Currently in the preliminary phase of this process and I am glad to have the support of an incredibly proficient legal team. The moving parts are coming together well. Always thought this would be a fight but the legal experts exhibit confidence and poise. Seems like they are here to justly apply the rule of law and seek justice. This case is based on two individuals who developed differing views on basic concept of kindness, respect and dignity. All the help and financial assistance provide quite recently has been forgotten, as one person decided to be the law of the land.

I hired Marble Law to handle my custody case, and it has been a complete failure. From the beginning, I was told that urgent filings were needed—a response to the petition, a counter petition, and motions for temporary relief. Months have passed, and not one of these things has been filed. There has been no progress at all.

What makes this even more devastating is that my attorney is fully aware that my daughter has engaged in self-harm and expressed suicidal thoughts. Despite knowing the severity of the situation, Marble Law has allowed months and months to go by with no movement, no urgency, and no results. This lack of action is not just frustrating—it is dangerous. My daughter is suffering while Marble Law stalls. Hiring them has been a huge mistake, and I feel completely abandoned. If you are considering Marble Law for a custody case, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

As a current customer, Marble is a scam. I am now locked into paying them 2000 dollars and have received nothing. It could have been 4000, but I balked at paying another 2000 dollars to get my Marble lawyer to appear in court for the case he was representing me in. It makes no sense, but that’s the Marble model. You pay them for each service. So if you ask for them to draft paperwork ($2000 in my case) there’s another charge for having the same attorney file the paperwork and yet another charge to have the attorney go to court with you to present the paperwork. They nickel and dime you worse than a Disney cruise. I also found out that the attorney they have representing me has a lot of complaints on file. Please learn from my example and pick another firm.

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way. Our model is a pay-per-service approach, which differs from traditional hourly billing. This allows clients to choose and pay only for the specific services they need, such as drafting, filing, or court representation. We understand this can feel unfamiliar, and your feedback is appreciated. We’ll use it to continue improving transparency and client experience.

My Lawyer assigned to my case was awful. Excuses were made of emails not getting delivered to her multiple times. Questions were not answered. I requested a refund and just received a flat amount which is not acceptable considering the amount of services provided. I have asked for an itemized bill. I have not received it yet. And doubt I will. I will be surprised if this review is posted but expect it will be deleted. I would recommend going to a local lawyer who maintains a brick and mortar place of business. Our 1st attorney filed an Answer & Counter Petition (WITHOUT LETTING US REVIEW IT FIRST) that DID NOT fully align with what we were asking the courts for in the custody modification. Upon being diagnosed with a medical condition, that attorney had to be changed to a new one. We advised the new attorney that the Answer & Counter Petition needed to be corrected. She said she would. Told us to send what we actually were seeking so she could fix it. It was never fixed and we were then told that service wasn't included, even though we PAID for the entire package up front, which did INCLUDE a counter petition.

So then, we get to trial and the court basically threw out the counter petition that we filed since our new attorney wouldn't file it. We had trial in July. By August 1st, our attorney had heard from the judge. We did not know the judge gave his ruling until today, 8/18. Because of this, we may have missed our deadline for a De Novo Hearing as the judge went completely against everything we asked for. No communication has been had from attorney stating the judge even gave his ruling.

After a brief conversation with the customer service representative that called to answer my questions and book an appointment, I decided it was worth the $49 risk to be able to have the flexibility of paying for and using only services I needed. Needed. The whole point is to save money and have help navigating the legal system. Being a stay-at-home mom for the only 30 years and having a chronic illness, I do not have an income. I was in a pinch, with an immediate deadline looming, and I was unable to connect with the lawyer I've been consulting with and planning to hire when needed.

I scheduled an appointment and was able to talk to a lawyer within a matter of an hour or so. I spoke to the lawyer for maybe 10 minutes. It was supposed to be a planning session. I thought that meant planning to help me through my current need. The lawyer told me that they could get my papers filed that same day, and someone would contact me shortly to discuss pricing. I could not believe it. When the customer service rep called me back. They wanted to charge me $2,000 to file forms that I've already done all the leg work on and completed. $2,000?! I was stunned. I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with the Marble team. I was charged $5,500 for a restraining order and temporary orders, yet the temporary orders never took full effect in court. Additionally, I was charged $500 for a process server, even though I could have hired one myself locally for as low as $175. These costs were excessive and not well justified. Communication was limited, progress was slow, and the outcomes did not reflect the amount I paid. I expected transparency and stronger advocacy, especially in a sensitive family law matter. Overall, I was overcharged for an uncontested case that should ended a long time ago. Also, the opposing party have been served not once but two times and the case was still ongoing after proof that the opposing party is unstable to take care of my child. After reading the one-star reviews, I finally understand why my experience with Marble fell short of expectations. Here’s what happened: I was assigned a lawyer and paid the full fee upfront for the service. Shortly after, I received a call informing me that there had been a mistake and the service recommended by the lawyer would actually cost more. I agreed to pay the additional amount since my court date was just days away and urgency was crucial. Then, on the evening before my appearance—just hours before—I was informed that they couldn’t find a lawyer available to assist in my area, despite one already being assigned. There was nothing I could do but accept the situation.

I was told I’d receive an email outlining our phone conversation, which at my own discretion, I could use as proof for the court that I attempted to secure legal representation. That email never arrived, leaving me empty-handed on both counts. The only positive note is that they assured me I’d receive a full refund for canceling the agreement—though I’m still waiting for it. I would never recommend this company!!!! I was so bothered with this process when the attorney I had did not know what she was doing. We went to court and the judge told her this is how our court works and she said "Oh I did not know that." Are you kidding me, you're the attorney. I seeked help and I was informed this would happened, this date would happened, I am doing this but every time I checked up on the attorney there was always a reason for why nothing was completed but filing the first part.

This attorney only filled out paperwork for a year to go by. I kept pushing for the process to be completed but she believed this and that when she apparently did not do her research for the county. I shared this information above her head to Marble Law, but with that also, they said we can do this for you but only for another couple thousand dollars... What a joke, when we got nowhere for the first court appearance, when we were informed I cant help you and you have to come back with the needed documents. Marble Law works off each step, you have to pay for each step of thousands of dollars. So you better make sure your attorney has everything for each court appearance.

I ended up firing the attorney and then also to proceed with the case, you have to court to get the attorney off the case to proceed.... Here I am stupid as can be paying only $10,000 back in payments for nothing completed but the first step of filing paperwork by somebody else. In the end, after she was discharged, I got everything completed myself with one court appearance and I got what I asked. Don't fall for Marble Law. Also this attorney, after Marble Law informed me it would cost thousands of dollars more... She offered me her services outside Marble Law for only $1500.00 to complete the job.

I had the absolute worst experience with Marble. They way overcharged me ($3k) to “draw up” the divorce papers, then I had to pay a separate fee to file them, then another fee to serve them. When my lawyer hired the process server, he served ME the papers instead of my husband! I told the lawyer this and her response was “it is on him to prove he was not served, not us.” So she was perfectly ok with lying to the court and putting my case in jeopardy. I told her multiple times I wanted him served the LEGAL way and I wanted it done with a different process server. It took her MONTHS to finally do this and only because I filed several complaints with marble asking for my money back because she stopped responding to me.

Every time I contacted Marble directly for help, all they could do was just tell me they’d send my lawyer a message to contact me, that was it. Then when she FINALLY hired a new server to actually serve him his papers, she tried charging me ANOTHER serving fee. It is not my fault the server didn’t serve the right person the first time. Anyway, I highly recommend going with someone else and NOT Marble. They are a complete waste of money. I ended up firing her and hiring another lawyer for a fraction of the cost who got the job done in half the time.

    Response from Marble Law

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Our leadership team has reviewed and addressed the concerns raised in your case. While we understand how frustrating this process was, we do want to clarify that the initial service issue stemmed from your own decision to accept service, which unfortunately impacted the legal process. At your request, we followed through with a second service attempt and regret any delays or miscommunication that occurred along the way. We wish you the very best moving forward with your new attorney.

This company along with the attorneys they have are a joke, I spent $4000 for James ** to respond to reply to my ex wife and acknowledged that I was being represented. However he wanted me to take her first counter offer without even looking into my case or returning any of my calls, I then reached out to Marble since I hired him thru them and they are just as bad. Please don’t waste your money or time with either Marble or James.
