How does Marble work?
To start with Marble, visit its website, choose the service you need and answer a few questions to help the company determine your needs. Marble then schedules an initial consultation, which costs $49 dollars, to discuss your situation and possible options.
If you choose to proceed, Marble assigns you a legal team — an attorney, a paralegal and a case manager — to work with you throughout the entire case. Unlike many attorneys, the company charges per service, not per hour, so you know your costs upfront.
The company also has an app that lets you manage your case while on the go. In the app you can see the status of your case, submit documents, talk to your legal team, view your payment information and more.
Marble services
Marble’s attorneys are qualified to practice in multiple areas of law, including:
- Family law: Divorce, child custody and visitation and alimony and spousal support
- Immigration law: Citizenship, green cards and work visas or permits
You can visit the company’s website or contact Marble directly for a full list of services.
How much does Marble cost?
Marble’s costs vary based on the type of case. The company charges per service, not per hour, and provides the full price for services upfront with no hidden charges or fees. The price doesn’t change throughout your case, which means you can call Marble with any questions without worrying about being charged more.
Marble doesn’t offer free consultations, but it applies the $49 fee for your initial call to the total balance if you choose to proceed with the company’s representation.
Marble also offers flexible payment options — you can choose to pay for services upfront or over time. Marble doesn’t require an upfront retainer for legal services, which isn’t the case with many attorneys.

Absolute nightmare of a business model. I paid Marble a massive upfront fee of over $5,600 for legal services. I never received a kickoff call, no one spoke to me, and zero actual legal work was ever touched. Exactly three business days later, I contacted them to cancel the service. It took them an additional 5 business days just to process that cancellation. Today, they sent a termination summary explicitly admitting in writing that every single contracted service (including drafting, filing, and serving) was completely "Pending" and unexecuted. Despite doing zero actual work, they are refusing to return roughly $3,000 of my money, attempting to only issue a partial refund of around $2,600. They are trying to pocket thousands of dollars for less than a week of computer-automated "onboarding" (which was ME uploading MY OWN documents) without providing a single minute of legal representation or human counsel.
Charging a massive unearned fee for zero completed work is a major ethical violation. I have already disputed the entire amount with my credit card company, and I have filed formal consumer fraud and ethics complaints with the FTC, the State Attorney General, and the State Bar against the contract attorney involved. Avoid this predatory company at all costs... They use an online "tech platform" app model as a shield to trap vulnerable people out of thousands of dollars.

I chose Marble.co hoping for a convenient online legal experience, but it turned into a massive headache that jeopardized my case and cost me thousands. The Attorney Experience: My assigned lawyer was nearly impossible to reach, taking weeks just to schedule an initial meeting. For a straightforward, uncontested divorce with no children, no 401ks, and a clear division of assets (house and cars), his strategy was minimal. When my ex-wife delayed signing the simple waiver and eventually retained her own counsel, my lawyer completely vanished. He refused to schedule a call with her attorney, leaving me stranded and stressed. I constantly had to deal with his paralegal, who only provided sparse, unhelpful answers.
Marble’s Complete Lack of Accountability: To make matters worse, the attorney marked my case as "closed" without setting up the next phase or finishing the job, effectively abandoning me while remaining the retained lawyer of record. When I contacted Marble to complain, they shielded the attorney, stating there was no recourse or refund because he had marked the case complete.
The Outcome: After two months of zero progress and immense stress due to this lawyer's laziness, I had to spend another $3,500 out-of-pocket to hire an independent attorney. The new lawyer will be able to finish everything in just a couple of weeks. I have officially reported this attorney to the State Bar. Do not be fooled by Marble’s promise of "online convenience." It is an expensive inconvenience that leaves you unprotected. Steer clear.

Hiring Marble Law was not just disappointing—it was one of the most costly mistakes I’ve ever made. When you hire legal representation, you’re not hiring a call center. You’re not paying thousands of dollars to leave voicemails, repeat your story to strangers, and wonder if your attorney even knows your name. You’re hiring someone to fight for your rights, your family, your future, and in my case… my children. That is not what I received. From the moment they had my money, the urgency disappeared. Communication was nearly nonexistent. Direct access to my attorney? Almost impossible. Getting answers? Nearly impossible. Reaching an assistant? Forget it. Every single interaction felt like being transferred, put on hold, or forced to explain my case all over again to someone who had no idea what was going on.
Then came the requests for additional money—with little to no clear explanation of what I was actually paying for. When you’re already vulnerable and fighting for your life, your children, and your future, the last thing you should feel is financially manipulated. I did everything they asked of me. Every document. Every payment. Every deadline. Every phone call. I held up my end. They did not. When it mattered most—when I needed strategy, preparation, urgency, advocacy, and someone willing to actually fight—the attorney assigned to me appeared distracted, unprepared, and completely disconnected from the seriousness of what was at stake. The issues I specifically asked to be addressed were ignored. The concerns that should have been prioritized were barely touched. The urgency my case deserved never existed. At one point, I genuinely felt I could have represented myself better. Read that again.
I paid for legal representation and still felt completely alone. Because of the delays, lack of communication, lack of preparation, and lack of real advocacy, I lost time with my children. I lost my license. I suffered life-changing consequences that I now have to carry long after this firm collected their payment. What hurts the most isn’t just what I lost. It’s realizing the people I trusted to fight for me never truly showed up. If you are a parent… If your livelihood matters… If your future matters… If your children matter… Please do your research before trusting this firm with your life. I can never get that time back. I can never undo the damage. And I can never recommend this company. Not for families. Not for serious cases. Not for people who actually need someone in their corner.

I retained Marble Law for representation in a family law custody matter involving my young child. From the beginning, I relied on the firm and assigned attorney to act promptly and competently due to the time-sensitive nature of custody proceedings. Unfortunately, I experienced repeated delays, lack of communication, and a concerning lack of urgency regarding critical filings and case management. Despite the seriousness and time-sensitive nature of the matter, the attorney did not demonstrate appropriate urgency in moving my case forward. I repeatedly had to follow up regarding filings, case status, and next steps, often without timely responses. I was left uncertain about whether important documents had been properly filed and whether adequate action was being taken to protect my interests in court.
In addition, I have requested an itemized invoice and accounting of services multiple times over the past month and have not received a meaningful response. This lack of transparency regarding billing and work performed has added further concern about the handling of my case and whether services billed were actually completed in a timely and effective manner. I ultimately lost confidence in the representation and terminated services. My hearing date was April 15, 2026.
I sent my declaration to my attorney on Feb 4, 2026 and on April 10, 2026 after constant follow up he said he never received it. There were numerous unanswered emails. My assigned attorney Aaron ** which I hired on January 13, 2026 never attached himself to my case or was so slow that my ex ended up serving me papers. The whole time the courts kept indicating I was self represented. Clients involved in custody litigation depend on counsel to act diligently, communicate clearly, and handle filings with urgency. In my experience, those expectations were not met.
I decided to write this review today because during the course of the last five weeks I have had to call and chat with Marble at least 2 hours a week. The only thing that they would tell me is that I would hear back in 1-3 days. That 1-3 days has now been extended to five weeks and at least 8 hours of being on the phone. I am being informed that I owe upwards of $6,000 dollars without an explanation. I’m a single mom working to fight for my son's best interest and my biggest regret during this whole process is trusting Marble Law Firm and Aaron ** who has provided me with no guidance whatsoever.

I hired Marble Law. Worst mistake I could have made. Paid $2500 through Affirm. Had 1 phone call with the attorney, he drafted the petition for divorce and that's all he did. After a week of trying to get in contact with him (going through marble law is the only option) he finally called back and said not to worry about being served by wife wife's attorney. I hired another attorney. After a court date was set, Marble law's attorney's paralegal finally called and promptly fired them for failure to communicate or render any service. I was told they would return any unused balance. They never did. Marble Law even sent a email saying my refund was denied. Now I have to pay Affirm the money and am filing complaint with both the Texas State Bar Association (Attorney location) and California Bar Association (Marble home office location).

I had high expectations partnering up with Marble, but unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. I hired them to file a divorce. Long story short, my partner and I reconciliate and I no longer needed their services. Despite not getting divorced, they are still making me pay the full balance even though I cancelled services prior to meeting in court and serving parts. In short, they only drafted my paperwork and think that is worth $4000+. I have tried to contact the finance department to only be charged for the work that was done, but they have turned a blind eye. They basically stole my money and because of this terrible experience, I would not use them in the future.

They will take your money and then never answer your calls again. The attorney we were assigned couldn't keep the facts of the case straight. He also charged outrageous fees on top of our service fees, which he claimed were "court filing fees", however, I checked with the court and they only charge $85 to file. Marble was asking for reimbursement for over $500 of miscellaneous court fees, and every time I asked what they were for, they didn't answer and sent me another invoice. This place is a joke, a bunch of crooks. Every request I made, the attorney told me to talk to Marble, and Marble told me to talk to the attorney.
Finally I asked to be assigned a different attorney within the Marble group, and they refused. So I had no choice but to hire a different attorney. Then when I requested a refund for services not rendered, I got another run-around for weeks - getting transferred here and there, and no one would provide answers. It was always "another department" that would handle it. They would "reach out", with no clear timeframe. We still have not gotten a refund. Save your money and your sanity and do not hire them.

I retained this law firm for a divorce involving domestic violence and children, expecting competent representation and protection. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. Despite clear safety concerns, I was left exposed to ongoing abuse. The firm failed to take adequate steps to protect me and my children, which allowed my abuser to continue harassment and intimidation. Since the case, my abuser has sent people to my home, made threats involving kidnapping and killing my children, and interfered with my employment, ultimately contributing to me losing my job.
Throughout this time, the firm continued to pursue payment while providing little meaningful advocacy or support. Their handling of my case left me and my family vulnerable and resulted in severe financial and emotional hardship. Given the seriousness of domestic violence cases and the stakes for children’s safety, I expected far more diligence, urgency, and accountability. I cannot recommend this firm to anyone seeking protection or effective representation in a high-conflict or abuse-related family law matter.

Paid a full flat fee upfront for family law services. I later stopped using Marble’s services on January 14 due to lack of transparency, lack of communication, and lack of progress. Only after that did Marble send a notice withdrawing as counsel. I was not clearly informed upfront how much each RFO (Request for Order) would cost, nor whether custody, visitation, alimony (spousal support), and attorney’s fees could be combined into a single RFO or would require separate RFOs with additional charges. After payment, I received no rough draft, no filed paperwork, no service, and no court date. In a later termination email, Marble confirmed:
Nothing had been filed or served, and
No hearing had been scheduled.
Despite this claim, no draft was ever shown to me. Communication was also problematic. When I asked to record phone calls for accuracy and documentation, I was told I was not allowed to record, so I ended the call and switched to email-only communication to protect myself and maintain a written record. When I requested a refund, I was repeatedly told it would take “2–3 business days.” Later, Marble sent a payment email stating they had adjusted the total fees based on “work completed,” but also stated they could not process the adjustment due to an ongoing dispute and would only honor it if the dispute was resolved in their favor. This created further confusion and delay.
As a client with a documented learning disability, clear, consistent, written explanations were essential. Instead, I experienced verbal statements that did not match written actions, no proof of work, requests for additional money, and delayed or conditional refund handling. I ended services because:
Full payment was required upfrontPer-RFO and combined-RFO costs were not disclosed
No draft, filing, service, or court date was provided
Verbal explanations did not match written outcomes
Refund and billing were delayed and disputed
Consumers deserve clarity, proof of work, and transparent billing—especially before paying legal fees upfront. I recommend proceeding with caution and ensuring all pricing, scope, deliverables, and refund terms are clearly documented in writing before paying.

Marble Law quoted $5,600 for discovery and later agreed to reduce the cost by $300 after discussing my financial situation. I paid $5,000 up front and was placed on a $75/month payment plan for April–July 2025. During this discussion, I offered to pay the remaining $300 immediately, but was told the payment plan had already been set up and that it was acceptable to make the four payments since no interest would accrue. I have since learned Marble Law configured the plan to collect the full undiscounted amount. They are not honoring the agreed $300 reduction and continue billing me as if the full balance were owed.
A customer service representative stated the recorded call would be reviewed, but no follow-up occurred and the billing has continued. I have also experienced ongoing communication issues with my attorney, who rarely responds outside of court filings. I reached out to Marble Law and clearly explained what I wanted — a legal separation, which is legally possible. They confirmed they could do it, so I paid $400 upfront and financed $4,000 at 35% APR through their partner lender. When the assigned lawyer (a man) contacted me, he had me fill out a divorce intake form where I again confirmed exactly what I wanted. Then he told me it “wasn’t doable” and didn’t make sense. I even revised my request to a divorce where both parties kept joint ownership of the home — again legally possible — but he dismissed that too.
After less than 45 minutes total with the attorney and one generic divorce form, I cancelled. Marble charged $4,200 and refunded only $2,970.90, leaving over $1,000 still owed on the financed balance, plus interest. They confirmed they could handle my case before taking payment but did not deliver what was promised. I’m still paying for a service that was never completed.

AVOID this firm at all costs, they are eager in the beginning to get your deposit but communication and professionalism from their team and attorneys is abysmal. The WORST legal experience we have ever had. Hire literally anyone else. My husband and I hired Marble Law on July 30th with the goal of filing for new child support and custody arrangements. He is an active-duty serviceman, and the Army was finally sending us to Colorado, where his young daughters live, and he wanted to file for significantly more time with them finally after several years forced to be apart.
We were assigned Jennifer Garcia as our lawyer and Brianna Keck as our paralegal after an initial call and everything seemed fine. Within a few days they asked us for some documents and his list of custody changes and on August 15th we were told he should have a first draft "shortly." But shortly turned into WEEKS until my husband had to email repeatedly for an update or call. Jennifer finally scheduled a call with us on September 17th, where she was also at a different appointment, she told us laughing, so we didn’t even have her full attention. At this call, she told us they had not even STARTED because she was missing some documents. At no point had either of them bothered to email my husband requesting the documents they were missing, and never would have if he hadn’t pestered them about an update. That same day we went to the clerks office and got the documents, emailing them out the next day.
A few more weeks go by, by now we are on week 9, almost 10, since hiring them, when he is finally able to schedule a 2nd call with Jennifer to discuss, on October 1st. At this call she was so unprepared that she had not even OPENED the email with the documents, spent several minutes looking for it in her mailbox, and only then did she complain that she was still missing things. Mind you, at no point had it occurred to her or Brianna to maybe type out a list of what she needs, this would be too much common-sense professionalism for them.
My husband then proceeds to fire her and call Marble Law to request a refund and to file an official complaint against them both. For the past week since this happened Marble has been avoiding any and all accountability, trying to instead assign him a new attorney but the same terrible, incompetent paralegal. My husband keeps having to call the office, speak to some customer service rep who assures him someone will call—they never do. They have currently issued him half of his deposit back, claiming he needs to be billed for the work done, but their own recorded calls will show that Jennifer herself says they never even began work on his case. This is completely unethical business. Throughout all this, we are now 11 weeks into this ordeal with absolutely nothing done on his case. A father cannot see his kids because the team at Marble is as utterly incompetent as they are unprofessional.
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand the frustration this situation caused. Your concerns were escalated internally, and a full refund was processed. We strive to provide timely communication and professional support to all clients, and we regret that your experience did not meet those expectations.
We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving the client experience and service.

Currently in the preliminary phase of this process and I am glad to have the support of an incredibly proficient legal team. The moving parts are coming together well. Always thought this would be a fight but the legal experts exhibit confidence and poise. Seems like they are here to justly apply the rule of law and seek justice. This case is based on two individuals who developed differing views on basic concept of kindness, respect and dignity. All the help and financial assistance provide quite recently has been forgotten, as one person decided to be the law of the land.

I had Brian ** as my lawyer and he made everything seamless and simple for me and explained everything to me in a way that made sense. He made a difficult situation easier for me. The Marble process was very upfront and straightforward and is easier to budget for because you know in advance how much you're going to have to pay.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re so glad Brian was able to make the process smooth and clear for you. Knowing what to expect financially and legally can make a tough situation a little easier, and we’re happy we could support you through it.

I paid the whole amount and when lawyer never called I asked for money back. They did nothing. They say they do. Do not hire them unless you want a headache then the lawyer didn't know what she's talking about. They will take your money. Don't hire them.
