    Horrible company. No communication based on packers' limited English. Upcharged excessively with no explanation. Broke items. Did not wrap or box couches. Stood them on end direct contact. Company stopped communicating after signing. Should have done my homework.

    Had a horrible experience and company offered to pay for a good review after my first review. I did not take it or follow their direction to change review. After 6 months now, I am still missing items that were packed to be shipped. I just shake my head, and ask God to remove the thought of this company from my mind. I pray no one uses this company for long-distance moving. Even making final payment was shaky - it cost me additional to get a postal money order to pay them and so many of my items were missing. I hope they got good money for household items, school supplies and family games.

      This place seemed very shady from the get-go. There was only one person who ever picked up the phone. Right after I shared my credit card information to book a move, I got the first scam charge that I've ever gotten on that credit card later the same day. I had to cancel my credit card of course. I then called back Rapid Interstate Movers to cancel, and I was within the 48 hours stated on the agreement. (The agreement was also exactly the same template as another company I checked out, which seemed suspicious.) The woman I dealt with told me they would issue the refund in a few days. It never happened of course. I had to then dispute it with my credit card. Eventually through my credit card's dispute I was issued a refund -- 3 months later. All of this took up so much time, energy and stress. Not worth it.

      Guys did a great job. Everything was well taken care of, timely and my boxes were fine. A couple broken glasses but that may have been on me. I’d definitely recommend this to someone else making a long distance move.

      I used this company for a move from SC to Al. The initial process with Kristin was excellent. She went over everything for the process and answered any and all questions I had. Everything was straight forward. Even though I didn’t use it but they offer a free 30 day storage option if you need some extra time to finalize your move. The day of my move, crews members arrived and quickly got to work. They were all nice and professional. The items I did not have boxed like furniture items, they wrapped each item with heavy duty blankets and moved it with absolute care.

      At my new address, the crew arrived and got right to work. They asked where I wanted the items set up and placed them in that location. They even assembled the furniture back. I didn’t have to do anything. After they were done they cleaned up the items they used. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking to move. Even if you have a mover you're thinking about give Rapid Interstate Movers a call prior to your final decision. You will not be disappointed.

      I moved from Chicago to Middletown, Connecticut. The moving coordinator was good and responsive, and I got all the information I needed. The actual crew was good, too. They were pretty efficient and did a good job in terms of time.

      I am rating them a 4 though, because I had a couple of things that got messed up in the move. I had a metal storage shelf that's been bent, and I can't fix that, and a TV stand, but I was able to fix that.

      Rapid was honestly really good. I chose them because they were local, and my move was just an hour away. They did have to increase my quote when they came out, because I guess it was more work than expected. But, the crew was good and nothing got broken during the move.

      I was pleased with the people who delivered my furniture. They put up my beds together and did everything I asked them to do. However, a couple of my stuff got damaged. My bins were all broken up as well as some of my pictures, and my bed rail was bent. The price was reasonable but the move could have been a little better.

      The process in the beginning dealing with Kristin was excellent. She explained everything in detail. The crew showed up at my place and quickly got to work. They wrapped all furniture and handled it with care. The only complaint I would have is lack of communication with the crew arriving and delivering. I asked when it would be delivered and he stated, "By the afternoon the next day." I was moving from SC to Al so I left at 2 am to make sure I was there before they arrived since they left the day before. In the afternoon I had to call about the status and the driver told me they were in traffic and probably be arriving later in the evening.

      By evening time I still received no call so I called the driver and he said it would be delivered in the morning the next day. Since it was around 7 pm and I had no furniture which I thought I would have since being told. I had to pay for a hotel room for the night. The next day the crew arrived and quickly got to work. They arranged and assembled all items that needed to be. The only complaint again is lack of communication.
