I've been with AHS for a year and four months. My first service call was about three months ago for a dishwasher. And the man who came was very nice. He was from GE. He thought that I had problems with my basket. So he ordered a replacement basket. That has not corrected the problem, my dishwasher sounds like it has bad bearings or something. So I put in another service call the first of December. They sent me a service number but I had no follow-up, no service call, no appointment, no anything.

It's been good with American Home Shield, nothing wrong really.

I'm in real estate and I heard a lot of good things about American Home Shield. I've been with them for about 6 or 7 years. It really has been a very very good experience. They've always been very responsive and even if there was any kind of a hiccup or whatever, they were always very responsive on getting it straightened out or fixed. I've recommended them many times.

American Home Shield team was very on time. The technician was scheduled for me and he made a good repair. He was expediting everything. I will recommend them.

We bought the house and AHS came with that. I don't have any complaints. They are very good. They were sending one guy and that guy was nice but because it has not worked out so I asked them to send another man, and they did it. I like them. They are listening and they are sending the right people and problem getting solved. After problem solved they also call and ask us how it go, how it's working, everything...

Efficient. Everything seems to go well when I've needed repairs.

AHS has been very responsive so far.

I've been with American Home Shield for about three or four years. They have been pretty good. No complaints. They know what to do and they know how to treat the customers.

Our furnace stopped working properly the first week of December, 2013. Granted the type of furnace is not common (fuel oil, i.e. diesel) for our part of the country (Georgia), but American Home Shield's hands-off attitude and lack of communication have left me still without heat 6 weeks later.

The owners of our home 14 years ago paid for a year of American Home Shield on our appliances. And then after that first year, we just kept it. We have all of our appliances, electrical, wiring, and there's some plumbing in the plan too. I've only had a few issues with American Home Shield. At some point in time we were thinking about cancelling because sometimes they do very little.

I'm pleased with American Home Shield except for the most recent event where my furnace motor is making noise, but they say it has to completely stop before they will replace it, and that's not the thing I want to hear in the middle of winter which is what I'm fighting with them right now over.

Everything's been working wonderful for us. Everybody at American Home Shield is responsive and the follow-up is great. The service has been adequate or sufficient.

I got American Home Shield probably about four or five months now. My mom has it and she told me about it. It has been great so far and I haven't had any issues. My heating upstairs isn't working, so I called and they sent a guy out and he repaired it, no problem. It was all good. I have recommended AHS to other people.

They're very good. We've been quite pleased with American Home Shield.

Generally speaking, I would recommend American Home Shield. However, they had been out twice to fix my microwave. When they left, it worked and they had not been gone long till I made some popcorn in it and it hadn't worked since. That's been about two or three weeks ago. I've been in a rush and haven't called them again. Other than that, I've been very pleased with them. Overall, I would say that it's been very good. I was about to cancel it because in the past, I was not pleased with their service. I haven't used their service in four or five years and have been paying it for that long and I thought I'd give them one more chance. And this time, I was very, very pleased. They came out and fixed my ice maker, my disposal and they fixed my supposedly fixed my microwave.

I've had no problems with American Home Shield.

I used American Home Shield only once during the five years' period I have with them. I reached out to them online and it seemed to be intuitive, user friendly, and then as far as the communications with the vendor who come out, professional. And then of course American Home Shield contacted me back to make sure everything went well. They were presentable and pleasant.

I was in the real estate business and I remember that my company was purchasing the basic plan from American Home Shield 10+ years ago so I got them. Just last year our water heater broke down and we were able to get that replaced. Our dishwasher had problems, we were able to get that fixed. Our air conditioner was down, we were able to get that serviced. So we're pretty happy. They're a valuable cover.

I love American Home Shield. I think it's a wonderful thing. For a long time, I couldn't find a home warranty company and I looked on the Internet and found them and compared them with others on the net and they're by far the best so far. I had recommended them to at least 10 people I know that have gone with them as well. They are superb!

A co-worker told me about American Home Shield and he was happy with their service so I gave them a shot and chose them as my home warranty provider. Our experience with them has been good so far. The only issues we've had was with our pool equipment and the heater needed to be repaired last year. I'm not sure how much it was but we had a hundred dollar co-pay but I think it was like maybe a $300 repair or something. This year there was a leak in the pool equipment and they came out and fixed it pretty quickly. AHS did what they promise to do. I like them.

My brother and my sister told me about American Home Shield few years ago. AHS has been quite wonderful. I haven’t had problems. They were kind and knowledgeable of what they are doing and the website is easy to navigate - no problem. They are great, I like them. They are a lifesaver. I would recommend them.

I was investigating home warranties and they said American Home Shield is much better than the others. So far so good, I'm happy with it. The last claim I had was on my washer and dryer. They got bad. The guy was very helpful. Everything was smooth and nice.

I heard about American Home Shield from a neighbor. I didn't do the all-inclusive American Home Shield plan. I picked the items ala carte, about nine different things and it costs 38 bucks a month... Well they've been pretty courteous and pretty responsive. They're okay except for the one incident I had where they could have given me a brand new washer for 350 bucks. Instead they paid almost $600 just for the parts. I got a rebuilt washer but it seems crazy that they would go ahead and do something like that when it was more to their advantage to have just purchased one through Kmart, an almost $200 difference. And I was put out for about three weeks because they had to get or find the parts...

I looked on websites and found AHS. They looked like better value so I went with them. The plan I got doesn't cover appliances, but it covers plumbing and electrical. I had one dealing and they were good, courteous and knowledgeable. They are good but limited. I haven't really needed them other than one call.

One of my friends recommended American Home Shield to us and she was so pleased... she was one of their best sales person :) We have AHS for almost two years now. When we've needed repairs or replacements, all I have to do is either call or go online and they send a technician with the information out there for us and immediately the service person will call, the assessment is made and job is complete, perfect. They follow up via email, calls from the service reps, timely appointment set, outstanding job done satisfactorily and of course always responds electronically with a survey. I have recommended them to several people.

I do real estate settlements - I'm a title officer. A lot of people get AHS when they buy a new home. And then I saw it on advertisement teams, through my mortgage company, in the mail offering it. That's when I took it out because I had several small policies on different things and I switched it around. It's been good. I don't really have any complaints with them other than I have a billing problem right now but I got to call today and work that out. I've been very happy and always have had good success with getting somebody quickly when I needed them.

It was through an investment property program when I found American Home Shield. I bought the plan for rental properties. AHS have always been efficient, reasonable, and always come through immediately. They always answer the phone and they always send me information immediately, which is quite nice.

I have American Home Shield home warranty and my experience in dealing with their team and submitting a claim was fine.

We got American Home Shield when we bought our house and then we continued it. When we were unhappy with our other one, we looked online, made phone calls and came up with this one. They had a good reference online and I like what the girl told me when we talked on the phone. I talked to her several times before we actually committed. And we have been with them for probably about a year.

I've had AHS since I bought my first house in around 2000. Currently my plan covers everything - my house plus my pool. Sometimes the responsiveness is not that good but for the most part it's been alright. I'm satisfied. I've already recommended them to a couple of friends and they've signed up.

It’s worth it. And they are 90% of the time knowledgeable and courteous. Sometimes, I have trouble with their offices, in talking to the scheduling people and that sort, but the workmen have generally been quite good. I haven't had any trouble with the workmen.

I had used American Home Shield a long time ago. I had used other provider and their service is better. I'm very pleased with the work and the people they've sent. Other companies have had issues. Definitely recommend them. Very reliable and it's worth the extra. Some companies are cheaper, but cheaper isn't better.

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied. I've been with American Home Shield since 98. I've been with them a long time. We went through some bumps and bruises at the very beginning, but overall I've had very few problems.

About seven years ago when I first bought the house, I got something in the mail about AHS. So we bought their plan that covers the electrical, appliance and pool because I have a pool. The experience has been really good except for the last one which wasn't American Home Shield's fault, but it was a terrible experience. What happened was the plumber they sent over said they don't do that, whatever the problem was. I said "It's ridiculous. You're here, why don't you do it?" The plumbing place hung up on me. It was really rude so I got another plumber. It took them four minutes to fix it and this went on for a week and a half arguing about something that took four minutes. The plumber could have done it. I would have given the extra money. But he called another contractor in that had nothing to do with it. He thought it was something else, wasting another person's time - all our time. I let AHS know about it because I didn't want to receive that plumber in my house again.

You have to go through a long haul rigmarole on some of their policies, but the bottom line is AHS has been good in the past. I would recommend them because the customer would end up being satisfied with their service. They have some points that I don't agree with but overall, when the homeowner needs a service to be done, they do try to satisfy their customer.

American Home Shield is efficient.

American Home Shield has done everything that I expected it to.

I've been with American Home Shield for almost 2 years now. They seemed to be fair and honest and didn't nickel and dime the repair as not covered. So far I like them, no complaints. I have them previously at our prior home. They are courteous, knowledgeable and easy to contact. They are prompt to respond and so far they sent reliable vendors out.

I've been with AHS since last year and my experience with them has been good. My claims went pretty well. I had two things done. In one the guy was excellent. He was really, really good and then the other one, it took about a week because the person who did it had to travel almost 150 miles but that was okay. He did a good job too. I live in an out-of-the-way place, I live in Key West. It was good service and generally I don't have a lot of patience with things so normally I'll throw the thing out and use something else but they were able to fix it. AHS was good for me so I was satisfied with it.

I have had great success in arranging and receiving service on issues with my home under my contract. However, I have had great difficulty in receiving replacement items that were deemed necessary as the original items could not be repaired. The first item was a washer. I selected the washer by e-mail, played phone tag for more than 30 days with a "New England" company and still have not found resolution or received my washer. I used the original email contact from AHS to inquire about the washer and never received response. It has been greater than a year. Next was my dishwasher. Same scenario. Was informed by technician it could not be repaired and AHS would arrange replacement. I am still without a dishwasher. It has been close to a year. I have used the local Laundromat to wash my clothes, quite costly and inconvenient. My dishes I am doing by hand. Not such a big deal. I would like the appliances delivered to my home and not have to play phone tag for weeks to have it happen.

I'm a realtor and used what I used with my other clients and that's American Home Shield for home warranty. I had them last year, so this would be my second year. I already renewed for this coming year. My experience with AHS has been very good. They were prompt, easy to deal with and it has been a good experience. I would recommend them.

I've been using American Home Shield for a long time. So far they have been performing okay. They provide pretty good service and I like using the website.

This is the second time I've had American Home Shield. I did switch because they were too expensive. They had raised their co-pay and I switched to another company and then my husband wanted to go back to them. The other company was good but there were things that weren't covered that were covered with Home Shield. This time we have AHS for a year or two. We were with them for about three years before. As a matter of fact, I've recommend friends to Home Shield and then when they raised their deductible so much, I went looking for somebody else and my friends still have them. AHS co-pay is a little high, but the service is excellent. They are great and professional. But they should lower their co-pay, that’s the only problem I have.

My son recommended American Home Shield and because I value his opinion, I went ahead with it. They have been great. AHS reps are very easy. When I do need someone to come out to repair whatever needs to be fixed, they're very professional and helpful and knowledgeable. I have only good things to say about it. They are also timely. The deductibles that I have to pay are very minimum compared to if I had to go out there and if I didn't have that insurance then I have to get it repaired. It would be very much more money. So I'm overall very pleased with everything about American Home Shield.

So far my experience with American Home Shield has been great. They had every need that I've had and I have no problem with them getting people to my house at all. And if I am not pleased with the contractor who comes here, they immediately take care of it and send someone else. So I've had nothing but a good experience with them. They have always treated me fairly and I have been pleased with every service that I have received from them. I think they are a great organization.

I purchased a plan from American Home Shield, the one with the most extensive coverage. The last lady that I dealt with over the phone was very smart-alecky, but other than her everybody else that I've dealt with has always been very, very nice. There is one issue with a company I've had with American Home Shield. I had a lot of problems with this one company. I never had any problems with anybody else, everybody else who came in, they were supposed to do all. But aside from this company, I am very satisfied with my experience with AHS.

A co-worker told me about AHS. I've been with them for 5 years now. So far it has been great. No complaints. Every time I've had issues they responded and took care of the problem quickly.

I've had American Home Shield for 3 or 4 years. I used to own a bunch of rental places and I use them just because it's easy. When I have a bad experience I cancel my service. I haven't cancelled everything so everything must have been a good experience.

I've been with American Home Shield since last October. A friend had told me about it and I decided to find out. My experience with them is good. It's splendid!

American Home Shield was good, it's just the wait time, and they have no control over that. It might be something that they might be able to work with the folks. Sometimes it would take two or three days before we would hear from the people as far as response. They did the job and they did do a great job when they came out. Home Shield did respond but it's the vendors getting back with Home Shield and the communication that was the problem. Overall it was good and it can be stated that I did save money.

I've had American Home Shield for years at my house in Atlanta. I moved to this house, having a little bit of age on it, in Mississippi. I had everything replaced and fixed and serviced. And then I went ahead and put the warranty on it because I want to make sure everything was up to scale before I have a few hiccups. They checked everything out the best that they could, but little leaks here and there happened and I turn the knob on the hot water heater and that was leaking. So they got a plumber come in and fix the unit.

I have a new home and I'm retired. I don't do any kind of maintenance around the house and for repair work I thought American home Shield would be a good thing to have as a resource and some friends have used them in the past and they were very satisfied with it. I've been with them for about 6 months. I have called for service and it went well and was very good. I didn't have any problems at all. They're very prompt and responded very quickly and cleaned everything up. I called one day and they were out the next so everything was great. It was a very consumer-friendly process and the technicians seemed to be very, very confident and the people that they had sent out are actually very good. They know what they're doing so I'm very satisfied with them.

I've had American Home Shield for years and years. When I was in Glendale or Eel Rock we had it and when we sold the house we extended the coverage for those people. Then we had it out here where I live now in Lano ever since we've been here. We built the house in '72 and moved here in '88 so we've had them all at that time. I've been satisfied on every event that I had to call for. They were timely and courteous as much as could be expected. Since there were independent people doing it, sometimes they don't do what they are supposed to do but they've always been there with any reason.

I never had problems with them with American Home Shield. Every time I called they come out and deal with that and the work is excellent.

I have American Home Shield now for at least 5 to 6 years and they served me very well. They are extremely courteous and they are very fast -- when I just found I had a problem and I called American Home Shield they had people standing by, that within an hour or two I got a phone call and a scheduled setup and it's just absolutely fantastic. I'm very happy with them.

I'm not too happy with American Home Shield because I've got two service orders right now - one that they're working on from Thanksgiving that they gonna get finally complete tomorrow... because I had to order parts (I got the parts in right after Thanksgiving but they're just doing it tomorrow). Then I've got another service request currently right now with my garage door opener. I turned it in on Monday and to date nobody has contacted me to set up a service schedule so at this point I'm really not happy. It almost made me look at going somewhere else.

These boys have been really good! I've never had any problems. But I do have a little anxiety because a lot of people do complain about them and they say a lot of bad things I haven’t experienced. There's a rumor out there too that if you use it too many times they’ll get rid of you...

So far we haven't had any problem with American Home Shield. They are very good.

I've only been with American Home Shield for about a year and a half. So far they have been really good, well worth the money! I've had a different warranty company for every one of my houses. They are actually covering my real house and I've had two claims with them and they are Johnny-on-the-spot. Their response time has been excellent just like they said. I have been pleased with their contractors. They are professional. I've recommended them to several of my friends who have now purchased from them.

I've had American Home Shield for 16 years. I first heard about it through a realtor. It's been okay except if prices keep going up and things getting less than pretty quick... I'll cancel it.

I heard about American Home Shield from one of my friends. She was telling me how great they were and so I came right home and called. I've been with them for three or four months now and it has been great. I called them on my refrigerator and they came out the next day. It was amazing. It was really fast. I would and have recommended them.

I work in the mortgage business. We've been with AHS for two years now. We have had maybe 3 service calls. They've always been pleasant to work with. It's been good so far.

Everything is fine. It sounded good to us and so we went ahead and joined up. We had moved in a brand new house and know how expensive it can be to replace a refrigerator or washing machine or anything like that. We were allowed to pick out whatever it is that needed to be replaced or fixed, and there were 10 or 12 choices so we picked out what we wanted and every time that we have a need for something then we just call AHS and they set up an appointment for us from some local agent.

I found out about AHS through a real estate company that I worked with years ago. I bought a plan that had everything except I don't have a pool and something with the septic system. Overall, they're pretty good. I'm not saying they are the greatest company but being a single person and not having anyone to do anything for you... it's better than having nothing. However I had a plumbing problem and that was the worst experience I have ever had because they never could get it fixed and they never fixed it right. It was the American standard product that was in here and they said that item was very difficult to work with. They got it fixed somewhat, useable, but it’s not fixed correctly yet. So I just kind of settled for that because I got tired of all the people come in and out of my house. Also when you call and you think that you have one to speak with 24/7 or they can send someone to your home within two to three hours, it may be two to three days before you see someone and I thought when I first signed up with American Home Shield it was a little different. You call in and you say that you're having problem with you’re A/C. Ok, they could contact someone for you. But I've had experience where I've had to contact people myself.

American Home Shield was just very easy to work with. They were prompt in following up when I made a claim and it’s just really quick and painless.

I didn't want to have to worry about repairs so I got American Home Shield. They were referred to me by someone I know, and now I've been with them for 6 months. It's been good so far. I have requested service and did it online so I didn't have to talk to anyone. They were prompt and easy to deal with.

American Home Shield service has been good so far.

I had pretty good experience with American Home Shield. My main complaint is that if we don't properly diagnose an issue and the service person comes out we are still responsible to pay $75 but otherwise, we've had a positive experience.

We've had American Home Shield for several years. I had heard about some of these programs from some friends in the past and decided to investigate. The experience with them has been good generally. Most contractors have been very well-prepared, very well-qualified. I had only one of those contractors who was deficient. I'd recommend them to a friend.

American Home Shield is a good product but it can be better with a little effort.

We had American Home Shield as a one-year package already purchased when we bought the house. We had them for a while now, since 2000. We used them whenever we have a problem. Their phone people that worked at the headquarters are just very good. They are well trained, courteous, pretty sharp. They are way above average for telephone access. Overall, we’re very glad we've got them.

American Home Shield has been pretty good. You never know when something might happen. I would recommend AHS.

The gas company found out that my dryer was a fire hazard so they told me to call somebody. They didn't tell me whom so I just called American Home Shield. We've had AHS since the previous owner of the house bought the policy for us the first year we were here, and then we just kept on with it. Because I'm serviced with AHS, I called them, and I was very pleased with the service. All I can say is, they have speedy calls back. Their service has been quick and easy and painless. Our experience with AHS so far has been excellent.

Something came in the mail about American Home Shield. It looked interesting so I just rolled with them and got their base plan. I'm very, very pleased with them. I had one service and their local contractor was very, very good. They communicated, came out and got it fixed. So that was good. They do what they say. I recommend them, and I already referred them to my parents.

American Home Shield has been very good. I had them for years, ever since we bought our home about 17 years ago. They have excellent service and are always prompt in dispatching service tech out to the house. We've had no problems with them.

I've been using American Home Shield for about four to five years. We used to own three houses and we had Home Shield for all three. I like them, I wouldn't renew it if I didn't, and I renewed it every year. I'm very satisfied with them. I had no problem with them. They always take care of me, whatever I need. They're on time. Anytime I have something wrong, within 24 hours I hear from the repair people whom they assigned to repair.

One of my friends told me about American Home Shield. I was going to be purchasing a house again so I got it to cover the bases. It has already come in handy just for stupid stuff that people who previously owned it did. A certified technician could actually repair so it's been really good. It's an easy process and they have prompt service.

We've had a good experience with American Home Shield. We've had them before and switched to somebody else and they either bought the other company out or we just went back to them. My husband is pleased with them. They're doing a good job.

American Home Shield was transferred with my property. They have been great; however the vendors that they are using are creating a problem because we are not getting quality service or quality product. I have an issue pending right now. They replaced the hot water heater with a very low quality hot water heater that doesn't work properly and now they are telling me I need to reset my whole system to accommodate this cheap hot water heater. This house is 18 years old.

Overall, it's a good experience. I plan on keeping American Home Shield and we'd recommend it to anyone that was looking for it or to all my neighbors. The only problems I have would be the actual service people that come out here. I've had no problem with anything that came out here before but this last thing we had with our oven took a good while because they kept sending the wrong part. Other than that everything's been fine.

Everything's been fine with American Home Shield. A friend had it and I looked into it from there. It's been very good and I have no complaints.

I got a plan from American Home Shield that covers everything inside my house, the one that have a hundred dollar service fee. Their representatives have been absolutely wonderful.

The companies American Home Shield sent out so far are very knowledgeable. They knew what they were doing and resolved my problem. They were courteous and punctual. They were there at a designated time and I was satisfied with the work.

I have the American Home Shield plan that covers everything since I bought the house. They've been very good, I had no problem. I'm satisfied with the repair people who come for the appliances and do work at my home.

They sent Myers heating and air to fix air conditioner. They replaced evaporator coil. They cut drain line to short, it leaked on center beam under house. I have paper work and receipt. Called American home shield because of damage caused to beam due to water dripping on it. They said they're not responsible. They did confirm they sent them. Called Myers about what happened. They came to house, did not go under house and look. Looked at pictures on husband's cell phone and left, when I called them they said not responsible, they don't go under houses. I said "I have receipt and line runs from attic to under house and it tied together," they said "no, they didn't do it" and of course won't return calls. In process of talking to lawyer for damages to my house. You pay a fee for a service and then you really pay when you get service. It's funny, I have a receipt for American Home Shield and a receipt from Myers but neither is responsible. So now about 6000 for house to be leveled, windows don't open, some don't shut, tiles popping up in bathroom, cracks above doors, front door wont lock and there is more.

When we purchased our home, the appliances we got all came from Sears and when I called Sears to have insurance on them, they refused. I was constantly receiving stuff in the mail from different organizations and some of the fliers that I received were from American Home Shield. I called them and they did it. I've been very pleased with them because they stand by their products. If they cannot repair, they will replace and that happened with my washer. They couldn't fix it so they replaced it. I know it's not with them but the only problem I had was when my hot water heater went out and water was running everywhere. The company that came out didn't get here within the 24 hours.

AHS is a joke!!!! We are supposed to have a 48hr window for a service tech to fulfill an appt. Request was sent in and the earliest appt available was 72hrs out for a 2p-6p visit. We get a call from the contractor at 645p that he is rescheduling for first thing in the morning. According to AHS, they take no responsibility. All they have to say is "we are sorry for the inconvenience." Bye bye AHS after this water heater gets replaced (hopefully)!!!! This is the 5th time we have dealt with their unprofessional service companies being put off. Houston TX.

I'm pleased with American Home Shield service.

I've been with American Home Shield since 2002. I heard about them through my boss who had American Home Shield and she had gotten them when she was single and bought a new condo. I purchased my home and knew that I would need someone to help do the repairs so I contacted them. They've been very good. I'm very pleased and happy with them.

I've been in my house and have had American Home Shield for 13 years. I get it every year. They've been very receptive to any problems that I had and I have no complaints with their service. I wouldn't have renewed for 13 years if I wasn't happy with the service.

The person they kept sending out was not fixing the refrigerator. I told the people on the phone that it was not what he'd kept continuing to be fixed because I can tell the way it was the fool wasn't getting close. He kept changing stuff and I told him that he was just building up a bill for AHS (They changed two things that I don't think I needed). So eventually the refrigerator kept doing it and it did it like for the 5th or 6th time and they finally sent Sears out and the freezer and the refrigerator has been working fine ever since.

I've had American Home Shield on and off for so many years. It's all my systems in my house. My experiences have been positive. Everything has been easy and I've had to use them quite a bit this year so it's been nice. They are efficient and worth it and I have a two hundred year old house.

We've been American Home Shield customers for years. We annually renewed and also had them at our previous house. It's the basic plan. Our major appliances are covered and the electrical and the plumbing. We've had very good experiences with them. It's an ease of service. It's pretty basic and again because we are repeat customers we know what we've got. I know my options when we encounter a problem and what to expect. I know that I'm going to get real quick transfer from American Home Shield while on the phone or while online to a contractor.

American Home Shield has been professional and courteous and responsive.

A friend of ours who lived alone was helping us and he recommended American Home Shield. He knew them so we didn't shop for any other and we don't even know who the others are. It has been pretty good. It's great.

I got no big complaints with American Home Shield so far. So far everything has been pretty nice. This last call I had got delayed somewhat. My repairman's been very nice, exceptionally friendly. He said he ran into a difficulty in getting parts, I don't know, due to the end of the year inventory and all that stuff. Outside of that I've got no complaints. I'm pretty satisfied with it. In fact I'm considering trying to put a plan on it my mother's house for her. I've not reached a full decision on it yet but I'm thinking about it.

When I used American Home Shield in the first place they were just one that my company recommended, and I've just stuck with them the whole time. I've been with them between two different houses since 2008. My experience has been excellent. I have filed many claims online. The process is very easy. Every once in a while I file my claims on the phone. They always had prompt response times. I'm happy with the experience that I've had with American Home Shield.

We've been with American Home Shield for a long time. I don't want anybody else to have to fall into the same pitfall that we've done and we put a lot of money in there and it's absolutely ridiculous. I had one situation with my sewer system. They kept coming out and when they finally got down to the fact that it had to be replaced, they said that it wasn't covered and they've been fixing it for the last six months or more. That's crap! They said it wasn't covered because there were roots in there and the roots weren't covered. Still, they can't go down there, they don't cover to have a camera to go down there and find out if there are roots so how can they tell me that they don't cover it if they can't see the damn roots down there anyway! And they've been taking our $75 every two or three months to repair it. It's not worth it at all. I'm going to be shopping around for someplace else.

We first had First American for 12-13 years and they kept raising their rates and excluding more and more things that they covered so I started shopping around and did an internet search and found several of them, compared what they were offering for the price and chose American Home Shield. I've had them for about a year and a half. They are great. I call them or request service on the internet, either way they are fast. They let you know right away who is going to respond to the call. The contractor calls you pretty quick and they are here in no time. I'm happy with them so far.

I had a home warranty program with American Home Shield before. When I relocated I got a warranty with another company, through the seller. So when that warranty was up, I definitely came back to American Home Shield. So I'm a repeat customer. I have placed claims with them. I am totally satisfied with them and have always been.

My girlfriend had been telling me for years that she had a home warranty, and I didn't know too much about it. And she said it's the best thing to have, especially when you're a homeowner. So I said okay, and I let it go on the back burner. Then I started to think about it because I was paying out of pocket for every little thing. Every time I looked up, something was wrong. I had to pay out of pocket. I happened to be surfing through the Internet and came across American Home Shield. I read some reviews on it, and decided to go with it. I will have had them a year in May.

It's been excellent. American Home Shield respond well to everything I've ever needed, it's always handled well, everything's been taken care of. I've had to have things replaced, I've had to have things fixed, it's all great.

I heard about American Home Shield from my son-in-law and he was very happy with the service, and it sounded like a good idea since I'd owned the house 10 years. I've been with American Home Shield for three months and my experience has been fine so far. I filed one claim and it went very well. The AHS staff was good and prompt response. They were professional.

I learned about American Home Shield through my brother-in-law. I got their condo plan. The company that they ended up sending out the first time did not fix my A/C the way I thought they should have. And of course it got to be winter time so I have to wait until it's coming to spring and summer to see if it's working right but now they did fix the last repair. I've only dealt with them twice before. Overall pretty satisfied, so far.

I learned about American Home Shield through a realtor when I purchased my home a number of years ago. I had everything covered. The American Home Shield team was absolutely fantastic. I appreciate the fact that they are very responsive. I wish they sent or give you the choice of sending the same service company. I had a couple of issues where they sent different companies out, different vendors. That was okay because it does give you exposure as to who is in the area in case you do need somebody that you can contact. But sometimes you meet someone and the company has been very good to work with so you'd like to keep them but. I still haven't had a bad experience with any of the vendors that they've sent to my home for any repairs. They've really had been super. Overall experience has been very positive and I will continue to use them. And I have recommended them.

American Home Shield has outstanding service. One reason I like them is because they always send professional technicians from reputable companies and I really enjoy that aspect.

My mom gave me the number for American Home Shield. I have the plan for my appliances inside the house and my pool equipment. The contractors that they use are very professional. They're here when they said they were going to be here and generally my issues were resolved right away. The experience is excellent.

American Home Shield is a good company. My experience with them is perfect.

I would say experience was about a 5. I only gave them a 4 because they're the only vendor I know.

My next-door neighbor had a problem with their air conditioner and a repairman came, and I asked him if he could do work on my house and he said he was working for American Home Shield. So I got a plan from them. I don't know what they call it. It covers my appliances and I pay a separate monthly fee to cover air conditioner and heat. They have been helpful. It seemed like a good deal for me. They came out for three different appliances and I only had to pay one deductible and the repairs cost more than my year's premium. It's good peace of mind.

I have attempted to get a washer and a range repaired since Nov. 22, 2013 and as of Jan. 15, 2014 my range has not been repaired and I had to go and buy a washer. AMS collects millions in service fees, however will leave their customers at the mercy of incompetent services reps and sub-standard technicians. The customer is not their top priority and their supervisors don't take calls for project resolution. I was told by a Kentra (cancellation department) that I held no more value than anyone else, even though I'm a 14-year customer. On what planet does tenure not count and you don't want to retain a 14-yr relationship, huh? Then Ms. Kentra tells me to go and find my own company, when I pay AMS to give me quality technicians to resolve the issues. I work hard for my money and won't throw it away on a company that believes they are entitled. My sister is a housing counselor and has recommended AMS to 1st time home buyers as part of their pre- and post purchase education, that will stop immediately due to this experience. There is no way anyone should go through all of this to have a service request fulfilled. If anyone knows of a warranty company that has exhibit quality service and excellent reputation, we are quality customers, please refer.

American Home Shield is typically responsive. We get contractors that finish up the jobs in a very quick period of time. And the cost, while it has risen double, it's taken it 20 years to do so. So I don't think that's too bad.

Overall, I've been very pleased with American Home Shield. I've had a great response from them. But right now, I am very angry. It was the first time I had a bad experience with them. I called last Saturday because I had a plumbing problem. There was a foul odor coming from the bathroom and I called AHS for help but I didn't talk to anyone. I talked to a machine. I called last Saturday trying to tell the machine and it gave me the confirmation number of some SDL Plumbing. I did not hear from SDL until Monday evening almost when they called, so I said to just cancel it. That was a whole three days gone. They need to figure out some kind of way to notify.

I tell my neighbors about my excellent experience with American Home Shield. I have a plan with them on all my appliances. They were outstanding. I'm just very happy that I have AHS.

I heard about American Home Shield when I bought a home and part of the closing was that I got an American Home Shield policy paid for by the seller. I got the full coverage of what you could get for a condo. They've been great and helpful. I used it once last year but it was just for minor repair. I had a burner out on a cook top. They asked me if I had any other things and I said I was having trouble with the ice maker on my refrigerator. So they said they could be done at one call because the repairman care company they were using serviced both. So that was great and they were both very minor repairs. The repair people that I've encountered have been polite, clean, great. Overall it was an excellent and a positive experience.

American Home Shield was prompt with getting items that I called in fixed. They do protect what I value.

I've been very satisfied with American Home Shield. My experience with the team has been good so far. I have the plan that covers everything. I've used them about four or five times. The only thing I noticed they went up $10 but I just hope this is not a trend. It’ll just keep on going because I’m on a fixed income.

There were so many home warranty providers out there and I've been with American Home Shield for a while. They have been courteous and knowledgeable. The experience was fine but their washing machine guy caused all my problems so I was very unhappy with that. I had the washing machine repaired and I don't believe that he fixed it correctly. So then the washing machine overflowed and I didn't use it for a while until I noticed water was dripping and it went into the furnace, so I had to have all that stuff repaired. Then they denied it because he had said that I overloaded it. I have been washing clothes since I was 10 years old and I'm 68 right now. I know to load a washing machine so I wasn't real happy about that and I was getting ready to leave because that cost me $600. But I haven't left yet.

The American Home Shield team has been courteous, knowledgeable and professional.

I had American Home Shield a few years ago and then I switched to somebody else and then I went back to them. Everything has been fine. There was a little confusion between the vendor and the company but maybe it was on my part of who was in charge and who should have been reporting back to me about when they would be coming over. But I found their service to be extremely valuable. They're excellent.

One of our friends had American Home Shield. I purchased the basic plan - 48 or something a month. Their people have been great and courteous. They responded immediately and the contractors came in on time. I had a problem with the dishwasher, and they came. The guy found some other problem and I was surprised at how quickly they were able to deliver the parts the very same day and get it fixed so I didn't have to take another day off. Overall, I think it's worth my money because it saves me the headache of having to go find plumbers and different people. Since they do it all, it makes it a lot easier for us.

We've had American Home Shield for five years and it’s been great. The plan we have covered everything. We've got two refrigerators, stove, washing machine, dryer, air conditioning and heater. They've always been very courteous and answered anything we needed to know. Every time we've had to have something done, it’s been done in a timely manner and taken care of to our satisfaction.

Had my toilet break and would not flush. A piece small as a thumb tack broke off when opening lid and fell into toilet where there was human waste in toilet and when I flushed a bucket of water in toilet to manually flush toilet until repair man came it flushed down toilet. Because piece size of thumb tack was flushed they denied claim. They danced around saying "I am not saying you should of stuck your hand in waste but because you didn't retrieve part your claim is denied." When I call to cancel plan since I had to pay $300 for new toilet since I would not pay sleazy repairman what he was trying to swindle out of me the customer service put me on hold for 25 minutes when I asked to cancel. When finally came on and I expressed my frustration only after she asked I was put on hold every time I said something she didn't like. When I asked her to not put me on hold again and to just cancel my account she told me that she has to take a hold of our conversation so she was just giving me time to calm down and think. What kind of customer service is that!

My plan with American Home Shield is the one that covers all the appliances and the furnace. They've been very good and responsive. They're trying to repair a dishwasher I have now and if we can't, I can get a reduced price one from them. It's a positive experience. I was skeptical at first but they've responded every time I've had a problem and have corrected 3 or 4 things in my house.

Submitted original request about under sink "water heater" leaking via voice recognition on the phone. Was called by service company who told me that they were told it was the water heater and cannot attend to the matter since it was not what they were told. Scheduler was extremely curt and refused to answer question about the $75 call charge. I then went online to cancel the original service request and properly inserted the correct request in regard to the "instant hot water dispenser".

The experience with American Home Shield is good. I need to call them back for my service. It wasn't repaired properly but overall, I'm satisfied.

AHS has done everything they said they would do so I'm very happy with it. The contract has been lived up to.

My home now is 19 years old and things are breaking and decided to get American Home Shield. I purchased the $70 to $80 a month plan. It’s not inexpensive, I have 2 heating units. I called them on the phone. I tell them what's wrong and they send somebody to come in and do my repairs. I've been very happy with the people who have done my repairs. They use a company that I don't like to use and when I call them I make sure that I tell them that that's the company I don't want to use. Especially because they service heating, air conditioning. They also do some plumbing and stuff. When you get to the point where your home needs warranty service, it's a great program.

So far, I've been very happy with American Home Shield. Every time I've needed them, they've been good. They're great. Sometimes they should pick a better vendor.

We have had American Home Shield from my very first house I bought in South Carolina. It came with the house, and at that time we'd never even heard of it. That was 1994. We got their basic coverage and then we also have the washer/dryer and the fridge. Every time a repairman comes out, he's really good and courteous and normally it's fixed during that visit unless there's some oddball part he has to order and then it's still going 3 or 4 days. They're actually very, very good with one exception. We've had our washer repaired 5 or 4 times and at one time they said "You guys just need to replace it." We said okay. They said "We'll prorate it for $400" but from my understanding of American Home Shield, if the appliance can't be repaired, it had to be replaced and the entire cost of replacement was covered. It was kind of strange they only offered a $400 prorate.

We are with AHS long time ago, so not ready to change. We keep renewing our warranty and we cannot get rid of it. The only thing we don't like about is their co-payment is a little bit high premium because the Republic insurance, the co-payment is $60. AHS is like $75. This is the only concern me and all the people that are subscribing to Home Shield have. When it comes to service, they are good and they respond. We don't have any problem at all with them.

American Home Shield is top notch. I have no problems with them. I would recommend AHS to others.

I got AHS through my mortgage with a particular institution. I have their service on my rental properties in southern California. Getting them was a matter of convenience for me as I live in northern California and at that time, I didn’t know of any other home warranty companies. As far as AHS’ response and professionalism go, they’re excellent. In the past, I have had maybe two or three unpleasant experiences where the contractor has come, and later on I found out that apparently this particular item was not covered, and yet I had to pay the service fee, and I was not able to get a refund from them. To be honest on a couple of occasions, I’ve thought about maybe going with somebody else, but I’ve been with them for a few years now.

My son talked to me about American Home Shield. I needed their service, I got it. I preferred them because they helped me with the repair job. I will recommend them.

I was comparing the home warranty companies via their internet advertisements, and American Home Shield looked good. I chose them because of their payment plan per month and they seemed easy to work with. I've had AHS service since September of this year and our experience with them has been very good. I've had to use them on a situation with my central heating and they were very prompt at coming out and sending a service person. The only thing and it's not really their fault, it's spelled out on their contract, I had to wait for about two weeks without heat while they decided but I was able to discuss things with them which was wonderful.

I got the warranty that covers the whole house from American Home Shield. So far my experience with them has been great. We did take advantage of their refer-a-friend program. Their service was quick, courteous and prompt. It’s a great peace of mind to have them covering my house.

I've had American Home Shield since last August and it was because of a friend in Oklahoma that had it. They had a problem and it was taken cared of very well and she said they were very pleased with it. So far my experience is not good. We have a tank-less hot water heater, and it went out Thanksgiving Day and they still haven't fixed it and got it resolved. They sent a plumber, and then an electrician and sent the plumber back. I kept telling them it wasn't an electrical problem. It was a plumbing problem, something going on in the unit itself. So nobody has been able to fix it. I'm unhappy with the fact that they warrant something that they haven't got anybody to work on and that it has taken from Thanksgiving. I mailed them, and they didn't quit drafting my payments. They are extremely slow and unconcerned. My main complaint on them is they're saying they don't have anybody in our service area that knows how to do this. So, it seems to me that if you don't have anybody that's bonded and licensed and insured to work on it that you shouldn't sell policies that cover it in that area.

We found American Home Shield on the internet a couple of years ago and got the highest plan which covers everything. The AHS team was pretty quick about things. Our experience with them has been fine. However, their vendors could use some work. I'm having an issue with the plumber they gave me yesterday. They were supposed to come to unclog my sink and it's still clogged. They were supposed to be back and I haven't heard anything from them. I don't think it's AHS’ fault. They should do more research on their workers or whoever they get though. Other than that, I've had no problems. They're real prompt on getting things done.

When we bought our home, the AHS service came with it. We've had them for five years total and our experience with them has been great. When we submit claims, they've been pretty good. I think AHS is a great resource.
