Safe Travels Moving & Storage Reviews

Yesterday, 5 days after the agreed delivery date, we FINALLY got a phone number to the carrier. We learned that the absolute earliest we will get delivery is August 2 and there is nothing we can do about it. This is totally unacceptable!!!! And total refusal to talk to a manager or anything…. As if this is a one man company. Total disgust!!!! I will not put a copy of my bill here as I believe this company is already mad and intentionally delaying my shipment moving from Iowa to Utah. I believe adding a bill will guarantee my furniture disappearing forever and I will never see my stuff again.

This company is beyond frustrating and honestly just plain evil. They take advantage of families in vulnerable situations and STRAIGHT UP lie to them. After booking with Safe Travels (an agent named Karen **) assisted me. I began to do research and found some conflicting reviews so I went to cancel my booking with her. Sure enough, I was transferred without hesitation to a manager who basically talked me into continuing my booking and told me I would receive my belongings in a period of 7 days. He said he reached out to the actual truck company and said they could accommodate this. I am 100% positive this was a complete lie and hustle. I am sorry but 7 days does NOT just turn into nearly 30 days.

Let me be clear, I am in no way upset with the actual drivers and packers of the moving company. They were SO nice and beyond helpful/quick and on time with the move. I am upset with the actual Safe Travels Moving company out of Deerfield Beach, FL, lying to me and stating that I would have my belongings at my new location within 7 days. We are going on almost ONE MONTH and still no sign of my belongings. Still no sign of even where they are LOCATED!!! I pleaded with this company telling them I have 3 small children and will absolutely need my things. If I had known it was going to take any longer than 7 days I would have cancelled as planned. This company is very manipulative and are in the business just for the money. They do NOT in anyway think about or care about their customers.

In addition, I have left several messages with both Karen and their other employees trying to figure out where our belongings are, and have not received any straight forward calls back. In fact, Karen ** herself, has not once called me back or tried to get in contact with me. This company will also reach out to you the day before and try to state that you have more square footage than was initially accounted for. They tried to tell me my new quote would be nearly $10,000 as opposed to $5,000.

What is even more funny, is the guy I was speaking to told me we would need not one but THREE Uhaul trailers to allow for my approximate overflow square footage. They went off of what I listed to them. I told him it did not seem like I needed that many extra trailers and I was sure I could fit it into one (plus my husbands truck bed) and get rid of any excess belongings, if needed. Sure enough, my mother, husband and I were able to fit all the remaining belongings in ONE UHAUL TRAILER (largest size as planned). Yes, it was a tight fit, but this company literally tried to coerce us into paying an additional $5000.00 to fit this extra stuff. UMMM WHAT? I literally told them at that point its more so worth it to just purchase NEW rather than to hire their completely UNRELIABLE company! BTW the Uhaul trailer only cost $500 as opposed to the $5000.00 the moving company was trying to charge us LOL!

I could go on and on. BUT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF LIFE, DO NOT USE THIS MANIPULATIVE, MONEY HUNGRY COMPANY!!!!
