I would think twice if you are planning to buy a Samsung washer. I know I'll never buy another one, I'm literally stuck with this lousy washer. We have a HE washer with small digital display, not the full touch pad display, so it's like the mid-range model. Still pretty pricey. Within the first 6 months, Samsung (through multiple trips) has replaced the motor, the shaft, the belt, the timer, the load weight water balance detector thingy, the computer, and everything else you can think of. The drum and outer shell was not replaced.
The correct amount of water was not being filled on all cycles. Constant unbalanced loads, which it did detect and added more water when needed. But the agitation is horrible. My wife spends more time untying the clothes than the load takes to wash. Doesn't matter what type of load is being washed, it's always the same. Towels, sheets, shirts, PJs, socks, you name, every load. SEE THE PICTURES.
For reference, this model is designed to detect the weight of the load and adds the correct amount of water regardless of the spin speed or load size. The replacing of all available parts fixed the unbalanced load issue but it still sucks. I'm just glad we got the extended warranty through Lowe's now that it's over a year old. Additionally, the Samsung Service Tech was great...all 6 times he came out.

It is my opinion that the top load washers with agitators are much better than these front load washers, while these front load washers hold much more close the problem with that is they have to be all the way full or they won't balance the spin, right? But when you feel them all the way full, they eat your clothes and leave holes in them. It's really frustrating. Not to mention the fact that I can't open my washer without the door needing to be unlocked which it won't do. If it's got water or anything in it, my top load washers, I could always open my lids on those I could adjust my cycles. I could go through the cycles. I could go back to whichever cycle these front load. You can't you don't have options and I don't really like them. And I thought they were going to be better, they're not in my opinion.
I cannot tell you how many articles of clothing have looked just like this one since I've gotten these washers or dryers, and the sad part is, I inherited them. So I don't have a receipt to do anything about it. It's not, it's as frustrating. It's very, very frustrating and it seems like it's always my newest clothes that they want to eat. Not my old raggedy clothes. Marty, get right, throw away notes. My newest clothes, my best closeting. They do get them clean and they do hold a lot of clothes. And so that's why they get it too because they do work very well for the washing part. But everything else on the side as far as not being able to switch the cycles or go back-and-forth or open it or not. Have my clothes eaten. That's why it does not get anywhere near 5.

I have had two Samsung clothes washers, a top load and a front load, both are horrible. The top-load machine lasted about 4 years and I had to replace it with a front-load machine. Both machines have a balance issue and the front-load machine also has a leak issue from the soap dispenser. Trying to get Samsung out for a service call while the machine is under warranty is almost impossible. The process they make you go through is ridiculous; they just want to diagnose the problem over the phone. I will never again buy a Samsung appliance or recommend Samsung to anyone.

I purchased the Samsung WV60A9900AV washer in June 2022, expecting a long-lasting, premium appliance. Unfortunately, the tub stopped working almost exactly 3 years later, just outside the basic 1-year warranty period. For a high-end washer in this price range, that’s unacceptable. Samsung promotes this model as durable and high-capacity, yet a major failure like this so soon shows otherwise. What’s worse, warranty support offered no meaningful assistance even though the stainless-steel tub is advertised with a 3-year warranty and the motor with a 10-year warranty. I’ve always trusted Samsung for electronics, but this experience has completely changed my opinion of their appliances. The lack of accountability and product reliability is extremely disappointing. I would strongly caution anyone considering this washer to research long-term reliability before purchasing.

There is no worse top loading washing machine than Samsung. I have had the suspension rods replaced three times in the last year. This machine is six years old. I will never buy this product again. I tried washing two small throws this morning. It goes off balance.

Horrible experience. Bought one in February. Sounds like a truck. Home Depot said give it time to work its bugs out. 4 mos in. Total disaster. Still under Samsung warranty. 2 visits 2mto house to no avail. It's a joke to them. Still waiting. 2 mos in. No washer. 2 kids under 2. Going to laundry. Nice. Stay away.

I own a Samsung washer model number WA50R5400A. From the day I bought it and installed it in my laundry it has continued to have a load imbalance at least 2-3 times during each spin cycle. My machine is level, and each load is properly distributed. No matter what I do to insure balance in my wash, during the spin cycle I have to stop what I’m doing to rush to the washing machine to rebalance the load once the machine gets under way with the spin dry. I’ve consulted with several washing machine technicians. Each time getting the same response “there is nothing wrong with your washing machine.” I’m to the point of trying a different brand. Frustrated.

Complete Trash!!!! I have always had an issue since I've purchased this washer years ago. The water stopped coming out. The load will rinse and repeat 3 times just in order to spin. A complete waste of money and time every single wash. I WISH the comments were here to stop me from throwing my money down the drain.

Had a certified master appliance technician come take a look at it and it was deemed broken and beyond repair. Called customer service and they said the unit is out of warranty and they refuse to repair or replace the unit. We own several Samsung phones, several Samsung tablets and watches and this is how we are treated!!! Total BULLSHIT!! So now we're going to have to buy a new washer after only 5 years service life!!. Total BULLSHIT!! I can guarantee you we will not be purchasing a Samsung washer or any other device again!!

Samsung Dryer Model DVE45T3200W has not worked since day one. Clothes are damp regardless of cycle, length of time or heat selected. Called and was told to clean moisture sensor. Followed video directions exactly and problem continued. Maintenance then examined and said "heating element works or it doesn't" and there was nothing they could do Yes, it works, but clothes are still significantly damp after any cycle. Very dissatisfied with my purchase.

Terrible Samsung customer support. Samsung's own technician advised the washing machine and matching dryer products we purchased were missing components from the factory. We paid around $4000 for the machines and purchased them from an authorized Samsung reseller. Samsung refused to cover the missing components. Very deceptive sales practice for Samsung to say the machine has certain features and then refuse to honor those features when it turns out they forgot to install them before the machine left their factory. What a joke. Worst customer support ever.

I will never buy Samsung again. This washer has already been recalled once, and it was replaced. But now my bleach dispenser has completely rusted out, and the dispenser has fell in. This is terrible, This washer has been nothing but problems. And now it's leaking water. I've had washers last 10 - 15 years, this one barely made it 5.

Stay away from Samsung washers. I purchased a washer in 2021 and now told by a technician the washer is mold infested. Samsung customer service refuse to provide any assistance with replacement or repair because it's out of warranty. Considering this is a unusual situation a rebate to purchase another washer would be customer service focus. 🤔

I purchased a Samsung top loader & dryer set 5 years ago and the motor/transmission has gone out. Now mine had a 10 year warranty on the motor but not labor or other parts. Essentially I am replacing it with a new GE. I have had a Roper set a Whirlpool set in the past both were used when I got them and lasted 15 plus years. I am shocked that with only 5 years of use on a brand new washer the motor failed.

Samsung SmartThings washer cleans a load of laundry thoroughly. Great spin cycle. However it has many loud and annoying alarms, and no silence button. There is an alarm disable feature that took me close to an hour to troubleshoot starting with the smartThings app striking out finally doing a YouTube search. Would love this washer if it were simpler to use with more analogue type intuitive features.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I bought a Samsung top-loader washing machine and within 6 months the motherboard and sensors failed. Their service company has already been to my home three times, replaced parts, and yet the machine is still faulty. Now, instead of resolving the issue, Samsung keeps postponing my appointments, leaving me without a working washer for weeks. This is completely unacceptable for a major purchase that is supposed to last years, not months. Samsung has shown zero accountability and no urgency in honoring their warranty. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance and strongly urge others to avoid them as well.

Samsung active jet top load washer has been a complete nightmare to own. Unbalanced loads starts an automatic rinse cycle during the final spin. It can take hours to complete a small load. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and serious safety concerns regarding my Samsung washer and dryer. After only three years of ownership, the washer began smoking from inside the drum—a horrifying and unsafe malfunction, especially with both of my children present at home. Following this alarming incident, I contacted Samsung customer service and was subjected to numerous questions, all while being required to submit photos and a video documenting the issue. Ultimately, the Samsung representative concluded that a technician would need to visit—but that I would be charged for the service. I find it unacceptable that, after purchasing a product from a brand renowned for quality and safety, I am being held responsible for what appears to be a potentially dangerous defect.
When I voiced my concerns, a manager called back. Rather than resolving the matter, the manager refused to allow me to explain my situation and abruptly ended the call—leaving me no closer to a solution. I must ask: does Samsung truly believe it is fair or responsible to shift the burden of cost to the customer when a three-year-old appliance begins smoking and could, quite literally, become a fire hazard?
This treatment stands in stark contrast to Samsung’s mission, which asserts that the company “devote[s] its talent and technology to creating superior products and services that contribute to a better global society.” Samsung’s own values include excellence, integrity, and co-prosperity, and it pledges to “create products and services that give customers the best satisfaction.” By allowing a product to malfunction in such a dangerous manner—and then refusing to offer proper support—Samsung is failing to live up to its stated commitment to quality, safety, fair treatment, and community responsibility. I would appreciate an urgent escalation of my case: a full safety inspection of the washer at no additional charge, and either a repair, replacement, or reimbursement. Please help restore my confidence in Samsung’s dedication to its customers’ safety and satisfaction.

My washer is 8 yrs old. Called Samsung for service. Was given Cone Appliance number to call for service. Cone Appliance is the only service Samsung uses and they suck. Headed to get a washer tomorrow and guarantee it won't be a Samsung. I don't even care if the new one is a different color and style as long as it isn't a Samsung. Unfortunately I just purchased a new Samsung refrigerator a few months ago so I'm stuck with it, probably won't last long anyway. If you don't agree to use Cone Appliance as your repair person Samsung with not honor your warranty. Cone Appliance will not answer their phone. You leave a message and it will be days for a return call to even get a scheduled date for repair.
When you do get a call you will get numerous calls from numerous different states wanting your debit/credit card in the amount of 200.00 before they will even schedule you a repair date. I am old (64) and probably won't be needing a lot of appliances in my lifetime but Samsung using Cone Appliance will never get my business again. Don't believe me? Try dialing 941-727-6737. Choose option 1 for Samsung. You will get an answering machine and have to wait days for a call back.

If Samsung had fixed the issue with their washer I would recommend it. My issue is that I cannot use the Normal cycle because the rinse doesn't work. The rinse works in Quick Wash and heavy duty but in normal it never fills and agitates during the rinse so not all of the soap is removed. I had service person out twice but updating firmware does not fix the issue. Samsung said normal is only for 4-6 lbs of laundry so they told us how to test that amount but of course that made no difference. The rinse just does not work for normal. Mine is the impeller 4.5 CU. WA45T3200AW/A4 model.

To make things worse, Samsung’s customer service has been a nightmare. They sent out a technician who clearly didn’t know how to fix the issue. After wasting our time, they said they would reschedule for another appointment, but no one ever showed up or even bothered to notify us.
