm-6pm. The only way to get that deal was to spend at least 25 dollars. So, I had to buy something else. The other product was supposed to be next day delivery. Well, the same day delivery was about 3 hours late. And the other product was supposed to be next day.
I got an email from amazon saying that not only would it be late, but it was going to be another 3 days late!! How is that possible. How can any product listed as next day delivery be 3 days late!. This has been a recurring thing when I order from amazon. I won't pay extra anymore for faster delivery, it rarely makes a difference. This could just be an area thing too, maybe the drivers in my area just suck, I don't know. I think amazon has just got too big and they just don't care about being on time.

However, in the past year (it's May 1, 2024 today) all the wonderful things I used to be able to say about them are gone. Their customer service sucks, the people in the returns department clearly cannot read or scan properly (I have returned multiple items in one shipment a few times this past year and each time I am told by Amazon I didn't return everything). So I started looking into it and called Amazon, they transferred me to an audible representative. I finally spoke to a supervisor who told me that I have been being charged this amount for the last 4 years. I told him that I never signed up for audible, he said that after 30 days of free membership that the start charging you monthly. Amazon has forbidden me from writing any more reviews because they don't like honesty. When a vendor is absolutely terrible, when the product is absolutely terrible, when the book is absolutely terrible they don't want to hear about it. They want you to write reviews full of pussyfooting and Lies in order to accept them. I used to spend tens of thousands of dollars a year On Amazon but I will never spend any more money with them ever. Since none of their reviews can possibly be considered honest, I recommend everybody avoid Amazon and absolutely do not base your purchases on the review process. Their reviews are a complete joke.
Most of the health supplement products are a complete joke with ingredients that do not do what they claim They do frequently those ingredients will kill your dog or cat or even if you're taking this supplement. I could talk for hours about the horrible products on this website and the many reviews I have written which they have rejected because you're not allowed to say bad things. You can give them a one star review but God forbid you give them the truth.
They also seem to be in an unholy alliance with JD Vance who evidently can't handle negative reviews of his horribly racist book ** elegy, so I have been slapped down for pointing out the poisonous ingredients in dog treats and human foods and for criticizing the book of the US senator who no doubt has some kind of deal going with Amazon. His book Is an atrocity of racism and ethnicism that should be pulled off the shelf of every library in this country, but Amazon won't even let you give it a negative review. Interesting arrangement they have there. And if a Company completely screws you over you're not allowed to mention that.
In other words only nice words are allowed in Amazon reviews which means all of their reviews are utterly worthless. That was already evident because pretty much everybody opens the box and says cool and write a positive review without even knowing if the product works or is deadly or not. Using my medical knowledge I am trying to warn people about the more deadly products they have on their shelves but now they have blocked me so people are going to continue to die buying products on Amazon from horrible Chinese companies that include all sorts of hideous ingredients.

I was pleased with Amazon Prime in the beginning but now over the past 2 years it seems like they have problems with everything. I ordered some stage clothes I was going to wear in a show I was playing with a band in LA. I selected next day delivery as a Prime member and now it's over 2 weeks later and still no delivery. What really worries me is that I pay my card down to 0 every single month. It's an Amazon-secured card with $1000 limit. The past 2 months I paid my balance off in full as I always do, but these last 2 months they claim that I need to change my payment method because my payment was declined! They took the money off of the card but won't send my items. I find it odd that they only do this with the expensive items. The little 20 and 30 dollar items get delivered but not the ones over 100 dollars. This is no less than stealing.
They are keeping my money and trying to double-bill me with another card when the items have already been paid for. They disconnect calls when I try to get ahold of customer service after they put me on hold forever. I no longer trust them and will be taking my business elsewhere. I also read that they make it impossible to cancel Prime memberships and keep charging you monthly fees. I'm going to cancel all my cards I have on account and be done with them. They have really gone downhill and are no longer trustworthy. Why a multi-billion dollar business would resort to these scam tactics is mind-boggling. People like myself won't tolerate it and eventually leave. Don't they get it that you can't treat customers in this manner and expect to keep them? Obviously not.

Amazon preaches about ethics and transparency, especially when it comes to their reviews but little do many realize they actually delete reviews that unfavorable on THEIR products. They do this by using their review policies in their favor. I bought what they claimed were dimmable light bulbs to replace those that burnt out, their light bulbs did NOT dim after installing them, Amazon sent a blanket response, stating they tested the products and it worked as intended, then they removed my negative review. If the bulbs don't dim after I install them, then they don't dim! It's as clear as that!! And Amazon is not allowing the consumer to objectively rate the products based on their use and in doing so falsely rate their products to entice more sales.

Amazon increasingly the last few years, breaks or loses packages in transit while it's still in Amazon's possession, causing them to return it to themselves without ever having attempted delivery and then want you to pay more to re-order because of loss or damage they did in transit i.e. because of their incompetence.
They do refund what you paid, but it takes several days to get your money back and you have to reorder, now not only having to wait longer to receive, but often the items will have increased in price. There is no option to have them simply send again what you already paid for and never received & you are SOL on having to pay more now, when it is 100% their negligence that caused the items to get lost or damaged in the first place & and never attempt delivery. They even cover up for themselves on their losing or destroying your package and never delivering.
1.) The customer's order will say lost in transit, UNTIL they issue the refund, But then magically changes to say Buyer refused delivery. I've waited weeks past when should have been delivered, with it saying might be lost, your only option is a refund or you'll be out the money and waiting forever, but whenever you accept a refund, well now YOU refused delivery.
2.) When it says damaged in transit & being returned to sender (Amazon), then after they refund, all you can see then is a notice that will say there's a few possible reasons for the refund, most listed will be the customer's fault, and it doesn't specify which caused the refund.
So they never leave a recorded way for you to look back and see the number of times they have never delivered your items THROUGH NO FAULT OF YOURS, BUT BECAUSE THEY KEEP LOSING THEM IN TRANSIT OR DESTROYING THEM IN TRANSIT. And I'm talking about still in Amazon's possession, never even handed to USPS or UPS, yet won't give you the option to have them send it again, WITHOUT HAVING TO REORDER AT A NEW HIGHER PRICE!!!
Stop increasingly losing and damaging packages I order and never delivering them or let me choose to have it sent again when you lost or damaged it and never attempted delivery and at the same amount I already paid. Just send it again!! You are the one who caused it to not get delivered the first flipping time! Not Me! I shouldn't be repeatedly financially punished for your incompetence!

The issue I encountered is quite simple - Amazon is collecting Import fees on products below the tax Threshold. They claim the product gets free shipping but then they collect a tax, that is not going to be collected by customs, which is higher than the original shipping fee. Once being called upon with the customer service - started a chain of two weeks moving me from one rep to the other which none could help. Until today. 43 min on a call and the supervisor couldn't help and transferred me to wait for an answer from the same department that didn't help twice before. My guess is that they don't want to help/solve this problem, because it makes a nice free profit.
