The worst washing machine I have ever used. It’s almost like it’s intentionally built to fall apart after the extended warranty period ends through Lowe’s. 8 out of 10 loads will not spin without going off balance and sounding like it is self destructing. Then when this happens, it refills with water in an attempt to rebalance. Over and over again this happens so this so called high efficiency washer ends up running thru numerous tubs of water just to wash a single load. I have replaced the suspension rods 3 times in the past year and they seem to fix it for a week or two, then back to the same old issue. Definitely will NEVER purchase another Samsung appliance after this $900 pile of junk.

DO NOT BUY…. As many have said, this washer is constantly unbalanced. More emphasis is on AI sensing technology… It doesn’t work… If this is to help people that don’t know how to load a washer; they will never get the 1st load of laundry done and seriously, do we need an app for a washer, especially this 1 that you might as well pull a chair up to, so you can constantly keep an eye on. As many have said, it constantly keeps adding water, trying to balance it, even when you put it on spin only, what part of SPIN ONLY, includes water… If they’re trying to convince people this is a water saving washer… IT'S NOT, there’s no water saving with this piece of junk… I’ve had to run out to the garage, check on it to make sure it doesn’t start adding water, over and over again… completely power it off, pull the soaking wet clothes out, recalibrate, put the clothes back in and keep fingers crossed it completes the cycle.
I can only imagine if I’d have used the app, which I don’t and never will, would come home to find the washer has banged and jumped all over the place with a tub load of soaking wet, soured clothes… Forget about doing anything else, but, monitoring this washer, otherwise, you’ll find it took you all day to do 1 load… Just give me back our old sensorless washers; the ones that got the laundry clean, spun the clothes dry and didn’t require babysitting it like a child.

I’ve purchased the top line Samsung front load washer and dryer. Worst money I have ever spent. Washer has to be cleaned constantly due to MOLD!! Smells awful!! Wish I never purchased these. Dryer has already had the mother board replaced, took two weeks. I PURCHASED 1 YEAR AGO!!!! My girlfriend has a GE stackable front loaders, never had had to run a cleaning cycle. I have to run mine every week and it still smells, tried bleach wash, no help.

I am just ok with my Samsung washer/dryer. I have 2 separate sets with the oldest being about 10 years old and the other 8 years old. Upon reading these reviews I do need to comment that we did have the rust issue. Looked exactly like the pictures posted here. Samsung came out and replaced the pieces that were rusting. The annoying thing being that the new parts are not the same color white as the original washer so I have 2 different colors going on with the washer. The washer also becomes unbalanced all the time as other reviewers have mentioned. It then starts to add more water, one load can end up taking 2 hours. So they are not the best and seeing all the same issues I have I can see it is a common issue with these machines. I would not purchase again but can deal with until these are done.

If I could give no stars I would. I cannot recommend enough AGAINST buying this washer. It is absolutely the worst washer I have ever owned in my entire life. It is constantly "unbalanced." The washer has been leveled, I have reset the washer, every trick to try and balance this washer. Little loads, big loads, it is constantly unbalanced. Then when it senses that is is "unbalanced" the washer adds more water to even try and even it out. It will do that for an additional hour before it stops and starts beeping at you. So you have to sit by and watch each load of laundry you do, or it will never finish. Then you still end up with dripping wet clothes. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG WASHER!!

I just purchased a new Samsung Washer and dryer and the washer leaves soap scum on my clothes so had to turn it rinse 3 times which I do not find effect for water use because I live on a farm and haul water. I have a upgraded water system with filters and pressure pumps and dishwasher shower, etc. Have more than enough pressure. No lack, almost too much pressure. The dryer takes at least 3 drying cycles to almost dry clothes. I have run dryer empty for a few minutes, opened door and not even hot. Bad results for upgraded high efficiency appliances.
Samsung says I have to hire a electrician and a plumber to make sure my services are adequate to run appliances. Have had a washer and dryer for several years with no issues with adequate power or water pressure. They refuse to have them serviced until they receive a report from a licensed plumber and electrician. Have asked a manager to contact me. NO call back 3 times now.
I have owned the new set for a few weeks now and no effort to help with the issues, just excuses that it is my house's services. They were going to send someone until I have a land location for farm, not a physical street address. That's when all the excuses and added requirements started. It's my soap. Sent picture and use from tide acceptable for high efficient washer and checked Samsung website also acceptable detergent for my washer. Dryer 220, dryer plug acceptable for dryer but needs testing but works properly for other appliances. Believe me I checked. Just overall bad customer support. No returned phone calls and get hung up on when I ask for a manager.

Samsung is not a good washer at all. 120 days in now and it's throwing error codes and stops washing as it begins to spin. Costco refuses to take it back and Samsung will only send someone out to console me. I had to dry my clothes soaking wet or rewash them after clearing the error code. The error code turned out to be of an unbalanced load. I wash with only one half load. This is unacceptable. This washer is only good for washing light loads such as underwear. If you want to move up to towels or garments, my suggestion is NOT to purchase Samsung. I have the 5.5 top mount impeller washer. I do NOT recommend this product.

Save your money and look at another, more reliable brand. If the model is WA50A5400A. After 3 years the washer is no longer working.

I purchased my washer in the spring of 2015. The plastic part that covers the bolt in the center of the wash tub broke within the year, called Samsung voiced my concerns was told I would receive a call the following day, still have not received that call. Then in 2017 I purchased a Samsung dishwasher, not knowing the problems I was going to be having later. In 2019, both my washer and my dishwasher started to rust, the dishwasher started first and it was just one of the posts which had been bent so I figured that was the problem, no biggie, right, WRONG! After that, all the wheels on the bottom basket started to rust and fall off then more of the posts and the sides on the baskets. Then the washer started, first around where the door hinges are, then the softener and detergent compartment, and then all around the bleach fill area.
So in 2021 once again I call Samsung to tell them what the problem is, told the first person was asked to hold and was transferred to someone else, told them the problem and once again they took my information and I was told that I would receive a call the following day and I am still waiting on that call. I feel that my clothes should be cleaner when they come out, however, they are not because of all the rust and debris going into it during the wash. So now I am back to washing dishes by hand and I am having to wash each load of laundry twice and wash the washing machine in between loads. Laundry should not take this much effort. I personally will never buy another Samsung product.

I bought the Samsung WD80J6A00AW/EG washing machine less than three years ago and have only used it 2–3 times per week, so it hasn't been heavily used. Everything worked fine at first, but now the part holding the drum is failing completely. This is a serious issue for such a relatively new machine, especially from a supposedly reputable brand like Samsung. It’s unacceptable that such a critical component breaks down so soon. I expected more durability and reliability. Repairs are costly and not worth it for a machine this young. I have been advised to buy a new one and my question is did I pay nearly CAD $1,000 only to have a washer for three years? We have office jobs so no much load on the machine and we bought a dryer too with this with a hope that we are good for 10 years or so. This is pathetic and when I look at other comments online, this is a case of cheating, you guys kept selling a faulty product. And what's my mistake, I trusted Samsung, is it? This is a review of my Samsung top load, model WA49B5205AW washing machine purchased October 21, 2022. I had no knowledge this model had previously been recalled by Samsung along with several other models because of a potential fire hazard. On December 8, 2024 a 9C8 error code appeared in my washer at which point it stopped working. I contacted Samsung Customer Care on December 9. After a couple of attempt to reset the washer, I was informed via our chat via text message that I would receive a 2-prong dongle free of charge within 7 business days which would clear the error. Since 12/9/24 I have contacted Samsung Customer Care every 2-3 weeks informing them that in spite of each rep's assurances that the dongle would be mailed to me, I have not received one.
I have been getting the run-around, blatantly lied to and dismissed. It is impossible to speak to a Samsung representative over the phone. Each attempt to communicate by phone has resulted in 6 text communications. Customer service is non-existent. No one has bothered to check on why I have not received the dongle which would resolve the problem with my washing machine. It's like ALL the service reps have been cloned. Our past two machines lasted on average 15 years before we replaced them and one of them was used when we got it. Several years ago, my wife and I shopped for a new washer and dryer. She had seen ads for Samsung front loader washing machines. My wife believes what she sees in ads. We bought a Samsung front loader washer and dryer, Shortly after we bought them, the rubber boot behind the washer's door was covered with black mold. The washer was under warranty and Samsung replaced the boot with a new one which was supposedly mold proof. Shortly after the warranty expired, mold began growing on the boot again. That was about 3 years ago, Now the boot has cracked and water leaks when the washer is used. The part (boot) costs about $250. As the machine needs to be essentially completely disassembled to replace the boot, I was given a labor estimate of $300 to $400. So at the age of 74, I am shopping for a new washer and dryer. They will not be Samsung nor will the washer be a front loader.

Overall this washer didn’t last but 3...4 years. Knowing washers usually have a lifespan of 10 years… at least the old models did… Insane how much time and MONEY has been wasted with this washer. We have been wondering why our water bill is OUTRAGEOUS, and I mentioned to my husband that our washer hasn’t been running properly. So we did a diagnostic, it threw a 3C1 code so we bought a motor… The wrong one because my model number gives you a few options and we chose the wrong one… So wasted shipping cost and a restock fee to return and then purchase the correct one. Install it just to run the diagnostic again. Throwing the same code.
This motor is over 200 and we bought two without resolving the actual issue. At this point there is no point doing anything more to this washer other than trash it, returning the motors, or scrap it… and purchase a totally different brand because Samsung is a joke! This review was gonna be just about the washer but we have the freaking dryer too… You have no idea how many heating elements have been changed the purchase of this machine!!! I would highly recommend anyone and everyone not to waste their time or hard-earned money on these paperweights!!!

My new Samsung washer/dryer combo is completely unsatisfactory. The washer stinks. I have to disassemble the detergent drawer completely, separating it into 3 pieces, and dry thoroughly all pieces and inside the drawer each time the washer is used. As well, the rubber seal has to be dried very thoroughly as does the door. All of this, each time it is used. About once a month, I have to disassemble the drain pipe and the filter and clean and dry thoroughly. Also, I have to run the nearly 4-hour clean cycle about once a week and pour copious amounts of soda, vinegar, and bleach through the system. All of this cuts down on the odor but does not banish it entirely. The washer stinks. The cycles are extremely long and the last two spin cycles sound like a freight train coming through the house. The dryer is ridiculous so don't even get me started. I will NEVER EVER buy another Samsung product.

I have to keep the load to under 3 pounds in order for it to ot go off balance. If you aren't home and it goes off balance, it takes it back to the rinse cycle, regardless of what point in the cycle it's at. Even the final spin. I blew air through the drain pipe and it was not clogged, everything is set to regulation height and no kinks in tubes, etc. I had to manually drain the machine after each attempt and run it again to see if that solved the problem. After the third attempt I smelled a hot/burning smell from the drain pump area and shut it off and unplugged it.
I called Samsung customer service with low hopes since the 1 year manufacturer warranty had expired. The nice representative informed me that because I bought the machine in Maine, I had a 4 year warranty. I was thrilled! I needed some good news. He connected me to specialty claims and I sent in some pics of the machine via text, all went smoothly. Fast forward to me having spent over 247 minutes on the phone with at least 14 representatives. It has been nothing but smoke and mirrors and me having to repeat the same information ad nauseam. They told me the one year warranty had expired, I asked why did the first guy tell me that it was protected by a 4 year Maine warranty. They repeat that the one year warranty expired and I ask why did this guy tell me 4 years and round and round.
They closed the ticket, I googled the law and sure enough, Maine has what is known as an implied warranty of merchantability which basically protects consumers from a broken appliance that breaks down before it should reasonably do so (like within the first two years). I had to have them reopen a ticket and they just keep connecting me to different people, asking the same questions, telling me now I need to send this or that picture and now I have to wait another 24-48 hours for the next person to look at the case. One person will act like they are the savior and this won't keep happening and then the next person to call asks the same questions and tells me there is no documentation of the 11 times I have already answered these questions and they will document it, we are so sorry blah blah blah.
This is a clearly well thought out system to discourage consumers from following through with complaints and warranty issues. I have asked to speak to a supervisor every single time I speak with a representative and have been connected to a supervisor zero times. I will never buy Samsung again, if only to preserve what is left of my sanity. Just unreal.

Now I am an elderly women who probably do a wash 1 to 2 times a week at most. I find it very distressing that such an expensive washer has broken down.
Trying to get it fixed through an extended warranty at Lowes is a nightmare (that is a whole other story). I recommend that NO ONE buy this or any other Samsung washer. The washer is waste of your money, do not buy. My clothes do not get clean, had appliance man look at my machine to make sure it was nothing I was doing wrong. Man said, "Whomever designed this style with no agitators, your clothes are washing in your dirt and will never fully get my whites, white even with city water." My loads always get a piece of garment flipped over knob in bottom of tub and make a dirt circle of eternity that will never come out.
Now I personally never bought this type of washer, it came with the house, but it is going to the landfill next month. Never did I own a more Uless appliance. When I called customer service all I got was a young man reading from a pamphlet what to do, when I told him I had done all that, he goes, "It's your water, not your machine?" That is funny because with the neighbors their clothes come clean, and they laugh when I said what I owned. One of the neighbors said no wonder the last people left it. Side note only appliance left. You connect the dots. So customer service is not any good either and if they are reading this then answer this question, "Are you going to pay for a third of my work clothes?"

Don't waste your money. Samsung Washer and Dryer combos look nice and efficient however the washer DOES NOT cleAn clothes. I would also say that it makes them dingier. There's no friction to scrub the clothes during the wash. Instead the clothes are tumbled around. When I first used the washer and put in bright white and other bright colored clothing that all came out dingy! After multiple washes and various cycles which some run for over an hour - still not clean. I even scrubbed stains with detergent prior to putting clothing in and even after the washer still did not further clean the clothes.

We bought a smart washer and it's not spinning all the water out of the clothes and they've given me nothing but a hassle about getting a technician out. Also I did not receive an owner's manual with the washer but I did with the dryer. I was told they were sending one out, to wait 10 to 20 business days and here we are way past that window and still no manual. They said I had then have to download it online. I'm old school I don't do that crap online And why did they say they were going to mail me one and never did. They're now telling me we can't mail them out unless it's for Braille customers.
You spend a lot of money and then you can't get the help you need. If I could just look in my manual that I should have gotten maybe I could fix the problem. We had bought a Samsung television several years ago. Anytime I called about that I never had a problem. Their customer service has changed drastically within the last year. If you buy one of these units make sure to check periodically that it stays connected to your wifi. We purchased 8 Samsung appliances in December of 2020. 2 washers, 2 electric dryers, kitchen microwave, 2 gas stoves, a fridge and a dishwasher. The first washer started to violently shake just over a year old. Since it was out of warranty I decided to see if I could fix it. I pulled the top panel off and found the top weight has detached from the drum. 2 of the 4 bolts snapped off in half. I removed all the cheaply made bolts and replaced them with grade 8 bolts. I put an extra nylon washer on the end of the bolt after it passed through a cheap nut plate on the drum. I red loctitie everything and it lasted a couple years. Pulled it apart again and repeated the process. It started doing it again in late 2023.
I finally got a chance to look at it again. Same thing happened. However the hole that goes thought the weight had been hogged out. The plastic and the concrete around it was damaged. I called samsung and they refuse to do anything through warranty. I asked if they could send a weight under warranty, they refused everything. We are not happy with them. Our fridge's ice maker kept icing up and stopped working. Then stopped all together. They actually replaced the assembly under warranty. Probably because they have issues with them. Our other washer's paint is peeling off. One of the stoves gas igniter failed 6 months ago. The microwave door is rusting. So yeah, don't buy samsung unless it's a tv.

I purchased an expensive Samsung washing machine years ago and directly after my purchase I received a packet in the mail with an updated template for the wash cycles. Apparently one of the cycles could cause an implosion of internal parts that could send shrapnel flying. Though the company offered the services of a technician to come to my home and repair the product, I had just purchased it and was having some renovations done at home making repairs within the limited window inconvenient. I didn't use the cycle that caused the problem anyway. Though the washer is still lagging on with many other wear and tear issues it's questionable whether it will last much longer.
Several other people I know have had similar issues with Samsung washers and they have all sworn off this manufacturer. We have a Samsung washer at work and it has worked maybe 25% of the time we've had it (since 2020). Each time a repair is made, it runs a couple of weeks and something new breaks. The last repairman who came to service it told our director his suggestion was to not purchase a Samsung washer again. When even repairmen tell you the product is awful, that's a bad sign. After all, they are making money to repair broken appliances. Coupled with the frustration of a dead-before-its-time Samsung television, I'd say this company has a long way to go to make a decent product.

However, I'm already out hundreds of dollars for diagnostics for a machine which makes a horrendous grinding noise, won't spin and is a complete mess.
The second technician said it was most likely both the machine and the wiring was too small and tight. For the last 3-4 years I have owned a Samsung Washer and Dryer. Top loading washer and steam dryer...Spent a ridiculous amount of money on the set from Lowes - over $2K. It is by far the worst purchase I have ever made in my life and by far the worst purchase I ever made from Samsung. Since having these units, doing the laundry has been a nightmare. The top loader doesn't allow me to control water levels so most of the time the clothes do not get properly washed, nor can I soak clothing with a prewash; the agitation and spin tie your clothing into knots so when you pull them from the machine they are ridiculously wrinkled and hard to smooth out...and debris remains in the bottom of the machine so that it can attach to other loads of laundry. I rue the day I purchased these units!
The dryer is not any better. It also ties things up in knots and therefore does not dry the clothing. So that energy efficiency you are looking for....doesn't exist because you have to dry the clothing for HOURS. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves for selling these products and should have refunded every unit they sold where people were unhappy. Instead, they made the warranty on this so small and the service to fix ridiculously expensive. My problem now is that I have such a strong negative feeling about this purchase - I'm less interested in purchasing other items from them anymore...including my phone, laptops, TVs.
Looking at this website, two things come to mind. 1) Doesn't seem like they have Samsung Washer and Dryer as an option? Why? Did they stop selling them? and 2) The reviews that have been put up about their washers and dryers show 41% of individuals gave it a 1 star Rating...and this person concurs. If I could give 0 stars that would be my rating. I feel so strongly about this that every time I do my laundry...I am inclined to post another negative review on whichever site is providing reviews on these products so that other people do not end up in the same place as I.

Just over 3 years of light use, there are only 2 of us living in our house, the machine became unusable due consistent and constant out of balance issues. The machine goes into a perpetual state of out of balance, regardless of load size and/or type of laundry, it then refills with water, increases the rinse/spin cycle time and repeats the rinse/spin cycle over and over again until human intervention is required to stop it. Upon extensive research this is a known issues with many dozens and dozens of homeowner reports of the same issues. Several authorized appliance repair companies have also stated that Samsung is aware of the chronic issue with these so called "High Efficiency" machines. Samsung support is useless, Samsung Customer service refuses to assist.
The only option is to pay for a diagnostic and then pay to repair or research and purchase the diagnosed parts and repair yourself. I performed weeks of research work, paid for professional diagnostics, purchased and replaced tension rods and main control board myself, spending to date $250. The Professional quote to repair was $650, for a machine value new of $750. Samsung customer care states that my only option is to pay for an authorized repair service, which as I said was quoted at $650. So, Samsung is saying, re-buy your 3 year old machine by paying nearly as much as you paid new or throw it away and replace it with a new machine. The latter is my decision, I am throwing away my 3 year old Samsung High Efficiency washing machine and replacing it with a competitor's model. My advise is to never purchase anything SAMSUNG.

Next, a fourth tech came out and he said it was the dampers and we paid 400+ dollars to have new dampers installed, washer still didn't work. The fifth tech said the dampers were installed incorrectly so he changed positions of the dampers, still didn't work.
The sixth tech came the day after 2 days of rain and there was a water bug on the back of the machine. The tech took a photo and sent it to Samsung, next thing you know Samsung says we have a bug infestation. I was amazed. We don't have bugs in our house. I explained that seeing those bugs after a hard rain was not uncommon. Nevertheless, our exterminator made an extra trip (cost extra) to assure Samsung we did not have an infestation. I even sent in documentation. Well, now guess what? In addition to five other techs who never saw any bugs, in addition to a "pest infestation", now Samsung say there is physical damage. That came out of left field since our washer is in perfect physical condition. Tired of all Samsung's malarkey, we bought a new and different machine yesterday. Samsung will never get anymore of my business, ever.

Samsung appliances has the worst customer service available. I was hung up on by a supervisor because he refused to take a complaint over the phone or let me speak to his higher up. It’s been 3 weeks since we’ve had one of their vendors come look at our washing machine and tell us it’s unrepairable. We are still waiting for the issue to be resolved. Samsungs returns and exchange department are no help and continue to repeat the same information that has gotten us nowhere. I wanted to file a complaint about the return process since supposedly they have everything they need and we still need to wait an additional 8 days to obtain approval on the return and receive a link so we can proceed with this return under warranty which is the second time we’ve gone through this return process and have gotten nowhere.
We shouldn’t have to wait an additional 8 days for a resolution that should have been done weeks ago. Their complaint process is a text you receive and they don’t help either. No one takes accountability to help the customer and resolve the concern. The last supervisor from the exchanges and return department refused to get me to their manager so I can submit a formal complaint about the process taking even longer when we’ve already been waiting an excessive amount of time and their excuse was that’s the process by the company and it wasn’t a good enough reason to talk to a manager. I tried to explain processes can be changed because of complaints submitted and they still did not understand the importance of my complaint.
Apart from the back and forth I received from them, the vendor they choose to work with in the Sacramento, Ca area is just as awful giving me a similar runaround. I refuse to do any business with Samsung in the future and will continue to relay my bad experience with others in hopes that the awful service received by Samsung can discontinue. Within a week the washer motherboard was not working properly, but it got fixed. Now, 2 years and 4 months later the motherboard (Control Panel) is not working again. I called Samsung warranty department on April 15, 2023; I was informed that since it’s out of warranty I will have to pay for labor, but the motherboard will be covered by Samsung. The Samsung authorized technician from Home Service Network, Inc visited our residence on April 20, 2023; he confirmed the motherboard is bad. He informed us there is one in the New Jersey warehouse; he should be able to have the part in 4 days (by April 26).
I have called additional two third party technicians to diagnose the washer; one was a small business and second was Sears - they both agreed that the motherboard is bad, but they also informed me the motor is bad. They also informed be Samsung is no longer making these parts. Since I didn’t get a call from Home Service Network, I called them on April 26th. When I asked for an update, I was informed Samsung is no longer making these motherboards; I should be eligible to get an exchange or a refund, but I will have to call Samsung Warranty department so that they can provide me with next steps. After being on hold for nearly an hour, I was informed that I don’t qualify for the exchange or refund since the one year warranty has lapsed.
I have bought other washers over the years (Whirlpool, LG, Kenmore) with no major issues. I bought a Samsung washer thinking the company would stand with their product, but I am being told the motherboards are not being manufactured, but I see Samsung selling 6 cu. ft. The second month, I noticed a crack in the agitator. After a week, a repairman came without the correct part and said that he could not fix it due to physical damage was not covered under the warranty. I then spoke with Samsung and told them that I did not cause the damage but they would not cover it. After 4 months, no one has repaired this even though I have called them twice.

Samsung uses an automated detergent and softener. It does not release enough to clean even lightly dirty clothes. Samsung requires less than 1/2 the tub full of clothes. Because the smaller load is required to work, you have to run 2 times to get the same number of clothes clean. Because the water level NEVER reaches half way, there is not enough water or detergent to truly get clothes clean. Only because less than half the washer volume can be use is Samsung able to get any kind of energy or environmental usage. Regardless of the fact you have to run 2 loads for the same number of clothes. Why offer a larger tub if you can't use it? Why such a tiny limit on detergent and softener and not allow the user to even use what the detergent manufacture says to use?
Also, with so many electronics and computer programming, you should at least let the user reduce the end of cycle song to only 5 seconds at most. This is annoying while the other complaints are a waste. DON'T BUY SAMSUNG WASHERS. Even though it has a large tub, you can't even use 1/2 of it. What a waste of money.

Please save your hard earned money. I purchased the Samsung Washer/Dryer brand new. It never worked well. Moldy smells and long wash cycles lasting over 3 hours, with a loud motor despite light loads. Small household so not much washing. In less than 5 years, I have to shell out money to replace it. Thank Goodness that I signed up for an extended warranty where I will get credit to apply to a new washer. But new washers are not cheap and I have to make up the difference. This was not something I budgeted for, noting that the machine is relatively new and hardly used (was in an insulated storage unit between moves). This is an unexpected expense that includes the hassle of going to the Laundromat every week, because I can no longer use the machine due to defective parts and sky-high utility bills because of the long wash cycles lasting hours and hours, and more damage.
The Dryer is just as bad. Laundry comes out damp in some places, and dry in others, despite over an hour cycles and me manually rotating the clothes midcycle. Don't get me started on how that valve on the Washer flood my house overnight, triggering the smoke detector alarm where the water was being channeled down to another floor. Had to call the Fire Dept. where they confirmed that the flood was coming from the Samsung Washer that had triggered the smoke detector. Rude awakening at 2 am, not to mention the damage and stress. It will fill up with water and attempt to agitate the clothes into a more even load and try again to spin. I put in a load the first morning, went out all day and came back to the washer beeping. It had repeated this cycle all day and emptied the 500 gallons of water in my tank.
The only way I can get it to spin jeans or towels is to watch when it finishes draining and starts the spin cycle. I quickly turn it off. I have to take everything out and wring out the water. Then I carefully lay the clothes around the drum in perfect sequence. I reset the washer to spin cycle only and carefully watch it for the first 3 minutes. If I have failed to create the perfect balance it will go off balance, stop, and start filling with water. I have to abort, rearrange the clothes and try again. This is a **!

I purchased a washer and dryer set on June 11th from Lowe's in Maine. It was delivered on June 12th the very next day. My customer service experience with Lowe's was excellent however just 10 weeks after purchasing the set the washer is completely dead with an error code ac6. The washer is completely unusable. I was told due to a software malfunction was the cause of the washer dying and because Samsung next update will not be ready until September 7th there is nothing that can be done for my washer. They are hopeful when the service technician can come on September 9th that the new update will resolve the issue but they're not even sure since the update is not even complete.
The set was almost $2,000. I feel I should be allowed a new washer because if it's already having problems to the point where it cannot be used after only two and a half months. Imagine where we'll be at 12 months and how many times this machine is going to need service. I contacted Samsung multiple times. They were unwilling to provide me with a new washer. They told me I had to deal with the manufacturer's warranty so essentially I paid two grand for garbage. I do not recommend Samsung appliances to anyone for any reason. Buyers beware.

Don't take my word for it, check out all the YouTube videos of Samsung washers that have mold. Mine had mold and rust in just 2 maybe 3 years. With the mold smell still lingering, I'm afraid the mold spores got behind my the walls.

Our less than 1-year-old Samsung front-load washer counterweight literally exploded. The washer moved across our laundry room and the washer and platform were both destroyed. Our daughter heard the noise, went in and tried to turn the machine off with the power button, and when that didn't work, had to risk injury to go behind the washer to unplug it. First Samsung sent a tech out, who immediately determined it was beyond repair, and spent over an hour on the phone with the company. Then, Samsung said they couldn't replace it (Home Depot & Lowes won't work with them - shocking).
Two months and about 14 hours on the phone later, after providing them copies of invoices and photos multiple times (they 'couldn't find them'), it took me threatening small claims court via a letter for us to get our refund. They wouldn't refund or replace the platform that their washer destroyed. One of their representatives from the Dominican Republic had so much noise in the background (kids screaming and doors slamming) I could barely hear him. It was obvious the company hopes people will just give up and go away. Worst experience ever. I've now been told by several service people that Samsung is THE WORST company. We will never purchase another Samsung product.

In August of 2021 we purchased a new Samsung Front Load Washer (Model WF45R6100AC/US) and the matching Electric Dryer (Model DVE45R6100C/A3) from Big Sandy Superstore in Chillicothe Ohio. We purchased Samsung products due to recommendations from our friends and family members, however I have to admit I’m NOT pleased with your product and let me explain why.
We had a washer and dryer that was 25 years old and it worked fine with no issues but we decided it was time to upgrade to new units as a way to conserve water and be more energy efficient. We live in a rural area so we have to drive 40 miles one way to even shop at the big chain stores in order to save money. Our washer and dryer is not even 1 years old and have had to contact Samsung to request warranty service due to the washer making a loud thumping and banging noise. It took over a week before a technician even came. When the technician inspected the machine and asked us questions he talked to someone on the phone and informed us the unit could not be fixed and it would have to be replaced.
Now I’m having to wait once again for the replacement. Then days later we are informed that the washer we had originally purchased is no longer readily available and this is where things turn for the worst. We now have to pick another washing machine - ( so much for having a matching set ) and we have to pay out of pocket another $700-800 until Samsung can refund/credit the original purchase back because of internal issues. This is absolutely ridiculous that as the consumer we are having to repay for something due to your internal issues, then on top of it all Samsung is NOT removing or disposing of the broken machine or hooking it up, now we are having to find someone and pay to dispose of your broken machine as well as having to pay for someone to hook it back up!
We are VERY disappointed in Samsung for treating us this way. We have wasted 4-5 hours on the phone with your customer service department and have had to adjust our fixed income to pay for another washer that was already paid for that was to be covered under warranty. We also have had to be inconvenienced by having to drive to the laundromat, it's not an easy task with our health issues loading and unloading laundry not to mention the costs associated with the laundromat. When you're on a fixed income and spend 1,500.00 on an appliance one would expect that it's going to last, and you should not have to pay again for another machine and wait to get reimbursed from the company that you have the warranty with, plus finding someone to properly dispose and hook the new machine up that’s another cost we now have to pay and to top it all off its not even a matching set any longer.

We purchased a washer and dryer brand new 3 years ago. The dryer had several issues over the years and is having one again now however the washing machine had developed a rust just over a year ago and had gotten extremely bad. Chipping away all the paint around the inner top and ruining some clothes. Seeing similar reviews I reached out to Samsung directly. They asked for model info and pictures which I promptly sent. They replied quickly that there is nothing they will do. Last Samsung product I’ll ever purchase.

I bought a brand new washer/dryer set in December 2019 in Brandsmart. The washer stop working suddenly. I use the machine is only once weekly for a light clothes. The technician inform me that the board doesn’t work properly and isn’t sending the message to the water valve inlet for filling with water so is a electrical problem. Long story short the machine doesn’t work and the cost for repair is super expensive. For me doesn’t make sense that a barely used machine is not working anymore and is worst when the machine isn’t abused, just an adult couple. My advice stay away from Samsung appliances. Isn’t the the first time I have a problem. Unfortunately I bought all the appliances Samsung.
