Wayfair, the online furniture retailer, will open its first brick-and-mortar furniture store next month.
The company announced that its first location will open in Wilmette, Illinois, on Thursday, May 23. The 150,000 square-foot store will provide consumers with just about everything they need for home decor, furnishings, and more.
“The store is a one-stop shop for all things home – including furniture, home decor, housewares, and home improvement products, for any style, space, or budget,” the company explained. “Shoppers are invited to attend the grand opening and take advantage of exclusive deals and family-friendly activities during the opening weekend.

The brick-and-mortar Wayfair location will be one of the largest home and furniture stores in the country. In addition to home goods, the store will also feature an onsite restaurant called The Porch.
The in-person location will feature all of the same brands and items that consumers have come to find on Wayfair’s website: Wayfair, AllModern, Birch Lane, Joss & Main, Perigold, and Wayfair Professional.
Virtually everything that shoppers have come to expect from shopping at Wayfair online will be available in the store. This includes inventory, as well as the sales and discounts that are available on the site every day.
Some of the features of the store also include: a mattress selection, a market square full of textiles and decor, and a design studio that offers free advice and inspiration from Wayfair’s design experts.
