I transferred my Rxs to Humana Pharmacy in 10/2020. I told them that I did not need a refill on my ** as I had just refilled at local pharmacy and doctor had cut my dosage in half. I took all of those pills from local pharmacy. Fast forward to 8/2021 and I opened the sealed ** from Humana and the smell knocked me over. It was very pungent and kind of petroleum smell. I took them to local pharmacy and the pharmacist said there is usually a slight odor to ** but never as strong as my pills. I called Humana to get a return envelope so they could dispose of drug properly. They refused saying I had drug for 9 months and it must have been something I did to drug that made the sealed drug smell. All I wanted to do is return the drug. I will have all scripts filled at local pharmacy where there is a pharmacist that will discuss any concerns that I have. I have to wonder if Humana is using off brand drugs or if they are made in China.
I have taken 5 different drugs all prior filled with Humana. They know when the drugs run out as I was told prior I couldn't order a refill because it wasn't time. I relied at this point on Humana to handle my drugs... One medication I take is for seizures and I ran out of this medication. I called Humana likely 5 times and was told to get an Emergency 7 day supply at my local Walmart. I went to the Walmart 24 hours later and they had one of the 2 drugs I was out of, but NO seizure medication. I said the hell with running back and forth and will just change my insurance plan next opportunity. My final advice is to find another pharmacy.
Placed a Rx order on 12/23/20. Order tracking said it was delivered on 12/29/20 in my mailbox. The order was...finally...delivered today, January 4, 2021. I tried for two days to contact Humana Rx. Was on hold for hours, disconnected twice and transferred to "another department" once. I heard their idiotic recordings and menus so many times I have them memorized...NOT THAT I WILL EVER USE THEM AGAIN! In the future, I will be getting my Rx from the local Walmart.
I've been a Humana Medicare part D since 2013. My first premium was something around $14.00 per month. I'm 72 years old but have relatively good health and currently take one drug, **. This is a low cost medication. You can use a prescription discount card and the cost for a two month supply is under $14.00 for a two month supply. Humana has been supplying me this drug for approximately $20.00 for two month supply.
I contacted Humana several days ago to ask a few questions one of which was how much my premium was. They responded that it was $56.00 per month with a $400.00 deductible. I asked why I was paying so much premium. They said they sent me an e-mail last October notifying me of this increase. I don't recall this e-mail and if I had would of looked elsewhere for medication part D. This is approximately $672.00 per year. Far more than the $120.00 that I now pay. This is outrageous and I can't seem to do anything about it. I will be looking for a new Part D carrier but until 1-1-2021, I'll be paying $56.00 a month. Far higher than the cost of this medication. I feel like I'm being ripped off.
If they have a problem with filling your prescription they might contact your doctor but they won’t bother contacting you. So you need to constantly monitor the website to see if it is still “in process “ after the 7-9 day period that they process your order. I’m on my first day without pain medicine in 20 years because I didn’t constantly check to see if things were going smoothly. Don’t depend on your doctor or pharmacist to care whether you get your medicine. Patients are slaves to these people.
All Immunizations for seniors should be covered the same as Flu shot. If seniors get shingles the person caring for them (lots of seniors are unable to do everything themselves and need caregivers) and others could be infected. The person infected could have nerve damage and suffer for the rest of their lives! I just had to pay $150 for the Shingles shot! Not right. I will NOT go with Humana RX plan next year. It is really difficult to know what the plan does not cover when you are searching for a new plan each year! And they keep moving Tier 1 generics to Tier 2 so we have to pay more!
I have spent 2 one hour conversation and 1 thirty min conversation with customer service about being proactive on an important RX. They said they would call me a week before to ok the charge on my account. After one hour of orchestrating this I never received a phone call. I call again 1 week before it is due and there is no record of my phone call. Now they tell me do not worry they will expedite the RX. 4 Working days later they call and say they are just processing the order. It is for a $372.28 RX. Now after another hour with Britney in customer service, I had to ask the same question 4 times 4 different ways with her still not understanding the question. Then I spoke with a supervisor, Shavanie, who still was not able to meet my needs.
I will be running out of an important medication and sine I called 1 month ago and 1 week ago, they want to now charge me to expedite the Medication. No record of any phone calls and I had to repeat everything. Worst company to work with. I am an R.N. and understand a lot about the medication. They certainly do not and do not provide customer service. Do not sign up with them unless you have a whole lot of time on your hands.
I, like so many other reviewers have experienced very poor customer service and zero satisfaction regarding my complaints about no notification of the plan change that resulted in my premium more than doubling this year. I filed a grievance with no response, so applied for disenrollment. Weeks later received a denial letter and told I could file a grievance -- so just filed another grievance a few days ago. Made at least 7-8 calls, leaving messages but not one returned call. I would be happy to be part of a class action suit if anyone takes this shady company to task!
2 weeks ago Dr sent in Rx's by fax. Called yesterday to see why they have not arrived. Someone from a foreign Call center says they are filled just sitting on a shelf and says they will be shipped out same day as call. Next day still not shipped. My last refill of meds was 12/24, I am out of meds tomorrow. First and probably last time attempting med through this place. Why would they sit on a shelf? Credit card was billed 2 weeks ago.
I pay Humana each month for drug coverage. I just ordered a drug that is costing me $36.50 for a 90 day supply. I looked online and found a mail order drug company that sells the same drug and quantity for $25 for the same quantity for this drug! Seems to me like a ripoff!
I was paying 26 60 a year for My Humana Part D. I was never notified of an increase. Did not receive an annual notice of renewal or changes and now I'm paying 56 60 a month after open enrollment closed. I was told that the plan I was on they discontinued. I was never notified even though it says in writing on their formulary they must notify you of any changes. There should be exceptions when you're not notified so that you can enroll in a different plan even though open enrollment is closed.
I have been paying $27.80 for prescription insurance and in January they charged me $58.60. When I called them they couldn’t tell me why except that my policy was changed. I had no notice of increase or that my policy was being changed. They told me that they were getting a lot of complaints. It’s very concerning that they would wait until after open enrollment to do this without any notice. This must be illegal. Now we are stuck paying this much higher price until next open enrollment. Think I will call the state of Texas and file a complaint. Going after them.
Agreed to pay $435 for 57 day supply of insulin and instead they sent me a 30 day supply for $425, that is deceptive practice and failure to abide by written contract that they provided. Went to try to get the rest of the insulin I paid for but only got a run around, getting passed from one agent to the next with zero results, just more BS. Stay away from this scam.
My rate for Humana prescriptions has been $27.80 for years. The plan increased to $58.60 without notice. We have two policies. This is a $61.60 total monthly increase. When I called to inquire, I was told they no longer offer the previous plan and I was moved to this new more expensive plan. This appears to be a way to double premiums. This price increase is unacceptable. I will not renew.
I called in a prescription that I need to live, they told me they expedited it. I called two days later. The lady told me I would receive my meds tomorrow. When I didn’t receive them I got lies after lies on why I didn’t have them. Lies from the computer system failed (huge error when you have my life medication to live) to I didn’t expedite it to, "we won’t transfer the prescription to your local pharmacy." I was told I couldn’t speak to a supervisor and one would call me back. I guess the supervisor will call me back when I get my medication as in NEVER. Long story short (after 3 days on the phone with them for 6 hours) if you value your life go to another pharmacy. This one doesn’t care about your life.
In November (19th) Humana received prescriptions to be filled. After answering Emails from Humana to "approve prescription" and contacting Humana Pharmacy by telephone several times (5x) and had authorized for them to receive payment via credit card, still no medication. Last week they were going to expedite the order without a charge to expedite the shipping. This week (Thursday) they said the order was "in process" and that they would expedite it, however, I would have to pay for the expedited shipping....REALLY???? It was finally agreed that I would not have to pay for them expediting the order being shipped.
Called today and got the status of "in process" answer. Requested to speak with a Supervisor that advised she was sorry that we were having a problem with the order. She suggested that if our Doctors Office was open, to see if he would give samples or write a prescription to a local Pharmacy until I could receive my order with them (Which means I would have to pay for another co-pay). The Supervisor said that she would contact me Monday morning to let me know the status of the order (Hopefully still not "in process").
Terrible service. One hand dosen't know what the other one is doing. More excuses eery time you call. 72 hours they tell you before they receive your prescription electronically. Then I send them the poa because I am taking care of my mother and they say that be 10 to 12 days before they will receive it. I faxed it over, pony Express would be faster. Now 10 to 12 days before I will receive it. All together it will be 4 weeks waiting for a prescription and I am not sure I will see it then. Worse mail in pharmaceutical company I have ever dealt with.
My physician sent a prescription to Humana 10 days ago. They acknowledge receiving it, but have yet to process it. When I called, the service representative was unable to tell me when the medication would be shipped. Occasionally I receive refills I haven't orders so that I have a stockpile of some meds, but others, it's like pulling teeth to get them to fill the order. I'm retired and free pharmacy insurance is a retirement benefit for which I am grateful. But, if they aren't going to fill prescriptions, I'm not sure when "free" becomes a burden.
As a doctor who prescribes, this pharmacy is TERRIBLE. They always seem to not have any of my prescriptions on file despite sending them multiple ways. They should get sued, this is terrible for patient safety!
I'm a Medicare recipient on a Humana HMO Medicare Advantage Health Plan. For that reason, I use the Humana Pharmacy because I get a $50 monthly credit to OTC items. HOWEVER... Of course they overprice the items, so I'm not really getting $50 worth of things. And the selection is limited to Humana's choice of the cheapest products they can find, for which they charge a premium amount. How does $8 for a generic tube of toothpaste sound?
But my big complaint is that they are getting sloppier all the time. Many times I have had them "cancel" my OTC order without telling me because they ran out of the item. If I don't check,I lose the $50 because they don't carry over the amount, even if they failed to fill the order. So now I order early in the month and check if my items don't arrive by mid-month. But now the prescription services are getting just as bad. I ordered one of my daily prescriptions last week. I just checked on the status, and not only is there no trace of the order, but now there is no trace of the prescription or past orders of this prescription!
I called Humana, and after trying to find an excuse, they admitted "something happened". Their solution is that I should pay them an additional $6.99 for rush delivery since they lost my prescription and my order. If I don't get my prescription in time, the doctor is close enough that I can go to his office, get him to write out another, and take it to a reliable pharmacy. Humana Pharmacy is NOT that. Fortunately, this prescription is one I can easily get on short notice from anyone. But if you have a critical medication that you can NOT be without, you'd better get it from someone else.
After researching on the Humana website that a drug I was prescribed was available at a local pharmacy for $400 brand name or $15 generic my MD called in for the generic. The pharmacy called me to check my Humana insurance info and then told me I wasn't eligible for the generic despite what the website said. With my plan I could obtain only the brand name.
At their recommendation I called Humana to try to get a dispensation but was told I could get the generic of a similar drug at the same Giant for about $15. So my MD called in for that generic and was told by Giant that they don't carry it - only the brand name - for $300. Total wasted telephone time >1 hr. Total prescriptions - none. Find yourself another prescription plan and another pharmacy.
I switched from CVS to Humana's on-line pharmacy. What a huge mistake. They constantly claimed my doctor wasn't responding - my doctor claims he was. They would cancel orders without notification. They had my doctor's fax number wrong on numerous occasions. When I asked to escalate a call I was told "management" or "leadership" would get back to me - they never did. Avoid Humana's on-line pharmacy like the plague!
I am fed up with joke of a company. Not one agent can think of provide answers to your questions independently. Six agents, six different sets of scripted apologies and very different answers to my questions. Paying $17 for expedited shipping should not take ten or twelve days from the time it is ordered. I too have had to talk to someone whose English is a second language. I guess they have a call center in Jabip, Every single detail of my experience is infuriating.
I suppose most customers know when it is time to refill prescriptions. It should not be this difficult. Something is definitely shady at Humana.
Humana is on the top worst drug providers to use for your prescription needs. My family Doctor has told me to stay away from Humana and Aetna. She said these are by far the worst two drug Pharmacies. I have had major problems. I pay over $80.00 a month for Humana Part D drug coverage. On two prescriptions I take, I can pay significantly less by using GoodRx. So, I am paying this $80 a month for their drug plan and I am getting zero (0) prescriptions from them. They are a complete rip-off. You want to talk about an industry needing regulation by the government. This is the epitome of an example of why government regulation is needed. That they get away with raping people of their money and in reality offering a customer zero (0) benefits is criminal.
I need a bushel of the most ROTTEN, STINKY ONIONS to give to Humana Mail Order Pharmacy!!! I am FURIOUS with Humana Mail Order Pharmacy!!! I paid for a Rx on 6/29/2019 which was $10. I kept watching my bank account for processing of the payment. On 7/1/2019 I went to order OTC items and it said I had a balance due and my order could be delayed because of my balance due. I called Humana Pharmacy and apparently the person who took my payment on 6/29 didn’t process it properly. So I paid again, for the 2nd time on 7/1/2019. This time the guy entered $100 instead of $10 (I checked my online banking while I had the rep on the phone) and advised him there is a error…. he said he’d call by 5pm ET to follow up and he didn’t.
I called Humana Pharmacy back and they gave me a runaround about they have to do this and that crap. I let them know their service is POOR and UNACCEPTABLE and I want my money back in my account by 10 AM tomorrow (7/2/2019) or I would dispute the transaction as I did NOT authorize $100, but only the $10 that I owed. This money is all I have to last me for 2 1/2 weeks.????
Every time I have prescriptions sent to Humana pharmacy, it takes forever to get them!!! Processing???? Really!?! You must be making the damn pills!!! No sense of urgency! Not enough help? Hire more people! Inept help? Get new people! This is not hard! Please try harder!
They sent me the wrong medicine, then double-billed me for it! Spent hours on the phone with foreigners speaking terrible English. Avoid this pharmacy like the plague. I thought CVS was awful, but compared to Humana Pharmacy, CVS was great! I'm going back to CVS. In addition, every time I called Humana, it was at least a 10-minute wait on hold. Awful, awful, awful! Don't use Humana Pharmacy.
They canceled my script for their own INCORRECT reason and NEVER notified me! They sent an email telling me it was being processed then nothing! They just canceled it! Now they are not helping me! It’s hard to believe this horrible place exists.
My two prescriptions kept going up in price through my Humana Rx plan which cost around $70.00/ month. My doctor recommended Walmart and a coupon from Good Rx. This is saving me more than halve!! I can't believe Humana is doing this to their members - shameful! I will not renew with them next year!
Why is our information given outside of US. Identity thief with our personal information whereever it gets calls routed to. Why Americans aren’t getting the jobs? Outraged US citizen! Hard to understand and they don’t like it when I asked to speak to US representative.
